Guest Reviews
- 841ruthe (10/5): What’s not to like? - Comfortable, clean, friendly, great location. Ideal for Chester and nearby Carson Hall Spa. Food great, will definitely be back.
- 107jaquied (2/5): Terrible customer service…. - I booked a breakfast for me and my brother after finishing our breakfast on the Sunday morning. When we arrived on the Monday morning at 8am, The lady said I hadn't booked and she couldn't fit us in, even for just a continental breakfast, as she had 200 booked in... yes you read that correctly, 200! She also said there were just two of them on duty and there were no tables for us.... Although there seemed to be plenty of room. How 2 people having a completely do it yourself breakfast in an almost empty restaurant couldn't be accommodated is unbelievable...especially as I DID book! I won't be returning to your hotel as a result.
- Excelsior2k5 (2/5): Worst premier inn ever visited - Cold breakfast after waiting 40 minutes to get it, cold beans, cold scrambled eggs, brick hard bacon, not a buffet breakfast and staff slow as a week in the jail. If was buffet wouldn’t have picked half the stuff as looked really bad. The room door moved every time the corridor door opened and sounded like someone was trying to get in the room even though they weren’t.
- swhamer (10/5): Good place to stay - Plenty of car parking despite sharing with The Beeches restaurant. Pleasant and efficient booking in. Rooms clean and well serviced.
- David (10/5): - We only stayed overnight
- lisalisab321 (8/5): Need to improve Breakfast service - Great Hotel - restaurant let it down
Breakfast was an unorganised mess. No hot buffet had to wait for waiter to take order. Even after chasing and waiting 50 minutes we left having only just cereal and toast. Only 2 members of staff on during a busy Sunday morning at a large venue. We really got the impression we were being ignored on purpose
- 715rutp (10/5): Good nights stay - Friendly check-in, comfy clean room and great breakfast. Great one night stop over after a long day, Only complaint is, as a family of five we have to book 2 separate rooms and unfortunately they weren't next to each other. But good communication via email answered my questions quickly. Thanks
- Carlos (10/5): - Todo perfecto. Camas cómodas, personal de una amabilidad extraordinaria y con aparcamiento gratuito
- alunsaunders (6/5): Too expensive for a very basic experience. - I was glad to have managed to reserve a room and the standard, cleanliness etc of the room was perfectly acceptable. The room was, however, horribly overpriced for the location and facilities. The room was horribly hot and instead of a functioning air conditioning unit was a rather pathetic fan which didn't help at all.
At breakfast, a small number of staff were working tirelessly to provide for a large number of guests across a large space. It wasn't enough and as a result the wait for breakfast made me very late for a meeting.
The saving on staff costs means a poor guest experience and I'd encourage Premier Inn (and it's parent brand) to invest more in staff for a far better guest experience.
- 311jillj (10/5): More of a good thing! - All you’d expect. Fabulous beds, comfortable rooms with a BATH! Large carpark. Free parking. Amazing staff. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return!
- Camper12875294382 (6/5): Disabled users - Staff were friendly. Disabled bathroom was fully equipped and one of the best we’ve seen although bed was very low to the ground making it hard for mum to get back into her wheelchair. Hallway very narrow leading to the room with 4 heavy fire doors to contend with. These should have electric openings as she couldn’t get through them without our help.
- Retiredandlovinit68 (10/5): Love this hotel - lovely people! - We have stayed here 3 times now and always been very very impressed by helpfulness of everyone, especially reception staff - one young man on reception even gave us chocolate!! We love Premier Inns generally anyway but the personal touches and interactions at this hotel made it special. Highly recommend!!
- 262riverb (10/5): Nice hotel - I stayed here whilst visiting family , had a quiet nice room near back. Clean and comfy , ladies at the front desk were kind and helpfull at check in and check out. Wonderfull stay ❤️
- alisonbA412KH (10/5): Lovely staff - Great comfy bed, nice location, staff were really friendly
Didn't try the restaurant but seemed nice may have to pop in next time.
- mariemL4465MR (10/5): Fantastic service! - Wonderful stay at this very secluded premier inn, fantastic location. Staff are absolutely amazing, will definitely be using this premier inn again! The beeches pub was great for both evening meal and breakfast, the meal deal advised by the hotel reception was a fantastic deal at only 26.99!
- nomorebutlins (2/5): Price difference - Paid £180 for a double room not including breakfast. My son paid £135 for a family room with breakfast included. Both of us booked direct with the hotel but at different times. I booked months in advance. My son the week before. If getting a taxi do not use Apollo taxis. £15 into town. Use Yellow Cars only £8 for the same journey.
- amandakQ9460NE (10/5): Extra mile - I stayed here while visiting a relative in hospital. While the staff were always polite and helpful, they went the extra mile with kindness and consideration. The room was clean and tidy, the food choice was good, including healthy options. A big thank you to them.
- Taff146 (10/5): A lovely quiet stay - Thoroughly recommend staying at this premier inn at Wrexham North. Staff are friendly, location of the hotel is lovely and quiet, rooms were clean. Dewi at reception met us with a cheerful welcome and was very helpful.
I would definitely recommend eating at the Beeches, food was lovely.
We will be back.
- Seaside44792376717 (6/5): Good night guarantee FAIL - We stayed in a standard room facing the adjoining pub restaurant on the first floor.
Good availability of parking. Hotel room very clean and well maintained.
Unfortunately our stay was ruined by an awful nights sleep for two reasons.
The first was caused by two guests who decided it was a good idea to stand outside the hotel in front of a large number of rooms to have a smoke and a very loud chat at 11pm, again at midnight and again after 1am. We had to close our window, but they were so loud we could still hear them through the glass. My husband had to get out of bed and go down to reception to complain/make them aware of the disturbance.
Premier Inn's usual rough itchy, scratchy bedding and the thick Winter duvet didn't help. The only hotel brand I've stayed in which has awful cheap bedding, not usual hotel quality.
Premier Inn Good Night Guarantee-epic fail
- G6068IUmartinf (10/5): Premier in all aspects. - Although basic, the room was really clean. The bed was super comfortable. Nice warm shower and plenty of towels. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order with every food option you could want. Excellent location straight off the A483 for easy arriving and departing.
Highly recommended.
- TomSelby1993 (8/5): Excellent value - Paid £50 for a room in this hotel - excellent value considering the size of the room, big double bed, nice TV on the wall, and nice bathroom and hanging up areas. Hotel itself very basic as you’d expect for the price but very happy with the value and will be back when I’m next in the area.
