Guest Reviews
- Welshlady90 (10/5): Brilliant hotel in great location for the WMC . - Absolutely brilliant hotel ,location spot on for the wmc ,bed Absolutely comfortable, staff really friendly and welcoming and accommodating spotlessly clean room and I'm happy as in my last review I mentioned the TV and this time the bed is facing the TV .Thankyou premier inn for a great night's stay and I look forward to booking with you again in the future .
- Giacomo_Squintani (10/5): Perfect for anyone headed for Cardiff Bay - Perfect location for the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Bay.
Reasonably priced parking at the adjoining Q Park.
Typical Premier Inn set-up - we had a great night's sleep!
- PeterW3547 (10/5): Premier inn, cannok south, hotel - Had an excellent sleep. Beds really comfy.
Lovley staff.
Beverley on reception was brillant.
Ask for a room clean half way through the week, come back from my course and everything was 'spick and span'.
- 985lesleyc (6/5): Pre Christmas get away - Premier Inn are always our “go to” if spending a couple of days away from home. Cannock South, is probably one of the ones awaiting their update. It is seems old fashioned and dated but still clean and staff helpful and friendly which is exactly what you want. Due to the time of year it could be there seem to be more tradesman/workmen staying than tourist but again fair play they need to diversify their income and no complaints from this end
- waynerZ8582KF (10/5): Fantastic - Had a great stay , and Beverley was a nice lady and very helpful , definitely would recommends to friends and family, the food was very nice , the hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable
- T8536PIharryw (10/5): Bev was absolutely kind and thoughtful and a very good laugh - A clean and tidy room and bathroom and Bev was very helpful and kind would defo come back again and would definitely recommend to others
- DebbieH1339 (4/5): Not A Guaranteed Sleep - I have put this on here to make people aware of Premier Inn 'sleep guarantee.
We stayed at the Cardiff Bay site on 31/10 and 1/11. Our first night has to be said was the worst night sleep we have ever encountered - we always look forward to our decent sleep and with your 'good night guarantee sleep' Premier Inn you have never failed until now.
Early hours of the morning, what we now know is something to do with the extractor fan came on and stayed on with a rather loud annoying fan noise, broke all of our sleep and unable to go back to sleep. Although we flagged this with the very helpful lady in the morning at reception and she was very accommodating - will get maintenance guy on it. Our day was shortened and ruined as we were all so tired.
The helpful lady offered us a free breakfast to say sorry - although this was a lovely gesture, £21 doesn't quite cut the room we paid for to have a guaranteed sleep. As a result the maintenance couldn't repair it and would need to move us for our 2nd night eventually - which we did.
I written 2 emails with no response, even well over the time frame to contact back, so I made a call.
In the duration of the call, I did explain that I have never had an issue with Premier Inn before.
As a result of the call I wouldn't be entitled to a refund for the lack of sleep - even though that is your tag line and guarantee, because I didn't raise the issue in the first instance!!!!
Really?? Come on Premier Inn!
At 1:30AM you would want me to go and find a member of staff to complain to that maybe capable of resolving the issue (that we know now there was no resolution) early hours - and do what? So in the first instance of raising this issue would be at a reasonable hour at breakfast time - to say we didn't raise it in the first instance is ridiculous (we didn't go about our weekend and then complain). We went to reception before our breakfast at approx 8:30am. As mentioned before, even if the maintenance had come and looked at the issue early hours of the morning, the facts would still remain the same, that it was irreparable and they needed to get a contractor in to repair it and they couldn't move us to another room as hotel full to capacity (which we were told when raising), so the issue still wouldn't have been resolved if raised earlier or not.
I have sent a further email fao the manager of the guest relation team - no response.
Would be lovely for you to at least acknowledge the emails sent.
- amanjeeta2025 (10/5): Lovely stay - A lovely stay here at the premier inn. Very clean room, very modern and the service was excellent. Nice and quiet too.
Will defo be back again.
- N2807ETkeving (4/5): Good Night's Sleep is not Guaranteed - The room was very clean and although on the smaller side, a typical premier inn room. However, when we turned all the lights off we realised that intermittently two bright green flashes were coming from the ceiling smoke detector. This was positioned right above the bed and was bright enough to disrupt sleep - you could still see the flashes with your eyes closed. It was exacerbated by the black out curtains doing their job too well so literally no other light was in the room to diffuse brightness of the flashes. You say you guarantee money back if your guests don't sleep, but when I talked to reception at checkout to tell them I thought there was a fault, they brushed it off saying "no, that's standard now, loads of guests have complained and we fed it back to Head office and they haven't come back to us. We can't turn it off, we're told it's health and safety..." They were apologetic enough but not proactive and I while I wouldn't want to jeopardise safety, I would question why it was positioned right over the bed and not in the corridor by the bathroom, a little more discreetly. Our sleep was rubbish - we ended up getting up and leaving at 6.30am to head home instead of staying for breakfast as we were so fed up. If you're planning to book this one, bring some blue tack to cover the LEDs and don't assume their good night sleep guarantee is comprehensive.
