Guest Reviews
- Gurpreet (8/5): - Decent
- Richardson1969 (2/5): I’d rather sleep in a Thai Jail - I cannot describe how far below standard Premier Inn standards this place is. I have a Business Booker account with Premier Inn and stay 1 or 2 nights every week, this place needs to be deleted from their portfolio and shut down, it is truly dreadful.
Forgetting the obvious things that other reviews say about no parking, terrible food, no Aircon and poor standards of cleaning, for me (staying in December) no heating in the rooms (and I do mean plural because I had to change due to the noise coming from the floor above) is unforgivable. To walk into two separate rooms, both of them having their windows wide open so there resemble a fridge and to have no form of heating apart from a tiny in adequate oil heater is simply diabolical. On top of that to reiterate, terrible standards of cleaning and poor decoration. The televisions in both of the rooms, were set to a volume that I could not even detect what was being said is ridiculous but that is clearly only because all of the walls and floors are Way for thin because I could honestly hear the ants walking around in the room above me. There are several Premier Inn in Bournemouth, and all of the others range from good to excellent, this place rates 0 out of 10. Once again, I will be requesting a full refund from Premier Inn business accounts, as there is no way I will be playing paying for this stay.
- greamel2021 (2/5): Be careful what you look for - We had a very bad experience not been looked after by the Premier Inn as they advertise on TV causing us to come home early of the pain $400 for the weekend included the car park free outside that was a fortune
- dionnestrange (10/5): Miguel was the best! - We had the best experience at the Premier Inn Central Bournemouth. We booked 5 rooms as a family to celebrate my daughter’s graduation taking place at The Pavilion across the road. The hotel was perfectly located for this but also for everything Bournemouth has to offer; the pier, beaches, gardens, bars, restaurants and shopping. The price for the best rooms was great value for money and breakfast was great. The rooms were clean, well stocked and so well sound proofed. We had the best nights sleep. Beds, quilts and pillows were spotless and top quality. Two of our rooms were booked for 2 nights and Miguel on Reception made the whole experience simple and stress free. I can’t thank him enough.
- MAXWELL5_11 (10/5): Perfect for visit to Lapland Uk - A perfect hotel for family stays
We went as a family with grandchildren in tow. The rooms were perfect and fine for our needs , clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and accommodating.
The attached restaurant was great for our needs. The staff were very friendly and the menu suited the children too. We used it for both breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the food. Thanks to Emil and Sheila who looked after us so well
- Trustpilot1962 (10/5): LUCY ELSOM MANAGER GOLD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ - This was an enquiry, before booking. Lucy made a really stressful situation into a comforting relaxing experience. She listened to my concerns, showed complete empathy and was able to assist with no hassle.
I wish all managers had these skills.
She is one in a million!!! 👌
- ashleycO1533BD (10/5): Letter of Commendation - Letter of Commendation
To the Management Team,
I don’t often find the time — or the genuine need — to write letters of commendation. I travel extensively for work and stay across a broad range of hotel groups, from IHG and Hyatt to Marriott and Hilton. Consistency varies, service varies, and usually the experience is simply “good enough” for the nature of my job.
My two-week stay at Premier Inn has stood out so clearly that it warranted being put on record.
Everything started with a genuine welcome from the two lynchpins of your hotel, Gary and Brogan. Their professionalism, warmth, and day-to-day presence set the tone from the moment I arrived. They remained visible and engaged throughout my stay, and in my view they are managers in all but title — the type of talent any organisation should be developing for the next step.
They were supported by an excellent night team who handled my overnight working patterns and regular late-night cigarette breaks with patience, good humour, and a constant “Is there anything you need?” attitude. Not once did I feel like an inconvenience; if anything, they made the disruption feel normal.
The service has been seamless, consistent, and genuinely welcoming in a way that’s rare in this industry.
Please pass on my thanks to the whole team. They are a credit to your brand, and they made what could have been a stressful two weeks feel comfortable, supported, and easy.
Kind regards,
Ashley Cave
- Trail17366925636 (10/5): The premier, Premier Inn! - I've stayed in a tonne of Premier Inns over the UK due to the nature of my work, but in this instance I popped down to visit a couple of friends. Miguel takes the crown for the best service I've received in a PI to date. Accommodating, friendly, personal and funny. A real pleasure to stay and I will return. Huge thanks to Miguel and the team!
