- cathytZ8153WO (6/5): Comfy stay. Cleanliness issues of room - I visit often and its always been 5 stars. Check in is efficient. Reception staff are slways helpful. Parking us easy. Beds are super vomfy and rooms seem fairly spund proof. On this occasion, there was a smell of urine in the toilet and the floor in front of the loo was a bit sticky. Not something Id usually bother to highlight but then on moving the arm chair in the room there was an empty plastic water bottle and a bit of rubbish under it.
I had the impression that the room hadn't been properly cleaned.
I would stress that I stay every 2-3 months and have done for years and its always been 5 stars on every other occasion
- broad0161 (4/5): I would not advise - poor value very over priced when there is no breakfast
beds dangerously high for older persons
rooms were clean but cold
service on asking questions the receptionist rolled her eyes
amenities were awful no breakfast
as attached to a bar parking difficult and noisy at night
- O4863TQcolina (10/5): Another perfect stay - Excellent stay as usual, using before flight from MAN Airport, new breakfast room perfect, no drinks and dinner though, but options around. Friendly and efficient staff, thank you!
- Passport10861522844 (10/5): Excellent stay at Premier Inn Cheadle! - The check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect, from offering local tips to ensuring I had everything I needed in my room.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and had that signature Premier Inn bed that guarantees a great night’s sleep. The location is ideal — quiet yet close to Manchester Airport and local amenities
- Navigate06802468452 (2/5): Night stay - I booked in at 10.30pm ish by charley got to room all i wanted was sleep as i had been at alexandra hospital since 7.am wife having major surgery this hotel was the closest to hospital i never knew this was ON THE FLIGHT PATH never saw it on website when booking never been near cheadle before just booked as it was near wife then couldnt sleep due to planes coming over so had a shower which was faulty leaked all over bathroom reported this when i left between 6-6.30am i was told i would get a FULL REFUND RANG GUEST RELATION I WAS TOLD NO WAY A REFUND WILL BE GIVEN BUT WE WIILL GIVE YOU £16ffor faulty shower
- S5788VNsarahj (10/5): Wonderful staff. Thank you Christina - We have just checked in with Christina in Cheadle and she was so helpful and so kind. I cannot say thank you enough. I highly recommend.
- karlosno1 (2/5): Not to premier inn standard - The room was grubby and not well maintained - some lights didn't work, bathroom seals mouldy, damaged table leg, hair in sink on arrival, stained toilet seat.
Kids camp bed that was placed in room didn't fit due to side unit being at the head end preventing it being placed at the wall.
We requested 7am breakfast when asked upon arrival, but the lady working did not greet us at 7am as they were not there until 7.05. Hot food from the cook still being prepared at 7.20, meaning we didn't have the full breakfast as we were waiting on items such as eggs etc to be made.
Smokers right outside our room window which was the entrance to hotel. Even with window closed the smell entered the room.
Peephole in door damaged so potential for someone to look in.
Noisy corridor - was woken up twice during the night to slamming doors.
I have stayed in at least 10 premier inns and this was the worst by quite a long way. It did not meet the standard of the others.
- joshandkaitlinsdad (10/5): Every hotel needs a Beth, Idrat and an Alex! Wonderful experience every time. Highly recommended! - A wonderful hotel in a great location. Staff are amazing and friendly (especially Beth, Idrat, and Alex. Every hotel needs these people!) Quiet, cozy. Highly recommended!
- tracye560 (10/5): Overnight stay before flying from Manchester Airport. - We had been let down by our original hotel, which we'd booked for the night before we went on holiday for a week, flying from Manchester. Christine and Amy who were on reception that night could see I was in a distressed state, they were absolutely amazing and so helpful. Everything was sorted with no fuss, and we had a room for the night, thanks to them!
- Grewalski (6/5): OK but expensive and poor WiFi. - Typical Premier Inn. Friendly staff and clean rooms conveniently located to the business parks. Breakfast is nice. There is a little noise from air traffic but windows have additional glazing to keep to a minimum. WiFi was very poor though - even regular emails / messages were slow. It was unusable and unfortunately mobile reception is not great either. Price is expensive for what you get but I guess that's what you pay for being relatively near an airport.
