Guest Reviews
- 702vitaj (10/5): Holiday at Horsham, UK - The room was very nice, clean, big enough for two people. The hotel is in a very good location, in the city center. The hotel has an elevator and a dining area. There are many bars, cafeterias, a shopping center, other shops nearby. The train station is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It would be nice if breakfast was included by default, without having to buy it separately. The room reservation fee per night was high enough to include such a bonus.
- Wanderer46490932175 (6/5): Okay put could be better - The one main issue with premier inn that stands out more than anything else in my opinion is the dreadful WIFI . Even the 24 hour purchased wifi is is sub standard. When the likes of Holiday Inn have free reliable wifi this puts premier inn to shame .
- 967rafall (10/5): Hinkley Triumph Factory best overnight stay! - Nice large room with bathtub and really hot water, great breakfast and amazing hospitality. Motorcycle parked and chained up next to reception room👌 Thank you!
- LynxD65 (10/5): Stress Free - From arriving at reception to handing in my room key on departure all the staff were super polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable stay.
- IanHallam53 (6/5): Facilities and signage need improvement - Car parking restricted by scaffolding all around the hotel blocking car parking spaces. Car park not lit very well and signage leading to the hotel needs improving.
The bed was comfortable and warm, there was no shaving light in the bathroom and with the main light on the extractor fan made a great deal of noise.
- lauraratcliffe2025 (8/5): Hotel lovely but restaurant not! - Hotel clean. Reception staff lovely on check in. Room clean. Pillows too soft. Towels too small. Could have been warmer but overall great stay. Brewers Fayre not value for money and staff rude
- I7156UGgarys (10/5): An excellent hotel - An excellent hotel, clean, with a good size bedroom and bathroom. The only slight issue was having to pay £15 extra for an early check in when the room was already prepared; however, this doesn't detract from the great service and very good value for money the hotel represents. The breakfast was excellent too.
- Eyeball_Paul1992 (10/5): Another faultless stay - Another stay here, another faultless experience. Got early check in, and room was ready for when I go there, it also had a sofa in room which can be set as a bed. Air con was on when I entered the room, and was nice and cool, which I like, as I am hot all the time no matter what the weather is. All staff that I saw in the hotel were friendly and was cheerful.
- annamQ9074LO (10/5): Excellent staff, room, food and parking facilities. - This was my second stay at this particular hotel and I found no difference to the welcome from the friendly staff to the comfort of the room and room facilities to the food both breakfast and evening meals. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling for any reason in that area. The price was exceptional value for both times of year.
- brandonmK4601YG (10/5): Great place - Good place to stay when working away, great and friendly staff such as Kiera on reception who are always happy to help!!!
- 885eugenee (6/5): rip off pricing - stayed recently so thought we would stay at a premier inn again but why is it £40 more for a Saturday night compared to Friday or Sunday rip oof so I found an air bb for £52 compared to £81 at the inn
- roberthW9019KH (10/5): Friendly staff great rooms - Amazing stay such a friendly welcome on reception and very helpful couldn't fault it thank you keira would definitely recommend
- G2023BGlaurenm (10/5): Wonderful Phone Experience - Rang up to discuss a potential overnight stay. Spoke to a wonder lady who I think was called Keira, she was so helpful and was able to explain what the hotel had to offer, she also told me about the restaurant next door. The team should be proud to have Keira as a part of it, she was so patient and so knowledgeable, unfortunately circumstances changed and I didn't book but would recommend this place and this is mostly down to the time and effort Keira put in
- chW2715DP (10/5): good rooms friendly staff - had a great stay not like our nuneaton travel loddge experience and id to thank the lovely young lady kiera or krina at the front desk very helpful indeed we reccomend this hotel thanks guys
- thedQ8290MG (10/5): Great customer service - Karen at reception is a star. Everything you could need. Thanks Karen.
Room lovely tidy and warm. Great as always. But again it really was Karen who started the trip well!
