Guest Reviews
- Naveed ul (10/5): - Paulina was amazing, she made our day. She looked after us like her own family and cared for my sick children as her own.
- Traveler03885683872 (2/5): Disgusting & BEDBUGS!!! - BEDBUGS!
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Absolutely disgusting and found bed bugs on the bed!!!
Family room so had to change rooms in the middle of the night with children. Horrendous experience
- robertsg70 (10/5): Excellent service - We went in looking to print some documents and the lovely staff helped us as we were unable to find anywhere else in Aldershot. Excellent service 😊
- A9487DUchristinag (10/5): Great stay - Great place, affordable, spotless room and bathroom, comfortable beds, room temperature just right and the noise non existent from outside. So close to Alnwick castle as well.
- 428catalinl (10/5): Amazing - Lovely experience at this hotel.everything was perfect from the room to the staff.thank you all especially Monica, she went above and beyond making my stay easier.
- 396giedriusp (10/5): Amazing check in - Maria was amazing kind and cheerful, showed interest where we from and knew capital city. We came in early and she sort out our room with no problem and super quick to check in.
- darreno334 (10/5): Great staff - Probably the most relaxed Premier Inn that i have stayed in. This review pays credit to the lovely helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return here. Thank you
- Jay-jay149 (10/5): Please give here a try if you're in the area. - Our stay was amazing. Rooms clean, modern and comfortable. A nice place to stay over for an amazing price (£64 for 2 people in twin room) good parking, ev chargers, and breakfast options. We had a fab stay and highly recommend
- Nonnie2807 (10/5): Excellent Stay - Parking is plentiful, albeit you have to pay and register your car and the automated check in was seamless. There is electric charging points (GeniPoint) in the car park 7kw
Stayed in a Premier Plus Room (306) and was clean and in good order. The room overlooked a large Tesco.
Food was good in the small restaurant- booking is essential.
Only negative was breakfast wasn’t ready to be served as advertised at 06:30 and as I had to leave for 06:45 this wasn’t perfect.
Overall good stay
- 812shonab (10/5): A great stay - First time staying at this fairly new PI .Plenty parking ,good base for Alnwick Castle ,gardens,Barter books etc walkable distances for fit enough.Room as expected ,nice cosy bar area .Had breakfast £10.99 for eat everything buffet.Good value ,in other cities its more expensive .Staff at breakfast seemed efficient and polite .Would stay again as good value room £45 on a Monday
- staceysN8858KP (10/5): Great hotel, lovely service from all staff - Our first time staying here. We knew when we booked that the restaurant would be closed due to refurb. We had a few reminders leading up to the stay and then the lovely reception staff made sure we knew too. We had lots of time ahead of staying to research other options in the local area. Being round the back of a huge Tesco with a cafe was super handy! The room was as expected for a PI, we didn't have a shower curtain, not an issue, we requested one on our way to Tesco, and by the time we came bacl it had been fitted for us. We were in a quiet part of the hotel, so had two peaceful nights sleep. We will definitely be staying here again.
- alisterc607 (10/5): A very comfortable hotel - Stayed one night 4th November. On arrival I was greeted by a very helpful girl check in was easy. Down for dinner to be greeted by the same girl. The girl showed me to my table took my order. Another young girl brought my drink, then brought my meal. There was only the two girls working reception, the bar, taking orders and serving, they were the hardest working young girls I have seen in along time, very polite with a smile, you are a credit to the hotel
- 891debbied (8/5): Weekend in Alnwick - Friendly staff on arrival, we were 30 mins early for check in and as we didn’t want to pay extra for an early check in (our room was ready) we parked and walked into Alnwick. Room were as expected. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, the food was nice and plenty of choice (we did the meal deal) but there was just a slight undercurrent of staffing issues / understaffed and service very slow. Hopefully this will improve, it’s the second time of staying here and we would return.
- ebsnewt7 (10/5): Lovely clean and modern Premier Inn so close to Alnwick attractions - A wonderful stay for me and my family. We were visiting Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei. It was so close. The hotel was cosy, my boys loved the purple strip light about the bed, the staff were friendly, and the shower was super hot and powerful. I found the price really reasonable and kids eating free was an added bonus for breakfast. All in all a perfect stay.
- Isembard (4/5): No cleanliness.. - Awful.. I generally am pleased with premier inn, but this was the worst I had stayed in. Considering the building is only 2 years old the cleanliness was awful in particular the bathroom. The towels in the room were ripped.
Food was dreadful, cold stale dried plastic like bacon. Awful.
- Y6051YBmichaele (10/5): Excellent stay at Aldershot - All staff very pleasant and helpful. Room very clean. Excellent parking facilities. Very quiet. Bathroom facilities excellent with plenty of hot water.
