Guest Reviews
- JMedway (10/5): Best receptionist in the country? - I stay in Milton Keynes regularly, there is a huge range of hotels to choose however I keep coming back to this hotel and its for one reason.
Rej on reception is one of the best hotel receptionists you'll ever meet, his friendly warm and welcoming service is great, if your struggling with your bags he wont even ask, but just jump straight up to help you to your door. He's a great example of how you should be looked after when away from home.
- O2327GTnatalier (2/5): Better hotels in the area - Was the worst experience ever. Not good for dinner, told cannot order in and eat on the premises, not like I can go home and cook myself. Staff rude about breakfast. Walls all dirty, saw a few spiders. Not a great experience
- marciapI9354XL (10/5): Best Premier Inn We Have Stayed In. - Great location with lovely view of Furzton Lake. Plenty of parking which was free. Lovely warm welcome by Reception. Large rooms with really comfy bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Super fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast room located just off the reception, we paid the extra for the cooked breakfast which was well worth the money, friendly welcoming staff. The Hungry Horse opposite is linked by a corridor on the ground floor, perfect for when the weather isn't. Nice quiet location, will be booking a stay again next year.
- Y2086NHjoannec (8/5): Premier Inn - We have come here Xmas shopping every year for ages. It’s in a great location right next to the shopping centre and with a double bed for me and my husband and 2 seperate beds for the children. It’s always quiet and very peaceful atmosphere. It’s good value especially breakfast however we always arrive late and there’s no pancakes left. We have never had a problem with cleanliness and the service is good, especially at breakfast.
- MadGerald (10/5): Great location. Nice hotel. Couldn’t fault it. MASSIVE thanks to staff Cameron & Vicky. Absolute stars! A******* - Just back from a 1 night stay at this hotel. Could not fault it. We were visiting the town hall, to see a gig & the hotel is literally a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Great location for the town centre
Plenty of on site parking (£8 for overnight parking, which isn’t bad for a city centre)
The hotel is well maintained & would to give a special shout out to the staff, Cameron & Vicky. Both were so friendly & helpful, & went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant & enjoyable. We opted to have evening meal at the hotel & the portions were great (I strongly advise taking up the 30% discount, that gives you a starter, main meal & breakfast in the morning for £26. Absolute bargain!
If we return for another event in Middlesbrough, we will definitely stay here again. Once again, thank you so much Cameron & Vicky. An absolute couple of stars!
- Footprints401731 (10/5): Great breakfast. - Had a lovely breakfast here, while waiting for our car to be serviced nearby.
Excellent value. Special mention to Cameron who looked after us.
- Ssslls70 (8/5): The perfect setting - Pros - setting is perfect with lovely lake views, short drive to shops/restaurants, lots of free parking. Breakfast was spot on, all food was hot and well presented (GF catered for). Cheap stay even with early check-in and breakfast. Good peaceful sleep.
Cons- service at reception was slow, check in took a while, rooms are dated and could be cleaner.
- EmmaW4501 (10/5): Perfect. Not too much surrounding noise and very clean - Very clean room.
No loud surrounding noises at night.
Super happy friendly staff.
Comfortable beds.
Wifi is a problem though, had to keep logging on also tried to add £5 for wifi??? Come on bit much.
- 440aimeew (10/5): Christmas shopping trip - Reg booked us in quickly on friday night and when we got into our room there was only double beds, reg went to get bedding for both rooms and made the single beds up too very quickly. Reg went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome. Thanks so much!!!
- mathewbO3512SS (2/5): Terrible stay - Long wait for food no sheets for baby’s cot and when requested they supplied but it was damp they apologized but n t acceptable didn’t dry until 4 hours later splashes of sick in bathroom by the toilet bath was very dirty overall worst stay I’ve had
- Climber140695 (10/5): Great breakfasts! - I stay here every week and breakfast is always delicious. Always fresh. Nothing is left standing for too long. It never disappoints and Jillian is always friendly and helpful. Thanks!

