- davidmY6245QM (2/5): Terrible manager with Terrible attitude. - Once again I have write another bad review about this hotel. This is second time I have been really badly treated here. So it isnt just a coincidence. We were trying to book in on Saturday night but the staff were telling us we were booked into the Premier inn at St Enochs. This reference number had already seen the rest of our party get their rooms. But we were assured that we were booked into St Enochs. So we got a taxi to the other hotel, only to be told that we were definitely booked into the Gorbals branch. So got a taxi back and again the same outcome. Obviously by this stage we were quite annoyed. So now comes along the manager, who from the outset had a terrible attitude. It ended up with him refusing us into the hotel, as he was offended.
So do yourself a favour and stay well clear of this branch of the Premier inn. By the way, the lady dealing with us at St Enoch's branch, was excellent.
- AlanK348 (4/5): Awful noise from adjacent room(s) - The room was generally fine apart from a badly peeling counter edge. It was large (not complaining about that) but it made it seem under-furnished and a bit unwelcoming. Nice, clean, recently refurbished bathroom. Good water pressure in the shower. BUT: awful noise from room above, continuous clumping and bumping from feet. and at 5:30 in the morning a fan started up with a noise like a rocket and was still running when I left the room at 9am. And more clumping from above. No way I could get back to sleep. Dreadful night. They couldn't move me for the second night (hotel was full) which fortunately was less noisy.
- angelaaK681HR (10/5): Trip to Glasgow to see Callum Beattie in concerr. - Nice location, clean room, comfy beds, welcoming staff, lovely breakfast.
Prebooked taxis there and baxj, smooth journey then back to our cisy room.
- KittyMac1970 (10/5): Reliably good - Great location for city centre and not too long a walk back from Hampden Park. Rooms were good as they always are at a Premier Inn. Friendly, welcoming staff throughout.
- Robert (10/5): - Everything was just fine.
- Dreamer01171895184 (2/5): Hotel needs a full refurbishment and better maintenance - I really don’t understand the recent good reviews. Staff is nice and area is convenient. I had to stay there a few times for work and every time room was cold, very noisy radiator, black mould and dust on walls in the bedroom (room on top floor) and in the bathroom.
They are currently refurbishing the elevator but should really refurbish the whole place!
Very disappointed, usually premier inn are better than this.
- D1144KZjeremyh (8/5): Short break in Glasgow - This hotel is convenient as it is approximately 15 mins walk from the city centre. It has excellent parking which costs £9 a day, but that's par for the course nowadays. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. We did have an evening meal but breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We would definitely stop there again.
- ljbroccoli (4/5): Great room, awful customer service - Room was great, customer service was less than average.
No one looked like they wanted to be there. Not helpful at all and didn’t even smile at you when you walk into the hotel! Not helpful whatsoever and were rude.
- F6829OVjoshuag (10/5): Amazing service from Tatiana - Phenomenal 5* service from Tatiana, always helpful and talkative. She always really makes the hotel feel like home.
Thank you, as always
Josh
- Coc0o99 (10/5): Overnight and breakfast - I recently stayed at this hotel and had a really nice experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. I also opted for breakfast and was a good start to the day, plenty of choice and everything tasted fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, a solid and pleasant stay. Would happily book again.
- HT1006 (10/5): Would stay again - Stayed recently and had a really good experience all round. Good room, good sleep and good food. Staff were really good!
- whereisany (2/5): Cleanliness issues and insect found during stay - I stayed at the Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre South for 3 nights. Unfortunately, I found an insect on my bed on the second night, which could possibly have been a bedbug (photo attached). There was no suitable alternative room available at the time, but the team was very friendly and provided fresh bed linen.
Overall cleanliness was below expectations.
Staff throughout my stay were kind and helpful, but the cleanliness issues and the incident significantly affected the quality of my stay.
- lewisboxall123 (10/5): Would recommend this hotel - Room is lovely and the food was good value. But the best thing about the hotel was the helpful staff; Devlin and Ewan (and manager) were great, very helpful and accommodating.