- Alielir1619 (10/5): Premier Inn Extra! - This was a very unusual Premier Inn experience. Usually, you're getting exactly what the adverts say - marvellous. BUT this time, there was an additional Steven - Manager I think. He went above and beyond when I arrived later than I had hoped to. He introduced this Norfolk country girl to the Uber Eats app and we went from there. Always attentive to his other guests, he kept me company while I waited for my pizza in the reception. What a super person - so interesting, friendly and funny. Quite my most favourite Premier Inn experience of all time!
- juliec_10 (10/5): Stephen the life saver ❤️ - We had been up all night trying to find a hotel
We found one and booked to check in at 3pm
We got there early and asked Stephen if we could possibly have our room early as we had been awake all night and wanted to shower and sleep.
stephen went check and came back and said that our room was ready 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
So we could checkin early
Bless him
I did say I would sleep in the arm chair in reception LOL
He also gave us complementary breakfasts
We must have looked so old and tired .
Stephen is a great example of excellent customer service
Give him a raise
What a gentleman ❤️
Room clean and tidy
Only moan some of the lights didnt work in room 18
Would stay again .
- traveller313 (6/5): Strange smell. - Stayed here over Halloween. Room 24. Strange , not very pleasant smell in the corridor and stronger again in the room - mentioned to reception.
Roof work ongoing during stay which we were informed of prior to stay.
Watch out for car parking charges and make SURE you register when you check in. We weren’t told about it and only realised after staying a couple of nights. Receptionist said we will be reimbursed, but it is a bit of a nuisance.
Brewers Fayre was fine ok.
All in all we would stay here again and hope they get the strange odour sorted.
- R7173AVdavidb (10/5): Comfortable and quiet hotel, with a caring staff - Once again, a most helpful and engaging staff. Keira was particularly helpful and we also enjoyed chatting to her Mum!
The ducks and boats on the canal are a definite bonus to the experience.
- Companion17357973090 (2/5): Avoid at all costs! - Firstly, the hotel staff were help, friendly, professional, and trying their best to work in difficult conditions.
I stayed solo. However, my family were in other rooms, including the family rooms.
This is the worst premier inn I've stayed in!
The rooms whilst superficially clean , the cleaners are fighting a losing battle, with flaking paint , grease oil marks on woodwork, ceiling tiles dirty, and dislodged! Bare screws in walls.
Bathroom fans are so loud! Rooms incredibly hot, lowest temp 17c felt stuffy.
Some rooms don't allow windows to be opened.
I have numerous photos of the issues.
The evening meal was poor quality using poor ingredients.
Breakfast was luke warm.
- Chief1974 (4/5): A bit dated & some fundamentals need attention - No issue with the quality of sleep, however prior to my stay there had been some maintenance in the bathroom. Plumber had failed to turn water back on & resulted in late departure once resolved.
Furnishings in room needed attention (rims on bedside tables coming away etc)
- 336jemiman (4/5): Disgusting and the Stench! - The room was cold, heating didn’t work. State of the decor/ furniture was old. The shower head was dirty, half off the holes were clogged up. The curtain rail in the bedroom kept falling down.
You only get told about the scaffolding once you’ve booked.
The Brewery Faye was disgusting. The stench in the entrance through to the food area was horrid. Maybe because it’s right on the canal. Good was cold and mostly gone by 9am. Sticky floor sticky tables.
I extended my trip elsewhere and won’t be coming back
- MaximusZ1000 (2/5): Beware room 145. - Shockingly bad.No one at reception upon arrival, other customers waiting also.Double room booked for 2 adults only 1 bath towel. No teaspoons to make tea.Considering room was booked 6 weeks in advance was allocated a room furthest away from reception. Extractor fan didn't work in bathroom. Very heavy smell of air freshener was explained the following morning when woken as covered in smell of stale cigarettes. After requesting room clean was told by cleaner "not allowed in room speak to reception ".Arriving back that night no replenishing of tea, coffee or milk had to go to Spar shop at petrol station for supplies.Extra towels piled up outside door.Monday morning heavy booted workers stomping up and down scaffolding outside window and on roof.
