Guest Reviews
- PCCH1983 (8/5): Good overnight stay - Good overnight stay in a refurbished Premier Plus accessible room. Very modern, clean and great wet room. The air conditioning was new, which provided good heat.
It's a big hotel and I thought it was disappointing there is no bar/lounge area or evening meals offered. Luckily, there is a really nice Toby Carvery next door.
We paid £15 for early check-in upon booking. Room was not ready when we arrived. The male receptionist said it was not guaranteed, it did not say this in the email, so make sure you get your £15 back if your room is not ready.
- ChesterMerlin (8/5): Nice comfortable stay - Great location, comfortable room although missed having a bath but shower cubicle a great size.
We couldn’t see out of the window as room was up in the eves and window very high!
The bar area was busy and had a nice atmosphere compared with other Premier Inns.
We only stayed one night for a show which was at the Venue and in walking distance
- KellyM699 (2/5): The Dirtiest Premier Inn I Have Ever Stayed In!! - The dirtiest Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in!!! On arrival at 11pm after 5 hrs driving we just settled straight into bed.
I’m not the type to inspect hotel rooms on arrival.
Next morning whilst getting ready we realised how filthy the room was. The settled dust must have been 3-6 months old at least. Dirty cups and dirty bathroom floor. At one point I sneezed (probably from the dust) and you could see dust fly up everywhere!
My stepson suffers with allergies and ended up having a nosebleed it was so bad.
The shower leaked which meant we had to use our towels to mop up the soaking wet and very dangerous floor.
Not one to complain we left for the day at 11am and I asked at reception kindly if we could have our room cleaned and some replacement towels. Receptionist agreed and wrote the request down. When we got back around 9pm the room hadn’t been cleaned and the towels hadn’t been changed.
I reported the whole situation to reception who gave me clean towels and explained they would report to the hotel manager the following morning.
When I spoke to the hotel manager the following morning she said the only complaint reported back was that I had requested a room clean which hadn’t taken place - no communication regarding the reason for requesting a room clean and how bad it was.
Staff communication at this hotel is very poor, they show little sympathy and this is by far THE DIRTIEST PREMIER INN I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!
I stay in various Premier Inn hotels around 6 times a year.
Not worth £190 for 2 nights
Not even worth £40 a night!
We get married next year at a nearby wedding venue and have listed this hotel to over 90 guests on our invitations. Following our visit last weekend we will be contacting all our invited guests and suggesting they AVOID this hotel and stay somewhere clean!
- map461 (10/5): Great stay - Fantastic from start to finish booking and help from Ian was first class , then met Ian when booking in , room was to our request fantastic view and no noise from outside , drinks in the bar at a reasonable price , will be back again thank you all and especially Ian, could not fault this hotel
- M8642NVrussellp (10/5): Exceptional Experience 10/10 - Fantastic meal at the onsite Beefeater Restaurant, food, service, atmosphere all outstanding. Tried this year's festive feast and it didn't disappoint. Hotel is excellent too.
- alybalybe (10/5): Perfect for a short stay - Very helpful staff, plenty of parking space, clean room with a comfortable bed and also a decent breakfast. Perfect for a short stay.
- Safari57026278553 (6/5): Disappointing - The location was excellent, the rooms basic. We either froze or boiled as the temperature was very difficult to change. The restaurant downstairs was very unaccommodating and kept wanting to separate us even although we were a big group of 24 and they had the room for us. There was a young lad at reception with glasses that was excellent. The same could not be said for the mature lady that worked in the evening.
We asked for the room to be cleaned and it wasn't. It was easier to just manage your own towel change. I'd stay there again but it's not around the guest comfort but the staff's ease.
- pdkshouse (10/5): Quiet, friendly and great location - Nice location if heading to Venue Cymru. Quiet at the hotel and staff were super friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean, only had one towel but a quick visit to reception and we were given more. Parked at the train station for 24hrs, was a little further to walk than anticipated. If I could give the staff 10 stars I would.
- 1Redhead (10/5): Great value in a great location - We were going to a concert at the theatre in Llandudno so chose this hotel for the central location and cost. We were impressed and thought it was excellent value for money. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. We were on the top floor so there was no direct view from the window but that didnt bother us at all. The people who work there were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was good value and plentiful. I am vegetarian and there was a good selection for me. We used the railway carpark just round the corner which was £5.50 for 24 hours, again good value.
