We was made welcome by Ray and nothing was too much for him , he really was genuine and kind to us. We had a lovely breakfast over looking the water and canal boats. lots of coffee choice and fresh yoghurt,fruit and pastry’s thankyou to mario for been very generous and kind to us. We will definitely be back ! a super duo these 2. These are staff that are excellent at hospitality and a credit to to the hotel.

• Traveler529420 (10/5): Absolutely perfect - From start to finish the experience was brilliant,top hotel in Huddersfield and a perfect breakfast with high standards and very high standard of customer service,just want to mention Ray who welcomed us in where we had breakfast was top notch he was really friendly and very welcoming.Ray is a credit to your establishment and next year we will be staying here again.
• Toontraveller29 (10/5): This one’s for Jordan and the other staff! - The 5* rating is simply based on customer service. Place needs a good refurb, and the restaurant menu needs an overhaul with limited options and not the best tasting food, but service good. Big shout out to Jordan on reception who is down to earth and really goes out of his way to help you! I had issues with my room on several occasions and each time he was quick to help and nothing too much trouble. He’s a real star! Cheers pal! Also a mention about the other staff - they are attentive and friendly and the majority greet you with a smile on their face. Especially the young lad serving breakfast. Top notch.

Would never visit again after witnessing him throwing out a pensioner after she had paid for the whole weekend. And she checked she was allowed her service animal with her otherwise she wouldn't have booked. Absolutely disgusting and heartless. I will never use a premier inn again
• RobButler (2/5): Avoid. This hotel has 'gone downhill' very fast. - Used to be great here, sadly now very poor and cannot recommend. Curt, disinterested staff (they used to be great here), sub-Premier-Inn-standard room. Cigarette hole burns in curtains, mould and filthy floored bathroom with disintegrating mirror and chipped bath. Appallingly bad tiny and tinny TV. Very below-par breakfast, dried up baked beans, rubbery eggs, soapy-tasting sausages, only half decent coffee nearly saved the day. £7 to park per night when it used to be free (didn't see any mention of a parking fee when we made the reservation). All in, a very poor show. Won't be staying here again. Avoid!
• jjU8218DM (2/5): Soso - Room was very hot to say it was October big black stain on side couch god knows what it was but the room was clean otherwise the reason for my one star review was the woman on reception called Lauren she was very rude and miserable in the morning made me feel like I was an inconvenience with it being the morning shift maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the bed very unprofessional
• Drop_n_Bear (2/5): Poor condition. Avoid. Staff and breakfast were the only positives. - Poorly maintained. Air of depression. Simply avoid until it’s had a refurbishment or deep clean. Lift out of service. Curtains burnt and broken. Bathroom grime ridden. Location good for city and The Deep. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast fair. Even so, the condition of the rooms is SO poor they can’t improve the rating. It’s truly awful for a premier inn. The staff deserve a proper asset to work in, not this.
• 969aidanh (10/5): The best staff I've seen in ANY Premier Inn! - Ray - Jordan - David. Truly a credit to the hotel and restaurant and all legends in their own way. While the building seems in desperate need of a refurb - the staff make up for it and the building is still adequate. After informing Ray about a small issue in my room - he was right on it! Arranging the remediation immediately and having the issue solved before I had returned! Legend. Some of these trips get a bit dull on an evening - Jordan is the remedy! Down to earth, chatty, kind, and helpful. An absolute credit to this hotel and a perfect host. And then genuine passion - David appears to really love his job and it shows in the quality of service and dedication to helping out across the board. Your effort doesn't go unnoticed. Expectations are never super high at a Premier Inn but the staff here make all the difference and create a genuinely nice atmosphere after a long day! Props to the hotel manager for having such a great team and for the overall quality of my stay! Hopefully I'll be back soon! **more draught options would be great**
• jacquio473 (10/5): Would highly recommend - My partner & I stayed here for a night. The room was lovely, clean & tidy, tea & coffee, very comfortable bed & a nice bath & shower. When we first checked in on Sunday 2nd November evening the guy on the desk was friendly, polite & helpful (didn’t get his name). The following morning we had breakfast fruit, cereal, tea, coffee & full English which was delicious 😋 the 2 waiters Ray & Mario were so friendly, polite & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for either of them 😊

