Guest Reviews
- evied775 (10/5): Extremely comfortable! - Visited recently and it was amazing! The vibes are immaculate and the reception staff are extremely helpful. I was helped by Louise on the front desk. Lovely girl and very polite. I will be visiting again as the rooms are extremely comfortable :) xxx
- josiew827 (8/5): Basic but comfortable - We had a comfortable 1 night stay here. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfy! Bathroom wasn’t amazing, but it was what you’d expect from a premier inn. There’s a miller and carter directly next door which was really handy after a long drive! Breakfast was fab, I think it was around £10 each for unlimited hot breakfast and couldn’t fault it. Staff were friendly. Vending machine in reception was a bit steep, £2.70 for a small bottle of water!
- C7378FAcharless (10/5): Good place to stay. - Had a quiet good night's sleep Excellent breakfast served by Thalita, who was so helpful. Parking easy and adjacent to A Carter and Miller steak house which is also very good.
- H9611LCkeithf (8/5): Clean, quiet sand comfortable stay - Warm welcome on arrival. Basic room but very clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Surprisingly good breakfast.
- 512ix (10/5): 🥰 - I’ve never ever been the guy at the reception was very nice on arrival the bed was lush to I slept really well enjoyed the bath the morning staff at breakfast was very polite and happy food was yummy we really enjoyed it and defo go again on our visits
- jessicarE8387LG (4/5): Zero sleep, terrible. - Our room wasn't clean, there were sick or some sort of awful looking liquid all down the side of the wall and skirting board beside the bed. We paid over £90 for a one night stay and all we could hear all night were the fans outside. They go off around 5.30am - they're super loud so if you actually want to sleep here, you'd have to close the window and suffocate. We had the worst night sleep with such a busy day after so wasn't pleased at all. Parking is horrendous we were lucky to find a spot to park after driving round 3 times. The carpets are really worn and feel dirty, it's very tired and has a fusty smell throughout the whole building including the room. Will not be returning. Gutted as we paid nearly £90 for our room and over £80 for my family's rooms, we didn't get our money's worth at all. The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast. Worst nights sleep ever. This place will be taking in thousands too as loads stay here for harry potter tour, like ourselves. Yet they haven't updated anything there. Carpets are disgusting, stains up the walls, loud fans outside keeping you up all night, no air con yet the prices reflect a higher expectation. Disgusted.
- X2774KApault (10/5): Great bed, great bfast, great staff - Mark was an absolutely superb host making sure the vegetarians in our group were catered for. Professional and helpful to the 8th degree and a total credit to the company. Hotel was spotless , room and bed were beautifully comfortable. The only observation was a slight musty smell in the corridors, maybe time to deep clean the carpets? Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, went back for more! Thanks to all the staff. We'll definitely be back.
- terryly2025 (8/5): First time here would stay again a little longer - Only had a short stay of 2 nights, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were pleasant, unfortunately heard the room above (creaking floorboards). On the upside we would like to mention Hasna and the other lady (whose name we didn't get) who looked after the breakfast shift. We have always had good breakfasts at Premier Inns, but my husband and I feel it's the staff that make it enjoyable and these 2 ladies did that.
- trevorpD8263XQ (10/5): Harry Potter Weekend Stay. - Parkinson and Ivers Family, we stayed one night before going to Harry Potter tour. Excellent location just down road for Harry Potter.
Staff friendly and informative about everything. Very welcoming.
Excellent sleep just like adverts and good cooked breakfast.
Made our weekend. Thank you to all staff.
- richarda17 (8/5): Standard Premier Inn hotel. Nothing special - Standard Premier Inn, not sure why the accessible room for people with mobility issues was so far down the corridor of rooms. Surely it should be near the exit.
We were in the annex on Monday when the fire alarm was tested without warning. There was a sign in the main reception apparently but not the annex.