- Nikshade (2/5): Disappointing - I stayed here on the 16th - 17th of November - in a Premier Plus room and had a very disappointing experience. I’ve stayed in many Premier Inn hotels before and the staff have always been friendly and helpful.
I called the day before to ask about early check-in and was told it would cost £15 from 11am but will be free from 1:30pm if the room was available. When I arrived at 2pm, the receptionist was unexpectedly hostile. He confirmed the room was ready and available but said I’d still have to pay £15 to check in before 3pm. He then told me I could wait until 2:30pm and was welcome to sit in front of him for half an hour. It felt unprofessional and like a money grab.
My room (218) was very clean but extremely cold, and the temperature controls didn’t work - I didn’t have a comfortable night. There was also a sewage smell coming from the vents. Overall, a poor experience and definitely not what I expect from a Premier Plus stay.
- theg253 (10/5): Great - Great stay. Convenient, comfortable, meal deal is fab. Couple of little issues that were dealt with, sorted by James. Many thanks
- Merecourt15 (10/5): Excellent - Absolutely superb stay rooms very big clean and comfy bed everything you need went to local theatre for show so perfect spot for walking from train station to the premier inn staff were excellent everyone friendly helpful and very welcoming well done team
- 516JohnP (10/5): A very pleasant weekend break - We went to Llandudno years ago and drove past a dirty rundown derelict building in the centre of Llandudno. What a surprise to find that this hotel was that building. What a transformation completely renovated . It is now a bright outstanding building right in the town centre. The bedrooms and dinning area are all very well presented and clean. The actual cooking area is open to view and is spotless. There is also a small bar / lounge area adjacent to the check in desk. The food of which there was quite a choice was well cooked both at dinner and breakfast. Compliments to the chefs. All of the hotel staff were very pleasant and really helpful. I have only one point to make. We had a very large family room with a large bay window but only one chair. There was ample room for another chair and possibly a small table in the window. Other than that the bed and large dressing table were fine. The bathroom which is obviously only a few years old was spotless and bright with its white suit and stainless steel shower (over the bath) which had hand and overhead rose heads.
- D280DGbobj (8/5): Good stay (again) - Good location, excellent breakfast, (clean dining area). nice atmosphere.
Premier plus room great.
Majority of staff helpful.
Room quiet at night.
- I8320BKwilliamm (10/5): Great hotel in a good location for all the local attractions - Great hotel in an excellent location for all the local attractions and the venue Cymru.(We attended a music show)
The premiere plus room was fabulous and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We will be visiting Llandudno again and we will definitely be booking the Premiere Inn.
We would highly recommend it as a great place to stay if visiting Llandudno or places nearby.
The one and only downside was no parking at the hotel but we parked at the nearby railway station for a really reasonable price£5.50 for 24 hrs.
- smlbrown (4/5): Not up to the usual Premier Inn standard - Stayed at Llandudno town centre. The room was good, as usual, other than there was a half finished packet of biscuits in the room that housekeeping had not cleared which questions how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. Check in was chaotic with the new(ish) system of scanning a qr code causing a queue of disgruntled guests who could not fathom how to work it and gave up and queued again at reception, tying up staff who could have helped at the terminals. We had no issues with the system once we could access a terminal, but maybe we are more tech savvy than some!
Luckily we did not pre-book breakfast because we were under time pressure and there was a queue (at 9am) although there were empty tables. The waitress was busy chatting to friends and there was no acknowledgment of the growing queue or any interest from other staff (not my job, I’m on reception….). After 10 minutes we left and went elsewhere - the Habit around the corner which was excellent and really good value for money.
As a result we are unlikely to stay at this Premier Inn again which is a shame as it is convenient for Venue Cymru where we regularly go for events.
- Kevin487 (10/5): Always Good - Premier Inn Llandudno town centre is our ‘go to’ hotel whenever we visit. Normally come to a show at Venue Cymru and the hotel is not too far away. It’s always clean, tidy, friendly staff and the breakfast are more than adequate.