- joannafQ6526DB (2/5): Very disappointed - There is NO heating at all at this hotel, or so the man in front desk told us, we had none in our room and was given an oil heater that took hours to even start to warm the room, there is also no parking which does state on site however directions for car park to use are useless. Breakfast was a shambles, no fresh food and 1 coffee machine broken and 1 empty, tables not cleared or cleaned. Wallpaper hanging off walls in corridors. I have stayed in many premier inns over the years and this has to be worst yet. I have 5 more different locations booked over the next few months at premier inns but am now reconsidering my choice in hotels. This hotel was not modern, clean or comfortable.
- A6069MUvictoriaj (10/5): 10/10 - We booked for 2 nights, the hotel was exceptionally clean. We had a family room which was perfect
The restaurant and food quality was amazing and Miguel went above and beyond for us he is a true asset to the hotel
Most definitely would book again such a pleasant experience thank you Miguel and staff keep up the great work
- M9615NTannem (10/5): ! night stay for Theatre show - Have stayed at various Premier Inns but this one is the best. The location is perfect. The rooms are lovely , staff are very attentive ,go above and beyond. It was lovely to see Miguel the manager having met him previously at another hotel, one of the nicest men you could meet, genuinely interested in his customers, interacting with them and getting to know them rather than sitting in an office. I look forward to coming back in the future.
- U8987TAsimonj (10/5): Overnight stay - Clean, comfortable room with a great shower. Good, friendly service. Had a drink in the bar to finish a day out, also good service and a nice bar area.
- 755dannyi (10/5): Brilliant staff - I received brilliant service by Sheila at breakfast she was very helpful and polite and couldn’t ask for a better service
- AmyTravelsTheWorld22 (10/5): Fantastic hotel, amazing staff that go above and beyond - The hotel is lovely, the location is great just by town and the beach with plenty to do around! We had a lovely welcome from Miguel who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, the room was stunning I didn’t even know premier inn did rooms this nice! The view from the window was gorgeous, it’s just a shame you can’t go onto the balcony! Overall I’d highly recommend and a huge thank you to Miguel for making our stay so amazing!
- TDHD0222 (2/5): Disgusting - Disgusted! £240 for a 2 night stay! If I had a van I would have slept in it! Room and bathroom outdated and smelly! Shower looked and smelled urine stained! Restaurant Ha! Again a cook who can’t poach an egg! More Brittania than Premier! A race to the the bottom! Close it
- ninarO2104TA (10/5): Great time, lovely hotel and bar! - Miguel was a ledgend! He really looked after us on my partners birthday, made the check in so easy and he was so pocket and funny.. the bar was great and cosy.. we had a wonderful time thank you!!
- V4909IFelizabethm (10/5): Lovely stay! - Amazing stay at the Bournemouth Central premier inn. This was the cleanest premier inn I have stayed in for a long long time.
Staff very friendly and helpful and Miguel the manger made us feel at home. Well done, great hotel for visiting Bournemouth.
- A9720UNgillianw (10/5): Solo female traveller business trip - Miguel and his team were outstanding. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe, the room was really clean and the bed super comfy and the food was great. Would 💯recommend!
- rebeccapO454IB (10/5): Convenient location for Lapland UK - Stayed here when taking our 2 grandchildren to Lapland UK.
Hotel was easy to find, staff were lovely. Room was good. Price was excellent and included free breakfast for the little ones.
- Daydream19078281024 (10/5): Above Average Premier Inn - One of the better Premier Inns we have stayed at. Good location - opposite the Pavilion theatre and the gardens, and about 10 minutes' walk from the front.
Our room (217) was comfortable even without aircon (our window opened for fresh air). We had an electric radiator to keep the room warm.
Breakfast was pleasant - no crowds & no kids, with a good choice of fresh food in the buffet. Miguel looked after all his customers well.
Our only concern was the dubious characters hanging around outside the hotel when we returned at 10 o'clock in the evening. There was no one manning the reception desk and any of these characters voukd gave walked into the hotel unchallenged.
Otherwise, a good choice.
- Tourist543706 (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Enjoyable stay. Friendly, welcoming staff in reception and restaurant. The bedroom was a good size and clean. Would return.
- O8751WGsued (10/5): Friendly, happy staff makes all the difference. - Very friendly staff both in reception and in restaurant. Went out there way to have conversation with us about how we plan to spend our day and on return was keen to ask the kids whether they had a wonderful day. Little things like this goes along way.
- Q3475CChenrym (10/5): Excellent customer service - Miguel and his team were excellent and very accommodating, they were very understanding when we needed food and slightly awkward times. Great service
- amandayV2754YW (6/5): Clean hotel, but room issues and lifts off overnight made the stay below the usual Premier Inn standard. - We stayed overnight for my stepson’s graduation and, having always had great stays with Premier Inn, we expected the same. Sadly, this visit was disappointing.
