Guest Reviews
- Johnjane0617 (10/5): Premier plus confirmed as 'Premier' - Great stay, with in walking distance of the rugby stadium, kind and helpful staff, Premier Plus room as good as any top hotel, clean, great bed and an extra pillow that isn't like a slice of cheese!!
Highly recommend.
- H1071KTericf (4/5): Knocking and banging - We were in room 6 downstairs, the banging and knocking from the room upstairs was constant, it sounded like chairs being moved constantly, it went on for hours and continued the following morning, not a great experience and very little sleep
- vickyhS4568JC (8/5): Hotel beautiful but let down by breakfast. - The hotel side itself was absolutely spotless and i could not fault this.
Unfortunately when we arrived at breakfast nothing on the continental side had been replenished. There were no pastries, pancakes or fruit juices.
Lots of the tables were covered in dirty plates which unfortunately was still like it once we had left.
This was not the fault of the employee as he was the only person working. He was trying to serve guests, replenish the breakfast area, take orders and bring out the hot food. Considering there had been an international rugby match the day before we many visitors staying at the premier inn you would have thought there would be more staff on to help.
- LisaT4842 (10/5): Great hotel! - Stunning service from the staff. The room was amazing. Fresh, clean, aircon, very comfortable bed. Had everything that you need. I highly recommend.
- wilsoniancat22 (10/5): Excellent stay. Loved my room - I was working in Richmond centre and couldn’t face the thought of the traffic on a Monday morning, so on Sunday afternoon decided to see if I could get a reasonably priced hotel nearby for the night. I got a premier plus double room at this hotel with breakfast for £59 so booked it. I’m so glad I did. I arrived at 5pm on Sunday night. Very pleasant friendly lady at check in, lots of free parking and 1st impressions were very positive. I had room 121. Really lovely room, clean, spacious, very well equipped with hairdryer, mini fridge, iron, complimentary water and wifi and a spotlessly clean modern bathroom. My room faced the rear of the hotel and was so quiet I slept like a baby in the super comfy bed. Breakfast this morning was in the Winning Post pub next door and was excellent. Can’t fault anything about my stay and would absolutely return if I was in the area
- X8595XRpaulk (10/5): Lovely hotel - Arrived 3 hours early. Went inside to sort out parking and was told our room was ready . Good start.
Went to our room. Found we had a queen size bed. The room was immaculate and bathroom spotless.
The winning post pub adjoining was also very nice. Didn't dine there as we were out and about in London. Also unlike some other pubs they didn't close early every night. So after a long day walking around London we could have a night cap.
Will definitely stay here again.
- sharongD7778XV (10/5): Lovely stay- dont be put off with the negative reviews - Don't let the negative reviews put you off booking. We really enjoyed our stay in one of the 'Premier Plus' rooms, it was lovely and clean, the bed was comfy and all the staff were really nice and helpful.
We ordered breakfast, which is served in the pub (The Winning Post), which is on the side of the building. It was amazing; there was plenty of choice (even as a vegetarian), and the cooked breakfast was made to order. The serving staff were sociable despite being busy.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.
- 920helen (10/5): Faultless - Faultless - free parking, friendly and competent reception staff, clean room, recently refurbished, comfortable bed, and quiet. Didn’t use the restaurant. Exactly what I’m looking for in a Premier Inn. Thank you
- 667jacquig (4/5): Poor experience. - The check in was easy and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was in poor condition and in need of refurbishment. There was black mould on the bath seal and on the grout between some tiles. The sink was not thoroughly cleaned with tarnished chrome fittings. The shower had a leak in the pipe above the shower head so when I use, the water from the pipe sprayed on the ceiling before soaking the bathroom floor. It was evidently now a new issue due to the damp damage o. The ceiling.
- CMQ17 (4/5): Very run down hotel ! In need of urgent refurbishment - We booked 2 rooms in this hotel for 4 night as we were attending a family gathering nearby
First the postive ! Staff are lovely .. very kind and helpful & breakfast next door is lovely .. but unfortunately that’s were it ends
The smell in both our rooms was just vile !! We would have checked out immediately only we were busy for 4 days with family commitments so didn’t want to cause any issues ..I asked prior to arriving for our rooms to be cleaned daily ., I also asked the day we checked in .. it was noted on system .. on our first full day when leaving hotel I said our rooms are ready for cleaning we’ll be back around 5pm to get ready to go out again so rooms will be cleaned ! All agreed ! To our horror when we arrived back no rooms were cleaned ! We had to ask again and wait 30 mins to have them done .. the next day one bed was made one wasn’t !! It was just shocking
The rooms are literally the worst I have ever stayed in ! The bathroom is a health hazard ! The floor is like walking on a water bed ! I honestly have no idea how a chain like premier inn get away with this level of accommodation.. I had a constant headache from the smell ..
