Guest Reviews
- C3288OBjohnm (10/5): Liverpool north awesome - Warm welcome when we arrived clean and tidy bed and room very cosy 100%will go again looking to return with our son to visit the anfield football ball stadium
- Tudorek (10/5): Brilliant, just brilliant and excellent value too! - I arrived after jet lag and a tiresome drive at 12.30 on a rainy Friday afternoon . The gentleman at reception was attentive and kind, finding me an early room with the minimum of fuss.
Registration for parking was simple and quick with contactless payment.
I got a room on the first floor facing the car park : which is the side you want: it is silent and has a view of the hill and greenery in front of the hotel - not of the parked cars.
Thd bathroom was bath/ shower - I had baths : good size - I am 6 ft 2.. great bathroom - v. clean.
All the staff were chatty and clearly made a great team. V. Impressive and pleasant.
The bed was as always, just great. The breakfast next door was hot and to the usual premier inn standard.
The receptionist did his level best to call me a taxi, when he could have just said "there's the freephone... '
Simply the best Premier Inn I've ever stayed at , and that's more than a few.
All of the staff are to be commended.
Thank you from the guest at Room 40.
- stevenmW877EW (10/5): Weekend stay with my little boy - Hotel room and service was excellent, although hotel doesn’t look great outside it was a pleasure to stay at.
I’d happily stay there again
- mark (10/5): - Mycket trevliga personal. Värt pengarna.
- 483melanieh (8/5): Clean, tidy and friendly staff - We stayed here for the first time tonight. Good parking (you have to pay but it was only £5 for overnight)
The reception staff were lovely, very bubbly and friendly
The room and en-suite, very clean and a super comfortable bed. The rooms are very basic but it was fine for the night
Bit far out from city centre but otherwise good and would recommend
- philipcJ7021GR (10/5): Nice stay - Great location for my trip clean tidy room good breakfast next door staff were brilliant and friendly no stairs for my room which I loved
- RobertaE_12 (8/5): Friendly staff, clean and comfortable, not good if people in adjacent rooms are noisy - The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was good. The whole place needs a freshen up and on our last night we had a noisy person in the room above and despite us asking for the staff three times to ask them to be quiet nothing was done which was very annoying, as we had 9 hours of stomping through the ceiling. Very disappointing as we really found the place satisfactory until then.
- 16jackiej (6/5): Average Stay - Average Premier Inn. The pub attached was friendly enough but was very tired in appearance. Wouldn’t stay there again.
- robertsD3582IP (8/5): Overall a worthwhile experience - Overall a worthwhile experience. Clean rooms. Staff very friendly, cooperative and efficient and always on hand. Food in Brewer's Fayre generally totally acceptable and varied but on one night an almost inedible fishcake and on another no fish or prawns at all. This is totally unacceptable. However as always the breakfast of a high standard as usual in a Premier Inn.
- JANETDENISE (6/5): Unwelcoming - Rooms excellent. Cleaning good.
Insufficient Bluebadge parking outside.
When we mentioned to the male receptionist a car using a Bluebadge space without a Bluebadge he didn't give a toss. Inspite of a poster saying report misuse issued by premierinn.
Bluebadges are not frivolous they are an important item for customers with Disabilities.
He made me feel unwelcome.
