Guest Reviews
- SheilaT57 (10/5): Would stay again - My room was good and clean. Extra pillows and hairdryer supplied. Lots of parking and close to town. Checking in and out very easy. Staff very helpful and friendly
- 194gillianj (10/5): Peaceful night after a party night out. - Good stay in late November. Hotel is positioned very near to the train station and easy walk to the shops. Although the room was cold when I arrived, it soon warmed up and became cosy. Pleased to see that kettle and coffee were available in the room (rather than new contraption coffee maker!). Would have preferred a shower to a bath - but that's my preference. Everything clean and tidy - and quiet despite the room being on the ground floor and adjacent to the car park.
- MissRP95 (6/5): Decent weekend stay, nice breakfast, but rooms were too hot or too cold - Check in was quick, the staff at reception was very nice.
It was a bit misleading about parking as the website says £7 for 24hrs, when its actually £10 for 24hours and you need to get a discount code from reception to bring the price down to £7.
When we entered the room it was cold, we turned the heating up but it didn't get warmer. We found out from other guests in our party that you need to ask reception to switch the heating on and if you want a/ c, then you have to ask reception for that to be turned on. The room then became too hot, everyone I was travelling with said their rooms were too hot they couldn't sleep either.
The rooms has a bathtub with a shower. I prefer a shower, not sure if any rooms have it. The water pressure was strange alternating between weak and strong every half a second but the water was hot.
We opted for the £26 meal deal for a two course dinner and breakfast. Dinner was slow as there was only 1 chef, but we were told the hotel was fully booked. Surely, knowing this the hotel should have brought more staff in. Breakfast was decent, there was a good amount of options and unlimited juices and hot drinks.
There's also a vending machine in the reception for snacks and drinks if needed.
- lynndC7743TG (2/5): Cold room, uncomfortable mattress - Whilst the food at breakfast and dinner were good, the mattress was not comfortable and the heating in the room did not appear to be working correctly (even though I followed the instructions given). I could not find anyone to help me with this
- danahO8213OK (10/5): Amazing stay at premmier inn jaques way - I went to Wrexham and stayed at premmier inn jaques way because I went to visit family and there was nothing too much trouble for the staff they were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I went for an evening meal on the 1st and second night and was made a delicious hot chocolate with whipped cream it went down a treat. The room was comfortable and I noticed a new few changes which was a nice surprise there was purple lights above the bed and a nice comfy chair in the corner where I could sit down and just watch TV or read a book. All my questions was answered professionally. When I asked if I could take extra breakfast home I was told I could and asked how much extra and was told it was all you could eat and wouldnt cost any extra. Great value for money will definatly coming back to stay again. High praises for all staff at premmier inn jaques way. Tje cleanliness of the room was spotless and it was nice and peaceful. All staff was accommodating.
- Sherpa38351804095 (6/5): Wrexham Premier Stay - The hotel looks a bit tired and could do with fresh paint. Reception not overly friendly on arrival. Disappointed to find we had to pay for the car park. Room was mostly clean but water left in kettle and no usb sockets. Only one side of the bed had plug socket. I use Premier a lot and this one is definitely below par.
- Dale (10/5): - Efficient, close to match pitch, reasonably priced
- Dale (10/5): - Great location!! Walkable to lots of areas!!
- nessief (10/5): Ideal location and friendly staff - Set in an ideal location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Quiet room, which was very clean. Two lifts which are fast to arrive. The evening meal we enjoyed was good value and very tasty. We didn't have breakfast.
- Brett (10/5): Wrexham soccer visitor from USA - I came to Wrexham to visit the area and to watch the Soccer team. This hotel is so close to the train station, The Turf, Stok Cae Ras. I would stay here again. The staff went out of there way to store my luggage after checking out so I could enjoy the soccer match without any luggage. Thank you.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Walkable to the Race Course and city center. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Train station just across the road.
- 64debiy (10/5): Great hotel - Hotel was in a good location about 15 minute walk to town and the retail park which was the opposite direction. Rooms were clean.A good choice of food for breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming especially Sarah. Overall a nice atmosphere in the hotel .
- robertneate71 (10/5): Football - Convenient location for what we wanted to do. Clean hotel and very friendly/helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again
- Emmanuel (8/5): Établissement correct, restauration possible - Trop chaud dans la chambre.
Impossible de régler la température en mode Clim.
- johnsV7278PU (10/5): Best premier inn Wrexham - Well I stayed in many premier inn hotels . All have been good ,
Wrexham premier inn has the best hotel manager I have met . Massive thank you to Lynne G . 5 star manager 👏👏👏👏
Warm smile welcome , Helpful , well organised staff . Staff also helpful and polite. This hotel is well oiled from the manager down the staff list . As always. Comfortable beds pillows . Food was nice on the evening and breakfast was cooked nice not over cooked like some hotels . Hats off to the chef’s waitress staff cleaners etc .