- MummaMeerkat (6/5): Half Hearted Housekeeping - We had been unable to get a room at West Didsbury Premier Inn but assumed that, as a chain, the Cheadle hotel would be equally nice.
As you enter the hotel the front of the Cheadle Royal neighbouring is very dissolved with paint flaking off etc. This seems to have been empty for some time and. uncared for although I'm assuming it's part of the chain.
W were initially given a room that had no top light in the bedroom, and as a vertigo sufferer this triggered an episode. It took a lot of persuasion to get a room change.
The room we were then given had the usual comfy bed, but unfortunately house keeping had been rather slap dash as there was thick dust and dirt over the legs of the bedside table and one of the lamps and dusty cobwebs over the curtains. There were a couple of Malteser's on the floor, and other crumbs so I feel the carpet had not been hoovered. There was also only 1 towel in the room despite there being two of us staying.
The corridor outside our room also looked like it had not been hoovered for a couple of days as there were crumbs and dirt on the carpet.
The receptionist told me that this is usually the last of the Premier Inn Hotels to fill up near the airport and I can understand why. I will to be staying there again. I'll make sure I book West Didsbury in plenty of time next time I need to stay in Manchester.
- H1909GOsheilaj (10/5): Welcoming & lovely comfortable stay - Had a lovely stay, renovations are excellent.New dining room & breakfast was very enjoyable.Room was also perfect had everything we needed.I’d like to say a massive thank you to Kalin the manager, for helping us on our way,we had some car trouble & he sorted it,he was so helpful.Very much appreciated and we will be back soon.Dave & Sheila x
- mizanurr363 (6/5): Ok for price but not the best premier inn experience - Very basic premier inn, beds were comfy, bathroom extractor fan was very loud and the hotel is located on the landing flight path to Manchester Airport so a lot of noise from jet engines as they fly past the hotel. I think more flights land at weekends and the planes were flying past all night.
Date of stay:
September 2025
- mkrajguru (2/5): Receptionist won’t say you that you have to register your car for parking. - My company booked the hotel for one night stay. It was not busy at all. Lady at the reception desk at the time of checking in was struggling so man sitting next to her helped me. No one mentioned me to register my car’s number plate number plate. I didn’t even see any signs. It was obvious for me that empty hotel car park was free to use for customers.
After two weeks now I received the parking ticket. When tried to contact hotel reception, for more than 40 minutes no one was available!! Called premier inn head office and they gave me email id of hotel and phone number for Horison parking company. Send email with proof of my booking to hotel. Horizon parking can not discuss anything over the phone. They only deal in writing. They even told me that reception staff is not supposed to tell you about parking restrictions where I’ve to register my vehicle!!! That sounds fishy!!!
I had to appeal to horizons parking company to void parking charge. I’m sure it will happen as I’ve all the proofs. However it’s an unnecessary stress and waste of my time when I’m a legitimate paying customer.
Will never use this hotel as I love living my life stress free. I’d also recommend my seniors at my company to stop using this place.
- paulasA6008DC (10/5): My Stockport trip - I had a wonderful time. Considering how much I paid for the room, it was amazing. Very clean throughout and very comfortable. It was a shame there was little or no WiFi. The staff are faultless, very welcoming and friendly. My breakfast was to die for, delicious and great value for money. Totally recommended!
- jodymarier2023 (6/5): A very basic hotel, somewhat disappointed with our stay. - We stayed at the Premier Inn Stockport for one night while attending a business event. I booked and paid for two rooms, and although they were close together, the standards were completely different. One room had clearly been updated and was in much better condition, while the other was dated and tired-looking—yet both were charged at the same nightly rate.