Our 7th-floor room was quite small and the heating/AC panel was broken. We were given a portable heater and fan instead, but this wasn’t mentioned at check-in. After a full day of celebrating, we returned at 11pm to find the lifts out of use from 10pm–8am. Having to walk up seven flights of stairs was exhausting and would be extremely difficult for anyone with mobility issues – something that should be made clear before booking, especially as the premium rooms are on the higher floors.
The mattress was lumpy, we only had one very flat pillow each, the extractor fan didn’t work, there was no toilet brush, and the bathroom light switch being outside the room meant it lit up the whole room during the night.
The hotel was clean and nicely presented, but overall the room and lift situation made this stay fall below the usual Premier Inn standards we’ve experienced in the past.
- Expedition157166 (10/5): Enjoyable and relaxing stay. - Very friendly staff, very clean and relaxing atmosphere.
Very clean in hallways, dining areas and bar area.
Cleanliness is very important as can fully relax.
Bathroom excellent.
Very easy no problem locating hotel
- Dreamer29644428355 (10/5): Lovely Stay - We booked this as it was one of the few places that offered a family room while we were staying in Bournemouth overnight for a concert. Location is great with a public car park right opposite. A short walk to the town, gardens and seafront. The room we had right on the top floor was very clean, tidy and also very quiet (other than the weather which is nothing to do with the hotel). It was also nice to have a separate sleeping area for the kids. Miguel the manager was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. Will stay again if in the area.
- Fastbike666 (10/5): Excellent place to stay. - Excellent location for the seafront and town. Lovely clean and tidy room. Good facilities. Very pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
- 195clarei (8/5): Fantastic - Apart from the parking nightmare the staff were fantastic. The children’s meal was also delicious and excellent value. Staff went out of their way, friendly and efficient. Room was very good value and spacious, clean. Very quiet night’s sleep too considering it was Halloween
- chelseahQ9544LD (10/5): Lovely hotel - Stayed for a couple of nights while visiting family, the receptionist was welcoming and helpful. Booking in was quick and easy.
The room was very clean and comfortable . The bathroom was lovely and clean , we asked for extra towels which as given to us very quickly.
The breakfast was really nice. We could order our eggs freshly made ,
Staff are friendly and, welcoming
- Curiosity48243110716 (10/5): Great stay near the beach - Great location, comfortable stay. Great rates including breakfast. Catered for my dietary needs (coeliac) really well. Friendly helpful staff too. Parking near is expensive so go to central car park which is £6.20 for 24 hrs and a short walk away.
- X4312LRsarahb (10/5): Very happy - Miguel was very helpful and friendly, made us all feel very welcome. Hotel was spotless and breakfast hot and lots of it.
- Z5416YUpaulj (10/5): Business trip - Fantastic hotel, very close to southern industrial area and restaurant was good as well. Car parking wasn't a problem and staff were all pleasant and helpful.
- Coldw4rning (4/5): If you have the choice of staying somewhere else, take it! - Coming down to Bournemouth for a concert at the BIC, so location-wise the Premier Inn was ideal. Parking is available close to the hotel, but expensive, so parked a bit further away for £6 per day.
Check-in was ok and that’s probably the best thing I can say about the hotel.
I upgraded the room to a sea view, which would give me “a great view, a super-comfy bed - everything you need for a great night’s sleep”! The picture next to that statement shows a big room and a super-comfy looking bed! Sadly, that’s not what we ended up with. The room was on the 4th floor, tiny and contained the world’s most uncomfortable bed, the end of which was about 12 inches away from the wall with the tv on it, making it tricky to get to the other side of the bed. Built into this wall was the “wardrobe” which was capable of storing 4 or items.
Bathroom was ok, proportionally sized in line with the room.
Having seen the other hotels near to the Premier Inn, next time I stop in Bournemouth, I’ll book one of them instead.
- Cooperac (10/5): Exceptional Staff - Recently had a very pleasant stay at the Premier Inn Central, Bournemouth.
Miguel the manager was so helpful organising the ideal accommodation to suit myself and my elderly mother, who is partially sighted. Nothing is too much trouble for Miguel!
I highly rate this hotel.
- Cheekychappy39 (2/5): Awful restaurant staff - Whitbread have made a poor decision closing a Beefeater and leaving the F and B offering to be run by the Premier Inn. The management of this hotel need to get control of how it’s run. Three tables in on a Friday night, two staff sat down complaining about a dislike for children while the place looks dirty screams a lack of leadership. That being said the receptionist on duty was excellent and provided great customer service.
