Guest Reviews
- F4767NTkevinb (4/5): Car got stolen - My car got stolen from the car park. CCTV captured it all but due to GDPR rules staff were not allowed to give me any details. The area has had this problem for some time.
- ferrickbryan05 (8/5): Great weekend stay - Overall brilliant stay at premier inn, az always. Booked their premier plus rooms which was beatiful. Only disapointment was shower, preassure was awful.
- WorkGlobeTrotter (2/5): Not worth going back. - Extremely poor and not at all a very nice hotel. They need, better service in hotel, better room quality. They had the washing machines and driers running at 11pm! Couldn't get to sleep. The rooms were never cleaned and serviced! They require better heating in the room as it was very cold. They need better restaurant food, extremely poor with slow service.
- vixt2016 (8/5): Great stay - Hotel very convenient next to the DLR station. Supermarket over the road. Restaurant was lovely & staff welcoming. Would recommend this hotel. We stayed here to go to the o2.
- Passenger14192453659 (6/5): Premier not so cheap for an extension - I booked this on the day I stayed, £60, checked in at 15:00
Was considering extending to a second night but the price had shot up to £96. I stayed with a competitor the second night for £55.
- Y9543BYellies (10/5): Great stay ! - I had an amazing experience at the east mayne location. Room was nice and clean. Staff were polite, friendly and had great customer service. Above and beyond from the team there. Many other premier inns could learn from them!
- paulaA6800FW (10/5): Good visit - Lovely clean room, staff were really friendly and helpful. Check in and out was seamless.
Breakfast had a good selection.
- 148sahandr (10/5): Everything in the room was spotless, and the bed sheets were crisp and as white as snow. - Everything in the room was spotless, and the bed sheets were crisp and as white as snow.Thank you for your services………….
- imogenb664 (10/5): Premier Inn - Business Stay - I’ve been staying at this hotel for business since May 25, and it has been an excellent experience. The hotel is ideal for business travelers — the rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are consistently friendly and professional, always making sure guests feel welcome.
A special mention goes to Leigh at reception, she is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always greets guests with a warm smile. Her welcoming attitude and cheerful personality make me feel right at home, even when I’m away for work. She’s always happy to answer any questions and ensures every stay is smooth and pleasant.
Overall, this hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service — highly recommended for anyone traveling on business.
- andysV5694VC (10/5): Good location, excellent staff - There are two more Premier Inns in the area that I haven’t used but I’m very pleased that I chose this particular Inn. Quite easy to find and situated in what seems a quiet area and close to where I needed to be. Room smaller than some but very clean and brightly lit. Up to date walk in shower. Best aspect was the extremely pleasant receptionist, Leigh, who really couldn’t have been more welcoming and was very helpful when I needed to arrange transport. Doubt I’ll ever visit Basildon again but the hotel will at least be a pleasant memory.
- paulwQ5799BQ (10/5): Great customer service - Great service on check in Leigh was exceptional.
Really efficient and helpful, way up and beyond returning my car keys when carelessly leaving them at reception.
- Guide01836340299 (10/5): Receptionist - Jackie went above and beyond can’t thank her enough very friendly made me feel at ease nothing was too much for her, room was clean comfortable bed.
- martinwB1215WP (10/5): Jackie was a pleasure to meet - Jackie was a star.
I was met by this lovely lady on check in who was a complete breath of fresh air.
She explained everything that I needed to know including booking my table for breakfast.
The rooms were clean and had everything I needed. The bed was super comfy. I do feel parking should be free to guests.
I would definitely return again and would recommend this hotel for business or for pleasure.
- chris3789 (10/5): Great check in experience - I have stayed here af number of times for ComicCon at Excel London. Alexandra, who booked us in, was great and was easily the most responsive and helpful person I have dealt with at this hotel. An asset to be sure.
- Guide541693 (10/5): Excellent customer representative team - My family and I arrived after midnight quite tired and we left the next day in the morning; the room was clean, service was good, the room quiet; however, when we checked in, we were not told that parking had to be paid separately, so I assumed parking was free or the fee was included in the room rate. However, I received then a PCN and I contacted the hotel; I was told that every customer is informed about parking when they check in; nevertheless, when I explained that this had not happened in our case and also provided some evidence of this, the manager cancelled the fine. Great customer representative team and great manager!
- AlexexCov (10/5): Great location - This is a very good hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. It is conveniently located at the end of the DLR with the station only a few hundred metres away. 30mins on the DLR and you're into the heart of the capital 🙂
Across the road is a large supermarket (Asda) and McDonald's although the Brewers Fayre next door serves excellent food and drink.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
- Businesstrav6569000 (10/5): Great room, great staff - Friendly and helpful staff with a fabulous accessible room. Last minutre booking so was quite expensive but book early and its a bargain. Room was clean and exactly what I needed.