The following morning we attempted to have breakfast, but after waiting 20 minutes without being served, I asked a waitress about the expected wait time. She advised she couldn’t say as they were too busy. We had to request a refund and leave without breakfast, which was disappointing. The food we saw did look lovely, but the atmosphere in the temporary restaurant was far from relaxing. The staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed, which didn’t make for a pleasant experience. The hotel is apparently having a new restaurant built, so perhaps this is a temporary issue.
There is free car parking with plenty of spaces available, which was very convenient. The hotel is also close to Manchester Airport, great for travellers, but be aware that the regular planes flying overhead can add some extra noise during your stay.
It’s a very basic Premier Inn overall. On the plus side, the location is great, with a TGI Fridays just around the corner for an easy evening meal.
Unfortunately, for this visit, it didn’t live up to our expectations.
- cazzamillis (4/5): Terrible night - So disappointed with our stay at this hotel
We had a double room 1st floor and a family room found floor with 2 small Children
We had the worst night with Poole in 3 rooms next t door adjacent to us and above were they ran riot till 12.45am , children screaming running up and down corridors , parents shouting after them , parents also being extremely loud, banging doors etc
Ran reception from our phone as. O phones in rooms and ask for them to control this
No one came to the rooms to sort this out
Complained at breakfast to be told they can’t control what residents do but will have a word
On leaving the hotel we were afforded a refund on breakfast which is much appreciated however one of our rooms room 15 should have been refunded as the whole family lost sleep and continued noise throughout the night without any help from the night staff
Appalling customer service and wouldn’t tune this hotel again on the basis of absolute no help with this situation early hours of the morning
- cookyducky (10/5): Clean and welcoming - Very good stay, king size bed was comfy clean and fresh. The staff were polite, professional and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and included vegan options.
- carolinegivan (8/5): Overnight stay with youngest before university - Room was comfortable, good shower
We were informed about there been no restaurant for breakfast next door. TGI Fridays is still open for business but expensive. Breakfast in the morning was ok, poached eggs took a while to arrive. Staff were friendly
- M3655IPbryanh (10/5): Excellent stay at Wilmslow Premier Inn - My stay was excellent, room spot on, comfy bed and great shower. Staff and the front desk were excellent, we had booked 2 nights under different bookings but he made sure we could stay in the same room both nights, very much appreciated.
- janerX8623AR (8/5): Wedding weekend - We stayed for one night. Checkin was pleasant & quickly sorted. The hotel is in a very good position for our requirements. Our room was very clean & the bathroom was spacious, clean & with a large modern walk in shower. Tea & coffee was available although 4 milk isn't enough for 2 drinks in the evening & 2 in the morning as each cup requires 2. Dare say had we asked they would have provided more. The carpet does need renewing as there was a big frayed hole near the window ( room 41 )
When we arrived the window was open yes it's near a dual carriage way & yes there's loads of aircraft coming & going so I did think i was in for a sleepless night but once the window was closed I did sleep extremely well & thats coming from a light sleeper who rarely sleeps well in the 1st place. The hotel is very quiet and I felt very safe. This time we attended a wedding nearby but we are considering staying again when we travel from Manchester Airport next summer so the hotel definitely has been good for us.
- Manchesters1963 (4/5): Way too much noise - Nice room, comfy bed ...all I would expect. Unfortunately my ground floor room was nx to reception and close to the door leading to first floor so therefore the noise of doors opening and closing and people passing the room late into the night, and early this morning, spoilt our stay and prevented anything like a good nights sleep (my daughter had the room nx door and had the same experience)
- A6481SIemmas (10/5): Convenient for the airport - Convenient for the airport
Clean and quite
Lovely restaurant next-door
Good value for money
Will definitely use again
- micheals566 (10/5): Overnight stay for airport - After staying here overnight we realised at the airport I'd lost my wallet containing cards, cash etc. Not sure where and no time to ring round.
On arriving in Greece, the hotel rang my mobile and said the housekeeper (Magda) had found it in our room. They kept it for me in the safe until our return 2 weeks later.
Wonderful service once again from Premier Inn, thank you to the lovely staff and especially Magda.
Perfect hotel for Manchester airport, very comfortable and clean, nice pub/restaurant next door and free car parking too.
