Guest Reviews
- MrsDBEssex (10/5): Top Premier Inn - Overall a great stay, room was lovely, clean, comfortable and had a lovely view. We are in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast and was happy with both.
- X3305EHmatte (10/5): Excellent Check In - Really good check in experience - arrived early with my partner on a Sunday to be greeted by Karen who was wonderfully helpful and efficient. Nice and easy for a Sunday.

- mariamW8912FC (10/5): A nice place to stay at - Nice people, hotel’s location very convenient for Kingston.
Premier plus rooms worth the hype😉😉
Very comfortable either for one or two persons!!
- cristinagapuz (10/5): Excellent service - Amazing location, clean rooms, very friendly staff marlon, karen, angelou, jay bryan, and niel i always stay in this hotel everytime im here great service...
- Escape06549237808 (10/5): My Stay - My experience has been always amazing and tonight is no different. The staff have been helpful on my check in and the room is always exceptional.
- 115ehsanz (10/5): Fantastic - We visited last Monday and everything was amazing. Chef Ardy made delicious hot food and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!
- caroleparrett (6/5): Worst ever Brewers Fayre - We stay at premier inns quite often on our travels but this is one we will not stop at again. This is a little unfair really as there was nothing wrong with the actual hotel. The rooms were clean, modern and roomy. The staff were friendly and helpful, our problem was with The Brewers Fayre.
We booked a table earlier and when the time came we went and joined a queue at the desk to give our room number and get a table. They were so understaffed that we actually stood there for a good ten minutes before anyone came. We were then sent to a table by an ill fitting window on an exceptionally cold night and both felt very shivery and uncomfortable. The lack lustre staff did not try and find us anywhere else. I can somewhat understand their attitude as they were all under a lot of pressure as the staff numbers as aforementioned, were few. However, when you are dealing with the general public surely you should at least try to be helpful and cheerful.
Then our food came out, which was well below par. I ordered Katsu curry, it was the same chicken goujons as the starter, put on top of rice, with sauce and a few onions. It was obviously microwaved, the rice nearest the chicken was warm but underneath it was absolutely cold. My husband had cottage pie, which was burnt on the bottom. We are not moaners and as I said earlier, we stay at premiers quite often and have the meal deals but have never experienced anything quite like this before. I suppose if you are visiting Kings Lynn, I would suggest stay at the premier but find somewhere else to eat. I also suggest that more staff are employed in the Brewers Fayre and then perhaps there would be happier staff and customers that could experience customer satisfaction.
- shawshank78 (10/5): Great Premier Inn and staff - Convenient location and helpful staff especially Karen on reception, I would highly recommend and stay again in the future.
- RichardJac0b (6/5): Not at the standard of previous Premier Inns that we have stayed at. - Pretty much what you would expect from Premier Inn: Clean, spacious comfortable room. Parking readily available in a substantial car park, with electric vehicle charging points on site. However, the Brewers Fayre where meals were served was well below par. There were clearly insufficient numbers of staff on shift, and although they did their best, they were clearly struggling. Delays in waiting for food items to be replenished at Breakfast, and both Coffee machines were either not working or needed to be refilled. The problems were exacerbated by non-residents also attending for breakfast, putting further pressure on the already stretched staff.
- peterhK5270OT (4/5): not good - Really surprised how bad this was
Room tired bed hard pillows flat , bathroom extractor fan full of dust and not working
Evening meal service very slow Morning breakfast service all over the place missing food items from the full breakfast menu dirty cups underwhelming choice on the continental selection,
No lifts in our section of the hotel
£14 pound charge for overnight parking !!
- AndyMor71 (8/5): A nice stay, excellent reception staff - Visited in mid- November for a 3-day business trip.
Greeted by Dom on reception, who was a star throughout our stay - friendly and helpful, a credit to Premier Inn.
Had meal deals at the neighbouring Brewer’s Fayre. Evening meals were good, wide selection of food available, all good quality, generally good service. Breakfast was a bit regimented - got a bit fed up of being herded to particular seating areas in a large restaurant, seemingly just for the staff’s convenience. Breakfast selection generally good.