• donnamsmith48 (10/5): Warm friendly welcome - The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and well kept and although we didn't eat in this time we have before and it was always delicious and hot out of the kitchen.
• laurahQ189ZI (2/5): AVIOD - Worse hotel I've stayed in the rooms are basic and not very clean, some of lights didn't work. The heating didn't work so we had to use a plugin radiator which did nothing unless you was next to it. The fan for the heating kept making a strange noise through the night waking me up afew times. The TV was just rested on a shelf thought it was going to fall off. The bathroom was the worse part, the toilet seat has not been cleaned from last guest it had brown stains on, I had to clean it and you don't go away spend £145 to be cleaning. The shower was the worse part, taps full of soap scum and lime scale. The sink taps were the same. They had a soap bottle next to sink and 1 in shower that was full of soap scum at top clearly not cleaned and that was it no complimentary shampoo etc. also no cup next to sink for rinsing teeth, only shelf in there was bang above the toilet (I don't like keeping my toothbrush next to toilet). The toilet paper was cheap thin stuff that's comes out 1 square at a time. We paid for breakfast that wasn't worth the price. All breakfast was self server which was fine bit the cooked breakfast was warm not hot and the continental breakfast was all shop bought pastries and cold and slightly stale, the fruits were afew berries and dry orange piece's, the bananas were all brown. The coffee machines had good selection but was warm so couldn't drink it. Aviod the bar if you don't want to be ill, my husband and a pint of Carling and he said it tasted funny, thought it was just that one so he had a pint of cruzcampo and he said that's tasted worse as of the pipes had been cleaned out for a while, that night he was up being sick ( wasn't anything he ate cause we had the same and I was fine I had bottle of j2o) so that just ruined our 1 night we get away from the children. The rooms are nothing like pictures but beds are comfy The only positive about this hotel is the staff friendly and helpful.
• moggy17 (8/5): Perfect for a weekend with the family - We've stayed here a few times now as it's the perfect location for a trip to the deep and into the town and old town / musum quarter as well as only being a short walk to the marina! The staff have always been really friendly and welcoming and great with the kids. The breakfast is always plentiful and well cooked. The rooms are clean and comfy. Parking is 7 per night and on site so saves having to mess about looking for somewhere else as you can just leave your car and walk!

• marionandsally (10/5): Big comfy bed - Visited Huddersfield for the International Crisp Festival at The Sportsman Beerhouse and The County - both great pubs, and we needed accommodation. Booked The Premier Inn in the city centre for convenience. The room was perfectly adequate. The highlight was the bed - really big, and really comfy. Super clean bedding. Slept really well (but did need ear plags yo block traffic noise). Overall a great break away.

The staff were brilliant. A special shout out for Jordan as promised but disappointed with the hotel. We chose it as it was convenient for the town and our friends.

The room fab we especially loved the at the waterways HOT unlike our local one at Beverly where they set the water to a set temp it's lue warm! Staff very friendly! Breakfast was ok. Thanks for lovely stay!
• W5920TGgeorgew (6/5): Could be a lot better with some improvements. - Stayed for 2 nights, dinner, bed, and breakfast, food was good, on a saver deal, but there are too many hidden costs or upgrades. On inspection, I was overcharged on 3 items. The general condition of the dining area is poor and in need of an upgrade. My room was basic, and the bathroom facilities were very poor, with no water pressure, so I couldn't take a shower or bath, as it would have taken hours to fill a bath, and the shower was totally useless. I also paid £5 for the upgraded WiFi, which did not work. I was told it was the fault of Virgin as they were about to change over contracts, was told they would refund me, but so far not received it. In general, the staff were all very pleasant.
• M8063JWtomr (4/5): Only time I’ve been disappointed by a Premier Inn stay. - The only disappointing stay I have ever had at a premier inn. I upgraded to a premier plus room but the facilities were poor. It was certainly not worth any extra cost. The water pressure in the shower made it almost unusable. I have never had a problem with normal showers. The wind made such a loud noise, presumably through an ill-fitting plastic strip on the window as it stopped when it was held firmly against the glass, that I couldn’t sleep. Very disappointing.

• TheHemsey (8/5): Tired decor but lovely staff - A group of us has a very pleasant stay. The rooms are clean, uncluttered and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. Shout out to Ray, Evie and Mario at breakfast for sorting out breakfast and being friendly and attentive.