Special thank you to Lynne G . Employee of the month award for that lady .
Premier inn succeeded to impress again .
- Alexis (10/5): - Directly across from the train station and the Racecourse. You couldn’t get a better location! Staff was wonderful and accommodating! Would recommend all to stay here!
- BigJohn1946 (10/5): Fabulous Experience - We always stay at Premier Inns whenever we travel as they are ALL sooooo good. This one at Wrexham was no exception. We had an ‘assisted room’ as I am recovering from a hip surgery. It was fantastic. Also, the food was exceptional. I had the sirloin steak and it was super tender and cooked to perfection. All the staff were so helpful AND, most importantly, FRIENDLY! We would recommend this to anyone travelling in this area. Thank you all at Premiere Inn Wrexham City Centre.
Brukbar frokost.
- Kevin (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful
- AberJess (10/5): Best Premier Inn experience so far - This was the best Premier Inn we’ve stayed in so far (out of many over the years). The staff were the friendliest, most helpful and most accommodating we’ve ever been served by, especially Leah, and a young man on our last evening. They seemed to take a genuine interest in our experience of the National Eisteddfod each day, and they spoke Welsh with us! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-supplied. The food in the restaurant was hot and delicious, both for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is ideally placed a couple of minutes’ walk from the train station, from where the shuttle buses left for the Maes each day, couldn’t have been more convenient.
Just be aware that Room 3 has a communicating door with Room 1, so any conversation from there is easily heard, especially one loud one on the phone which woke us up too early at 6.35am and went on for about an hour!
- awilly09 (10/5): Good service and friendly staff. - Premier Inn Wrexham football ground is a welcoming place to stay and value for money. The rooms are as described on their website and are very functional. I always have the perfect sleep night there and feel refreshed in the morning. The restaurant food menus is good value for money with vegetarian options. Car parking is charged for on arrival so it is an additional cost to budget for.
- JPIF (2/5): Dreadful experience - maxed out hotel and dead aircon - When the Eisteddfod came to town... The prices at this fairly basic Premier Inn shot up and the value for money cratered. The hotel was full and nothing seemed to have been done to increase the staffing, with the person on reception also doing all the front of house in the restaurant in the evening - at the same time. Worst of all, the air conditioning failed on the second floor and they were unable to get it fixed - I was paying something like £160 a night for a hot airless box (windows won't open). After three nights of "it'll be fixed tomorrow" I gave up, stayed one more night (which was terrible) and then cut my losses and headed elsewhere. I like premier inn so will give the brand another chance, but never this hotel again. Staff did what they could but they seemed to have so little discretion or control to make a difference.
- jon (10/5): - Comfortable and location to train
- elainebN4215HO (10/5): Amazing staff - 5* for the staff alone, they are brilliant, so friendly and accommodating. We were there for work, 3 working weeks on nights, they opened the restaurant early so we could eat before our night shift. Nothing was to much trouble
- googlem288 (10/5): - The staff are exceptional especially Sarah and Leah, they have helped us at a very stressful time. We would certainly come here again.
- Charliebubbles98 (6/5): Lacks cleanliness - We stayed here the night before a hospital visit, the hospital is only a couple minutes drive from the hotel, which is ideal.
However, the hotel lacks cleanliness. There were marks all over the walls, wipeable marks. There was dried snot on the bed sheet, and hair on the bathroom wall.
The price of parking is atrocious, there shouldn’t be a charge for paying guests.
Breakfast was lovely, staff pleasant.
- Slimmingworldmom (8/5): Great location for footy and train - We were visiting friends in the area and also wanted to visit Wrexham Footy ground.
Typical premier inn
Plenty of parking but beware you will pay to park.
Lovely clean rooms
Highly recommend here
Right opposite the train station and close to town
- P7408UWmaryc (10/5): Great experience! Warm staff, comfy beds, clean bathrooms - Comfy beds, beautiful views out the window, great showers, clean bathrooms. Staff was extremely helpful with our group of 43 and offered some great accommodations when needed. Walking distance to downtown Wrexham and restaurants surrounding. Highly recommend!
- clairemY1626WO (10/5): 20 out of 10 for Team Wrexham! - Sarah and the team were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and our stay went seamlessly, even though we had some guests checking out halfway through the stay and others taking their rooms. It wasn't a straightforward booking, and the team handled it perfectly.
The rooms were immaculate and the food was delicious. There honestly wasn't a thing we'd change.
One of the team specifically wanted to share their thoughts - "I thought all the staff were absolutely fantastic, really attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The way they handled the huge influx of guests over the weekend was amazing. Everybody was fab the reception staff, the housekeeping and the chef …..brilliant"
Massive thanks again to Sarah and the Team..... See you the next time we come to Wrexham!!
