Guest Reviews
- kierancJ7714ZO (10/5): Solo stay - Very affordable, staff friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and tidy couldn’t ask for more, also staff was at hand to advise on local things to do and roadworks happening in the area
- julievC1377IU (10/5): A relaxing stay - Great staff, friendly & helpful, rooms the usual standard (you generally know what you’ll get with a Premier Inn). Restaurant next door was decent food at a good price, friendly & efficient service. Parking seemed plentiful.
Would use this one again.
- craighR3153BN (4/5): Avoid Ground Floor Rooms - Check in quick and efficient, had to go back as room keys didn't work but all rectified.
Hotel a little tired looking and was the same on the room. However avoid staying on the ground floor, we were woken up at least 4 times during the night when the room above went to the loo or whatever they were doing stomping around in the middle of the night. Then again at 04:45 as they had a shower and generally stomped around packing I presume. Breakfast was good to be fair.
- A215IZdonnad (4/5): Noisy , drunks and police - So noisy with drunk people , then police arriving 2 am in the morning making arrests , lots of screaming etc , so very disturbed rest
- Meander63402484719 (10/5): Working stay at Camborne - Lovely place
Really nice staff especially John, Amber & Lizzie who was also extremely easy on the eye too
Will be back again
- Surfer0Steve (10/5): Amazing staff, amazing stay! - We stopped here as we're were attending a funeral, the staff were super friendly and brightened up our mood, with extensive knowledge of local restaurants and area, the rooms we're spotless, very comfortable. Meg, Elizabeth and Joy, thank you for your kindness and wonderful sense of humour and professionalism. I can't wait to return!
- M4006LRmikek (10/5): Very friendly and professional - Lizzie and Meg were amazing very welcoming and helpful highly recommend would definitely come back when booking another trip to Cornwall on a work trip
- J2525KRphilipe (8/5): Great reception, restaurant short staffed. - Reception friendly and welcoming. We should have warned of accessibility needs before travelling but didn't- but reception happily found us a closer room to reception on request. Staff in the restaurant seemed short staff and not that attentive, but the food was very good.
- rjwatkinsw (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Absolutely amazing stay, the whole family was here for a Christening and everyone loved it. Great rooms and such friendly helpful staff who really went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. Thank you so so very much!
- GrandTour10345162890 (4/5): Electricity cut, disgusting breakfast with limited choice - Room was too hot, A/C didnt work and was noisy, power cut during the night for hours so no electricity, Breakfast awful, cold and poor selection. Left review and complaint but no response
- D1531ZTmartinw (10/5): Reception staff - Amazing service from Lizzie and Meg tonight, as soon as we walked in you could see they were doing the job of 6 people, rushed off thier feet but handling it all cool, calm and professionally, a credit to any employer, Fantastic job ladies
- brettwalesw (10/5): Good hotel. Friendly team. - Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, room clean and area was quiet. Handy for RMAS. Would recommend to book.
- R9476JLkevinm (10/5): Great staff members - "Absolutely fantastic experience! Poppy and Louise were amazing - super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. When an issue arose, they sprang into action and sorted it out in no time. The ladies at the front of house were delightful to deal with - so helpful and friendly. We felt truly looked after and can't wait to stay again! Great people make great staff 👏👏👏
- paulsR8647JU (10/5): Friendly and welcoming staff - The receptionists Elizabeth and Jenny were very friendly and welcoming, my room was very clean and the bed comfortable, I would definitely stay here again. 👌
- L7550HFpaulb (10/5): Excellent Service - Elizabeth & Jenny offered excellent advice on local amenities and were a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely come again
- O5519SDrussellw (6/5): Tired and dated by Premier Inn standards - Premier Inn is our go to when ever we travel as you know what to expect.
We booked Premier Inn Sandhurst as we were attending a family Christening nearby. The hotel is situated on a busy junction and entrance to the car park wasn't well signposted and the exit is straight on to the junction so difficult to navigate.
The service at reception was extremely slow by Premier Inn standards with the receptionist taking a while to come to the desk and not really offering an explanation.
The rooms were standard Premier Inn which was what we expected, clean and functional.
We booked the meal deal which came with some surcharges on some dishes but generally represented good value although whenever I travel alone, I don't have breakfast choosing to buy something on the go instead.
The quality of our evening meal was OK as was the service. However, I was extremely disappointed that they refused to allow by 16 year old son to have a bottle of larger with me for our meal. Whilst acknowledging that it is up to the individual establishment, the law states that children of 14 can drink alcohol with a meal if supervised by a parent and we found the attitude of the waitress quite outdated.