- Squeaks93 (10/5): A warm welcome - A lovely welcome from Claire and great service from Paula. Spotlessly clean rooms and a great distance from Oxford. Making our weekend away super convenient. Thank you!
- waynebP5264ZY (10/5): brillant service - thank you to vicky fantanstic service all week ................................................mmmmmmmmmmm.
.
- 794warwickb (10/5): Great stay. - The lady on reception Monica was great, helped me in every way possible to ensure a great stay. I will defiantly return as she made my stay easier. Thank you.
- essexgirl20 (8/5): Premier Inn Alnwick - Booked a Premier Plus room and we were satisfied with the room. Larger bed, fridge with water, coffee machine with pods and walk in shower in the bathroom. Room was clean and comfortable. There is an in house bar and small restaurant. It can get busy so better to book a table in the evening. The food was simple but well cooked and presented. Breakfast was self service and again well cooked with a range of cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurts. Again the staff were pleasant and helpful. We will book again on our next visit to the area.
- Feetstepout (8/5): Good, but sort out the heating - Easily accessible hotel. Modern and clean. Room up to usual standard ( good, basic, comfortable bed, but heating poor. Time lag of 15 minutes in air con working . Similar situation downstairs an significant fluctuations in temperature.
- plusjandd (10/5): Excellent hotel especially as a centre to explore Northumberland. - Easy access, convenient to the town and the rest of Northumberland, superb car parking. Hotel is well maintained, staff very friendly and efficient, room clean and comfortable - air conditioned throughout. Restaurant good with a decent menu, especially for breakfast. Lots of well thought out details showing this is run by an experienced operating company. Well recommended.
- Rodmacs (10/5): Perfect... - Was given upgraded premier plus room and it was fabulous. The food was first class but what made it perfect was the very friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of parking available. We use this when using Newcastle Airport as it's always good, will be back, thank you
- The_5ims (6/5): Could be better but not too bad - Stayed for two nights here whilst visiting Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles and Holy island. Great location for all those if you have a car.
I would say the room was clean but unfortunately I found someone’s old socks on the shelf of the side table!
I took them down to reception and he did apologise.
As others have said the staff are very young, some are really switched on and efficient some are not. Second night they took our order for food and it was quite sometime before she came to say they were out of my dish, so was almost an hour until we got dinner. My cocktail had been made wrongly too, should have had a prosecco shot but it didn’t.
Just some more training needed I think, the staff are really friendly and I don’t know her name but the girl with the long ginger hair was fantastic.
We possibly would return here because it is convenient and cheap, but I don’t want to find dirty socks next time!
- 754emmelinem (2/5): Don’t stay here - I’d seen other bad reviews but thought maybe just bad luck on those guests parts. I won’t stay here again. Restaurant was a joke. Sat there an hour and in the end I left without eating anything and only a glass of water the whole hour, I nearly passed out. Waitress said it was my fault for ordering pizza?!
- wispa9333 (10/5): Autumn break with Storm Amy - Excellent location, just off the A1. Ideal for Alnwick Castle,Bamburgh Castle, Cragside and Lindesfarne to name a few
- Navigate17893090987 (10/5): A pleasant stay after a long day’s work - On arrival to check in the staff greeted us with a friendly smile and were very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and fresh towels were available on request. The service at meal times was excellent and the ladies working the evening meal were very polite and efficient and food was of good quality. And was nice to see that they were supportive of the great Ormond street hospital with a selection of gifts for sale and a tombola for me it was a pleasant stay well done to all
- benwP4221LU (10/5): Really good - Its good lovely beds and showers very comfy and showers are that the quality says very good i loved the showers and the quality of the air con
- 306PaulS306 (10/5): Great weekend away - Wonderful location for exploring Northumberland.
Close to numerous worthwhile tourist attractions, I.e Holy Island, Bambour, Seahouses etc.
Room 1st class and staff very friendly and helpful
- P9435GUpeterc (8/5): Great - Great staff fantastic people great food and great service always there when needed great place to be very accessible good location best premier inn by far for parking and food quality
- robynneh2019 (2/5): Not good - Really bad management. Shouted at by a cleaner saying they will call the police if I don’t leave the room. Despite being placed here by police for domestic abuse. Expensive for what it’s worth.
- MichaelPilling2014 (6/5): Great new facilities - very poor food - Great rooms, parking and staff.
Evening meal was very poor. Many menu items unavailable. The curry was like a watery soup and was sent back. The pizza was a very poor frozen pizza. Breakfast wasn’t up to usual premier standards - poor choice of continental and very average hot food presentation
- Jan5660 (8/5): Premier Inn - The hotel is relatively new and it shows. The staff were very friendly but overworked. The receptionist seems to be expected to run the bar and serve food. Either management or Whitbread need to rethink this. The fire alarm was playing up when we arrived which the receptionist was having to deal with amongst everything else expected of them. The room was clean, comfortable, just what you expect from Premier Inn.