- A8590LPdanielw (8/5): Business trip - Andrea at reception and restaurant was outstanding a really lovely and tentative worker. Hotel was good and clean. I would come back.
- jiayingl2022 (10/5): Accommodating and Understanding - The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk away from Kingston station, which itself has many shops and restaurants around. The room itself was clean, tidy, and relatively modern.
What impressed me the most was the front staff (Andreina and her manager) who were very accommodating and understanding to my situation.
I had elderly relatives arriving a day later after a long haul flight. I had wanted to add on early check-in for them and this was when I realised that there were issues with their bookings. This was also during a busy period due to ongoing games around the area. Despite this, Andreina reassured me that they would place a note on their booking, look into the issues and resolve them, as well as accommodate the requests.
Throughout my interaction, Andreina was commited to helping me sort the logistics of the stay as well. She helped navigate the issues that arose and we were able to come up with a plan that left me feeling satisfied and reassured.
Given this experience, I would stay at the Premier inn if ever I was in the area the next time as I know that I would be well taken care of by the staff.
- 766tanayak (10/5): Fabulous experience 🙃💝 loved Hotel Premier Inn - Lovely experience at Premier Inn Hotel with wonderful view of window 🪟😍 & good rooms, breakfast & friendly, supportive staff 🤗🍀
- Flyer718612 (10/5): A friendly and comfortable place to stay - We found this place to have very friendly and helpful staff, it's clean, comfortable, ideally situated for the town, car park is small but there are lots of nearby places to park.
Couldn't fault the restaurant, food was excellent, good prices and lovely staff creating a homely atmosphere.
We've stayed at many places in Kendal but the premier inn is somewhere we will stay again.
- potterstephen40 (10/5): Relaxing stay in Kings Lynn - This was our third visit to this very conveniently located hotel. The next generation rooms are a noticeable improvement on an already good room design. We had one of the premier plus rooms, with a walk in shower bathroom and comfy lounge chairs as well as a very comfy bed. Really quiet and restful. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
- simong182 (8/5): A good Premier Inn - One of the nicest Premier Inns I have stayed in. Quiet comfy room that looked to have been recently refurbished.
It is a little way from Kings Lynn centre but it's a nice walk along the bank of the Great OUse.
- robertjR2983VG (2/5): Old tatty and overpriced, seen better days and the car park is a fiasco! - The hotel is tatty and in desperate need of renovation, the bathroom sink was cracked, there was graffiti on the wall and the furniture was either broken or very old and worn. There was only one lift working so unless you were happy to wait 10mins you had to use the stairs, 3 flights up to get to reception. The car park discounted rate works on you getting your ticket validated at reception., this didn't work so I had to take 3 separate trips back and forth to try and get this sorted which with the lift situation took me 30mins. It still didn't validate so I had to pay full price! The staff weren't helpful and just said I would need to call the NCP, which I did, over an hour of being on hold for them to say I will need to go to there website and download a refund request, for which I will need my ticket number, the one I had to feed into the machine to exit with!!! Overall I though the area was nice, not the location of the.premier inn bit the town itself. It isn't very often I stay at a premier inn and be disappointed but I would not recommend this one!
- jackdouglas7 (8/5): Refurbishment standard rooms - Bad point.
Lovely new rooms, following refurbishment but NO DESK just small round table. Most occupants midweek are workers who often need a desk to do reports etc.
Good points.
Great staff as normal.
Car parking free, unlike some Premier inns.
Proper pub and restaurant, not like the soulless Premier Inn restaurants.
All in all it does the job.
Keep the pub and restaurant and put back a decent table.
