Guest Reviews
- natashabS485ZK (10/5): Great stay - I stayed here while on training for work. Absolutely loved my stay here . Room was comfortable, food was good and the staff were so friendly and happy to help. Alan in particular was absolutely brilliant! He made our stay here so enjoyable!
- dawnie1981 (8/5): Rooms a little tired but clean and comfortable - Rooms are as expected for a PI although looking a little tired. Chipped desk, walls/paint and bath panel. No USB ports in the room, which were needed for a family of 4 staying. Luckily had 1 charger, but should've brought four!
Beds were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom plus there was plenty of toilet paper! Always a win for a family room.
Lovely, friendly staff on reception and in restaurant. Food was excellent quality, well cooked and very tasty. Limited selection of bar drinks, but adequate enough for our family.
- janboyd (10/5): Very Good - Room lovely and big, even for a family room, 224. Very clean.
Although hotel full, staff very helpful and smiley. Especially duty Manager. Food limited on Friday a the were waiting a delivery, but the gammon steak was very tasty, and i don't think it was even the Chef working. Well done
- Wallism26 (6/5): Shame its so expensive - Playing fields noisey
Staff not happy in their work.
Breakfast supplies ran out.
Tuff nights sleep due to people running around up above our room.
At breakfast the front doors kept opening and stayed open so it was freezing all through out both days!
Staff seemed hard faced and not helpful.
The drinks at their bar very expensive badly made shandy pint and southern comfort and coke .....wait for it.....£18..!!!. Wont be doing that again the pub opposite half the price!!!
- 271maggiep (10/5): Excellent - We were here in March and all I can say is Wow..... what a transformation rooms are lovely and the restaurant and bar beautifully decorated- smaller but 'friendlier' staff are lovely will be back
- B4980KEnancyh (6/5): Value for money - Too expensive for 1 night's stay travelodge was in the same area and less than half the price They were fully booked for the date I needed os partner was booked into the hospital for surgery on this date or I would have booked another with them
- Fireopall (4/5): Freezing - The rooms have no heating, apart from a small electric radiator thats suitable for a room half the size. The room was incredibly cold and I ended up getting a cold. I will not return to this particular Premier Inn until they get centralised heating.
- deanmO2398JX (4/5): Poor service - When we arrived after 6pm we went to our room which was still not ready. Both single beds for the kids had not been made. Whilst trying to get showered etc we had to let in staff who came in and out a few times to make the beds. This is while 4 of us were trying to shower and get ready. The staff seemed to think this was funny as the 2 girls kept giggling away at themselves whilst in our room. This was very awkward and made the stay as a whole off putting.
Even when trying to book in the check in machines did not work, the staff sat and watched us struggle to use these offering no help. When I went to the desk to check in it seemed i had made them for work they didn't want to do as the girl seemed very unprofessional in her manner.
- 760travels (6/5): Staff great, hotel needs serious updating - STAFF ..... 5 Stars !
Firstly , and most importantly , I want to review the staff . They are fantastic, and despite running around doing lots of duties, remain friendly , smiling and professional. My thanks go to them all , and especially Shannon who made extending my stay ,due to hospital visiting , as easy as ABC. Thank you.
Hotel Building .. 3 stars
Bedroom was cold , ground floor and god knows where the wind came from. You are given a heater to warm your bedroom through ,and a fan , I suppose for air in the summer . The site says ,no AC and you kind of expect some fresh air to come in ( not the wind from somewhere unexplained ) Leads to a really stuffy room . The bed was awful , and I have stayed in a Glasgow one recently and it was bliss. The floorboards are shocking. Even in our own ground floor room , but the person upstairs got up for the day at 530 am. And that was me awake !! By the time they got themselves showered and in and out ....that was my sleep gone. The floor in the dining room and bar area is so sticky you can't walk in it without making a noise , and I don't doubt the cleanliness of the hotel.
This hotel is great for location to the hospital and on a good bus route . But it needs serious updating. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and it's sadly gone down in my estimation.
