Guest Reviews
- Patrick (4/5): - Un hôtel pas très propre (parties communes et chambres) excepté le restaurant(lieu propre, nourriture de bonne qualité).personnels agréable dans l'ensemble.
Point fort : emplacement
- Filiz (4/5): - Was geen proper hotel en oud. Heel beperkte ontbijt. Omgeving van hotel vind je wel eetgelegenheden. Personeel was wel heel lief.
- garethjF8682SJ (10/5): School group - An outstanding stay with everything close by. In particular the breakfast was excellent as we had a school group and everyone was looked after so well by Marcia and Ahmed.
- Nigel (10/5): - Loads of places to eat and close to the shopping centrr
- angelamA768ET (8/5): Amazing breakfast - First impressions were not good reception staff a bit abrupt tell us we were to early for check in (25 minutes).
Room ok very clean a bit dated.
We had paid for breakfast £10.99 per person it was the best and freshest breakfast we have ever had in a premier inn! Congratulations to the chef and to Marcia the server who couldn’t have been more attentive. This is the reason they got the 4 star review.
- S6271QEjeana (8/5): Trip to london - Thank you to marcia and the chef for a great breakfast and very friendley service bed comfy, pillows need replacing. Room clean tidy.
- Deanwty (10/5): Great service - Great service from Marcia, Ram and Ahmed who cooked a great breakfast
Thanks to all
Stayed at the hotel as visiting family before Christmas
Great location to get the 119 bus into town no need to use car and can get around easily on public transport
- WillC1926 (4/5): unclean room and uncomfortable bed - When we arrived at near 8pm we were told that we would be in room 8 which was down stairs ,on entering our room we found the window had been left open and the room was really cold .The room was really in poor state with paint flaking of the walls ,scratches to the walls ,some of the lights did not have bulbs in them (at bed side ) the carpets were really dirty and the bathroom like the bedroom had paint flaking of the walls and generally needed cleaned .
I have stayed here a few times before in different rooms and really had no issues ,it was as if these rooms had been forgotten .The bed and pillows were really hard making sure you had a really bad nights sleep .
- 795deanh (10/5): Lovely breakfast - Great service from Marcia and cooked to order breakfast by Alishba.
Well cooked food and attentive waitressing.Thanks.
- kenighal (10/5): Good experience - It was our second time. We love the location, you can easily gain access to major retailers and fast food restaurants if you so which. Rooms are quite affordable.
- O1049BAandyl (10/5): Brilliant customer service - Our experiance with all members of staff was so welcoming , a special mention goes to the lovely Marcia in the breakfast area she was so welcoming with a big smile and a caring nature.
She was not just welcoming guests as they walked in she was cleaning after everyone she was making every guest feel valued and specia ,thankyou Premier Inn.
- edwina1981 (10/5): Good business stay - Clean, quiet hotel with good parking (not chargeable) and plenty of food options on the door step.
Good breakfast with a warm welcome from Marcia and perfect poached eggs cooked by Alishba.
- J2333EUrachelm (8/5): A good stay - We had a family get-together and it was convenient for us all to stay at Premier Inn. The rooms were comfortable (although a couple of rooms needed airing on arrival) and the breakfast was very good. One member of staff, Marcia, stood out as she was so helpful when we were in the dining room. She refilled things promptly, explained the various breakfast options and heated croissants for us! Despite being very busy, she was very friendly and personable. She helped make our stay a very pleasant experience.
There was also a very helpful member of staff on the check-in desk. He ensured that we were happy with our various rooms when we arrived.
- Martynw1956 (8/5): Short two night stay with no problems. - Very straight forward from check in to check out.
Room was clean and warm.
Marcia at breakfast deserves a mention - nothing was too much bother for her.
- chloeaO3706PA (6/5): Average Stay - We (2 adults & 2 children) stayed for one night whilst visiting family.
We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who checked us in promptly.
Our room was located on the ground floor as requested - the room itself was very basic and felt quite outdated compared to other Premier Inn Hotels we have stayed in. The bathroom definitely needed a freshen up but was okay for what we needed.
We went to the restaurant on site (across the road) for dinner in the evening, again the staff member was great. Sadly we were let down by the food, particularly the children's menu - they chose Chicken Bites, chips and Mini Corn. The chicken was very dry and overcooked, meaning the children didn't eat very much at all.
Overall, it was a basic base for the one night we needed, but the hotel could definitely do with a freshen up.
- Dream68345180015 (10/5): One night stay - Great breakfast ably supported by Marcia and the chef at every turn. Superb customer service and attention to detail. Poached eggs were excellent.
