Guest Reviews
- dominicmE5764RN (10/5): Great stay - Had excellent stay room was spacious for family of 4 room was lovely clean and fresh staff where nice friendly bunch always got a good morning from housekeeping and nothing was a bother
- Fearless65434801140 (10/5): Lovely, clean and friendly staff - Excellent stay. We had to stay here for a few nights to visit some family. All I want to mention is the staff were fantastic and so friendly and caring towards our small children. The girls that were cleaning our rooms were always talking to our children and making such an effort can’t thank them enough. Overall the hotel is in an ideal location and is easy to get to and from the city centre which is perfect!! Room was lovely and clean. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.
- CasaMcGinley (2/5): Never Again - I have stayed at the Premier Inn in Stepps on many occasions while visiting family and friends in Glasgow. On this occasion, I stayed for 3 nights at a fantastic low rate.
Unfortunately this will be my last visit, until there is a complete refurbishment, it is now tired and in urgent need of investment.
Pros:
- brilliant reception staff, who are always professional, helpful and welcoming
- comfortable mattresses, always have great sleep
- warm room (near freezing outside)
- excellent rate
- free parking
- free de-icer & scrapper on table at front door
- adjacent pub/restaurant
- close to motorways
Cons:
- was not told you had to request at reception to get room cleaned and towels replaced, returned late at night, and hadn’t been serviced
- had to ask reception for fresh towels
- damp smell in corridors (1st floor), made we feel queasy
- stairway covered in debris for full 3 days, not vacuumed
- staff member entered room on 1st morning, after a quick knock, despite “do not disturb” sign on door - I was on a business call.
- at 11:00 staff talking extremely loud in corridor, thankfully I had no children in the room, as their language was appalling - foul mouthed and not appropriate
- moss covered footpath on rear football, making it slippy
- rear building facia hadn’t been painted for many years.
- if staying in the summer, no air con, maybe not an issue in Glasgow.
I couldn’t recommend this hotel and will not be returning.
- margaretbR8102PM (8/5): Had fun - Very enjoyable , great value for money , room was good would stay again definitely convenient location for where we were
- Spruce80 (8/5): Overall a very pleasant stay for one night and I would stay here again. - Room was clean and had everything I needed. It was also very quiet given that it was near a main road. Check-in and out was straightforward with no issues. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was a bit limited in terms of choice and the space is quite small so it could get a bit crowded around the food when it was busy. Overall a very pleasant stay for one night and I would stay here again.
- zoen472 (2/5): Take disinfectant wipes - The room was filthy. Cups not washed, door handles and skirting boards that hadn’t been cleaned in months and pubes in the bed.
- ruarraidhm (6/5): Passable hotel, drastic food.. - Before I start, staff were all fine.
The hotel is slightly run-down. I appreciate it's a budget hotel, so ok for price.
The restaurant food, to be honest was drastic. Extremely poor quality, warm ( not hot), appeared to be old, slightly microwaved tat ) sorry). Any resemblance to what was stated seemed purely coincidental. And many items not available.
Again, the young staff were all fine, friendly, hotel passable, but food truly tragic.
- 645garymitchell (6/5): Noisy room - Booked 2 nights in Premier Plus. Hotel recently refurbed and have to say its lovely although could do will Unlimited wifi included. Still a £5 charge.
Problem occurred on first morning.
We were booked into room 408 which is adjacent to the Restaurant Kitchen and BIn yard outside the window.
From 6am till 8am there was constant crashing and banging of what i assume were delivery cages, empty kegs and the outside bins.
I brought it to the attention of reception and they immediately tried to re room us. However we were running late for an appointment and couldn't facilitate the move.
We arrived back at the hotel late and had to return to room 408.
The communication process must be on another level as the following morning between 6am and 8am you could of heard a pin drop.
So big thank you to the staff for resolving the issue but if you are allocated this room on arrival I m not sure if the new 'quiet' best practice next to room 408 will continue.
- 911hazels (2/5): So poor! - On arrival individual, booked us in and that is the only positive that I can say about staff interaction. Breakfast left standing for 10 mins, person appeared, asked what room, then help yourself. Asked did it matter where we sat...response anywhere it's help yourself! Breakfast was luke warm (except sausage) half scrambled eggs looked like they were floating around in milk.
Staircase dirty, room has main thoroughfare vacuumed the rest dusty/dirty. Bathroom small but clean.
