Guest Reviews
- Gonzolongo (6/5): Team very friendly, but it could all do with a bit of an update - I was here on a business trip for a couple of nights. The reception team were always friendly, the rooms were clean, and spacious. The only negatives were that it did seem slightly dated. A simple refurb of the stair case would help with initial impressions. The only other issue was a slight damp smell. Next door there is a restaurant/ pub. Again the team were very friendly, service was quick and food was ok. Like the hotel, it could just do with some TLC as it also felt a bit dated.
- Rammieuk (6/5): Needing a refresh - Getting tired needs a refurb
Great reception and bar area staff happy to help and great attitude however rooms now getting tired and needing a refresh
- V2131GOlindsayg (10/5): Great Service! - Very attentive service from Sam, helpful with choice of menu and drinks.
Nice atmosphere and table was cleared in good time and drinks were replenished as soon as needed.
Overall a very pleasant evening with great service, many thanks for looking after us so well Sam!
- phoebegrace10 (10/5): Comfy, clean, good area. - Lovely area with the quay view. Pretty good walking distance for tram and small shops. Really clean and comfy and great staff.
- benmX4324PU (10/5): Happy to stay defo come bk again as stayed many times befor - Very warm welcome friendly staff and ambrin could not do a nuth to help us n make sure we happy wile being on a very busy shift .10/10 very nice staff made a dull day a lot better
- johnfG7322TF (10/5): Great definitely come again - Had a lovely time in the Premier Inn with ambrin as our host for our meal this evening. Great personality and warm welcome .
- H3008QAlouisef (10/5): Education trip - Great location lovely hotel
Rooms are very comfortable
Restaurant staff are excellent, friendly
& knowledgeable
Special thank you to waitress Ambrin very nice & professional waitress
- U6082ZQsuem (6/5): Overnight shopping stay - Premier Inn provides what you would expect but there is less staff interaction when booking in, I used the self service check in as I felt I was being heavily prompted in that direction from the emails/msgs I received beforehand and there wasn't any staff in the reception area when I arrived. Apart from ordering drinks and a few nibbles in the evening my staff interaction would have been minimal, the bar staff were good.
I only ordered a few small plates as I know from experience the food is very much a frozen/fried menu.
I did have a very big niggle though, wifi, Premier Inn have deemed it ok to provide a weaker intermittent wifi in the hope you will pay an extra five pounds for the ultimate wifi, for ninety five pounds I expect a decent wifi connection.
- Emwalm (10/5): Great experience - We were served by Ambrin and she was lovely. She recommended some foods and asked if we were happy with our food. The atmosphere was great with a good selection of foods.
- U8398ALrobh (10/5): Great service . 5* service - Great location 100 yards from shopping centre. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. Fantastic value for money. Fast / easy check in.
Good food and fantastic service at the restaurant “Thanks Ambrin”
- melissamW9164BG (10/5): Brilliant - Stayed in this hotel a couple of times now, great location and lovely staff. Ambrin in the restaurant was very friendly and polite
- kellyhR7RF (10/5): Highly recommended - We stayed at the premier Inn and was going to eat at the Trafford centre nandos for our evening meal but decided to stay in the restaurant and eat, we were so pleased we did, we are served by Ambrin, what an absolute delight, very nice and friendly couldn't do enough for us and so chatty, was very nice to have a waitress stop and talk to us they are normally so busy they don't get time, she is a credit to the restaurant, thankyou x
- LadyMeliss (6/5): Grime at its finest - Came here for a one night stay and I wasn’t impressed . The room was extremely run down stains on the sofa chipped sideboard and not a reflective of the cost we paid for one night. We also had the breakfast added on! Well this was an eye opener to say the least kids running around cultures and plates sticky and dirty. The food was barely edible even when they brought fresh eggs and bacon out it wasn’t even luke warm. This place needs a revamp and the some new lamps on the food warmer !
