Guest Reviews
- holidayfever4 (10/5): Family gathering - Premier Inn hotels are always excellent value for money, rooms always very comfortable, amenities good, friendly staff, great service
- 900fahimz (2/5): Very rude staff - I went to book a room for my guest at 3:00 AM as I couldn’t book online. The staff member on duty first quoted me an exorbitant price. I agreed to pay as my guest desperately needed to sleep after a long journey. He proceeded to ask unnecessary questions, including demanding both of our IDs.
I explained that I was not the guest staying and that my guest would be the one paying. When I questioned why he needed my ID since I was not staying, he refused the booking, stating that I was being difficult. He was very rude throughout the entire interaction. I will never be booking with premier inn
- O8978EWrichardh (6/5): Hotel okay. Restaurant not. - The hotel itself is pretty good but I wouldn't recommend eating at the Beefeater across the way for evening meal. Expensive and poor quality.
Breakfast time felt chaotic.
- ChrisPococktravels (8/5): Usual reliable standard of rooms, great breakfast service! - The usual reliable standard, but no elevator would pose a problem for those with disabilities.
I should mention the young lady serving breakfast last weekend in the Beefeater opposite. Sorry, forgot her name, but a great start to the day, seeing such a cheerful and attractive person.
- jadehV9741SR (6/5): Family stay - Beds were comfy. Plenty of parking. Hotel very quiet. Food next door was great.
Bedroom was dirty and leftover stuff from previous people.
- HamzahAL1 (10/5): Christian is a legend - Christian legend we went into a room and the toilet was blocked. He quickly found us another room and also gave us free breakfast due to the inclusive.
- Tik_loves_food (10/5): Friendly staff and very helpful. Excellent place to stay - 5 star service by Jasmin. Highly recommend staying here, staff very friendly and helpful. If you ever need to stay this is the place.
- B3336TSrobc (8/5): Surprisingly quiet - A really nice quiet hotel. Unforgettable heating was either all or nothing. Carpark outside is private on Android and has had bad reviews. The local council carpark around the corner was cheaper. Staff incredibly helpful and polite.
- ziggyrosa241 (10/5): A great place to stay - I've not stayed at a Premier Inn before and was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by the lovely receptionist Raita who was exceptional, things went brilliantly. The room was spotless, my bed was big and comfy, it was quiet and peaceful, easy to park and all the staff were a delight. I went across the small road to the Beefeater for my dinner and breakfast using the 'meal deal' on offer and again, everything was excellent. Kind and caring staff and good pub grub that was well priced. I will be back for sure.
- rebeccasY4719DC (6/5): Average and not as expected - The good bits: The staff were very welcoming and check-in was good. The room and bathroom were very clean. Parking was really good and registering your vehicle was easy to do on arrival to validate your parking.
The bad bits: There was no option to book a ground floor room, I found the stairs hard as I have Fibromyalgia and hyper mobility syndrome. The water pressure for the shower wasn't great, it took a lot longer to shower than normal. The bed wasn't very comfortable, we barely had much sleep and the little sleep we did get we woke up with stiff necks and back pain. The price for one night was more than what we expected.
- emmar815 (8/5): Another Fab Premier Inn - Very good as always.
I couldn’t get the app to work so we just arrived at the hotel to book in for the night.
The welcome was nice but the young lady on reception didn’t have very good English we asked questions but she struggled to understand.
The room was a standard premier inn immaculate and comfortable.
This is a very basic premier inn for experience, I forgot a brush and they had no extras at all downstairs.
We were on the top floor but unfortunately there was only one lift working and the glass corridor that joins the hotel is really really scary.
We were in room 518 and the view was nice, triple glazing and the AC was lovely.
The shower was hot and the towels fluffy.
The parking is next door and very expensive.
- poppy1972 (10/5): Fabulous welcome and outstanding customer service. - We arrived at 02:30 in the small hours of Friday 26th to the warmest friendly greeting and biggest smile. This is what I love about Premier inns , the staff are fabulous. Then bid farewell with an equally warm and friendly goodbye. Rooms as usual very comfy, fluffy towels, spotlessly clean and the comfiest of beds. Breakfast at the Beefeater was amazing , cooked to order so piping hot, The waitress is a real credit with her friendliness and attentiveness. As one of the cheaper Premier Inns it was certainly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had . Well done ❤️
- raymV5030AJ (2/5): Not So premier Inn - I would avoid this place like the plague, theirs is a few friendly staff but not all. The hotel rooms stink like an ashtray. The food portions are questionable. The free WiFi is worse than dial up and I’ve not even started on the town centre which if you have the displeasure to walk through is far too close to the so called Premier ha inn!
