Guest Reviews
- jonathandL8389YI (10/5): Great staff for a pleasant stay. - I had a pleasant stay at the orbital in early December.
Room was no frills but provided everything needed for a good sleep.
Staff were very nice and attentive, both Katie and Louisa were a lovely sight to come back to after a hard day's work.
Local amenities are great and with handy access.
Recommended.

- kierancJ7714ZO (10/5): Solo stay - Very affordable, staff friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and tidy couldn’t ask for more, also staff was at hand to advise on local things to do and roadworks happening in the area

- P6244MVdavidc (10/5): Warm welcome friendly staff - Katie was amazing on reception. Very friendly and happy to help.
Clean and tidy .
Nice food and good beer bar staff happy to help.
- julievC1377IU (10/5): A relaxing stay - Great staff, friendly & helpful, rooms the usual standard (you generally know what you’ll get with a Premier Inn). Restaurant next door was decent food at a good price, friendly & efficient service. Parking seemed plentiful.
Would use this one again.
- Sun9179 (10/5): Friendliest Hotel around - Fantastic stay for one night stop over. The team are sooooo friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Rooms are comfy and clean. Carol on the front desk was really helpful with things to do in the local area !
The hotel is kept immaculate given how dated it is in comparison to other premier inns !
Thanks Carol and team
- craighR3153BN (4/5): Avoid Ground Floor Rooms - Check in quick and efficient, had to go back as room keys didn't work but all rectified.
Hotel a little tired looking and was the same on the room. However avoid staying on the ground floor, we were woken up at least 4 times during the night when the room above went to the loo or whatever they were doing stomping around in the middle of the night. Then again at 04:45 as they had a shower and generally stomped around packing I presume. Breakfast was good to be fair.
- Meander63402484719 (10/5): Working stay at Camborne - Lovely place
Really nice staff especially John, Amber & Lizzie who was also extremely easy on the eye too
Will be back again
- Surfer0Steve (10/5): Amazing staff, amazing stay! - We stopped here as we're were attending a funeral, the staff were super friendly and brightened up our mood, with extensive knowledge of local restaurants and area, the rooms we're spotless, very comfortable. Meg, Elizabeth and Joy, thank you for your kindness and wonderful sense of humour and professionalism. I can't wait to return!
- M4006LRmikek (10/5): Very friendly and professional - Lizzie and Meg were amazing very welcoming and helpful highly recommend would definitely come back when booking another trip to Cornwall on a work trip
- J2525KRphilipe (8/5): Great reception, restaurant short staffed. - Reception friendly and welcoming. We should have warned of accessibility needs before travelling but didn't- but reception happily found us a closer room to reception on request. Staff in the restaurant seemed short staff and not that attentive, but the food was very good.
- rjwatkinsw (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Absolutely amazing stay, the whole family was here for a Christening and everyone loved it. Great rooms and such friendly helpful staff who really went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. Thank you so so very much!
- shaunamK8058XG (2/5): Not great. - The staff were great.
The bathrooms need some tlc as they just look unclean and dingy.
The rooms look tired & the location is not great due to the noise from the busy road.
- GrandTour10345162890 (4/5): Electricity cut, disgusting breakfast with limited choice - Room was too hot, A/C didnt work and was noisy, power cut during the night for hours so no electricity, Breakfast awful, cold and poor selection. Left review and complaint but no response
- W4981QQelaineb (8/5): Good place to stay - Good place to stay and good location. Friendly staff and had a good night's sleep. Also did good food. Will definitely stay again.
- D1531ZTmartinw (10/5): Reception staff - Amazing service from Lizzie and Meg tonight, as soon as we walked in you could see they were doing the job of 6 people, rushed off thier feet but handling it all cool, calm and professionally, a credit to any employer, Fantastic job ladies
- brettwalesw (10/5): Good hotel. Friendly team. - Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, room clean and area was quiet. Handy for RMAS. Would recommend to book.
- PennyW1236 (10/5): Great place to stay! - Brilliant stay. Staff are very friendly and keen to-make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is clean and tidy and breakfast is well cooked and hot!