Service at breakfast meanwhile was slow and in keeping with Premier Inn, generally poor value.
- francoist861 (10/5): Great reception - Booking in for my room and sorting any issues was bliss due to the two receptionist lizzie and Jen . Both of them made me feel welcome so far from home which was greatly appreciated. Rooms are cozy with all the amenities you would need for a short stay with your own ac that keeps you cool during the night . Gotta say one of my better hotel experiences and if sent down here again for work I would not protest that .
- SunderlandBobbi (10/5): Family visit - Yet another fabulous stay at Camborne Premier Inn 👏 .
Clean rooms , fast fill baths , blackout curtains an extremely comfortable bed !!!!
All the staff are so friendly and a special shout out to Lizzy and Mark who came to my rescue when I forgot order my drink 😁😁😁 Absolute stars 🌟 I will be returning 😀.
- christophertY970ED (8/5): Good value hotel - Stayed on a Sunday night at very low room rate.
Bed comfortable and room and bathroom clean and all we needed.
Confusion over late check out Monday morning was a disappointment as it really should be a simple request.
Fulfilled in the end.
Beefeater next door in the evening was very good value if not Michelin star, tasty and good.
The steak pie and chips recommended.
Others enjoyed the 4 starter as a main dish offer.
We enjoyed a very good English breakfast and 2 x continental for our party on Monday morning.
Overall, good value
- buzzard2000 (6/5): Excellent staff, filthy kettle. - Despite what appears to be quadruple glazing it was still possible to hear road noise. While this mostly was not too bad the occasional motorcycles revving up and the sirens of the emergency vehicles were definitely irritating. We had read the reviews, we had earplugs.
The kettle in our room was really badly stained - deep brown - and my wife was displaced that I accepted a replacement that was also stained, although not as badly. She thought it looked like mould spots and boiled/ drained the kettle 3 times before she was prepared to use it. She recommends they boil a bit of vinegar in there if descaling does not work.
Breakfast was the usual PI breakfast but there was a shortage of meat in the cottage pie for dinner.
The only reason this is not a lower rating is that all the staff were excellent.
- jaqandjohn (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Have just returned from a 4 day stay in the Premier Cambourne. We stayed in a Premier Inn Plus room which was delightful. The Reception staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble .Thank you Marc for getting me a bath mat.
Room was immaculate so a big thank you to House Keeping.
So thank you all for a perfect stay will be back. Youre all a credit to Premier.
- Claudia (10/5): - Lage super für Ausflüge in Cornwall mit dem Auto
- S7702JBedwardh (10/5): Staff sets this one apart. - I travel a lot with work and stay in all sorts of hotels, but Premier Inn Sandhurst is one I always look forward to returning to, and that’s all down to the amazing staff.
Tammy and Elizabeth on Reception are just fantastic. Always so friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They really make me feel at home from the moment I walk through the door. It’s the little things they do that make such a big difference after a long day far from home.
Special mention to Ben in the restaurant who always makes breakfast a chilled and great start to my day.
The rooms are everything you expect from a Premier Inn; clean, comfortable, and quiet. But it’s the team here that really sets this place apart from the rest. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re in need of a nice nights sleep in the area.
- suehV5881UO (10/5): Great stay - Staff were fab very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. All positive comments breakfast was good value and enjoyable.
- craigcP8077FQ (6/5): Disappointed with the breakfast - Hotel was good, clean and had helpful staff...
Paid for unlimited breakfast, waited 20 minute to give my order. Food was served fast. After completing I was asked if I wanted anything else, so I asked the server to come back to take my order in 5 minutes. Nobody came back within half an hour so I got up and left. Pretty disappointing when you pay extra for unlimited and they limit the service.
- Z8757GEkimw (10/5): Wedding and sightseeing - Camborne premier inn is so accessible and in the perfect location to explore Cornwall. Service and cleanliness was excellent. The premium rooms are definitely worth the little extra in cost. Highly recommended.
- CoupeColonel (8/5): Clean efficient but soulless. - Very efficient check in. Decent sized room and all very clean, but absolutely soulless. The ‘unlimited’ breakfast is actually served to your place and while you can order as much as you want nobody came back to ask if I wanted more. Overall Good enough.
- 170aded (10/5): Best premier inn - Had the lovely Rianne and Elizabeth check me in, amazing customer service, they had a great relationship as one was learning the ropes of reception, great ladies, had smiles on their faces throughout, and nothing was too much to ask for, premier Inn should be very proud of these ladies and the professional attitudes they showed . Will definitely come back for the great atmosphere and vibe
- Nickdav86 (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel with large comfy rooms that were clean. The shower in the bathroom could have been better and so could the service at breakfast. The staff however were friendly and welcoming and the premier inn staff on reception were efficient.