- carolew349 (10/5): Friendly Premier Inn. - Excellent customer service ,manager was very attentive and so friendly. Happy hour was great ,two drinks for eight pound between 5 and 7.
Breakfast was little chaotic both mornings but the food was hot and tasty.Sometimes hospitality is a thankless job.If in the area give this Premier Inn a try ,rooms are spacious clean and warm .We as a family 10 really enjoyed our stay. All in all a good experience.
- Road14377772340 (10/5): Great Service at Premier Inn Camberley - Fantastic service, was served by Chris and Precious. Chris was particularly fantastic. Checked in earlier than usual, so we stayed at the Restaurant even though it was not open. Everything was good, service, room and I'd surely return.
- 0darent (10/5): Brilliant stay - We were greeted by a very lively hosts Jo and Chris who we ound very friendly and chatte. Asked for a bath and I got a bath. Lovely stay. Really well run ship. Looking forward to staying again. Good luck team
- cgarland2004 (10/5): Great experience - The room was good and clean, absolutely no complaints about very friendly front staff land liked a laugh! Very helpful! Good value for money
- shaunamK8058XG (10/5): Excellent - Friendly attentive staff, efficient check in, cosy & clean rooms.
Food at the restaurant was spot on & the staff were great too!
- Scenic45751607367 (6/5): Cleanliness - The room was a tidy size for me and my husband, the room was booked for 2 people but only had 1 bath towel, also found a hair in the bathroom. There was also thick dust all around the skirting boards as if the room hadn't been dusted for days. Apart from that the staff were friendly.
- trudym919 (10/5): Wonderful reception and support - We booked the assisted room in preparation for my husband who was having surgery locally. Room very well equipped including emergency pull cord...which within 5 minutes my husband pulled the cord instead of light ! Within seconds Beverly (staff member) was at our room to ensure we were OK. Beverly has been incredibly helpful in many ways especially pointing out an error I had made with my booking . Nothing was too much trouble for her and made the stay very comfortable and stress free
- plainm2017 (10/5): Best of the bunch - We have stayed in 5 different hotels this year and it was the best we have stayed in ,the staff was and are away brilliant even though I think they was short started you wouldn't have known because they worked so hard and never stopped. They all deserve a great Christmas party
- w32123 (10/5): Cardiff Bay Premier Inn - Great location and the car park is right next to the hotel. Room was clean as was the bathroom. The curtains didn't let any light in so a good night's sleep is assured.
The breakfast buffet was kept well stocked, even at the busy period and is recommended especially if you have kids as they eat free!
- jamesnC6546XR (6/5): Halloween stay - The overall stay was good, from check in to check out. However the following day I got home and remember I left my electric toothbrush and an £30 can of pacco rabanne spray deodorant which had not even been used. I phoned the hotel and was told they had found the toothbrush, but not the spray, which I know I had left there. To be told that. If the cleaners normally come across a can of deodorant, they don’t check to see if it’s empty or full, they just chuck it in the bin.
- marcusaY5103PO (10/5): Comfortable and clean room, excellent value, and midday checkout time if fantastic! - Excellent value, very clean and tidy room, comfortable bed, I’d recommend and stay again if required to in the area. Fantastic to have a midday checkout time!
- 82MarkMark82 (10/5): Excellent hotel - We stayed here for two nights. This is an excellent location to see Cardiff bay, also a 25 min walk to shopping centres, there is so much to see and do here. We found the hotel very clean, tidy, parking next door at a very reasonable rate. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we will definitely be going back at some point.
This is the best night's sleep we've had for a long time!
- Catbeth91 (4/5): Disappointing Stay - Room was not clean, there were dirty pillow cases on the spare pillows, milk carton rubbish under the table and dirty towels in the bathroom. None of the automated checkin desks were working so the queue to check in was long with only one person working. All in all, a poor stay.
- rajuj197 (10/5): Hospitality by Raju - It was a good stay in Camberly. Specially when I went to have my breakfast, met Raju the restaurant host, made my day. Was very warm, helpful, kind and polite. Had a good chat. His hospitality made me feel good. And definitely will come back to stay again and meet him.
I had a good start of the day.
- 707adeelk (8/5): Excellent service by Raju - Raju the restaurant manager gave me an excellent service at breakfast time. Really went out of his way to ensure everything was good and comfortable. Thanks Raju
- benlou76 (10/5): Excellent service - Was excellent at checkin really friendly and welcoming.
