Guest Reviews
- NorthStar67530257115 (10/5): thankyou courtney - would like to say a big thankyou to the lovely lady on the phone that was so helpful and kind, her name was Cortney thankyou so much
- daisyannepipe (10/5): Friendly welcome... - Very impressed with this hotel. Great value for money. Very friendly gentleman on the reception when we checked in. Extremely comfy bed and nice breakfast.
- DayTrip671993 (6/5): Typical Premier but no free guests parking - Room okay and clean although on the small side for a Premier. Had to go downstairs to get a towel as only one in room for 2 guests. Didn't have breakfast as we have tried here a few times in the past and they've had hardly any continental options out and on the last occasion there wasn't a clean cup to be found to have a cup of coffee so we eat breakfast at nearby Festival Leisure Park (The Honey Pot).
The reason we will not be staying here again however, is that they have started charging guests £6.50 to park which I don't find acceptable for a non city centre location. Premier Inn at Festival Leisure Park is close and has free parking so that will be our first choice going forward
- Explore594850 (10/5): Such FRIENDLY STAFF - We are an elderly couple and we were immediately given a very accessible room to save us walking. The staff are very friendly and all are helpful, especially Tina who went out of her way to help us at table. Room is clean and tea provided is good. The restaurant breakfast was excellent and mostly freshly cooked. We would definitely come back here in future.
- smurray734 (10/5): Great rest stop. - Welcoming staff and the room was really well kept.
Another winner is how close it is to various restaurants and entertainment.
- benaZ6429RP (10/5): Good value and location - My mother and I came for breakfast for the first time. We had a great experience. When we first walked through the door we were greeted by Courtney who gave us a lovely welcome and couldn't have been more friendly. The food was great, cooked to order, piping hot and not greasy. There was a great range of food and hot drinks. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning.
- 805deborahe (10/5): My experience at the premier inn - Staying at the premier inn was a very enjoyable time. To start there is free parking which is a big plus for the premier inn in my eyes ,pub and restaurant right next door.lovely ambience good clean room with all that you would need.comfy bed and lovely hot shower. Would highly recommend and all at a reasonable price.
- graemet389 (8/5): Fairly good. - 1 overnight stay, reception very friendly and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom very tired and need updated. Breakfast offering very good. Fried eggs on buffet were a bit hard, asked for a fresh cook one and this was done with no complaints.
- Cruiser05271074316 (6/5): Good, clean - Was a nice stay. Clean room. I stayed on 1st floor due to back injury so stairs were painful but I could not get on ground floor. First floor was noisy upstairs. Lift would be beneficial hlin this hotel. Beds are ok and area ok, although the walk to festival leisure cafes was daunting with areas were less than great. Dark and poorly lit. It was quite expensive even out of any children's school holidays and not weekend so not sure why.
- Deborah (10/5): - We had the accessible walk in shower room.
It was great. Comfy bed, staff are very helpful. No convenient shops close by. Festival Park us eithin walking distance & The Quays next door.
- Paradise10068733169 (10/5): A modern hotel - I visited here recently for work. A nice clean modern hotel with friendly staff. Catherine on reception was very helpful and Clive was welcoming and chatty at breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a decent hotel.
- jeffreykB3147IY (10/5): Great Premier Inn - Fantastic service upon arrival. The gentleman on reception was really professional and friendly. Great chap to chat with. The room was clean and very comfortable as was the ed. All staff I encountered were very welcoming and breakfast was a top class. I'd highly recommend this Premier Inn to anyone i in the area.
- thewizz2018 (6/5): Good location and value for money. Staff in general average except for one. - The Premier Inn at Fareham is in a good location for quick access to the M27. The value for money is reasonable. The car park is large. The basic room is just that but it served our purpose well. If I stay again I will use one of their superior rooms. Our room had a loose toilet seat and the extractor fan was not working so they need to keep up with their maintenance programme.
Staff were average in general but one member of staff excelled in looking after guests and managing young members of staff. The TGI Friday nearby was far from good and we had to make other arrangements for evening meals but that was not a great problem.