- A4782UCcatherineh (10/5): Would go back - Great location for access to city centre, transport links and supermarket just round the corner.
Friendly staff team, quick and easy check in - also plenty of car parking.
Family room was everything needed and buffet breakfast set us up for the day.
- loiner-bloke (6/5): Average for a premier inn - Hotel is nice and close to glasgow centre , but you have to pay for parking £9 guest rate for 24 hours should be included in price of stay to be honest ?? Operated by horizon parking , plenty of spaces available but no security on either entering or leaving , so what is the payment for ?????
Room was nice and clean with comfy beds . Had to ask for extra towels and pillows but that wasnt a problem
Very quiet room to be fair was facing busy road but didnt hear any noise and the blackout curtains made a huge difference
Very major negative about this hotel is the breakfast bar . Mega small for the size of hotel. Had to queue in morning for a table for family of 4 and 1 of the mornings had to have 2 seperate tables
Also food dishes empty most of time. Constantly had 2 ask if there was any more food available , bacon eggs etc .
No clean cups avaulable again had to ask for some
Not enough choce on the continental side of the breakfast. Just croissants and nothing else
Overall wouldnt stop here again due to parking costs and especislly the fiasco at breakfast times
Felt sorry for the staff in running around non stop
Simply not enough staff for the size of hotel
- katiecB1194NV (10/5): Amazing - a very nice hotel, good distance from the town centre, lovely staff especially Dion, very welcoming and chatty, helped us out a lot
- davidrP7130PO (10/5): Plus is Plus - The new Premier Plus rooms are a step above the older style. Fresh feeling and loved the wireless charger beside the bed. But the small other extras like a coffee machine and fridge make such a big difference
- AndieH (10/5): Does exactly what it says on the tin - excellent! - One of the reasons I book with Premier Inn is that I really like to know what I am getting! This one is no exception - as always, it's very good value for money. As an added bonus, it's well set back from the road so it's blissfully quiet at night. We stayed for 3 nights - Suzanne was on reception for part of our stay and is such a lovely welcoming person. Breakfast was a particular highlight - efficient, friendly smiley service and a delicious selection. We would certainly stay again and are happy to recommend it.
- sandradT2321JW (10/5): Excellent - Excellent hotel
Guy on reception was very welcoming. Lovely warm , clean comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Fantastic breakfast.Well run breakfast room.
Breakfast staff friendly and efficient
Excellent stay
- M8085FSdenised (4/5): D. Downie October 26 - Staff pleasant on arrival, changed room for disabled room on groundfloor as lift was broken and no other rooms available.
Room had mushrooms growing in it at 2 walls.
Breakfast - sausages were cremated burnt black, mushrooms cold and black pudding greasy.
Vending machine in lobby of hotel was out of order.
Will not be back.
- KatySurrey (8/5): Noisy neighbours! - I've stayed here many times. It's a great location for Glasgow and the countryside around. It's always comfortable. The staff are always helpful. Unfortunately the guests above my room were very noisy on 2 of my 3 nights. Hard to understand how people can be so inconsiderate.
- pedalrog2018 (10/5): Premier Inn, Glasgow South - I was very impressed with this Premier Inn. The staff on reception were great, very helpful, the room was spacious, clean, at the front but there was no road noise. The bathroom was also large and clean, everything there that we needed. Accommodation very reasonably priced.
We also ate in the restaurant, these can sometimes be hit and miss, however, this one was excellent. Very good food, the staff were friendly and attentive, spotted when my drink was finished and asked if I wanted another (this always gains brownie points for the staff). Great value, we had the evening "meal deal".
The only bad point was that the beer choice was poor, no real ale, the nearest to it was Doombar that I don't rate at all. The Guiness was good though and the man who poured it knew how to do it properly!
So, full marks to Premier Inn, breakfast thrown in as well, I will be back here!
- E4817ZNchristinet (10/5): Great experience - First time staying here-very impressed with the cleanliness of our room.
2 of the staff in the corridor were very helpful when I asked what was in the area-wish I’d got their names!