Comfortable bed, decent room. Rubbish WiFi
- Y5847JRsamh (10/5): Fab location and friendly team - Lovely friendly check in team and breakfast team had everything we needed and great location for the HP Studios tour - free car parking also a nice bonus
- gregoryscat (8/5): Convenient and comfortable. - The usual Premier Inn room with comfortable bed and just enough of what you need for a pleasant stay. About 10 minutes from the central station and with plenty of restaurants within minutes, this is a reasonably priced and convenient place to stay. Breakfast offered enough choices to please most people with hot and cold options. Unfortunately during my three breakfasts here, some items were not replenished quickly enough leaving empty dishes and people waiting for refills. That said, the quality was good and the staff were friendly and helpful and the waits were not too long. My only disappointment was that our bedroom room faced into ‘a courtyard’ type arrangement with rooms looking directly into each other. It made the room dark and we also did not want to open the curtains and put on the light as we were closely overlooked. As we spent only a small time in the room it was relatively easily managed and clearly not something the hotel had any control over.
- Adventure43792751923 (10/5): Matilda's review - I love the experience it was really nice the beds were comfy and me and my brother I've got a separate bed breakfast was so yummy we loved all the food and drink the members were very nice and kind. The only downside was the room smelled a bit musty and it wasn't like the other premiere and we've been to that had purple lights but the bed but it was amazing we had a fantastic spirit it even had fun and the hair dryer it had everything even a massive TV and their toilet was amazing the sink was a little bit dodgy if you lifted it up too high the water would spare everywhere so be careful if you have used room one two three the shower was beautiful I had a go in there and it was quite nice there's a Tesco's quite near and we had some food at a nearby restaurant called Oscar's pizza we stayed here after we went to Harry potter studio tour which we also really enjoyed
- 904sallyv (10/5): Everything excellent - A warm welcome from the reception.
The rooms are a perfect size for our family. Beds comfy and clean room.
The breakfast staff Gary and Thalita are super. They are very attentive and kind nothing is too much trouble. Food was plentiful and fresh. Nice job! Highly recommend.
- Old_Waspy (10/5): Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel - I stayed here in a standard room for 3 nights. It was much as expected for a Premier Inn, a decent size with a reasonable amount of storage, TV, coffee making etc. The place was showing some signs of age. Very comfortable bed. Bedside power was just a single USB socket, but there were 3 pin sockets available elsewhere. A big fan was provided as substitute air conditioning. The shower was in a deep bath, difficult if you have mobility issues. No lift, but there are accessible rooms which you need to book in advance. There was no noise from adjacent rooms. There is ample free parking. A nice buffet breakfast is served in the hotel (includes full English). A Miller & Carter restaurant (fairly expensive, but excellent) is collocated on site. The village centre with pubs, restaurants and shops is just 5 minutes walk. A comfortable, reasonably priced hotel, I would happily stay again.
- 531benjyw (10/5): Amazing Hotel !! - We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August and then decided to return again at the end of summer because of how amazing this stay was! The hotel is located 5 min walk from the train station and 10 min from the centre of town. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. But what really made this hotel was the staff for us, especially Akeni-John (hope this is spelt correctly) who went above and beyond in both visits to make us feel so welcome. They even remembered us on the second stay and welcomed us home. Absolutely the heart of the hotel! Would 100% stay again and recommend to all! Well done!
- ronniecE972WS (10/5): Convenient and friendly - The location of this hotel is perfect for Harry Potter fans with Warner Bros studios being a very short drive away.
We had a spacious double room however there were lots of families too. Service is very polite and friendly, and parking is free of charge.
Breakfast is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended for the price.
- 315rajatv (10/5): Lovely place - “A lovely hotel with wonderful staff! The rooms were spotless, the reception was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made my stay very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone
- sammysA229TD (10/5): Very happy with our stay - We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to Warner Bros studios as it's only a few minutes drive away.
Exceptional service in the breakfast room by the wonderful Gary - in fact all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking is free and there is a Miller & Carter next door if feeling like a cocktail or two.
Rooms were clean and spacious, and would return.
- 191beckyl (10/5): A*** - Lovely Hotel, great stay, beautiful breakfast, location was perfect for our needs and all staff were very warm and welcoming.
