- marinerEngland (10/5): Good family get together - Was very friendly staff room was good and food was good so was the prices. Only problem we found we should of got discount on our evening meal after we had paid there was 5 meals bought but wasn't given the discount
- 365tashs (10/5): Excellent Hotel, Restaurant and Staff - The hotel and all the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly with no request being too much.
I stayed here for 3 weeks on business and didn't want to try another hotel due the location, fabulous onsite restaurant and the amazing staff.
Highly recommended.
- natashalO6357JT (10/5): Best customer service - I was in contact with michelle an i was amazed with her outstanding customer service she was so polite friendly an so helpful and dealt with my issue straight away with no hesitation. I think she is a credit to your premium inn team an it will make me want to return to blake lake premium inn in the future. Thank you again michelle wish you all the best.
- 776katelynv (10/5): Excellent - Great service,very polite workers, definitely worth staying . Free Wi-Fi, breakfast , very helpful staff, 10/10 experience ❤️k x
- mark2025728 (2/5): Very unprofessional - Poor food quality. Staff use the cafe and seating areas as a social gathering. I will not use the Premier Inn at west Bromwich again. Very disappointed in the whole two night stay. Complaint will be raised
- awilly09 (10/5): Recommended choice & customer service. - Well appointed rooms in a good location. Hotel staff all very helpful and friendly, remembering Yvonne on the reception from my previous visit. Used the restaurant for Mail meals and family catch up. A special mention to Drew and his team who were ALL amazing, brilliant customer service skills also the meals were good value, a little more vegetarian choice than some other Premier Inns I have stayed in. Overall a very good choice of hotel destination, with free parking, good food and beverage choices with excellent customer service.
- debbie40105 (10/5): Wonderful stay - Lovely clean hotel. Good size rooms. Very comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Large carpark. Amazing breakfast in the restaurant. Definitely stay there when up that way.
- davidrN331AA (8/5): Business trio - Very good over all
Bobby on reception was very helpful with all my inquiries about my room and Internet logging on questions
- 348ellec (10/5): Wonderful weekend away - Brilliant weekend stay at this hotel, myself and my partner enjoyed our weekend to visit the Black Country museum and had a wonderful stay at this premier in, staff were all lovely, informative and couldn’t do enough to help and make your stay enjoyable. Food across the way from the restaurant was amazing, well worth every penny! All the staff there were very helpful, chatty and friendly. Would definitely come back, hope to see you soon!
- meljez12 (4/5): Not good. - Friendly staff. Comfy bed. But no other good points. Bathroom dirty, walls and curtains dirty and marked, carpet looks well used and unclean. Hair in sink and bath.
- M4605EIchrisa (10/5): Lovely staff - Hayley was excellent, she was polite and helpful and made our stay brilliant. We were late arriving due to work commitments but Hayley was accommodating and assisted with booking breakfast for us
- 349asah (10/5): Great - Staff checking in was very polite morning staff Paige. Was very helpful. Would stay again was a great experience to enjoy a break. For the night
- H0lidayJ0 (2/5): Room okay, but filthy mattress protector. No excuse for such poor hygiene! - Room okay, wish I'd looked at the mattress before going to bed!!
Stripped the bed in the morning, to assist housekeeping staff , only to discover mattress cover was in a disgusting state. It had multiple yellow stains on it and must have been on the bed for weeks
Really unpleasant
- Tourist769823 (2/5): I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this hotel! The one in new square is 100 times better then this one - I checked the room and I didn’t like the room. I asked them to give me a different room the persons response was fill in a form and get your money back as we don’t have any other room for you. The lady rang me saying room is a room we can’t do anything. All the rooms are the same she said so she can’t do nothing.
- 220fatboy (2/5): Appalling - Absolutely appalling Must have been 30 seats available but they couldn’t accommodate 1person to eat
Don’t have 79 covers if you can not cover them Simple
When I pointed out there where at least 30 seat not filled I was informed they were set up for breakfast 😩😩
Staying in the hotel but but didn’t really care Service at the bar was so slow I could have walked home 120 miles and still been served quicker
I stay away for work all the time in Premier Inn but will never come back to this one
Hotel was fine staff really great
The pub was probably one of the worst I have ever been too
Sort you self out and respect the customers from the hotel
Absolutely appalled
Ended up with a takeaway
- courtneybN8119ML (10/5): Brilliant…. - Brilliant service, friendly and polite staff who assisted me when I needed support and was always there to help. Thankyou! The rooms and reception were very clean and the vending machines were so helpful when needing some snacks❤️ definitely be staying here again

- simonjV1997YK (6/5): Not your standard Premier Inn Buffet... - We arrived to the restaurant on the Friday evening and had our drinks order taken as we were seated. 20 minutes later I went to find a member of staff to ask where our drinks were and to ask for our food order to be taken. 5 minutes later I went to the bar myself to get our drinks.
It took another 20 minutes for our food to arrive so nearly an hour in total since sitting down. The food was fine one it arrived.
I had prepaid for the meal deal and was advised to book the Saturday evening table on Friday evening which I did before leaving on Friday night. I was initially told that there weren't any tables available to which I explained shouldn't be the case because I had prepaid for my meal, we were told we could be squeezed in at 8:45 which was the final booking slot. I was also told to try calling on Saturday afternoon to check if they'd had any cancellations. I did this as instructed on Saturday afternoon but was told there were no cancellations and that I had to arrive no earlier than my booking time of 8:45 because they were so busy.
We had booked our breakfast for 7:00 a.m. because we had to leave the hotel at 7:30. We thought this wouldn't be an issue because we are so used to an easy buffet breakfast at every Premier Inn hotel we have stayed at in the past. When we arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before 7:00 a.m. on the Saturday morning there was a large queue waiting to get in. Inside there was one member of staff who had to check people in, take them to their seats and take orders for hot food because there was no buffet. We were seated just after 7 and told our order would be taken as soon as possible. I asked three times for our order to be taken and each time was told they would be as quick as possible. At 7:30 we had to leave, we had still not been served so had no breakfast other than some toast and cereal from the cold self serve items available. We did not get the breakfast we had paid for.
On the Saturday evening, despite being told not to arrive before our booking slot of 8:45 p.m. we decided to head to the restaurant at 8:15 to see if there was any chance of us getting seated. As we arrived, there were at least four tables with nobody sat at them and we were seated immediately. I think we'd maybe been recognised from complaining the night before and in the morning because we were served very quickly both drinks and food, had this been our experience on the Friday night, we would have been more than happy.
Before we left on the Saturday evening we asked if we could place our order for breakfast for the following morning, which we were allowed to do.
On the Sunday morning there were lots more staff working so people were seated much more quickly and our cooked breakfast was waiting for us as we were seated. Our dining experience for the second half of our stay was excellent but didn't make up for the fact we ultimately didn't get served any breakfast on Saturday morning when we had already paid for it.
The room was fine, although not the largest family room we've stayed in. Pretty standard Premier Inn fayre.
The hotel was going through some improvements, so the hallways looked a bit like a building site, this can't be helped and didn't affect our stay. There is no lift we are able bodied and there is only one upper floor so this isn't the end of the world, (ground floor rooms available of you requested I assume for disabilities), however we did have a lot of stuff so a lift would have been a bonus' especially as we were at the far end of the corridor (again can't be helped!).
The lack of breakfast buffet (which wasn't clear when booking) would prevent us from staying at this hotel again.