We have stayed in many premier inn for business and leisure. This has to be the worst
- Pocketsizejade (4/5): Kept up all night - The room was nice and very clean. The bed felt amazing but sadly I got woken up nearly every hour. My room was next to the door that split the hall. So I heard everyone coming in and of course the door slam shut. The temperature controller, I kept hearing it clicking. The way it echo I thought someone was at my door trying to get in.
One of my neighbours at about 2ish banged their door but more sounded like punching it.
Barely got any sleep. I was really looking forward to my bed that night but sadly not.
- J9252KQkaim (2/5): My horrendous stay at the place - This was a horrific experience we were going to England from fort William on holiday and we went here to break it up and the stay was absolutely horrendous we have finally got all the kids to sleep as the fire alarm went off at 2AM we got back in for 3AM and we went back to sleep at 4 then had to wake up at 7 overall this was a horrific experience we will not come back here again without compensation or at very least a complimentary breakfast
- jess90e (10/5): Highly recommended - Had an amazing experience at this hotel the other evening. Staff were friendly kind and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
- GloucestertilIdie (10/5): Helpful staff came to my aid when ill - I stay here a lot and, yes, it's getting to the stage where a refurbishment can't be far away. But it remains No 1 choice for rugby at Kingsholm. On my latest visit, I arrived feeling distinctly unwell. It was well ahead of early check-in time but the staff went out of their way to find me a room so I could rest up and recuperate. I think the lady's name was Don - top-class customer service. See you in a couple of weeks for the next home game.
- Inspire757800 (10/5): Very pleasant overnight stay - Needed somewhere for a one night stop. I arrived by car, the Premier Inn was easy to find on the north side of Gloucester with plenty of free parking (just need to register your vehicle number at reception). Room was clean and comfortable. In the evening we walked towards the cathedral and docks - took about half hour. We had Premier Inn breakfast in the adjoining restaurant the next morning - we had a nicely cooked English breakfast which we ordered on arrival and which was served to our table, plus a good choice of cereals, yoghurts, toast etc which you could help yourself to at the buffet. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again
- andrewtF9454AM (4/5): Rooms ok , But avoid the Restaurant - Rooms were clean and tidy and Staff friendly . But was let down in Restaurant that Premier appears to have taken over from Beefeater Service was poor as they were understaffed , 2 people covering bar and serving tables and crossing carpark to reception to book in guests. Only 1-2 chefs on different nights . Food was ok but often dried up as sat under heat lamps too long before being served . Waited ages to be served in-between courses including drinks , as so understaffed . Not the Staffs fault , but Premier need to resource properly . There were 7 people staying in our group and we booked in advance so they knew we were coming . As service so bad we ate only 2 nights out of 4 , as we found somewhere with better service and quality food close by .
- brianmT9870HH (8/5): Good base for Glasgow and around. - Usual Premier Inn offering. You know what to expect. Some modernization wouldn't go amiss but nothing that would put me off returning.
I'm surprised at some of the comments about breakfast as I thought everything I've had elsewhere was on offer.
Excellent friendly staff.
- colindP2041HL (10/5): Great night's stay - Great location with easy access to M5. Lots of free parking. Friendly welcome. Great sized room. Really good night's sleep. Good breakfast in the morning with regular restocking of food and drink. Quiet. Would recommend and stay there again,👍
- A7605IFrileys (8/5): Honest review of our experience - The experience all together was lovely with kind staff on entrance and the rooms were Cosy and comforting. The tv only works on certain channels and the internet and data connection is very on and off with working but it’s a relaxing change and a comfy little environment, the breakfast was very fully and tasted amazing with a good coffee to kick start the day as well as the staff in the Longford in being very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for it clean and presentable rooms and the cost for the room for two adults for one night was £84 which for the experience and expectation was ok and good value for money. You couldn't hear the road or other rooms from
Ours and the room came with a nice fan and a couple options for mirrors and lighting. And for the location off the hotel in Gloucestershire it’s a nice change of scenery from a busy city Centre.
- Y5223OMchristopherb (10/5): Premier Inn Stepps. - 10 minute drive from the location we were going to. Atmosphere was peaceful. Room was clean , booked online and got a good deal and value for money.
Noise level was low. service was good 👍. Amenities were spot on.
- David (4/5): - Toilet in restaurant out of order property tired and run down
- Lotsstill2see (4/5): One of the worst Premier inn hotels we've stayed at - So the room we were in was clean and the bed very comfy. However it was a very small room. Not a big problem as we weren't in the room most of the day as out visitng local tourist sites.