- amratlalp2025 (6/5): Premier Inn Kettering. - Clean room allocated in Annex Building. Needed airing as it had stale smell
and smell like ex-smokers room. Should have Air freshener or aired.
This was acceptable stay but not 'Premier Inn' standard for the amount paid.
Would try different places in Kettering in future.
- dawnmI7453NV (8/5): Good location and comfortable stay. - Great location for Warner Bros Studios, took us under 10 mins to drive there on Saturday morning. Friendly staff and comfortable room, although a little more attention could have been given to cleaning of the floor. Bed sheets and bathroom both clean. Nice breakfast. I think it was good value for what we paid (75 including breakfast) and perfect for a quick stop over before an early morning trip to the Harry Potter tour. Plenty of parking, we didn’t see any problems with security of parking as mentioned in an earlier review. The hotel does share a car park with neighbouring Miller and Carter restaurant but we had no problems getting a space around the back, arriving at 8pm on a Friday. Very friendly guy on check in reassured us they have security cameras around the whole car park. We would stay again if visiting HP Tour.
- mandf2015 (10/5): Overnight stay with Breakfast. - Excellent Premier Inn. The staff on Reception were so welcoming. They offered to assist us as my husband is Severely sight impaired. They also gave the children an activity pack. The room was very clean and tidy and we had a lot of room for the 4 of us. Beds were very comfy. The Breakfast in the morning had everything you can imagine ( the children loved the Nutella on toast).
- Dondon1961 (10/5): Overall stay - Stayed here visiting for a family wedding. All the staff were marvelous from top down. A special thank you to receptionist Saahd what a absolutely lovely young man, made us all so welcome nothing we asked was a problem. Had elderly mum with us and everyone was so kind.
The only negative was a disabled room which didn't have walk in shower for her, but a bath ( couldn't get in).
Whole hotel was spotless and the breakfast and staff in breakfast room wow.....
Thank you all for a lovely stay.
- mandj1986 (6/5): Nice location poor standard of cleanliness - Didn’t expect dirty pillows
Checked in ok we were put in the annex which was not a problem, the room was clean but only 1 set of towels for 2 people but when we opened the bed got the two extra pillows both were soiled with old makeup not a good sight
- helenrA6376QF (2/5): Premier Inn can no longer market themselves on a good night's sleep. - This Premier Inn has changed it's bed sizes and no longer provides comfortable beds that promote a good night's sleep. Firstly, it is helpful to know that all their 6ft beds have been changed for standard double beds, as confirmed by hotel reception staff. I booked a twin room and was expecting both beds to be at least standard width of 3ft and normal height for an adult. This was not the case. One of the beds was a small 2ft 6 inch bed, low to the ground. Suitable only for a child. I queried whether or not I had been given a twin room or a family room, as the other bed was a standard double. The receptionist confirmed that all of their twin rooms had one small bed, as described. In addition to the size, the mattress was soft and unsupportive and the bed sloped down on one side.
The room was clean and quiet.
- N6211AZheathera (6/5): Rundown but good location - Great location for us. Staff very good always. The hotel is tired. Some room facilities do not work. Needs a refurb. Bed comfortable.
- lisaaQ2770FP (4/5): Great staff shake the hotel needs some TLC - Staff friendly & welcoming, lots of parking, breakfast great choice all fresh & hot!
Room smelt funny and felt damp, mould in bathroom! Had a fan in room which was broken! Window didn’t open!
- Y44MFbeatab (10/5): I recommend it - I recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, easy check in. The room was clean and quiet. Good food in restaurant. I will definitely come back here.
- vinsalak2025 (10/5): Amazing - I had a really good stay due to the staff, they were brilliant! I stayed with my husband and young children who were offered activity books on arrival. The whole experience was a good one, I will definitely choose to stay again.
- jjamesD9672ZN (2/5): Over priced - Hot stuffy room. Very poor 2 nights sleep. No A/C and badly in need of it. Bathroom outdated. Female member of bar staff on the Tuesday night (19th August) indifferent and off hand. Had to ask twice for a white wine bottle cooler which she slammed on the bar. Over priced for such a budget hotel.
