Guest Reviews
- 01Michael (10/5): As expected. - Great location for our purpose.
Room was as expected for Premier Inn
Good size room, comfy bed.
Let down by hot water/shower, pressure wasn’t as expected.
- Coastal613872 (10/5): Perfect - We stayed in the hotel from November 23-27th.
Excellent service from Charlotte In the restaurant
She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her positive attitude made our meal even more . Thank you Charlotte 😍
- irenetI9579OP (4/5): Disappointed - Stayed one night. Have stayed many times before. Thermostat in the room would not turn down. We tried to set the temperature to 18 degrees but it always went back to 24 degrees. Curtains wouldn’t close properly as hooks were loose.
Had booked breakfast but doubt I would ever do again. The selection available was very limited. No yoghurts, stewed fruit, fruit salad, eggs, mushrooms. Saw the staff member bring fresh tray of bacon but it was only at room temperature.
Hotel was very quiet, mainly work people. Their vans occupied half of the disabled parking spaces on Tuesday evening.
- bryandA202KK (10/5): Nice and friendly - Went for breakfast on Thursday 13th November, good food, very pleasant experience, and well looked after by very friendly staff, especially Kayleigh, as nothing was to mush trouble for her, thank you ladies 👍
- P1911LXrogerm (10/5): Excellent experience - Convenient location with carparking available. A really comfortable stay in a premier plus room. Good value for money. Spotlessly clean. Very pleasant reception staff. We had an evening meal at the Brewers Fayre attached. Food was very good and staff very helpful. We would have no hesitation in staying again.
- BarbaraG93 (10/5): Good - We often book this hotel because it’s convenient comfortable and quiet. I made an error in my booking and Maz was so efficient thank you for your help yesterday Maz
- H2530GYkennethg (10/5): Great staff - Rachel was very welcoming and informative, nothing was too much trouble and made checking in an easy experience, will definitely stay here again
- janefrank (10/5): Great family weekend away - Warm, friendly, kind staff. Good food and a great price. Had a brilliant stay and visited nearby Cadbury world. Amazing
- Jennarobison (10/5): Great stay - Stayed her for coming to comic con and the hotel was clean, staff were friendly, breakfast was a nice atmosphere. Had no complaints
- margaretjP7579UX (10/5): Part of our holiday and more like family! - What can I say except Premier Inn at Whins of Milton , Stirling is part of my husband and my holiday! We stay each year and it is always like”coming home”. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and this continues to the restaurant. To see the familiar faces of the staff is like part of our family!
We stay on the way and coming back. So , lucky us!
The accommodation is good and comforting and restaurant very good. I am gluten free and lactose intolerant and relax knowing that I am catered for. Thank you so much and look forward to our next visit! Regards to all the staff!

- edwarddS4052EM (2/5): Dreadful experience - The hotel is dirty, a fusty smell lingers and the carpets clearly need a deep clean. The room experience was terrible, a soiled towel and urine dribble on the toilet seat. We went out and purchased some anti-bac wipes to wipe down ourselves. The lady at reception was very apologetic and changed the towel. Unfortunately on the second day I went to pop something in the bathroom bin and found a used sanitary towel left by the previous occupant. As a former merchant seamen I've stopped in hotels all around the world, but this was the worst I've encountered for lack of hygiene and general cleanliness, I'm ashamed to find such poor standards here in the UK, it is absolutely disgusting.
- F2038TQrickyc (10/5): A wonderful Experience - I had a wonderful experience and go there on a regular basis because not only is it a lovely hotel but, the staff are exceptional from the management, reception all the way down to the cleaning staff who are so friendly and helpful. Sarah, Rachel,Di,Jack, Katie,Susan and Katrina are just fantastic and the hotel is a better place with them there. They are always smiling and will try to help you in any way they can. A special mention to Sarah the Manager an absolute diamond of a manager and if I have any issues they are always taken care of and Jack as well always there at reception with a smile on his face, nothing is to much trouble, also a mention to Emma part of the cleaning team, always smiling and ready to help whenever needed and always willing to go out of her way to help.
