Guest Reviews
- ghockley1981 (8/5): Clean comfortable rooms a 5min drive from Lapland UK and Legoland - Great staff, good rooms with a beefeater next door made for a nice easy stay with everything you need.
There is a petrol station with a M&S a 1 min drive down the road.
- L7770SFml (10/5): I was here for a business trip, and I had such a wonderful experience. The place was fantastic, and the staff was incred - I was here for a business trip, and I had such a wonderful experience. The place was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I really loved the beautiful location and the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. A big thank you to the staff who made my stay so comfortable!
- tonibV4106HO (4/5): Cold room and restaurant that had run out of staples - When we eventually found the hotel ((not signposted at road end) and got to our room it was very cold -15o. Receptionist was so helpful. She set the room control so that the power stayed on and brought a radiator. So by bedtime it was cosy. But then it went off in the night so we got up in the cold. No heating in bathroom. At dinner we were told that the fish fryer was broken so no fish. They had run out of curry and of our chosen wine they only had one glass. Something very wrong with stock control.
Bedroom nicely refurbished but was it really necessary to squeeze a day bed in as well as a double. It was very cramped.
This is the second Premium Inn this year to have disappointed. The name is being dragged down. The staff here were kind, helpful and friendly - a contrast to Harrogate south which still seems to be unsatisfactory.
- Gregorysgirl67 (8/5): Hotel OK, needs a refresh - Stayed at this Premier Inn the night after visiting lapland uk which is only 6 minutes away by car. Also a lovely longacres garden centre 2 mins drive away which was very festive.
Hotel was a great location. Felt clean but a little tired in places.
Breakfast was OK but nothing special, the restaurant which is the beefeater also felt a bit tired & grubby in places. That being said it was a great location for one night.
- BenR925 (10/5): Comfortable & good value. - We stayed for 2 nights in a Premier Plus room over a weekend & found it to be lovely & quiet. The room itself was very clean & comfortable & I'm guessing it was one of those recently refurbished. The complimentary water & chocs in the mini fridge were very welcome. The wi-fi was not the fastest.
Coffee was either in the form of a sachet via a kettle or a pod coffee maker. There was also tea available, as you'd expect. Plenty of extra sachets/bags available at the reception.
Plenty of free parking when we visited & the Horse & Jockey pub/restaurant next door catered for our evening meals. They are independent of the Premier Inn & weekend brunch/breakfasts don't start there until 10 am, so if you want an earlier meal, you'll have to look elsewhere - we went to the White Hart in town, which opens at 8 am.
The walk into town takes around 20 mins & is along a busy main road.
Dave at reception checked us in & was very friendly & helpful, as were all the other staff we encountered.
If staying in the area wouldn't hesitate to book in here again.
- JuliaA_12 (10/5): Perfect Lapland UK Base With Mattress From Heaven - Stayed overnight to go to Lapland UK the next day along with some other families. The Christmas decs were out which was lovely. It was the bed that made it - it's true what they say about Premier Inn mattresses - I felt like I was being cradled by a giant cloud from the Land of Snooze. Life can never be the same again. No bed will ever be good enough. I need to buy one!!
- FarAway09949470857 (10/5): Dartstournament at Aylesbury - Nice bed. Clean room. Friendly staffTell us that there was more coffee availabale at the reception, we didn't know until we got back home. Mayby a cowork with some bakery or something for breakfast. We didnt have any food. The pub nearby was to late open for us. 10 O'clock was to late becouse we had an dartstournament at that time.
- B1266KSianm (8/5): Nice place .. turn the heating up in the rooms though - Rooms are very clean , restaurant is great and the staff are very helpful. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 as rooms were cold . 17 degrees and impossible to adjust as the thermostat is fixed . I’ve stayed here a number of times and staff are very helpful. Special mention to Michelle who is always on the go. Nice place overall
- amywT1220OQ (10/5): Comfy stay - free parking - An excellent stay, nice and quiet, lots of free parking, a comfy bed and some great staff. Kind, helpful and really keen to go the extra mile. Bernie was the best!! We ate at the horse and jockey next door for dinner which was close and good value. Room had a good coffee machine and free chocs!!