- Connector827031 (10/5): A Gem of a place to stay ALNWICK - My husband x I have used premier inns for many years and eric is a retired tour guide so knows best places to stay for value I am fussy about cleanliness and good value for money .
I can say without a doubt Alnwick premier inn is without reservation exceptional in every way .
Service standards especially helpfulness of staff nothing is ever too much of problem Toni was amazing girl professional standards of hygiene knowledge of menus and service quick and served with smile always checking you were happy with your meal .Dan was also very helpful .The chef asked how liked food cooked if meat again service amazing .
The premier rooms were clean hypnos bed so comfy and everything g you'd ever need .even bottled water in fridge .the only criticism was carpet looked tired maybe a vax wash needed if you want Great holiday this place is one NOT TO BE MISSED the duty manager kept show going endlessly dedicated member of great team .I would say this inn is as good as any 4 star hotel in few cities ives stopped in Thankyou for great memory of a beautiful place that's ALNWICK Northumberland .
- jonpluta (10/5): Lovely Receptionist - Lovely location, under maintenance but its a nice building, nice room and nice smoking garden!
Lovely receptionist Celeste, went above and beyond to help out!
Would recommend.
- A3836UVts (4/5): Stay if you just want a good night's sleep - 2 star at best. Welcome not the best all automated and we was not asked for our vehicle reg we had paid. We had issues with the temperature in the room and had to keep going back as the panel was locked so couldnt change. Dusty bathroom and mold round shower. Had the meal deal and when finished was questioned do you have anything to pay or are you on meal deal. Said meal deal assuming be paid automatically. Got a knock at the door in the room after to pay. Which we did. Went to brekkie. No juice place was a mess no one tidying breakfast areas. 1 slice of bread left only filled wen asked. 1 crumpet and 2 pancakes. Rock hard and burnt hot food. We got a refund and went to Tesco. Bargain fresh and tasty. Wont be back and wish the female staff would crack a smile too.
- Z7812SWcallumb (8/5): A perfect stopover on our trip. - The room was nice and clean, and as always, the bed was super comfortable. The automated check-in process was super easy to use. Overall the full facility was in good condition.
- titusa226 (10/5): This iscan excellent hotel, I will not hesitate to recommend - Excellent service from Vish, he is very friendly and responded to enquiries with smiles, his customer engagement is topnotch
- Lamby1980 (6/5): Very average - Good location.
Reception never manned which is a bit of a pain. You always have to ring the bell for assistance. But they do come out quickly.
Room hadn't been cleaned properly and there was rubbish under the bed. However the bed was comfortable.
Shower area was dirty. Lots of grime considering how new the hotel is.
Breakfast was fairly good. Plenty for me as a vegetarian although you do have to ask for the hot food but that appears standard across all PIs I've stayed in.
- mikehE9163LD (10/5): Superb staff especially Bella a real asset to the business - A wonderful experience, Bella could not have done more for us . We arrived late and we had booked the wrong room. She did a fantastic job off sorting out a problem we had created, she is a true asset to the company
- Garymason25 (10/5): Fabulous - "Our stay was fantastic. The room were spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We especially loved the complimentary breakfast—it was a great start to our day. We'll definitely be back!"
- Shadowland_12 (4/5): Not worth the Premier Prices (Premier Inn Charge) - I was expecting a clean, decent room.. As I paid premier prices for the 2 nights I stayed at this location.
I was totally surprised by the dirty, tired rooms, that were given to me, did complain, but didn't really get anywhere.
(am still thinking of approaching WhitBread HQ)
- samanthak983 (10/5): Great stay at this hotel. - We had a great first stay at a Premier Inn in Alnwick. There was a great size car park, where you had to sign in when you get in the hotel. The man on reception was very welcoming and efficient. Our room on the first floor was of a good size, the bed was a king size and so comfortable. The bathroom was a good size it included a bath with a shower, I’m on the small size, it was a struggle getting out of the bath side, it was on the high side. This is a new hotel, everything in the room was spotlessly clean and sparkling.
We had a great sleep, there was no noise from neighbouring rooms or people walking along the corridor or outside.
We were only there overnight so never used any of the amenities.
We thought the hotel was good value for money and will definitely use Premier Inn again.
- JLH22 (10/5): High Quality Premier Inn - We stayed in a twin room and found the single bed to be comfier than most Premier Inn twin rooms. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was great and we would stay again.
- simondS9684WB (10/5): Breast customer service - Great customer service, can’t do enough for you, really enjoyable experience
George has been brilliant as all the staff have
- P9099RGfrancisr (2/5): Parking - Stayed weekend 22/08/25 for 3 nights and have stayed here on previous occasions without any problems . Today (08/08/25) I received 2 parking fines for dates over this weekend even though our details were put into the automated machine. My Wife telephoned the hotel several times this morning and when it was eventually answered it appeared the phone was just put down.