- joannesG3572AL (4/5): Disappointing weekend - We had no heating in the room. Spoke to reception on 1st night. They couldn't rectify it. They just offered a free breakfast. They told us maintenance would sort it the following day. When we returned the following evening around 9pm ish. It still hadn't been rectified the room was still very cold. Yet again my husband went to reception where he was told maintenance don't work weekends. The receptionist then offered another room or we could have heaters
- 637andyt (4/5): Room issues, falls well short of corporate minimum standards - Kendal Premier Plus rooms 224 x generally very worn with little sign of ongoing maintenance, tv not working, towel door hooks pulled off wall etc. room 225, well where to start…carpets stained and dirty, I kept my shoes on. Comfy room chair missing, just a small foot stall in corner of the room, desk chair missing, had been replaced with a very old, stains black office chair, presumably from the hotel reception are. Generally a very very tired room. I soon realised why there were signs of long term black mold around the shower tray, the bathroom extractor fan was 90% locked by fluff and dusk, I removed a lot from the extractor so at least the damp air was being removed,
(Pic attached after my cleaning) not something I would expect to need to do. That bed, very surprisingly for Premier Inn, was not the best. Generally maintenance seem to be a very big ongoing issue with this hotel. We were not by any means the only people with problems.
Though I must say that the 2 staff members, who were covering the restaurant, reception and the whole hotel were excellent and very hard working, it’s a shame they were so let down by their corporation employer.
I have in the last year stayed at close to a dozen Premier Inns across the Uk. This hotel rooms were most definitely NOT up to the basic standards of the Premier Inns corporate standards, and as confirmed by the hotel staff not fit to rent…. Notes to this has been added by the hotel staff onto their company computer system.
Line most British people, I really don’t like to complain, but this needed to be said…..
I’m keenly awaiting a response from Premier Inn he’d office, but I won’t hold my breath.
- chrismhYorkshire (10/5): Brilliant staff - Brilliant staff, really helpful and lovely clean hotel in a convenient location with good value evening meal and breakfast.
- digitaljess (4/5): Never again - NEVER AGAIN - far short of the usual Premier Inn standards
1037225306
We are usually very happy with a Premier Inn, as you cannot usually go wrong - or so I thought until I stayed here. NEVER AGAIN.
+ Good location
+ Spacious family room
+ Usual comfortable beds.
- Terrible entrance with open access from street level into the lifts. My family (including a 4 and 6 year old) saw DRUG ADDICTS going in and out of the Premier Inn lift. When we complained the next morning, we were told that the lift doesn't allow access for outsiders beyond reception - like that is ok then...
-Awful breakfast. No eggs. No tomatoes. No mushrooms. No plates. No knives. No milk in coffee machine. And even after going back several times to ask.
- Shabby rooms - dirty carpet, peeling paint.
I would not dare return
- Z4481QYrebeccam (4/5): Breakfast? What breakfast? - We stayed one night here in a family room with breakfast at a cost of £10.99 per head as well! A real treat as seeing elderly parents
When got down to restaurant after waiting AGES for a lift as one was out of order so only had one servicing the area. To be met with complete disarray.
We found a table full of previous diners. Had to ask a member of staff to clear away
Went to get breakfast and there was NOTHING other than mushrooms available!
We had to wait well over 20 minutes before any hot food arrived but due to queue by the time we got there, there were 2 sausages one fried egg and a tiny piece of bacon left!
My daughter gave up and wanted cereal but then we were told there was NO milk!!!!
She then said I will just have a croissant, NONE available
We finally sat down and found ONE knife and ONE fork on the table so went walking around the restaurant for some more to no avail! We had to SHARE our cutlery!!!!!
We gave up in the end and went to mcdonalds around the corner for breakfast of which I strongly advise any future visitors to do. £10.99 each over £20 for one sausage one fried egg a slice of toast with NO butter, and a black coffee!!! Absolutely disgusted!!!!
- G724JOashleyp (10/5): Close to Bushy Park and Richmond Park - A great place to stay for us as we were between Bushy Park and Richmond Park where we were visiting for the first time. This location was right between them both. A big NCP car park a few steps next door to them which was convenient. The staff were all very helpful and happy there and nothing was too much trouble. Our room on the 6th floor was very quiet and peaceful and we had a good sleep. Had all the things we needed and was clean and tidy on arrival.
