Guest Reviews
- chrissJ4686GX (6/5): Poor dining experience - Rooms as expected, dining, poor menu choice especially for fish or vegetarian, also a lot of things not available, tiny tables, not recommended
- Catherine_London_UK2 (2/5): Chaos - The room keys kept locking out and the staff at reception couldn’t speak English.
I was out all day and came back to a room that had not been cleaned despite the member of staff on reception ‘writing a note’ that I wanted my room to be made up.
I stay at Premier Inns because I know what the standard will be and this is one is ruining the brand.
- 528suprithag (10/5): Sylvia Went Above and Beyond - Our recent visit was made truly exceptional thanks to Sylvia. From start to finish, she organised everything with impressive efficiency and remarkable confidence. Nothing was too much trouble—she anticipated our needs, handled every detail with care, and did so with a level of enthusiasm that made the whole experience feel effortless.
Sylvia’s daring approach to problem-solving and her ability to keep everything running smoothly set her apart. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism, warmth, and initiative so naturally. We’re genuinely grateful for her hard work and couldn’t have asked for a better organiser.
Highly recommended—Sylvia is a standout member of the staff, and we look forward to visiting again thanks to her exceptional service.
- tonynM1173VN (8/5): Premier Inn Romford Town Centre - Convenient town centre location, off site discounted parking with generous width parking bays, although carpark lifts were out of order throughout 5 day stay. Premier inn itself was easily accessible, with friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Modern decor but ready for a touch up in some areas. It wasn't busy during my stay. I opted for the premier plus room which wasn't much more expensive and worth it in my opinion for the better shower pressure and bottled water. Restaurant menu seemed limited but food was decent enough, just don't expect gastro pub quality. The restaurant staff were really friendly, attentive and helpful throughout my stay. I would stay here again if I needed to come back to Romford for work, although wouldn't rush to come back to Romford for anything other than that!
- tonywQ2281SV (10/5): Staff make it - Excellent central location. Staff great, especailly Silvia and Raluca, very professional, helpful and friendly, making it a home from home, thankyou.
Kind regards
Tony
- Curious01077584945 (10/5): Excellent hotel. - Excellent customer service, food was lovely and well priced. Staff are very pleasant and nothing seems too much trouble. Cleanliness is spot on and location is fab.
- H3495NWtomast (10/5): Super friendly experience - Amazing experience at premier inn recomended, very clean rooms comfy beds, tasty food ,and very friendly staff .atmosphere is very warm
- Quest67243086888 (10/5): Such a lovely stay. - Had a fantastic stay at the Town Centre. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast had lots of choice and dinner was absolutely delicious. Overall a really great stay! The team was absolutely amazing and very helpful.
- barbarapN7093XF (6/5): Premier inn last visit. - The hotel is in the middle of being renovated, and our room was one of the renovated rooms which was very clean and tidy.
We have previously stayed in this hotel, but our experience overall this time was very different. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant next door, but on this occasion it was closed. We were not advised of this at the time of booking.
On arrival we were an hour early we enquired if the room was ready the receptionist didn’t answer that question but said if she checked us in there would be an additional £15 early check in charge. We declined and returned later.
On return we left our personal belongings in the room and asked if the receptionist could call a taxi, to which she replied no there were numbers in reception we could call, no numbers were visible.
Having paid £10 per person for a breakfast we were asked what time we wanted we booked for 10.45 we arrived at 10.30 on arrival for breakfast there was now a place in the hotel for breakfast. It was buffet style, bacon was over cooked, scrambled eggs were very rubbery, mushrooms part cooked. Once again previously it was cooked to order. Half way through breakfast, the staff started clearing up and making us feel uncomfortable so much so we left just after 11.00. We’d previously been told that breakfast was unlimited and serves until 12.00. We’d previously suggest that information should be clearer on booking, there is no bar you can use on or near the premises.
- 36ewenr (4/5): Disappointing 2nd visit - Booked 7 nights in a premier plus room. On arrival informed there was a mistake and this type of room was unavailable.
Lots of issues with food being unavailable in the restaurant.
Technical issues with the car park making it difficult to exit every morning
- Maps10231208508 (10/5): 5 Star Guest Service - Recognising Raluca & Claire - As a regular solo business visitor and guest of Premier Inn London Romford Town Centre, I chose to leave a review for my visit week in mid-October 2025.