Also the Restaurant staff once again so helpful, the food is fantastic and they make my experience every time just the best and it’s a pleasure to come back.
Truely fantastic Hotel with just the best staff ever.
- Molly1107 (10/5): Excellent - Great hotel - the best Prem Inn we have visited.
We opted for the upgraded round - it was large, bed was comfy and the shower great.
Nice touches such as cholated bard, tea and coffee facilities and incl Wi-Fi made this a good option.
Staff very friendly.
Will stay again for sure.
- annmarie456 (10/5): Very good - Very clean and a quiet room even though facing the car park. Very friendly staff including the bar staff and the manager who gave us helpful advice. Only thing we would not bother with again is the cooked breakfast as we have had it on both stays and it was cold as it wasn't topped up. Otherwise it deserves 5* and we will stay again
- annebK3145IM (10/5): Wonderful - I would especially like to comment on the staff. All from the cleaners to reception made my stay very special. Nothing was too much trouble. The offered help with luggage and gave a cheerful greetings as I came and went. These ladies are wonderful. The bed was comfy too so I slept very well
- Adventure537392 (10/5): Visiting family - Maz the receptionist went above and beyond to make sure I was able to have a room near a family member who is 97 years old. Nothing was too much, you are a credit to the Premier Inn. Had a shower/bath tap malfunction in the morning and again the matter was dealt with calmness and efficiently. Another room was sorted within minutes for us.
- Lassx (10/5): Premier Inn how it should be! - Well this is the Premier Inn of old!
Premier Plus Room
Very clean
Perfect relaxing room with great seating and dining area. Well decorated to a high standard. The lighting is amazing, with uplighting and a gorgeous lamp.
A well thought out room situated in a lovely quiet decorated corridor.
Proper toilet rolls rather than those horrid dispensers, lovely shower (no bath) decorated very well.
Room was cosy and warm or cool if you needed. All round great! Well done, relieved to see a huge improvement.
I have slated most Premier Inns in recent years for being tired and not comfortable like they used to be, but this room certainly turned back the clock to how they should be.
We ate at the restaurant located next door, for dinner & breakfast, this again was really good. Despite having a coach trip in, plenty of selection at breakfast. Clean cutlery and crockery.
- Nomad53655423928 (10/5): Great stay!. - Room was great, bed was so comfortable!, staff were super nice and accommodating especially the receptionist Rachel, would definitely stay again!.
- 11233455677 (10/5): Fabulous staff - What a fantastic hotel! We stay here often as its ideally placed for a variety of food options including Greggs, as well as a short taxi ride to the train station. But, the main reason we stay here, is the staff. They are all absolutely amazing, especially the reception team of Jack, Rachel, Katie, and the manager Sarah, who always goes above and wayyyyyyyy beyond to make us feel special, appreciated, and valued as customers. Its the little things that count, smiles, politeness and taking the time for a chat, even a brief one, often despite them being rushed off their little feet!
- 866carolj (8/5): Typical Premier Inn - good price, lovely staff - The hotel was easy to find and there were so many parking spaces to use and FREE! Warm welcome at the reception. Bedroom was a good size as a family room with 3 beds in it. Bathroom was clean and the fan wasn’t noisy like most can be. Only issue was the side of the bath was quite high and I had to hold on to the towel rail when stepping out of the shower/bath. Good price, good location, great parking, quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay.
- KellyF1753 (10/5): Great stay - Easy to check in /check out
Great location to amenties
Clean reception/room ,friendly staff
Vending machine onsite
Taxi phone also on site
Only complaint is vending machine was half empty
- 178andrewt (10/5): Dropped off son at University - Great location, friendly staff, easy access to Stirling and the surrounding area. We were dropping our son off at University
- 106SuzanneH (10/5): Excellent service from Kayleigh and Indie in the Premier Inn breakfast restaurant - What a lovely way to start the day with the friendly team of Kayleigh and Indie serving a delicious cooked breakfast … fresh mushrooms and tomatoes, delicious bacon and sausages plus poached eggs to order! Excellent fruit salad and yoghurt too plus juices and pastries and a great revolving toaster. Great coffee machine.