- J3163JKoliviah (10/5): Amazing experience - Amazing staff and facilities felt very welcomed and looked after. Will definitely use the hotel again. Thank you to everyone
- christinelI291NV (10/5): Night out - Arrived Thursday teatime checking very fast girl behind desk very nice professional explained everything clean room defo stay again
- 244kianw (10/5): Denton hotel - Location was easy to find. The staff are welcoming and easy to talk if u need help. The room was very warm and nice but could have had AC just to cool the room down.
- ThatFoodGuy1 (4/5): Won’t be booking again - We come to Manchester every year for Xmas shopping, we normally stay in this hotel, however after this year, this will be changing. We paid for early check in (driving from Glasgow ) we got here at 10:30am, our check in was at 11am. We were the only ones checking in at that time and had to wait for the server to finish what he was doing on the computer (around 10 mins) So we tried our luck and was told not we would need to wait the 30 mins. (Which was fine) we paid for a premier plus room. When we entered the room. The room was frozen, the heating element wouldn’t work. We went to the reception who told us that it was probably just on the wrong setting. So we went out and came back to find a plug in oil heater in our room as the aircon/heating wasn’t working. Not even a note to say this is why the heater was left. Also the hot water in the sink doesn’t work either. For a premier plus room it’s rather basic. Wasn’t even offered another room. As we were popping out later that day. We also heard another guests room still had “panty liners in the bin and urine in the toilet pan”. For the price £328 + £15 early check in, it really isn’t worth it.
- hannahgT8358LD (10/5): Helpful staff! - I’ve stayed at the Old Trafford Premier Inn many times and it’s always been a comfortable, hassle-free experience. During my most recent visit, Bruce at reception was exceptionally helpful and really went out of his way to assist me. Thank you!
- P1591TCrebeccag (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend this hotel - Bed and pillows were rock hard not comfortable at all, if you’re someone who likes keeping warm and not freezing then I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as we stayed here for 3 nights and was absolutely freezing! Was up and down the lift all night asking them to sort the heating out as the heater was blowing out freezing cold air and got told that it’s an old building so the heating doesn’t work at night! Then they gave us a heater which didn’t work either and when room service cleaned the room they left the window open which made it 1000 times colder. Also when we were packing to come home we noticed one of our bags were missing so we addressed the situation with the staff and they done an investigation of 5 minutes which then we found the bag inside one of our other bags which was zipped up so the room service actually went into our personal belongings to place the bag inside which they had no right to open our personal belongings. After this situation we went down to the bar and the staff were talking about the situation and looking at us which therefore they were talking behind our backs and 1 member of staff got her phone out and took photos of me and my partner which again is invision of privacy they shouldn’t have their phone out on shift let alone take photos of customers! The breakfast was a bit stale as if it had been sat overnight, was standing there for half hour waiting for toast to toast in the toaster and there was no plates. After this breakfast me and my partner had a very bad stomach all day which indicates the food wasn’t prepared as it should’ve been. Not to mention you have to pay to park in the car park of this hotel which paying customers shouldn’t have to do as we paid over £400 for this stay! Will be making a formal complaint about our stay at the hotel and won’t be staying here again and wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.
- chriscD6980DZ (10/5): Comfortable and convenient stay at Manchester Trafford - Can't knock a Premier Inn, rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped, beds are really comfortable, and the breakfast is always spot on. Even though the Trafford Premier Inn is large and busy, the hotel bar and lounge area still felt chill and the staff were really attentive. And a stones throw from the Trafford Centre, which was perfect for our shopping trip.
- tomtA1629ZB (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend this hotel!! - Spent 3 nights constantly cold with no heating , asked for room service and belongings were moved and misplaced. Staff were rude and mouthing about us behind our backs and when addressed to staff they denied it when could be seen and heard by everyone. I spoke to Sam - front floor staff about belongings misplaced and he got straight to resolving the problem and was very concerned and helpful overall terrible experience and won’t be staying here again. Didn’t pay £400 to freeze and be spoken to like rubbish especially as a paying customer I’m absolutely disgusted in this establishment.