Excellent, will definitely return.
- am2103 (4/5): Not in a heat wave! - I have been visiting this hotel for many years. My stay is booked in advance for 2 nights in June/July/August. For the past 4 visits, I have hit a heat wave in Manchester!
I have stayed at a range of hotel in this area. I like this hotel for its location, the walk in shower and the staff. As I spend a good deal of time out of the hotel I am not concerned that breakfast is not available on site. Some options are offered for a small fee at reception.. The rooms conform to Premier Inn spec, so one knows what to expect. The staff are friendly and helpful. The core of the team have been in Wilmslow some years and take a pride in their work. They make my stay as comfortable as they can.
On this recent stay, I found the wi-fi less reliable than on previous visits, despite it having been renewed. I was upgraded to 'ultimate ' but this too was not reliable. Very frustrating.
Although each room has a fan, it is noisy and makes little difference to the temperature in the room. The bedding is synthetic and not conducive to sleep on a hot night.
After several years suffering these regular heatwaves, in Premier Inn, Wilmslow I will be reluctant to book again in the summer months, unless there is air con and more reliable wi-fi at the hotel.
I am sure I am not the first and unlikely to be the last, to report these issues!
- michelepullan (8/5): Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel convenient for Manchester Airport and Wilmslow - As with all the Premier Inns we have stayed in, the bed was really comfortable and the shower was modern and efficient. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is quite small but rooms are clean and there is a lift available to the 2 upper floors. we had a room at the back which was very quiet and the hotel is not overlooked. In fact there are lovely walks across Lindow Common which start just opposite the hotel. There is a restaurant and bar adjacent to the hotel but it is a shame there is no breakfast option without driving into Wilmslow.
- tariqk505 (4/5): Very disappointed - Positives:
1. Location is good with free parking and easy access to supermarket facilities close by if any supplies are needed.
2. Reasonably priced rooms.
Negatives
1. The whole place looked very tired and run down. Refurbishment badly needed. Definitely not upto usual Premier inn standards.
2. The room carpets were really dirty and general cleanliness left much to be desired (One of rooms had someone’s clothes/undergarment below one of the beds!!).
3. While we were aware of no air conditioning, the rooms do become quite hot & muggy in summer months. Fans provided may not be enough.
4. Can be noisy as the place is in the direct path of landing aircrafts at the nearby airport which continue till late at night (unless one enjoys plane spotting when it is at an excellent spot!).
- 544jamiei (4/5): Disappointing Premier Inn - Disappointing Premier Inn. Needs modernising. No air con. Wasn't given a WiFi code on checking in and room 4 next to reception has an annoying rythmic electrical noise coming from wall behind our heads which affected our sleep. Beds were comfy though and location to airport parking was convenient. Had to park in overflow car park due to busy restaurant next door but wasn't too much of an issue.
- 234stuartf (8/5): Lovely hotel - Great hotel in a good location, which was clean and well maintained. Good sized car park right next to Hickory's (although they don't do breakfast), and the staff were always super helpful. My only gripe was the lack of food on offer (there was porridge and chocolate bard etc) but given the price they charge, you can't go wrong..
- vernewood (8/5): Three quiet nights' sleep - Rather weirdly, the hotel is hidden behind Hickory's Smokehouse with no branding visible on the main road. It looks quite scruffy from the outside but our room was fine and, most importantly, very quiet. The only disappointment was the size of the bath - not really big enough to lie in but ok as a shower.
NB. No breakfast at the Premier Inn or the Smokehouse but plenty of options in the town.
- CarolinaN990 (10/5): What a lovely hotel! - What a lovely hotel! It was clean and comfortable! Everything was in good condition. As recently we stayed in a Premier Inn that was not that nice, unfortunately, even though it was not an old one. Good stay after arriving in a late flight. I would return and recommend!
- durhamwasp (10/5): Impossible to complain - Great price, close to Jet Parks car park and an excellent restaurant next door.