Charging central Glasgow prices for this is nuts , unfortunately I had to pay to be close to an ill parent.
Once again , the staff are your biggest credit. Really great team.
- 275brendona (10/5): Great staff - Had my reservations at the start, Air con in room was off, but they did supply a radiator, extractor in bathroom didn't work, that said the room was clean and tidy and ready on our arrival, check in was easy and fast with the automated system. My 5 star rating is based on the staff, couldn’t do enough and an absolute pleasure to deal with especially Shannon and Alan. Well worth the money all round for a stay with breakfast.
- sakaowto (10/5): Nice stay - Was a little worried with all the negative comments about dated rooms but you know what you’re getting with a Premier Inn, clean, tidy rooms and for us we had a great stay for the price. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly, especially the team helping us out with the new check in procedure.
- bryankJ9772XE (10/5): Perfect - I satyed at this hotel for 2 x nights this week. A special thankyou to all the staff at Premier Inn Newton Mearns (especially Paula) for a great service.
I was delighted to learn that I was the very first customer in the newly refurbished Restaurant. This new area was superbly finished (great decor), and the food and service was excellent.
I could not recommend this hotel enough. I will be booking next time I am on Business in the Glasgow area.

- FarAway56180435927 (8/5): Amazing chef, food was amazing! - Me and my family had dinner here tonight and the chef (Beth) did an amazing job. Our food was outsdtanding and tasted amazing!
- 483leong (4/5): Standards are falling - Stayed in room 102 and must say if your after a early night then this room not good as you can hear people walking up and down the stairs.
The condition on carpets and walls in public area need a good clean but this has been a common thing on last few days in premier inn.
The room is a typical room but the cleaning is not as good as it used to be I had hairs in shower area and carpet needed a clean as there was some crumbs again I have noticed this at other premier inn around the UK are they under staffed and rushing around also the tables where peeling as in the vinyl from the wood
The staff on the night shift was great and breakfast staff was good as well they seem to be rushing around so again are they doing more due to lack of staff and this meant people had to wait at the reception or bar etc for longer than normal.
I would stay again but definitely not in room 102 or near the stairs as they are noisy and hopefully has had a good clean down to make it nice in the public area and just make it nicer looking also fix the air con in the rooms
- zoeaE8385RG (8/5): Very clean and well ran. - Very nice and clean hotel, modern fully equipped rooms. The bathroom was absolutely spotless, no funny odours anywhere in the room.
Staff were clearly harassed by a busy hotel but were still very polite and helpful.
Could do with better parking though, not many spaces for size of hotel and spaces very narrow too.
- Venture25554606864 (2/5): Be careful if staying here - some intimidating staff - Three members of staff did not acknowledge us or welcome us on arrival. They continued to sit and chat to each other at a table in the dining room, even although they could see us standing waiting to check in.
I noticed a self check-in machine at the check-in desk, but my phone genuinely had 2% battery after a long day traveling, so I decided I'd rather check in with one of the staff members because I didn't want find that my phone died halfway through the check-in process. I'd also just rather check in with a member of staff when arriving at 10pm after traveling 200 miles.
We continued to wait, but still no one acknowledged us. So I spoke from the check-in desk into the dining room. I said hello, and asked if we could check in. One member of staff shook her head, rolled her eyes and reluctantly stood up. She then shouted over to us "Have you not got a booking reference?", indicating that she wanted us to use the self check-in machine.
I felt uncomfortable as I was not expecting her to react like that, and ended up using the self check-in machine. The woman went back to sit with her colleagues and began chatting again when she saw me moving to the self check-in machine. Because I was flustered, I forgot to ask about breakfast timings and when we had to check out in the morning. I just Googled the check out time from my room, and didn't bother having breakfast in the hotel. I just wanted to leave the hotel straight away if I'm being honest.
I would really hate for anyone else, particularly any elderly people, to be met with this attitude when checking in. I would advise against staying at this hotel until this has been resolved and the staff are at least willing to speak to you, let alone offer any help when you arrive.