I was extremely impressed and delighted by the outstanding hospitality, warm welcome, caring professionalism and consideration for my well-being, requirements and comfort whilst at the hotel from the brilliant RALUCA, on reception desk and Head of Kitchen Service. Her positive attitude, tireless energy across duties for staff and guests, managerial professionalism, hard work, consistently pleasant demeanour and lovely humour, despite workload, were all appreciated. Raluca is a major asset to this hotel and cares equally for the success of her colleagues and guests alike.
I also wish to thank for that week CLAIRE on reception and Head of Housekeeping. Maintaining equally high service standards, Claire demonstrated great professionalism, superb customer service, care and focus with a comedic sense of humour which was often deployed to lift spirits and much appreciated. Thank you ladies and very well done!

- gavinn297 (4/5): Needs a lot of work - Under staffed so doesn’t function like any other premier inn I have stayed at, even though Raluco and Sylvia checked in, served and cooked food the overall experience is well below expectations. Also leak in bathroom and could not be moved so had to grab extra towels to stem the flow of water.
- Loulabelle44 (6/5): Standard Premier Inn Experience - We spent one night at this hotel while in the area for a party.
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Romford station, right by Romford Market.
We had to wait a couple of minutes to check in, as someone else arrived at the same time, but it was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable.
We decided to have the hot breakfast at the hotel, and it was very well stocked with a typical selection. It was decent value for money.
This was a very typical Premier Inn experience. I would stay here again.
- KirstyJH3 (10/5): Would happily stay here again - Stayed here on the way to Cardiff.
Friendly staff.
Clean and comfortable.
The room had everything you could need, was large and well thought out.
Good shower.
Very comfortable bed.
Would stay here again and with Premier Inn again.
Ross on Wye is close by (driving distance) and such a pretty place with lots of shops and independent shops and restaurants, would like to re-visit.
- 823ernestab (10/5): Business stay was outstanding - I had a good and pleasant stay at Romford Town Centre. The receptionist was friendly and professional. The food was tasty, and the restaurant staff were nice. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Have been staying a lot of Premier Inns this was the cleanest. Will definitely comeback.
- andyaE32TQ (8/5): Mottfest 2025 - Had a great time in Ross-on Wye, starting point and ending point was the Premier Inn - great first impression, warm welcome from the girl at reception. Only down point, and it is minor was she wasn't able to call a taxi, but she did offer a list of numbers. Hotel was clean, comfy which is all I needed!
- L5138GDninas (2/5): Parking Fines, Strangers entering my room in the night... - Parking fines, a make guest been given my room and entering while I was asleep after 11pm. My colleagues, all had issues with being given rooms that were occupied. On check in there were mistakes in the billing and we were asked for more money. The chef did not arrive for dinner service and we were not assisted with alternate options with one elderly couple saying they had no choice but to eat crisps for dinner. Not acceptable that I have now received multiple parking fines for my stay when the website clearly states free parking.... Lack of advice at reception on parking...... Also my room key failed to work every time I left the room I needed a new key.
- siraget (10/5): Really good all round - Firstly I was surprised how nice it is in the reception and bar/restaurant area,it wasnt what i was expecting at all. The staff are really friendly, helpful and cheerful which is always nice. The room was very good with all the usual amenities and mostly importantly very clean. Had dinner in the restaurant which was surprisingly really good, Scampi and chips and a chicken n bacon stack. The food was cooked fresh to order and I could tell it wasnt reheated from a packet straightaway. Also there is a viewing window from the breakfast counters where you can see the chef cooking the food. The kitchen was spotlessly clean with what looked like state of the art appliances, very nice . All in all a really pleasant stay at a nice premier inn hotel with nice staff, rooms and food.
- Michael (8/5): - Friendly welcome. Nice choice of food at breakfast.
Would have preferred shower instead of bath unit.
- Y5666QUclairep (10/5): Very clean had no problems - Lisa was very helpful with resolving the problem with the room. The tv wasn't working properly and had the change rooms Lisa couldn't do enough for us.
The staff are very friendly and will go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable
Thank you Lisa
- sim1001 (10/5): Great Stay. Good Premier Inn - Stayed at this Premier Inn 12/9. - 14/9. It’s a good Premier Inn. Room was large and typical Premier Inn style, clean. Only gripe was the bath missing its plug but other than that no issues. Staff on Reception very helpful especially Gabriella, as I had issues getting an Invoice for work as the Pro Forma issued is no good. Think you and will stay here again.
- paulbG5423ZW (8/5): Parking Fines - Horizon Parking Fine
We stayed at the Premier Inn from 31st August to 4th September. Booking reference AMQ8510471.