- ohninsa (10/5): Self service hotel - Everything is self-serviced. from check in to check out. Unless yo want to wait a bit, you can wait for a hotel staff at the front desk. They have lack of manpower, but everything is in order. Might not be a place for inpatient guests. But i will definitely consider staying there again.
As all other reviews said before, free wifi is super slow.
- glenf747 (6/5): Grim - The bathroom was a bit grim
There's were cobwebs
There was mold
Black grime around bath area
Didn't make me feel satisfied overall
- wendyv839 (8/5): Great value for money - Stayed here for one night with my husband. Great location right in the town centre
First impressions were good. Great welcome and the room was spacious, clean and advanced very comfy bed as you'd expect and lovely pillows.
Clean bathroom and plenty of towels.
Only one criticism. The bath was very deep. I am quite short and really struggled to get in and out to use the overhead shower.
Breakfast was fine. Plenty of choice with cereal, fruit and pastries plus the usual hot options. All was very fresh.
Overall, this hotel is great value for money and does exactly what it says on the tin
Would have no problem recommending to others.
- Z9869RXrobertl (10/5): Superb experience - Working in the vicinity. Staying for 2wks. A wonderful experience so far. Great nights sleep, good food, All the staff are professional and friendly. Special mention to Lisa and Lauren who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
- 71Jon (10/5): Lovely stay - Large, tasteful and very clean, room. Very friendly and capable staff at breakfast and reception. Keycard worked flawlessly throughout my stay.
Restaurant room had natural lighting and without many guests during breakfast, I had a lovely view outside during breakfast.
Generally, no effort required to enjoy my stay.
- 153nigelg (10/5): Fantastic stay - I've stayed at this hotel monday to Friday for the past four and a half months. The hotel is clean and comfortable, there are staffing issues and they run out of certain foods on the menu .The front of house staff are fantastic friendly? And hard working especially Corrine Lisa and Keiren who go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. All the other staff are all pleasant and friendly aswell can't fault any of them the breakfast is plentiful and fresh and sets you up for the day .I've stayed in a few Premier inn and this is far the best one due to the friendly and hard working staff who make you feel welcome.
- Dallasworldtraveler (8/5): Great Location, No-Frills Hotel - Stayed here for a quick city getaway and couldn’t beat the central location—everything was within walking distance! The price was definitely budget-friendly, and compared to other standard hotels in the area, the room was surprisingly spacious. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for resting after a day out. There is a restaurant, but with so many interesting pubs and restaurants in the area, we went out for meals.
There are some trade-offs to keep in mind: the hotel seemed understaffed, there was no phone in the room to reach the front desk, and no room service available. Also, the tub was a bit high to climb into—if you have mobility issues, it’s worth requesting an accessible room.
Overall, you get what you pay for, and if you’re looking for space, location, and value over full service, this is a solid choice.
- yv0nnemarya (8/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable - Had a very relaxing stay. Room was very spacious, and had a really lovely bathroom. Reception Staff very helpful when I spoke to them about a couple of things that I needed sorting in relation to my room. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast overlooking the Coventry Canal, watching the barges go by!
Enjoyed my stay - Thank you! 😁⛴️🛶🏞️🕶️☀️
- W8258UGmikel (4/5): No heating working in room - Hotel was as advertised and staff efficient.
The heating system did not work in the room complained twice as two nights booked.
Was told maintenence would be informed, I wasn't the only one as others had same problem.
It was topical conversation at breakfast
- nigelcU5546ZK (8/5): Overall very good indeed - Very good clean and well presented hotel. Staff need to be aware that guests can hear staff moaning about management in the restaurant! Overall staff were pleasant and helpful though.