- matthewsD1791TS (10/5): Sanderson - Prefer this Premier Inn because there is plenty of parking and the location is convenient to where I need to go. Rej recognised me from my previous stays.
- rhysd405 (10/5): Dyer - Lovely hotel, always warmly welcomed by the lovely Rej at the reception. Always prefer to stay here whenever I’m in Milton Keynes
- amylH185YR (10/5): Warm welcome - Great stay as ever. Speedy check in, nice and clean facilities and a lovely warm welcome at breakfast from Jillian. Well located place to stay.
- 544mikele (10/5): A home far away from home - I’d like to commend the team at Premier Inn Middlesbrough for their consistently high standard of service. The staff are always courteous and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes each stay enjoyable.
A special mention to Jillian, whose warmth and professionalism make mornings a pleasure. Frequent work travel can sometimes feel isolating, but the friendliness of this team genuinely helps ease the feeling of being away from home.
- dylangU3029RN (10/5): Very good - I had a lovely stay at the Premier Inn Middlesbrough Town Centre! The hotel was really quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The staff were all so friendly and helpful – the service was excellent from start to finish. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just what you’d expect from Premier Inn. Would definitely stay again! xx
- mikefN2069VD (10/5): A great place to stay - A great location right near to the shopping centre and the snow dome food is great znd the hotel rooms are clean ip to date and very comfortable.
- N6534LTgaryb (10/5): My daughter and I just had an amazing time being there. - The location was excellent, the atmosphere warm and welcoming the room was perfect, value I could not ask for a better price for the stay cleanliness was just perfect, noise level very quiet indeed, service impecable cannot fault it, amenities again just perfect cannot fault it.
- Highlander_0117 (8/5): Rej makes the place worth it - Another reasonable stay here. Im regular with work. I choose it because of the Beefeater attached to it. The place is always clean and reasonable. Only complaint is that it needs refreshed , the TV isnt great and the shower can randomly skold you. Rej on reception is what ever employee should wanna be he remembers me everytime and is very helpful.
- dalef116 (10/5): Five Stars - Rev was outstanding, he was of great help. He kindly reserved a room for me. Not a lot of people help nowadays. He does. He is hundred percent.
- Adventure20475237887 (8/5): Weekend stay - Nice stay at this hotel for a weekend rave and catch up with some old friends, plenty of parking very cheap which was a bonus big shout out to Reg and all the staff
- Tourist779814 (4/5): Rushed out yet again - Room faultless, lovely welcome. Shame about getting rushed out of our room early by the impatient cleaner earlier than checkout. Not the 1st time its happened either. Makes you feel rushed and not welcome, wont be back
- carolbA2595KW (10/5): Stayed for the boro match - Friendly and polite are room was clean and our evening meal was very good the staff were polite and friendly at breakfast and in the evening
- CathFin5678 (8/5): Good show Middlesbrough - Great breakfast this morning - all served by Jillian who’s an absolute legend. It was busy in the restaurant and she single handedly looked after everyone in there with professionalism and warmth.
The food was great - hot and cold buffet all fresh and tasty.
Thank you Jillian. Xx
- Griffopop (8/5): Premier Inn Middlesbrough - Excellent stay, rooms were exactly what I expected, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Gillian in the restaurant was very busy but still responded to requests promptly and was very friendly
- mickmorant (10/5): This Premier Inn sits in a beautiful location by Furzton Lake - This Premier Inn sits in a beautiful location by Furzton Lake, which is a lovely place for a constitutional walk of an evening.
It has a breakfast room, staffed by the wonderful Sue and Karen, who not only serve up a great breakfast, but do it with a laugh and a smile. A great start to the working day
- emmafW9704AH (10/5): Amazing staff - We had an overall great experience here!
When we first checked in, we were given a room that had a drainage problem producing a really bad smell. When we asked to switch rooms, there was a new boy on reception but he handled it amazingly despite it being his first time and got us a new room which had no issues.