Having a Blue Badge we were able to park right next to the entrance. As we have used Premier Inn's many times before we recorded our booking at reception, confirmed duration of stay and inclusive deal and also provided the vehicle registration to the receptionist. We thought this to be sufficient. No signage was noticed between our short walk to the entrance (about 5 paces). Am I now to expect further charges for the additional 4 nights (5 days) of our stay at Ross On Wye?
The online advert states that parking and Wi Fi are free at Premier Inn, and we understood that as with previous stays at other Premier Inn's, that it was sufficient to register a vehicle at reception on arrival.
- FionaS288 (2/5): Disappointed Stay - Don't eat in the restaurant as its overpriced for what you get and may have a long wait to receive you food. Bedroom could do with a paint and a shower with some power
- Jaypeekay (4/5): Hotel in poor state - This hotel feels like it is being wound down to being closed down. Have stayed here numerous times before and always been OK. The onsite pub/restaurant has already closed for good. The new bar in the hotel was hopeless no draught beer available all week the staff were hardly ever there seemingly spending most of their time outside smoking. No senior staff on shift at all it seemed so when the till on the bar had a glitch there wasn't anyone there who knew how to fix it so the choice was cash only or no food or drinks! The room was quite shabby especially the bathroom and was advised upon arrival that our rooms would not be made up each day unless we specifically asked them to do so which leads you to think they are under staffed. Will not be staying at this branch of premier inn again.
- dannynQ5071WK (2/5): Worst premier Inn ever - Cold room heating wasn't working but perfectly clean evening. Food expensive. Overcooked some items. A little suspect coffees were stone cold. We was told that's how it comes from the machine when we arrive there was one girl working. She had to do the bar. The reception attend any rooms, take orders for food and serve it on our own it took us about a good half hour to check in because of this. Obviously not her fault there was little response to our complaints about the food. Breakfast in the morning was awful. I'd been sitting in the trays for ages. Beans were congealed bacon overcooked like cardboard , fried eggs, overcooked scrambled eggs looked awful. Coffee machine was broken
- Y1443ZTdaniels (2/5): I thought premier inn was good but apparently not :( - It was awful, I paid for a premium room and the tap to the bath/shower was so stiff that I couldn’t use/move it, the big shower head was shooting water up at the ceiling and over the curtain/window so I couldn’t really use that because it would’ve flooded the room, the air con was broken/not working and the windows don’t open so I couldn’t even really sleep because I was sweating so much and struggling to breathe from the heat and the bed was soaked from sweating (nothing was good about my stay) p.s. I killed a spider
- NWills_1982 (8/5): Good Stay! - We arrived quite late and used self check in which was quick and easy. We then headed to the restaurant and Paige was extremely helpful and friendly! The food in the restaurant was of a good standard. The rooms were the biggest I’ve ever stayed in with a premier inn, they were clean and the shower was extremely powerful! Breakfast on our first morning was great, fully stocked, relatively quiet and lots of choice. We didn’t eat the hotel on our second morning, but on our final morning we went to breakfast slightly later and it was a bit of a shambles. There was no hot breakfast left, we had to kill around for a good 15-20 minutes waiting for this to be cooked and there was no apology from the staff.
Overall we had a good stay. The train station is only a 5-10 minute walk away and you are surrounded by shops. The bar in the hotel is open until 12:30am and due to the location of the hotel it is a quite small hotel, which I think I prefer! We will definitely stay again when visiting family in the area!
- johnfB115XH (6/5): Good for 1 night en route. - Usual PI experience. But very odd as ,despite the existence of the restaurant/ pub next door, the breakfast etc is served in a pokey little place down the corridor from reception.
- theresarI1914TW (10/5): Restaurant - Had a meal in the restaurant which was cooked and served by the lovely Raluca as the chef was not in. Multi tasking at its best, lovely meal and the staff were friendly as always.
Thank you
Tony and Theresa
- veronajester (10/5): Premier Inn with great staff - Syliva and the chef Raluca were very personable, very hands on a present. Which made interaction and ordering of food /drinks a lovely experience. Topped with the fact that Raluca is an excellent chef.
A very nice surprise of a stay thank you ladies x
- F2140DPjohnj (10/5): Great service in Premier Inn, Ross on Wye - Because it was a late decision to come to Ross on Wye choice of accommodation was very limited. This Premier Inn was available. My wife, brother in law and I stayed 3 nights. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a variety of options both, continental and full English. We only had one evening meal which was well cooked and presented. However, I must highlight the service provided by the young staff both in reception and the restaurant, which was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and courteous. Thank you. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment if you are wanting cleanliness and good service.