- 572dawnc (10/5): Lovely - We had a lovely stay here, didn't notice any WiFi issues as we had our own data. Room was clean and plenty big enough for the 3 of us. We had breakfast each morning and can't fault it. It was fresh and the chef made sure the cooked food was kept replenished. He did me some scrambled egg to order and it was lovely. The hotel is a good base to get to Lyme Regis and charmouth for some fossil hunting.
Would stay again.
- GeorgeBre (10/5): Loved it - Just back from the Premier Inn at Honiton. Great stay, comfy bed, power shower, great breakfast with gluten free toast for hubby and vegee bacon for me. All the staff were lovely and helpful but a special thankyou to Lisa who checked us in and made us feel welcome and at home. She made all the difference after a 5 hour drive in a very hot car. It was amazing to have air con in the room when it was 30 degrees + outside
- lindacB4018EK (8/5): Great staff - We were at the hotel for 3 nights visiting family in Honiton and the surrounding area. First impression was that the hotel looked a bit tired from the outside however the room(s) we had were comfortable and the young man who greeted us on our first day (Kieran) was very friendly and welcoming. We had a problem with our bathroom lights in our room that although it could not be fixed we were helped by Kieran very quickly. We were advised that the hotel was full and as we could not be moved to another room straightaway Kieran said we would get free breakfasts for our remaining 2 mornings and the refund of a nights stay. We moved across the corridor into another room the following day.
I did have to ring the hotel a few days after we returned home and I spoke to Eleanor as the one night refund had not gone through, it was sorted then by Eleanor very quickly.
We would definitely book into this hotel again when visiting family.
- aprilhZ705NH (10/5): A great stay with tip top customer service!!! Pleasure to meet you all. - Best premier inn customer service for a long while! We arrived here last night after a 5 hour drive from Sussex. We were greeted by a smiling lady called Lisa. She helped us check in. She then apologised that the restaurant was about to close but then proceeded to recommend a restaurant within a short walk from the hotel. We went to our room, which was lovely and clean, as usual for prem inn! Then we decided to have a drink at the bar and was greeted again kindly by Lisa and her colleague, Eleanor. Both ladies were kind, friendly, helpful and overall great! We told them we were moving to the area and they were very positive about the area. This morning we were greeted by another friendly face, this time a man. He was again very helpful and welcoming. He was working very hard making sure tables were clean and greeting new customers with a smile. We said he was a gentle giant. Thanks guys. You are a credit to premier inn and we will be recommending that when our friends and family come to visit they check in at your hotel. Great experience. Once again thank you all. See you soon. X
- meganoK4835UC (6/5): Pay cheap get cheap - Check in was easy and the room was clean but there’s so many simple things that need fixing.
The shower head doesn’t stay up so you have to hold it the whole time.
The air con doesn’t work (this has been the case both times I’ve stayed at this hotel).
There were two of us in a room but we were only provided one towel.
- JimB3453 (6/5): Average hotel with great staff - We used this Premier Inn as a stopping off point on our trip to Cornwall due to the two newborns added to our entourage and it served its purpose. Priced very high due to its location and I suspect this utility the price in no way matches the accommodation. The rooms are your standard Premier Inn but the whole place is a little down on its heals or overused. Just feels a little tired. That said the staff were the real highlight, friendly and helpful in equal measure.
- KateLondon_9 (8/5): Nice stop off - We stayed for one night. We all got a good night’s sleep. It was a bit understaffed - the same two ladies seemingly doing the check in assistance, the bar, the food service. The breakfast was very good. So much choice. Took a while to get a drink in the bar area and not everything was available. Good stay nevertheless.
- Buffaloswife (10/5): Stay Often, Great Location - Great location, comfortable beds, lovely staff. We stay here every time we visit Horsham, which is quite often. The rooms are comfortable for 2 of us and we even had our daughter and 3 grand children with us once and they have a comfortable family room as well. They enjoyed breakfast when they stayed as well.