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends and family
- E8180PImarkh (10/5): Perfect Stay for a Business Trip - I stayed at the Premier Inn Glasgow Bearsden while on a business trip and it was exactly what I needed after a long day. The location is great, the staff are friendly and welcoming and having a pub right next door made it easy to relax in the evening. Comfortable, convenient, and excellent value, I’d happily stay again.
- cmbdeas (8/5): Noisy neighbours!!! Comfortable room. - I've stayed at The Premier Inn, Bearsden many times. I've always been comfortable and the staff are always friendly and attentive. This visit was no exception.
On 2 of my 3 nights' stay, however, the guests in the room above were very noisy. Thumping loudly until 1am. It's so inconsiderate. The staff apologised but I suppose there's not much they can do at one o'clock in the morning.
I agree the brambles and plants are overspilling onto the paths and stairs outside. They need trimming back ASAP.
- Companion18925539574 (8/5): Work stay - Good to do with a bit of work the windows were hard to close with the latch about snapping off, apart from that nice and quiet and comfortable bed would stay again
- 138mob (10/5): Happy customer - Value for money! Location was good a short walk from the bridge to get to the city centre . Our room was modern clean and fresh relaxing with no noise levels from outside . The bed was amazing and we had a restful sleep during our stay. We will return at some point and I would recommend this premier Inn
- bellawest1 (2/5): Avoid!! - This hotel was a huge disappointment after being a fan of Premier Inns. The rooms are grubby and really uncomfortably hot.,at one stage 28 degrees with only an inadequate fan to cool. We did open a window but had to close it due to noise thought the night v under the window.
The restraunt was dirty with uncleared sticky tables and we had to put up with foul mouthed loud men who the staff just laughed at whilst we were in the bar and families were in the restaurant area. We asked for a glass for a bottle of wine we bought (4 of us) to be told they only had 3 glasses. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. The break fast was mediocre.
The whole experience was depressing and there’s no way we would recommend anyone staying at this hotel.
- richardrG3736DQ (10/5): Excellant Stay - Everything went perfect for the weekend. Food at Breakfast and Evening Meal was worth the combined offer, Wife did make comment about not enough choice on the Continental side but cooked breakfast is good.
- alex936 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Room was very basic but clean . Not much space for hanging clothes . No drawers to put underwear ect or storing t shirts . Ok for couple days as didn’t have a lot of clothes with us
Bathroom very nice and spotless
We had meal deal which we thought was a good price
Went for evening meal lots on menu no longer available so we felt limited to what we could choose . We had starter main and desert
Starter of soup and prawn cocktail took 40 minutes to arrive .. Steak pie was burnt on top but my hubby said filling was nice
I had scampi it was nice
Breakfast however was a let down we went at 8 thinking food would be hot and fresh and although fresh it was Luke warm mushrooms and tomato were tasteless and cold . Real let down .
The staff were really nice and helpful and friendly
I would stay again but just not have the food
- Bonnie (6/5): - While my room was very clean, the carpeting in the hallways was dirty. Ick. I was sure breakfast was included but it wasn't.
- Spiffy69 (4/5): Average at very best. - Clean enough.
Understaffed or staff were constantly elsewhere.
Food was appalling. Ordered a steak and chips and the steak came out grey and mostly fat.
Breakfast was all overcooked and almost inedible.
Hotel is overpriced for what it offers and I'd only stay here again if I had no choice.
- 419leannef (10/5): Best priemer inn hotel best manager and staff! 5 stars!!! 😁 - Me and my partner have been staying at this hotel for 2 month's now and have come across some not so good issues throughout our stay at this hotel as soon as we have reported them on all 3 occasions 1st problem was resolved in a matter of minutes by staff member Andy who is a very polite gentleman and greets guests with a smile 24 7 top man.
We had a few issues with some stuff in our room and when the issue couldn't be resolved wonderful smiling receptionist Tatiana is always on hand and goes out of her way everytime to help resolve the issue to the best of her knowledge and ability well done Tatiana top lady.