- D9115BOstephens (10/5): Premier Inn Salford Quays - Lovely stay. Quiet and relaxing location. Standard room that was clean and satisfactory. The bed was so comfortable. Special call out to reception staff who were very friendly and helpful, especially Katarina. Thanks for a nice stay
- DayTrip00217695928 (2/5): Overall disappointing - Pillows too hard and too big. Smell of sewage in bathroom. Window was broken, stains on carpet and curtains. Fridge didn't work, overall cleanliness was below average in the rooms.
- E7430XBsusant (10/5): Great break - We had a great stay to say it was a Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable and warm.
Staff were great couldn't fault them. Food was good too.
- L2975TJpamk (2/5): Poor experience - just want your money (regular at Premier Inn) - worst experience - Room was not cleaned - pillow had a large blood stain (just an apology given), 10 mins to be checked in. the mop used to clean the room bathroom must have not been washed for hours.
- mrsbp2023 (4/5): Needs a deep cleaned especially room 330! - Locations great! The atmosphere in the hotel is brilliant! The staff who were working behind the bar on Friday 31st October were all great people who were very friendly and helpful and they tended your every need.
We stayed in the Premier Plus room 330. Only two pillows so we had to ask for more as they thought that we had some in our wardrobes. Towels were not soft and fluffy but very hard. We had to ask for more towels too. The soaps needed topping up as there was hardly anything in the bottles. The shower mastic has not been cleaned for a long time as it was very mouldy with black mould. The bed was squeaky and the mattress sunk in the middle. We should have claimed our money back as we never had a great night sleep at all. This needs changing ASAP.
We believe that this room hasn’t been used for a while and you could see this. The floor wasn’t hoovered properly and the furniture was a little dusty. The coffee maker was full of mould ! So we couldn’t use it. The Premier Unlimited WiFi didn’t work well which then became a complete waste of our time.
The hotel corridor was quiet ! The service from the staff was great but the amenities that are provided should be provided for all of your customers. The rooms need to be deep cleaned regularly and replenished bathroom facilities also need to be replaced regularly too.
Hotel could do with a deep cleaned as the cutlery in the restaurant was dirty also. This could be a great hotel but it needs to be cleaned and you need more staff present at your busier times. We wanted to discuss our stay with a member of staff but they were all very busy.
- R712VYsamv (2/5): Worst experience of a Premier Inn I’ve ever had - Terrible check in machine with 1 disinterested member of staff behind the bar. Dirty room - toe nails in the bathroom, dirt on the floor. Huge queue for breakfast and took 20 minutes to get seated and not in the restaurant, in the bar by the front door in a draft. Another huge queue for food and they had no plates or bowls and were bringing them out in 2s and 3s (they had obviously run out). Hardly any food, really slow to replenish. 2 of 4 fruit juices empty, 2 of the cereals missing, frozen bread, slowest toaster on the planet. Absent staff! Only 1 pillow each in the room so had to go and get another one, fair enough, but left stood waiting for 10 minutes while they tried to find one, they couldn’t, had to wait another 15 minutes while they brought one up to the room. Then had the cheek to charge for parking.
Overall worst experience of a Premier Inn I’ve had. On this basis I would never return but lucky I’ve been to fantastic hotels within the chain elsewhere.
- O4332OPvanessas (10/5): Great location for families and Co Op live - We stayed as a family of 7 in 2 rooms for an amazing £90 for 1 night which included breakfast as we booked before 1st September.
Myself and 2 older daughters were going to see Benson Boone on Sunday 26th October. Very convenient location for Co Op live. Breakfast was superb and the hotel was quiet. Would definitely stay again for any future events at the Arena.