- 998beatef (6/5): I was disgusted to be charged €15 for a disabled parking space !!! - The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly.
But the aircon in the room was very noisy and did hardly cool and the bed linen was damp which adds up to hardly any sleep.
In the description of the hotel on Hotel.com we were lead to believe that there was a restaurant which there wasn’t and also if you look at the hotels own website you could be led to believe the same. We chose to stay at this hotel because it was handicap friendly and that there was a restaurant, what a let down !!!! And the nearest restaurant is not within walking distance if you’re disabled, so no proper evening meal for us, just a snack bought in the supermarket next door.
We will definitely not stay there again !!!!
- gregdD2866AA (10/5): Great value for money - Welcoming staff, clean rooms, fab choice of breakfast, cooked breakfast top marks. Great value for money and great location for exploring Wye Valley. Both us and the kids had a lovely holiday.
- 44996677 (10/5): Consistently good. - A quick over night stay here again and I was delighted to find Lauren on reception when checking in. We wanted a recommendation for a good place to eat and drink in the town, she suggested The Royal Hotel and were weren't disappointed, see separate review. .
Breakfast at the Premier Inn was very busy but the staff on duty did their best and the cooked breakfast I had was lovely.
Well done to all staff
- R3283 (2/5): Bad - If want to sleep with inserts go to this hotel lots of them had 20 above bed this what they say be ware don’t stay here joke bugs bugs
- eddw52 (4/5): Shocking !! - Absolutely shocking hotel same as last year no chef turned up on Saturday night so no staff on duty as shifts were cancelled 1 lad running around to cover the bar and reception etc the Friday night the restaurant was open with 2 young lady’s working non stop to accommodate everyone including running the bar serving drinks etc but the breakfast Saturday morning was shocking eggs were dry along with the bacon and sausages ! And the cost is over the top clean room nice bed but no air con and no fly screens on windows ! We will not be returning.
- Journey01979005289 (10/5): Cycling Tour Stopover. - Used the Premier Inn as a stopover for our cycling tour to Ross-on-Wye, able to keep bikes in the room which is a big bonus. Staff friendly and efficient, rooms clean and tidy, and overall very satisfied.
- T6702FCphilm (4/5): Far too hot - Family room was a good size, but even on a moderately warm day (23 degrees outside) the room was unbearably hot - showing 29 degrees on the thermostat in the room overnight with the window open and the fans on. Would not recommend.
- tadeuszk367 (2/5): Premier Inn Customer care - I visited the Premier Inn, Ross-on-Wye, where I was booked to stay in July 2025 for three days. Having been away for most of the day on the 2nd day, I returned to the hotel at approximately 8:30 pm, to be told by the reception staff that the hotel was closed. No offer to find alternative accommodation (perhaps at one of their other hotels) was made, instead, my friends and I were told to try to find accommodation 14 or 15 miles away in Hereford. I am 76 years of age, suffering from ill health, so to be given no other option but to look for accommodation and somewhere to eat, late at night, irrespective of budget, or drive home, a 150-mile journey in the dark, was simply outrageous. I was on a 3-day break with friends, so my break was ruined. Had anyone consumed alcohol, they would have been unable to drive and forced to sleep in the car park.
Fortunately, I did not consume alcohol. To add insult to injury, upon returning home, I received a form to fill in, asking me to report how much I had enjoyed my visit. So much for Premier Inn’s motto “a great night's sleep”!
On my return, I complained to the head office, and without even asking, was told that under no circumstances would they offer any compensation (I was hoping to be compensated for my fuel costs).
I later discovered that the hotel was closed due to an infestation (earwigs), so understandably, it had to close but their attitude to customer care was shameful.
- 404barrettc (2/5): Cockroaches in the room - We paid £122 to share our room with cockroaches, in the bed and bathroom (crawling over our toothbrushes). Rubbish nights sleep bc we had to sleep with the light on. Room too hot, no aircon. Don't recommend. Reception staff were good though.
- Wadey42 (2/5): Don’t go! - We’ll die to heat wave and no air con my room above the kitchen was unbearable! 31 degrees at 9am! The kitchen was closed one day due to bug infestation which they never explained and then the bugs travelled to my room above! 3 nights with no sleep! Contacted the staff and customer relations and nothing! Really really poor service good night guarantee??? Yeah right!