When you need a hand at night or if you have any issues throughout the night you have always got the wonderful well spoken gentlemen himself A.J is always at hand to help you with any issues you may have throughout the night well done A.J top man thankyou for doing a grand job and keeping your guests safe why they capture their Z Z Z Z Z Zs.
Me and my partner are night workers so when it comes to having house keeping and room clean this can be a challenging time for us as we can only get the house keeper in our room at the weekend due to being night workers and everytime we need our room cleaned house keeper/receptionist Lou is on top form and is a pleasure to have as a staff member at priemer inn hotels and sets a fantastic example to the priemer inn hotels and hotel industry 10/10 for staff member Lou lovely lady we love you Lou.
And lastly not forgetting the biggest Most important lady of all the one and only person who makes this hotel a pleasure for the guests to come to every time and it's not the easiest job being a manager in any industry it can certainly be a challenging time but not for this lady who makes being a manager look easy and gets her job done and keeps her staff and guests happy and gets through her working day with flying colours and nothing ever seems too much trouble for her when you stay at this priemer inn hotel and no one is as amazing as they are and greet the customers like they do on your check ins and bid you your farewells on your departures from the hotel the one and only biggest most important member of staff the wonderful lady/manager herself Shelley who knows how to make a hotel a pleasure to come to and makes you feel at home well done Shelley 10/10 for you you are the best manager ever well done and thankyou for being you.
- ianmJ9177LX (10/5): Overnight stay - I had booked the room for a one night stay so I could spend some time to sort out some family matters in the area. Check in was done online but the gentleman that booked me in was nice and friendly. In the morning for check out I recognised that Lou had served me on a previous visit and she was lovely and asked how things were going as she had remembered the conversation from a couple of months ago. This showed great customer service as I was no doubt just one of hundreds of people that she had interacted with since the last visit. Well done Lou, and thank you.
- B3450WOtomw (10/5): Excellent - Wonderful experience! The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- davidrK2942ZO (10/5): Thank you - Big thank you to Tatiana for looking after me during my stay from checking in to booking me a table in restaurant and making sure I registered my car
- lc032017 (10/5): Very comfortable with delicious breakfast - Lovely very comfortable stay. Breakfast fast and efficient for my quick visit which was just perfect. Definitely would recommend and come back again.
- Kevimac (8/5): Exceptional Comfort a quick walk from town - The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre, with plenty of parking and excellent staff. The bedroom was a new style but the bed had the usual Premier inn reliably comfortable bed.
But no fridge in the room, and it was missing a set of towels for one of our party. However, the night staff supplied these promptly when informed. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay.
- Venture56169431034 (10/5): Highly recommended - Clean and comfortable room. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Ideal for business trip. Very convenient restaurant..
- Jozsef (6/5): OK for tight budget - The stay at the hotel was disappointing. Staff is either understaffed or disappearing somewhere as you continuously had to wait for someone to show up at the front desk or at the bar if you wanted something. The room was relatively clean but the corridors are dirty, no sign of hoovering. It’s okay if you are on a tight budget but if you can spend more then try to book something else.
- Flyer526460 (6/5): Premier Inn - not value for money - The first impression outside was poor - lots of overgrown shrubbery, many weeds, grubby steps from car park. The room was comfortable but needed a refurb - ie scuff marks on walls & ceiling, black mould around bath, scratches on bathroom mirror. It cost £324 for 2 nights, plus breakfast was £10.99 if required. Would not stay there again for that price.
- sha1ron (4/5): Off putting reception area small and smelly - Scruffy and unclean on first impression. Glad to say room and bathroom clean.
Reception check in was slow
Breakfast cutlery and plates not properly washed. Food luke warm
Charging top price
Disappointing no communal lounge to meet or congregate before or after
Outside entrance to hotel and pub littered with cigarette butts
- 250dazm (10/5): Perfect stay - Stayed for 1 night Fri 8th August as we were attending an event at Gillingham Golf Club. Hotel was perfect location as it was only a 5 minutes walk away.
Early check in was nice and easy with a super friendly and helpful member of staff.
