Guest Reviews
- Lena (10/5): - Stort rum. Trevlig personal. Fin pub där frukosten serverades.
- Wendy (4/5): - Expensive
- suebillingham (2/5): Dissatisfied stay - Cold room
Poor quality food. Lack of parking
Dirty cups at breakfast . Greasy plates. Sticky tables. Lack of staff
Not enough parking. Poor check in. Room cards given didn't work
- Wjame (2/5): DONT DO IT - Absolutely disgusting run down damp smelly hell hole.
How premier bosses have not closed this place is beyond me I stay at premier hotels every week this is definitely the worst I have ever experienced.
- adamsG7396FG (10/5): making business easy - Helpful, cheerful great stay all round.
Easy to find. Excellent rooms clean and tidy comfy beds. Many restaurants available.
- N2795BAdavidf (8/5): Brilliant staff!! - This hotel was brilliant as far as the staff were concerned, they went above and beyond at all times, always smiling! The rooms were clean and comfortable however the bathrooms could be a little cleaner, the shower area could do with a little extra attention at times! parking is a nightmare at times here so be prepared if arriving late in the evening, staff will help where possible!
Overall i couldn't really fault it, good value and great service!
- D9102VPlizw (10/5): Reliable - Excellent welcome. Standard PI room.... comfy bed and clean.
If you want to eat at the restaurant it's essential to book .... we didn't and ended up getting Domino's pizza delivered to the room!
- Explorer55723883448 (8/5): Premier Inn Great Service - Premier Inn rooms up to normal high standard and service from staff was great. Special thank you to front desk ( I think Kieron) for returning an item I’d lost. My only real negative was the hot items on display at breakfast did not look at very appetising but the poached eggs I had freshly cooked were delicious.
- martincY6941RJ (2/5): Premier Grim: The Only Thing Premier Is the Regret. - Perhaps the most miserable of Premier Inn's I have stayed in. Car parking was already difficult before the work that is goin on, consuming a chunk of the top carpark. Rooms are generally tired, though clean. If you're unlucky your room will be a good walk from reception, and if you're lucky, your key might work when you arrive, saving you the trek back for a replacement. And it will no doubt fail later in the day too.
The attached restaureant and pub is perhaps the worst I have had the displeasure to use, with very low service levels and inedible food, despite being quiet on the night we had to suffer through.
It is also often expensive for a Premier Inn.
If you can find an alternative, I suggest you do.
- HarryL502 (10/5): A good experience - Debbie the receptionist set very high standards with her caring efficient warm welcome.
The room was spotless, well maintained and very comfortable and the pre booked and purchased breakfast was excellent.
Contrary to our original intentions we decided to also have an evening meal at the hotel. This was readily organised by Debbie in a very warm, understanding way complete with a lovely smile.
Whilst understandably the menu was limited it did cater for all requirements and great care was taken to ascertain if we had any allergies. The freshly cooked food was quite acceptable.
- Wanderer51676216860 (6/5): Somewhere to stay the night after a very long journey , nice breakfast , friendly staff - My family and I met here and stayed the night after travelling a very long way for a funeral in Hereford . We were extremely tired when we arrived and the staff were smiley and efficient booking us in . Other members of the family had easily travelled by cab into Hereford for food which they really enjoyed . We were too tired and there wasn’t really anything but a cafe kind of room
At the premier to eat or drink . Our room did look abit dated but they are what they are . The bathroom
Had a clinical smell to it but you can’t say it wasn’t clean . In the morning again the staff were smiling and helpful , more family turned up and they were able to go in and get breakfast with us and there was plenty of seating and it was a very nice cosy relaxing atmosphere . Chef was working hard to cater for un expected extras but we all eat well with plenty of coffee .
- V2040NXsarahc (10/5): Fantastic stay - Had a fantastic stay here for a work trip with colleagues. The room was clean, had everything I needed and was very quiet which meant I had a great sleep. The service at reception and the bar was exceptionally friendly. Stuart went above and beyond to ensure that we all had a pleasant stay. Will definitely return when next in the area.
- Y7880OGiant (8/5): Work week away - Room all clean restaurant small but food good staff good Irena made me welcome at breakfast and very helpful only down side limited drinks menu.