I’ve just stayed for three nights at this Premier Inn. - Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jordan who works behind reception. I was given the key and the room was ok but I had one problem. I forgot to ask for easy access to a bath or if possible a walk in shower. So I went downstairs and spoke to Jordan. I can’t remember the exact time but it was early evening. Anyway, I explained that I’m an old man (88) and could he help me as it’s my fault that I forgot to ask for easier access. He took my room number, said he would see what he could do. I half unpacked not living in hope. Two hours later a knock came on my door. It was Jordan who said, ‘we’ve been able to find you a better room and it’s on a lower floor.’ Jordan even helped me take all my clothes and suitcase downstairs. So Jordan you have my thanks and appreciation.

• STEVENH175 (6/5): Standards are slipping - Typical chain Hotel thankfully was only there for one night. Have stayed in far better PIs. Situated in a great place and convenient fir restersunrs in town. No hot buffet at breakfast but food cooked to order. Which creates a problem, you either end up with old real fast or cold toast. The bedroom was ok but the TV was old and small maybe 20” and situated inconveniently if you wanted to use it for business as an extra monitor Would I stay again no. Premier Inn your standards are slipping
• bobmW8255PK (2/5): Hotel needs a severe overhaul - I have been staying at this Premier Inn every other month for the past 10-15 years and this is the first time i have had an cause for complaint. On arrival we were booked in to our assigned accessible room (room 4). When we entered the room we were astounded to see the condition of the room - Bed not made up, dirty towels strewn across the bed and bathroom, the bin was full and overflowing and there was a lot of debris across the floor. The bathroom was dirty and the sink was full of dirty tepid water. When i went to the reception to report it, the receptionist looked at the cleaning rota and although she apologised as she thought it had been done, she immediately spotted what had happened. it took about 35-40 minutes to find another room but this was on the first floor (109) and was not an accessible room. On entering this room it was without tea/coffee & there was no fan in the room (this hotel has not air conditioning and all rooms have fans). we retrieved one from the original room but when i picked it up (with the receptionist there) it came apart in my hands!!! On the first morning we decided to have breakfast and that turned out to be a mistake also - the food was cold and had been out for a while. I asked if i could just have coffee and toast and was told i could only pay for a cooked breakfast!! I paid and when i asked for a refund as i felt the food was not acceptable i was not offered anything other than an apology!!

Even left her a little something on the bed for her birthday, which made her stay even better. Breakfast was wonderful all hot food, would definitely recommend!!
• grahamdN4087AW (10/5): A really pleasant surprise ! - Excellent Hotel, perfectly placed in the City Centre with possibly the best view of the Sun Setting over the Estuary / City Skyline I've ever seen. Really warm Hull Hospitality, and a terrific Breakfast to boot. A visit to the Deep was also surprisingly worth the money, (so much so we went twice!.) Will surely be staying here again, next time I'm in the North.

• LoweDB (10/5): Great location for Huddersfield - Great location by the canal if you fancy a leisurely walk, and very handy for 5 minute walk into the town centre. Got a room at a great price considering it was a Bank Holiday weekend. Staff member Jorden is a real credit to the company. Really friendly and helpful. When he wasn't on reception he was helping residents with directions, or recommendations for places to eat and visit. At one point we even saw him carrying out repairs to the decking and walkway outside!!! He's a star!!
• Nez19M (2/5): Appauling really - As nice as this place may seem, as nice as the staff can be. There is ONE dark thing about this place and that is, if you want a beer from the thier pub, you can FORGET it. They only have 1 beer on tap, that's Madri (yuk), so if you do fancy a beer you'd be better off popping to Sainsbury's next door and getting your own. Oh and the meals are not that great either, we went a mile out up to Mother Hubbard's for fish & chips.
• 684tonyz (4/5): Hot, humid, noisy, and a trickle of a shower. - We stayed for two nights to go to a wedding in the area. We stay at premier inns a lot and will keep staying for the value-for-money and comfort but this particular hotel was a big let down for us. The room was humid and warm (this was not during a heatwave) and poorly ventilated. In fairness to them they did equip an electric fan in the room but honestly an air con was desperately needed. This really affected our sleep quality during the night. The corridors also had a pungent smell like urine or vomit, unpleasant to open our door to first thing in the morning. Our windows were not soundproof enough either and we could hear loud music and traffic outside through the night. Also, being on the top floor our water pressure from the shower was very disappointing. Well below their usual standards and much worse than our own shower at home. Overall this was a poor stay, will look elsewhere for options if we ever come back to Hull again.