Car park is big and free which a positive.
However having stayed in many premier inns because we like the brand this hotel felt a let down. The hotel needs a big refurbishment. Bar attached closed early, tills were down on one night which created a stressful short staff team. There was no other local bar to go to. One night the guy behind the bar just turned off the music and vanished!
Beth was the duty manager and could not do enough to help all customers. She was the best thing about this hotel. Shame the premier inn CEO and powers that be don't seem to recognise the need for added support and investment in this hotel.
- lindasL8674IY (4/5): Do not book - Room had a pungent smell of damp , dust and black condensation / damp on corner of the wall
Rubbish found under bed
Noisy part of the hotel ( Lower floor) the
Manager was extremely busy to listen to my concerns and handed me a customer relations card to complain
- A6658EPjos (4/5): Wouldn't recommend off my experience - No one at reception when we arrived. Not overly friendly when they came. Room was dusty. Obviously Not hoovered. Reception said they only get hoovered when deep cleaned.... shouldn't we have a deep cleaned room on every visit.. I wouldnt think a hoovered qas standard in a clean.. they said they use a robot.. ive ine at home. They sweep. Dont suck.. but in the morning when staff doing changeovers i saw no hoovers. No robots. Just a floor scraper mop thing.
the rooms arnt exactly cheap.. I expected hoovered room. Dusted. Bare minimum.
I Didn't take my socks off to walk on the carpet.
booked a family room for myself and my 6yo son.. only the double bed made up. Not the single. No bedding. Only one set of towels provided. Dispite 2 people booked into room. Regardless of age.. 2 people. Was too late to sort once in the shower. Heater didn't work.
Breakfast was fine. No tomatoes.. apparently tom didn't want to play that day.. is what cheff said.
The pup next door was Standard. Warm food.. not hot, overpriced. £17 for belly pork on mash with a couple carrots. But Filled a gap.
Was a 45 minute wait on food. We waited 45 mins and came back to be told the same, 45 min wait for food. Staff in the pub lovely.
- stevenp94 (10/5): Great Premier Inn in Gloucester. - Another great stay at a Premier inn. We stayed here for 1 night as a half way break on our trip to Cornwall. Clean, comfortable room and a great full breakfast!. Tasty food provided by the team. Thank you Craig, Amelia and Chloe, hard working friendly staff. We will be making a return visit.
- karengF5156CW (10/5): Great stay - Great one night stay, for a local family party, nice room, comfy bed & friendly staff.
Parking was a definite plus for us.
Will definitely use again.
- Jes103 (4/5): Avoid!!! - Came here, as my son had bought a house nearby but hadn’t any furniture
Arrived at hotel around 8.30pm having checked in online.
Given our key, not told of room number or any information
Room was clean, but small
Went to pub attached to Premier Inn
Young barman was charismatic and friendly, although a little distracted by a young female friend 😉
However we were informed bar was closing at 9pm, on a Saturday night!!!!
Next day breakfast was appalling
Continental offering was stale, muffins were rock hard
Cooked offering no better
No plates, had to ask,
Bacon like leather
No eggs cooked
Just horrible! Absolutely not value for money
Only good thing about this hotel was the young lad working on the bar, that closed by 9pm on a Saturday night!!
AVOID!
- NorthStar38626341269 (2/5): Disturbed sleep - We spent two nights here and experienced disturbed sleep on both nights despite changing rooms and making complaints.
This was due to lorries off loading at 3 am 5am and 7am in the hotel car park. Staff were apologetic and said the problem had been raised before. No action had been taken to control deliveries.
No compensation was given.
The restaurant was understaffed and food was running out at breakfast all of the time.
Everyone sleeps with their windows open as there is no air conditioning. Hence the impact of external noise.
- Quest56860611001 (10/5): Great hotel and nice restaurant close to Gloucester Quays - Brilliantly situated close to Gloucester Quays and Gloucester itself. Excellent welcome on arrival by friendly receptionist and room was well sized with everything you expect from a Premier. There is a restaurant next where we had a great evening meal and breakfast! Very quiet for the bank holiday but the food and service was great. Our room faced the busy main road but was very quiet and we had free car parking. There’s no lift at this hotel so if you need accessibility ensure you book a ground floor room. All rooms have bath with shower over which are quite high, there’s no walk in showers but there are two accessible rooms which we didn’t see but was nice to know. Would stay again.