- 659markr (10/5): Perfect - Location Perfect
Room Spotless
Staff excellent and friendly
Breakfast spot on
Bar great
I don’t know what more I can say, we stay in Premier Inn all over the place but this one takes some beating
Well Done
- kennethwL7970QW (8/5): Central Location near railway station. - Good clean rooms with comfortable beds.
Did not eat in hotel. Bar prices we found expensive. Great location near beach and town centre. Major supermarket close by, excellent cafes in easy walking distance.
Would visit again.
- alanbK6714BP (2/5): Never again. - I arrived at the hotel at about 8.30pm to find that there were no reception staff available. Instead there was a self check in system that included a programmable room access card. My room was on the first floor and the lift was out of order but I managed to get to the room and go inside. I found that the access card also controlled the lighting but had no idea that for the lights to stay on it needed to be placed in a slot in the control panel. This meant that when I was some distance inside the room all the lights went out leaving me in complete darkness. That I managed to make my way back to the door without falling over anything and get the lights back on was down to luck. As an OAP with mobility issues and with no-one nearby to help me, if I'd tripped over in the darkness and hurt myself I'd have been in serious difficulty. This was a health and safety nightmare.
- V6184UJchristinem (10/5): Excellent location, brilliant ! - Excellent location. Great building. Clean and all facilities you need. Friendly and helpful staff. Value for money breakfast which was delicious!
- I6992ERianp (10/5): Great service and value for money - Excellent service very clean staff are amazing great value for money. Stayed in an upgraded room this time and worth paying the extra
- B1398CDamandat (8/5): Llandudno - We are stopping at premier inn in llandudno just had an evening meal with a meal deal and thomas served us and his service was outstanding couldnt fault him at all.
- davey48 (10/5): Great trip - Lovely stay as always with premier inn. You always know what you're getting. Brilliant breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Paid for premier plus room to get a better view.
- MarkEllam (10/5): Great overnight stay - Clean, well furnished and functional room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location especially if visiting the very nearby Royal Mint Experience as we did before onwards travel to Pembrokeshire.
- 910AlisonS (10/5): Friendly staff - We've just spent 2 days here and from check in to check out the service from the staff was outstanding. They were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was also a bonus as everything was within minutes of walking. The only downside was that there was no carpark on site but as we checked in the member of staff told us the best and cheapest place to park for the 2 days. We would definitely return and recommend
- clivehughes3 (10/5): Best Premier inn !!!! - What a fab Premier inn and in a
great location
Staff very helpful and friendly especially on the front desk
Big shout out to Sandra and especially to Ian They are a credit to Premier inn!!
- 484jasonc (10/5): Llantrisant Premier Inn - What a great little hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, bed was really comfortable, room and bathroom was clean and fresh, ideal location just outside of Cardiff, lovely couple of villages (Talbot Green and Pontyclun) with some really good coffee shops and eateries, breakfast was good too plenty of selection, some great walks in the area including old llantrisant
- billg3715 (8/5): Good stay - Stayed for two nights. Self check in although assistance was at hand. Room was fine, excellent mattress, duvet and pillows. Room was very clean, two bottles of water in the mini fridge! Bathroom was clean, excellent shower and washing accessories. WiFi was abysmal, couldn’t download items. Breakfast service was excellent, food itself couldn’t be faulted. Very handy for M8. All in all good value.
- heidiLwilson (8/5): Value for Money Stay in Llandudno - Positives: Great location, easily walkable into town and the beachfront. Excellent value for money. Comfortable bed. Very clean.
Negatives: Parking is a mission with luggage. Room didn't have exterior window. Had one looking into this weird indoor courtyard between all the rooms. No natural light. Gave me a feeling of claustrophobia.
- ColdFFeet (8/5): Not what we expected!!!!!!! - We booked and paid for a Premier Plus Double room, two months prior to the trip, but on arrival we were put into a 'Standard Double' room after being told that there were no Premier Plus Double rooms available! Their 'guest relations' department offered no real apology saying that it was a 'mix-up' and offered us just £20 to 'keep quiet'. We stay in a lot of Premier Inns around the country, so Come on Premier Inn, your better than that?
- Sin Hang (8/5): - Room is tidy and neat. It is great having free parking. Nice and smooth check in process.
- LuBaldauf (10/5): Good experience overall - Great location, close to the motorway, so it was ideal for exploring Scotland. The staff was polite and helpful, and breakfast was excellent!