Asked for extra pillows got them straight away.
Went for dinner and food was excellent and manager came over to speak to us all which never happens normally.
Reported a maintenance problem and he came straight away to sort but couldn’t so will be done next day as we are staying more than one night.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay
- CriticalSooz (10/5): Cozy stay on Cardiff Bay - Extremely comfortable bed, brilliant powerful shower, cozy & clean room and nice complimentary water, coffee & snacks. The check in and out process was very easy and the location was perfect with a lovely view out of the window. A perfect stay.
- paulcC7772OG (10/5): Really Pleasant and Relaxing Stay. - Having stayed in quite a few Premier Inns and had nice experience most of the time. This one was really tops. Every member of staff possibly 6 encountered were friendly helpful and interested in us and helping us with what we needed. Really nice to be treated in such a way and it was unanimous across all we encountered
- Q1259SDheatherp (6/5): Not your usual standard - I always use premier inns but really not impressed with this one. Came down for our prebooked breakfast and waited for 15 minutes to be told where we could sit (not a member of staff to be seen throughout that time. No fried eggs cooked and ready, no bread for toast (basically nobody seemed to be replenishing anything, and no this wasn't the end of the breakfast period it was in the middle of it) your breakfasts are not cheap so really not impressed. Also on a side note I think the hotel could do with a bit of a refurbishment.
- W-R-D08092017 (8/5): Location location - Good location, easy check in and friendly staff.
Room quite spacious and bathroom well equipped.
Breakfast plentiful and hot, excellent value for price.
Only downside was that the room carpet looked as if it hadn’t been hoovered. This did distract us from a pleasant stay.
- Road18279256817 (10/5): I loved my stay! - A super experience at Premier Inn Cardiff Bay! Easy check in, lovely view, super comfortable bed, immaculate room, contemporary and functional design with good bathroom, lighting and all amenities. Excellent breakfast.
- O9406JRtimh (8/5): good location and breakfast - reception area and bar area could be cleaner. everything else was great. a good selection at breakfast. staff warm and friendly
- U3995LJjasong (10/5): Great welcoming! - Great stay! A few hiccups but was quickly sorted by the hotel manager Chris ,who made the stay and welcome very good! Great size rooms and commodities !
- matthewhH8404SS (10/5): Great - Great stay very friendly and helpful staff especially chris the hotel manager. Would defiantly stay again for sure ....
- stevenu326 (10/5): Amazing basic room stay - Arrival was super quick using the screen and creating our own key card. The basic room was a really good size and the bed super comfortable. Room well decorated. Food was amazing having had evening meal and breakfast. Will definitely use again
- 979jacquiy (10/5): A lovely experience with friendly staff - Room was very clean. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was really good. Freshly cooked and done to perfection. Ahashan The night porter was very friendly and my daughter and I were out in the bay until very late. He came and chatted to us to ask if we were enjoying our stay and engaged in a pleasant manner. I would return. We had a double room. Plenty of tea and coffee available for our room too.
- julesa626 (10/5): Very satisfying - Very clean, room was an excellent size for a wheelchair user. I just wish on the website there was an option for twin beds rather than a double. I think you have to ring to request twin beds. However we enjoyed our overnight stay and the food was excellent.
- Angel_kl2017 (8/5): Strategic Location - While the hotel is a little old, its close to a lot of iconic sites in Cardiff, like restaurants, the beach etc for fun and m
- BartoszP948 (10/5): Amazing - WOW what a People working here Eliśka and Dawid from Night Team And CHRIS of course🙂 short stay but see you soon again guys keep continuing your really hard and amazing work. Thank you
- 920jayneh (10/5): Five star staff team! - This Premier inn is situated in a lively town with many shops, bars and restaurants. It is the absolute best thanks to the amazing staff team. Chris and the lovely ladies behind the bar, waitresses and breakfast staff are all so friendly and can’t do enough for you! The company took lasagne off the menu and the staff know it’s the only meal here I eat and saved me some in the freezer ! Sooooo sweet and kind! A huge thank you to you all! Jayne
- Companion390944 (6/5): A 2 Night Average stay - My friend and I stayed for 2 nights. It was basic but ok, until we found a toe nail and pieces of tissue on the carpet and a glue like substance on one of the towels. On a positive note comfortable beds, although didn’t try the breakfast, put us off !
- viviennet987 (8/5): Weekend break - Great service and friendly staff.
Lovely breakfast.
Thank you Rabina, Gemma, Precious and manager Chris for making our stay so lovely. See you again soon!