- ABZtraveler2022 (2/5): Dissapointed - No Airconditioning in the room the heating was not turned off adding to the room heat. the control for heating was set to 25C in the room it was unbearable to sleep as it was at 27C outside. A standing fan was provided which did not work and i cleaned ithe fan bladed then it started working blowing the already hot air around the room. The hotel was a building site and was being refurbished. the car park at the back of the hotel was where the construction worker kept their machines. at 7am on a saturday woke up to the kind noises of a building site. The room, under the bed had never been cleaned and it was disgusting. I was trying to find a socket on the wall that actually worked.
some of the electrical sockets did not work for charging usb and phone,
one positive was that breakfast was very good
- Jemma5555 (4/5): Awful - We have stayed in many Premier Inn hotels over the years and we have always enjoyed our stay.
This establishment however was just awful. The shower wasn't connected to the bath connection so water flooded everywhere. Hardly any water actually came out of the shower head.
The toilet seat was hanging off.
The air con was so loud we had to switch it off while in the room as you couldn't hear each other speak.
The window ledge and frame were full of dead flies and very sticky.
The TV wouldn't switch on.
We didn't get into to the room until after 8pm to find out the problems and by that time, we couldn't be bothered with the hassle of asking the 1 member of staff to help. It's put me off staying in a Premier Inn in the future.
- jafferd2025 (10/5): Premier Inn Gloucester Longford - We recently stayed at Premier Inn Gloucester Longford and had a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged—perfect for a restful night after exploring the area. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere. It is clear that the team takes pride in maintaining high standards, and it really made a difference to our stay. Thank you for providing such a reliable and pleasant base—we’ll definitely be returning!
- stevesX1281BN (10/5): Great - Clean room, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Very satisfied. Some building work noise, but it certainly didn't cause any undue disturbance.
- normamE9568NT (10/5): My stay at Gloucester premiere inn. - Me and my wonderful sister stayed at this hotel for two nights
The staff were very pleasant to us and gave 100% service
The breakfast was lovely, with many options
My sister has allergies the staff were very attentive to my sisters needs
As all her plates and cutlery was washed and handed to her separately
I would visit again
Thank you
- elainemT7863OK (8/5): Longford, Gloucester - Our experience was mainly great. Shea (im not sure if ive spelled that correctly and apologise if not) was lovely at check in. Very sweet and professional.
La, on the other hand, could have her people skills improved.
Handy for transport, quiet and clean. Would stay again if in the area.
- O8597PZjohnb (2/5): Bed and cleanliness - Got in room and there were unclean pillows. Also bed had not been made properly and quilt was inside out.Window would not open .
Got moved to another room which was better but again dirty.Dont think whoever cleans these room know how to use a cloth and Polish as there were areas that had clearly not been dusted or polished for weeks.
- Molmo35 (10/5): Brilliant premier inn - Have stayed at this premier inn twice for a sports competition for our son. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The pub next door is fine for a family dinner.
The hotel is really lovely and quiet and we slept well both times.
Best bit is breakfast. We are always there early doors and the food it hot and fresh with a lovely chef who'll happily cook poached eggs.
- nicholasg209 (10/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful comfortable stay with an extremely comfortable bed and we had a lovely meal too with great service. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
- paulgN9859EH (10/5): Best breakfast for a long time and I use Premier Inns across the country frequently - Clean and tidy bedroom, as expected. The breakfast has particularly impressed, the best PI breakfast for a long time. All crockery and cutlery spotless. Craig, the chef, has laid on a brilliant breakfast. Can’t fault his efforts.
- dalreagle_jones (8/5): Excellent room but very poor restaurant - The rooms are excellent however as building work being carried out restricted parking there was limited disabled parking which was vital for our disabled brother. Also the previous Brewers Fare has been demolished and the new eating venue is quite small, very cold and food choice very limited. We had to find alternative eating options.
- pamh262 (8/5): Dissappointing Visit - Overall a decent place to stay for a few days. The whole place looks a little jaded, but the staff more than make up for it. We were very dissappointed with our room, it was very cramped & the bathroom was so small we had a job to fit in, however the bed was fantastic, plenty of room & so comfortable. We had the perfect nights sleep all three nights. The food was very disappointing over the weekend , served on cold plates & very little choice, however, on the Monday it was totally what we expected. a good full english served on hot plates
- jackyb830 (6/5): poor dining experience - not the fault of Premier Inn - The restaurant next door is not affiliated with the Premier Inn, hence they felt free to be rude and obnoxious when we went there for an evening meal. We were told they had no tables left, despite the place being empty. After grumbling at them, the manager found us a table, and we had a nice meal there. By the time we left, the tables were still all empty, so why did they not wish to serve us? Have they had a falling out with the Premier Inn? It would appear so, because breakfast was served in the Premier Inn itself, in a tiny cramped red-hot room which was not big enough to accommodate everybody. None of this is the fault of the staff at the Premier Inn itself, and they worked hard and were polite and courteous, and the poor dining set-up was not their fault. Beware if you think you will get the usual mealtime service at this branch though. You won't.