- A7377GBjayh (2/5): Rip off - Hidden parking fine.
Avoid this place.
I can accept that it's under staffed.
I can accept that it's not the Hilton.
I can accept that not everything is tip top.
I can't accept that no one tells you to pay for parking here and then you get a £60 fine in the post.
Simply stealing money to charge for parking in a motel and not inform the guests.
- Fangio53 (6/5): One night stay. - There have been a lot of negative reviews about this hotel. On the plus side we found it to be clean and the evening meal was good.
On the negative side you have to pay for parking which is ridiculous and I had to pay for the meal rather than it being put on the room. With any decent hotel you pay when you check out.
- sim0namarianaf (10/5): A short but amazing stay - Everything was great. I had an amazing breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. Friendly and amazing staff
- jeremysB6525FZ (4/5): Business user that stays there often - It's just a basic overnight stay and if you get the rooms at the end next to the roundabout traffic noise keeps you awake all night.
For the price there are so many better hotels although sadly not in this location.
It's not like the advert. my pillowcase never properly covers the pillow on the inside. the duvet cover is open at the end, which is not hygienic, but I suspect make changing the bed easier for staff.
Its reasonably clean and not terrible but for the price you would expect much more.
- M5571YGcolinb (8/5): Hotel experience - Convenient placed hotel next to Tesco superstore and other stores. Hotel clean with friendly staff. My only criticism was walking through smokers at front entrance.
- vikkimcguire82 (10/5): Friendly place to stay - Lovely place to stay, very friendly staff, all within good walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and the town centre.
- RobLeeDavies (10/5): Great location - I had a fantastic stay at this Premier Inn. The location is ideal, just a short walk into Aldershot, which made getting around really easy. The hotel itself was spotless, and my room was both spacious and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax. I really appreciated the complimentary breakfast provided during the building works – such a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference. The team here clearly cares about their guests, and it showed it. Thank you!
- Z8689QRzachc (4/5): disappointing - i am pretty appalled with this hotel when we finally got keys for the room it smelled like a hospital. no proper shower and a tiny tv… But across the road my mum is staying in one of there other rooms it has a massive tv, a fan and a proper bathroom. our bed was as squeaky and the water in the taps in the bathroom was the only available place to get water and it taste horrible and to add salt to the wound there is no restaurant. and on top of all of that none of the bedside plug sockets worked whatsoever and they have no working heaters or aircon so all together very disappointing
- alisonaK539RX (10/5): Great hotel, shame about the building work! - The hotel staff and rooms are great. Front desk reception staff are really friendly and welcoming and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. Just as you would expect from Premier Inn. At the moment, the hotel is going through extensive renovation, which includes the restaurant, however I was warned of this in advance and a very (carb heavy!) breakfast was provided for me. It's a 10 minute walk to the town center, which is exactly what I want.
- Sharan (4/5): - No ac
- paulbF707KV (10/5): Great Team! - I have stayed in this hotel every week since the start of the year. The staff are all great and remember me every time. This personal touch is greatly appreciated and the hotel is always clean and quiet. Monica looked after me today and always has a smile on her face and gives a warm welcome. The whole team are great though, cannot fault them! A credit to Premier Inn!
- angelwingsinsync (10/5): Always good to know a clean, spacious room and comfy bed awaits. - My elderly mum and I enjoyed our four night stay at Premier Inn Aldershot in a spacious twin room with extra comfy beds and an opening window for fresh air, with tree views. The large bathroom was clean and modern. There was plenty of light and mirrors and heavy curtains to close at night to sleep. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovations but we went next door to Tesco and had a lovely breakfast at the cafe every morning. There were a variety of restaurants in walking distance to have dinner when needed.
- milsiep2021 (10/5): - Thank you Vish, my 3rd stay here, and you have gone far and beyond to make us welcome 🤗 amazing customer services and I hope you get noted for this😎
- X9552YAdavel (4/5): Check the Restaurant before you book the hotel - Stayed here for 5 nights. Was unaware that the restaurant was under refurbishment (questionable as I haven’t seen a workman anywhere the entire time I’ve been here). Complimentary breakfast was a piece of fruit and a pastry. Coffee machine in the foyer is out of order although there is tea/coffee in the rooms. Try and avoid odd numbered rooms as you will hear traffic ALL night (room was too hot to have the windows closed). Lots of boy racers tearing up the road directly outside the window. Take your own toilet roll as the supplied stuff is pretty much just tissue paper!
- Gr3d (10/5): Comfortable - Second time we have stayed here, perfect location and comfortable rooms, close to food and drink too
Thank you to the whole team
- 0sangamg (10/5): Would recommend - Very friendly receptionist, Maria. She was very accommodating with all my requests and the room are very cosy. Free parking is a plus too