Also has air conditioning and heating. It only has a few rooms so you need to book early, but has a very friendly small guest house feel, whilst still being the familiar premier inn. Katie was great and made us feel very welcome. Noise insulation is perfect
- R9476JLkevinm (10/5): Great staff members - "Absolutely fantastic experience! Poppy and Louise were amazing - super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. When an issue arose, they sprang into action and sorted it out in no time. The ladies at the front of house were delightful to deal with - so helpful and friendly. We felt truly looked after and can't wait to stay again! Great people make great staff 👏👏👏
- juliant291 (10/5): A friendly welcome and a handy location - You always know what you are going to get with a Premier Inn, and this is no different. Handy for shopping and a 15 minute drive from Cannock Chase for walking and mountain biking. Thanks to Katie and all the staff for a warm and friendly welcome.
- paulsR8647JU (10/5): Friendly and welcoming staff - The receptionists Elizabeth and Jenny were very friendly and welcoming, my room was very clean and the bed comfortable, I would definitely stay here again. 👌
- L7550HFpaulb (10/5): Excellent Service - Elizabeth & Jenny offered excellent advice on local amenities and were a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely come again
- O5519SDrussellw (6/5): Tired and dated by Premier Inn standards - Premier Inn is our go to when ever we travel as you know what to expect.
We booked Premier Inn Sandhurst as we were attending a family Christening nearby. The hotel is situated on a busy junction and entrance to the car park wasn't well signposted and the exit is straight on to the junction so difficult to navigate.
The service at reception was extremely slow by Premier Inn standards with the receptionist taking a while to come to the desk and not really offering an explanation.
The rooms were standard Premier Inn which was what we expected, clean and functional.
We booked the meal deal which came with some surcharges on some dishes but generally represented good value although whenever I travel alone, I don't have breakfast choosing to buy something on the go instead.
The quality of our evening meal was OK as was the service. However, I was extremely disappointed that they refused to allow by 16 year old son to have a bottle of larger with me for our meal. Whilst acknowledging that it is up to the individual establishment, the law states that children of 14 can drink alcohol with a meal if supervised by a parent and we found the attitude of the waitress quite outdated.
Service at breakfast meanwhile was slow and in keeping with Premier Inn, generally poor value.
- francoist861 (10/5): Great reception - Booking in for my room and sorting any issues was bliss due to the two receptionist lizzie and Jen . Both of them made me feel welcome so far from home which was greatly appreciated. Rooms are cozy with all the amenities you would need for a short stay with your own ac that keeps you cool during the night . Gotta say one of my better hotel experiences and if sent down here again for work I would not protest that .
- SunderlandBobbi (10/5): Family visit - Yet another fabulous stay at Camborne Premier Inn 👏 .
Clean rooms , fast fill baths , blackout curtains an extremely comfortable bed !!!!
All the staff are so friendly and a special shout out to Lizzy and Mark who came to my rescue when I forgot order my drink 😁😁😁 Absolute stars 🌟 I will be returning 😀.
- christophertY970ED (8/5): Good value hotel - Stayed on a Sunday night at very low room rate.
Bed comfortable and room and bathroom clean and all we needed.
Confusion over late check out Monday morning was a disappointment as it really should be a simple request.
Fulfilled in the end.
Beefeater next door in the evening was very good value if not Michelin star, tasty and good.
The steak pie and chips recommended.
Others enjoyed the 4 starter as a main dish offer.
We enjoyed a very good English breakfast and 2 x continental for our party on Monday morning.
Overall, good value
- buzzard2000 (6/5): Excellent staff, filthy kettle. - Despite what appears to be quadruple glazing it was still possible to hear road noise. While this mostly was not too bad the occasional motorcycles revving up and the sirens of the emergency vehicles were definitely irritating. We had read the reviews, we had earplugs.
The kettle in our room was really badly stained - deep brown - and my wife was displaced that I accepted a replacement that was also stained, although not as badly. She thought it looked like mould spots and boiled/ drained the kettle 3 times before she was prepared to use it. She recommends they boil a bit of vinegar in there if descaling does not work.
Breakfast was the usual PI breakfast but there was a shortage of meat in the cottage pie for dinner.
The only reason this is not a lower rating is that all the staff were excellent.
- jaqandjohn (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Have just returned from a 4 day stay in the Premier Cambourne. We stayed in a Premier Inn Plus room which was delightful. The Reception staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble .Thank you Marc for getting me a bath mat.
Room was immaculate so a big thank you to House Keeping.
So thank you all for a perfect stay will be back. Youre all a credit to Premier.
