Guest Reviews
- 507epiphanya (10/5): Excellent - I had a wonderful experience. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was fresh! (Non of that buffet business)
I want to give a special shout out to JACK! Honestly what a lovely man! Helped me throughout my stay, managed to help me with a late checkout and made my grumpy kid smile all morning
I will be staying her every time I come to Coventry
- Zinajer (10/5): Excellent! - The staff were incredibly friendly and professional throughout our stay.
Everything was wonderfully clean and tidy, creating a really welcoming atmosphere.
A special mention goes to Alfie, the best chef! We absolutely loved every dish he prepared; his food truly made our stay memorable.
Sophie was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with a smile.
Natalie was very professional and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.
Emma was also wonderfully helpful and attentive.
We would definitely recommend this hotel branch to others. It’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for.
Free parking.
- Sie99 (4/5): Poor experience - We use premier inn on many occasions but we are extremely unhappy with our recent stay. The alarm on the air con unit kept going off. We reported it to reception and they said it was because we had used deodorant in the room and it would go off shortly. Well it never and reception had turn the unit off at the trip switch box. The room was then extremely hot all night. We reported it again and were told to open the window. Also the room hadn’t been cleaned sufficiently as there were peanuts and a battery under the bed, which we have a photo of. Very bad customer service and we are unlikely to stay again.
- annerK9399DL (10/5): Kindness - Following our car breakdown, Natalie the receptionist invited us into this Premier Inn and provided coffee and cakes and a wonderfully kind welcome. At a very stressful time for the family, Natalie represented Premier Inns in the best possible way. She told us how much she loved her job, Premier Inns, you have an employee to be proud of.
- T6887BDsame (8/5): Great parking, lovely breakfast. - Lovely staff, very helpful. Nice clean room we ate evening meal in town but had breakfast at the Premier Inn. Full English cooked fresh to order by Alfie and it was amazing. Sophie and Natalie front off house and in restaurant were again very nice and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.
- F6068ROjoannef (10/5): Comfortable room, good facilities, clean, great staff and nice food cooked to order - Great, Jack, Sami and Norma were fantastic. Thank you all. We had a very enjoyable stay, it was a business trip and made all the more comfortable by the good service and friendly welcome we received.
- chloeaO3706PA (6/5): Average Stay - We (2 adults & 2 children) stayed for one night whilst visiting family.
We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who checked us in promptly.
Our room was located on the ground floor as requested - the room itself was very basic and felt quite outdated compared to other Premier Inn Hotels we have stayed in. The bathroom definitely needed a freshen up but was okay for what we needed.
We went to the restaurant on site (across the road) for dinner in the evening, again the staff member was great. Sadly we were let down by the food, particularly the children's menu - they chose Chicken Bites, chips and Mini Corn. The chicken was very dry and overcooked, meaning the children didn't eat very much at all.
Overall, it was a basic base for the one night we needed, but the hotel could definitely do with a freshen up.
- yvonnebD9324LN (2/5): Appalling service - Awful service, room ok, but the guys on reception were not at all helpful and as for the restaurant, worst I have ever been to. Same guys we're serving and they really did training in hospitality.
Ok if you need a basic room but avoid the restaurant at all costs!
- U6745KSadamt (2/5): Marred by lack of breakfast availability - Comfortable rooms, convenient location. Could be perfect. EXCEPT extremely limited breakfast availability: small breakfast room + massive hotel = very few times available to book at checkin, none which we could do. Way worse than other Premier Inns, and lots of guests were affected (one after the other at check in) this weekend. So pre-paying our breakfast was basically pointless. We took the refund and managed to eat elsewhere. But breakfast is part of the point of a premier in stay, so we really didn't get what we were sold, or what we booked.
- mdelvis (10/5): Perfect 👌 10 out of 10 - Lucy was amazing she even made our bed up for us as we were a walk in customer then she served us food at the restaurant also the man that was working was great too
- John_bNottingham (10/5): one night stay with breakfast - ample parking, easy check in, comfortable bed,
particular mention for alfie - who cooked a perfect breakfast to order, no delay
natalie and sophie - very friendly and most professional during the whole visit.
also, whoever was on reception during the evening, assisted when we experienced noise from the room next door, this was dealt with quickly and satisfactorily without fuss.
- GlennA946 (8/5): One of the better hotels I've stayed in - Very pleased with the Crewe Central Premier Inn, my room was spotless, large and had a television with the choice of 70 channels. Bathroom was large and you had the choice of taking a bath or using a shower. Man on reception was very friendly and the hotel seems to have got into the Halloween spirit with plenty of Halloween decorations.