- leev924 (10/5): Great place - Great place great atmosphere and food was delicious was served by Gail she was lovely and good staff too highly recommend
- jeremysP221KK (10/5): Amazing Customer Service - I would like to commend Luke who was brilliant this evening when my father had a fall in the Brewers Fayre and he found my parents a room downstairs and gave them full attention a credit to Premier inn as are the rest of the team thank you
- jantO4996YE (6/5): Staff helpful, kind and accommodating. The low bed said to be wheelchair accessible but poor mattress and small bed. - We stayed at the Premier Inn as a choice to gain access to a good room, lovely bed and restaurant facilities close by. The car parking is very good for disabled people although noted there is now a charge. The room was average but the disabled bathroom seemed quite well planned. However, the same could not be said about the bed. In the descriptor there was no mention that either the bed was low for wheelchair access or that it was just a double bed in this day and age. The mattress had collapsed on both sides of the bed making it very uncomfortable to sleep in and creating back issues the next day. Why are disabled people not entitled to the same sized bed and quality mattress as other rooms in the hotel as we later found out in our transfer? The room could have accommodated a larger bed. Why was the mattress that Premier Inn prides itself in and actually advertises its mattress for sale to customer homes when they can’t provide that quality of mattress in their accessible rooms? Very disappointing. It required us to move to a room designed for general use. However, the shower facility and bath were inaccessible to us but meant at least we got a good nights sleep in a king sized bed with quality mattress. Astonishing that whilst advertising accessible rooms no mention is made of the height of the bed or bed size. In actual fact this room was better to accommodate a single person in a wheelchair rather than a couple. Really if you want an accessible room I am not sure the Premier Inn can claim it provides this. All I can say is that the staff were really helpful and kind and were able to provide a room transfer the following day.
.
- L6876NVjol (2/5): Good night's sleep is NOT guaranteed!!! - Awful nights sleep due to noise from above room. Complained to reception but they couldn't resolve issue or move us. Good night's sleep guarantee is NOT guaranteed!!! Not the most welcoming first impression when checking in as staff member made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. Room felt damp. Bathroom smelled damp. Would not recommend.
- tinawI224DS (4/5): Basic premier inn - Chair and pillows badly stained. Holes in towels
There was no privacy screen so when lights on the street traffic other rooms and people in car park could see in room
- ethanwA7225RQ (10/5): amazing service - amazing service from a beautiful girl called kiah will 100% be coming back for some more food and a stay recommend if your coming down
- tintin16240 (10/5): Friendly helpful staff. Clean and tidy. - We had two rooms. We were greeted by Luke on reception who was extremely helpful and friendly. We saw him several times through the day and each time was the same. We also had a drink in the bar with two very nice ladies, one of which we found out was Lukes wife. To crown it off the ladies helping with breakfast were also fab.
- Alfredo Hipolito (8/5): - Fácil acesso, restaurantes do lado
- 794derekw (10/5): Great Stay - Thanks Llandudno Junction. - We took advantage of an offer that included free breakfast. Spent two nights at Llandudno Junction.
Staff friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast on both days was really good and staff so helpful and friendly. I love my porridge usually feel a bit uneasy asking for it but it was brought quickly and with a smile
each time.
As we were leaving the young woman cleaning a room asked us if we needed a hand with our luggage and
wished us a good journey.
Small things but they really make a big impression and add to the stay.
We came away feeling as though we had been well looked after at Llandudn Junction.
- maxineh871 (4/5): Premier Inn ok but the eatery is very poor service wise. - The Premier Inn itself always gives a good, basic standard of room with clean beds and bathrooms and easy to book in. However the eatery adjacent really lets it down as the queuing was constant even if you just wanted a drink, with tables uncleared and stained with fresh drink spillages (not a staff fault however as those on duty were friendly and trying their best to clear the backlogs). Shame as this location is so handy off the A55.
- dianehW8358DY (2/5): Very poor - Have stayed here for many years but now frankly it needs either a full refurb or demolishing. It is so dated, carpets and furnishings are dirty, not even spare loo roll in the bathroom. Restaurant and bar now also shut early. Was also told had to pay more for a twin room. Breakfast was rubbish and not worth 10.99. Wake up premier innn as plenty of good deal hôtels I. Liverpool including breakfast for less Will never stay here again.
- maryj222 (4/5): Never again - Very dissapointed, room very basic, only 1 hand towels between 2 of us, mugs like half pint pots and no tumbler in bathroom. Bedside lamp is only spotlight and only basic channels on tv, couldn't sleep due to inconsiderate guests being extremely noisy until 1-30 am, will not consider staying in premier inn again.