- Explore43086692998 (6/5): Not really worth it - Good location. Room was small but nice. Carpet hadn't been hoovered for a while. Windows cannot be opened! Air-conditioning worked for a little but then switched to a higher temperature and would not go down. Think someone at reception done this, husband went to ask for a fan (none on site!) where the guy told him he would control the bedroom air con and would do it. Since then it was stuck on 24c. Was uncomfortable to sleep due to the room temp and pillows were like bricks.
- F8760AAjaneb (10/5): Lovely receptionist - Lovely hotel nice and clean . The bed was nice and comfortable I couldn’t get up in the morning. Big thank you to Beverly made us feel welcomed. It was nice to be greeted by her instead of a machine. Nothing was to much trouble every premier inn should have a Beverly. Smooth checking in.
- Wanderer26486350851 (10/5): impeccable customer service - incredible service from the reception team, cleaning lady, and the hotel manager. i lost an important item and they all worked expeditiously to help return my property. i think the manager on shift was a truly accommodating and helpful man called Chris. made to feel very welcome and tended to. may have gotten their name wrong, yet what matters is my problem was solved and for this i am eternally grateful. god bless and thank you=)
- E3403ZVtheresam (10/5): Hope to come back next year if we get this hotel - Had amazing stay, the staff were amazing, thank you Chris and Louise for looking after us for the 4 days we stayed. Well recommend. A big thank you from Emma,Danelle & Theresa from the Screwfix team
- I4321WCadams (10/5): Good service, decent room - Stayed here a few times when working in Farnborough, good service, decent breakfast and room all to be expected from premier inn, never been disappointed
- F6642FOmatth (8/5): Work trip - Our waiter raj was very helpful. The service was very good. The room very clean and tidy. The location is perfect for the reason of my stay
- L4686HSadamt (10/5): food - Gemma Was Amazing
Great Food
Definitely come again
Thanks Louise too 😊😊
Customer service was really good and everyone very friendly
- chriscW2656XY (10/5): All good in the end - My trip was only marked as this due to Bev on reception. A clerical error on the booking which was easily fixed became a nightmare to resolve. Bev went above and beyond.
- 143steffr (8/5): Great budget hotel - Great location, friendly staff.
Room was clean, added bonus of a fan already in the room as it was quite warm which was a great touch.
Bathroom was clean but the water took absolutkey ages to heat up. That was the only bad thing I can say. Everything else was top notch.
- Z9033QLandrewc (4/5): Needs some refreshing - A bit grubb and tired.
Coulld do with a good refresh and the rooms are on the small side.
Bed was good and slept well generally quiet.
Breakfast always good.
- Companion510838 (8/5): Warm and welcoming hotel. - Premier Inn Cannock South was a pleasure to stay in. Albeit very basic, they catered to all my needs.
The room was a decent size and clean.
My family and I were quite happy.
The staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful.
In the extreme heat we were provided with a fan. This shows the length they go to, to ensure the comfort of their guests.
- Curious35322517948 (10/5): Very lovely experience - Bev on reception was very helpful and extremely polite and friendly will stay again. Couldn’t do enough to help you out.
- trevortT125HU (10/5): Above & beyond - A massive thanks to the receptionist Dani. We booked a room for my Mom for the weekend, she is slightly deaf & gets confused. Mom was looking for us in the car park as she forgot what time we was collecting her for the hotel, Dani took the time to talk to my Mom & was very friendly & caring with her.
Big thank-you were so accommodating with us coming & going, made it so much easier for us all. When collection & dropping Mom back off.
- Curiosity35974989841 (10/5): Excellent staff and good hotel - I booked a stay for my mom to spend a few days with us. A big thank you to Beverley. My mom got confused about the time we were meeting her. Mom was looking for us in the car park and was rescued by Beverley. She took the time to talk to my Mom and was very caring.
Thank you to all on Reception who were so accommodating with us coming and going and made it so much easier for us all.
- Andrewgems (4/5): Not a good premier inn and a horrible pub for food - Warm rooms with a dirty fan provided. Pub next door serves very poor quality food for dinner, not a clean place with awfully sticky floors
- adelehK9424OS (10/5): July stay - Reception and bar staff were friendly and welcoming, room was lovely, clean and comfortable and they added a fan as weather was warm.
Thank you.
- shaunamK8058XG (10/5): Amazing - Friendly staff and convenient 24h reception. Shauna on reception was wonderful and welcoming.
Bed was super comfy. Black out curtains and super quiet surroundings made for a great night sleep.
Highly recommend if you need a place to stay around the area. 👍🏼
- gracecC8081ZI (10/5): Great stay - Amazing service, Amazing staff, especially Beverly, Shauna & Dani
The room was absolutely spotless and the housekeeping staff were friendly
Bev provided biscuits & haribos for the children
We will definitely be returning here