- F8162HHroyr (2/5): Kendel awful awful awful 😞 - Arrived with no one on desk. I had to hunt around pub for reception staff. She said use desk button which was up high and no sign on desk to say ring bell. Had night of people stomping upstairs so very broken sleep. I thought ok nice break fast to look forward to but no. Only 2 eggs and 2 hash browns out. Stood for 15 mins with a plate in my hand . Restaurant was not even busy. Mess everywhere. Bar filled with dirty food plates . Hash browns on the door. I told staff who did not tidy but just walked past mess. Was asked to sit down and they will give me a shout. 15 mins later still no word. Eventually got some hot food and when leaving still hash browns left on floor need food cart and lots of dirty table and plates everywhere. After this room key stopped working.... Rang complaints line we can give you a 10 pound refund on your £120 stay........ Don't think I'll every recommend to anyone ever again
- ellafG6494YL (2/5): Do not park in NCP FAIRFIELD carpark - Hotel is what you expect for a Premier Inn. Good sized family room, clean, centrally located. We travelled to the hotel in a EV family sized car, we checked the premier inn website for carpark facilities. No carpark on site but premier inn recommend the NCP FAIRFIELD, which is located next door to the hotel.
EV facilities were not working.
Car park spaces are extremely tight. Due to the sharp corners and high kerbs, when driving up and down the different levels it caused lots of damage to our wheels.
Do not park if you have a family sized car!
- stefanmH3899KY (10/5): Thank you Premier in Kingston - We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Premier Inn Kingston The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious and clean, and the view of the city from our window was a highlight. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with a great variety of options. The only small drawback was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, but it wasn't a major issue and the overall experience was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!"
Thank you
Ioana
- Bradley (10/5): - Nice place
- theworld (4/5): Relaxing but some issues - Stayed one night
Given a good view room of park
Lift only went one floor then had to walk stairs to second floor, strange layout.
Air con heating wasn’t working
No phone in room for reception
Went to reception and was given a room heater
Was ok
Kept room warm.
Everything else in room good.
The shower had some basic and poor cleaning issues, both shower heads were covered in black bacteria !! Horrid
Had a nail brush and scrubbed one of shower heads in less then a minute,
So unhygienic and dirty.
- diagonalstripes (10/5): Big rooms! - I stayed over one night for a work trip in a premier plus room. The room was much bigger than I expected for a premier Inn and had everything I needed. I checked in via the screens so did not have much interaction with the staff as the check in area was quite busy, but I was very pleased with the room. Despite my good experience I would probably not have the breakfast again; this was at the brewers fayre opposite and was quite disappointing. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would return.
- davidvY6791WG (10/5): Kendal Cumbria - Great place to stay. Central location, adequate parking although you have to ppay extra for this. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, Reasonably priced
- 236malcolmh (10/5): Reception - Millie and Christine on reception are the best. Restaurant gets quiet busy so make sure you book at reception on arrival.
- PipsTrips (2/5): Bad night's sleep due to incessant fan whirring noise. Cold breakfast. - Stayed here for one night in Room 150 - very glad it was a one night only stay as there was an incessant fan whirring noise inside our room. No idea what it was - not the bathroom fan but coming from above a ceiling tile by the door. The toilet seat did not fit - please see photo. Uncomfortable and unhygienic! Room 150 is in an annexe and the window was covered by bushes outside so opened only on peril of insects coming into the room.
The cooked breakfast buffet food the next morning was cold and the plates were also cold. We complained and were asked to wait 10 minutes while a whole new breakfast buffet was prepared. We did wait but the replacement was also not exactly warm and the plates were still cold. Sadie, a waitress in the restaurant was helpful in initiating a refund for this. Thank you, Sadie.
- 570binyamw (10/5): Five star service - I want to thank all staff members for kind and friendly service I received in my stay.
Excellent hospitality, good food, close to my work.
Thank you all.
- Tour42319138401 (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - I am currently writing this review from a Premier Plus Room at the Kendal Premier Inn. We are part way through a 3 night stay.
My wife and I have stayed in many Premier Inn hotels (plus multiple other brands) across the UK and never have we experienced such a disastrous stay than at Kendal.
We are reasonable in what we expect, but this stay has fallen far short of that. On arrival and check in, it was clear the staff had no idea at all which rooms had been cleaned, with them having to physically check several rooms first to determine where to place us.