- JFM11111 (10/5): Premier Inn Caerphilly - The Premier Inn at Caerphilly is a very pleasant place to stay on the outskirts of the town. Although it is just off a busy road junction the rooms were quiet.
The room that we had was large, clean and well decorated but above all the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was clean and bright, the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water and toiletries were provided.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful also very talkative.
We paid for the full breakfast option and it was worth the extra cost as it was well cooked and plentiful, a great selection of fruit, cereal's and cooked food to order. There is a Toby Carvery next to the Premier Inn for an evening meal if required.
I would recommend this Inn for a stay in Caerphilly.
- berryandshaun (8/5): Great location - Great location for travelling to different parts of Cornwall. All the reception staff were friendly. It is let down a bit by the table table restaurant serving breakfast. The coffee cups are disgusting, not sure how they can call them clean.
- kimhA67MW (10/5): During the week stay - When we arrived at the Premier Inn, we were greeted by staff (Tammy & Elizabeth). They were very helpful and extremely friendly. Made us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond for our comfort. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.
- laurajayned2017 (8/5): Overall, pretty good and would stay again providing the room is warmed up!! - Fantastic welcome, sweet and friendly lady on reception.
Very comfy bed, spacious rooms and very clean.
A quiet location too so a very restful sleep (despite the flat pillows).
A bit of a chilly room but I spent so little time there that it did not matter (literally just used for sleep)
- Getaway36113759234 (10/5): Amazing professional staff member Lizzy - Had an amazing stay, accommodation was clean tidy the receptionist Lizzy what a beautiful kind soul nothing was to much, so kind and friendly, i have a few needs and she made sure to do her up most to make me have a more comfortable relaxed stay. so welcoming, always there to help, quick with advice, so professional cant rate her enough she made my stay so relaxing,, I will definitely be staying again.
- jennycR1309CS (10/5): Elizabeth ! Thank you - What can I say. ELIZABETH !!!! Omg !! We dont get to go away EVER because we have a severely autistic son. But we bit the bullet and stayed here, and the lady Elizabeth was like an angel sent from above to us all and especially our son. The kindness and support she showed us as a family was like nothing we have ever experienced before. I cant even put into words what a fantastic caring helpful cheerful beautiful lady she is. I dont know if you do employee of the month there but if u do I can imagine she wins EVERY SINGLE MONTH !! This is the only place we would ever stay at again, and only if Elizabeth is working. Thank you for your kindness to our family and especially our son. He adored you and so did we. Thank you thank you thank you xx
- juliantF1537VV (4/5): Not Great - Premier Inns are Really showing there age and a real lack of maintanace inside and outside.
Active Black Mould in the bedroom is never good to see. But to be told its because of trees 10 feet away, is kind of taking the P.
- marshall19_10 (8/5): Short stay - Stayed here just for one night after a busy day at Thorpe park. We had 2 rooms, which were on different floors. Checked in swiftly with a very warm welcome. Rooms were as you'd expect. Clean and equipped. Comfortable stay. Only issue was with our upstairs neighbours banging around all through the night unfortunately so didn't sleep well also had the same issue with the other room but next door. Can't help other people's inconsiderate nature sadly. Hotel was located well for what we wanted. Rooms are so warm tho they did provide a fan. Would stay again and would recommend.
- demieb2025 (10/5): Couples break - Me and my partner came and stayed for a few nights, staff were very helpful especially lizzy, she made sure we had everything we need, was so so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will defo be back! Felt like home from home. We really Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. 🥰
- Wander55174051994 (10/5): WOW - I stayed here again after recently staying in February, where we were greeted by Harley the hotel manager! He was also the one who checked us in last time.
Nothing but a warm welcoming smile by him and some funny banter. which we were also greeted with by Elisabeth in the morning. In the years I have stayed with premier inn this team are the only ones who have made me feel like I was checking in to a friend’s house. We will be definitely coming back again!
- Ant-Jones-86 (10/5): Well situated, quality hotel - We stayed here for 3 nights and used it as a base whilst we visited attractions in the area. The hotel is well located off the main road, ample parking and a nice restaurant next door. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout, the room was well maintained and had everything you would expect (kettle, tea, coffee, decent shower & plenty of towels). The only dig I could have at the place is it has no air con and the rooms got extremely warm but they provided fans in the rooms which helped. Train station is 15 minute walk away with trains to London Waterloo, big kids park 5 minutes walk away and a massive Tesco 3 minute drive away. For anyone visiting Legoland, Chessington or a day trip into London I would recomthis place.