- coni_solar (10/5): Excellent experience, I will book again. - Excellent service, comfortable room, very comfortable bed and pillows, clean and goof food. Very close to the train station, 20 min from city centre.
- 391katiel (10/5): Great service - Having arrived after a very long drive, I was really grateful for the kind assistance from Fatima and Dagma in sorting out an issue with my room. They were both really helpful and professional. It was much appreciated.
- S891YStonip (10/5): Brilliant - The Staff were brilliant and very helpful. A very good atmosphere which made the stay more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
- saintst2022 (10/5): Good stay and responsive staff. - Arrived and checked in without any issues. Had a small problem with a noisy neighbour, but Tyresse did what he could to address it, which improved the situation. Good breakfast and clean room, so nothing to complain about.
- GoPlaces29665201655 (10/5): Brilliant - Lovely place staff very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble very clean and tidy plenty of hot water tea and coffee as much as u liked
- yvonneaF1125XW (2/5): Disappointing - I booked two rooms and called the hotel twice after booking to confirm interconnecting rooms for my family with young children. Both times I was reassured, but when we arrived late at night we were given separate rooms. The receptionist was polite and apologetic, but it was disappointing that what had been confirmed in advance was not honored.
At breakfast, I also noticed the curtains and air conditioning unit in the dining area were very dirty, which didn’t give a good impression in a space where food is served. I’ve attached pictures for reference.
- G3719NSlaurens (6/5): Family stay - the young man on reception was helpful and welcoming. Looks nice from the outside. Corridors and bedrooms smell of cigarette smoke really bad so it was unpleasant to have my 2 children there. Other than the smell the rooms were clean. Breakfast was good at the Buffett.
- Keza1973 (8/5): Great Premier inn - Lovely premier inn very clean loads of car parking space only downside the beefeater restaurant next door is very expensive so we got an Uber to hungry horse at the canalside £6 each way
- laceyw404 (10/5): Did the job for a one-night stay - Stayed one night, and it was just what I needed. Room was clean, tidy, and quiet. Check-in was smooth with friendly staff, and parking was convenient. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a short stopover. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
- 705kareems (10/5): 5 star staff - I just want to thank the whole of the premier inn Walsall M6 J10 hotel staff as everytime I have stayed with them it has been 5 star and they facilitate me massively when asking for special requests so thank you all so much and always greeting me with a smile whenever I stay with you.
- donnarY4819UJ (8/5): Great staff but wheres the air con - I really want to give this place 5 stars but the heat of the rooms to the point we couldn't sleep just doesn't warrant it , saying that the staff where amazing and couldn't do enough for us
- edgeway (10/5): Excellent stay - All members of staff were up to Whitbread standards. TY in particular, was a great help in solving an important issue. Hotel is located centrally with easy walking distance to the town centre. Room was clean and spacious with all the basic facilities.
- J9281MZiand (10/5): Served its purpose for the 1 night - All good 1 night visit clean and tidy very quiet greeting checking in was nice and friendly, car parking good , overall what I wanted
- davideV9333UE (10/5): Beautiful rooms and smooth check in - Beautiful rooms and a smooth check. We are down sadly for a double funeral but have to say the service we received from the hotel and restaurant was fantastic. Jackie and Becky on reception where two very pleasant ladies and made our visit pleasant by acknowledging us when we passed and having a cheery personality
Thank you so much for our visit
- PET6969 (8/5): Clean and fresh room - Clean tidy room, hot in room but had put 2 fans in there. Great stop over for us on way to wales value for your money, book breakfast as we didn’t so couldn’t get in
- A4336TUpauld (8/5): bathroom extractor fan - this hotel is in a great location. the room was lovely. the only thing that let this stay down was the noise from the bathroom extractor fan!,,, we tried to have a romantic bath....the fan said otherwise! partner went to the toilet in the night, the fan woke me up! we have stayed at many hotels and the bathroom fans have been on permanently for 24 hrs and are silent! over £100 for a night that was spoiled!
- Flyer18407429606 (10/5): Very pleasant place to stay - Nice hotel attached to a Beefeater and very close to the train station. I thought it might be noisy being in such a central location, but it wasn't. The reception staff were especially lovely - even when checking in at 3am after good old public transport let us down after the Black Sabbath event. Rooms were decent, but the staff deserve special mention for their helpful attitudes and smiles. Breakfast was extremely generous and very good.