- omarfA656IP (2/5): Lovely hotel but service was poor - The hotel was lovely, but the service was poor. The receptionist on arrival was extremely unhelpful, dismissive and obnoxious about the problems we had. The service ruined the experience.
- dons749 (10/5): Well up to expectation - Everything at this Premier Inn well up to expected standard. Staff helpful, room comfortable and very clean, parking included in price, even a corridor link to the separate restaurant (avoiding the dash in the rain). Full marks.
- amandabP6579JE (10/5): Stunning room Great staff - Fabulous room spotlessly clean, well equipped and quiet. Easy to use air-conditioning and stunning bathroom with fabulous shower. Great nights sleep. Reception staff on check in (Dave I believe) was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Staff member on checkout was also very friendly
Nice pub just next door served a great breakfast good fuel before our journey home.
- Muss132 (10/5): Excellent stay - 1st time here and will definitely be back - spotless throughout - lovely atmosphere in the bar and dining room - great meals and drinks and value for money - all the staff really nice and helpful nothing too much bother -
- TA-14561 (10/5): Quality Premier Inn - Quick and friendly service on check in, fresh and clean room. Great convenient location. Amazing food in the attached restaurant. Will return.
- FarAway55872004148 (10/5): Very impressive - I stayed here for work first a couple of nights,I must say check inn was easy, the room was specious and very clean, and staff were very helpful, definitely recommend
- bethanm601 (8/5): This Inn continues to improve. - We stay here rather than other Premier Inns.
The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms have walk-in showers. They have been refurbished too
The meal this evening was the best we have experienced in a Premier Inn anywhere.
It was fresh and properly cooked.
The lady who served us, Michelle, is friendly and helpful. She remembered us as soon as she saw us. Now that is exceptional. She is good at her job and does it with a smile.
We will be back.
- K8695AHjanetb (8/5): Great staff but would not eat here - Excellent helpful warm staff couldn't do enough to assist. Would not bother eating here as found the burgers dry and tasteless and looked like done in a microwave. Quite a few menu items not available including pizzas, flatbreads etc etc Noticed a few people having a food delivery and folks coming in with MacDonalds
- jasene2016 (10/5): What a lovely Premier Inn - What a lovely Premier Inn, rooms and public area's were very clean, along with helpful and friendly staff. Looking forward to my next trip back.
- 639JackieS (10/5): Friendly staff and spotless room - The reception staff on arrival and departure were very professional and friendly. The room was spotless and the cleaning staff were friendly. The room was very well stocked with facilities for hot drinks and bathroom supplies.
- Y7731HSwaynek (10/5): Premier Aylesbury - Friendly service from Bernie on check in, comfortable, quiet stay.
Pub next door serves lovely meals at reasonable prices.
- mariawB2406KV (2/5): Unhappy, overpriced - Do not go here, stayed for one night, travelled from Somerset receptionist miserable not welcoming, room wasn't even ready. Went to eat in restaurant next door, food was horrendously expensive. Decoration in bar area was horrendous.
- kevinbK4130JZ (10/5): Visit ascot races - Stayed at bagshot premier inn to visit the races at ascot and had a fantastic stay staff very friendly and welcoming also in the pub nextdoor will stay there again if going to ascot again very convenient and good value
- N3900EYdavidl (10/5): Convenient, clean and comfortable - Convenient, clean and comfortable with welcoming and friendly staff as we have come to expect from Premier Inn. The room was smaller than all other Premier Inns we have stayed in but was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was excellent. We had the ‘Meal Deal’ and dinner was very good and exceptional value.
- wholesomef2025 (10/5): Cleanest rooms - Clean hotel, lovely staff who were very attentive, couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you to the whole team and housekeeping
- KVMudge (6/5): Good location and a receptionist who made our stay great - Receptionist was lovely
No lift but a few rooms on ground floor
Room ok - no luggage shelf or rack
Shower gel like water
No aircon but heating and fans available
Breakfast was not as good as advertised.