- Y1816UVannies (10/5): Good standard stay - The staff were very friendly at the front desk and Marcia and Alishba were especially kind and accommodating i would go again. The vegan bacon was not my favourite not the way it was cooked but the product itself. The bed, room was clean and tidy all amenities were there as expected, did not disappoint shower good, bed good but room was quite hot unable to adjust the thermostat. Would stay again thanks
- joepO4734DM (10/5): Premier inn - Good service as expected, good cooked breakfast too and hotel manager is very helpful too. Great amount of parking round the rear of the property.
- D7565GIpw (8/5): Relaxing stay - We stayed at the hotel in Purley Croydon. The service was very good, especially one of the staff by the name of Marcia. She is very hard working, has a friendly manner as she chats to customers and was very helpful. I’d go there again.
- mdelvis (10/5): Perfect 👌 10 out of 10 - Lucy was amazing she even made our bed up for us as we were a walk in customer then she served us food at the restaurant also the man that was working was great too
- alexisfreeman811 (6/5): Great staff noisy hotel - Hotel was the noisy a couple of problems but staff very helpful breakfast lady Marcia is a credit to your company as I stay in many premier inns up and down the country she really good at her job
- C4752KQmatthewb (10/5): Great Stay - I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Croydon (Purley A23) for a 5-night business trip, and it was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing stay after long workdays. The breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice to start the day right. A special mention goes to Marcia, who looked after us so well—friendly, professional, and always going the extra mile. Fantastic service and great value. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Y7881SSkennethw (8/5): 5 long days away on business - Good clean hotel beds were comfortable and services are great on the door step u have few food places which is handy been away from home breakfast is well worth the money always hot and eggs cooked to order so always fresh and Marcia always makes you feel welcome and happy wonderful woman credit to the hotel
- GlennA946 (8/5): One of the better hotels I've stayed in - Very pleased with the Crewe Central Premier Inn, my room was spotless, large and had a television with the choice of 70 channels. Bathroom was large and you had the choice of taking a bath or using a shower. Man on reception was very friendly and the hotel seems to have got into the Halloween spirit with plenty of Halloween decorations.
Also good, as some hotel restaurants can be poor, was The Brocklebank, the pub restaurant over the road from the Premier Inn. Most meals can be bought for under £15 and while not the most memorable, the portions were decent and the meals we had were well cooked. Also the breakfast that's included in the price gives you the option of a self service continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast, where you select what you want from a list and is served by a waitress. Again this was of a decent standard.
Only issue I had with the Premier Inn was the heating was slow to come on and took half an hour to warm up my room, which isn't very good when the weather is turning cold. Otherwise it's four stars from me.
- philliplI7491EI (8/5): Croydon Purley stay . - Clean hotel , lovely staff especially Marcia in the breakfast room who was really helpful and willing to go above and beyond.
- tomfk1 (4/5): Not one of premier Inn’s finest hotels - Breakfast not up to premier inn usual standards. Coffee machine not working, many pastries run out and the cooked breakfast poor quality. A disappointment considering a premier inn breakfast is something we normally look forward to.
Room also wasn’t that clean, heating not working, window had been left open when we arrived so room cold. Bedding wasn’t especially crisp, beds and pillows not as comfy as most other premier inns we have stayed at.
Glad we didn’t need air conditioning as there wasn’t any.
Nobody at reception when we checked out so couldn’t even talk to anyone about the above.
On the plus side parking was ample and there were plenty of restaurants nearby so we didn’t have to endure the hotel restaurant in the evening.
Not one of Premier Inn’s finest hotels, will not be back to this one.
- Trojan_201769 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Excellent customer service, support and care, rooms and breakfast were great. GREAT experience and restaurant was too notch...
- karenjT8406UQ (10/5): Great breakfast with friendly service - I didn’t stay at the hotel but it is in a good location for the station. I called in for breakfast at the Brocklebank. Was greeted by lovely staff and wonderful service from Tracey, she couldn’t do enough for you and all with a genuine smile. The breakfast was fresh, cooked to order on a Saturday morning. It was hot and all very nice. Would certainly come back here.
- jy2022 (8/5): Stress-free experience overall - We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel location was convenient, walking distance to the bus station.
The lady, Marcia, from their restaurant was attentive and accomodating.
- sonnyt688 (10/5): Excellent - Marcia provided service for my family, very friendly and accommodating for my allergen needs (gluten free). Thanks for having us.
- dalglish07 (8/5): Did the job - We booked as a one night half way stay , whilst travelling to north Aberdeenshire.
The journey should have taken 3.5 hours from Manchester but ended up taking 9.5 hours due to the M6 being fully closed after an accident.