- christiangX1868MV (2/5): Choose the other Cannock Premier Inn - I stay away in Premier Inns 4 nights a week all over the country and this is by far the worst. I got put in a disabled room that was so depressing. Tiny TV and I couldn't use the "wet room" as the disability seat was in the way (attached to the wall).
The restaurant is just as bad! Smelt damp, had about half the menu "unavaible" and on the second night, the restaurant was packed and they only had two people serving on the bar (how you order your food). They had a que of people waiting stretching the length of the bar.
The WiFi is pitiful, even at full bars it struggles to send an email.
If you need to stay in the area choose the other Cannock Premier Inn as id rather stay in a piss soaked door way, than stay here again.
- Camper44839370233 (10/5): Most Amazing Premiere Inn - Where do I start the staff at Orbital are truly amazing, The manager Carol is so helpful and will make anyone’s stay amazing Katie is a breath of fresh air very helpful very chirpy can pull a mean pint if needed both in my eyes and all staff at Orbital Premiere inn make it a magical experience highly recommended to come and stay.
- S7702JBedwardh (10/5): Staff sets this one apart. - I travel a lot with work and stay in all sorts of hotels, but Premier Inn Sandhurst is one I always look forward to returning to, and that’s all down to the amazing staff.
Tammy and Elizabeth on Reception are just fantastic. Always so friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They really make me feel at home from the moment I walk through the door. It’s the little things they do that make such a big difference after a long day far from home.
Special mention to Ben in the restaurant who always makes breakfast a chilled and great start to my day.
The rooms are everything you expect from a Premier Inn; clean, comfortable, and quiet. But it’s the team here that really sets this place apart from the rest. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re in need of a nice nights sleep in the area.
- craigcP8077FQ (6/5): Disappointed with the breakfast - Hotel was good, clean and had helpful staff...
Paid for unlimited breakfast, waited 20 minute to give my order. Food was served fast. After completing I was asked if I wanted anything else, so I asked the server to come back to take my order in 5 minutes. Nobody came back within half an hour so I got up and left. Pretty disappointing when you pay extra for unlimited and they limit the service.
- james (8/5): - The hotel is dated but sufficient for the price. Breakfast was wonderful
- Z8757GEkimw (10/5): Wedding and sightseeing - Camborne premier inn is so accessible and in the perfect location to explore Cornwall. Service and cleanliness was excellent. The premium rooms are definitely worth the little extra in cost. Highly recommended.
- CoupeColonel (8/5): Clean efficient but soulless. - Very efficient check in. Decent sized room and all very clean, but absolutely soulless. The ‘unlimited’ breakfast is actually served to your place and while you can order as much as you want nobody came back to ask if I wanted more. Overall Good enough.
- 170aded (10/5): Best premier inn - Had the lovely Rianne and Elizabeth check me in, amazing customer service, they had a great relationship as one was learning the ropes of reception, great ladies, had smiles on their faces throughout, and nothing was too much to ask for, premier Inn should be very proud of these ladies and the professional attitudes they showed . Will definitely come back for the great atmosphere and vibe
- Nickdav86 (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel with large comfy rooms that were clean. The shower in the bathroom could have been better and so could the service at breakfast. The staff however were friendly and welcoming and the premier inn staff on reception were efficient.
- berryandshaun (8/5): Great location - Great location for travelling to different parts of Cornwall. All the reception staff were friendly. It is let down a bit by the table table restaurant serving breakfast. The coffee cups are disgusting, not sure how they can call them clean.
- kimhA67MW (10/5): During the week stay - When we arrived at the Premier Inn, we were greeted by staff (Tammy & Elizabeth). They were very helpful and extremely friendly. Made us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond for our comfort. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.
- laurajayned2017 (8/5): Overall, pretty good and would stay again providing the room is warmed up!! - Fantastic welcome, sweet and friendly lady on reception.
Very comfy bed, spacious rooms and very clean.
A quiet location too so a very restful sleep (despite the flat pillows).
A bit of a chilly room but I spent so little time there that it did not matter (literally just used for sleep)
- Getaway36113759234 (10/5): Amazing professional staff member Lizzy - Had an amazing stay, accommodation was clean tidy the receptionist Lizzy what a beautiful kind soul nothing was to much, so kind and friendly, i have a few needs and she made sure to do her up most to make me have a more comfortable relaxed stay. so welcoming, always there to help, quick with advice, so professional cant rate her enough she made my stay so relaxing,, I will definitely be staying again.