Arrived at 5pm, check in took 2 minutes. Restaurant next door is very popular, and for good reason. We were a family of 6 and next time we know to book a table, but still got seats at bar. Food excellent.
- Jet54019951855 (10/5): Premier Inn - Super clean, comfy, everything you need, big rooms, and great staff
very good price, eating place next door, plenty parking, Coffee and tea included extras available at reception great for the airport. Short drive, easy to find, great if you have an early flight.
- tomgS4072GR (10/5): Great staff - The rooms were very clean and tidy, much better than I expected as I’ve stayed in other premier inns before.
The staff were polite and super helpful with any extra things I asked for.
There’s also a restaurant next door which I also thoroughly recommend, food was top notch.
Had the best time!
- T5976TKthomasm (10/5): Fantastic Service and Staff - Me and the misses spent 2 nights here in Jan. Room was in great condition and reminded me of a fantastic hotel I stayed in in Magaluf back in 2009. bed was in great condition, and vibrating pillows were a nice touch. 5 stars all round. planning a return visit next summer for our honeymoon
- F2525UKjackc (10/5): Best Value for Money I’ve Experienced at a Hotel - I visited in February and felt entirely comfortable the entire time, and especially well accommodated. The value for money is unmatched, the building and rooms are exceedingly well-kept, and the staff are very friendly, particularly the girl on reception Rebecca, whose amiable manner and attentive attitude greatly enhanced the quality of my stay. Highly recommend.
- alexathodgeheg (6/5): Usual Premier Inn Exprience, Except for Woefully Inadequate Parking - Premier Inns are hotels where you are usually sure of getting a clean, comfortable stay, with staff well versed in customer service skills. Wilmslow is no exception to this, but there is now a major problem for traveling guests. The (independent) restaurant next door has now become so popular that the shared car park is woefully inadequate for the site. Arriving at 4pm on a Saturday night and snagging what was probably the last available space was somewhat of a surprise (and the 'out of space' parking can make maneuvering in the car park tricky, not to mention many of the spaces are quite tight). There is a small car park opposite for Lindow Common, but this is technically "no overnight parking" so you could always take a risk that it's not enforced, but having lived in Wilmslow for a number of years in the past, I would be concerned that I wouldn't return to a full set of windows in the morning.
The location of the hotel is a little way out of the town, 10-20 minutes walk along the main road, where there are a variety of restaurants (the Thai "Naa Kin" is very good, and you always get a good curry at "Barinda"). Beware, however, that the main road is very busy and only has a made up pavement on the opposite side to the hotel. Crossing the main road after 5pm on a Friday night can take a few minutes and a mad dash - this is Wilmslow driving after all. You can cut through Lindow Common, but this can be muddy and is unlit so not recommended in the winter months.
In short, if not relying on the car park, then recommended (get room 207 if you can). However, if traveling by car, not recommended. Unfortunately, this means we're unlikely to return.
- Departure17524256364 (10/5): Comfortable stay - The bed was really comfortable and we had all of the facilities that we needed.
The location is perfect for Manchester Airport.
We would certainly stay again .
Good value for money . Friendly and helpful staff .
Next door to a pub so good to be able to wqlk across for a drink
- U2343TBjillh (10/5): Great hotel - Great little hotel, close to the airport and very comfortable room. The receptionist, Rebecca was very helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable on local areas to eat. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Was really impressed with the shower and the beds were so comfy!
- Lindsay-and-Neil (8/5): Great Option if flying from Manchester - We stayed one night as part of a package with Meet & Greet Parking at T1.
The receptionist was extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly, explaining everything we needed.
Our room was on the 2nd floor and there is a small lift if required. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed very comfortable. It had a walk in shower, which I prefer (with my dodgy knee!) and the room temperature was pleasant. There was a fan of needed and heating too. Tea/coffee etc was supplied and you could collect more from reception if needed.
The hotel is next to the Hickory Restaurant. We didn't eat here, but it looked great.
Parking was free/included and it's only a 19 min or so drive from Manchester Airport. Perfect.