- O7967VPandyg (4/5): Another disappointing stay - We stayed here on the way to and from our holiday in Belgium as the Channel ports are 7 hours+ from home. On the way out, the air-con in the room wasn't working, and neither was it on the way back. It would appear that there are issues with the air-con on the second floor as rooms 202, 203, and 205 all had air-con that didn't work. It was 24° outside, and as the rooms have non-opening windows, it was like trying to sleep in a greenhouse. Extra fans were offered but all these did was circulate the hot, stuffy air around the room.
- helencC2036HD (10/5): Fabulous Staff! - Pretty standard Premier Inn, the location for us was perfect as we were going to a family celebration & the hotel was walking distance for where we were going. What sets this hotel apart though is the fabulous staff! They simply couldn't do enough for you! There was an issue with taxis on Saturday, we needed one for one of our party, but we couldn't get one at all! We managed to work around it, but apparently one lady was in tears at reception as she was going to a wedding and couldn't get a taxi, the outcome? A member of staff took her in their car! That goes above & beyond in my opinion!
- HelenAnnThomas (10/5): A comfortable stay - We booked a 2 night stay whilst attending a karting event at the nearby Dunkenswell Raceway. The hotel was easy to access from the main A303 and there was plenty of parking. Check in was easy and the room comfortable. We didn't have breakfast but did eat in the restaurant one evening which was very good. The pizza's in particular were excellent, being cooked to order.
Honiton high street is approx a 10-15 minute walk away and we enjoyed a nice dinner in a local gastropub one evening. The Premier Inn actually had a folder listing the local pubs and restaurants in the area which was very handy.
We've stayed in a few Premier Inns and this one was certainly one of the better ones, having good facilities nearby and friendly staff.
- Travel734861 (10/5): Great place to stay - This is my go to place to visit. The hotel is super clean, the manager - Oussama is friendly, helpful and generous. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and its centrally located near restaurants, supermarkets and bars.
- 557dawnm (10/5): Fabulous..best Premier Inn stay EVER. - Absolutely wonderful stay. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly Kieran on front desk. He made us feel very welcome and gave us an ice pop as it was warm outside. He checked us in and booked dinner for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Beds were so comfy, room clean and a lovely bath and shower.
Dinner was lovely and not rushed at all. Would say that we have stayed in over 40 premier inns and this is the far best.
We stayed here as we were on the way to a week’s stay in Cornwall and this was an added bonus as half way.
Well done Kieran and all staff!,
- loveholidaysandfood (10/5): A lovely visit - Great overnight stay prior to visiting Dunkerswell airfield. The bed was soon comfy, I didn't want to leave! Best night's sleep in ages.
The place was clean and tidy and breakfast was good quality. However, the cook didn't seem to understand / be able to anticipate supply and demand at busy times and, when we arrived, a few people were waiting for eggs. Then mushrooms ran out and were replenished twice with so.ething rather raw looking. Still, overall a plentiful and tasty breakfast.
Check in and check out were straightforward.
Would defo stay again.
- 296deborahh (10/5): Excellent overnight stop. - The breakfast and evening meal were plentiful and very acceptable. The bed was comfy with extra pillows if needed. Great shower with extra towels. The staff were polite and friendly. All in all a very pleasant overnight stop on the way to Cornwall
- kaykH7675UT (10/5): Holiday weekend - Had a 2 night away with the fiancé and we had the best time! Breakfast was good too and so were the facilities! Thank you for the hospitality. We aim to return to this hotel soon especially as honiton is home to us. We watched Tv and I brought my laptop for entertainment!
- Vacation03846670143 (10/5): Really enjoyed staying at the hotel - My parents stayed in a hotel for 5 nights. They were happy with a room, bed, facilities. Very quiet despite the hotel is situated in a town centre. They loved food served at breakfast time. Staff was kind and polite. They rally enjoyed staying at Premier Inn.