- Crispy1966 (10/5): Thanks Irena - I would like to thank Irena who was extremely professional when dealing with this male Karen, that’s me by the way, thank you young lady and you do have an amazing smile
- KerryMickiewicz (8/5): Good nights sleep - Very comfortable bed, good nights sleep. Wouldn’t eat in the restaurant as it isn’t very clean. There is also work happening at the moment, however it was very quiet - but it was the weekend.
- C3419WBaarong (10/5): Staff go above and beyond - Large premier inn in good location. Stayed for one night rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff are amazing and friendly went above and beyond to help us as we needed a later checkout can't thank them enough. Breakfast was top notch with plenty on offer couldn't ask for anything more 10/10.
- Inspire20717282327 (10/5): I’ve been staying here for a while with my daughters and the rooms are always clean excellent facilities - Great location, the rooms are always clean with excellent facilities, I stay here at once or twice a month with my daughters and we’ve always been happy
- David_H4 (4/5): Noisy room. - Avoid room 119 - it is above the noisy kitchen extraction system which is switched on at 05:00.
No compensation offered...
- gillfs123 (6/5): Mixed bag! Breakfast 10/10 - Bit of a mixed bag with this one. All the staff were lovely, the hotel room was very large, did see a couple of cobwebs, but put that down to Halloween.
I haven’t stopped in a Premier Inn for many years, and for £50 just 30 miles from London it was very reasonable, we prepaid for full English breakfast, which made it £72.
We arrived lateish on Thursday, 7.30pm and went for tea in the Brewers Fayre, and ordered food, I got a chicken tikka masalla, but when it came out it was just tepid! Not wanting a bad tummy I sent it back. Staff were very apologetic and it was all sorted. But we were both like, oh dread to think what breakfast is like!
Well weren’t we in for a pleasant surprise! Breakfast was all exceptionally fresh, the chef and front of house lady both lovely and friendly! Oh and how organiser it was.
Tomato and HP sauce lined up, for you to take to your table, fruit juice jugs full, tea and coffee in a logical place with the bin next to the tea bags! All logical and well thought out for the customer.
Being an ex hospitality manger, with slight OCD, I was very impressed. I did tell the front of house lady how well it was organised, had a chat, and she was very humble and said it was a team effort.
So a mixed bag, reasonable hotel, very pleasant staff, evening meal could have been better, breakfast really good!
- adamtK3710FU (2/5): Serving raw food. - My indian starter was served under cooked and almost raw. I complained and the server asked if i wanted another, i said no thank you. My main then arrive with cold rice and chicken, I complained again. The server took my main and never offered an alternative and recover came back to my table.
- 748sanjeevr (10/5): Nice and value for the money - We stayed in this Premier Inn, and we quite liked it. It’s really value for the price. We got two rooms and our stay was very comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful.
- J3924FRedwards (10/5): Malik and Alfy! Amazing work! - We had the an amazing day at this premier inn! We have stayed in many hotels across the world but have never received the level of hospitality Malik and Alfy provided. They were happy to help us in every way they could think of and made us feel so welcomed right from the beginning. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home even for just 1 night! We will for sure be back to this Premier in and hope to see Malik and Alfy again. True gentlemen that set the industry standard of hospitality
extremely high, and wish them all the best in their careers in hospitality and hope others follow their example. Amazing work guys, keep it up!!!
- Danza1986 (10/5): Great overnight stay to break our journey up - Lovely hotel. Very friendly. Children were given a bag of Halloween treats on arrival which contained colouring in, fruit shoot and some sweets. We thought this was a lovely touch and the children loved them after traveling back from Disneyland.
Room was clean and just what we needed. Breakfast was lovely too.
- G2628YUclarep (2/5): Poor - Disabled parking spaces used by non blue badge holders, car park full of work vans so parking was difficult especially as I’m a blue badge holder, staff at premier inn friendly but staff at brewers fare rude! Breakfast was poor and certainly not “Full English” hash browns, fried eggs and black pudding missing on two mornings, pastries and cakes poor and empty on Monday, we waited at the podium in the restaurant “please wait here” for several minutes on the Monday but after no service we walked to the bar and got presented with “have you pre booked” in a rude manor and got told the wifi doesn’t work at the podium so that’s why no staff was there. Plates and cutlery piled up on tables which were not cleared away every morning. Dirty bathroom in our room dusty ledges, window handle broken, vanity dusty, bits on carpet and room not serviced even though we asked for it to be done, dirty corridors with bits on the floor, and messy sticky ledges.