- Chucklelee (10/5): Great Stay. - My trip was to include a parkrun on saturday and the Great Scottish Run on Sunday.
This hotel is not central but a 77 bus, outside of the hotel, runs into central Glasgow.
As with all Premier Inn hotels the staff were great, polite and great to talk with. My room was clean and warm and as expected.
I ate in the hotel on Friday night after a day of storms and found the meal really nice indeed and value for money.
If and when I return to Glasgow I will definitely be stating here again.
- 661ferguss (10/5): Nice place to stay very friendly staff - Stayed here from8th-10th October it’s easy to get to London as I had an England football match to go to. I have stayed a couple of time here never had a problem. I’d definitely recommend getting breakfast. The chef lez cooks brilliant breakfast and is always very friendly with everyone. You can’t beat his breakfast.
- leehQ3454SD (2/5): premier inn experience - building work in reception not ideal during the evening and back up chef so limited food not ideal
very happy i do not have to spend any more time at this hotel
also the car parking is chargeable no rebate
if possible i would book at the other premier inns in Gillingham and Chatham
- Nadime (6/5): - Clean room and comfortable shower and sheets.
- RichmondReg (6/5): Great hotel and staff but very noisy thin floors above. - The receptionist was magnificent. The room was totally spotless. The air con was already on (hot day) and it was a very nice sized room.
However, when I heard the guest enter the room above mine I realised that the floors of this new build appear not to be concrete. They sound like wood, just like living in a Victorian house conversion. You hear people walking about in the room above from all the creaking and floor movement. Unbelievable.
I would not have stayed in the hotel had I known this. I come for peace and quiet. Not to be reminded of my past student life. Really disappointing. I won't be back as a result.
- Lisa (8/5): - Property was perfect for having to catch a plane. Even though its right on the highway, the windows block out all the noise.
- Ultra_694 (6/5): Overnight stay mid September - Room slightly dated. Stayed on ground floor, but had squeaky floor boards. Facilities clean, with a comfy bed. My main main is about the dinner experience. Arrived for my 7pm prebooked table. Was served a drink quickly, but had to wait 15 minutes to have my order taken. 5 minutes after placing my order, I was then told the grilled fish was not available, so had to choose another main, this was then 7.20pm. My food then arrived at 7.55pm, just under an hour after I had first sat down. Also the burger and bun were slightly overcooked, but I ate, due to how hungry I was.
Staff the least friendly out of the three Premier Inns I stayed at this particular week.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay before early morning flight.
- rmfearn (8/5): Hotel is OK’ish - The hotel is ok’ish. We stayed for four nights, although I didn’t sleep very well, my partner slept like a stone. You have to pay for car parking (at a reduced rate). We were there as a location to visit the Historic Dockyards, Rochester, Upnor Castle and further away the Cutty Sark. All these are fabulous, but if you want to find something interesting within walking distance, there isn’t. So we ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of nights, average meals nothing special. There aren’t any alternatives locally as far I could see.
The room was clean, but found the aircon unit a bit noisy, switched it off at night but found the room too hot, that probably was the reason I didn’t sleep well. The staff were friendly and attentive so no complaints there.
- davidmO2829ZR (10/5): A week in Kent - Friendly staff, very helpful. Only problem was one large towel in a room booked for 2 adults. Asked for a second and it was provided without issue.
- Reynards42 (8/5): Comfortable - The Premier inn Chatham/Gillingham is situated by the side of the main A289 running down into Chatham, offering great access to the many, attractions the area has to offer. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. WiFi throughout, toiletries, tea and coffee provided. Breakfast is being served as normal in the Thyme restaurant, but on a pre- booked slot basis. Evening meals are also available but as a take away, to eat in you room. The only downside to this hotel, is the noise factor, not only is the proximity to the road a plus, it does mean, it is prone to traffic noise. Then there are the noisy neighbours above stomping around at all hours. Overall a great visit, with friendly helpful staff.