- dynaglide1340 (10/5): Lovely premier inn - Stayed at this premier inn for many years now , we always get a warm welcome from Vicky , Leanne and Ian , quiet location , plenty of parking spaces , bus stop located at the side of the hotel takes you into Caerphilly and Cardiff , Toby carvery onsite , the hotel breakfast is delicious thanks to Ryan the chef and bev our server , what more could you ask for , it's a 10/10 from us 👍 .
- EmyRach (10/5): Always a good stay - We’ve stayed several times now when visiting family, and have always found it to be very pleasant. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is always good. There are plenty of other options for evening meals in Caerphilly, so the fact they don’t do food other than breakfast really isn’t an issue. It’s set off the road so isn’t too noisy, and the lack of air con isn’t an issue. (We stayed at another Premier Inn further north later the same week, where it very much was!!)
Reasonably priced, we’ll be back again (and again!)
- makeitso4u (8/5): Good price vs value - This is a good budget hotel. They are easy to find and the staff was friendly. The room was nice and clean. They served a nice breakfast with a variety of food. They do not have a bar or food available only a snack machine.
- emilysU4220FB (10/5): Fantastic stay. - All the staff have been wonderful, All staff have been approachable and easy to talk to (including the cleaning staff).
We asked for our bins to be emptied daily (a must with a toddler), we were surprised when we came back on our 2nd day having asked for just the bins to be emptied but they had done a proper clean (thank you!).
We hope to come back in the near future, to stay here and explore the area some more.
Thank you for making our holiday easier and more comfortable!
- N1561EGmichelleh (10/5): Excellent staff - Excellent staff and when asked for a simple din change the cleaner made beds, hoovered, cleaned the bathroom and got us new towels.
- ianchurms (10/5): enjoyable stay with fun and friendly staff, without nit picking any faults ( no need for it!) - I am not a building inspector or a WiFi fanatic but our stay was great! so I didn't inspect the room with a fine toothed comb and tape measure or use ookla speed test to check download speeds!, the price for our stay was acceptable, we used the room to watch TV on an evening when we got back, made tea and coffee, if we ran out we went to reception for more, no issues! then sleep in a comfy bed, so comfy we ordered a premier inn mattress for home, which we love!, the breakfast was great, yes it is only a breakfast room but the chefs and the servers were so funny and pleasant, we had lots of laughs with them, one of the night porters Ian knows where we come from as he used to travel to play at one of our local social pubs, so got on with him really well!. all in all a perfect place to lay your head when visiting Caerphilly, we stay here twice a year for a few days after a 5 hour drive to visit family, have tried the other PI in the town with adjoining pub, this one is far more pleasant. so the haters who give low reviews, you are just too picky or professional whingers!
- bevandgwyn (4/5): Poor Wifi - Can't fault the hotel, bedroom was comfy food in the restaurant really nice, The staff were really friendly, only issue was going on holiday with a 10 year and the Wifi was none existent in the hotel room made it a difficult weekend. Other residents mentioned the same issue we could have paid for the premium wifi upgrade but we were warned off by others telling us not to bother. Not a happy weekend for him, apart from that great place to stay
- jeanbO512TV (10/5): Excellent - Excellent very helpful staff
Room was very clean
Only issue was no hair dryer
Staff explained how to register your car in car park so you didn't get charged
- G2172NYjanek (10/5): Down for 40th birthday - Very good, we had a great time! Staff lovely, clean room, nothing fancy but just perfect for us! We had had a evening meal and breakfast, both very good and very enjoyable. The staff were outstanding
- George Peter (8/5): - Easy to find and a good base from which to "discover" the far west of Cornwall without paying an exorbitant amount for each night.
- Vacation08814344560 (2/5): Evening restaurant staff disgraceful Beefeater - Firstly this review takes the shine from Tara the chef on breakfast duty to whom dished the best breakfast to date at Premier inn. After a long day at work I went into the restaurant I ordered my drink to which arrived, asking if I could place my food order I was advised I had to wait for Charlie! I saw a young person taking food orders from people around me but nothing! I then saw the same person cleaning a large table to seat 6 person so I asked kindly if they could take my food orders, only to be told that they were busy and there were a lot of people that needed food, bear in mind there was at this time no one waiting to be seated and nor was it exceptionally busy hence they were cleaning a table, so I replied so you”d rather clean the table then take my food order from a paying customer and they carried on cleaning the table, so I left in disgust as they do not deserve my money and this individual needs retraining as to address paying customer, because without us you would not have tables to clean!!!! And it’s not like there were not any other clean tables so cannot understand the logic other than being ignorant !!! So from that experience I will not stay at this Premier Inn again, so well done, total disrespect for paying customers. My disgust is with the restaurant and not the hotel itself but you stay at the hotel for the whole package! P.S just to advise the room is extremely hot, even with window open and the fan supplied in the room does nothing other than blow warm air about the room.