- TeeJay2010 (8/5): Great base 5 min walk from station - Room was as expected for Premier Inn Plus, coffee machine, fridge, power shower, great firm bed with plug/USB/wireless charging either side of the headboard. Clean and tidy throughout, newly refurbished some attention to detail missed (skirting boards not fitted properly - didn't affect the stay at all).
The best thing about this place was the staff, couldn't fault them. Animatta (Anni) who worked on reception and also at the bar was exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble. Even when she couldn't accommodate us (no replacement water each day like Premier Inn in the UK) she took time to explain. 'Communication is the key' she said and she was right. Anything she could do was done with a smile. Thanks for looking after us.
- DigitalPlumber1 (8/5): We need to talk about accessibility - Lovely welcome at reception after walk from the main train station that had, shall we say, some interesting characters. I can imagine it would be a bit sketchy in the dark, but on the plus side it's eight mins from the platforms.
Booked a prem plus room and it was a good side, nicely appointed and the cold water, chocs etc were welcome.
I don't know where premier inn Germany are getting their beds but most hotels they feel really thin and already knackered. This is a new hotel so far as I can see, so it's the bed design bit wear. Have had the same in a few PI in Germany like Essen, Hamburg and Düsseldorf
The thing we need to talk about though is accessibility. This is an old building converted to a hotel and there are steep steps everywhere and the lifts in the second building where we are stop between levels. So you have to walk up or down a very steep flight of stairs. Not ideal with luggage or if you have mobility issues.
Oh, the internet seemed a bit slow which was weird for a city centre.
But it wasn't mad expensive for where it is to the staff are nice and to arrive late and leave early for a train it seems ideal.
- Voyage35218409330 (6/5): Alan Partridge - Completely standard business /contractor travel hotel eg: Alan Partridge travel tavern from 1990s.
Only difference is Tesla not Rovers in the car park.
- J6167VJrebeccak (10/5): Kettering Premier inn - Upon arrival staff at reception were amazing and very attentive.
Being there with my little ones was very hectic but staff were extremely calm and patient and got us to our room in no time.
Happy with our stay would be an understatement, will definitely be staying here again.
-ps the free WiFi upgrade was a big bonus! :D
- terrymQ1912YY (6/5): Too hot in the rooms - Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. BUT couldn't sleep for the 2 nights we were there due to the temperature in the rooms. They definately need to start fitting air conditioning in the rooms. With these heat waves becomming more frequent it is needed.
- Billy23_9 (6/5): Average - This was a one night stay after a funeral, to save driving home in the rush hour. Tried Trivargo for the first time, but it just diverted me to the hotels own website. Paid £100 for one room. Check in very good, and appreciated the offer of a sheet because of the warm weather.
Room as expected. Free wi-fi very poor. TV sound quality poor (make recognisable by the remote, but no makers name on set or remote). Only one large towel between two. No air on, which we knew at booking, but they did provide a fan as well as the sheet. No bottle of water.
- Leonardrossiter1974 (2/5): Just wow - So. Stayed on business. Business deal with food plus breakfast. Firstly front desk staff. Great. The hotel. It is situated 3 metres from the A14. Thundering traffic. Constant. I went in June. In a heatwave. My room at midnight was 26.5 degrees. I'd cool it down but your windows are locked shut and the fan was broke. Despite the business rate 'parking is not guaranteed'. That's reassuring on the side of a motorway. You need to book that on arrival. WiFi. That's a chargeable extra.. There is 'free' WiFi. All I'll say is 'connected without Internet' was the feature of my stay.. They outsource that so ring Virgin media at your cost etc.... So the business deal comes with a meal at the pub 'Brewers fayre' which is located between the reception and 2 and 3 other parts of your hotel adjacent to the A14. Again the one member of staff was truly amazing.. Genuinely. He was irked as only 1 of the 3 tills worked. Also he was the only guy at the time and I was in a queue of 8. Sounded like some quiz night. Anyway.. The meal deal. Allows for a drink, starter and main.. It was absolutely awful. Not one part of the meal felt anything other than reheated microwaved gruel. When the plate is scorching and your hideous side coleslaw salad is steaming then....