- Road81320 (8/5): Better Place to stay - First of all, the location is very convenient for transportation. The staff is clean and friendly. Only the WIFI could work a little more effectively. The messages came but I couldn't watch the video.
- RubyKitchen (6/5): Deserved a 4 - Just outside town centre on busy dual carriageway perfect for a work thing. Staff in the Premier and pub were first class, price good, beer excellent, rooms new. Food (fish and chips) hot. Why only a 3? The restaurant was dead and the portion small with batter a little soggy. Tasted fine and I feel guilty not giving a 4 but to be honest the food was just fuel on this occasion and did the job. As my school reports always said, could do better.
- Companion16352468167 (10/5): Fantastic - We stayed here as a group of ladies who meet up regularly for a catch up, the service was fantastic from check in to breakfast. The manager was lovely and the receptionist was so helpful too. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
- Fabwitch (4/5): Disruption from cleaning staff - The maid knocked on my door three times between 9.30 and 10.30am. I wanted a lay in. Gave up and got up and left hotel. Only to find all the trains were cancelled. Usually Brentwood is very good but to knock three times within the hour when I don’t need to leave the room until 12pm is not acceptable. All I wanted was some peace and quiet after a night out in town. Very disappointed . Also took ages to book in, only one machine to check inn and there was a school party being sorted out by the main desk. Very long queue built up to check in. Room was very good, clean and combed.
- Y3567WLkarenj (10/5): Great staff - Very welcoming!!
Ashleigh, Leaih, Mel, Sheila, Emile and the guy at Reception in the hotel, FANTASTIC all of them!! Wish everywhere I went had staff like them. Massive Thank you!
- lucyeZ4620XI (10/5): Great little stop off for work. - Love this hotel! It’s a lovely find in Bracknell when travelling for work.
The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, even the lovely ladies that clean the rooms! Very chatty in the mornings.
Thanks to all, I’ll be back when I travel the next time.
- kacperk114 (8/5): Great value for money - Overall had a great experience, rooms were very clean and neat. Definitely cannot complain about the price, staff were all lovely and welcoming especially a young lad called Samir I believe at front desk who carried my suitcase to my room. Overall great value for money and would definitely recommend!
- 364vanessac (2/5): Dreadful - What a dreadful dirty place. Finally met at reception by a scruffy person, asked for a different room that was not on the road front but told fully booked. Room was ok just so noisy. Booked a table in the restaurant for 19.30. Went to the bar first then headed into the restaurant 5 minutes early and was told table was not ready so go back to the bar. Eventually we were taken to a table which was dreadful right next to where they empty the slops and a bucket containing cutlery. No thanks said we didn’t want to sit there, no customer service and offered no where else so we walked away. The room was so noisy hardly any sleep would never ever return 😡
- Bondddana (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - I wouldn’t go back..
Corridors smell, the hotel is dated and the standard of rooms very poor.
We had one set of towels between us, broken curtains and a broken hair dryer.
- H9761QTsarahj (10/5): A good stay 🤩 - A lovely overnight stay from a wonderful day in Legoland with the family, from the outside the Premier Inn looks run down and in need of some TLC but in the inside it’s clean and tidy, the staff were great, professional and attended to all we needed, our family room was on the small side but for an overnight stay it was fine. Had a meal next door in what was the Beefeater and it was a lovely meal, only a couple of staff on but we didn’t wait long, did the meal deal which is still worth it, gave our kids a free breakfast each which was nice in the morning, all in all it was a good stay.
- BRIXHAMPIRATE (10/5): Overnight Stay - We stayed overnight going to our sons wedding in Norfolk. We booked a
Premier Plus room and was highly delighted with the room and a fabulous bathroom .It was room 805 which had views of the Main Street.
We parked in a small car park behind overnight and we had a great freshly cooked breakfast .Very central to the town and very clean .
- figarococonutties (10/5): Exceptional service & value for money ! - We stayed as a family of 4 with primary school aged kids in a family room, B&B, for 2 nights; we were attending a wedding a 15 minute drive away.
I have to write a review because the value for money & service we received was exceptional!
Quiet hotel, mega comfortable bed, friendly & professional staff, clean, fantastic bath & shower.
We were able to schedule an iron and ironing board & I needed a third key cut in between the wedding ceremony & evening reception and this was done no questions.
We’d missed dinner on our first night but they could advise where we could get fast food & supplied us with plates & cutlery to our door.
MASSIVE shout out to David in the PM & to Nicky and Co AM for the iron and being interested in the wedding we were attending.
