• P1705JUlindseyr (8/5): Great location but book in advance if you want to eat there - Excellent location and friendly staff. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that the hotel doesn't have a lift, which meant lugging cases up the stairs. The room was clean and pleasant, with a nice fresh bathroom, though. We were unable to get a table in the restaurant next door, as we weren't aware we would need to book in advance. Luckily, there is a retail park with restaurants not too far away. But it was raining and cold, so not ideal, particularly with a small child.

• dtolly (8/5): Good Hotel - Great Staff! - The hotel is lovely and clean, the food choice limited but cooked well. My steak was cooked to perfection! But I really want to talk about the staff! Sofia was so lovely - polite and attentive and friendly. Alison! Whatever ever they are paying Alison is not enough! She was on the breakfast service and was sooo lovely - friendly and sunny and interested in people. Other members of staff were great too, but I didn't get their names 😒 my bad! I hope my comments find their way to the staff mentioned!
• Annesb (8/5): An extremely pleasant stay with an easy walk into town centre. - Have stayed at Premier Inn many times and my husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay here. Our room was very clean with an opening window and controllable heating. Breakfast was served in the Beefeater next door and was extremely well cooked and tasty. I am coeliac and the staff were very well trained and very helpful providing toast. Our walk into Tamworth over the bridge was enjoyable and took about 10 minutes with wonderful views of the castle and rivers.

Stayed in a premier room with fridge and coffee machine, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was buffet in the beefeater which was hot and plentiful. Would definitely choose to stay here again if in the area.

• C7624JQsonias (2/5): Look around for a better hotel - Water pressure very very low in both had basin and shower . Also on our last day we was unable to shower due to being no hot water in the room and no one available to complain to at reception. It's quite a noisy hotel being near a main road also on the other side people checking in later or returning from pub. Bathroom a few hairs around wash basin yuk on check in. The Beefeater at the side of the premier was not brilliant neither with half the food on offer on the menu not being available Friday through to Sunday 5pm on Sunday and no Sunday roast beef or Turkey even on the desert menu. So not really worth buying the meal deal. Breakfast bread and pastries stale, cold plates, cold and burnt food. The toilets well think they would get closed down if the environment authority's went in, they are totally disgusting. It's a shame as they have fantastic helpful staff at the Beefeater and at the hotel.

• danielaQ5273EU (2/5): Racist staff member - Stayed here as we were taking the children to Drayton Manor the following day. My complaint is regarding one staff member, who was outwardly racist towards me and my family. Dark haired man on the desk in the evening we checked in. Said our family name and he laughed and said you’ll have to spell that. My husband spelled the name and the man on the desk laughed again. I asked what time breakfast was between and he kept pretending he didn’t understand me and my husband and kept smirking. He even said ‘can you say that in English’. I asked to speak to someone else, but he said it was just him on shift as we were checking in so late (8:30pm). The man has a serious mental health problem in my opinion, as well as being racist.
• Happiness08153816998 (10/5): Amazing service, tidy rooms with no issues. - Amazing service from both Sophie and Chris during my stay always happy to help and serve, even after multiple days they were already remembering my (lack of) allergy preferences, room number and preferred drink Super polite even when things went wrong, and worked quickly to resolve the problems.

I have stayed in the premier inn in the past and always thought it is a lovely place to stay very friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to coming in the future.

• Pioneer62730505152 (8/5): Lovely hotel, great location, shame about the receptionists phone manner - We had a good experience at Premier Inn Swindon, The staff were friendly and polite and situated very well. The carpark was full when we got there, but they gave us an alternative which was close by and also cheaper! The only down side was that we called the hotel and the gentleman who answered the phone was not the most pleasant. They spoke down to us and we're quite condescending and not very understanding. As a person with Autism who struggles sometimes in social situations, please improve your phone manner as I left the phone call feeling more anxious than I started.

Staff were unhelpful and more interested in chatting than answering a query. Can't comment on food as nothing served after 10pm and we chose to leave breakfast and go elsewhere
• 652sharony (10/5): amazing stay. - location was great for us as we had a spa day as a gift literally 2 minutes from yhe premier inn. The receptionist was very cheery x chatty and helpful. Room was very clean spacious had everything we needed and bed was amazing. The meal package was amazing value and food was absolutely delicious, staff at the beefeater were also all very friendly and helpful.

Very impressed with the room, very clean and modern with a comfortable bed. We didn't have breakfast but I believe that is located in the beefeater.
• leesay2021 (2/5): Avoid - The hotel itself wasn't too bad. It was clean and comfy. The restaurant, however was absolutely dredful. It was dirty, and the food was disgusting. I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be good, so I thought I'd be safe with a chicken burger. The chicken was over deep fried, and then micro waved to be re heated.I only leave bad reveiews, to help someone else not make the same mistake as myself.
• carlspence (4/5): Avoid the restaurant - Short-staffed — the restaurant opened late because only one member of staff turned up. I was overcharged for two beers during Happy Hour (5–7 pm) but received a refund after going back to the bar. The toilets were disgusting, with no toilet paper, and the same issue was still there the next morning at breakfast — clearly no cleaning had been done. Would not recommend this place at all!