We were glad to eventually reach the hotel and were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff.
The room was up to the usual premier inn standards , the bed was super comfy and after a beer I slept like a log.
The WIFI was flaky, but after our journey I wasn’t too bothered.
The adjoining pub/restaurant was closed for refurbishment and,in the morning ,we were provided with complementary fruit, pastries and coffee for breakfast, which was a nice touch.
The hotel did its job ,for us ,and I would happily use again.
- Steve (8/5): - Safe, clean hotel near Croydon next to fast food places.
- lesleywA4997KI (10/5): The absolute best! - A big shout out to Rene who greeted us on Saturday 27th September! He was so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had an early check-in and the room wasn't quite ready but Rene wasn't phased at all. Even though they were short staffed at the time he did absolutely everything for us with a smile and at speed. He even took my cases to the room. He showed me where everything was and that, if I needed anything, I only had to shout! Also, I think its worth mentioning there were a couple of chambermaids on and they were also very friendly and very helpful. This is one of the nicest Premiers in terms of service I've ever stayed at and we always use Premier wherever we can. Thanks so much Rene and the team 💙
- 956bevw (8/5): Nice Hotel. - Overall the hotel is nice. It’s very clean and the staff are nice and friendly. We stayed here two nights with no problems or complaints whatsoever. However the restaurant attached its terrible we were highly disappointed with the breakfast we never ate there again. It lets the hotel down.
- R3544WDjonathans (10/5): Great staff! - We stayed at the Crewe Central Premier Inn in September 2025, as it was handy for a wedding we were attending in Cheshire. We had a fantastic stay, chiefly due to the staff, all of whom were wonderful. Lucy in the bar/restaurant was great, and René (I think?) on Reception was friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location is right next door to Crewe station.
- Dreamer26817135281 (6/5): Alright - It’s alright. Nothing special. All staff are pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant is dead. Again all staff are nice, it’s just always empty of people and food choices.
- Nonnie2807 (4/5): Awful place - Stayed for one night on business and although I knew the hotel had no air conditioning prior to arrival, I wasn’t prepared for the heat that met me when I walked into room 201.
It was a lovely 26c and increased during my stay to a tropical 28c with the small fan circulating hot air nicely.
The window would only open around 2 inches and the view of the pub opposite was something to behold. Broken fences and empty canisters made it look derelict
The room was next to a door that was constantly being opened and closed throughout my stay and the carpets in the hallways wouldn’t mind a vacuum !
Typical of all Premier Inns at the moment, the WiFi was woeful.
Wouldn’t stay here again as the only positive feature was the EV charging point
Avoid
The bathroom was compact and
- rebeccagG3974DY (2/5): Worst night sleep ever! - There is no air conditioning and it was 28 degrees in the room overnight. The tiny window that opened overlooked a dual carriageway and it was very noisy. The pub to have breakfast smelt musty. Don’t go here - there are other hotels in Glasgow with air conditioning - go there!
- EmilyHendry92 (10/5): Little stopover on way home from doing the NC500 - Fabulous little hotel, love a premier inn and will definately be staying here again in future! Friendly staff, great rooms, great food!
- Jarris76 (10/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly staff and good restaurant for a reasonable price. - Fantastic hotel, friendly staff and brilliant location next to the trains station. I’ll be coming here more frequently in future.
- barrypH1055NX (10/5): An excellent stay and breakfast - An excellent and very comfortable stay. We both had breakfast at the restaurant by the side of the hotel. It was delicious and served quickly. Matt who was on duty couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again
- martin (8/5): - Clean and good location.
However, there is no air conditioner. It was warm on the nights stayed and the little fan did help much. The windows were also chained so they could not open enough to let in the cool air outside. They need to adjust that.
- West155a (10/5): All in all, nice visit - Last minute plans but managed to get booked in. Friendly staff all round. Little out of way from town centre but not too far, easily accessible for train station. Pub was very quiet, but not being open to public, it's to be expected. Did mean got great service.
- Happiness826643 (10/5): Simple, clean, comfortable and great value. - Great location and excellent value for money. Comfortable room. Lovely staff. No problems or complaints at all. Thank you.
- Tomh1279k (10/5): 10 out 10 - Speedy check and help with luggage to my room. Evening meal was very nice. Typical pub grub so good value for money. Room was typical for prem inn but had AC which is always a plus.
- lennonj210 (10/5): Amazing stay, cheap rooms and air con - There was a few of us that stayed as it’s so close to the station and cheaper to stay here and catch a train into Liverpool.
The perks are the staff that I had the pleasure of interacting with and the much needed air con.