- teresa3benny (8/5): Satisfied as always - This was a trip to see family. The staff in reception were very welcoming. Last time we stayed here there was no charge for parking so I was very suprised that we had to pay £3 per night!!!!!
The room itself was clean as always and the bed very comfortable
- Wheelsmj (6/5): Basic but nice place to stay - Stayed in June 2025, before parking charges were brought in. Rooms were clean and usual Premier Inn standard. There for three nights and slept well. Staff on reception were fine. Breakfast in the Brewers Fayre was good plenty of choice and all hot. Ate at the Brewers Fayre one evening food not great.
Location is good, but you do need to drive everywhere or get a taxi.
- 644sylviac (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean rooms, very quiet, comfortable beds. If you want anything just ask. Good location, plenty of parking, next door to several shops, easy access into centre of Liverpool via bus around corner.
- TheCriticOSW (4/5): Nice Staff, But That’s Where Positivity Ends - I stayed here for one night, and while the staff were polite and accommodating, the overall experience was disappointing. I needed a ground-floor room due to mobility, and the team arranged this without any fuss, which I appreciated.
At first glance, the room appeared fine, but once I settled in, it became clear that it had not been properly cleaned. The bedding had clearly not been changed from the previous guest, as there were hairs on the pillows and even under the sheets. That is the basic standard you should be able to rely on in any hotel.
The bathroom gave a similar impression. It looked alright at first, but the soap dispenser was rusty and had a buildup of dried soap and grime, which was unpleasant to see. It made me question how much attention had really been paid to cleanliness across the room.
Overall, the staff were friendly, but the lack of cleanliness let the whole experience down. I would not choose to stay here again.
- N5705GIbryans (4/5): Could have easily been a lot better - We stayed for 5 nights and were put into a ground floor room. After the first being woken at 05:30 by the room above we asked to change rooms but were told they were fully booked. The room thermostat did not work so we were awake at 05:30 to a cold room. They changed the thermostat to a previously used one which was better but did not function correctly - so we had some warmth. The room was not serviced, we had to ask them to empty the bin. The bed bottom sheet kept coming loose, not a fitted sheet.
- 89irise (2/5): Mid week stay below stamdard and expensive - Was upset room had poor bed and broken toilet
Restsurant brewers fayre was very poor sticky tables 90 min wait for food.food very poor and barely warm. Quite dissapointed as charged 218 pounds for 2 nights tues amd wed mid week. .
- 27gerryj (10/5): exellent - Location is great, straight off the main road. The room was very nicely made up and you can see cleanliness is high on the agenda.Nice quiet couple of nights with a very pleasent place next door to eat and drink.Staff were faultless at reception and friendly all round.Cant recommend enough.Try for yourself.
- sadie12e (8/5): Rooms too hot at night - All in all a pleasant stay, but the rooms are too hot during the night, and affected our quality of sleep.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
- T4663KMvickys (10/5): Faultless stay - My family and our friends family stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August. (11 adults 5 children)
The location of this hotel is spot on you have easy access to many places, all amenities close by.
The atmosphere at this hotel is relaxed and chilled.
Rooms are of a decent size, well maintained and clean, rooms are currently being renovated, we stayed in one of the older rooms and I have no complaints, our son and his family stayed in one of the renovated rooms, they are stylish, spacious and modern.
This stay was very inexpensive and total vaule for money, we paid £132 per room for 3 nights stay with breakfast.
For us breakfast is a must so we always include breakfast on our trips, buffet style breakfast provide and the vaule for money is second to none.
Staff at this hotel are amazing, friendly and very helpful, they was always smiling checking if we needed anything very attentive.
- Excursion01709987069 (8/5): My second visit, and it won’t be my last. - This is the second time I have stayed in this particular Premier Inn.
Overall, my experience was a good one. Nice, clean, comfortable room. The tv was a little slow to respond, but I know nothing can be done about that. Shower was good, and easy to use.