- 269santhoshk (10/5): Great experience at low cost. - The hotel location, pricing, parking, restaurant and above all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Everything from arrival to departure went very well.
Will go this place again and would recommend to everyone.
- Debbiak (10/5): Just perfect, friendly staff, great food, comfortable surroundings - Firstly we were welcome by Rekha who is so happy and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, we already knew there was no air conditioning, but we had a fan in our room, had dinner in the Beefeater next door, Laura was very welcoming, food was perfect and not expensive, slept well, beds really comfortable, breakfasts were freshly cooked, I chose continental, had cereal, yoghurt and fruit, my husband and our friends has cooked, which was cooked fresh to order, stayed 2 nights, every single member of staff at the Premier and the Beefeater were happy and helpful, it made our stay even better, because we felt valued and looked after.
Cannot fault the accommodation or the food. Breakfasts are in the Beefeater next door, just perfect
- C9753OStrevora (10/5): excellant - for last year we have been staying here every 4 week and the staff here have been very nice and friendly especially becka who go above and beyond to make sure our stay is comfortable
- 17RonnieRutt (10/5): Fantastic - Definitely the best hotel around Birmingham. Everything is about the customer both in the hotel and restaurant. Special mention to Josh in the restaurant fantastic customer service..Above all having stopped in premier inns 4 nights a week for over 10 years this hotel and restaurant is by far the best I’ve ever stopped in
- lynk594 (10/5): Great stay and customer care - Clean and tidy room as usual, very helpful lady on reception upon arrival who attended to a problem in the room straightaway.
Excellent, friendly breakfast service next door with the best Premier Inn porridge tasted. Stay a lot in PI's and this one was a better one.
- YtarmyYtarmy (8/5): Looks like Lenny was right after all 🤷🏻♂️ - Haven’t stayed in a Premier Inn for a while, but was presently surprised by this one. I would have probably given it 5/5, but I did t thinks the breakfast was that good and I couldn’t set up a table in the bar with my meal. All the staff were very friendly, from reception to the bar. The room was basic but clean, bed comfortable, I’d normally wander out for an evening meal but as I was I. Work late, spotted the bar so thought I’d eat on site. I had Chicken Wings, Mixed Grill and a couple of pints of the black stuff. All were spot on 👌🏼 They do a deal, evening meal, breakfast and drink (see photo) I would have told work to book me that had I known as it’s a decent deal (not sure if you are limited on what you can select though so check first). I don’t come to this site with my work, but I think I’d definitely look at staying here again should the need arise.
- Culture43258202932 (10/5): Outstanding as always - Always a pleasure to stay at j10 premier, always clean, staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Food always amazing. Stayed many times and it never fails to make our stay enjoyable. Staff are always polite and helpful, and always there if we need anything.
- emmapL972IC (10/5): A good stay at this lovely hotel - We stayed at this hotel. It’s not your modern hotel. But was extremely clean. With 2 fans in the room.
I recommend taking an extension lead ( we did) as there is only a few plugs by the tv. No sockets by the beds.
But because we were prepared it was fine. The room was a nice size. With clean towels and bedding.
All we needed to ask for was an extra cup as they only put 2 of everything in the room even though our booking was for 3 people.
Michelle who worked in the hotel and her son James who worked in the restaurant were amazing and so so helpful.
The restaurant closes very early so be aware of this. But the food was lovely.
Parking is great. And there is a local shop just in walking distance.
- SomersetKeithers (8/5): Check out The Brewers Fayre - Well located hotel, just a short walk to Walsall town centre.Public car park on-site £8 for 24 hours.
Smooth check-in, it usually is at a Premier Inn, with a warm welcome. The rooms are typiacl for this chain, normal facilities with comfy bed, ample hot water for the shower.
The on-site Brewers Fayre is one of the best I have ventured into for this brand, with a large restaurant, plenty of light from the many floor to celling windows and a bar area with tv, pool table and decent selection of beers, etc. We had breakfast here, terrific value with a variety of hot and cold options and it's all you can eat.
- Digus57 (10/5): Great value. - Very clean rooms, large and spacious. Lovely staff. Breakfast was perfect and great choice. Breakfast also was ready for 6.30am which was perfect for us. Great value. Parking facilities great, and check in was simple and easy. Will use again.