And Evie and Raymondo provide an amazing breakfast. Jess in the barfive star! What a shame that the whole fabric is looking tired, time to spend a little more on maintenance. But still very good

Thanks to the lady in front reception for making us feel welcome. The man in the restaurant who provided us with a larger table to accommodate other family members even though it was extremely busy.

Sweating the whole 2 nights and for the price we paid this is definitely not good enough. Musky smell throughout the hotel and our room. Massively overpriced!
• pjb8033 (4/5): so so HOT - Would have been higher if the room wasn't hotter than the Sahara. Staff very pleasant, rooms are a bit dated, and single sheet toilet roll dispensers do not ooze luxury. Location was almost perfect for my requirements though, plenty of loving places to eat and relax nearby. Its probably a sign of the times that as Brits, we expect to have air con to accommodate for the average of 2 days a year we actually need it. But it would be a worthwhile consideration when a much needed renovation is next scheduled.

We had a great experience from booking in with the reception staff to lovely comfy rooms to having breakfast & evening meals. All of the staff were extremely friendly & smiley. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel
• jodiedS1200SV (2/5): Felt like a youth club - The room was unbelievably hot due to being on the top floor. The minimal gap in the window allowed a small amount of air to circulate. The fan was inadequate, broken and made a clicking noise on every rotation. Unfortunately it was a very warm weekend, but the hotel doesn't have air con? There was about 10-15 children running wild throughout the day ans until atleast 2am in the morning. Knocking doors and running away. This was discussed with the receptionist and she explained there was a boxing event and she had asked parents to controll their children. Not tbe greatest of attitudes toward the situation.
• judithw20 (10/5): A really great stay - Once again, we had a great stay at Hull North. The hotel is ideally located for visiting family. It’s very comfortable, plenty of parking (which is free to hotel guests), everything was tidy and in working order and has great bus links. The food in the Beefeater was well cooked, with everything available. Huge thanks to everyone who made our stay so good: To Lauren, for allocating us the same room that we stayed in last time; To Lorraine & Addy on Reception for helping with our requests for a sheet, extra towels & so on and for sorting out our shareholder breakfasts; To all the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed some great meals & great service; To every member of staff that we came in contact with.
• nerdj2025 (2/5): Terrible - cleanliness / temperature / wifi / room design - Cleanliness: I was going two stars until this - condom wrapper under the sofa killed it for me. Disgusting and no excuse. None. Not the only rubbish not hoovered/collected up. Bed sheet marked in multiple places. Unacceptable. Bin is sticky and manky in the bottom. Corners of the bathroom need mopping. Clearly given a once-over and nothing more. Dirty brown marks on bathroom wall need a wipe. Temperature: Outside world hit 23 today. Hotel room is 28 and refusing to drop. Windows don't open more than 2 inches. Fan does nothing. WiFi: 0.3 Megabits per second download speed. Refusing to pay £5 for 8x faster because it would still be terrible. When the room is £120 without breakfast you'd at least expect some wifi. Room: No charger near the head of the bed is a 1990s design that should have been resolved sometime since mobile phone's where invented. Just not good. At all.
• 1947grump (6/5): Let down being badly in need of redecoration - Lovely staff Inside tired Outside a complete disgrace-looked like a derelict prison. Paint peeling off timber and walls. Walls badly stained Adjacent Beefeater the same
• Robbriggs1 (4/5): Slightly disappointed. - I don’t like giving negative reviews but feel it’s probably needed. Firstly, our room was tired. Not at the usual PI standard. Breakfast wasn’t upto the usual standard also. Plenty of choice but the cooked breakfast wasn’t great on both mornings. We couldn’t be seated for dinner one evening so went across to Riva Blu which was blooming lovely! Lastly, the service at the bar area was bordering on comical and wasn’t busy at all whilst we were there. Serving people took forever and no order in who was being served- there were only 2-3 stood waiting…for a long time. Car park with litter in the surroundings. We come to this hotel 1-2 a year but may have a rethink.
• jackieb987 (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely clean place staff very friendly breakfast very nice slept very well location is good lovely retail Park pub on site meals all day too 😀 pricing good too also cinema bowling and loads of eating places near by. Walking distance too also free parking ideal
• DonnyDeepakDinakaran (10/5): Addy&Darrien - Darrien reminds me of how I will turn out in the future. When I was waiting for a chore, he treated me to his workking lifestory! It was awexuding and it was classically humility filled. Addy and I were able to click because we were at wavelength