- 769nathanm (10/5): Great hotel with great staff. - New style room. Absolutely spotless. Would definitely stay at this one again. Team Member checking me in was friendly, interested in my journey and onward travel.
- K2002CCdebbieg (10/5): Great Experience! - We booked a room at 11pm (after we abandoned a cottage we had booked but were not impressed with), arrived 20 mins later, family room was ready and staff offered to store our bottle of milk in their staff fridge for us! Room was spotless. It was a welcome retreat after a stressful evening. Breakfast at the Beefeater was lovely too! Thanks Premier Inn!
- lindasM6131PK (10/5): Beautiful place and great hotel - Everything was perfect for my stay and couldn't of gone any better at premier inn is wonderful including the price and the bed is amazing staff are welcoming and friendly and helpful rooms are immaculately clean h
- Y7438AAheatherm (10/5): family - absolutely brilliant hotel clean friendly and we will only use this hotel when wr come to scotland. highly recommend this hotel to friends and family
- PaulRoath (10/5): Great, comfortable and clean in good location. - Always use this Premier Inn when staying near Bathgate. Love the premier plus rooms for extra comfort. Place is always clean, quiet and a Toby Carvery next door. Staff always pleasant and so helpful.
- T4729DYleeh (8/5): Pretty good - Seemed like the best hotel in tha area. Staff were great. breakfast very busy when we were there but ok. Not cleaning the rooms as standard nightly which I think is a bit rich when they aren't exactly budget anymore. Parking good and a Toby Carvery next door. My only complaint is the lack of air con. Never thought that would be a concern in Scotland but the room was 29 degrees when we were there in late September.
- leesW5042AZ (10/5): Fandabidozy - Very nice hotel staff are great especially mando @ the bar took time to be friendly and pleasant to be fair this experience of premier was a game changer
- R902SKaaronb (2/5): Dirty and needs some maintenance work - Bed was dirty, the shower was covered in other people's hairs.
Just not been properly cleaned very poor condition shower head was leaking so the shower wasn't powerful.
Needs some attention
- bogdanpopey (4/5): 4 star SCAM - We wanted a nice Premier Inn experience. We used motorway-king of Premier Inns before all over UK but this one even with the refurbished rooms seemed of a cheaper quality. We are now finding out that gone are the days when Premier Inn was a desired hotel chain throughout UK and Europe. Standards are gone and definitely 4 stars are not deserved. Cleanliness is something they need to really work out. For a 3 star hotel we can expect some amenities of a certain quality but not for a desired 4 star.
- Globaltravel2323 (10/5): Great night sleep - Staying here at the moment, spacious rooms, lovely staff, nice layout. Close to airport, comfy beds, great good nearby
Highly recommended
- O3524HHannemariem (10/5): Best Hotel in Bathgate - We arrived at the hotel on Thursday 28th August we had already checked in online but when we got there the staff was amazing and so friendly they couldn’t do enough for you to help make your stay as comfortable as possible the rooms are perfect clean and full of the essentials that you need from extra pillows to having a nice cuppa in the morning the morning breakfast is the best around again the staff couldn’t do enough for you.
We never stay anywhere else when we travel to Scotland.
- RobTA61 (10/5): Great hotel definitely recommend - A really good premier inn, lovely staff, easy to get to from Cardiff, this is our go to Premier Inn when we go to Cardiff, no charge for parking, very helpful with accessible needs, breakfast at the beefeater is really good
- ethanmW8865ZS (8/5): In April 2025 I went to the Premier inn. The staff were lovely and kind but there is no attractions like there is no pool or no - It is a great place to visit if you are going to the royal mint but other than that there is not much to do. You can take walks on the mountains but it is a bit boring. However the staff are lovely
- stevehP865PD (8/5): Just what I wanted - Helpful reception staff, comfy bed, a hot shower and a substantial breakfast. Plenty of car parking is available and access to the hotel is just off the main road
- 454jackid (8/5): Overall very good - Excellent Premier inn. Room clean and fresh and the new endorsed mattresses are fabulous, very comfortable. Staff welcoming and friendly. Rooms were of ambient tempersture spotless bathroom and great shower.Coffee and tea replenishment freely available in reception. Parking 1st night great. Second night not so as arrived late back after a concert in Edinburgh and ended up parking on a grass verge away from hotel. Not great. Didn't eat there. Train station is a good 30 min walk away. Vending machines for snacks in reception area. Overall a good comfortable experience.