Cooked breakfast was lovely
Crumpets, pancakes and muffins were awful. Danish pastry’s were good.
Considering the size of the hotel the hot food buffet was small causing a queue.
Check out was easy
- sallym0rgan (10/5): Very helpful and friendly service!! - We were there for the Ayr races on Saturday 20th September with my family, husband and my Mum and Dad
We had breakfast there- it was lovely and very good quality, I left my umbrella by mistake, called the girl at reception- they could not be more helpful, they were keeping it for me at reception when we got back
On coming back to the hotel from the racecourse, I left my phone in the taxi and did not know which taxi service it was......
Not only did Ami and Michelle on front reception call the restaurant we had dinner at, Fox and Willow, which was amazing! Ami found out which taxi company they used, called the taxi company and found the driver who brought my phone back!!
It was unbelievable I got it back, but could not have without the amazing help of Ami and Michelle- we are so grateful for their help, they went above and beyond for us
We will definitely be back- thank you Ami and Michelle
- Brycii (8/5): Gold Cup. Gold Service. - Had dinner at the adjoining restaurant ( we weren't staying at the hotel). It was a busy weekend locally so the restaurant was full and running at full capacity. The staff were fantastic, they ran the service like clockwork and always with a smile and a joke. They were efficient and friendly without appearing flustered: very professional. They made sure they had a few minutes to chat with each customer without affecting the smooth running of the restaurant. Big shout out to Ami , Michelle & Kayla. Well done girls.
- Curiosity46995672611 (10/5): Brilliant service - Comfortably the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in. Friendly service, very courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Superb!
- E4423HFdaveh (10/5): BRILLIANT 5 STAR HOLIDAY INN - LOCATION & SERVICE - 12 WEDDING GUESTS AND FAMILY STAY AT HOLIDAY INN AYLESBURY 5th thru 7th Sept 2025.
We all wish to extend the biggest thank you to all the staff at this Hotel. Our experience and stay in our brief time there was nothing less than exceptional. I don't normally give feed backs, much less pick out individuals! However, this time I to thank Raj at reception the afternoon we all arrived. How he managed all 12 of us, each with their own individual special requirements and all speaking at the same time at him. How he kept his cool professionalism, well hat off to you Raj, just brilliant.
Then at meal times, again not an easy task for anybody handling 12, but the staff were outstanding. Three stand outstanding commitment to great service, Sanjaya (Chef) Most of us requested a curry, but with specific individual requests for varying hot and mediums strengths. Sanjaya, not one piece of curry left for clearing up! All was perfect, thank you, Unfortunately, did not get names of the Evening and Breakfast Staff on duty that Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th. All so very helpful, again trying to handle 12 with individual needs was just simply GREAT - THANK YOU ALL.
Finally, just wish to say I thoroughly recommend this Holiday Inn to all in the Bucks area wishing to find accommodation.
Dave and Sofia Troullinos &
ALL WEDDING PARTY GUESTS
- Holly1202 (10/5): Nice hotel with excellent staff - I stayed at this hotel on Thursday 11th Sept with our car club. On arrival we were greeted at the reception by Kayla. She welcomed us and booked us in and explained the arrangements for our evening meal and breakfast. Having popped my gear to my room I returned to the reception area where the bar is located and found that Kayla also served drinks, multitasking! Having had my beer I then moved on to the restaurant with the group for our evening meal only to find that not only did Kayla work the reception and the bar but also served the evening meals! I stay at a lot of hotels and it's the staff that make the difference and Kayla deserves as a minimum a bonus if not a pay rise as she seemed to do everything except cook the food, well done.
- Markdubya (6/5): Decent room but pretty average overall - Not sure what is happening to Premier Inn's at the moment but overall they have gone from excellent for the money to pretty average to poor. The outside of the building is in need of TLC which is the same as a majority of the inside. Rooms are reasonably decent though.
Breakfast at this site was truly dire with lack of selection, cooked food not replaced fast enough and some left to just solidify. Tables were dirty and sticky and the restaurant is very very tired. Staff were good its just the whole building needs a refurb.
