Guest Reviews
- lucysB4412OH (10/5): Great stay - Great experience, wonderful staff especially Monike who went above and beyond to make our trip extra special she remembered it was my birthday and popped goodies in our room. Such a great stay.
- Gmiller196 (4/5): So understaffed it’s becoming embarrassing!! - Beverley Premier Inn is one of my favourites.
Nice hotel, great location and the staff are always lovely.
But……………
Recently it has become the norm for only person to be on duty in the evenings. They have to check people in, take food and drink orders, pour the drinks, deliver the food and drinks to the tables, take payment for the meals, clean the tables etc
On top of that, the restaurant is constantly running out of food. Last week they had no chips so I had to have hash browns with my gammon, then they had no chicken, then no fish, then no cider, then no decaf coffee.
Not sure what has happened recently, but the management needs to sort it out.
- georgegK9503HJ (10/5): Welcoming - Just stayed at the premier inn on hagley road in birmingham.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff.
The room was clean and well kept. Worth the money.
- victormY7193MX (10/5): Premier Plus Rooms - My wife and I had the opportunity to get a Premier Plus Room, the additional comfort was worth the cost. The walk in shower is welcoming and relaxing. The room furniture and bed offer all the comfort you could ever need from a hotel room. We highly recommend Premier Plus rooms as they are well worth the additional cost.
- abbycB101XV (10/5): Excellent service, food and restaurant - Lovely meal in the hotel restaurant tonight. Served by Jazz where she greeted us with a smile and was continually checking on how everything was. She seemed to be the only one taking orders and serving food, but this didn't let her excellent level of service slip.
Restaurant was lovely and cosy and Jazz let us know about the menu deals where we could have 2 courses and a drink for £16.99. Great value, great food and friendly staff. The chef did a great job keeping up with food orders too. Thank you 😊
- ukundercover (10/5): Great stay in North Devon - We’ll locate Premier Inn on the outskirts of Bideford. I stayed in a Premier Plus room for 2 nights which was probably the nicest room I have stayed in across premier inn sites.
Friendly team and good breakfast next door at Brewers Fayre. The price was very good, but it was November so low season for Devon.
Parking is free need to register your car. There’s also a Starbucks and McDonald’s nearby. I think the Plus rooms are worth the extra for the a nicer stay at the right price
- Passenger676992 (2/5): Decent enough PI, but don't book the Meal Deal. - I had booked the Meal Deal online hours before arrival and arrived at dinner time (approx 7.30pm). Lady at reception told me I just needed to give my name and room number in bar/restaurant to order dinner. Girl at bar refused to serve me without proof of meal deal in the form of a printed receipt from reception. Went back to reception where lady said she would inform restaurant herself that I was indeed on the Meal Deal. Returned to restaurant, sat waiting for the while and tried ordering again. Girl at bar still refused to serve me without receipt. Returned to reception for third time and lady there actually came with me to ensure I was finally served. About forty-five minutes spent repeatedly queuing and going back and forth between reception and restaurant. Obviously no communication between staff, or proper procedure for checking if a guest is on meal deal. Also very unreasonable and unprofessional to send guest back and forth instead of staff properly sorting their own issue themselves.
Hotel itself is fine and comfy, but I would advise against booking the Meal Deal for obvious reasons.
- samstring2018 (10/5): Good experience - Good service clean room and good breakfast.
Selina was helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. All staff encountered were friendly and helpful would defiantly stay again.
- Riverandstream (10/5): Very comfortable stay - My partner and I had a very comfortable 2 night stay here in a Premier Plus accessible room. Lovely comfy king-size bed and super-comfy pillows, spacious bedroom and bathroom, perfectly adequate clothes storage, plenty of choice of lighting including an optional and very useful purple light in the bathroom which acted as a night-light for us, table and chairs, fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, very efficient shower in the wet-room. Everything was very clean and of good quality.
Brewer's Fayre Restaurant a minute's walk across the large carpark.
We will definitely return.
- sharonkX1273EJ (2/5): Family party - Bedroom was big but the bedside table was very dirty and sticky .
Bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat broken. Dirty wet towels left in bathroom behind the door.