• 154dianef (4/5): Tamworth south premier inn - Lots of issues with disabled room which were unsolved. Restaurant very slow. Generally low numbers of staff seving in restaurant, even had chef take our breakfast order.
• Simandcat (2/5): Tired hotel, cold shower and room. Evening menu looked poor - Do not stay here. Room was freezing cold, shower was freezing cold, WiFi was terrible, had to pay for upgrade just get any signal (feels dekiberate). Looks very tired from the outside. Room was OK, but air con/heating didn't work - even turned it up to 26 degrees and was still sat in a jacket. Very poor....Premier inn have really fallen from grace. Out of the last 7 Premier Inns I've stayed in, only 1 had no problems whilst I was there
• callybird (8/5): Value for money, cosy and friendly - Stayed for one night. Great price. Room was nicely decorated and cosy. Nice mood lighting and room temperature switch was easy to control. Shower was great main shower head plus moveable shower hose . It was also a walk in shower which was easier than trying to step over the bath as in other PI's. Locating the parking adjacent to hotel was a bit of a mare as the post code was different to hotel postcode and we kept going around in circles lol! Post code for Premier Inn car park SN1 1SG first come first serve basis. Pay on exit get QR code from receptions when leaving. Alternative car Park SN1 1TN Whalebridge Multi storey Pay on foot, Staff really friendly, special mention for Maxi who was doing everything and doing it efficiently! Also, to Alison in breakfast area who couldn't do enough for us. Food was well cooked and nicely presented. Would have given 5 stars but some mould on shower seals and dining area too small to accommodate size of hotel. Also have larger round tables so families can dine together. Maximum tables seated four. Maybe they should expand dining area and reduce bar size. Just saying. Thanks for a nice stay.
• Jephson (10/5): Wow! Why can’t all hotels be like this! - Arrived at 1am I the morning, thank goodness for manned reception 24hrs. Hotel car park was ‘rammed.’ Receptionist was concerned about be walking back from a public car park and so found me a space. Then discovered that there wasn’t a ‘traditional’ shaving socket in the bathroom and so she found me a two pin plug for a 13amp socket. I had booked a ‘Plus’ room which would put some ‘luxury’ hotels to shame. Comfortable bed, luxury shower room, water in the fridge, Nespresso machine, chocolate….what more could you want! Went down for breakfast, interested motivated staff, good variety of food on offer, hot and cold, relaxing un-rushed atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend. Central location if you want to explore Swindon.

Poor review due to Premier Inn poor communication around the issues and not giving the staff enough help to manage the situation
• royn68 (8/5): Short stay - Since my last visit it would appear that the rooms have been upgraded. Our room was spotless and the staff very pleasant. No air con in the rooms but a fan was provided. Free parking is still provided but you must enter you car reg at the reception.
• nellybag (10/5): Great customer service. - Staff were all so super friendly and helpful, room was really spacious and immaculate. Quiet location and a really good nights sleep. Special mention to Sophie for the great customer service at breakfast, she really set me up in a great mood for the day. Simon the chef went the extra mile to make sure my breakfast was satisfactory by coming out to check. Customer service how it should be. Thanks guys!

Only positive was the comfy bed, convenient location and Robyn who was the member of staff that served us at breakfast time. She was lovely and was clearly doing the job of multiple people.

• K2122AZshaunw (2/5): Poor Food at restaurant part of hotel (not a separate chain attached) - Hotel itself I have no complaints with its a typical premise inn you get what you pay for however the review itself is for the abysmal pub they run off of it. The food came out and looked and tasted like a ready meal had just been transferred to a bowl and garnished, you could tell it had been microwaved as it had the typical microwave burn marks on the pasta and sauce. Portion sizes are really small considering the price food is aweful would not recommend to anyone. On the other hand the staff in front of house are really friendly and a credit to the company Thankyou.

Checked in at 3:30am and the receptionist was very, efficient, friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern, as you would expect from Premier Inn. The comfy beds were welcome after a five hour night flight.

• gjbritten (8/5): Visiting for breakfast. - I took my mother for breakfast at Premier Inn and as always in the morning we are greeted by Mel as we arrive. She always has a smile on her face and as usual very welcoming. This makes it a pleasurable experience when coming in for breakfast. During our breakfast, this Friday and last Friday we have discovered what a valuable member of the team Abbie is, she is a delight to talk to and nothing is too much trouble for her, she goes above and beyond to try and make our experience better. Even though the breakfast was not great these two members of staff went out of their way to provide an excellent service.
• planegirl100 (8/5): Nice room, easy to go places from here! - Stayed for 5 nights during the heatwave in mid August (24-27 degrees) Room was nicely appointed, decor and furniture looked new and it was clean. Shower was great and the bed very comfortable. Beefeater next door and parking right outside - easy to enter reg details for free parking at main reception. Short walk into Tamworth across the bridge and within walking distance to the huge Ventura retail park. Unfortunately the room was right on the dual carriageway/roundabout so noisy all night. Being so hot and needing to have the window open staying asleep and not being woken by fast/noisy cars and bikes was an issue. Fan in the room was useful but with a south facing room just circulated hot air. Reception staff were amazing, very helpful, someone was always available and super friendly but professional. I forgot to ask for my room to be cleaned one day however this wasnt an issue due to reception staff being so helpful in getting fresh towels and emptying bins etc. Would stay again but not when its hot as there's no air con here