- DaveBill0 (4/5): Poor Customer Care at the pre tier Inn call centre - We booked 2 rooms at the East Mayne hotel. One room was for a friend with limited mobility and very poor vision. I realise that the reasons for the closure of the Beefeater were somewhat out of their control, but the late notification was not good.
Having contacted the Customer Care centre to see if they could relocate us to another inn in the area, my experience with this department left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They may be good at taking bookings and payments, but when they had to try and resolve customer issues they fell dramatically short. When I rang and eventually got to speak to someone, with a view to being relocated, the agent couldn't help, and said they'd get their manager to contact me in 30 minutes. Needless to say I didn't receive a call so I called again, and spoke to a different agent who also promised to get their manager to call me. Surprise surprise they didn't call either. So reluctantly I had to accept that for our stay, we would have to get in the car in the evening and morning and travel about 4 miles to another Premier Inn which had a Beefeater which was open. I don't know the area yet was left to sort this myself.
Not ideal at all for our disabled friend.
Shocking customer service.
On a positive note, the staff at the East Mayne hotel were very helpful, and although the rooms in my opinion are a little tired they were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Beefeater staff were also very good and looked after us during evening meal and breakfast, so a big thank you to the hotel and Beefeater staff.
- _tmareri (10/5): Absolutely Fantastic. - This is the cleanest Premier Inn I have ever stayed in, excellent. Staff very polite. Bed lovely and comfy, choice of pillows.
- benhF873MA (10/5): Top service - Top service at this hotel, was served by alexandra and ingrid! They are very quick and effiecwnt helping resolve any issues!
- GeoffC606 (6/5): parking Ouch.... - Parking is a joke - £30 for just 13 hours is extortionate - it states £15 for 24 hours
I arrived at 17:30 and left the following morning at 06:20... private parking eye so no-one can help in the hotel.
plus side is hotel is new ish - clean quiet room and very comfortable bed.
- Chandima_A_D (10/5): Premier Inn London Beckton & - Excellent hotel for business travel, with cosy rooms and superbbreakfast.
Situated in a trategic location.
Close to DLR which connect to Elizabeth line @ London Heathrow, Clise to bus stop and Supermarket.
- argoxb (10/5): Excellent stay, location and hospitality - Genuinely, couldn’t ask for a better place to take my other half for a weekend in London to stay. Why? The Staff.
They have been so kind in their service and welcome, we were both astonished. They genuinely cared for us. Special special gratitude to Alex who has gone the extra mile and made our room into a home. Other than great personality of staff and their hospitality, the location of the hotel is perfect for travelling to central London, both train and bus routes. Just a stones throw away from a massive Asda, and a gentle walk to Lidl for their morning bakeries. Honestly, the staff made it all.
Thank you to Alex and the team, hope to see you again!
- doran2617 (2/5): Car parking fees are criminal.!!! - Whilst the hotel and staff were nice and friendly as you would expect, the shock was the parking fee😱
It is extortionate!! Don’t take your car if you don’t need to.
Beckton station is near by and easily accessible.
Shame on the private parking company as this reflects badly on the hotel.
- 128fk (8/5): Friendly / Clean / Next to Beckton DLR station - Good Location. Close to Beckton Underground station. Clean Rooms. Friendly Staff. If booked in advance and choose the standard prepay option prices are reasonable.
- M6757VPsarahm (2/5): Mice problem in restaurant and it was open! - We had a horrible experience in the hotel. Mainly in the restaurant. There are mice running freely IN THE RESTAURANT. When I complained the really lovely bar manager was apologetic and a refund was offered. We obviously declined the breakfast in what only can be described as dingy and dirty restaurant. I felt so sorry for the waitress. It thoroughly ruined a weekend that we had been so looking forward to as we were going to the party in the park. There was a note on the door explaining the restaurant would be shut next week but of course they were going to sort out the rodent problem. There was a mousetrap next to one of the tables. Why on earth did the restaurant remain open when the management knew there was a mouse issue? It completely ruined it for us. The room was basic and not too bad. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
- 739chaels (10/5): Awesome stay cation - We had the most fantastic time at the Beckton Premier Inn. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable along with great blackout blinds. Seeing the same restaurant staff from the beginning of our stay to the end gave it a real homely feel. We are so grateful to all the restaurant staff, especially Kerry, for being so attentive and helpful and also Gabby for going the extra mile at breakfast, and Kaleed for being so friendly and personable. The breakfast buffet was of superb quality, and also for the evening meals, they provide a generous variety. The restaurant is spacious, and the atmosphere inside and outside was great. It's also very close to the DLR and a mini shopping mall. Overall, it was a great experience, and we look forward to returning.
- jfkGloucester (6/5): Let down - Chose this hotel as cheapest when visiting family but then had to pay for parking so worked out more than usual Premier Inn.
Stayed in family room on ground floor.