- Climber15091492152 (2/5): Different hotel - Dirty hotel with no air-conditioned! And really bad after sale... Save your money and go somewhere else,, ........../
- bevwM5868AD (10/5): Excellent! - Even though there's extensive work going on at the moment, this Premier Inn is extremely well run, spotlessly clean and has excellent, friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. The Premier Plus room was lovely-very clean and comfy with a huge shower and all the nice Plus bits and bobs. I certainly recommend it there. The restaurant is currently closed but they offer complimentary pastries, fruit, tea and nice coffee to take back to your room from reception.
- I6304JRsamanthak (10/5): Fab evening meal and service - Steven was exceptional with his customer service, attentive care and attention to detail, ensuring our evening meal was enjoyable. He was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He made our evening and he deserves a pay rise. He is invaluable to your team and was very much like a Matre Dee or head of house. Keep the excellent work up!
- Christine (8/5): - The hotel is fine. There is no fridge, which I didn’t need anyways, so it was alright. I was able to store my luggage early. My only problem, was my youngest daughter left behind her glasses after we checked-out. But it was difficult to reach a person
- T3967BFclairem (10/5): Fab hotel - Wonderful hotel from warm welcome from Alan as we arrived. Hotel clean and fans in room also air conditioning. Shower had seat area which was lovely
- 338gaylet (2/5): Filthy - Where to start.
Stayed here with my mum after a hospital appointment.
Its filthy, the floors are sticky, there's dust and hairs everywhere.
Our room, it appears the window stopped working so they plonked another window ontop of it, didnt keep the noise out, cigarette butts in the windowsill, dust and dirt.
Dust and hairs on skirting boards.
The fan, we absolutely didnt switch on or we wouldve ended up with a dust cloud.
Above the bed was full of dust.
Bathroom was hairy and dusty and smelled of stale pee.
Sheets didnt fit the beds, un ironed, pillowcases were the same, they were hairy and not fresh looking at all, only 1 set of towels between 2 people.
Restaurant:
Chairs were full of old food and hairs, the sockets needed a wipe and clean, the tables were sticky, the food was lovley and the service was lovley.
But dust absolutely everywhere.
The cutlery pot was caked in dirty dried on food.
This place needs new cleaning staff, its disgusting, will absolutely not stay here again.
It seems all the reviews mention the filth and clearly nothing has been done.
- xuan lan (4/5): - It would have been 0 star if it wasn't for the night representative who had to come in to makeup the bed and vacuum after our third straight unsuccessful request to have our room clean. Bed left unmade, floor remained dirty (debris on the floor looked as if they have there fore a while); the used glasses and spoons remained, with the ÿwe only got new towels for The checkin desk was never staffed, and the two kiosk for self checkin were downed for the four nights we were there. We had to ring the bell on the desk and WAIT, AND WAIT. Our room access key quit working after the first night and we had to get in line each time and waited in a line that could take up to 10 minute wait to get the problem resolved only to repeat day after day. Bad service.
- Global33842830602 (10/5): Family review - Great location. Lovely food. Would stay again. Friendly staff. Helpful too. Comfortable family room. Very spacious.
- tiredmum0ftwo (4/5): Wasn't the best experience. - Dont pre-book meal deal for food, unless you check they have food first! Didn't have pizza, mixed grill, pasta etc (missing 8 or 9 main meals off the menu).
Staff are friendly but bar/food service was slow on a night it was fully booked and only 1 chef working....but also only had few customers in the restaurant 🤷🏼♀️ couldn't be seated to order food until 90 mins after we arrived, to then find out the choices were extremely limited.
- Claudia (10/5): Amazing - Our stay was amazing. All the staff & manager Alan were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. This will be our go place when we visit again.
- tighnacnoc (10/5): 5-Star Staff Service. - We arrived late in the evening and the hotel keycard machine was broken. The hotel was full and things were hectic. However Alan was both friendly and courteousous and remained calm and professional. He let us in our room and assisted my wife back through the doors with drinks obtained from the bar. Rebekka at the bar was extremely cheerful and chatty too. These two individuals made our stay memorable for all the right reasons and are a credit to the Company. I would not normally leave a review but these members of your staff went above and beyond what was expected.