Also good, as some hotel restaurants can be poor, was The Brocklebank, the pub restaurant over the road from the Premier Inn. Most meals can be bought for under £15 and while not the most memorable, the portions were decent and the meals we had were well cooked. Also the breakfast that's included in the price gives you the option of a self service continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast, where you select what you want from a list and is served by a waitress. Again this was of a decent standard.
Only issue I had with the Premier Inn was the heating was slow to come on and took half an hour to warm up my room, which isn't very good when the weather is turning cold. Otherwise it's four stars from me.
- Trojan_201769 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Excellent customer service, support and care, rooms and breakfast were great. GREAT experience and restaurant was too notch...
- 131zillah (6/5): Average hotel - Functional hotel ok for a short stay. Bathroom required updating, unfortunately no chef available to provide hot breakfast. Staff very helpful even in difficult situations.
- karenjT8406UQ (10/5): Great breakfast with friendly service - I didn’t stay at the hotel but it is in a good location for the station. I called in for breakfast at the Brocklebank. Was greeted by lovely staff and wonderful service from Tracey, she couldn’t do enough for you and all with a genuine smile. The breakfast was fresh, cooked to order on a Saturday morning. It was hot and all very nice. Would certainly come back here.
- sharonrY7706MX (10/5): Fab staff - Massive shout out to Jack, who was absolutely brilliant with my young son on our trip. He was really kind and made him feel at ease. Outstanding customer service! Thanks Jack!
- SenoraBina (10/5): Great place - My husband I enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn Coventry City Centre, Belgrade Plaza. We had a huge room, which was very well maintained and staff were omnipresent and helpful. Initially, we were put off by having to pre-book our breakfast time-slot, but it was actually fine and staff were very friendly. The room was clean, but the carpets on the bedroom floors had not seen a hoover for a while...apart from that it was all great.
- denise956 (4/5): Not good. - We have stayed here numerous times and this was such a let down. First thing was the gent on reception was not as welcoming as we are used to there. We then went to our room to find 2 bags of dirty bed linen just inside the door. We told the gent who said sorry I will get it removed but was dismissive really. We came back late after having a drink and unpacked to find the toilet had a really bad flush which had no.power. it was tge same with the spray type tap in the sink and the plug didn't work atall. The whole place really needs updating and refitting. The shower was really grubby looking and old
We had 2 sachets of coffee and 2 pots of milk for 2 days. The second night I dropped a lid under the bed and I can say its not been moved or cleaned under there in god knows how long. Needless to say we will not be returning any time soon.
- Q2474APmartinw (8/5): Hotel staff very helpful - We stayed as part of large group of people attending a memorial service at Coventry cathedral at the end of September 2025. Hotel staff Anna, Lily and India were amazing during our stay. They kindly looked after all of our luggage whilst we attend the service along with many others who also attended the event and were staying at the hotel. They were very busy when we all returned to the hotel fetching our luggage. Well done to them all.
- lesleywA4997KI (10/5): The absolute best! - A big shout out to Rene who greeted us on Saturday 27th September! He was so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had an early check-in and the room wasn't quite ready but Rene wasn't phased at all. Even though they were short staffed at the time he did absolutely everything for us with a smile and at speed. He even took my cases to the room. He showed me where everything was and that, if I needed anything, I only had to shout! Also, I think its worth mentioning there were a couple of chambermaids on and they were also very friendly and very helpful. This is one of the nicest Premiers in terms of service I've ever stayed at and we always use Premier wherever we can. Thanks so much Rene and the team 💙
- 956bevw (8/5): Nice Hotel. - Overall the hotel is nice. It’s very clean and the staff are nice and friendly. We stayed here two nights with no problems or complaints whatsoever. However the restaurant attached its terrible we were highly disappointed with the breakfast we never ate there again. It lets the hotel down.
- garydA185XY (10/5): Great stay - Really clean easy to park nice restaurant close breakfast really nice reception and breakfast staff really nice helpful and pleasant great stay enjoyed it would recommend to anyone that needs a close stay to the university
- kendysk (10/5): Friendly staff and great rooms! - We walked in and were greeted warmly by a lovely member of staff! We were able to get a room for the night and it was very sizable, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotless. I enjoyed my one night stay and checking out was so simple, a staff member made small talk with me and made sure everything was okay with my stay. Very friendly and I would definitely stay again!
- R3544WDjonathans (10/5): Great staff! - We stayed at the Crewe Central Premier Inn in September 2025, as it was handy for a wedding we were attending in Cheshire. We had a fantastic stay, chiefly due to the staff, all of whom were wonderful. Lucy in the bar/restaurant was great, and René (I think?) on Reception was friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location is right next door to Crewe station.