Needs decorating rooms VERY tired, drawer broken so used spare bed to put things on.
Broken lamp on desk.
Fan was on but very warm in room. Bed and pillows ok.
Had meals at restaurant this also needs decorating awful musty smell in dining area but food ok, staff do there best but not enough of them.
Children running about above our room late at night and 5am.
Wouldn't stay again or recommend.
- roktimk2023 (10/5): Stay at Beckton - I tend to stay in Canning town but this time I got to stay at Beckton. I am very pleased to say, I had an amazing stay, starting from the check -in to the checkout. At the reception desk got greeted by the manager himself and a team member. Everyone seemed very smiley and always ready to accommodate any request. Will be staying again soon.
- SMB50 (10/5): Comfortable and clean rooms - It was a comfortable, relaxing stay that met our needs. We have stayed a number of times to visit our daughter and any requests we made were always fulfilled.
- juliehB2797HP (6/5): Not the best but not the worse - Only stayed one night but that was enough, staff were friendly, the room we stayed in was very small, bed was lumpy and pillows hard, very hot and stuffy, had paint peeling off the walls but was clean and tidy and it was quiet, and we had stools as bedside tables not big enough to use really, didn't stay for breakfast so can't judge, carparking was 6.50 per night, we have stayed at a lot of Premier Inns and this wasn't the best but not the worse either
- JONI1234 (2/5): Manager has a poor approach to customer service. - Stayed here for a gig at the o2, hotel was conveniently placed and good value for london. Our room however was very hot and when we reported the air conditioning wasn’t working it had to be reset a couple of times to get it going, this then took a long time to cool down interrupting our sleep . Staff told us to complain under the good night guarantee, however when we did this they denied us every reporting an issue. This then led to a lengthy back and forth and us escalating our complaint to head office to get them to apologise for saying we had essentially made the issue up. Head office handled the whole thing well but we were disappointed with the manager of Beckton and his approach and wouldn’t stay at this one again.
- carolsP4308UD (10/5): Excellent convenient friendly - Perfectly situated near the train station. Staff were absolutely brilliant. They helped with directions and recommended a great Chinese takeaway as we were late back and the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was superb. The staff in the restaurant were also excellent with nothing being too much trouble. Great patience shown by one lady in particular. Room was freshly decorated, comfortable and we couldn’t hear the trains which were visible from the window.
- craigcS98IB (10/5): Brilliant! Lovely staff and comfortable beds!! - I work in Canary Wharf and need to stay nearby 2-3 days a week. I’ve tried loads of affordable hotels in the area but I am so happy to have finally found one that is comfortable, clean, quiet and secure. I have stayed here four times and will continue to stay here moving forward. The rooms have been renovated and they are really nice and modern. Beds are comfortable and the place is quiet.
The staff here are BRILLIANT; Alexandra and Nir are just the most helpful and friendly staff you could hope to meet. Their level of customer service is more akin to what you would expect at a five star hotel in the city. They really do go above and beyond and really make you feel welcome. They are both a credit to the Premier Inn brand!
Overall, this place is incredible value for money. I would recommend it to anyone. I look forward to many more stays here!!!
- Deonaraine (10/5): - Convenient, quiet.
- 614lynnes (10/5): Great stop over - We stayed the the Watermill Premiere Inn Basildon South recently. Very friendly reception. Clean comfortable room although very hot. Very convenient for our needs. Lovely park nearby for an early morning walk too. Good substantial breakfast.
- michellecR6452QE (2/5): Very poir - Rooms so hot had 2 fans which didn’t work that well we stayed 3 nights not once did we had house keeping room smelt also in the corridors smelt bad to the breakfast was terrible place needs a deep clean feet sticking to the floor would not be staying again very poor
- chew672 (8/5): Not perfect this time - Third stay here, staff lovely. When booking no telephone answer from premises. Booked through main premium inn site, needed walk in shower, they couldn’t get reply to request. Room had shower but over bath so couldn’t have shower during our stay. Think will look elsewhere next time but that is a shame as very near family.
- W2170DAkater (10/5): - I’ve had a wonderful stay so far at Premier Inn Basildon (East Mayne) while travelling for business. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a larger, more spacious room, which made my visit even more comfortable.
Check-in was quick and efficient, completed in under five minutes, and I was warmly welcomed by Leigh, who was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Travelling for work can sometimes feel isolating, so it truly made a difference to have such a kind and genuine conversation with Leigh. She’s a real credit to your team 🤍🫶🏻

- 343niluk (2/5): Getting bad than before - 1. Divan bed was not arranged with the beddings, duvet cover or no pillow cases. Single duvet was old but with no duvet cover. Bed was not arranged and we had to do all by ourselves.
2. The room was booked for 3 people but only 1 set of towels were kept
3. Shower is very old and the walls are moldy
4. No lift to carry baggage upstairs