- hayleyo2024 (4/5): Don't waste your money - We have stayed in many Premier inn all over the place for weekend away and airport stops
But this hotel was not great !!!! The room was fine put we did not know the bar / restaurant did not open till 5pm we would of liked a drink then we booked in instead of going over to tesco over the road . Breakfast was not great we waited 10 mins for anyone to seat us and We did not find breakfast that special overall we found the hotel short staffed and not that welcoming we will not book this hotel again
- Tourist44981587314 (2/5): Very Poor - Room not ready on arrival, so given smaller room, staff arguing in front of us, Meal deal not arranged properly with Brewers Fayre, Wont be staying there again
- paulwaudb (8/5): One Night's Stay - Really nice new Hotel with great facilities. Problem was that you rarely saw a member of staff so couldn't ask any questions. We ate away from the hotel so can't comment about the food. Generally a good stay at a good hotel. Really good night's sleep, room was clean and welcoming. Would recommend
- PhilG537 (6/5): Great location and welcome…. But - Great location and friendly welcome, but awful smell on floor two - which permeated into bedroom.
Meal was very poor - crispy prawns (in starter and main course of sweet and sour prawns) tasted like they had been cooked in stale oil
- LouM313 (8/5): Great family stay - We stayed for 3 days for a wedding. Location is ideal for surrounding areas. Retail Park next door was great: Starbucks, Domino's, McDonalds, Aldi, Asda all within walking distance.
Rooms are what you expect. Amazingly comfy beds. Hotel was peaceful. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Negative: NO Electic car charging points. Really disappointing. Closest one was a 20min walk away. Only 1 charger at the local independent petrol station. My husband drove the car there, and walked back while it charged. Then walked back again to collect once full. We knew this before we went, but very few car charging points in the area so chose Premier Inn based on cost factor.
- kathrynsB4988BH (10/5): Great stay - Great hotel location, very quiet. Clean, tidy rooms as expected and easy check in and check out experience. Breakfast was well organised considering they were full.
- jodigP2241EX (10/5): Great Premier Inn - I have stayed at this hotel several times and there is a reason I keep coming back. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The free parking is a huge bonus. The rooms are always clean and of a good standard - the recent refurbishment has been a great addition. The hotel is always quiet, despite the location. Thank you as always for a wonderful stay.
- kieran137 (4/5): Wouldn't stay again. - Cooked breakfast wasnt very good. Evening meal is only served between 1700 and 2030 but I couldn't see this advertised. We were at the bar for at least 5 minutes waiting to order before someone appeared. Someone finally arrived at 2033 to tell us we were 3 minutes late to order any food!! The highlight of our weekend there was Alan working the bar on the friday night.
- natashasE4825CK (10/5): The amazing receptionist Janet - Since we checked in Janet has been absolutely amazing made us feel welcome on arrival and through out our stay she bought my husband a birthday cake and a bottle of Prosecco she is a credit too the company thank you again Janet 🙂 xx
- 23JamesI0262 (2/5): Terrible Experience. - I was told that the hotel was full and therefore I was put into an accessible room. The bed was nearly on the floor and was much shorter than a standard bed. No phone signal whatsoever. Room was very cold. The so called restaurant was serving a “limited” menu, because of, they said, staff shortages. There seemed to be enough staff in the restaurant as there was a group of three of them standing chatting and laughing. All in all a terrible experience.
- I5472WMgrahamc (10/5): Visited - Excellent service from Alison Melanie and Jo, made very welcome and lovely delicious food and drink.
Thoroughly recommend a visit.

- heatheroZ8402QB (10/5): Bideford offers alot. - On the whole the first impression of the hotel is very good: built in some form of brick, then an extension which is showing its age and would benefit from painting.
Inside the atmosphere is very good, and reception very efficient: especially Janet who is very welcoming.
The hotel appears very clean, an excellent job by the cleaners. Largely unseen but a very important part of the team.
Noise is very good, in the sense that there is very little.
Location is excellent, very close to food outlets and a supermarket; and is across the road from the shopping outlet.
- 273helenaw (6/5): Disappointed with lack of face to face reception - The hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable. The lack of a staffed reception and on screen check in was disappointing. Although a helpful young lady appeared to assist me.
I asked her if she could book me a taxi but was told this was against hotel policy.
- grahamcu (2/5): Bideford Premier Inn expensive disappointment. - Location was good. After booking and paying was then told building works in progress with limited parking, luckily we got a parking spot on arrival. Booked a Premier Plus room and even though it was clean we didn't want and require a disabled room. Due to being a timber frame construction very little sleep was experienced due to noise from the room above. Only one set of towels in room, limited meal times that didn't suit, builders dust and footprints along some corridors. Meals were expensive and poor quality for what you get and certainly not worth the money. I had a runny chicken curry with about four pieces of chicken, and came with chips and not rice would have been nice to have had the option and poppadom or Naan bread would have been good. Drinks options on meal deal not worth having and to restrictive.