- krF6234AU (6/5): Decent enough but avoid breakfast. - The Premier Inn itself is clean and comfortable although sound proofing isn't great. Whenever anyone in the room above moved around it was like a stampede on the ceiling.
The breakfast was very poor, limited choice, items not being replenished and hot food overcooked. Avoid breakfast, it's not worth the money.
- maredd2023 (6/5): An OK hotel with kind staff at front of house. - Staff were lovely, very friendly, but overall cleanliness of room was not great. Everything smelled very stale and damp, and bedding felt damp when arrived. After opening the window and turning some heating on, things got better, but the bathroom could’ve done with further cleaning, removing hair that was all over the sink and bath. The price was very high considering the condition of the room.
- donnalA6734QY (10/5): Comfortable stay - Stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting local area, good location if driving to get around. On first floor, no lift but not a problem for us as knew this before we arrived so packed our things onto smaller more manageable bags. Free plentiful parking. Room was clean and comfortable. Thank you for the biscuits very much appreciated by the kids (and me) with a nice cup of tea after a long drive.
Room was warm but fan was provided. Usually I'm a light sleeper but managed to get a full night's sleep all 4 nights even with the windows open.
Had an evening meal and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed both. Service at both restaurant and hotel were fantastic and when in the area we will definitely book here again.
- davidjones533 (4/5): Fire alarms in the night - Two fire false alarms in four nights. If you enjoy being woken up in the middle of the night and having to wait around the car park then this is the hotel for you, if you enjoy sleep then stay elsewhere.
- D3087GYstevee (2/5): - Stayed at the Premier Inn Gloucester Barnwood for 4 nights. On two of the nights the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the hotel had to be evacuated on both occasions. We were told someone having a shower and leaving the door open in the bathroom was to blame. I had peace of mind of the "premier inn" good nights sleep refund guarantee. I called them and explained what happened and they said it was not covered !!. Unbelievable. How can a shower set off a fire alarm !!!
- jacquelinehB834MB (10/5): Great night stay - From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, the lady on reception was very friendly and provided all information we needed, this was our first time staying at a Premier Inn hotel, so wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel or the room, we had a family room on the ground floor, i can honestly say we were impressed with it, the room was spacious and very clean, the beds were very comfortable and we all had an excellent night sleep, we had booked breakfast for the next morning and again we were very impressed, the food was delicious with plenty of choice, the gentleman cooking it behind the counter was efficient and kept everything topped up, the young lady in the dining room also very efficient and took care of everything else with ease, both were friendly and professional.
- leighas129 (10/5): Amazing - Room was lovely, staff were very welcoming, was checked in by a lovely boy, think his name was alistair. Will definitely be back again⭐️
- 365simm (6/5): Disappointing for money - Terrible mould on top of the shower head which was causing the water to run down off the top and straight out the bath. Awlful looking crack repair on bathroom wall.
Bedside table/stall broken and had ring marks on the top. Table had sticky marks on it bed sheets where ripped and the top of the AC unit and filter look like its never been cleaned.
Paid £152 due to you raising the price due to RIAT being on at Fairford thats £50 increase on a normal Saturday Rate
- Go36793973253 (6/5): Expensive disappointment - The overall impression of the hotel, restaurant and bar is 'tired'. Reception is very small and on arrival there was no-one on duty so we had to press a buzzer and wait for someone to come across from the other building. Our room was on the first floor but there was no lift so we had to scrabble up stairs with our luggage. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and there was only one member of staff on duty to serve behind the bar and also bring out food from the kitchen. We had to wait quite a while for our food. Breakfast provided a wide choice but the cooked food was not appetising. We had chosen the hotel because the location worked well for a family event we were attending, otherwise I'm not sure we would choose it again. Also, the total bill to stay and eat of just short of £400 for two nights, in my opinion, didn't provide value for money.