I would stay here again because of the convenience, but only in one of their superior rooms.
- SUEL513 (8/5): Overnight stay - We had to swap Premier Inn at last minute and ended up at this Festival Park one. Our initial impression was a grotty looking carpark in a scrub land area but on turning a corner it looked better.
ALL staff at this hotel were great, reception morning, noon and night and breakfast room ladies were excellent with a particular shout out for the chef/ manager who was excellent.
The room and bathroom were very clean. We had a good night's sleep which was very quiet.
Breakfast was hot and plentiful .
- 854thaynd (10/5): Family stay over - The stay was wonderful and comforting.... my family love staying in a hotel and they enjoyed this one very much, the fact theres a pub that serves food next to it is an extra bonus....
When we arrived, the receptionist Courtney was funny welcoming and full of banter/laughs very welcoming indeed. . She promised the breakfast was going to be nice and she was right. The food was fresh and edible and me and my kids and I enjoyed it... Angie, the chef, was lovely and helped make sure my daughters allergens were met properly so we had a lovely time
- FlushedinLancs (2/5): Very poor for standard expected of Premier Inn. - While in need of a refurbishment, there is no general standard and expected cleanliness. Carpets had not been vacuumed, skirtings and edges were filthy, dust and build up of skin and hair on general surfaces.
- LolandSteph (8/5): Good option for a business stay - The hotel is quite dated but has had some of the modern touches added in line with the chains upgrades. Such as touch screen vending machines in the lobby, car parking registration on check in screen, and the ability to purchase Premier Inn items from a touch screen in the check in area.
I found that the room was equipped with all the items you'd expect such as complimentary hot drinks, concealed wardrobe space, TV, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom in my room was quite tight so may have been a struggle for a larger person, but was suitable for me, although the shower system required major cleaning of limescale and the controls were damaged.
Overall it was still a good stay for me, as I was only there on business, so it was short term. Long term or for a holiday, it would not have been suitable as I'd have needed more space.
Its best attribute is how close it is to the amenities available at Festival Leisure Park.
- Teksing (8/5): Enjoy an upgrade - We upgraded so this was the first time at this particular hotel, room was ready for our early arrival. Room was very nice, a handy fridge for cold drinks and medication, some nice chocolates and at last decent tea bags, I usually take my own as their tea bags are awful, in the room was pukka tea bags, very nice. Shower was a let down, not enough pressure so it would be a nightmare if you have thick hair.
Breakfast, I’ve never stopped at a Premier where you help yourself to cooked breakfast, didn’t like this at all, some things are just warm and fried eggs are not good kept warm, much prefer having it cooked to order. Would I stay there again, yes I would, room was comfy and had a good sleep.
There is a TGI’s next door, don’t bother, it was dirty and expensive for what it is.
- Compass09794024067 (4/5): Not great - Dirty hallways like they hadn’t seen a hoover in months.
And a very poorly organised building evacuation when there was a false fire alarm at 6:30am on a Sunday morning.
- theblackvanman (10/5): Awesome breakfast and friendly, hopeful staff. - Superb as usual. Exceptional breakfast, nothing too much trouble, well cooked and presented as expected. It's a shame that one deranged lunatic guest decided she/it, needed to unjustly berate staff during a very busy breakfast service.
This ridiculous woman really showed herself up, her claims extremely loud of substandard food and service were not reciprocated by the other guests present. The way she spoke to staff, as well as launching items at them, was pure insanity. So much so I felt the need to make this review in their defence of any action she may take further up the chain of command.
Again, breakfast was awesome, as were the staff.
- rosepQ4301UD (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay - The young girl who checked us in was friendly and i have no complaints. The staff in the kitchen area in the morning were attentive and friendly. There was a lady serving at the hot counter and I had a lovely chat with her. Very impressed with my stay and the staff there. Overall a great stay!!
- tothebatpoles (6/5): Generally very good except for one thing - The hotel is in a nice quiet location yet very close to shops and restaurants. There is ample free parking. The room was comfortable and generally clean, although we did discover some dried human mucous on the wall next to the bed which was quite disgusting.