Fan supplied in the room was much needed and free onsite parking was also a bonus.
- Fabian (10/5): Staff staff staff - We hadn't had good reviews for this hotel chain. It was our first visit and it changed our perspective on the hotel. Overall, the hotel is fully booked, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff's service is superlative; Sarah and Colin will make your stay sublime. The only drawback of the hotel is that it's 10 minutes from restaurants, although you can eat at the hotel restaurant, which is fine. It's also worth mentioning that the city center is a 14-minute walk away.
- 381stephene (10/5): Does what it says… - Not the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed at as no aircon. The staff were top notch as usual! Tetania, Andy and the rest of the reception staff were excellent! Always friendly and asking how my day went!
Lucy in the restaurant attached was great. She had everything under control when we visited.
The only down side was the food wasn’t the best, but it did the trick.
All in all if I had to stay again, I would!
- 144leroyg (2/5): Grotty and a bit pants. - The whole place feels greasy. Urine soaked skirting boards, rubbish in hallways. Overall grotty. No power point near bed. No air con. Avoid. Chairs in the restaurant were disgusting
- ianrD4273KG (4/5): doesn't live up to their guarantee - staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Room exactly what you expect from a Premier Inn. Food and drinks to help relax unavailable after 22:00 so for any guests arriving late after a long journey not very many opportunities to relax. Vending machines have small selection, overpriced and the food machine was not working.
AC not working in room so windows open, noisy fan and extremely noisy neighbourhood doe NOT guarantee a good night sleep, if any sleep at all
- MrsTHallett (10/5): Excellent & welcoming - We have stayed here several times for a 3 night then 7 night and now a 9 night stay. Lou and the team have gone above and beyond in their welcome, helpfulness and ensuring we feel valued. The hotel yes has no air-con, but we had a fan in our room but this did not distract from our stays. Would not hesitate to recommend Premier Inn Gillingham. Thank you to everyone on the team buy especially Lou for making our stays so enjoyable.
- N2658ZIgaryl (4/5): Could be better - Staff was not helpful when we arrived quite blunt with us from the get go.
Room was clean.
Asked if their was any discount for ex forces or blue light card holders and staff were very blunt and rude.
- FarAway51945219699 (10/5): Alfie is great man and tatiana is very nice can’t wait to see them again soon - Staff alone make me want to come back thanks to Alfie and Tatiana. Service was perfect and the beds are perfect. Ten out of Ten
- M3703BDdenisep (2/5): Bed bugs-avoid - We booked this room for one of our potential employees to stay at whilst training. He had to move room mid stay due to an infestation of bed bugs.
We have tried to contact premier inn regarding this but are still waiting for a response.
- 608micheled (6/5): Okay, but could have been better. - This premier inn was ideally located for our travel purposes and the beds were extremely comfortable. On the downside however there was no air-conditioning which in this day and age there really should be as this made the room very warm and stuffy which was not conducive to a good nights sleep. Fixed shower heads are also a no no for us girls. Fix these two issues and it would have been a very comfortable stay.
- stevem208 (8/5): Saved by the team - Rooms are fine but a bit tired. Shower was a bit weaker than we;d like. But the staff were friendly, welcoming and sorted things promptly.
- P4392AZlisad (6/5): Nice hotel but no air con ! - room was clean and comfortable but do not go if it is going to be hot as no aircon and rooms where so hot. Also guttering outside of room 10 is gone so thunderous rain on the path outside didnt make a good nights sleep.
- K7434CSandred (8/5): Overpriced for What It Is - 3-star review:
Decent enough stay for one night, but definitely overpriced at £147?for a standard double on a rainy Saturday in Glasgow. I didn’t shop around before booking, but after I did, I saw Radisson Blu was only £180 and looked miles better. This place feels more like an £80 hotel.
Room was a good size and mostly clean. But the bathroom fan got really loud after a few minutes, constantly changing tone like a dodgy old jeep — pretty annoying. Shower head was leaking water upwards somehow, spraying over the curtain rail and hitting the bathroom door and wall. By the end, the floor was soaked like a mini swimming pool. Ended up using all the towels and bath mat to dry it.