- wylma504 (2/5): Nothing Premier about Premier! - FAR FROM A PREMIER EXPERIENCE. Exorbitant rates for a poor quality experience. Uncleaned room; Messy best describes it. Despite requesting my room be cleaned for the second day of my stay, it was not. I cringe to think I may have been given a room that was not even cleaned on the first day!! Clearly, the staff puts out only a bare bones effort for their guests.
- richarda17 (6/5): Tired Premier Inn - The hotel is tired, our bathroom was awful. There was mould on the tiling and the paintwork was damaged. We were not happy that the door between reception and the rooms was propped open ensuring that there was no security at all. Parking was fine, plenty of spaces. The pub that was attached, although not part of PI, was okay although prices of lager, £6.85, was ridiculous. This isn't even London, just a suburb. As for the WiFi, I give in with these people, when they say 'Ultimate WiFi' and it's 8Gb that's laughable.
- clairehQ5660QE (4/5): Extremely Hot! - Reception staff friendly & helpful. Pub next job very welcoming. Room quite grubby!
However….don’t ever plan a stay in a heatwave!!! We had 2 fans thankfully, which is the only reason I didn’t pack up & drive home. It is insanely hot, sticky & uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping in a sauna! Room temp was 31!! If I’d of had another night booked, I’d never of stayed….they definitely need to sort air con.
- IndupriyaR (10/5): Great location , great food and very well thought through and got all the basics spot on. - Fantastic staff , great pub next door , very thoughtful - I had 2 fans in my room as it was summer on top of the air conditioning . Very simple yet thoughtful design . Got all the basics right . Female staff onsite helped me feel safe staying on my own for the first time .
- stevedX5804DX (10/5): One of my favourite Premier Inns - I have stayed at plenty of Premier Inns, and this is one of my favourites…
Easy spacious car park was a great start, amazingly quiet room considering the position of the main road, and breakfast cooked to order!
Sharon at breakfast was one of the best staff I have ever encountered at any Premier Inn.
- 884hollied (6/5): Great location but needs a refurb - Great location. Walking distance to Whitton train station (5 minute walk) and free parking at the premier inn.
Sadly the premier inn was worn down. Our family room was standard, no air con, the pull out child’s bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood. The room needed a refurb but had what we needed. The hotel was secure, the lady on reception on arrival was friendly but the next day there were two members of staff who didn’t acknowledge us.
We paid for breakfast which was in the pub next door who were friendly, best customer service I’ve received in a long time. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Would definitely visit there again.
Overall the premier inn needs a refurb!
- stevebG9210OS (4/5): Room adequate but avoid the breakfast in the grim pub next door! - Hotel room absolutely fine clean, a little tired may be. The mistake we made was paying for breakfast which is sited next door in a really grim pub. The breakfast was really poor quality and badly cooked. It’s still stuck in my stomach 3 hours later! If you have to stay in the area it’s fine as a sleep over but avoid breakfast
- the_globtrotters (2/5): Very poor condition & sleep & leaking toilet - Just had a one night stay here and it was terrible. Considering they doubled the price from a normal nights stay it is not what you would expect for over £200 for a nights stay
Booked a double room which had only 1 towel
The Thermostat was broken and would not lower the temp but could not have the window open as the noise from Heathrow was LOUD
Curtain would not open on one side
Toilet leaked every time you flushed it spilling out soiled water onto your feet/socks and the floor. This was a known problem as reception said they had someone in to fix it and from the state of the furniture it had been leaking for some time
We then had the pleasure of the person in the room next door snore all night so we got no sleep as they were snoring, it was too hot and if the missus had been willing I was ready to leave at 1am so I could drive 3hours back home to sleep
- sarahY8202GC (10/5): Perfect place to stay if going to Twickenham Stadium - This was the best Premier Inn we have stayed in, the staff all had a welcoming smile, the rooms were spotless and a good size and the bonus was the free car park. We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the stadium as we were visiting for the Rugby but it exceeded our expectations. The pub next door was great as well, and we would definitely stay again.
- DayTrip47294718176 (10/5): Friendly helpful staff, with free parking and close to public transport - Hotel was clean, Staff friendly and helpful and bed was comfy. Although it is on a main road, the triple glazed windows allow noise to be a minimum.
Whitton train station was a short 5 minute walk with trains to Twickenham/Richmond and London Waterloo making it easy to get around to where we needed to go without sitting in the always busy London traffic.
The price was good for the position and we would definitely return should the need arise.