- katrinapU4924IR (8/5): Half term stay - Great location, discount for parking available, the rooms were clean and tidy the staff are friendly and helpful ,however the hotel could do with a refresh it’s looking tired some of the ceiling tiles in corridor were loose and cracked and looks like there may have been a leak at some point. Unfortunately the noise from the room above disrupted our sleep very heavy walking on and off all night. Didn’t feel safe either the room doors the lock didn’t feel secure even if it was locked The breakfast was lovely and located in the beefeater next door. We would stay again however we feel that the rooms need modernising and re decorated.
- Liz196 (10/5): Good footy hotel - Pleasant hotel with comfy bedroom and reasonable bathroom with excellent shower facilities and near to Old Trafford to watch the soccer!
- susanfB30XA (6/5): Ok, but definite room security issue - Reasonable stay. Check-in was easy.
Have to pay for parking at £10 per day (with a premier inn discount) - wasn’t aware of this at the time of booking.
Room was a bit tired and in need of a freshen up, but it was comfortable.
Major issue we had was another guest was able to gain access to our room while we were in bed during our last evening. The guest apologised and was a genuine mistake, however the way the lady at the desk dealt with it wasn’t the best. She said she couldn’t understand how it could possibly happen as there is only one key card allocated to our room. I explained that I understood that, yet someone was still able to gain access. She just said she would look in to it but I was offered no apology.
- Christletonian (10/5): Arrival was excellent as Karina was efficient, helpful and kind, making car park payment and meal selection very easy. - Karina was very kind and helpful making car park payment and meal selection very easy. Room pleasant, clean and comfortable.
- alisonmxo (10/5): Great stay - Our go-to hotel in the outskirts of Manchester. Love this Premier Inn and always a pleasant stay. Staff are always great. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. No doubt we'll be back again!
- winstonl357 (10/5): Great hotel. - Great hotel close to Manchester City. Room was clean and tidy. Quiet. Sufficient parking. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
- PeterC143 (8/5): Lovely hotel - let down by air conditioning - Thde hotel is in a lovely position (especially if you have a Premier Plus room). Staff, comfort of the bed and cleanliness are all excellent, as alsways . However, air conditioning. The air conditioning in our room was not very effective. We found the same last time we stayed at Salford Quays. It did not cool the room down as effectively as other Premier Inns (despite an available lower than usual setting of 17 degrees, which was definitely never achieved. The air conditioning switched itself off every 6 hours, meaning we woke in the night feeling very hot and had to turn it back on again. Last time we stayed there it switched itself off every two hours and we were told 'that's what it's designed to do'. Please sort out this problem - you have a lovely hotel at Salford Quays which is being badly let down by the air conditioning.
- LydiaCarlisle (8/5): Convenient, clean and cheap - You know what to expect when you go to a Premier Inn. The room was clean, We had breakfast next door. Only 10 minutes walk to The Lowry where we were seeing a show. Would use again.
Got train into Manchester then got the tram.
- christinetubby (10/5): Really enjoyed it. - Excellent friendly service. Rooms were nice and clean
Restaurant food was fantastic. Location was great for the belle Vue speedway which is where we.were going.
- territ756 (10/5): Great hotel and location - We arrived at the hotel much earlier than we planned to and parked up. Asked at reception if there was the chance of early check in, we were asked to come back in an hour or so which was no problem. Upon our return we checked in early - the guy we saw on both occasions was friendly and welcoming and was doing his best to get us in as early as possible. The room itself was lovely and clean with plenty of extra pillows, tea and coffee etc. We were in and out a lot but every time we went by reception we were spoken to and asked how we were, we felt very welcome - thank you to all staff we encountered!
- W9828SKmarcins (10/5): Great stay. - Been here many times and this is best Premier Inn I have ever stayed. Clean, friendly staff.Reception 24/7
Professional service.