I would not use this hotel again.
- W8201TKjoanneg (6/5): Stay - I stayed at this hotel on 7th Aug very last min due to having a poor experience in Bracknell’s branch and I particularly felt supported and comfortable by Elyse as a lone traveller being a woman
Clean room spacious. Looked very tired outside lots of litter!
- dawnmA1955QD (10/5): Great service - 5* to the staff at premier inn including Bernie, all the staff are very helpful and I would stay again. Thank you. Very clean and new rooms
- oliviadO2996VP (10/5): Amazing stay, will stay again! - Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Very clean room, couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The breakfast was very nice, all catered for
- 698ciarad (10/5): Would stay again - A really good experience at this hotel. Rooms are immaculate and staff are helpful, especially the manager who was extremely helpful. I would stay again.
- X5632GGpaulap (10/5): Will definitely return to this hotel - Lovely 2 night stay at Aylesbury Premier. Has recently been refurbished so all clean and fresh. Had a good nights sleep as the room was quiet. No air conditioning but not a problem as a fan was provided in the room. Breakfast is not available at this hotel but there is the pub next door which serves from 10:00 and is good value. Overall a pleasant experience which added to our trip. We will definitely be staying again on our next visit.
- 815tendaic (10/5): Great experience - Had a pleasant stay there. We went as a couple for just a weekend getaway from home. The rooms were clean and tidy and also the staff were nice and helpful.
- harryfH4992UY (10/5): Excellent stay - Check in was extremely quick and easy. Team did a great job making sure I had the correct room. Room was really clean and overall hotel was very clean.
- P9312DKmeganr (10/5): Very pleased:) - I stayed two nights here and was very impressed with the service! It was very clean and the staff were all lovely, would definitely recommend!
- 33ninap (10/5): Ayr - you did it all and more. - This stay was outstanding- everything about this inn meets your needs. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - a place we'd come back to. Thank you Ayr Racecourse Premier Inn.
- Carriehilton (4/5): Do not stay during hot weather - Stayed on 13 August, when I checked in I was offered a sheet as an alternative to the duvet, which I accepted. When I got to the room it was very hot, 28.5 degrees, I put the fan on which was noisy. I did not sleep well, it was so hot, and put the fan on and off, but it was noisy and couldn't sleep with it on. When I got up at 6.30am it was 29 degrees. I asked for the Good Sleep Guarantee refund, and they declined under clause 12 of the T&C. They are in the middle of refurbing this hotel but without air conditioning. Strongly recommend do not book in hot weather. Part of car park closed off, outside needs TLC but the room was lovely just way too hot.
- Meander50843002732 (2/5): For a poor night's sleep visit here. - Horrendous noise from within the hotel in the early hours on both the nights we stayed with no attempt to address it made by the hotel, not even an apology for us losing hours of sleep.
- 471carysw (2/5): Dont bother when building work going on - Staying in a building site wasnt the best when we came away for fun and relaxation. Dust everywhere.over powering smell
- Voyage33937004874 (10/5): Staff were amazing - Arrived Sunday the 3rd of August after a couple of stressful days to the warmest of welcomes even with the renovation work that was undergoing the staff were amazing the room was spotless and a massive thank you to Bernie and karen who welcomed us and booked us in early and was full of local knowledge they were amazing even with the work going on they went above and beyond a credit to the chain..many thanks
- irob250 (4/5): Hotel in a great place great room but there was a total Karen working there we were slightly late for our meal and turned us awa - Premier inn excellent but a total Karen working there turned us away at 7pm.for being slightly late restaurant 1/4 full terrible attitude
- 342martinl (2/5): Need to be a planner - Okay so this is a Premier Inn end of the day and the standard of the accomodation is as you would expect but if your planning to eat food make sure you prepare ahead.
After working for 15 hours and coming back here mid evening the kitchen refused to feed us, the ladies are really nice and were trying but the kitchen refuse to feed. Worst PI I’ve stayed in as this is totally unacceptable.
Written whilst hungry…..thanks for nothing!!!