We have an included coffee machine with the Premier Plus room, which was missing on arrival. When we raised this and a coffee machine was sourced from elsewhere, we were advised replacement pods were available. We have since asked for replacement pods to be told there are none.
The air conditioning / heating is not working, meaning the room is stuffy.
The bathroom sink is blocked and it is clear it has not been cleaned for months. The cleanliness of the hotel in general leaves a lot to be desired.
We have asked for our room to be cleaned, however this has been ignored.
We were encouraged by staff to obtain a refund for our meal deal, citing restaurant issues including a lack of ingredients. We opted for this but were given a complimentary breakfast. We have attended breakfast to find no plates, hot breakfast items that were in fact stone cold along with dirty cups and a sticky floor.
We have decided to eat elsewhere and await our refund.
For anyone considering booking this hotel, I advise against it.
This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered and it is a disgrace to the local area to expect guests to accept the standards in this property. The management should be ashamed.
- G40GBwayneh (8/5): An experience with great ending - A few issues arose but they were dealt with quickly efficiently by Christine with a permanent genuine smile ..premier in should be proud to have such hard working and kind staff
- Brizzle1973 (6/5): OK if you need to stay here, dont use the restaurant. Staff are the only saving grace - Its not often I write reviews for work travel but this was a 4 night stay which included the meal deal & Premier Plus Room.
First night the AC didnt work and the room was musty and damp smelling, the window barely opened. There was no water or snacks (despite being a benefit of premier plus room). There was the promised coffee machine but no pods. The shower was dirty and had hairs everywhere. You had to keep asking for the Ultimate wifi password as it was only valid 1 day and not the duration of your stay. I was promised a move the next day as no available rooms.
Asked about Dinner as there are signs every where saying you need to book and despite arriving early, the earliest dinner time was 8pm which I did. Initially presented with a list of what is not available along with most drinks were unavailable (they dont have anything on tap, its all cans) ended up having a coke as that was literally all they had.
Food was nice, tasty and hot.
Breakfast at 6.30 was ok, again you had to book a time slot and hot food was prepared on order which was ok, its better than sitting under a lamp for a while getting cold. Food arrived quick.
On leaving for work for the day, tried to book into the restaurant that night and the earliest time slot was 8.30 and said dont bother, I dont want to eat just before going to bed and the meal deal that day was refunded. I tried to book for breakfast the next day and earliest they had was 7.30, I had to leave at 7 so that wouldnt work and again that was refunded. Tried to book for the next night in the restaurant and was told the sheet isnt available yet and to try later.
Whilst out my room was moved as promised and the staff moved all my stuff for me. Tried to book for the next night in the restaurant and again earliest they had was 8pm and insisted now the meal deal is removed and refunded as it was clear it wouldnt used.
The new room had AC and an opening window which was great but no coffee machine, water but did have snacks. I still enjoyed the room but there appears to be no cosistency across the premier plus rooms despite all of them having the "whats included leaflet" in each room. I think the staff should read this to see what the room should have.
I would not recommend this hotel if you want food in the onsite restaurant. There are other eateries near by including a Wetherspoons and local pubs, Mcdondalds and local non chain cafes.
On the plus side of this hotel most the staff I encountered were amazing espcially Mia (I think that was her name) who were always helpful covering reception and the restaunrant, it didnt impact service. One lady who seemed to cover the restaurant when I was there for breakfast thought it was appropriate to moan about the cleaning staff and the fact the rota had not been sent through and said how bad they were, she also didnt know how to speak to guests when placing orders it was like you had to guess what was availanle she didnt say thank you or anything - maybe mornings isnt her thing!
Overall, the hotel is ok, I wouldnt recommend it unless you needed to stay here but most the staff were great.
- 361LesleyB361 (8/5): No plug in the washbasin - We use this hotel regularly, it is a great stop off point when driving into Norfolk or Suffolk and we will no doubt carry on using it. All Premier Inn disabled rooms are a good size for our wheelchair. This hotel has not been improved, though, by it's upgrade. Check in is was chaotic when we were there recently and very strangely they no longer have a plug in the washbasin. This is just in the disabled rooms, I was told. So if you want to wash at the basin in your disabled room you may want to purchase a universal plug before your visit here.