The rooms are what you’d expect for premier inn but I was told this site is due for a lot of changes next year, so we look forward to that and we will definitely come back.
- mueeza2025 (10/5): Great hotel and staff. - Darci helped me with everything I needed and was amazing to chat to. Very friendly staff and she made sure my room was spotless.
- JFT96L (4/5): Mixed Bag - Stayed here recently with family for a night. First impressions were good – the ladies on the reception desk were all friendly, polite, and really helpful, which was much appreciated.
The room itself was a bit of a mixed bag. It felt dark and quite dated, but the bathroom was clean and the linen was fresh. Beds were comfy, and I especially liked the glass cups provided – clean and a nice touch. However, the kettle had definitely seen better days and could do with being replaced.
Unfortunately, the lights and electrics near the bed were faulty, which meant no bedside lighting and my phone didn’t charge overnight – frustrating. The carpets were in very poor condition, looking filthy and in need of urgent replacement.
The air conditioning was a saving grace – worked really well and was much needed during a warm night. However, I didn’t like that the windows on the ground floor didn’t open – it made me feel anxious thinking about emergency situations as we were in the middle of the hotel and emergency exits were to the sides.
Parking was available outside the hotel, though most spaces were taken by the time we arrived.
Breakfast the next morning was a real let-down. We were met by a chef with very poor customer service and a rude attitude. Allergy concerns were handled poorly – no fresh cutlery offered, and the allergy information book was practically thrown at me. The food itself was subpar – hot food was either undercooked or overdone, and the continental options were limited and underwhelming. Definitely not what I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn.
To be fair, the lady on the front desk did refund the cost of breakfast, which I appreciated. I was told a manager would follow up with a call, but unfortunately, I never received one which wasn’t the best as it made me feel as though my concerns weren’t taken seriously.
All in all, it was an okay night’s sleep, but the hotel falls well short of the usual Premier Inn standards I’m used to.
- CatherineSAdventures (4/5): Worst Premier Inn Experience For Us - Disappointed by this Premier Inn. Nothing like the previous ones we’ve visited. Staff were fine but the facility needs a lot of TLC. Parking was limited but we did find a space (the last available one). Room 119 was sooo hot it was uncomfortable to sleep in and a concern for our 18month old. The window was open on arrival and there was a desk fan that had been left on in the room but this did nothing. Toilet seat had a urine stain at the front where cleaning hadn’t been carried out thoroughly and the dust on the fire extinguisher in the main corridor was that thick our toddler left a handprint In it when he grabbed it whilst walking past. We only had 1 thin pillow each so we ended up folding them over in half as we normally have 2 each. But the bedding was otherwise comfortable and clean. There was a crack in the ceiling above the shower and the ceiling plaster was becoming damp. At check-in the staff member said the computer was going that slow he was having to do it all on his phone (personal or work phone we don’t know!).
- Wanderer64811135877 (2/5): Worst premier inn ever ever - The room was very outdated and rusty. Noise was constant—I barely slept over three nights. I strongly advise finding another hotel. This is by far the worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in
- wadger1 (10/5): Amazing service - Stayed at this premier inn for the last few months. The staff have been excellent with any requests regarding food or room allocation.. In between this time I was sent to Stepps but as they were not serving food Darci who works at Cumbernauld came to stepps and found me the nearest Premier Inn who was offering food, she also phoned ahead and placed my food order which was above and beyond. I also have to especially mention Karen who has always made sure my table reservations are always made and room allocated to preferred room.
- Sammie-Jo69 (4/5): Worst sleep I've ever had - Firstly, it's not central Crewe - it's by the station, which is about a mile south of the centre. The hotel itself is tiny and has only maybe 20 or so rooms, staff are very helpful but there the good stuff ends. All twin rooms have the pull-out bed which is small and sits right below the window ledge so is bathed in light from sunrise onwards. My room also had an unusual issue with the air conditioning making episodic noises, and the trains were audible once it got to about five in the morning. I genuinely don't think I got two hours. Temperature of the water was also very variable - the same setting on the tap or shower would fluctuate from being too hot to have your hand under to then being so cold you had to turn it back up; this seemed to be worse outside of 'core' hours. Also the breakfast wasn't buffet for hot items which is always frustrating because of the time taken to cook them.
- alexpT208PO (10/5): 5 stars - The staff are so kind and welcoming. Room was big and beds so comfortable and the late check out just topped off a great stay. Would definitely recommend.
- Carlyn2849 (10/5): Reliability as standard. - As always can be relied on to be clean and tidy and rooms to be of same standard, when going to a place unknown, it’s not a bad thing. Loads around to eat or shops if needed.