- Jezmalta (4/5): A low end Premier Inn - without breakfast on weekdays - I was fairly shocked to learn on arrivals there was no breakfast provided on weekdays which for a Premier Inn is poor - the sink didn't drain properly and taps had an economiser fitted so at best produce a spray not proper flow of water.
One good thing was given it was hot a fan was provided given rooms were not airconditioned. This was critical to be able to sleep.
This is a low grade Permier Inn, if I were them I'd sell it rather than have it drag down a typcially good performing brand on general standards.
- E6464LGpaulm (4/5): Overnight stay to visit friends near Aylesbury - The welcome was nice and we were presented with a refurbished room.
However, the room had no air conditioning!
The bathroom door would not shut properly.
The shower was weak.
All unremarkable comments, you might think. However, dynamic pricing or not, booking at least a week ahead at almost £150 room only in a hotel that clearly wasn't full, this stay represented very poor value for money.
The follow morning, we enjoyed breakfast at the adjacent restaurant at a fair price. Upon leaving, I noticed the men's rest room was in a disgusting state.
- B6162VGneilm (10/5): Another fantastic stay - Hotel staff are professional, kind and very friendly. Hotel is clean, tidy and bedrooms have all the facilities you need. Bedding is great with choice of firm or soft pillows, great mattress and quilt. Menu meets most dietary needs and overall great value for money. Location excellent for golf courses and two beaches, close to historical sites and beautiful countryside.
- katem984 (10/5): Thank you Bernie! - Great renovation meant I had a lovely spacious brand new room. Hotel was also extremely clean. A special thanks to staff member Bernie who really went above & beyond to help me & is a lovely warm & helpful presence to have on staff. Highly recommended
- michaelm736 (10/5): Renewed Confidence In Premier Inn - Restored our confidence In Premier Inn after disastrous stay at Manchester West Didsbury last year. Enjoyable dinner and nice staff. Rooms are smaller but have step-in shower which we like. Bathrooms have effective ventilation and rooms also have directional bedside lights that allow reading - something in both cases much more expensive hotels can fail to do. No air conditioning, which again we like, despite a very warm night, - not fans of air conditioning as in Edinburgh Park Inn. Teapots for breakfast appreciated, not fans of tea bags in mug..
- 101cliveb (6/5): Slightly disappointing but willing to try again! - "Premier Plus" = Paying an extra £12 (actually £7 extra because you can get the ultimate wifi for a fiver without 'plus') for 2 bottles of water and 2 tiny (and I mean tiny) squares of chocolate ain't 'plus' anything in my book!
Calling the bed "double" is a bit of a stretch of the imagination as well! During the night my wife and I had more collisions than the Large Hadron Collider :-) This hotel doesn't even offer 2 single beds - if you ask for that you get the "double" plus a sofa-bed.
As a previous reviewer mentioned, the breakfast wasn't up to much. But we had the meal-deal and the starter/main choices were good and the food was nice.
Staff were friendly, but seemed overworked - like there weren't enough of them.
- apat1a (4/5): Not your money's worth until the place has had a full refurb - It's just the type of hotel where you sleep because you are passing through/doing something in the area.
That being said, our experience was poor and we feel we totally didn't get our money worth, considering a £150 charge, we found ourselves with: not a warm welcome (ok it was during the heatwave and the reception was essentially hell on earth but still); only 1 set of towels instead of 2 as if the booking hadn't been read correctly; the air conditioning wasn't working and we are fairly sure this was known because there was an old fan in the room (there was also a refurb going on in another wing of the place so would explain why it might have been cut).
There were only x3 sockets available and none near the bed, making it inconvenient for charging or if you had to be there for work.
As mentioned, there was a refurb so also the restaurant was closed and wasn't possible to get food, pubs in the area were shutting the kitchens at 9pm (pretty surprising and we are not from inner London) so that made it a rush in the evening and nothing to look forward in the morning after the night.
- andywN6376NH (10/5): Excellent hotel especially Bernie - The staff was amazing really helpful if I was stuck with anything or needed anything especially Bernie she was a amazing and would recommend it too anyone who is around the area and is looking to stay at a hotel and I will definitely be coming to stay here highly recommend this hotel 5stars from me 👍
- 615vicm (10/5): Great Stay - My room was an accessible room, the shower room was fantastic, everything to hand, the lighting within the shower room was great.