- peterrQ1189ZW (6/5): Good Rooms but otherwise there were issues especially with the Brewers Fayre - Premier Inn High Wycombe/Beaconsfield and the Brewers Fayre (Papermill)
Our room was very good, comfortable, clean, with the ability to control the temperature. The bed made for a good sleep so for our stay it was a good choice.
However the parking was a nightmare. There were just many vans in all the available areas so finding a suitable space was extremely difficult. This was mentioned to the receptionist when checking in but she seemed disinterested and frankly a little dismissive.
Our experience at the Brewers fayre for which we had dinner around 20.00 and Breakfast around 8.15 was pretty awful. On arrival at the bar we were told that there was no draught beer only one bottled ale and a limited choice on the menu. Ok I understand that they had a few problems but the manor that this was conveyed was unhelpful.
So we found a seat, and I went back to the bar and asked what food was available and was told that he would come over explain and take an order. But he did not come back.
So I went to the bar again and a different barman was generally chit chatting to four customers. UI saw the original barman, but he ignored me waiting at the bar and carried on clearing tables.
Eventually he returned to the bar, and I ordered food and drinks. However the drinks he supplied were not correct. He insisted that he had supplied what I ordered but a cola instead on tonic was not right. I stated that I definitely order the G&T which is my wife’s normal tipple. Eventually and grudgingly he swapped the drinks.
Breakfast was by and large fine, but the pub was pretty empty so waiting some time to be seated was surprising. I guess she wanted to finish whet she was doing then come back to us to ensure we paid.
My slight complaint was that the plates were cold so the hot food was not really that hot, the mushrooms were cold and when we had finished and went up for coffee a member a staff brought out the hash browns which were otherwise unavailable.
- CreamTea77 (4/5): Hotel awful, staff great - We thought it had a beefeater attached when we booked but that is now a derelict building in the carpark. There is nowhere else walkable to eat, (staff recommended the Three Elms, about half an hours walk), so you are stuck in the small internal "converted amenity" called the Social (doesn't open till 5pm) with a limited menu and bottled or canned wine - very limited drinks (1 temporary moretti pump set up on a table). Sky news is playing on a tv.
The kitchen (about 10 x 8ft) has one man operating it at breakfast and evenings, carrying bags of frozen food past guests to it. It has an open hatch so you can see him snipping open microwave pouches of food and pouring from catering packs of sauce. A dismal experience. As it is only 1 man "cooking" he can only prep 2-4 meals every 15-20mins so if 6 of you want to eat together - you can't. They run out of ingredients too. Onion rings were advertised with tartare sauce but we got ketchup. No prawns, but that was probably a blessing.
The bathroom was ridiculously tight, the door shaves the corner of the sink when you go in and then hits the shower, and when you are in but want to come out the metal latch of the door catches your clothing as you can't stand far enough back to escape it as the door opens in towards you.
There's a happy hour offering all beer wine and cider £8 for 2, we were charged £12.25 and had to arrange a refund after leaving. We left after one night (had booked two), it was so depressing.
Final straw was a guest at breakfast arriving to eat in their well worn pyjamas and furry slippers and an anorak slung over the top. At least have a sign requesting guests to be in daytime attire!
The tiny number of staff trying to run this place deserve medals, they are doing their best. Premier Inns need to help this venue out as the staff can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. We booked this one instead of the city centre one as this had parking on site, but accessing it is not easy. There's only one entrance to it, a small driveway just before the island on the northbound A49, traffic was heavy so if you approach on the A4103 you're in a long queue to get back up the northbound A49.
So, we lost the price of the 2nd night we'd booked but it was worth it not to have to endure a 2nd depressing evening in the "Social" room. If this was the first Premier Inn you ever booked, you'd never book another. We use them lots all year and most are really good, but this was awful.
- 870zainabk (6/5): Clean - My stay at Travelodge was okay overall — not terrible, but not great either. The room was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, and the staff were polite and helpful. However, a few things could definitely be improved. The room felt a bit basic, and some facilities looked a little worn out. Noise from the hallway and other rooms was also noticeable at night. It’s fine if you’re just looking for a simple place to sleep, but don’t expect anything fancy.