At breakfast on Sunday, there was only 2 kitchen staff running a really busy room. They were so accommodating and we had a great morning, but I don’t think it’s fair for them to be put in that position, running a kitchen and seating people/cleaning tables.
- -gladt0be0ut (10/5): Excellent all round. - Really well situated hotel for city centre but accessed easily from A19/A66.
On site car parking easy to access and pay for (remember to park in a blue bay). All the facilities and comforts associated with Premier Inns with addition of extremely helpful and hard working staff team!
oh and the food was good too.
- F9333EZkatiem (10/5): Great experience! Team work at its best! - Vicky and Kirsty were a great team! The electronic check in systems went down due to an outage in the area just before check in time. This didn’t stop Vicky and Kirsty making every effort to check people in smoothly and quickly! Great customer service received! Will definetly be back! Great value for money and the staff are warm and friendly. X
- Pmagicwales (2/5): Premier Inn Milton Keynes Central (Xscape) - Very dirty hotel which is desperately in need of updating. The attached Beefeater restaurant should be condemed and closed down by the environmental health.
- joeaY839UR (2/5): Premier Inn Furzton Lake is a shabby and dirty Hotel - The hotel was shabby, unclean and generally will benefit from some maintenance and a deep clean.
I found it dirty from entering the hotel to the bedroom which was on the second floor.
There was mould around the bathtub, rust around the soap dispenser, and the room smelt of smoke, and the towels had holes in them
- U3896AWjanetw (10/5): Comfortable Stay and good value - Stayed here for a few nights and had a really good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, exactly what you’d expect from a Premier Inn. The bed was very comfortable, and everything worked as it should.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and check-in/check-out was quick and easy. The location was convenient, with plenty nearby and good transport links.
Overall, a reliable and comfortable stay at a good price. Would happily stay again.
- Y1185TXluket (10/5): Lovely staff - Rej and the rest of the staff were all super kind and helpful, all credit to them! Will be back again next time I am in Milton Keynes
- Anggoraaron123 (10/5): Premier inn stay - 1st time Ive stayed in this premier inn, staff are lovely & friendly, special recognition has to go to Reg who is a ray of sunshine to this place, I know he is the duty manager but in my eyes he should be senior management in this place, he is so friendly to everyone who walks through they doors, nothing is too much bother for him & he even helps with your bags, what an asset he is to the company, premier inn really need to acknowledge him for this. Beefeater is attached to this place, would have been nice to have more of a menu on the continental breakfast but doesnt put you off & the amount of food this place doesnt have for dinner is poor for the company but the staff are extremely nice & friendly, they all have wonderful bubbly characters & even remember your name when staying for a few days, now thats rare, they really make this place & should be rewarded accordingly. This was a pleasant stay & would stay here again.
- Travel04041356195 (10/5): Great experience highly recommend this premium - Booked in online great service five stars to Raj as he’s a top employee I would say in my mind in my opinion friendly helping when booking in always willing to help me
5 stars from Brendon
- davidcN3474GH (10/5): Milton Keynes stop over - A charming little hotel right next to the City Centre and other attractions.
Reg on the reception was an absolute delight, the hotel itself was clean and tidy, nice rooms and a comfortable bed
Nice restaurant next door with a good deal if you are staying at the hotel.
Stop was just right for needs.
- rosspX1961SE (10/5): Always a pleasure with Rej - Have stayed here many times with Work commitments, Always a pleasure to see Rej behind the desk, always happy and helpful, always takes an interest in why I’m here and makes the whole experience more memorable, so many other hotels offer the same dull service being treated as another number.
But Rej makes all the difference and always will go above and beyond in any given situation
- gracemX385YF (10/5): One night business trip - Great stay, great sleep, great breakfast! Jillian was lovely at breakfast. Would stay again. Nice firm bed and clean room
- DJF20 (10/5): We enjoyed our stay at Premier Inn - We enjoyed our stay at Premier Inn. The room was very comfortable (but rather hot at night). The breakfasts were good (we booked a continental breakfast). There was plenty of parking. We did report minor problems with lights, but nothing was done.