The room was warm and clean.
The beds were comfortable.
All the staff were friendly and professional.
The food was wholesome.
- donalda18 (10/5): Great staff - Just another premier inn on the outskirts of town. The attached pup was as expected too. However the staff and especially suran made our stay so good and enjoyable.

The end
- lindsayburnett001 (10/5): Great Premier Inn - Staff are so friendly and helpful. Premier Plus room was very nice and great value. Food meal deal was great value. Quality of food was good. Location of hotel is on outskirts of Ayr, basically surrounded by Arnold Clark dealerships. Not a problem though
- 200DAR (4/5): Disappointing and depressing experience - Where to start! This hotel has "Premier Plus" rooms and we booked a double for 2 nights, April 30th-May 2nd. I wouldn't bother with the extra expense for basically 2 bottles of water. The room was directly above a generator or AC unit working all night so the window couldn't be opened without hearing all the noise. These rooms should be in the best part of the hotel otherwise why bother having one. The shower flooded the floor because it hadn't been cleaned properly, we had to unblock the shower drain despite having told reception. We removed a complete blockage made up from masses of black hair-disgusting. To be fair reception did subsequently use some proprietary drain unblocker the next day and disposed of the hair from the bin. While on the subject of the shower why have a hand wash in the shower along with a body wash but no shampoo, there was already a hand wash at the basin? We asked for shampoo but none was forthcoming, just another body wash.
Breakfast- the first day the chef hadn't turned up so no cooked breakfast available. I had already pre-paid so was told that Premier Inn would refund £2 and I could have the "continental breakfast", I would be ashamed to present what was basically a slice of toast and a cup of coffee, the fruit and yoghurts hadn't been topped up. To add insult to injury the £2 refund has been added to my card as a debit-unbelievable!
Day 2 breakfast was also an insult to catering, pre-cooked hot items like dry scrambled eggs, solid fried eggs that were not recognisable as such, congealed baked beans etc, I needn't go on, I think you've got the picture. I wonder if any Premier Inn executives have ever eaten breakfast at this hotel, if they have and still market this product they should hang their heads in shame.
Overall a disappointing and depressing experience, I've used Premier Inn on numerous occasions but this really was a an eye opener that I will not want to repeat, and can I please have my £2 refund!!
- Curious01465036660 (10/5): Premier Inn - Excellent hotel. The staff are very friendly, and happy to help...Nice sized rooms, comfy bed , and pillows... Very clean and a great view of Arran.... Nice bar and restaurant
area, and good value meal deal.Breakfast nice and hot, in self serve basus. Plenty of parking spaces too.. I would definitely recommend a stay...
- Ron (10/5): Now the Premier Inn - This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking.
This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn.
Having paid in full through Expedia, was told at reception on booking in that we haven't paid so a credit card was presented and payment taken (again) from that. When we checked out, I had the email confirmation from Expedia which stated it had been paid in full. Hotel staff were very obliging and stated we should not have paid for breakfast either as that was included in the Holiday Inn Express price.
They were trying to sort this out as we left, still waiting to hear from them as to the result, hopefully a refund into my credit card.
Otherwise the hotel was excellent, ideal location, inexpensive meals, great and friendly staff - hello Laura :)
- A. Andersen (8/5): Flot, nyistandsat - Et godt nyistandsat hotel ved byens omfartsvej. Er nu Premier Inn.
- Lorri (8/5): overall good value - Great stay was excellent value for money. Breakfast was included in our price and wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with choice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok for one night - the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was ok - with small plates and small glasses no doubt to encourage small portions - and the smallest pastries ever. the tv remote control didn't work, but you could work the tv with the buttons on the top. i hadn't known what an "accessible" room was before I booked. It means fitted for disabled or wheelchairs. I didn't need these fittings, and wouldn't choose this again. I hope I didn't accidentally deprive someone who needed these facilities. It had been the only double room available at booking.
