Guest Reviews
- christinepQ7878FT (8/5): What you would expect from a Premier Inn. - Usual premier inn standard, more than acceptable.
Bedroom a nice size, and was clean & tidy.
Bathroom did not have a clean smell about it, however leaving the fan running helped a lot.
Very friendly & helpful staff.
Would visit again
- I2861DVgrahamw (10/5): The BEST PREMIER INN I have stayed in 👏👏👍 - The best Premier inn I have ever stayed in and I have used a few, we got a huge Welsh welcome on arrival & biscuits from Alison the manager, she was very friendly & professional & nothing was too much trouble informing us of places to eat locally, the hotel was spotlessly clean but did smell strongly of cleaning products Alison the manager did apologise and said they were using different levels of cleaning products to get the balance correct and thanked us for letting her know, breakfast next door in Brewers Fayre was brilliant as always, the room we had was 206 overlooking the carpark so it was very quiet & dark plus it had a bath ! Definitely recommended this hotel & will be back for more of the same. Alison & her team are a CREDIT to Premier Inn I hope managers above Alison's pay grade read this post
- jeremycO4675NF (10/5): Great base for road ride - Good location to ride a road bike in wales with good scenic rout with low traffic. Gospel Pass and the Tumble were highlights
- andrealK8132AW (8/5): wonderful night sleep. - It is just outside Abergavenny but i knew this when i booked. its about a 5 to8 min drive into the town. The reception staff were very welcoming. We were checked in very quickly. The room as clean and tidy and you are able to set the room temperature you want very easily. It very quiet at night even though it is close to a busy road. i had a bath with a shower over which was good. water lovely and hot. Plenty of towels although the bath towels were on the small size. the skirting board in the bedroom needed painting. I was there for two nights and i do not mind using the same towels or keeping my room tidy. I would have like to have the tea and coffee topped up for the second day. I would have liked to have some biscuits which i did not get on either day.
- timothyrobertbeech (2/5): Over charged and no money back - Not a bad stay but you charged me twice for 2 meal deals 24 hours after our stay that we did not ask for or get why can you be so high handed with my credit card and when asked refused to give me the money back
this organisation is a scam rip off getting hold of them is nigh impossible and they won’t help you I think I spoke to customer service they should not call themselves that they don’t provide service
- michelleiU2581VF (4/5): Noisy due to room location - Not a very good nights sleep due to room being located next to reception door. Very noisy and disturbed sleep. The stay was not worth £111 for the night. I have always been happy with most of my stays at Premier Inn.
- V2031KKsandyc (8/5): Overall good eperience - I had a pleasant stay at the Premier Inn in Abergavenny. The location was convenient, the staff were welcoming, and the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. While the bathroom felt a bit dated and the towels could use an upgrade, overall my experience was positive, and I would happily return.
- tonyhD1389KL (2/5): Very disappointed - Heating controls not working so boiled all night, no condiments even though kettle provided, no phone in room so walked to reception but no one there.
- DB897 (4/5): Shame about poor housekeeping standards. - It seems that the Premiere Inn experience is being pared back with only limited furniture in the room. The bed was comfortable but there are cleaning issues in this hotel. Under the bed there was an accumulation of dust with a clear ‘tide line’ showing where the vacuum cleaner was not used. Down the corridors at the edges of the carpet there are grey lines of dust where again inadequate cleaning is evident. This is not good if you are allergic to dust.
There was a poor television signal with BBC channels not available.
Food in the adjacent Brewer’s Fayre was predictably very poor.
- Dr_Bhindu (10/5): Great service and lovely location - Great location to visit brecon beacons.very clean and comfortable rooms.excellent service.highly recommend.the staff was very friendly and gave us lots of information.
- Daydream735135 (4/5): Abergavenny Premier Inn - For the price paid per night (over 170 including breakfast), I expected the facilities and levels of cleanliness to be high. Previous cleans missed old bedding which was left under the bed. One bedside table was a bar stool and the bathroom extraction was broken. Clear signs of evidence of water damage to the bathroom skirting boards. The look of the room was tired and in need of refurbishment.
- tkmk15 (4/5): Good hotel bad website - It's a good hotel, good location, friendly staff, but I got caught out by surge pricing when booking the room (selected a room at one price, went to pay, website crashed, went to rebook and price had increased by £20) so won't be booking with premier inn again.
- gamingprofromhells (10/5): Brilliant service. - Brilliant service from Jessica and Chris, both respectful and helpful with a side of laughter. Couldn’t fault the rooms or service. Keep up the good work.
- 19emmanuels (8/5): Excellent Customer Service - I stayed at the Premier Inn Abergavenny with my best men and groom’s men the night before my wedding,
I made a mistake with the booking and Jessica and Chole on reception were fantastic. They helped me with changing the room. They were as accommodating as they could be considering it was my mistake.
The room was clean and it had everything that we needed for the price we paid and where it was. Real value for money.
In addition to this, there is a Costa coffee, Mc Donald’s and a pub next door. The pub took last orders at 9:30pm though (it was a Monday) and the Premier Inn isn’t too far from the town centre anyway.
Great stay all round!
- PaolinaSonica (10/5): Great place just a short walk from the town centre - Great location, just a 15 minutes walk from the centre of the town. Big and clean rooms, lot of parking space available and it’s free for the guests of the hotel.
The only downside is that if you need a good internet connection (for either work or just watching Netflix or browsing on Google) you will need to pay for the service, which is £5 for 24 hours and max 3 devices.
But apart from this, great place to stay!
- M8708TRheatherc (10/5): Great for touring, clean, comfortable and a good night's sleep - Clean, quiet, safe place with free parking and great views of the mountains. There are three places to eat next door so you don't have to move your car unless you want to go into Abergavenny itself. Not far to drive there but definitely a car journey - the town and the castle are worth a trip. Friendly staff, well run and I would stay again.
- 561giedrea (6/5): A Digital Detox Hotel - The room was clean and the staff were friendly – no issues at all on that front. However, the free Wi-Fi was shockingly bad – I couldn’t even send a simple WhatsApp message or load a basic Google page. Strangely, the mobile signal was perfectly fine just outside the hotel but almost nonexistent inside. It felt like signal blocking might be in place to push guests towards buying the "premium" Wi-Fi – if that’s the case, it’s very disappointing and outdated!
The room had AC, but it would also have been useful to have a fridge and an iron in the room.
- crazyrach (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - We've stayed in many Premier Inns over the years and this is one of the better ones. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were delightful, especially Denise who went above and beyond to help us with our stay. The Brewers Fayre staff were also very helpful and friendly.
- ettelbruck (10/5): Chain motel - but with local touch - We stayed here three nights when every day meeting my wife's friend on 12 minutes walk off this hotel.
Not that fancy, but extremely practical. Nice basic room on very nice budget price. So clean. Good parking, with many services nearby.
We were every day 12-14 hours off the room. If you have bright idea for daily programme - this good excellent place for reasonable priced nights!
- noodlesn (10/5): Great location and value - Seems very new, all spotless and everything needed as usual. Wish could always ask for a top floor room as always get a heavy footed person above but this wasn’t too bad. Friendly and helpful on reception as always will stay again for sure. Easy to find also. Great location.