I had breakfast every morning, and a meal on two evenings out of four. On the first morning, breakfast was self serve, but the next three mornings it was ordered. Food was good, never had any complaints about the food at Beefeater.
Onto the not so good stuff. Despite my mobile coverage in the area being good, my 5G in the room was virtually non-existent, and the in-house WiFi wasn’t much better.
I asked to my room to be serviced, but all that was done was that the bin was emptied and the towels replaced. The tea/coffee/milk wasn’t refilled, and the bed wasn’t made, mugs not washed etc.
When I flushed the toilet, or when the shower was on, it was as if the water was coming in waves. It’s hard to describe.
I feel the place could do with a bit of touching up, here and there. There were patches of missing wallpaper on the corridor, paint peeling at the skirting board.
Having said that, this was my second visit and I’m confident it won’t be my last. It’s a nice, safe place to stay, close to local transport and amenities. Close to Aintree (good for the racing) . The staff are lovely and friendly, and couldn’t be more helpful.
- maryhH7031QI (4/5): Following previous good experiences with Premier Inns, Glan Conwy was let down by Brewer’s Fayre - Having had great stays at Premier Inns across UK. We came to Llandudno expecting the same. The hotel staff were excellent. The restaurant’s senior staff (with the exception of the young waitress who was very caring) they need more training
- P6204YZfatimar (10/5): Lovely staff and experience - The staff are so welcoming and accommodating - special thank you to Lauren for going above and beyond to help me! Lovely hotel
- M3554UBhollyh (8/5): Fab staff, nice hotel - Clean, reasonably spacious and great stay.
Danielle on reception was so friendly and helpful - absolute super star.
Only drawback was that there is no lift to get to upper floor.
- iansI1435TO (8/5): Reasonable premier inn fayre - Comfortable room with reasonable lighting but the shower over the bath was not terribly safe - no grab handles or slip proof mat provided. A 6.30am fire alarm didn't endear it to me either. Usual premier inn breakfast, but there was an M&S foodhall on the site.
- catherinesE2469TF (4/5): Very poor - The whole place looks run down, cigarette ends and litter everywhere,
Bedroom had splash marks running down the walls,
Scuff marks, Paint missing from walls.
Cobwebs everywhere, very dusty
Only 1 single socket in the room (2women trying to get ready at the same time was a nightmare)
Very hot weekend no air con available (completely turned off)
Fan in room fell apart when tried to move closer, again red hot room and had to unplug fan to get ready to go out as this was only socket in room
Breakfast area: very very untidy other guests just left things on tops not in bins, other peoples cereal, pastry and toast crumbs everywhere left in the clean bowls which were undeneath so had to clean out before using bowls, feel staff need to of kept on top of this.
2nd day at breakfast had to stand and wait for cooked breakfast as there was no eggs mushrooms or bacon available asked a member off staff she replied: well it’s not my fault it’s busy !! (Not what I really wanted to hear)
I have stayed in the premiere inn many times but feel this was definitely below standards
- JackieCart123 (10/5): Premier Inn highly recommend for a couple of nights away - Friendly helpful staff room clean comfortable bed all that you need for a few nights away. Beefeater restaurant highly recommended
- grahamsZ611LD (2/5): Love hot conditions? Stay here! - Room was hotter than the surface of the sun. The staff were unable to help as out their hands, they did give fans alas that just pushed the air around.
- richardtodd345 (2/5): Small family room to small - Staying here at the moment and there is 5 of us one of which is a baby and it’s a small family room not enough room for us all putting the cot up basically blocks the other beds for a family of five we shouldn’t be in this room not a start need a bigger room
- S4897WCnicolem (10/5): Very comfortable - Staff are very friendly and helpful and welcoming when we got there the accommodation was lovely and clean had no issues or
- Cruiser204400 (2/5): Rude staff - Worst experience of a Premier Inn ever. Reception lady was very rude, dismissive, abrupt, blunt and unfriendly. Not a good welcome at all. It totally spoilt our stay.