Overall a very disappointing experience costing towards £200 which for the quality of what we received is disgusting.
- Connector812951 (4/5): Not good enough - Floor was dirty, dust and debris was present. No fridge. The WiFi was very slow. No smart TV. Bed wasn't made during room service.
- Roving778095 (10/5): Pub crawl in Beverley - Great stay,good comfy beds.
Beverley is a great pub over road is quite strange and didn't have any beer, rest of the stay was grand.
- FGoesToHinchleyWood (6/5): A shower straight out of 'Psycho' - You expect a certain standard from a Premier Inn and this one wasn't too bad, but lacking someone looking at the details. The soap dispenser in the bathroom is at eye level and the top was rusty. The a/c fan made a clonking noise like a car running on one punctured tyre, the 'legendary' pillows were ordinary pillows but it was the shower that was most jarring, it yowled the moment you switched it on. That might be fine but we arrived at midnight and felt we were waking up the whole hotel as it screamed out water. And apparently you have to ask if you want them to make up the room for the next day.
Staff were very helpful and it hasn't put us off going to another Premier Inn, it just needs someone to check rooms thoroughly.
- Dreamer47618667279 (10/5): highly recommend!! - excellent stay! coming into the carpark was a bit worrisome but once in the building everything is as it should be.
all the staff are super friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist emma who went out of her way to make our stay super comfortable!
i always have the best stays at premier inns but this one went above and beyond
- Yorkie017 (8/5): Standard Premier inn. - Good Location . Staff are really friendly. Breakfast is good. We did have an issue as the showerhead had a jet which went from the back of the rose and onto the towel rail. We stayed over a weekend Friday to Mon so there was no maintenance available. We had to move the towel to prevent it getting wet. Beds are comfortable. They did give us two keys but only one at a time worked.
- AlanTB_UK (4/5): Hotel OK but not with building and restricted parking - Building work underway means less parking...and mess, and because of the number of new homes also being built next door it is full of tradesmen and their oversized vans meaning parking is even worse. I stayed here to go to a funeral and at the time of trying to depart for teh funeral the car park was rammed with delivery lorries trying to unload building materials. I could only get my car out through the help of other guests moving their cars...awful. The Brewers Fayre across the way were complaining that their customers couldn't park as well. Navigating the corridors with plastering and painting underway was not great!
- S4997TBrayh (8/5): Good - When arrived room not ready due to staff mixup but the lovely Janet on the desk sorted it .all the staff very helpful breakfast good apart from cold plates again staff in restaurant where all helpful .
- Mark_Bath_UK (8/5): Well situated hotel for exploring Beverley - Ideally situated for a visit to Beverley Minister and a fifteen minute walk from the Saturday market, we found this Premier Inn to be friendly and clean. The room was larger than Premier Inn rooms are normally - not sure why as it wasn't an Ultimate room.
We ate in the restaurant one evening and found the food to be enjoyable. Overall, a good place to stay in Beverley.
- stevehA7574CX (10/5): Best Premier Inn so far - A lovely welcome from Natalie and the team - chocolate as a welcome - over and above . Our accessibility needs sorted, thank you. Hotel parking easy and close to Beverley town
- Hayelord (8/5): Very good (despite messy surrounding buildings!) - Very good once inside (outside is a bit grubby with some vacant property nearby)
Everything clean and tidy (as per usual with Premier Inn)
Lady serving tables at breakfast super friendly and helpful - great to start the day with someone like that.
- Yogitheelder (10/5): A good stopover. - The lodge was perfect for us to tour North Devon and located just off the A39. It was comfortable and located with a restaurant and other feeding outlets within walking distance. The lodge was quiet, comfortable and perfect for our needs.
- popstar1701 (8/5): Overall a nice place to stay - Location is great and the room although not as updated as some other Premiers, is more than adequate.
I did get stung in the restaurant when happy hour wasn’t as it seemed, but overall the stay was good
- Locksmith59 (10/5): Premier Inn Bideford ... Atlantic Way - We stayed 3 nights at Premier Inn Bideford once again while visiting RHS Rosemoor in Torrington.
It is undergoing Room Upgrades so was very busy during the day with Workmen (This didn't really affect us though)
The new Rooms are excellent ... ours one that had only been occupied for 7 nights previously.
As usual a warm welcome (our 3rd time at this hotel) with a very quick check-in. We were asked to report any problems with our room as it was so newly refurbed. Pleased to say no problems at all.