- M8802EAnickb (2/5): Nothing Premier about this Inn - Staff were helpful but that was the only positive, The car parking was poor. The rooms in need of refurbishment, The hotel noisy at night and early mornings. There was not enough staff to deliver meals effectively in particular at breakfast where there were huge queues, no cutlery and plates and tables left uncleared.
- warwickv2021 (2/5): Just awful - Just run down really. Got locked in the toilet after not having any loo role. Good menu but nothing In stock. Food is cooked in front of you as they pour out of bags and microwave. Chicken wings are not even chicken wings despite being shown a boil in the bag they came in saying they are.( I'm a game keeper so I know a wing when I see them) Very limited bar don't even sell the most common drinks like vodka gin or whiskey. Only mixed tins or bottles. No local pubs so you will need to get a taxi to enjoy food drink or even location . Ps staffing were amazing
- maggiesU2805RY (10/5): Excellent stay lovely staff - Goody bags for kids and water given by fabulous team serving on reception. Booking Dinner and breakfast time and meal deal explaining kids goes free for breakfast . Car park was free and just need to register reg on a tablet provided on reception.
Good location and easy connections to motorway .
- Ste030764 (2/5): Very poor experience - The hotel is being refurbished which they did warn us about but it was chaos
Nowhere to park
Check in absolutely terrible
Bar shut at 10pm so we couldn't get a drink
Breakfast absolutely chaotic
Food quality dreadful
- 698lucie (8/5): Premier Inn Holmer - Second time staying at Premier Inn Holmer. Room was on the ground floor and was on the next to the busy road leading into Hereford. Bathroom was good albeit very small with the door taking up most of the bathroom. Shame the beefeater has closed down as the restaurant is very small and has a limited menu. Sweer and Sour Prawns are on the menu but the meal deal is worth the price. Debbie is very helpful and she covers both reception and meal service really well.
- T9166PIpeterh (4/5): Not our best Premier Inn experience. - The entrance to this hotel is about 20 yards from a busy roundabout on the A49, and is impossible to access from the opposite side of the road. This is not helped by the totally inadequate signage at the hotel entrance itself, which is a very small, unlit sign attached to a wall and only visible from the northbound side of the A49 approaching the entrance.
The car-park is quite large but inadequately lit, and again has somewhat misleading signage for the hotel entrance and reception.
The hotel itself appears very old and shabby, with worn carpets and some faulty, flickering ceiling lights.
Our ground floor room was sparsely furnished, with no sofa bed, only one armchair and a chair at the desk.
The bathroom was fairly awful, with peeling paint and plaster, cracked and damaged skirting boards, chipped enamel on the bath, cracked and broken tiles, damaged worktop riser and dirty / rusty soap dispenser. The washbasin drain was partly clogged with soap scum and other detritus, and the toilet flush mechanism was faulty. In the morning the water was not warm enough to have a shower, and barely warm enough to shave with. A piece of loose carpet at the bathroom door is a potential tripping hazard especially in the dark.
On the positive side, the staff were very pleasant and helpful as always, and the breakfast was good, as usual.
- C7785WPmj (4/5): More Sunday league than Premier! - There was a damp smell in the room upon arrival even though the widow was open and there was mold on the ceiling in the bedroom.
A plus point the bed was quite comfy!
The evening meals were very poor! service was slow and the food was just warmed up glorified ready meals, re heated in a microwave. This was fully visible due to the open kitchen. My curry which i considered a safe option due to the "cooking style" was very sparse on chicken about four small nuggets and there was no mango chutney to go with the plain poppadom, contra to what was stated on the menu! My colleagues fish and chips was very dry and synthetic although the breakfasts did fair better though!
- DiscerningTourist (2/5): Avoid!!! - This has to be one of the worst Premier Inns in the UK. It is incredibly difficult to find. The postcode for satnav is at least half a mile from the property. The signage once you do arrive in the general vicinity is appalling and covered in overgrown trees and shrubbery. The hidden entrance is in a housing area that is a cul de sac. The parking options are poor and please don't get me started on the filthy Brewers Fayre bext door. Avoid at all costs regardless of the cheap rates.