- mariejB3032VC (8/5): Overall enjoyed stay - Beds very comfortable although bathroom clean with towels provided felt room needed updating as furniture and carpet very stained and walls need repainting. Lots of peeling on furniture
- J8680QRscottb (6/5): Friendly staff but poor attention to detail - Usual Premier Inn offering, but beginning to show its age.
Main issue was that we had booked a family room for me and my son. On arrival found only one bed to be made up. This was 'sorted' whilst we had a drink next door.
However, it became apparent the followiong morning that they hadn't checked the towels when making up the second bed, so we had to get by on a single towel and the floor mat.
Air con would have been useful given the room was over 28 degrees.
Very friendly staff
- ensleyp2025 (2/5): Won't be staying here again! - Stayed 13-14/08/2025.
Woke up during the night to use the toilet and saw a large crawling insect appear from behind the toilet, what looked like a cockroach, approx. 1/2 inch in length. I was unable to catch a picture as it it quickly moved out of site. In the morning there was many insects crawling around the bathroom surfaces. These I did get a picture of.
Reception staff member dismissed my report and said there was nothing he could do.
I was due to stay another night but checked out immediately. No refund or any form of resolve was offered. Not even a refund for checking out a day early.
I won't be staying there again.
- pailw2021 (10/5): Hotel stay - Stayed a night at premier north and receptionist Jaqueline was so helpful and warm and welcoming I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in Liverpool again
- F6867XTmartins (10/5): Overnight stay - Stayed Saturday 9th August as visiting relatives in Aintree. Had some doubts as some of the recent reviews are mixed but I couldn't fault anything, Plenty of car parking spaces, car registration process was easy, then we had a very polite and friendly greeting from Jackie and Debbie. Hotel was clean, bedroom tidy and bed comfortable. We were eating out with relatives so can't comment on food quality / service but we did have one drink and the barman too was polite and friendly. The food we saw being served looked fine. There is a certain level of standard and service expected at a Premier Inn and this was evident. If a guest wants air conditioning, ask before you book; if you expect to arrive at 18.00 on a Saturday and want to eat, book a table - common sense as you wouldn't expect to walk into many restaurants on a Saturday evening without booking. Most hotels could do with a freshen up every year but that's an expense. I've stayed at 5 star hotels in London and you do occasionally hear guests in the corridor or the room above / below just like you do at home. If it's bad, complain and let the hotel react / respond. I'd stay again.
- harrydD3259ZS (6/5): Lovely Stay - I checked into this hotel with my wife and had a lovely stay. The rooms were very clean, no air conditioning but a fan in the rooms, they did get quite hot through the night. The restaurant staff were lovely and very friendly. Reception staff were very helpful, always smiling and offered plenty of advise about the local area and city centre. Danielle and Kevin on the desk were always happy to to see us when we came into the reception area and greeting us. We had a lovely stay and will be returning to this hotel in the future.
- tracey482 (10/5): Friendly, helpful staff and good quality rooms - When we arrived at the back of the hotel after following sat nav we were worried about the quality of the rooms however we could not have been more wrong. A very friendly greeting on arrival made us feel very welcome and then the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were knowledgeable about the local area. The staff in the adjoining beefeater were efficient and welcoming and the food was brought quickly and really good quality. Staying outside the city wasn’t a problem as having on site car parking was a big bonus for us and a train station less than 10 minutes walk took us directly into the city. Would not hesitate to recommend
- Smithy1993 (6/5): Not the best. - I would prefer to have spent another £70 and went to the premier inn @ Liverpool centre. This is a very dated hotel, I have stayed at many a premier inn as I travel with work, but when coming with my family I was very disappointed. The bed was the worst sleep I have had from a premier inn, the bed was awful. You could hear the person above us walking around, using the bathroom and moving chairs which was very irritating. There had been a drink spilled on the wall and carpet which hadn’t been cleaned. I would not use the beef eater for food. We checked in at 18:00 and was told by the restaurant they were full until 20:00 so had to find a table in the bar area. While we were waiting for food there was 16 empty tables which were still there at 9 o’clock when we left. We ordered fish bites off the kids menu and when they arrived, they were still frozen so we sent them back. Poor service from the restaurant.