- michaelwW6455SF (10/5): Looking for a great holiday base ? - Friendly and Efficient Personnel - Excellent Service, a well designed and freshly decorated room and a very comfortable bed.
- veronica (8/5): - Did not like the restaurant set up. Not suitable for invalids or handicapped. Had to walk outside.
- davidyZ9412GD (6/5): Nice hotel though a bit pricey - Very welcoming, friendly and hard working staff. No racism whatsoever. Nicely presented, quiet hotel. Some mold in our bathroom, otherwise a clean bedroom.
- Dajtrav (8/5): Good hotel - Comfortable, clean and conveniently located for us. Upgraded to Premier Plus room which was definitely worth it for us. We did not use the restaurant.
- Swfc47 (6/5): Safe basic no frills hotel - Been before nothing special one mile from train station
The basics were nit even working
2light bulb in bathroom and has no air-con but safe place
- Berberhoekstra44 (4/5): Poor! - We had booked *eight rooms* in total and paid *£15 for an early check-in* for one of those rooms. Despite this, we were told to come back at *3:00 PM*. When we arrived at that time, there was already a *long queue of at least 30 people*, and the lobby was *uncomfortably hot*.
We had to *wait over 1.5 hours*, and even then our rooms were not ready. It took *another 30 minutes* before we could access them. This was incredibly frustrating and not the service we expect from Premier Inn.
We are *loyal customers* and usually enjoy our stays with Premier Inn. However, this experience was disappointing and unacceptable. We respectfully request *a refund for the early check-in fee* and *appropriate compensation* for the inconvenience experienced by our entire group.
- nl979 (10/5): Super break at Lynn - Been to many Premier Inns. Here we stayed for four nights. Apart from the usual lovely bed, the Brewers Fayre staff were excellent. I can remember Clair, Gilly and I think Chloe who were exceptional. What I liked was that they were always looking for tables to clear, buffet to replenish and unfailing polite and friendly and worked together as a team. additionally, the hot food was hot!! All in all a very enjoyable experience for the four of us. Well done.
- Fonkey (4/5): The Fawlty Towers of Premier Inns - Where to start - room dusty, no hairdryer or spare pillows. Breakfast a farce as missing a staff member (no contingency plan). Coffee machine off for half an hour for cleaning, no cutlery, plates kept running out. I felt sorry for the staff, putting different hats on every 2 minutes but such a poor customer experience. Feels like the company is cutting costs by cutting hours and it’s the staff and customers who suffer. PI used to be consistent quality and my go-to but not anymore. Profits before customers.
- abbyhC239WW (10/5): Such lovely staff. Super clean and comfy ❤️ - What lovely staff at this premier inn. All of them!! Not only was our stay so lovely, super clean, beds so comfy but I left my handbag there. Called expecting it to have disappeared like it has in the past, they found it, packaged it up for me to be collected by royal mail. So very grateful as it had my medication in there. Thanks again ❤️
- N9994NPmelissad (2/5): Can't check in at 3pm - So bad! Check in was a nightmare, we arrived at 3:20, the reception was packed with people, we tried to use the digital check in boards, it popped up "ops something went wrong" found a lady to help, she was very blazé and said "Just means your room isn't ready yet." We said, Erm we've just done a four hour drive, we have a taxi due to collect us at 4:45 and we both need to shower. She said "Queue over there we'll try and get you another room." 20 minutes later we finally got to the front of the queue, the lady then had a conversation with another member of staff (whilst we waited in front of her) took down our surname incorrectly (twice - she was clearly not concentrating) and then moved our room to one that was ready. Because our room had been swapped we weren't able to put our registration number into the parking board, she took down our reg and said she would do it "When I get five minutes". We left it with her. When we got back to the hotel at midnight and my husband said, lets just enter our reg now just to make sure. We put our reg into the board and it almost instantly sent me an email confirming our parking had been added - I hadn't received that email before so clearly the lady hadn't completed that process as she said she would (unsurprising as she wrote it on a post it note and the desk was a mess).