- NCStace (10/5): Perfect place - Perfect location. We stayed just one night had a lovely big room. Very hot day room was a little hot but it would be at home too! A little noisy as we were on the front and music playing until late but it didn’t bother us too much. Lovely bars and restaurants in the area just on the doorstep. I need a reason to come back here as it was so nice
- K250UBruthb (6/5): Could be better - A 2 night stay. The bed was comfortable. But the room was very hot and no opening windows, it smelt stale. The air con does not go below 19C. The staff gave me a fan for my second night, but it did not help and was noisy.
Breakfast was ok, though both black pudding and bacon were dry and overcooked. The sliced bread is cheap and has no flavour.
The hotel is close to town and good restaurants but on Saturday night the bars are noisy and on Sunday morning lots of broken bottles on the pavement.
- 77lyf (4/5): Doubt I'll use it again, but heard that it is better than the one by the station - Curtain rail fell off when I tried to look out the net curtains. Shower didn't seem to be able to maintain a warm temp - flicked between hot and cold. WiFi was slow, extra money for a good connection.
A third of the price of the room to check in 'early' (11am) seemed like a lot but probably worth it, however would've rathered not had to pay so now I know that is a thing it'll move me towards staying at a more personal bnb in the future where that probably isn't a rule
- kez279 (4/5): It’s a shame . - Restaurant poor quality food, not hot and expensive.
Rooms not enough towels and when requested they were produced from under the bottom of the receptionist!
Car park although not owned by premier inn very expensive and electric charges are only for business contracted use .
Issues with the room keys as the key machine was playing up so it took a while for them to work and we only got 1.
- fionasP1958NZ (8/5): Location location location! - Great location, great beds, tired room. For a flying visit to Horsham you can't beat this hotel for location, good price too. The curtains were ripped and hanging off the rail, only real negative. We only slept there as we were meeting friends for dinner, so many places to eat & drink in Horsham. The "M" bar is not to be missed.
- 120sadiqj (8/5): Travelling to See a Friend - The beds and the pillows are MAGNIFICENT.
Ideal location basically in the heart of Horsham with plenty of food places and bars.
The staff were reasonable and the Hotel was close to all amenities.
I was close enough to where I needed to be so i could either walk or take public transport.
- MargaretW611 (10/5): Excellent value - Clean quiet room (327). Had a great night’s sleep. Very reasonable price for a central location. Car park just across the street. We opted for a continental breakfast which was very good and quite sufficient for our needs. The full breakfast also looked good. Could not fault this hotel.
- chrislX3777ZR (4/5): Very poor example of a Premier Inn - Arrived and reception was chaotic finally got to the front and paid for the room which was clean and comfy having stayed at several Premier inns before I had the meal deal as well. I have never been so underwhelmed by a menu with so little choice 3 starters (one which was chips) and was on most of the main courses I decided to have the fish and chips the fish was cold and soggy. And I have seen bigger fish fingers. I decided to just leave the food and went for a Indian instead guess it’s my fault for not checking the menu first as every Premier Inn I had been to before had a large selection
- dexter41 (10/5): Excellent central location and quiet - It's in the centre of the town, next to a few restaurants and a Starbucks so it's handy,
It doesn't have carpark but there is a multi storey literally less than a 1 minute walk away at
Piries Place Car Park. It felt safe~well lit, but height restricted and it's around £11 for 24hrs pay on exit.
The hotel has a lift and 4 floors so it's quiet from outside noise.
Breakfast ~ was the usual cheap rapeseed oil drenched cooked and sugar filled cereals.
They have one 4 slot toaster for everyone....so it's a queue to get any toast. (Especially annoying when people leave their children to hog it!)
- Rory_Ferguson (8/5): Great location and soo comfortable - Great place just outside of the bar areas but very well sound proofed. Comfortable and modern perfect for a birthday celebration with friends when you just need a place to sleep close to the restaurants and bars so no need for an uber when it’s time for bed