Not a holiday trip or anything, just a short city visit — but next time I’d probably go elsewhere for the price.
- JohnK363 (10/5): Pleasant stay - Pleasant comfortable bed in airy room. The pillows could be improved to match quality of mattress.
Very pleasant staff.
However, we arrived 1 hour early and would have had to pay £15.00 to get into room then.
We waited.
Couldn't really fault it in any other way
- J8342ZGjays (10/5): A night away - Checked in just after 3pm and the man on reception gave us exemplary service. Went to room 119 on the first floor and ot was spotless. Had dinner at the local pub restaurant. Had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time as did my husband. It was perfect. The breakfast room was rather small but was fine. Cooked to perfection 👌 and staff again were exemplary. Thanks for a wonderful experience with yourselves, will definitely be booking again.
- darrenhG3014YY (6/5): Good but needs improvement - The service was good from check in too check out breakfast was good but room for breakfast was far too small there was mould all over the bathroom ceiling and paint was coming off the walls in the bedroom was definitely not worth the £150 a night
- 708mercyz (10/5): Excellent service - Excellent service thanks to the staff on duty. The bed was so comfy, extra duvets and our bedroom was spacious. The dining room was tiny but very neat and had staff serving breakfast and it was nice. Nice food well cooked and presentable. Receptionist are always there to welcome you.
- downhillcyclist (10/5): Comfortable Convenient Hotel - We stayed at the Bearsden Premier Inn before starting the West Highland Way. It's a lovely hotel, very comfortable. We had a spacious room with ensuite including a bath. Good self service breakfast. The Burnbrae Pub & Restaurant next door is very good for dinner. It's an easy walk, less than a mile, to the start of the West Highland Way (passing several shops to buy your sandwiches). Early check in cost £15. Our bags had to be ready for 8.00am for onward transfer (only if you're doing the West Highland Way)
- brianf1872 (10/5): Great hotel - Lovely room with a really comfy bed. Slight drawback was, I had paid for early check-in and when I got there the receptionist said “oh I’m not sure your room is ready yet!!!!”
Not the staff’s fault as it was clearly understaffed, so much so the receptionist was having to run up & down the stairs as she was cleaning the rooms too.
- ryanw946 (6/5): Shame about the damp and mould - One night stay mid week. Check in was quick and staff very friendly. There are issues with damp and black mould in this hotel however. First room at back of hotel had black mould on window wall. Reported to reception and was quickly moved to another room at front of hotel. Same thing in the new room, black mould on window exterior wall. Then moved to a 3rd room at front of hotel which seemed newly refurbished and was fine.
Receptionist was apologetic and said that the building is not owned by premier inn and so they are unable to do the work required to remedy the damp and mould issues and that the cleaners have been instructed to wipe it off if they see it. She also said they paint over it.
It’s a shame because it is otherwise a great place to stay in a good convenient location. If it wasn’t for the damp and mould I would definitely stay again .
- lesr515 (10/5): Staff members with customers - Paris and morwenna have exceptional front of house skills that are second to none.
I stay in many premier inns across the uk and
These girls gave it the homely feel that I miss
When I have to stay away from my family.
They really are a credit to your group
- DebbieR750 (10/5): Outstanding Premier Inn in Bearsden - Excellent Premier Inn at Bearsden. Great location for our trip as visiting our son. Staff so professional, friendly, warm and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean, bright and airy. Our room was also spotless and had everything you needed. Nice coffee tea sugar milk tray, which you could replenish in reception, hairdryer, shower and hand gel, extra pillows, lots of plugs and lights - great bright light and mirror in bedroom to do your make-up, even a bottle opener. Shower very powerful and bed so comfortable. We had breakfast as well and great choice from the buffet of fruit, cereal, tea, coffee, juices, pastries and the chef cooks a lovely fresh and plentiful breakfast to your requirements. Plenty of parking. Overall would definitely recommend this Premier Inn.