- Dreamer26817135281 (6/5): Alright - It’s alright. Nothing special. All staff are pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant is dead. Again all staff are nice, it’s just always empty of people and food choices.
- jow834 (8/5): Belgrade Plaza Coventry - Warm welcome on arrival..... Jack and Jo-Ann extremely pleasant and check in was straight forward
Room was great, had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was satisfactory and in good time par with customer level.
- suzannej838 (8/5): A Pleasant First Stay At Premier Inn - Great place to stay with easy access to Warwick Castle. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. A good variety of food and drink at breakfast time. The cooked breakfast was a bit bland but everything else was lovely.
- J4556IAchloej (10/5): 5* Service - We visited this premier inn for our first wedding anniversary as Coventry was the halfway point for me and my husband to visit before we lived together. The lady on reception on arrival was lovely and engaging, asking us questions and just generally giving a nice relaxed atmosphere. In the morning we came for breakfast and she was serving us, even offering our breakfast for free on the morning of our anniversary. Everything was relaxed and quiet, just what we were after. The only thing I can think of improving is the rooms probably need a bit of a refresh as they are older than other premier inns we’ve stayed in. Would come back just for the service alone!
- Jarris76 (10/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and good restaurant for a reasonable price. - Fantastic hotel, friendly staff and brilliant location next to the trains station. I’ll be coming here more frequently in future.
- Y3220OHcarolc (10/5): Good standard hotel with friendly staff. - Great hotel at a low price on a Sunday night. Clean room with big comfy bed and even two chairs. Big shower in a clean ensuite with soft towels. Seemed a quiet location but near the centre. Quite tricky to find the railway station in Coventry for our journey home later.
- 996anyaw (10/5): Outstanding Service - Lovely hotel, yes, it’s an older style premier inn but the cleanliness and service is perfect!! Natalie, the duty manager was absolutely outstanding, so friendly and amazing with my whole family - Coventrys next Hotel Manager! Sophie was also really lovely on breakfast, all housekeepers spoke on the corridors and made our 2 night stay really good! Thank you for everything you do!
- barrypH1055NX (10/5): An excellent stay and breakfast - An excellent and very comfortable stay. We both had breakfast at the restaurant by the side of the hotel. It was delicious and served quickly. Matt who was on duty couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again
- Y8971RBjuliee (10/5): Jack Timms - We have been staying at the Premier every couple of months for 6 years and I have to say I wouldn't go anywhere else due to a particular member of staff Jack Timms. He has always made our stay so pleasant, he is polite, helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. He really needs some recognition. We will continue to stay there and look forward to seeing him.
- West155a (10/5): All in all, nice visit - Last minute plans but managed to get booked in. Friendly staff all round. Little out of way from town centre but not too far, easily accessible for train station. Pub was very quiet, but not being open to public, it's to be expected. Did mean got great service.
- Happiness826643 (10/5): Simple, clean, comfortable and great value. - Great location and excellent value for money. Comfortable room. Lovely staff. No problems or complaints at all. Thank you.
- Tomh1279k (10/5): 10 out 10 - Speedy check and help with luggage to my room. Evening meal was very nice. Typical pub grub so good value for money. Room was typical for prem inn but had AC which is always a plus.
- lennonj210 (10/5): Amazing stay, cheap rooms and air con - There was a few of us that stayed as it’s so close to the station and cheaper to stay here and catch a train into Liverpool.
The perks are the staff that I had the pleasure of interacting with and the much needed air con.
The rooms are what you’d expect for premier inn but I was told this site is due for a lot of changes next year, so we look forward to that and we will definitely come back.
- JFT96L (4/5): Mixed Bag - Stayed here recently with family for a night. First impressions were good – the ladies on the reception desk were all friendly, polite, and really helpful, which was much appreciated.
The room itself was a bit of a mixed bag. It felt dark and quite dated, but the bathroom was clean and the linen was fresh. Beds were comfy, and I especially liked the glass cups provided – clean and a nice touch. However, the kettle had definitely seen better days and could do with being replaced.
Unfortunately, the lights and electrics near the bed were faulty, which meant no bedside lighting and my phone didn’t charge overnight – frustrating. The carpets were in very poor condition, looking filthy and in need of urgent replacement.
The air conditioning was a saving grace – worked really well and was much needed during a warm night. However, I didn’t like that the windows on the ground floor didn’t open – it made me feel anxious thinking about emergency situations as we were in the middle of the hotel and emergency exits were to the sides.