The carpark very busy but no problem getting a space (and no parking charge (Bonus 👍😉👍)
Thank you Premier Inn Bideford
5☆☆☆☆☆ 👍
- sandrasB9805YI (10/5): Great Stay - My room and bathroom were immaculate and the team members I saw were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly stay there again in the future.
- babslewis1955 (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay, good if you can a deal as can be a bit over priced (£119 for a Wednesday night) but could be better if booked well in advance. Affinity shopping centre is walking distance, Bideford town about a 30 minute walk or five minute drive
- TONYVOLLER (4/5): Business stay - It’s quite an experience because you have to go through an old disused TGI Friday car park which is screwed with rubbish junk etc !!
Also quite dark
The room are acceptable clean and tidy
I did mention to reception on three occasions that the lift to the floors was absolutely filthy
They couldn’t care less
For that reason we didn’t eat in the
Restaurant
Just makes you think of the hygiene standards behind the scenes
- patrickdQ6061UA (8/5): Very good clean. Staff friendly - Water was warm to cold.
When I had my morning shower.
Breakfast was good.
Coffee machine. Was fix quickly
I think one more staff at breakfast for the rush.
- robertgU9221WE (8/5): Great staff, but not the best Premier Inn we've used. - Overall not quite as good as other Premier Inns we've used. Staff were good, friendly, helpful, but some miggles with the room and breakfast.
We do like to be able to have fresh air on demand, so the sealed window was unwelcome. The bathroom fan didn't work reliably and needs attention.
The restaurant was a bit on the chilly side.
The toaster took a LONG time to toast bread... enough time to get a coffee, get cooked food, and drink the coffee.
I had to request scrambled eggs, and they were very granular - my daughter described them as "like popcorn". Bacon was quite dry and chewy, yet somehow with stringy fat. The rest was as expected though.
Disappointing breakfast compared to other Premier Inns.
- maffski (2/5): Very poor. - Location is good. The room was very dirty lots of dust on surfaces and there were several hairs on the bed. I had the meal plan the cooked breakfast was poor the poached eggs came out fried and over done and the hash browns were like greasy mush. Evening meal was a handful of greasy fries and mushy fish, it was the type you get frozen in a box. All staff I encountered were very polite and friendly.
- karencX958TS (10/5): Staff went the extra mile for our wedding anniversary - Natalie was brilliant and organised wine, ciders and chocolates in the room prior to our arrival. It was a surprise for my husband for our first wedding anniversary. She even left us a card and party poppers. The staff are all so friendly, the service, food and drinks were all lovely. Thank you.
- mohamedsF7771KA (10/5): Had. Brilliant stay - Had a great time staying at Hagley Road Premier Inn for 1 night on 24 August 2025 . The Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The second floor room we were allocated looked brand new . It was very spacious. There was only 1 bath towel in the bathroom but the Receptionist gave us an extra 2 towels when we asked for another towel . No complaints whatsoever.
- G8972KTadamc (10/5): Went out of there way for a special day - Came for our 1 year wedding anniversary and Natalie and her team did a great job making us feel special and doing anything they could to help us have a great time which we did. Thanks again from the both of us
- Cruiser38732971563 (8/5): Always good - Staff members are always helpful. We have stayed here 4 times and never had issue. We are going to be back. Breakfast is good, wide selection.
- Curiosity599791 (10/5): Enjoyable stay at this hotel - Stayed here last night with my partner. Easy to book and check in. Rooms were clean and beds most comfortable, so much so we are looking at getting one of the beds they sell. Booked the breakfast also which was delicious. Would definetly stay again.
- Vinoth0307 (4/5): Not so great experience. - The Room size , cleanliness , restaurant staff and the breakfast are all of top quality. My family really enjoyed it.
But we are really disappointed with the reception staff and the check-in process which spoiled the whole experience. Firstly, the staff checked us into a wrong room. I carried all the luggage and my infant to the room only to find that it was already occupied. The staff has no idea when I got back to her and was waiting in the reception for good 30 minutes. She sorted it and gave key for a different room which she could have done without making us wait. By this time, my infant got upset and started crying. Worst part, is the staff warned us about the noise complaint due to my infant cry. I was really upset that all this could have been avoided if she had done her job correctly instead of blaming my baby. Really disappointed with the her behaviour and attitude towards my family.
- LongfellowUk (8/5): Clean and quiet - Nice clean and quiet hotel and very handy for restaurant next door.