- Ra88sh (2/5): Would not recommend - Paid for early check in, arrived 12 room not ready, took till 12.40 . Very rude receptionists, not helpful at all. Breakfast had to ask for juices to be refilled, half the pasties had run out. Then as we were going out, asked for room to be cleaned, Reception said need to request it !! Thats what i was doing. Then the chef pipes up & booked breakfast or the mess will happen again. I paid in advance for breakfast. Nor once did anyone mention this. Then go back to room, only towels changed & bin done. Sadly staff were not very welcoming. Would not recommend
- janevec2022 (10/5): Highly recommend absolutely amazing - Beds were absolutely amazing and so comfortable i have alot of physical disabilities and was the most comfy i have ever been. Staff were absolutely amazing so friendly, helpful and kind. Food was absolutely bussin as my kids say 😍
- S6443FLstephenc (2/5): Exceptionally noisy and very limited parking - Construction work taking place with the car park used as a workshop so expect power tools during the night and car park full of vans.
Forget complaining, unless you get up during the night and lodge a complaint at the time, customer services are not interested
- Twistedvonsoul (10/5): June2025 good hotel - Nice hotel, everything you expect from premier. Parking, comfy bed,air con, breakfast was good. Bathrooms could be better but are servicable.
- D5925SLrobm (10/5): This Premier Inn delivered the brand’s reliable comfort - This Premier Inn delivered the brand’s reliable comfort even if the immediate surroundings were not the most appealing. The room was pristine, the mattress exceptionally supportive, and everything felt fresh and well maintained. Both the hotel team and the adjoining pub staff were attentive and friendly; I only stopped for a drink in the pub yet still received prompt service. Overall, an inviting stay where room quality and hospitality outweighed the less inspiring location.
- einhorrido (4/5): Poor - This hotel is happy to take prepayment for meals that they know they can't provide. Payment is allegedly refunded when you check in, but my refund has not been refunded as yet. I dare say it will be when they have had my payment for the length of time the want to have it. This used to be a really good Premier Inn, see previous reviews. However, even before they closed the restaurant, the quality of the food and service (Experienced also, in stays at other Premier Inns) has been greatly reduced, whilst the cost of one's stay has gone up considerably. This is my last stay in that establishment.
- stevie742018 (2/5): Worst nights stay - I made the booking for 13/6. I was issued with two different reference numbers for a stay on 20/6, even though my confirmation record showed the 13/6. This was changed when I arrived, generating an £18 charge (which the computer system did not turn into a transaction), so the agent agreed there was an obvious error with your computer system that had caused me unnecessary anxiety.
I was not asked to register my vehicle when I checked in at approximately 4pm, so my car was parked unregistered for several hours until I asked about this at reception at 11pm.
The bedroom area had cobwebs across the ceiling in different areas which had not be removed during cleaning.
I was then unable to sleep as the couple in the room next door were talking and having sex loudly until 1:30 in the morning, which could clearly be heard through the walls. When you advertise ‘From booking to bed, we're here to help you rest easy’, you fail to live up to this standard. I would not recommend and was highly disappointed
- Myke_Ald (4/5): Basic and expensive - The staff, both of them (bar and reception) were spot on, funny and definitely cared. Especially the barman, top marks to that young guy.
But that’s it, extremely expensive, yeah it’s on the outskirts of a city, but £170 a night. For a basic room, struck me as very overpriced.
The bar next door was apparently going through a refurbishment, but seemed to be more that no cares were given, very limited stock behind the bar.
But hats off to the chef, the food was really good.
A decent enough sleep, once I had got over the shock of the price.
- 834daisyh (4/5): Is what it is - Unfortunately it’s not a great review the place looks really run down, there were holes in the curtains. No where to plug your toothbrush to charge.
Coffee in the room was bland. The beds were very uncomfortable even my eldest said it was.
Staff were great! I saw two ladies whilst staying they were very helpful, happy.
- Upthecut (8/5): Better than expected - Friendly staff, comfortable room although a little on the small side. After our previous experience at a Premier Inn, I swore to never use again but circumstances made it necessary and it has gone some way to restoring my confidence in PI. In addition, I was a little wary, having read reviews on Trip Advisor (damp, mold, smells etc) but our room was fine. After our last experience, we chose not to eat at a Premier Inn, so cannot comment on meals.
- gspatquorn (8/5): Idea location from the reason for the visit's standpoint. - Not one of the most modern of of this chain but functional and comfortable nevertheless. Shower over short bath instead of just a shower tray. Breakfast away from accommodation - luckily weather was dry. Standard fayre for breakfast but a big shout out to Simone who was brilliant.