The hotel room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. I was very impressed.
My fellow traveller was not mobile enough to use the over bath shower … and it could be worth mentioning this when booking as perhaps you have rooms with walk in showers?
- 1147sandyt (10/5): First time at any Premier. We will be booking again - Excellent place to stay. Highly recommended. Staff, rooms and food very good. Best night's sleep. Rooms very clean and welcoming. Food in the Pub very good.
- Roving62229555061 (8/5): Great value - We stayed for 2 nights.
Really friendly reception staff
The room was very clean with all you would need.
Bed very comfortable
Room on floor 3 was very quiet.
Great value for the meal package at the Premier inn restaurant next door
Breakfast is amazing everything you could want and as much as you can eat continental and cooked.
The evening meal okay had to send back my Korean style burger as dry but they replaced it with fish and chips.
Service is a bit slow, restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful
Would recommend.
- ohmarmalade (4/5): Needs some TLC and a deep clean - Just a bit dirty really and needs some TLC. We stayed here in August and not one of the better Premier Inn's we've stayed at. We had a family room on the ground floor, strange smell when you enter the corridor and into the room. Buzzing sound from the air con and rooms needing some TLC. Found some odd substance/blob thing that looked like it was forming life in one of the draws and a lovely decor of stains throughout. If you're on the ground floor, may be worth requesting another room as we had people having endless conversations in the corridors up until midnight. Not the best place we've stayed, probably would pick elsewhere next time.
- R9086UBmaryd (2/5): Smell, tired and dated - We arrived quite late and were given our room, the minute we opened the door the smell hit us, I have never smelled anything so bad, we were allocated another room which had seen better days but there wasn’t a smell.the breakfast was poor and the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Will definitely avoid at all costs.
- johnboyPeterborough (10/5): All very Good, Great Staff - We've stayed here on several occasions over the years and, as always, everything was very good. It is clean, secure and well placed to get on the motorway
Our room was spacious, had a large comfortable bed and a good bathroom
There is a restaurant on site and we had a drink one evening as well as a breakfast one morning. Everything was of a good standard
I'd like to make special mention of two staff although, unfortunately, I don't have their names
On the morning of our departure I, stupidly, left my phone on the roof when putting our stuff in the boot. We set off and quickly realised what I'd done. We got back to the hotel 15 minutes after we had left but could not find the phone. The young lady in reception, who had blond hair, watched the cctv and although she could see the phone on the car she could not see where it had fallen off. She took my wife's number and said we'd get a call if it turned up
Shortly before we arrived back in Peterborough later that afternoon my wife got a call from a very helpful gentleman at the hotel to say my phone had been handed in. He sent photos and it was very bashed up and looked like it had been run over by a vehicle. He said he'd post it to me and didn't want me to pay the cost
I held out very little chance that it could be "saved" . However my local phone shop installed a new camera and a new screen and it's working fine
So big thanks to the two staff who did an excellent job. You're both a real credit to the hotel and sorry I didn't get your names
- X2516WBmariap (6/5): Don’t expect a drink if you arrive late ! - After leaving Kent around 7pm we are arrived at the hotel at 930pm.. after picking the premier inn chain because it has a restaurant next door, we were very disappointed to get into the cookhouse and pub and order a drink, and then be told that was it, they were closing at 10pm ! Wanted a couple to relax after working all day then travelling .,, I’m glad we are before we left home as we would have been very hungry too as the kitchen was long since closed when we arrived!
- Safari29659155156 (10/5): Fantastic stay and food! - Friendly staff, excellent service and outstanding food, this establishment truly needs to be praised!
Usually, I’m not very fond of brewers fayre due to past experiences, but this changed my opinion totally and made me love this restaurant! Above all, what made this experience amazing was the staff, a real standout was Kayleigh, who met our expectations and went above and beyond for our needs.
The food was fresh, tasty and mouth-watering, and came very quick! Prices were fantastic and there was amazing deals to help save money :)
I also must give recognition to the hotel itself, the beds were lovely, rooms nice & clean, and cleaners were fantastic.