- Z726EJemmab (10/5): Emma’s Review - I was served by Raj who gave me exceptional customer service. Extremely friendly, polite, professional, knowledgeable & went above beyond to assistant with any enquire I had. A true credit to your customer company, A star.
- U450DWwesleyh (10/5): Outstanding service from the reception team - During my stay, I was especially impressed by the reception staff Rej , who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. From the moment | arrived, he made me feel welcome and went out of his way to answer my questions, offer local recommendations, and ensure everything ran smoothly. Rej’s professionalism and friendly attitude really stood out and made a big difference to my experience.
It's rare to come across someone who combines efficiency with genuine warmth, and I feel he is a real asset to the hotel.
Thanks to his excellent service, my stay was even more enjoyable-I would definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.
- Departure61851867204 (10/5): Coomer - Arrived late due to traffic. Rej was amzing, very helpful and friendly. Would recommend staying here. Would happily stay here again
- jabbygirl (8/5): Very good premier Inn, friendly and very helpful staff. - Stayed here while visiting Bletchley Park. Lovely hotel and staff very friendly and welcoming. Clean and well kept. Premier inns are very good value and this one was ideal for an overnight stay. Very good breakfast and staff in the restaurant were very helpful, all very well organised. This Premier Inn is in a really lovely lakeside setting. There is a restaurant next door but if you stay here on a Sunday and want food next door you will need to book several days before your stay. We couldn’t get in for a meal until 9.30 pm at the earliest, which was just too late for us so we had to order some food from a local takeaway and have it delivered to the hotel. This was the only negative with our stay, which wasn’t down to the hotel. The restaurant next door was very popular, we did have a drink in there and staff were very good and apologetic that they couldn’t accommodate us. We would stay here again and book to eat next door as soon as we book our room. This is an ideal place if you are visiting Bletchley Park as it’s just a couple of minutes away in the car.
- V7435HCmalcolms (8/5): All round good value - Breakfast is Brilliant, best hotel breakfast we have had!
Staff Sue & Karen were so lovely and friendly as well as really efficient, they made us feel at home
We were a little disappointed with the room, accessible as wife has knee problem, it was quite shabby compared the the previous two times we stayed
Check in stall were very helpful too, and prior to visiting they Answered email queries very promptly
Our third stay and will be back next time in UK. THANKS
- badbears (10/5): Away for a family get together - Very nice hotel clean and tidy staff friendly too.
Surounded by a lake on the grounds.
Fewer down is the main lake for lovely walk
Has eletric chargers on site too very handy if you have a electric car.
Very quite in hotel and foid was nice in the pub with was extra cost
- G5559NCashm (4/5): Very tired hotel - Hotel very tired and the breakfast was very disappointing. We have stayed in several premier inns previously with no issue. I would not go back here until some money has been spent on it. One positive, lovely location.
- yhi904 (10/5): Excellent town centre hotel - Good solid choice of hotel. Friendly staff, great room and excellent Premier Inn breakfast.
Pros:
* Friendly check-in
* Good-sized room
* Fresh coffee
* Fridge
* Comfortable bed and super duvet
* Freeview with all channels
* Plenty of power sockets including both sides of bed and desk
* Good consistent WiFi
* Good sized bathroom with tub and shower
* Great choice of English and Continental breakfast
* Short walk to railway station
Cons:
* No laptop safe in room
* Dinner soul-less and too many unavailable items; I was never asked if I wanted dessert
- D5918IOtinac (2/5): Follow other reviews, they are there to advise you - As other reviews had said this Premier is tired and needs updating, hence cleaning staff don't care. Our first room hadn't been hoovered , litter under the bed when I sat on chair to remove shoes. We were moved rooms by helpful receptionist.
Unfortunately at breakfast I sat in full view of the kitchen and was able to watch a member of staff wiping everything with the same tea towel, and I mean everything!!