- pamh763 (8/5): A nice place to lay your head - The Premier Inn is a great value for your money. It is a no frills hotel that is centrally located between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The staff are very friendly and the accommodations are fine. It is near some eating places, a grocery store and about a 25 minute walk to the nearest train station.
- Global63695472578 (10/5): Tracey saved the day - Highly recommended
Cause I'm a guy most of us can't do womans hair had to be right as it was for a wedding but Tracey from reception saved the day . She came and fixed my girlfriends hair . Tracey went above and beyond . Thank you Tracey . She said she is going to learn to do her hair for next time 🤞. We will be back
- E3141SGmariem (10/5): Visiting family - I have stayed at this Premier inn on a few occasions and have always had a lovely nights sleep. It was nice to have a window and not just a/c.
There is no lift. But as of yet it has bothered me.
- joanneaI8329ZJ (10/5): Lovely clean hotel very friendly staff good location for all your needs would stay again reasonable priced and great xxx - Stayed for 1 night with family for the 2 rangers game ideal location everything handy on Saturday 26th July lovely hotel Karen on reception was very nice helpful and chatty would stay again xx
- Maps66544354900 (10/5): Great stay!! - Really enjoyable staff at the Premier Inn Cumbernauld. Rooms although but dated are comfortable enough. Staff very friendly and the restaurant serves a great breakfast. Definitely worth a visit
- N4462FMellenc (4/5): Below average - This is a below average premier inn. To be fair it was the hottest day of the year and they didn’t have air con, so the rooms were boiling hot. We did have fans but it’s just pushed hot air round,
The quality of the rooms are below average - hole in the bathroom wall, curtain falling off its rail. The smoking area is the first thing to great you, at the bottom of the ramp for the entrance so it stinks as you go in.
The evening staff member was lovely but the one as we left in the morning hardly acknowledged us.
I wouldn’t go again.
- ryanoD5050IT (8/5): Local amenities and friendly staff - A great location with plenty of food spots and amenities close by for you to either Travel into Glasgow or simply stay for a stop gap on a long drive, friendly staff and clean rooms are the main points of interest with the staff members giving not only local food recommendations but advising me and my colleague on local events and things to visit whilst in the local area was a real touch of class. Relatively modern interior decor to the rooms makes you stay nice and comfortable with large and comfortable beds in each and every room. The adjoining breakfast is a great selection with fast and friendly service provided throughout our entire one week stay.
Ample parking, which is free of charge for hotel guests is available
If I am ever in the area again for Work or pleasure, I will be definitely staying here as it’s not only live up to expectations but surpass them
- F3034TFdonnam (10/5): Perfect location - Great hotel and friendly staff. Restaurant does the best breakfast with an all you can eat option. The manager Iain is happy to help with any issues and makes you feel welcome. I would recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
- staceyhL6635QT (2/5): Never again! - I have never stayed in a Premier Inn before, but after seeing the adverts I thought I would break up my journey with a stay. Check in was fine, but when getting ready for bed, untucking the quilt the duvet was visible and was disgusting. It looked to be stained with faeces. I went to reception and the lady apologised and went to the room and said she would change the duvet. She did change the sheets but the duvet was replaced with an equally stained one. So it was not a restful night sleep as at this point it was so late I had to sleep without the duvet. I was due to stay there on the way back to break up my journey again, I had paid a non refundable rate, but decided to drive straight home. I couldn't face the thought of staying at this Premier Inn again.
- Dandy70 (10/5): Wonderful stay - Room was perfect. spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and tssty, but for us it was the Staff that made our stay perfect. Reception, housekeeping and Restaurant, every person was super friendly and helpful.
- dav9876 (4/5): Poor - This was stop 1 of 2 on our way from North Wales to Fort William, arriving at around 5pm. You know something is wrong when someone who had just arrived was checking out and receiving a refund, but that may have been another issue.
On entering our family room there was a smell of damp, really unpleasant and the room was very hot, bearing in mind it wasn’t that warm outside.
We had a chat with reception who kindly gave us a fan and fre-breezed the bedroom, it make make it somewhat better but not great and it was too late for us to cancel and find somewhere else to go.
The restaurant that is attached. If you have a child you have to leave by 9:15pm Scottish law which needs communicating somewhere on the web site.
Breakfast you know what you get with a PI.
But again it was chaos, not the fault of the staff at all but only 2 people servicing the whole restaurant, not good enough, Whitbread make more than enough to employ sufficient staff.
Not what I expected from a PI and we’ve stayed in a shed load as a single, couple and family.
Disappointed - but not the fault of the staff they’re just making the best of a poor situation