- snitak2025 (10/5): Lovely stay! - We had a really lovely stay at the Premier Inn Livingston (Bathgate). From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive, which made such a difference to our visit.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, just what you’d expect from a Premier Inn, but it was the staff that really stood out and made the experience special. The check-in was smooth, the team was always happy to help with any questions, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
It was a great base for exploring the area, with good transport links nearby, and after a busy day out it was lovely to come back to such a relaxed and comfortable place. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Overall, we had a very positive stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A big thank you to the team for making our trip so enjoyable!
- AST183 (2/5): What happened to Premier Inn? - Check in is now automated so don't get there 15 minutes early because there's nobody to speak to
The room wasn't cleaned mid stay - this is the only hotel chain I know that does this
The sink plug was jammed in the sink, so the sink was out of action and there is nobody to speak to
The fan in the bathroom does not work
There is no iron in the room
The much vaunted comfortable bed gave me a bad back
Really under par for an expensive stay
- victoriapR4480OW (10/5): Great comfortable stay - Great comfortable stay, nice clean rooms, lovely food, friendly staff and best of all air con in the rooms. Would highly recommend.
- Z2987FFsylviaj (8/5): Helpful staff - Everything good except no towels nor toilet paper. Once notified staff provided the items. Restaurant staff were friendly and provided good service
- I608ITwendyb (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - will definitely return - Thoroughly enjoyable x2 day stay at Llantrisant, room was as always, very clean, reception staff were very friendly (and smiley) along with great staff at the adjoining Beefeater Restaurant where the food was also very good. Well done to all concerned. Would recommend anyone to stay and eat here.
- L1838YPstuartf (10/5): Lovely hotel with lovely staff - Fantastic hotel, we stay here a lot when travelling up. The staff are so friendly and helpful, just like to mention the chef she is super friendly and welcoming just what you need in the morning!
- jackwK7299GE (10/5): Great experience - The service at the hotel was great and the room was very clean and tidy staff were great and so was the breakfast and I slept well
- L2337DVvinceb (10/5): Bathgate review - We arrived after 9pm after a tiring journey. Whilst checking in, the very friendly staff overheard us discussing where we could eat the pizza we just bought, and invited us to sit in the breakfast area. We reminded the staff that only one couple had managed to reserve a lye check out, so that looked at tomorrows booking and extended that offer to the other couple too which was a real bonus when we were. Trying to get ready for a large family celebration. The breakfast the following morning was first class, and that’s from me who had vowed never to eat at Premier Inn again. Well done to everyone who made our stay so nice.
- harryworcester (10/5): Excellent experience. - Friendly, courteous, helpful staff. Room good size and well appointed. Lots of electric points in good places. Air con. Immaculate. Bed comfortable with nice bedding. White good sized fluffy towels. Top up teabags/coffee etc available in reception. Early check in well worth it and a pleasure not to check out until 12 md. Excellent value for money.
- kazh2023 (10/5): Excellent, staff go above and beyond. - Arrived late, extremely tired. Issues with a room the man on reception moved us to a more suited room, he was very helpful. Then the room we moved to the second bed wasn't made so needed making. Gemma went above and beyond for us she's a lovely lady and a credit to the premier inn. Thank you Gemma.
- natej371 (10/5): Beautiful Hotel & Brilliant Staff - The hotel is spotless, in a gorgeous location and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I was incredibly tired and stressed after a long journey but the staff made it very easy for me to check in and get to my room. The whole experience was brilliant and I couldnt recommend the staff and hotel as a whole enough.
- Nomad60186110909 (8/5): Great stay - Family room for one adult and two teens. Comfortable beds, pillows let it down slightly. Good WiFi connection. Air con good once got the hang of it.
Ate at the onsite Beefeater and very surprised by quality of food for dinner and breakfast. Good value for money. Would stay again.
- 817deneg (8/5): A good hotel, but not cheap. - The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, but Premier Inn is no longer the cheap option it once was. Having built the brand on being competitively priced, it's frustrating to watch their prices catching up with some of the higher end brands.