Such a pity because we always stay at a Premier and tell everyone they are great and I always put up positive reviews.
- PaulP5160 (8/5): Night in MK - Good setting, hotel is as expected and hungry horse is handy, fountain is actually annoying and was nice when it was turned off. Bar was clean and service was happy enough, and drinks and food were good for the price paid, quite a big choice and possibly not the greatest but you get what you pay for, £8 for a curry, bargain
- Castleguy (2/5): Tired, dirty and uninterested staff - AVOID THIS HOTEL - TIRED UNCLEAN & POOR SERVICE -
Uninterested Staff - Breakfast a shambles - Room 131 scruffy and dirty with two interconnecting doors so you can hear other guests all night - an unmade single bed in the room pushed against one of the doors as the door handle looked broken !!
- petermR2538IO (6/5): Ok for a very short stay - Ok for a very short visit, very little acknowledgement with the staff
The continental breakfast was disappointing when I asked if certain items could be topped up I was answered with a shrug of the shoulder.
- Goss7 (4/5): DONT waste money on Breakfast - Oh dear DONT waste your money on Breakfast Arrived. For breakfast 9:30 . Already out of items
Pastries
Cranberry Juice
Brown bread
Crumpets
Hash browns
Eggs Hard
Sausages only warm
Bacon Greasy
Staff invisible
Extremely poor value , go somewhere else . Not impressed with the whole experience . Who knows what good will be left for those customers who came after us
- T6087JSdavidt (4/5): The room didn't feel clean - The room was dusty and dirty in places. The breakfast was a bit chaotic. Needs more attention to detail. A very dusty fan and dusty skirting boards in the bathroom. Stains on the wall, etc.
The staff clearly struggled with the number of people using the small dining room at breakfast time, especially as the one coffee machine had a fault. The room felt dated.
I'm not sure why the cleaners needed a loud radio while they cleaned in the morning, as it clearly would have disturbed those still in bed on a Sunday morning.
The bedding seemed clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower kept changing temperature.
- 3lisp (6/5): Needs a refurbishment but staff are great and mean we would recommend, as really convenient to visit Bletchley Park - On arrival we discovered there is no lift (oversight/mistake on our part) and had booked 2 rooms with view over lake, which were on 3rd floor. Reception were quickly able to swap 1 room for ground floor as 1 in party is unable to climb stairs. The room looked out over the ponds and fountain, which was still a nice view.
Overall this hotel is in need of refurbishment. In the communal areas the carpets are worn, paint is chipped and dirty and it generally feels tired.
The room on ground floor needs some tlc. Again carpet is worn in high footfall areas. There is mould around window and again paintwork needs refreshing. In the bathroom there is mould on ceiling and the grout around bath/shower tiles is black. Mastic around bath appears to have been done recently as it was white with no black/ mouldy areas.
All the staff we had contact with were great. Really friendly, polite and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. They all appeared happy in their work which was lovely to see.
Had breakfast both mornings we were there. I'm not a fan of precooked food being kept warm, however the ladies who worked in the breakfast room cooked small amounts regularly and it was good to eat. Also cooked boiled eggs freshly when asked.
We enjoyed our stay and it was a convenient place to stay when visiting Bletchley Park and would stay again if we come back
- U3409EImuhammads (10/5): Good value for money. Comfort n luxury - Short stay..every thing amazing. Always preffer to stay with them. Good range of breakfast. Also fan n sheets provided as it was hot.
- Companion581874 (6/5): Okay for a room - Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and bed. Down side outside of the building was egged, rats outside building in the morning and the car park is a extra £8 a night
- P6530JWmatthewc (10/5): Night before the race 🏁 - Went here prior to participating in the British 24 hours at Teesside Autodrome. Was ideal, good rooms, good food and friendly staff. Many thanks.
- 700nikf (2/5): Poor - Windows don't open so years of dust in room, disgusting. Beds v uncomfortable. Ended up leaving early as couldnt stay another night.