They helped find the person who did it, and reported it to the police. I had them back in less than 24 hours. Cannot thank the team here enough!
• michaela19862 (10/5): Lovely updated rooms - Previously stayed here numerous times and the last time I left a negative review, so time to update. This year we stayed, staff very lovely on arrival, helpful, chatty and friendly. I believe some of the rooms have had an update, we stayed in room 24 and it was lovely, it was very cosy, fresh and looked clean. It really did need an update in the rooms so I'm super happy they've done this as its our go to hotel for coming to visit family. New shower, new carpet, new furniture. Very central hotel between a retail park and the castle grounds and town centre, easy to walk to and very convenient.
• U8883DJshaner (6/5): Comfortable rooms but not great customer service - Arrived fairly late in the evening. Nighttime revealers blocking the entrance to the hotel. On check in, no smiles or good evening from the staff. Felt like we were an inconvenience. Got to the room and the kids were so excited to show that the hotel had placed a pack of Jammy Dodgers on each of their beds (nice touch) Great night sleep. Beds were sooooo comfortable. When it got to checkout, had to tell the staff member behind the desk about the broken toilet seat. All she said was “OK, I will let housekeeping know” and she walked off. Customer Service needs to be looked at in my opinion.
• Wiltshirelucy (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - After a disappointing visit to the premier inn earlier in the year, we returned today and wow what an improvement. We arrived to check in, which was done in a prompt and friendly. We were given a beautiful big family room overlooking the top of the high street. Complimentary Jammy dodgers for the kids was a lovely touch. Our room (106) was spotlessly clean, brightly and airy. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and all staff we encountered were so friendly and accommodating.
• peterwG2535OU (2/5): Prisoner to the hotel - 3 adults must take 2 rooms. Company policy. Online booking was for 45 pound a night ended up being two rooms as 60 quid each. Hundreds of rooms but about 20 parking spots and you pay 16 pound every time your wheels enter! That's not for 24 hours. We learnt the hard way. (do a deal with the local council!!!) Basically, this hotel is a pimple on a duck arse of a shopping strip. Nearby council parking is 50 quid for 24 hours. Anyone with a car DO NOT STAY HERE. BTW dodgy deals going down in the nearby carpark which you cannot park in! Families AVOID. NO PHONE in the room to reception so its a 5 min walk. NO fridge in the room! Mortgage the house to eat miserable food. Really Premier Inn have lost their way here ...
• 207mikeg (4/5): Would not recommend. Room too hot, bed hard and lumpy, No lift. - No lift, The room was far too hot, 27.5c at night and no air conditioning, the bed was hard and lumpy and the shower kept going cold. Staff were friendly.
• benj790 (4/5): Not a good experience - Well what can I say... this new concept premier inn has its problems. No electric 3 times in one day, at busy times, 7/8 am and 6pm. Also no water (apparently pumped by electric) Horrible experience. In town centre, scary evenings and mornings. Police there, drunks/druggies fighting. I always stay Premier Inn, am a very big fan, but not this one I'm sorry to say.
• N5Traveller (6/5): Mixed experience - This is a relatively new hotel in Swindon near the Wyvern. It has been well designed and rooms are quiet for the area. As advertised beds are comfortable and rooms good with a decent bathroom. Maybe teething problems but staff seem poorly managed and it is clearly a big ask to cover reception and the bar. It is now normal not to have daily room cleaning due to environmental ( and cost!) reasons unless requested. However cups should be replaced daily & when I requested this I was asked whether I wanted to take them from the restaurant! The big issue is the woeful parking arrangements. For a hotel that size there is minimal onside parking which is £16.50 for 24 hours. There is a cheaper public multi storey 6 minutes away which is fine on a sunny day with overnight luggage . More luggage on a wet day would be unpleasant. So overall mixed and fixable if you arrive by train !

We could not find the parking for premier in took us 1half hours to get there in the dark( was light ) when went to find it, not easy at all had to ask a taxi who kindly took us there. No way would we have found it. My dad was with me at 94 and he was scared off our surroundings. The premier inn it self was nice and clean, but the young person on desk wasn’t very helpful. Tried ringing them but they did not answer. I had to go through a no entry to get to the car park, with no spaces. Not good enough when you have an invalid with you. And £16.00 pound a night. Won’t go here again never