- jennycR1309CS (10/5): Elizabeth ! Thank you - What can I say. ELIZABETH !!!! Omg !! We dont get to go away EVER because we have a severely autistic son. But we bit the bullet and stayed here, and the lady Elizabeth was like an angel sent from above to us all and especially our son. The kindness and support she showed us as a family was like nothing we have ever experienced before. I cant even put into words what a fantastic caring helpful cheerful beautiful lady she is. I dont know if you do employee of the month there but if u do I can imagine she wins EVERY SINGLE MONTH !! This is the only place we would ever stay at again, and only if Elizabeth is working. Thank you for your kindness to our family and especially our son. He adored you and so did we. Thank you thank you thank you xx
- marshall19_10 (8/5): Short stay - Stayed here just for one night after a busy day at Thorpe park. We had 2 rooms, which were on different floors. Checked in swiftly with a very warm welcome. Rooms were as you'd expect. Clean and equipped. Comfortable stay. Only issue was with our upstairs neighbours banging around all through the night unfortunately so didn't sleep well also had the same issue with the other room but next door. Can't help other people's inconsiderate nature sadly. Hotel was located well for what we wanted. Rooms are so warm tho they did provide a fan. Would stay again and would recommend.
- demieb2025 (10/5): Couples break - Me and my partner came and stayed for a few nights, staff were very helpful especially lizzy, she made sure we had everything we need, was so so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will defo be back! Felt like home from home. We really Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. 🥰
- Wander55174051994 (10/5): WOW - I stayed here again after recently staying in February, where we were greeted by Harley the hotel manager! He was also the one who checked us in last time.
Nothing but a warm welcoming smile by him and some funny banter. which we were also greeted with by Elisabeth in the morning. In the years I have stayed with premier inn this team are the only ones who have made me feel like I was checking in to a friend’s house. We will be definitely coming back again!
- Ant-Jones-86 (10/5): Well situated, quality hotel - We stayed here for 3 nights and used it as a base whilst we visited attractions in the area. The hotel is well located off the main road, ample parking and a nice restaurant next door. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout, the room was well maintained and had everything you would expect (kettle, tea, coffee, decent shower & plenty of towels). The only dig I could have at the place is it has no air con and the rooms got extremely warm but they provided fans in the rooms which helped. Train station is 15 minute walk away with trains to London Waterloo, big kids park 5 minutes walk away and a massive Tesco 3 minute drive away. For anyone visiting Legoland, Chessington or a day trip into London I would recomthis place.
- emilysU4220FB (10/5): Fantastic stay. - All the staff have been wonderful, All staff have been approachable and easy to talk to (including the cleaning staff).
We asked for our bins to be emptied daily (a must with a toddler), we were surprised when we came back on our 2nd day having asked for just the bins to be emptied but they had done a proper clean (thank you!).
We hope to come back in the near future, to stay here and explore the area some more.
Thank you for making our holiday easier and more comfortable!
- N1561EGmichelleh (10/5): Excellent staff - Excellent staff and when asked for a simple din change the cleaner made beds, hoovered, cleaned the bathroom and got us new towels.
- OMcGovern (8/5): Ticks the main boxes for value... - For a family one night stay at £75.98 including breakfast... it worked.
£54.00 for a family room (2 adults, 2 children) then £21.98 for two adult breakfasts (which included two free childrens breakfasts)
We were due to drive from Holyhead to Newport.. around a 6 hour drive but due to storm Floris we decided to arrive 1 day earlier and have a midway stopover.
I do like the Premier Inns, they're normally good (except Maidenhead)
Cannock Orbital had free parking, clean, good breakfast etc.
The TV was small. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and the carvery was sold out, they directed us to the sister Beefeater in Cannock. We drove there and their carvery was also sold out. It would've been nice if they rang their other branch than blindly send us there. We ended up eating in the other Beefeater and didn't spend as much, I would've had a few glasses of wine if I wasn't driving.
Other things to mention, there was only one plug on one side of the main bed and no usb charger ports. (I've been in better Premier Inns where they had plugs/usb chargers on each side of the bed)
As a cheap stopover, it worked well just off the motorway.
It would've been nice to have a bigger TV and plugs each side of the bed, so I deducted a point. But... I'd stay there again if I really needed to break up a long drive.