Parking was available outside the hotel, though most spaces were taken by the time we arrived.
Breakfast the next morning was a real let-down. We were met by a chef with very poor customer service and a rude attitude. Allergy concerns were handled poorly – no fresh cutlery offered, and the allergy information book was practically thrown at me. The food itself was subpar – hot food was either undercooked or overdone, and the continental options were limited and underwhelming. Definitely not what I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn.
To be fair, the lady on the front desk did refund the cost of breakfast, which I appreciated. I was told a manager would follow up with a call, but unfortunately, I never received one which wasn’t the best as it made me feel as though my concerns weren’t taken seriously.
All in all, it was an okay night’s sleep, but the hotel falls well short of the usual Premier Inn standards I’m used to.
- 362keithf (10/5): Great place to stay - This is an older Premier Inn that maintains the high standard of cleanliness and excellent service associated with the brand. Staff are welcoming, friendly and very professional. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. There is ample car parking space. We will definitely be going back.
- Sammie-Jo69 (4/5): Worst sleep I've ever had - Firstly, it's not central Crewe - it's by the station, which is about a mile south of the centre. The hotel itself is tiny and has only maybe 20 or so rooms, staff are very helpful but there the good stuff ends. All twin rooms have the pull-out bed which is small and sits right below the window ledge so is bathed in light from sunrise onwards. My room also had an unusual issue with the air conditioning making episodic noises, and the trains were audible once it got to about five in the morning. I genuinely don't think I got two hours. Temperature of the water was also very variable - the same setting on the tap or shower would fluctuate from being too hot to have your hand under to then being so cold you had to turn it back up; this seemed to be worse outside of 'core' hours. Also the breakfast wasn't buffet for hot items which is always frustrating because of the time taken to cook them.
- alexpT208PO (10/5): 5 stars - The staff are so kind and welcoming. Room was big and beds so comfortable and the late check out just topped off a great stay. Would definitely recommend.
- 684rex (10/5): An excellent Premier Inn - I paid £250 for 5 nights and it was amazing, especially for the price. I have stayed at a few Premier Inns and this was the best by a lot and for less money. I really liked having a good quality coffee machine and a fridge. You can control all lights from the bedside which is really handy. All the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything. Thank you
- sabbahr (10/5): Great Stay - We had a great stay and great value for money. All the rooms were very large, spacious and clean. Bathrooms had cool purple lights which the kids loved! And staff member Jack made the experience go from Great to Exceptional. Very friendly and kind. We’ll definitely be back!
Only negative is there’s no parking. Maybe they should make a deal with the car park next door to get some discount.
- js1648 (2/5): Uncomfortable 2 nights and dangerous for food allergies - Spoke to the hotel and was told our rooms had air conditioning. After check in we found it was broken. Not happy as staff knew and didn't say a word. Not a comfortable 2 nights sleep as they promise. A member of the party has food allergies and the only food allergy information is in a large file that was dumped on the table and she was told she " must" read. Not a safe practise and contravenes Food Standard Agency guidelines too. Overall put a damper on what should have been a celebration weekend for a graduation
- Global63695472578 (10/5): Tracey saved the day - Highly recommended
Cause I'm a guy most of us can't do womans hair had to be right as it was for a wedding but Tracey from reception saved the day . She came and fixed my girlfriends hair . Tracey went above and beyond . Thank you Tracey . She said she is going to learn to do her hair for next time 🤞. We will be back
- E3141SGmariem (10/5): Visiting family - I have stayed at this Premier inn on a few occasions and have always had a lovely nights sleep. It was nice to have a window and not just a/c.
There is no lift. But as of yet it has bothered me.
- Guide67217040674 (10/5): Mike - what a legend - Spent some time here recently and although I couldn't switch off and enjoy all the facilities as much as my family, Mike on reception was fantastic. He went above and beyond to help a terrible time in my life that little bit easier. From checking if everything was ok to getting me a coffee he was a credit to the company.
Mike was extremely helpful throughout our stay and made sure no job was too big and he was happy to help - no coffee, here take these, more towels needed, here I will run these up to you, do you need anything? Sit down and use this quiet area to make your call rather than stand in the bad weather.
He didn't know what hell my family were going thru but he was determined to make sure our visit was great.
- Escape11189713855 (2/5): - The room we stayed in was extreamly stuffy and hot ( 6th floor). Asked for the room to be changed and we were offered another room on the 3rd floor. The same issue, insanely hot room. Very uncomfortable to stay in, never mind sleep. We were all very annoyed and frustrated. Do not stay if you expect an air conditioned room. I was told that the aircon is a recent issue but there are rewiews dated 2 weeks ago reporting on hot, stuffy rooms so unfortunately I was told a lie by the receptionist.