- sorat710 (10/5): Basic hotel but clean - This is just a basic hotel, but it had what I needed. Bed (really comfortable), private bathroom with a really nice shower over the bath and a kettle with as many coffee and tea that you want as you can take it from reception. Basic and a bit dated but clean and with everything you need. Free car park is a plus this days.
The lady on reception was so friendly and welcoming, I think she was call Roger.
- StewartB243 (6/5): Rip off pricing structure. - Convenient location. Good comfortable rooms with easy check in and checkout. On site car park for additional payment.
What spoilt it was the cost. I acknowledge I paid for early check in and a flexible rate but £243 for 1 night in a Premier Inn is outrageous. They are not alone in ripping people off just because there is a football match on though. If they were I would have gone somewhere else. It was 3 times more to stay on a Saturday night than on Sunday. Rip off Britain indeed.
- gs969 (6/5): Good room, but filthy dirty outside the hotel - Great room, good location relatively close to the metrolink and media city.
However, directly outside of the hotel (and the adjacent beefeater restaurant) was filthy. It’s like walking was like an ashtray with cigarette butts everywhere. This was really off putting, and looked disgusting.
This hotel needs to do better.
- joehL9553MJ (2/5): Worst ever stay - Food was spot on parking was great. Room was disgusting dust empty wrapper under the bed. I was bitten all up my legs and groin. Room was to hot wouldn't turn down I even asked lady in reception and she said she would sort heating and never did. I told her I was bitten and she said nothing she can do as they was full. There was no apology just I dont know was all I got. Was the worse night I have ever stayed and I have stayed there before and never had that issue. What a diabolical stay and reception you should be ashamed of ur self's!
- yasrat2020 (10/5): This premier in hotel was located in a nice area and it had a restaurant right next to it which was perfect for a meal - We was travelling for a concert in Manchester and this premier in hotel was the nearest place to satay for 2 days. Upon our arrival the receptionist Yazz was very welcoming and she checked us in early.
- ditsydorah (8/5): Functional but reception staff could be warmer - I would describe this hotel as functional. We paid for a Premier Inn Plus room and it was worth paying for. Very spacious, which we needed as we were getting ready for a wedding. The room was clean including the bathroom, no sign of mould or anything in the bathroom it definitely seemed that there was an effort to keep it clean. We looked out over the waterfront which was great as there was watersports going on both days. Staff on reception could have been warmer. On our second night when we came back in we weren’t acknowledged at all which felt uncomfortable. We also weren’t asked if we enjoyed our stay when we left. Breakfast had lots of options and the cooked choices were made quickly. I did notice food under one of the tables on the first morning and then a fork under a table on the second day. I’m assuming just dropped from that morning. The car park was busy. We managed to get a space outside the hotel, we arrived at around tea time. If you got there later you might end up in the overflow, it was adjacent though so not far. Certainly a handy option for a hotel if you are down at Salford Quays.
- Lezley7 (10/5): lovely place to stay, we will go back - lovely hotel, quiet, clean and friendly, excellent location and a very nice breakfast.
a very relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of life.
- ianpP6749CE (4/5): Disappointed - The wi-if was very poor & the pub attached to the hotel ( Beefeater) closed at 10:15pm on a Friday night & while we sat outside finishing our drinks several people want a drink but unfortunately the door was locked
- P92XJmels (10/5): Premier plus, Salford Quays a must! - Fabulous hotel, we picked a premier plus room, with a stunning view of Salford quays and Old Trafford. Breakfast was great and like the idea in this premier inn that the food is made fresh to order rather than left out for you to help yourself (less waste). The breakfast was served in the upstairs restaurant of the adjacent Beefeater. We chose to eat for our evening meal there too and I can honestly say that the food was excellent! We arrived by car and was alright, as car park was relatively empty, but the only small thing to note is that the car park is on the small size to service both Premier Inn and Beefeater. It still doesn’t detract from my 5 point score
- carolcG5411LF (10/5): Fabulous hotel - Omg what a beautiful setting, lovely staff, clean and super easy to find and get to other places. Loved staying here u really didn't want to leave
- TrailBlazer548882 (10/5): Excellent customer service - Thanks to Levon our stay in July was wonderful. This booking was a base for my birthday celebrations with my husband, and upon arrival there had been some issues with our online booking (dates etc). This problem was solved by Levon and quickly rectified so that my birthday celebrations could go ahead. Levon’s high level customer service skills ensured the whole process was dealt with smoothly and with a positive disposition. We have stayed at the hotel many times and would highly recommend it.