I’d love to also mention it took us 4 hours to get here from Wales, I’m glad we were welcomed with friendliness and happiness.
Definitely come here, can’t praise it enough!
- helenbX7572CE (6/5): Comfy beds and burned food - Stayed with partner and two children before visiting WMSP. Room itself was clean and comfortable except bathroom towel provided was dirty and curtains were broken letting in a lot of light. All staff at hotel and restaurant were friendly and welcoming, the food at the restaurant however, was pretty awful. Had an evening meal here, anything that had seen a fryer was cremated, and the bread off the grill tasted as though the grill hasn't been cleaned in weeks. During the evening the restaurant was quiet in terms of customers (approx 12 tables seated) and incredibly short staffed, we saw three staff members all evening, of which we saw only two actually serving. We waited over 2 hours for a starter and main. Unfortunately this theme continued into breakfast. The selection was poor, and the hot options were all severely overcooked. Bacon like leather and luke warm milk and fruit juice. Staff again were really lovely and welcoming though, just a shame the food was so poor, really not worth what we paid.
- Daydream03926660258 (2/5): A tired, haggered hotel that is completely overpriced. - Probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I have never made a complaint like this. Ideal, we paid over £100 for a room that was dirty, tired and unkept, and with a bathroom with mould and orange staining. I appreciate that we stayed during a heat wave; however, we were given a fan that worked poorly and was clearly cheap, and we were offered no cold fresh water in our room. The room was also so poorly ventilated, which meant that outside was actually cooler. The only positive aspect of our stay was the chap who greeted us at reception. Otherwise, I would seek a refund.
- 969leight (8/5): 2 night stay - We stayed here for 2 nights in August, great location for our visit to west Midlands safari park only about 30 minutes drive.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, we had a good size room, the beds were very comfortable. Lots of parking available. We had breakfast both days in the restaurant- good selection of food- cereals, pastries, toast, fruit yoghurt and hot breakfast. We had dinner here one night, again various items to select from and the food was good. Staff were attentive and helpful. Supermarkets and other restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.
- veramitchell23 (8/5): Very disappointed - 2 nights stay. Extremely hot day, long journey arriving around 7.00pm. Check in fine, Room was good, window left open, curtain closed fan supplied and just duvet cover on bed - you could ask reception if required the actual duvet. However, when going down for meal in attached pub, asked to buy the ‘meal deal’ offer and was told not applicable until breakfast next day and dinner the same night - this was despite a notice next to her clearly stating the opposite! After much arguing we gave up and went in for a meal. This was paid for in full followed by breakfast next morning. For the 3 people we paid nearly £100 instead of £80; being pensioners this is a lot of money to overpay. We paid for our 3 breakfasts as usual on day leaving. The staff in there were very surprised we didn’t have a voucher and couldn’t understand the receptionist’s comments. I now believe this company is contravening the trading standards act as all their publicity states we were in the right. We have stayed in many of these hotels around the country and never had this issue. I strongly advise people staying in this hotel to remember the so called meal deal does not apply unless you are taking breakfast and evening meal on the same day - we were going to wedding following day so did not need dinner that night. Very upsetting on what should have been a happy stay.
- jansU2399DO (8/5): Excellent value for family travel - clean and comfortable room, perfect for a family with very young children. Would have like aircon as the room was a little stuffy.
- shailinc (10/5): Nice stay - The staff was very friendly and gave us an extra towel and helped us with directions. The room was big and clean with a very comfy bed and bathtub. There is free parking and a restaurant as well.
- nossugreF (10/5): Very comfortable stay. - We returned to this hotel as we enjoyed a previous stay. We were not dissapointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful and we were looked after very well. The beds are extremely comfortable with soft bedding and towels. The room was clean and had kettle, hairdryer and nice soaps . I would have liked a fridge facility but that's just me as I like fresh milk and chilled drinks at night.