- robertjN4120PD (10/5): Vey comfortable and relaxing break - Stayed for 1 night in ground floor room. Room was clean, quiet and tidy with great shower. No air conditioning but room was cool. Breakfast was great and staff were very courteous. Will stay here again.
- Road50459527930 (10/5): Great Family Friendly Stay - We stayed as a family for a sports event nearby at the Arena, great location with a short walk in to the city centre. Team member Jack and his colleagues upbeat, happy and friendly attitudes made the stay so more enjoyable, a credit to the company. Many Thanks
- mjgman63 (8/5): Lovely staff, hotel a bit tired - Lovely staff as always at this hotel, but our room was upstairs this time (previously we've been on the ground floor) and it looked distinctly "tired". Indeed, the whole upstairs corridor was like that, and there was no key entry system on the door to the upstairs corridor, so anyone who wasn't a guest could have wandered up.
- KAW687 (6/5): Hot, stuffy room. - The hotel was reasonably priced, good position for city centre and the recommended NCP car park right next door and £20 for overnight parking. Downside was the temperature in the room the aircon was really noisy but didn't cool the room down at all and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work so it was very hot and stuffy all night. Also we were in room 401 right next to door from lift so had noise of people going in and out all night. The room looked like it had been newly refurbished so it's a pity the air con and extractor wasnt done at the same time. We didn't have breakfast as we were told we had to book it when we checked in and at that time were unsure of timings. Didn't find the staff especially welcoming.
- dianapaddy (10/5): Lovely visit but rooms need air-conditioning - Although the rooms are small and outdated without air-conditioning, the staff is absolutely lovely. The rooms are clean and the beds/bedding is lovely. I wanted to give a shout out to Emily, Monika and Sophie. All wonderful ladies. So helpful and kind. They went over and above.
- dawnlR1856SX (10/5): All great! - All great! Great location, staff were super friendly! Jack, who served at breakfast, was really helpful and friendly!
- simenaw (10/5): Definitely recommend - We stayed here in June and just want to say thank you to jack for a smooth and welcoming check in the room was amazing very spacious beautiful walk in shower also want to say a little thank you to Dora for her welcoming service at breakfast she was amazing will definitely be coming back 😀
- robertfH1492NH (10/5): Premier inn 45 Coventry - Always a great stay when we stay a the premier Inn on the 45 in Coventry a big well done to all the team. Breakfast was excellent cooked to perfection , loverly running poach eggs ,my wife said the scrambled egg was light and fuffy yet again credit to the chef
- Departure762655 (4/5): It should be a £30 room rate reflective of the facilities - Don't expect the usual.standard of premier inn. This is tired, mouldy and outdated for the hotel industry. Think of a cheap but overpriced accommodation and this is it. The staff are friendly and kind, and sympathetic to guests concerns. .
- dianebuckley2016 (8/5): Great breakfast. Room could have been better. - This is a small hotel and they don't offer meals other than breakfast. It is not a buffet style breakfast but is cooked to order. It was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable as you'd expect from premier inn. Our shower dripped constantly and leaked all over the bathroom floor. Also the heating didn't work.
- Vialetta (10/5): Comfortable and welcoming - Very comfortable and clean, with friendly and welcoming receptionist. The bed was as comfy as advertised and the soundproofing must be good as we were undisturbed all night. We didn’t bother with the WiFi as there was such good mobile broadband reception there. Handy location for the NAEC and for visiting Coventry.
- M457230 (4/5): Uncomfortable lack of privacy - Having recently been bereaved, I booked a room at this PI whilst I started to clear my father’s house. I paid £146 for a room - a large amount - but I hoped for cleanliness, basic comfort and a bit of peace.
I checked in at 4.30 and was directed to a family room. That was alright but then I noticed a flimsy partition door with a bolt separating me from next door.
Shortly after I was in there, I realised there was no soundproofing and I could hear everything my neighbours were doing and saying and vice versa. Fine for a big family but not for absolute strangers.
I felt totally self conscious when showering, using the facilities and making a cup of tea in the night as I was afraid I’d wake them up. At 4.30am, I fear I did.
I’ve paid to hire a room to feel comfortable in and get respite, not to be made to feel awkward and pay through the nose for it. As a previous customer said, it was none too warm either.
I like a PI and I generally have a very good stay. This time, I didn’t and felt exploited. Good sleep guarantee? Hardly if you’re essentially staying with strangers.