- Clare (10/5): Convenient - Convenient, tidy, value for money, easy parking, clean room and public areas
- David (8/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - lovely team & good value - Had a two night stay recently and would highly recommend, pretty much the cheapest deal for two nights we found anywhere in Scotland - nicely appointed hotel, with bar and a decent brekkie. Staff where excellent a real bonus in this place, they were great.
You get a larger bed in most other places, but that is a real minor quibble.
Superb value for a really nice stay, easy to get to (you need a car before and during your stay though), clean, smart and a good place to stay for a wee trip to Ayr.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - More than adequate for the night
- Verified traveler (10/5): Holiday in express Ayr - Very comfortable stay at this hotel, very clean and great service, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only downside was breakfast, very little choice of food but for the price we paid can't really complain.
- Katrina (8/5): Holiday inn express Ayr - Nice and comfy, staff was really nice even ordered us in a takeaway which was so nice . Only complain would be room was cold when we arrived , but apart from that id stay again .
- Catriona (8/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - this hotel was clean, comfortable, warm and very good value for money. Even the breakfast was varied and excellent
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place for convenience - This was a brief trip to visit family. This hotel was near the main road network and easy to find. Lovely modern hotel, good service, great price, really good breakfast. The only slight thing was some cobwebs and hair in the sink otherwise perfectly clean. We didn't complain as we were very tired. Overall I would happily stay there again. If you wanted to be near the beach then you might want to stay in the smaller hotels in the town but with this you have the benefit of knowing what to expect as it's a chain.
- John (8/5): Holiday Inn,Ayr,UK - Friendly.clean Hotel.Bonus is the Buffet breakfast each morning included in the price.Recommended for a stopover and close to Prestwick Airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - On arrival we found the staff to be very accomodating, room was comfortable and clean only minus was the lift was broken.
- Verified traveler (8/5): fantastic value - we booked this as a stopover for one night and couldnt really fault it, nothing much around the hotel but as long as you have a car, couldnt do much better!!
- Paul (10/5): - Stayed in Holiday Inn Express , Ayr at the start of a touring holiday in Scotland.Very convenient to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Beside Prestwick Airport.
Staff VERY friendly and helpful. Hotel FANTASTIC value for money and we will stay there again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Helt OK. - Ikke et supert hotell, men helt ok. Mat i resepsjonen er et pluss. Alt annet er bare ok.
- christine (10/5): happy to stay again - breakfast from 5 am -great for us as we had to be ice rink very early
hairdryer not working but hotel staff brought us a replacement in about 2 minutes when i phoned down at 6 am
great friendly people
- nichola (8/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr-very helpful staff - My partner, myself and two young sons aged 2 years and 7 weeks old stayed in a family room at the hotel and were very satisfied at the excellent service from the staff. The room was very clean and comfortable.the only gripe we had was the overpriced meal and drinks.Overall a lovely stay and staff made our family very welcome.would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - Hotel was adequate and room was clean. However, the breakfast was poor.
- paddywhack (10/5): Holiday Inn Ayr - Excellent facilities, value for money, cleanliness second to none, highly rated, would visit again.
- Mo (10/5): Great stay in Ayr - Perfect hotel for an overnight stay in Ayr, staff very friendly! Great for the price.
- David (2/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - I stop in lots of Hotels and this one lacks the basics
1. When entering the room it was freezing cold, when we switched the heating on it did warm up after a while however when we came back later that night there was no heat as if it is controlled centrally.
2. Hot water - is this Health and Safety gone mad, the shower and hot water tap had the maximum temperature of luke warm.
3. Room was clean and tidy no ironing board
4. We arrived back at the hotel at 00:15 to find that the bar was closed despite 2 staff being available there was no residents bar
5. Breakfast was okay
would not recommend this hotel they need to look at what customers want
- Tomas (8/5): Holiday Inn Express Ayr - Bra hotell som ligger lite avsides, dock nära till både flygplats och centrum. Mycket trevlig personal!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay over - New and fresh hotel. Quiet location even though it is a 6 pound taxi drive from the airport. Great service from friendly staff.