- A5840UWhazels (10/5): Best breakfast - Stayed for 5 nights as part of a family wedding. All staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.
Special mention for Harry the breakfast chef, best breakfast at a Premier Inn and we’ve tried a few! Everything was spotlessly clean and kept very hot.
My husband is gluten intolerant and asked for gf toast in a morning, Harry cooked it separately and delivered it personally to our table. It was obvious when he had a day off as standards slipped.
- G6780EGkimp (2/5): Awful - Awful 3 nights. Noisy pub next door, police called to car park twice during stay. On edge of trading estate. Rooms so hot, fans provided but just blow hot air around. Breakfast poor, Staff always sat outside front smoking on the steps. Rooms dirty and bathroom all limescaled. Will not be staying here again!
- nigkit (2/5): Really grotty hotel and way below standard expected of premier inn @£140 night - Avoid this hotel .£140 night no aircon and was told if you need house keeping let know by 11am as they hard to get .The room smell and fan on .Think they need to invest in few Henry hoovers for stairs and hallways and some dusters .Worst premier inn stayed in and won’t be returning .
- Stella201333 (8/5): Would stay again - Friendly customer service especially Mr. Aymen, very polite and courteous, asked how the room was and ready to help if we needed, it's always nice to be warmly welcomed, he was great and so was the other man who checked us in. We didn't realise then but would've asked for a room on the ground or first floor, it was just too long a walk to the entrance every time we left and returned during our 2 day stay.
Room was a bit rundown, taps and shower need a deep clean, the fan provided worked well but the room was still a bit warm overall and since the TV volume was set to 15, we could barely hear anything unless we switched the fan off! Can't stress enough, it's noticeable at every Premier Inn we go to, the shower curtain needs a wash too!
- Traveler45581440674 (2/5): Awful - Hardly slept a wink as the room was so hot, ended up with what seems like bites on my back, either from the bed or the heat I'm unsure.
- l_szl_m562 (2/5): Dirty, hot and rundown - avoid if you can - The staff was sort of nice and the breakfast was OK, but otger than that it was horrible. The room was dirty, the taps were covered in lime and rust, there was even a bit of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Every single piece of furniture was damaged. There is no AC, only some super noisy and dirty fans. The whole stay was awful, I would not recommend it to may worst enemy. The pictures on the website were probably made several years ago, in reality it looks nothing like the pictures.
- Super-sunshine-hols (10/5): Best Premier Inn I have experienced - Arrived too early to check in but plenty of spaces on the car park to leave the car. Returned at 3.00 pm to check in and was greeted with a nice welcome by the member of staff and check in was seamless. He gave us information about local transport options. The room is clean, comfortable and as expected from a Premier Inn. I do feel this is the best 1 I have stayed in.
- Venture35753078115 (10/5): Family friendly hotel - Just had a great few days with family on the south coast. We all met at stayed at this great hotel just off the M27 which was convenient for both directions and other places to go. Parking was easy when we arrived and we felt very welcomed by the receptionist. The hotel looked clean and tidy and the breakfast was very nice, the chefs and restaurant staff were all helpful and courteous, will definitely use this hotel again when in the area.
- pinterm2025 (2/5): Not up to standards, especially for the price. - Fareham Premier Inn was the worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in.
There was constant noise from the road, even with the windows shut, and the hallway noise throughout the night made it hard to sleep. The mattresses were completely worn out and in serious need of replacement. Honestly, I could almost overlook the dust and dirt in the room compared to the overall discomfort caused by the noise and the bed"
- HantsClive (10/5): Fabulous stay - Superb stay, staff all friendly. Rooms were lovely, a new style decor.
Breakfast was lovely, Clive was very friendly and welcoming.
Parking was easy at the hotel and the Whiteley shopping centre nearby had lots of restaurants and great for an evening out.
- R1717IZemanuelem (2/5): Worst experience! - No House keeping my room was dirty
I suggest to avoid that horrible breakfast super low quality food
Lost 1 hour to get my room for their policy rules
Mosquito in my room !!! Rumors from outside and other room …could not sleep worst experience in my life !