- P8872UAdavidn (10/5): Great place to stay - Great hotel excellent staff members on the reception today yara and Esther where amazing would happily stay here again
- E4977AQmb (8/5): It's the Premier Inn isn't it? - What can I say that hasn't already been said about Premier Inn?
Spacious rooms with comfy beds....Although NOT as comfy as they used to be for some reason?!
Like any chain, some are a little better than others,a little fresher,or a little more modern....This one is pretty much in the middle, not the most modern, but definitely not the 'tired' end of the scale.
Tea/coffee making facilities✔️
Shower/bath combo✔️
1 plug socket by the bed,but a few on the side by the kettle
Room 1 is pretty much directly behind the reception area,so there was quite a bit of door opening/closing action going on,and this was around 1am,so be aware of that when booking, but all things said and done,a decent room.
I travel quite a bit for my work,so a lot of the time I'm literally just checking in around midnight, and leaving again in the morning,so didn't really have chance to get a feel for the room,if I was staying in there all day,but great for what I needed.
Keep being you Premier Inn,and please don't ever change.
- jordanmB1613CT (10/5): Good stay - Clean comfy stay. Only bad point is my room had been freshly painted and the smell of paint is still very overwhelming (room 10 main building) desk reception was very pleasant and warming - 2 young ladies with excellent professionalism -Esther & inga thankyou for the warm welcome
- RCox (10/5): Great stopover, super clean, helpful friendly staff - Stayed here to visit family. Excellent staff, super helpful and friendly. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Bed was super comfy, room had huge tv with smart connection. It is near a busy road, so some traffic. Ear plugs sorted that, and worth it for the quick and easy connections. Wifi is slow (even on the upgraded 'faster' wifi) but could still manage downloads and get some work done. Premier Inn head office should sort the wifi issue. Overall, a superb stay and we'll be coming here again.
- 220kristoferh (10/5): Short stay - Had a really great stay at this premier Inn, all the facilities you could need with good food and comfortable rooms. Reception staff were really helpful and welcoming especially Inga. Thank you for a wonderful short stay and would definitely recommend.
- Janey123a (10/5): One of the best premier inns we’ve stayed in. - Always love this hotel.
Great place to stay if you’re visiting Santa Pod, Silverstone, Drayton Manor, we’ve even stayed here midway between our trip up to Alton Towers. Lovely staff. Clean bedrooms and the usual comfy beds. The fan in the room is a nice idea for the hotter months. Love that you can help yourself to more tea and milk in the reception.
We did a meal deal which includes dinner, drink and breakfast next morning. Good value, food was excellent at dinner and was served quickly.
Breakfast next morning was so much better than our local Premier Inn. Hot food available on the buffet (in our local we have to order everything except toast and you can never time cooking your toast to match when the food comes out so your food usually ends up getting cold!). Fresh croissants, pastries, crumpets, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, something for everyone.
Highly recommended.
- U7362RHdaniellep (6/5): A clean place to stay, good location - Fresh new hotel, however only one lift in the building, and that was out of order for our stay and we were on the top floor. Thank goodness I didn't have my disabled daughter with me on this trip, as we were not informed before we arrived.
Our room was smaller than most premier inns, and smaller than the other cologne city sud hotel we have stayed at before. But the facilities were brand new, was fine for a stop gap and somewhere to sleep that was clean and comfortable, but if you're claustrophobic, this might not be for you. There was also a gap around the door when closed and locked which showed the light in the hallway into the room.
Location was good, couldn't hear the busy road outside. Staff were few and far between but they were super helpful in letting us leave suitcases before and after check out with a luggage check tag.
- smiths273 (6/5): Nice hotel but not good housekeeping - Hotel is clean, staff friendly and hotel is close to the cathedral so short walk to the markets and city
Stayed Monday to Friday and the room wasn't cleaned or towels changed until we asked and if we hadn't asked wouldn't have been done until we left