- 871dant (4/5): Not a great Premier Inn I'm afraid - Would not want to stay here again if I could find an alternative. Premier Inn in general seems to be going downhill in recent years, and this place really embodies that. The staff were polite and friendly, so nothing against them - they were the one bright point. But the room was cold and all of the spare bedding had been removed from the room, so I found myself having to get clothes from my suitcase to warm myself the first night. The floor is weirdly noisy and spongey (even on the ground floor), which makes me wonder if it needs some structural overhaul. There is another Premier Inn nearby - maybe this one is on the way out? Parking is good, and location is handy. Taps need changing to proper taps rather than daft spray nozzle ones which are useless for filling the kettle or brushing your teeth. Ultimately, my stay here was made bad by lots of little things (even found a bug in the room) - it it making me lose my faith in Premier Inn somewhat. Will likely look to stay somewhere else next time I need to stay in this area.
- murdochfan (8/5): Taking money under false service promises - Paid for an 11 am check in due to having to get ready for a wedding at 12.30.No room ready for us till 11.27 am.Why offer early check in which we had to pay £15 for if you cannot do it.Also had booked another room which was supposed to be a twin bedded room which was also not ready and for which we had to pay a £5 service charge .Very bad customer service. If you cannot accommodate these services do not offer them.
- Cairnsy63 (10/5): Excellent - Excellent stay for an overnight visiting family.
Large room very clean
Nice restaurant very friendly staff. Very welcoming
- CambridgeClimber (8/5): Great for an overnight stay and breaking the journey - Excellent location close to the motorway network making it ideal for breaking a 700 mile journey to the north coast of Scotland. Friendly reception and a comfortable, clean room. The adjacent pub/restaurant was a little tired looking but the evening meal and buffet breakfast were fine. We would use again.
- E9407GImattl (10/5): Excellent customer service - Had an excellent stay here. Indie on main reception was really helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much even my late night request for an iron was immediately fulfilled with a big smile. Amazing stay thank you !
- Daschund123 (10/5): Updated rooms - Last visited 2022 and wrote a review it needed updating. It has been and our room was lovely. Very quiet. Asked for a fan as it was warm and luckily I got one. Very pleased.
- 571eddief (8/5): Nice hotel with great staff and food - let down by bathrooms - Nice staff, comfortable rooms, great food.
Easy to find, loads of parking.
Bathroom shower was in the bath and was just a fixed head, so no hand-held shower head. Poor water pressure meant it was difficult to rinse off.
Weirdly, unable to get cold water out of the taps - for drinking or kettle, It was always lukewarm and never ran cold.
No aircon but a very good pedestal fan in the room, They also had removed duvets and just sheets on bed - which was a nice touch as it was very humid.
Local boy-racers use the road outside as a race track - so lots of engine revving and brakes squealing in the early hours.
- 372ancillaa (2/5): Hot and bothered - Air-conditioning not working on a very hot night. Windows can't open in the room with zero airflow and unbearably hot all night. We left at 6am after very little sleep and were so keen to get out didn't bother raising it with the young member of staff who was clearly very tired himself at that time of the day. I have to say that if the Air-conditioning was working we may have felt a lot less grumpy and actually felt it was good value for money. We did read a card on the room that only referred to heating, so believe perhaps there was no air-conditioning. There was also no air flow though which made for an unbelievably stuffy and unbearably hot night. The room itself was clean and tidy and as expected. I wouldn't describe this Premier Inn as appealing, overall unfortunately a miserable experience.
- Freedom39699215055 (10/5): This Weekend - And we are back! It has been a while since we have stayed here and Stourbridge, yet it is still a delight. Over this weekend, we have been welcomed with friendly faces from Roxi Friday Night, and throughout our stay we dined in the restaurant. Both evenings being satisfactory. Having Rachel serving us on Saturday night AND sunday morning was a delight. She goes beyond for the guests, even with a cracking smile. Great Job Stourbridge, we hope to return soon👍
- debbiefF6957RT (10/5): - Another delicious breakfast. Everything was hot and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend
- U9211IMpaulam (10/5): Colmworth Business Park - Very clean. We arrived late due to travelling, however, there was not a problem. The staff were polite and accommodating.