- 832hazelc (2/5): Very very poor - When we got to the room there was a hole in the wall cob webs on the lights couldn't see out the window so dirty 1 chair to sit on the whole place not clean paid for full English breakfast no hot food very very poor would definitely not recomend staying here.
- 35Michaelbrookes (10/5): Very good staff member - We had our evening meal in the brewers fayre next to hotel. For some reason I paid for our evening meal when I had a meal deal booked. I went to a member of staff who I think she was the manager, she wore glasses. It was no trouble for her refund me what I mistakenly paid out. She was extremely efficient and friendly which are two qualities I appreciate. Just wish I got her name. Brilliant service.
- 910heatherl (2/5): Avoid - Thursday 28th August. We arrived for our payed early check-in at around 1pm , my partner was greeted by a rude female member of staff on reception while I used the toilet, she told him we can't check in until 3pm, but never apologised when I arrived told her our booking information. I asked her was everything OK and she said would I be ok if I had to work while sick, I just wanted to get in our room at this Point. I requested to be booked in for 6pm dinner and 8am breakfast for the following day.
6pm comes we go to dinner and the young lady said our room number 11 isn't down for a booking, she managed to still sit us down but again, not a great start to our 1st night out of 3. The food in the evening was absolutely shocking, did not get asked is everythingok with the food, breakfast was edible.
Friday. Day two we where struggling to cool down our room as the air-conditioning heating system was stuck on temperature 25 it would no go any cooler at all and our window was a sealed window it did not open, we asked reception for help with air con and they offered us a fan to be brought to the room. We waited over an hour to the point I had to personally to reception to collect it myself then carry it back.
Saturday. I asked Christine to book 9am for Sunday morning breakfast. Then we went out for most of the morning, when we got back after lunch time I asked Christine on reception is there nothing else you can do to cool down our room as the fan is just blowing hot air around. She told us it will be cool soon just give it time to set in. The heat in the room was stifling and did not change. I phoned reception and she told us the system was broken, they moved us to room 110 on the 1st floor, even though it was a family room we did not have a bath and the tv was set to blind tv, took a while to fix. I returned the room 11 key back and just to make sure breakfast was still booked I asked, has the room number for breakfast been changed, then told breakfast was not booked for Sunday, I was just fed up at this point. We will never return to this particular branch.
- Funnyfemme (4/5): Overpriced and dissapounting - Very disappointed. No air con . Awful microwave food at the onsite pub and really difficult to get a taxi to and from there due to concerts held at the same time in Sandringham . Very dissatisfied and not with the cost
- Go68116018233 (8/5): Great location - Good location. Near the center of kendal and close to bus and train stations. We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Unfortunately there were staff shortages while we were there. In the hotel and restaurant. Causing check in delays and had to keep asking and waiting for cups plates andfood to be replenished in the restaurant. Inspite of this the staff on duty where very friendly and helpful. One member of staff (Christine) was excellent. She was a jack of all trades. Cleaner receptionist and waitress etc We think if it hadn't have been for her at times the place would have crumbled. Even under pressure she was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She deserved a medal 🏅
- Vishnee (8/5): Good for travelling to different locations - Good location and plenty of parking. The restaurant was fine, and there was a good deal for breakfast and dinner.
The hotel is split into two buildings, so make sure you let them know you want rooms in the same building if you are booking multiple rooms.
- melissamE6162IT (10/5): First time staying and it was a very comfortable stay. - This was my first time staying with Premier Inn and the service was very professional from start to finish. The lady who checked me in was very kind and the room was very decent in size and had all the amenities needed for an overnight stay. The bathroom had a full size bath and mood lighting which was warmly welcome after a very long and stressful day.
- kjled6 (8/5): Nice quiet location - Lovely quiet hotel and great location right by the town centre. Staff very friendly and super helpful. Parking is £7.00 for 24 hours for hotel guests. Rooms are a good size and have air con you can control.
- BlueTraveler30 (6/5): More Division One than Premier! - The hotel is not central to Kings Lynn and it about a 20 min walk into town. The hotel does not have air conditioning and it’s a tough stay in a hot summer. Room was clean and ok. Breakfast well delivered in the morning.