- D4315VOianb (4/5): I would not return to this hotel or Salford - The rooms were tired just about acceptable for one night . The whole hotel needs some TLC and the outside . It would appear that no one cares heads up and walk on by .
I have to say the Salford Keys was very much the same grubby !
The only thing I could say positive about the hotel it was in a good location
- Y6526HPpaulm (10/5): Great weekend - Usual high standard of Premier Inn.
Room clean and well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Right next to Brewers Fayre pub for food.
- DavidL184 (10/5): Very Enjoyable Stay - Very enjoyable night's stay.
Room very comfortable (great given the hot temperatures).
Staff are always helpful - lovely lady on reception when we arrived and great service from the breakfast team in the pub - thanks to Eva, Nick and Pete.
- 839Rach (8/5): Travel stay - The rooms are clean, very helpful and friendly housekeeping staff.
Lovely location with view across the quay.
The tables in the beefeater could do with a clean ( in between users) The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It's a fairly standard quality for a premier inn. I just wish other people would move around their rooms and the corridors quietly. I was woken by shouting and door slamming at around 10pm (this was a Tuesday night) and again by someone in the room above, with concrete shoes doing river dance at 7am.
- rubyw775 (10/5): Lovely staff - The staff were lovely, incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially Katie who welcomed me at reception id recommend to my family when they travel to Denton, thank you
- 319archiea (6/5): 1 night stay - It was 19 pounds a bargain for a overnight stay however there was 3 of us in the room and was to hot maybe invest in upgrading the ac or more powerful fans the Brewster was a good place to eat I had a delicious pizza and for dessert ice-cream Sunday I would say good for one night but no more
- andrewappleton2999 (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Stayed here the 13th of July for 1 night during that heat wave so rooms were realy warm but staff raced to get us another fan, very friendly staff iys a bit ran down but got a good night's sleep so cant fault it
- V6958AUh (8/5): Lovely stay but air con needed - Our family had a lovely stay here, it is well placed to explore Manchester and if visiting the arenas. The rooms are very clean, apart from a fan which was incredible dusty. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have air con and the room stayed at 27-29 degrees. They must be aware as a fan was on when we arrived. The adjacent pub was nice and friendly, we had a gorgeous lunch for £5 each. We didn’t enjoy breakfast too much but there was a fair selection. The reception has an expensive vending machine but behind the counter they sell snacks and cold drinks with the money going to charity. These were very reasonably priced and we loved the idea of this. Our room was right next to the carpark so a little noisy at night but it didn’t disturb us for too long.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely revisit and recommend
- B1225OIjudithm (10/5): Excellent my second visit will definitely return - Friendly service, clean rooms and restaurant, excellent service and facilities. WiFi available, TV shower, bathe hairdryer extra tea , coffee and milk available at all times for the rooms in reception. Can't fault it.
- jamescL4312AG (10/5): Scottish Couple: flying from Manchester Airport - The staff were excellent, it was an exceptionally hot day in July and the staff had a fan running in the room to cool it for our arrival. The staff were super friendly and professional, the bath was great, and the bed was sooooo comfy, we gad a great sleep - flying out early the next day it was only 18 miles from Manchester Airport - so we arrived relaxed and ready to start our holiday. We booked the breakfast - exceptional - so much, cooked fresh to order, and the management well it was like we had known them for years. All I can say is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, 12 out of 10; thank you and we will see you again next year.