- tatianadZ2877JA (10/5): Premier Inn, Liverpool West Derby (Queens Drive) - highly recommend 👌 - 2 kids and I stayed in the Premier Inn West Derby hotel for couple nights and everything was great. The hotel located only 15 minutes driving from Liverpool City centre. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, I did appreciate it was a kettle and supplements of tea, coffee, milks and sugar in the room. It felt safe and comfortable.
- emmalhardy (2/5): Poop/faeces throughout the room - would avoid this hotel at all costs! - Utterly horrified by my experience at this hotel. Checked in to my room and was greeted by a previous guest's poo dried onto the bathroom door handle and smeared on the wall underneath the toilet paper dispenser. Later got out of the shower and grabbed my "clean" towels only to find skid marks all over them. Horrified to say the least. Complained at reception and was informed the room would be given a thoroughly deep clean. Despite this, upon my return I was disgusted to see the poop on the wall hadn't been touched and was very much still there. Went back down to reception and asked to speak to a manager. Was informed none were available. The same individual at the desk I'd spoken to that morning came up to my room and finally cleaned it off herself. Absolutely disgraceful hotel. I've stayed at many Premier Inns in my time all around the country and I've never experienced anything like this. Poop/faeces on three separate things in the room and the only apology was one free breakfast. The place should be shut down for being a health hazard!
- 186jamesi (10/5): Supporting Liverpool foundation & staying in style - Had an excellent day at the Premier Inn, playing friendly staff and a nice quiet room with a fan and everything I needed. Thank you for this guys have a great day
- jensL5723TF (2/5): Too hot and a really long walk to the room! - Way too hot. The fans are either ineffective or have a 2hr timer meaning you have to get up every 2 hours to make the room comfortable..not covered by their goodnight guarantee as they dont state they have air conditioning. The fans would have been fine if not on a timer!!
- Venture748058 (4/5): Hotel needs proper cleaners. - Not clean at all. Bedroom and bathroom were not clean. Tables in the Beefeater were sticky and not clean. plates, cutlery all with fried in food on them.
Breakfast not great quality.
Dinner in the beefeater was pretty good.
Staff in the Hotel and the Beefeater could not have been more friendly and helpful. Only for them we would have checked out and gone to a different hotel.
Wifi is non existent in the room. Towels were good quality.
- jalb198 (8/5): Much better than anticipated - I was quite apprehensive before our stay, having read a number of poor reviews saying this Premier Inn was run down and not worth staying in. Some even suggested avoiding it altogether and booking elsewhere. However, I’m pleased to say our experience was much better than expected!
I’d read that the rooms could get very hot in summer and only came with a dusty fan, so I brought two of my own. Imagine my surprise when we arrived to find a tall, nearly-new fan already in the room and ready to use. Yes, the room was warm, but the fan made a real difference and we slept well.
The room itself was fine – not luxurious, but clean and perfectly serviceable. The bathroom was okay, and while the pillows were a bit flat, we quickly found extra ones in the room without needing to ask. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee provided, which was appreciated.
The only small issue was that only two of the three plug sockets in the room seemed to work, but we always travel with a 4-way extension lead so it didn’t affect us too much.
The biggest surprise was the breakfast. Some of the reviews had been quite confusing, so we nearly didn’t bother. I’m glad we did! Breakfast is served next door at the Beefeater (The Stag and Rainbow), and it was both good value and tasty. The full English buffet was £12, the continental was £9, and kids eat free – excellent value for families.
One thing to note: you do have to pay for parking. We used the app, but later realised it would have been cheaper to pay at reception, so that’s worth bearing in mind.
All in all, this was a decent stay and I honestly don’t understand all the negative reviews. It might not be fancy, but it delivered exactly what we needed for a comfortable night and a good breakfast.