- P1914ZQjohnm (10/5): It’s the staff that make the difference - Rachel (reception) was so delightfully pleasant & couldn’t have been more helpful. She didn’t just go the extra mile but went far above & beyond. It was a v v hot day & night; she made up the spare bed (forgotten by the day staff), brought us a 2nd fan (at her suggestion), cold water & ice, iron & ironing board. She re-froze our freezer blocks & stored the food in our cold bag in her fridge - access to the food several times during our overnight stay posed no problem.
The hotel itself was a good standard Premier which would benefit from Aircon. Plenty of parking and restaurant/pub.
- sophiemV3827KD (10/5): 5 stars - Stayed at Colmworth for a few days while visiting friends, All staff were absolutely amazing, room was also lovely and clean. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection to choose from. Will definitely be staying here again!
- snorklemom (10/5): Convenient to EDI and M9 if you’re looking for a quick stopover. - Quick stopover from EDI to the Highlands. We were looking for one night’s rest after flight from U.S. and before renting our vehicle. We did not want to spend the time at an airport hotel and we decided to visit Stirling Castle. Uber from EDI was 35 min and 88 pounds. For an extra 15 pounds we were able to check in at 11am.
Clean, comfortable lodging off the M9. We needed a taxi to reach the city center and castle which was not a problem. Restaurant on premises fine for breakfast.
- williamaH4611TV (6/5): OK but prefer more Honesty - Nice hotel and the reception lady was very nice on arrival. Quilt was stained as I strip bed before I leave. £115 per night on website and £100 dearer if done by phone. Not as per tv adverts ( from £46) Long way from £46. Breakfast not included. Reception lady with glasses not interested.
- wildebeastHampshire (10/5): First time stay at a Premier Inn. My room was excellent, bed comfortable - First time stay at a Premier Inn. My room was excellent, bed comfortable, bathroom good, although a little old. Shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Excellent food in the pub next to the Inn, evening meal and breakfast was very nice and staff amazing in both the restaurant and hotel. I was on a course at the near by EOGB company which was only a short distance away. Will be staying here again in the near future. Plenty of space in a large car park with security cameras. Only downside is the WIFI was non existent
- nvernon26 (6/5): Great stay as usual, apart from the stench of used pizza boxes - As usual, lovely comfy bed, and like all Premier inns, you know what you are getting. We arrived on Thursday evening around 7pm. It must have been buy 1 get 1 free at the local pizza place or something, as outside of about 4 bedroom doors on the ground floor corridor were empty pizza and take away boxes just left on the floor. The corridor reeked of leftover take away food. We got changed and went out and they were still there, then when we came back late on, they were all still there. Some were still there the morning after. Shame, as everything else was great.
- doodle005 (10/5): Relaxing - Great stay friendly staff free to park very comfortable room and bed all round great place. On arriving the parking was easy the welcome from the receptionist was very friendly and are room was perfect 🤩 I can’t fault this premier inn I would highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- sensi702 (10/5): Great experience. - Great staff, great rooms and comfee beds with extra pillows, the Breakfasts are the best out there and always tasty and filling and the staff always had a smile and willingness to help. Parking always ample and free and the location perfect for sight seeing.
- lsw815 (10/5): Great staff member on check in desk - We arrived Saturday afternoon to a busy check in. The young woman working the desk was patient and friendly with everyone in front of us and was the same with us even after return trips to reception with questions. I didn’t get her name or I would give her a direct mention. We paid for the meal deal which we felt was good value.
- victor061 (10/5): Great stay - Ample parking plus very friendly reception staff with fast efficient check in. Room was clean comfortable and we enjoyed a great nights sleep. Had the continental breakfast on the morning and was most enjoyable. The young gentleman serving breakfast was polite and very helpful, thank you.
- johnbW2038RD (8/5): Hoover - Could do with a hoover. Corridor was filthy when we arrived late at night. I appreciate building work was maybe ongoing but it's not hard to run a hoover over the place. Friendly staff helpful though and food was what you would expect of a brewers fayre.