- smith4442013 (2/5): Lorry park - Lorry park.
Pub perfect food great rooms clean
Downside artic Lorry’s park up right outside your window with the engine running can see inside your room this goes on all night.
Poor show.
- cazzd2015 (10/5): Great stay - My wife and I had 2 wonderful nights in this fine premier inn (Cannock) we were looked after and left us very pleased with our choice of hotel - we found a very warm professional team here and would not hesitate to recommend or make future bookings
- shaunamK8058XG (4/5): Disappointed - We were very disappointed with this Premier Inn. We have stayed at quite a few but this one we feel was the worse one so far. When we arrived it was a nightmare finding a parking space & when we finally entered the hotel there was nobody on reception. Room was clean but was quite dim & tired. Bed seemed alot smaller than what we have stayed in at previous Premier Inns and was quite hard. We went to the restaurant adjoining the hotel for dinner. The food wasn't great, but we were tired from travelling all day so couldn't be bothered to go out to look for somewhere else.
- stephengR5490AA (10/5): Great service and staff really helpful. - We have used this hotel on many occasions and have always found the staff to be exceptional especially the manager Carol. The bedrooms an simple but functional and the beds are super comfortable.
- G2172NYjanek (10/5): Down for 40th birthday - Very good, we had a great time! Staff lovely, clean room, nothing fancy but just perfect for us! We had had a evening meal and breakfast, both very good and very enjoyable. The staff were outstanding
- seanbY4891WW (10/5): Over all 10/10, can't fault it at all, really happy - Hotel very clean staff were really friendly and helpful, the bar staff downstairs were very helpful and friendly also food was 10/10 price was good cannot fault the place at all.
- Vacation08814344560 (2/5): Evening restaurant staff disgraceful Beefeater - Firstly this review takes the shine from Tara the chef on breakfast duty to whom dished the best breakfast to date at Premier inn. After a long day at work I went into the restaurant I ordered my drink to which arrived, asking if I could place my food order I was advised I had to wait for Charlie! I saw a young person taking food orders from people around me but nothing! I then saw the same person cleaning a large table to seat 6 person so I asked kindly if they could take my food orders, only to be told that they were busy and there were a lot of people that needed food, bear in mind there was at this time no one waiting to be seated and nor was it exceptionally busy hence they were cleaning a table, so I replied so you”d rather clean the table then take my food order from a paying customer and they carried on cleaning the table, so I left in disgust as they do not deserve my money and this individual needs retraining as to address paying customer, because without us you would not have tables to clean!!!! And it’s not like there were not any other clean tables so cannot understand the logic other than being ignorant !!! So from that experience I will not stay at this Premier Inn again, so well done, total disrespect for paying customers. My disgust is with the restaurant and not the hotel itself but you stay at the hotel for the whole package! P.S just to advise the room is extremely hot, even with window open and the fan supplied in the room does nothing other than blow warm air about the room.
- marcwB1041OQ (10/5): Great staff, hot room - When I arrived after a long day at work followed by a two hour drive I was greeted by the wonderful Elizabeth who gave me a big smile and welcomed me like I was one of her family. She was fantastic, very friendly, polite and extremely professional. I have been to a lot of your establishments with my work, and she really stands out. You should train your staff based on what she does. The only thing I would say is as the weather seems to be getting hotter each year for longer the chain should invest in air conditioning as the room was roasting, I know you guys pride yourselves on giving a great nights sleep, but that is very difficult to achieve when the widows don’t open and there is just a fan blowing warm air around the room. TLDR:- Great staff room too hot.
- Dave-D-Parker (2/5): A farce over nothing - Stayed here as we were visiting family nearby for a wedding. We booked multiple rooms however these weren’t together allocated together.
After the wedding we had a drink in the room, wife, daughter, boyfriend, myself etc and daughter put on some background music on her PHONE.
We had staff knocking the door telling us to keep quiet and pushing notes under the door! What a joke!
We were just chatting and having a drink. We weren’t shouting or dancing or particularly noisy! And background music from a PHONE isn’t loud.
Had they put all the rooms we booked together rather than allocating them across multiple floors perhaps it would have stopped the pedantic neighbours complaining??
But surely any Manager worth the title of “Manager” would have told the complainer than we were not being excessively loud, we were just talking and had background music on. What a farce over nothing.