- F3202NKstevem (2/5): It's hot. Damn hot! Real hot! - Booked 4 nights, only lasted 2. ROOM 220.
Rooms 29'c all day/night. Powerful but very dirty fan for "cooling"
Window opens an inch, with fly net in front of it.
4am first morning, i needed to get outside for air, 2nd night my son went to reception at 3am to ask for another fan and was refused.
Asked for a bed change after 1st night and while the room was tidied up and towels replaced, the bad was not changed.
Courtney and Hannah? Were really helpful. We didn't bother with £11 breakfasts, Greggs was a 5 min drive away!
Managed to get our 4th night cancelled, now the fight starts to get the rest of our stay refunded. #GoodNightGuarantee
- canvey68 (2/5): Never again - The rooms were at one point 30 degrees. The fan was not up to the job. Continental breakfast turned into ask for the items because everything had run out. But staff where there just eating there toasted crumpets. While customers had to ask. Really. Not good enough.
- uwumehgamex (2/5): WORST PREMIER INN EVER STAYED IN! AVOID ! - Absolutely the worst Premier Inn ive ever stayed in! ( and ive stayed all over the country) we got here, and had a family room booked for 4, gets to the room, 2 mugs and only enough tea / etc for 2 people, and a really limescale dirty kettle! Room 30 degrees no air conditioning, windows only open a couple of inches and 2 fans that just circle hot air! Even after showering your a hot mess trying to get ready in such heat! Asked for the room to be made up, after night 1, came back no new hand towel or bath mat! Also breakfast we had on the first morning, was dry under heat lamps, for a premier inn its nothing lile your normal breakfast you get! Run out of this and that, its a weekend for goodness sake, it should be fully stocked! Location is awful down near the back of warehouses all overgrown bushes etc and a carpark full of glasses and bottles from the pub next door! I informed staff on reception who werent bothered just said " oh it will be from the pub!" PLEASE DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY TRY THE TRAVELODGE INSTEAD LOCATED ON FESTIVAL PARK, WE DEFINITELY WILL NEXT TIME!
- tomeko (10/5): - Loved the property and the staff
- clairefR3153XI (10/5): Breakfast time - Visited for breakfast and it was absolutely lovely. Really clean and well presented and good was tasty. Staff were really friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough to help. It was Tara, grace,Yvette and Tina on shift. Will be visiting again soon
- teresar66 (8/5): One night stay. - Excellent staff. Good breakfast.
No air con but fan in room. It was very warm.
Twin room- large, clean and comfortable beds.
No lift. Tricky to drag suitcases up the stairs.
Good parking.
- machinmad (6/5): Unclean toilet ... - Easy to find with plenty of parking. The receptionist was friendly, efficient and helpful. It’s a modern building so the rooms were on the better side of most PI rooms…lots of sockets, roomy and clean. But the toilet in the bathroom was not clean which is a big red-flag. The free WiFi is pretty slow, as the want you to pay for the upgraded service.
- thewalkingpixie (2/5): Terribly neglected, damp hotel - This hotel is desperately in need of tlc. The outside was tatty, the room and bedding were both damp. Hotel was full no chance of changing rooms although this was requested.
- DD_DOUBLE_D (2/5): Not quite right! - Upon arrival, we immediately noticed pieces of paper and a used cotton bud down the side of one of the beds. This is something that should have been clearly visible to anyone making or inspecting the bed, suggesting that not only was the room not properly cleaned, but that no final quality or standards check had been conducted before the room was released for check-in.
More concerning still, we found four used contact lenses — three on the floor alongside a toenail clipping, and one on the bedside table. Additionally, the toilet bowl contained visible faeces, which was both shocking and completely unacceptable.
The mugs provided for tea and coffee had a green residue inside, raising serious hygiene concerns. All of this combined made us question whether the bed sheets had even been changed.
We were informed that no alternative rooms were available, and with no other accommodation options, we had no choice but to clean these issues ourselves in order to make the space minimally usable.
This experience has left us extremely dissatisfied and calls into question the standards of cleanliness and room preparation