Ideally located for Wokingham and we also found a local shop at the wild ridings estate; enjoyed shopping at the lexicon & bowling at the Hollywood bowl. My kids didn’t want to leave !
It was a really relaxed stay and the breakfast was top notch - do order a full English because it was perfectly cooked !
- 158jay (2/5): Premiere inn employee woke me up at 430am - I was woke up at around 4:30am because a Premiere In employee thought it was a good idea to change the bin bag in the metal bin on the concrete right under my window. He then took it inside and banged around for another 15 mins. Premiere inn have not replied after saying 'No-one remebers this'. Of course they didn't!!!!
- 897louiseh (10/5): A lovely stay in Brentwood, just a minute from the train station too! - Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Premiere Inn Brentwood, constantly working hard all weekend, to ensure an ideal stay for us.
Led by an excellent lady manager (unfortunately I didn’t get her name)
Thank you very much!
- V3066PRdanielj (4/5): Wasnt amazing. Wouldnt visit again - Parking didnt have any cost me an extra £17
Staff on checking in very cold, not very polite. Didnt care attitude.
Room the tv didnt work.
Wifi kept lagging even though upgraded it.
Fire alarm was ringing aroubd 3pm on morning to find out theres no fire..
- martinrW7809EB (10/5): Overnight stay - We needed to stay overnight on our way to our sons wedding in North Norfolk.Booking in was a delight and very easy .The room 805 was on the eighth floor and was very clean .We parked at the the car park at the rear of the hotel. Great night sleep and a good breakfast .Will certainly be staying again ,good value ,staff very helpful .
- eveu2018 (6/5): Weekend stay - Very noisy, Four men arguing at the main entrance and they was just left to talk and chat loudly for over two hours so could not sleep
Stairwell and corridors were very dirty and not cleaned,
Car parking is an extra charge and a total rip off.
- stefanwA8027YE (6/5): It was ok - The parking was very easy at the hotel, the hotel and rooms were clean. However, the rooms were VERY hot! No Aircon, just a small fan that did nothing.
Meal times were very slow, 2 staff waiting tables, one night we went in at 6pm as booked, to be told it will be a wait because they already had 3 tables in for that slot (not sure that's our fault?). We were a group of 7, but evening meals took 2.5h, with a wait of almost an hour for the meal (which is not ideal with 3 kids).
We will still be back, because the location and cost only
- U68LAsallyh (2/5): Dreadful - Terrible parking facilities - nearest was station which only covered the car til 4.30am ridiculous so ended up paying 2 days
Hotel shabby couple making out on stairwell - publicly
Deffo avoid and I will remove from our business booker
- mirians967 (8/5): Highly recommended but ask for more towels - The Premier Inn in Brentwood was very good. I will certainly stay there again and highly recommend it.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
The only disadvantages were only two tea bags and no coffee in our room plus just one hand towel and one bath towel.
It would be useful to be told when booking in, where to get more.
- elisef925 (6/5): Review - The room was lovely but the staff were rude. We attempted to talk to them and they just ignored us and walked off. There was also shouting and fighting on the car park and police turning up which then scared my young child
- IloveTravelandTouris (6/5): Not up to usual Premier Inn standard - It took 2 rings of bell to alert someone on arrival and it was stressful with 20 minute waiting limit. Only one bath towel and no tea or coffee; not up to usual Premier Inn standard. However, bar staff were very pleasant.
- MartineS89 (10/5): Good value - Very good value, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and perfect location for us, easy connection into London but also close to family.
- Marigold1309 (10/5): Centre located hotel with added food and drink options for room stays. - A few nights were spent here for a local event that was being undertaken and this place was in the right area, breakfast and an evening meal was had and rooms were of good quiet quality for the stay that was being had. There is an option to add an evening meal to the deal that was being taken in the hotel that stay.
- N4707EEcraigl (4/5): In need of TLC and a good duster!! - Dated hotel. Needs some TLC. Hotel room was very unclean. Standing dust on desk, lights, and fan etc. No air con in the room so very hot. Fortunately we checked the fan provider before turning it on otherwise an inch of dust would have been blown into the room. Room looks like it hadn’t been dusted or ironed in years. Hotel generally felt unclean and same in pub/restaurant. Staff were lovely though but it appeared 2 people were doing all the jobs. Definitely wouldn’t return to this hotel but we do love premier inn.
- K6082YVdavidh (8/5): Hotel is a bit tired but the staff were great - Was a comfortable stay in a good location for work, yes I'd have like air-conditioning but I wouldn't have had it if I'd been staying at home. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough to help. Mel was fantastic as were the two ladies serving at night but I didn't catch their names