Very helpful manager and simple booking in process.
- paulbY7442QY (10/5): Solo trip to visit friends - Very well located, clean, comfortable Hotel with great team of people working there. Easy online booking experience, easy key collection and extremely easy departing.
- W5351EZkarent (6/5): Amazing welcome, by the one team member that was there. - When we checked in we were met by a lovely young lady by the name if Jas, she was bright happy & smiling. Little mix up with room key but quickly sorted. Room was lovely and clean as was the bathroom. We had the meal deal booked for evening and breakfast, the choice of menu was very poor curry, spag bol, fish and chips or pizza with puddings being ice cream, brownie or fruit salad. Very poor value. The bar was run by happy Jas as was the kitchen, she cooked our meal she was then seen to be making beds!!!, apart from a young man who didn't seem to know what to do, she was the only staff member in the building!!! Not at all safe. Not very happy with the way this premier inn was run. Jas was amazing always smiling and doing her best.
- garyt990 (10/5): Two great Beverley Nights - Excellent stay at Beverley Premier Inn. Just a pleasant five minute walk into town with handy car park next door. Staff friendly, professional and attentive and room clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice.
- BhupinderChane (10/5): Clean and Friendly, but AC Let Us Down - The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and well-presented. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working during our stay, which was disappointing as it was a key reason for choosing this hotel. As a result, the room temperature was quite uncomfortable. We hope this issue is addressed soon, as the hotel has great potential otherwise.
- loubiel2025 (2/5): Disgusting - Never in my life will I stay at this hotel again! Staff are rude and don’t care that you need to be served they just stand there talking. The breakfast is vile I had the full English but didn’t end up eating any of it it wasn’t very nice I did mention it too the member of staff but they wasn’t interested and wouldn’t give me a refund. Also we ended up leavening the hotel early due to noise and the room wasn’t clean there was cereal under the bed , bath was mucky, bed sheets had stains on them. When I left the hotel I got back home to find out my house keys weren’t in my bag so I travelled back too the hotel to check the room to find my photos outta my bag thrown on the floor but no keys. It seems to me that someone was in my room . Crossiants was warmed up in the microwave.I will be making a formal complaint to premier inn.
- juliehS9726JR (10/5): Beverley weekend visit - A Wonderful stay,we was catered for exceptionally well from before we arrived, best tip is to ring ahead with any queries or needs and speak to them personally, I did and they went above and beyond,
Room perfect a little dust in places but nothing to complain about, all the staff are helpful very friendly and jolly from meet and greeting to dining staff, have you ever stayed somewhere we you could be left to your own devices but looked after impeccably at the same time,
Beverley its self is a beautiful place to stay, I was visiting my son and his partner as they live and work there now, yes Beverley you are extremely lucky to have them as I miss them enormously but I do get to come to your very welcoming town and enjoy what you offer
- Z7127TRnicolac (10/5): Pleasant trip - Clean and comfortable stay. Staff were efficient, professional and friendly. Good value for money and the food in the restaurant was good.
- Andy0166 (2/5): Car parking is not free - Went to visit my Daughter and Granddaughter and drove down for the weekend. No signage about car parking charges in the car park and I have never had any parking issues in the past when I stayed here to see family. However two weeks after staying at the premier inn bideford paying exorbitant summer holiday rates I just received two parking charges bills totalling £120 (£60 per day of my stay), do not make this mistake and read any parking signs in the car park very carefully. Complete rip off.
- milliel644 (2/5): A hostel NOT hotel - We had 4 rooms and several things went wrong during our 4-5 day stay.
Room 15 - no air conditioning, the room was boiling. We asked them to fix it, no feedback. When we went to desk they told us it was fixed but still, no air was coming out. Eventually a fan was offered for a room where the windows cannot be opened.
Room 19 - the hair dryer was broken, it only blew old air. I asked them for a change but they never came.
Room 42 - the bathroom door lock was broken. We reported it but after 5 days nothing was done. They didn’t even give us an update.
None of our rooms was ever cleaned during the Tuesday - Monday (5 day) stay. Apparently there’s a tag on the door and you need to hand it to the reception to request for a clean. No one explained this to us when we checked in. We checked in at different times, but this information was continently forgotten every single time??!!!
- Shyrob62 (4/5): A mixed experience - Friendly and efficient service with good food. However, our room, 319, had hair in the shower, faecal spots in the toilet, drink stains on surfaces, and a smelling carpet which smelt worse as the temperature increased.