- Y2049VRstephens (8/5): Caerphilly trip - Very quiet and comfortable in need of a bit of TLC the bathroom floor has rotted in places we were in room 23.
There is also evidence of floor dipping in room area too. Where skirting and floor is a gap.
- marcwB1041OQ (10/5): Great staff, hot room - When I arrived after a long day at work followed by a two hour drive I was greeted by the wonderful Elizabeth who gave me a big smile and welcomed me like I was one of her family. She was fantastic, very friendly, polite and extremely professional. I have been to a lot of your establishments with my work, and she really stands out. You should train your staff based on what she does. The only thing I would say is as the weather seems to be getting hotter each year for longer the chain should invest in air conditioning as the room was roasting, I know you guys pride yourselves on giving a great nights sleep, but that is very difficult to achieve when the widows don’t open and there is just a fan blowing warm air around the room. TLDR:- Great staff room too hot.
- kgorman1999 (8/5): Good base for exploring Cardiff - Premier Inn Caerphilly
The Premier Inn was used when we were attending a concert in Cardiff in July '25. It was easy to get in and out of the city with a useful location. The hotel was clean and well presented, with an easy check in and friendly staff. On returning after the concert, staff were present and welcoming again.
However, we did stay during the heatwave and the hotel does not have any air conditioning, though a fan is provided, but as a result the hotel did not cool down.
Overall, we would return to the hotel if we were returning to Cardiff.
- grahamcogan (10/5): Lovely hotel - Wonderful service especially Lianne on reception ...Shame they don't do evening food though Toby next door.........
- C8304RCjennyl (10/5): Would stay again! - Lovely friendly hotel. Location is perfect for where we needed to be.
Clean hotel and staff very helpful.
We didn't have food but there is a toby carvery next door and breakfast in the hotel is available too.
- helencM2202RZ (8/5): Needs refurbishment but staff lovely - Hotel was reasonable, cleanliness could have been better and some of the furnishings had seen better days. Bed was as expected for Premier Inn but with no air con and restricted windows the room got very warm. Staff however were lovely - Cara (think this was her name - purple hair!) was a joy and made our stay. Overall hotel was ok but needs some refurbishing!
- 143peteo (10/5): Corbett Lane Premier Inn - A nice, peaceful and quiet nights sleep, followed by buffet breakfast the following morning. Ian on reception makes the whole practice of checking in so very easy, then found him at breakfast cleaning tables, greeting guests, seating guests and portraying an element of calm while his legs are doing the duck dance out of sight. Serene and calm, that's Ian. We stay here between 4 and 6 times a year, he even recognised us as we arrived.
- sandrapI311WD (10/5): Wonderful staff, with whom we have got to know, and have a good rapport with. Breakfast is excellent.port. - Important for me to come back to Caerphilly to visit Thornhill.
Sandra and I have been made to feel welcome each time. The politeness and banter are great. Will only stay there each time we come back to Caerphilly.
Thank you so much, Lianne, Bev, Daz, and Ryan.
See you again soon.
Thank you again.
Sandra and Derek.
- RichardH626 (10/5): Friendly staff and large clean rooms - Clean rooms and bathroom and the friendliest and most helpful staff anywhere. They make you feel so welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and all the staff were the same. Made you glad you stayed there.
Would always go to this Premier Inn. They do a lovely breakfast too.
- Z288VNgaryg (2/5): Poor customer service - This morning, we came down for breakfast only to be abruptly told by the staff member on duty that we couldn't have any because it hadn't been pre-booked. The night before, we specifically asked about this and were assured we could book in the morning.
While I completely understand the need to manage numbers, the attitude of the staff member was shockingly rude and showed no regard for customer service. As a result, Premier Inn has not only lost the revenue from three breakfasts today but also five more tomorrow, as we have decided not to book anything further at this hotel.
It’s disappointing that such a poor experience and dismissive attitude have completely tainted our stay.
- 661keighleyc (10/5): 5 star breakfast - 5 star breakfast in this premier Inn. The staff are super Lovely and friendly. Me and my daughter love coming here for breakfast with our friends. They accommodate to our every need and can't do enough for us. Daz the chef makes a banging breakfast I must say.