- JohnCol (2/5): Hotel has serious problems. - This hotel has serious problems. First of all. for the time we spent there, it wasn't cheap. The price was more than for an upmarket hotel. the room was grubby. the furniture was quite dirty. The heating didn't work. During the night, on all three nights we stayed, there was an extremely loud screeching noise, which seemed to come from the plumbing on the floor above. In the restaurant, the breakfasts were fine, although the room is too small for the number of guests. In the evening, we ate there twice. They had no red or white wine. The draught beer was off. The menu is small, and of that, several items were unavailable both nights. We were told that they only get a delivery every two weeks. They managed to get three out of ten orders wrong. I do have to say that the staff were fine, so this is really a management issue. Most Premier Inns we've stayed at including several in London have been very good. This one needs some attention.
- ruperth298 (10/5): Very decent place - Room very clean, bed comfy, everything worked in room (didn't try the air con as was mild night), breakfast was tasty and well cooked, staff were helpful and pleasant. Easy to get to, quiet environment over night .can recommend and would stay again. Decent private car park reasonable size with spare parking even though we arrived at 9pm, although was a Thursday night.
- Sunshine15273134547 (6/5): A tired Hotel which needs urgent TLC but has some great staff - The Hereford Holmer. The staff were outstanding but the hotel is very tired. The restaurant is ridiculously small for the size of hotel. The plumbing could do with an overhaul as the shower seemed determined to boil or freeze us with no happy medium available. The bed was good and the room, although old, was cleaned to a high standard.
- Fairenoughreview (2/5): Very tired and run down. Not good. - Very run down and tired. Weird smell in the hallways and rooms. Not usual premier inn standard. Please book somewhere else. Extremely poor.
- X2021WGphilipb (4/5): Poor value for a dated hotel - Overpriced poor quality hotel. It’s dated and needs a serious update. Bathrooms are dated, mouldy and rusty with bubbling paint.
- bridget864 (10/5): Nice stay - Stayed for one night
Good car park
Nice staff
Room was ok
Bed came pillows comfy
Breakfast was very nice, hot, tasty and plentiful
- Q996CLamyw (10/5): Great value, great stay. - We were greeted with a warm welcome, our room was perfect and had everything we needed. The Social dining area was great and good excellent. We had the breakfast and evening meal package and topped it with some happy hour drinks. All was great value. Our servers both evening and this morning were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and would stay again
- wellings17 (10/5): Nice stay and nice room - We stayed here for one night to be near the ferry port to go to Ireland for the next day.

Window in the room.
The bathroom was nice and clean with shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower, and the sink had soap dispenser on the wall
It had nice white clean towels..
It had coffee and tea making facilities..
Breakfast was a good choice and was self-service.. Staff were friendly.. There
Is a car park..We slept well. So all was good
We can't fault this hotel. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again
- helenr770 (10/5): Birthday meal - Booked a table for 4 for my friends birthday meal, Our friends first time dining here, Our server Jess H was fantastic! she was attentive, and friendly as always. The service really made our dining experience and friends birthday special.

- 103chrisw103 (6/5): Nice room but… - Nice location, quiet, and clean room, but that’s not what we’ll remember of our visit. We were contacted before we went and asked if we wanted a meal deal, special offer on breakfast and evening meal. We said we wouldn’t be there for breakfast, but could we think about the evening meal, which was about £17 for 2 courses. We were told that was no problem, we could decide when we arrived. When we checked in, a few days later, a pleasant lady asked again if we wanted the meal deal, we said no to breakfast, but she said that was fine, we could have the special offer on the evening meal. However, she couldn’t take payment on that till, but that when we came down for dinner that evening we should just ask for the offer before we were seated. So we did, only to be refused, and told that the two previous members of staff had misinformed us. She decided to tell us this in the company of other diners, and guests at the bar, a very public area. When we asked if she was sure, she left us there to find the manager. The manager, Caryl?, then decided to embarrass us further in front of other guests by telling us we’d misunderstood and couldn’t have the special offer. Our embarrassment only ended when we told her to forget it, the money was no issue and we would prefer to just be seated.
The restaurant staff seem to think it’s fine to make you look stupid in front of other guests, rather than taking us to our table to explain quietly.
Not somewhere we would want to return to.
- P8380CBkevink (10/5): short break - very handy for the crossing to Ireland.room was very nice, we loved the comfortable bed and disabled toilet for my wife as she is in a wheelchair.receptionist was very helpful and courteous.we stayed here on the way back as well