- janice (2/5): Noisy Spanish Guests Awaken you @ 5am - Not impressed by Reception Response - We stayed 1st April/3rd April 2011 we were awakened at 5am by noisy guests knocking on each others doors, finally silence at approximately 6.30am, when we complained at reception, on the same morning after breakfast, we were told this is a regular occurance by Spanish Guests who stay regularly as they catch a flight first thing in the morning from Prestwick Airport, all very well but we had a ruined day due to fatigue being wakened by noisy rude guests.
So beware, the Hotel does nothing about this, they are just accepting this as a normal occurance, yet they have a duty to stop this happening!!!! but they do nothing about it. This is unacceptable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Holiday Inn Express in Ayr - As usual a good stay for the money. Room nice and clean and breakfast very nice. The stay was only spoiled by fellow guests talking loudly and making noise near our room.
- Ron (10/5): Adequate for our needs - Found this hotel to be comfortable, friendly staff and an excellent brekfast bar.
Only drawback was actually getting into the hotel if your not used to the UK roundabout system. Being tucked in behind car yards didn't help.
- Alison (10/5): Holiday Inn Express, Ayr - We had an overnight stay with an early flight departure on 22nd Oct. Got to say the service was brilliant. We didn't arrive at hotel til after 8.30 so when we enquired about food, they promptly offered us a selection of take away menus which deliver very quickly to the hotel and they let us use there dining facilities. The receptionist booked our transport to the airport for us, which arrived at 6.00am prompt. There was a continental buffet served from 4.00am which we found very useful. There were also tea & coffee facilites in our room. All in all a pleasure to deal with.
- Cathy (6/5): Great price, limited amenities - This hotel, while a member of the Holiday Inn chain is not really comparable to an American motel. The room was quite spartan. However, the price included breakfast which was plentiful and in general this really was a bargain.
- Sea Aggies! (10/5): Friendly Hotel - If you are looking for a clean hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff this is your place! We were there during the World Cup and spent two evenings with other guests cheering on our team. Great location if you are planning an early flight out of Glasgow-Prestwick airport.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Holiday Inn, Ayr - Only one small pillow each, only two teabags and two sachets of coffee, very meagre. Toilet flush took some doing having to hold it in for some time before it worked. However the room was clean, the staff were polite and friendly and we were only staying one night so it was OK
- Taiju (6/5): Good for short business trippers - At the arrival to this hotel, I tought this stay would be quit dull because there was nothing around the hotel except a few automobile dealer shops. However, I found out that the hotel itself was cozy and good hotel staff made our stay enjoyable. It was sad that I had to miss their free finger foods during the first match of world cup soccoer. One minus point was the minimal selection of breakfast buffet. SInce they have a quite good buffet counter, they should try a bit harder to improve the food variation.
As tne name implies "Express", it may not suitable for travelers those staying multiple nights.
- Ulisse (8/5): Prestwick Airport - Molto comodo per chi arriva molto tardi a Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Meno di 10 minuti di taxi dall'aeroporto all'albergo.
- Hoti (10/5): Golf at Troon - 10 minutes from Prestiwick airport...
Within 20 min to all of the four course that we played and more to offer.
The only thing that was missing was bacon for breakfast but from that VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (the three of us were very satisfied with the hotel it self and personal workinig).
Thank you
- Lorna (10/5): Great family deal - Great wee break..hotel was basic, rate was good, school hols, sun was shining, staff were brilliant, receptionist arranged take away menus ,cutlery, plates etc...met our expectations and more..would definately recommend to families. Great value.
- G (8/5): Good value for rate paid - We stayed overnight to catch an early flight next day. Breakfast was provided for us at 5.30 and included in the price. Not too far to drive to the airport. Modern clean room with comfortable beds. The down side was the room was fairly cold. There was a heater in the room but it could only be on heating when the door entry card was in the slot for the electricity so after an evening out we went back to a cold room which took a long time to heat up. Unfortunately there were no extra blankets either. Overall very good value as we paid a last minute rate.