- kaz1061 (10/5): Very Quiet and good nights sleep - The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. We are glad they put a fan in as it was hot and we needed it on all night. There is not much drawer space and the wardrobe is only small. The bathroom was okay but the bath is a bit high to climb into, it needs updating to just a walk in shower. It is very quiet place and not noisy at all. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as not all the food on the menu was available and some times it was over cooked.
I would not stop us staying there again as it is just ideal to get to Liverpool town centre from there by bus.
- MarionP1969 (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay - Staff very friendly and helpful. Room good size and was clean and tidy. Bed comfortable which always helped and found extra pillows in the cupboard. Handy stand up fan which is a godsend to someone having hot flushes.!! Wasn’t made aware of parking charges, until we arrived, so that was a bit of a let down. Also used the option for booking breakfast and dinner next door in the beefeater. Breakfast was as expected and plenty of it. Dinner however was a let down. Waited ages to be seated although there was plenty of staff walking past. Once we got seated was informed there is an extra charge for some of the food related to the meal deal.! Restaurant wasn’t busy so no excuse for poor service. If I hadn’t already paid for the meal, we would have left. Overall happy with the stay at the premier inn, and breakfast, but wouldn’t use for dinner again.
- N5553BSlindal (6/5): - Room was clean. Bed comfortable but one pillow each and uncomfortable.
Room was a nightmare with the high humidity and no air con! A standing fan but thick with Dust !. Staff at desk ok.It is
bad that you have to pay for parking now, never used to in the past. Had to leave before our time due to bad news of family death.
- Crewieboy (6/5): Disappointingly not up to usual Premier standards. Additional charge for parking. - First time I've been disappointed with a Premier booking. Overpriced by usual Premier out of City Centre standards and additional charge for parking not referred to in booking process. Shower and bed were both excellent but no duvet or bath option. (Could have asked for duvet but not required.) Breakfast cold and not up to usual Premier standards.
- 85nikolaj (10/5): Enjoyable stay, good location, great service and value for money food in The Beefeater. - I stayed here on a Friday night, having travelled by train from Manchester, as my teenage son was participating in a running event at nearby Stanley Park on the Saturday morning. From Lime Street Station, it was approximately a 20 minute drive and cost £12 in a black cab. We arrived around 5pm and received a friendly welcome from reception staff. A female member of staff saw that I had mobility issues, and she immediately set about transferring me from my allocated room to a ground floor room. Our room was comfortable and clean.
We had our evening meal in The Beefeater next door, having already pre-booked a table in there. I did this via the link on the email that Premier Inn sent to me the day before my stay. I also booked our breakfast slot and lunch slot for the following day, so had no problem getting a table for any of our meals. The food was good quality and I couldn't fault the service. We had breakfast at 7am to ensure we could get to the running event on time. Everything was freshly cooked at this time and there was plenty of choice. There is an M&S Food Hall and an Aldi on site, so handy if you want to purchase any snacks during your stay. There is also a confectionary & drinks vending machine in the hotel's reception.
The hotel is in a good location for Anfield, Goodison Park and Stanley Park. It cost us £7 in a taxi to Stanley Park, which is around an 8 minute drive away, this being the park that is in between the two football grounds.
One thing to note..., the carpark is very small and there are only a few disabled bays. The one right by the entrance was occupied by a huge van the whole time I was there (no blue badge), and the other two were often occupied by non-blue badge holders too whilst I was there. As a blue badge holder, I was glad that I had got the train, as all of the disabled bays were full throughout my stay.
My son is booked on the same run for next year and we would both be happy to stay at this hotel again.
- scotth756 (2/5): No Aircon Unbearable Rooms! - Stayed here on the 28th of June, the rooms have no air conditioning, it was 27-28 degrees all day and all night long, unbearable for sleeping in, rang premier in and they said they don't state aircon so there's nothing they can do, so much to a good night sleep guaranteed, one to miss.