- Adrian (10/5): - Good
- ginacW8680ZC (10/5): Very enjoyable short stay. - Easy to park, very warm and informative reception. Clean and comfortable room. At in the evening and at breakfast and the service was excellent and the food of a high standard. Very enjoyable stay.
- lyns882 (8/5): Long Stay 7 night review. - Small checkin area can imagine it getting busy during peak times, staff were very welcoming. Be aware there is a parking meter outside you have to pay for each night you stay on top of the cost of the room. No microwave and you pay extra for a room with a fridge, keep that in mind if you plan on staying for multiple nights. The bed seemed firm, pillows flat but that's a personal preference could be fine for some people. Overall clean friendly hotel, with ample parking.
- Quest38571675503 (10/5): Newly renovated room with good air conditioning - Place clean, room tidy, bathroom is newly renovated.
Most important thing is ..... air conditioning is strong !
This is fantastic for our family trip during the summer.
- Phinic (8/5): Very Friendly - On arrival the car park was full. However there was a disabled space which I could use as I have a badge.
The staff were very friendly and checked us in with ease.
I had booked a family room. However getting to the room on the second floor, only the double bed was made up. Back to reception and the man went and got a bed pack. Before he went Abbie was searching to see if there was another room set up we could move to instead, however there was not. The guy had been and got a bed pack, taken it straight to the room and left it with my son before I got back there.
As i was making up the single bed, I noticed items missing from the pack so I went back to reception again. Abbie was there and I told her the situation and she was very apologetic. She went with me, got new items and made the bed up, which she said should have happened in the first place. She was very chatty and made us feel at home. We did not have breakfast booked and she booked us for complementary breakfast, however we did not get chance to take advantage of this kind offer.
Looking around the room it was a normal premier inn room. The carpet had stains on, the walls had marks and holes filled that were not disguised very well. Nothing that makes any difference to the stay, just cosmetic things that could be dealt with.
The bathroom was clean and mould free. It was not until we came to shower however, that after one of us had showered we realised that there was only 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and the bath mat between us. So we shared towels as unable to go down to reception and get more towels.
The beds were clean and comfy and I can even say that for the first time in a long time I woke feeling refreshed.
The room we were in was 219 and it was an adjoining room of which I have not seen in a premier inn before myself.
Happy with our stay and if back that way will book here again.
- philipbH1077SI (2/5): The absolute worst WiFi of any hotel - This hotel has the absolute worst WiFi of any hotel I have ever stayed in.
I am a business traveller and staying 4 nights. In the evenings I need WiFi to work and catch up. But I am unable to do anything. It is a complete waste of my time.
I even upgraded to the ultimate WiFi which is marginally better.
Premier Inn - sort it out. I have paid £120 per night for this. On that note, premier inn pricing is getting ridiculous. Stayed in Glasgow city centre south last week, understaffed in the restaurant, had to pay for parking.
They used to be my go to but not anymore.
If you are a business traveller and not bothered about WiFi then it is a nice and upgraded premier inn. Restaurant currently shut and parking very limited. Miller & Carter nearby and Waitrose over the road. Right on the M77 so a short journey to Glasgow.
Breakfast is a pastry and banana which they don’t charge for.
- keithrZ1655WC (6/5): Hotel is operational despite being a building site - restaurant totally closed - Pros
- Premier Plus rooms great with rain showers, chocolates and Nespresso machines.
- Welcome was good
- location is perfect
Cons
- Hotel is a building site - the restaurant was totally gutted so no breakfast or evening meal service - we found alternatives but a Premier inn should always have breakfast service. They did have coffee and a few pastries but this was inadequate.
- Fire alarms went off at 5am on the first night and we had to get out into the rain. Staff needed the fire brigade to reset the alarms and it seemed to be related to the building work.
- Parking very tight due to the building work - spaces have been repainted to make them narrower. Contractors parking in the customer car park didn’t help.
- Another car park that now has Anpr and parking pirates involved which was new since our last visit. A retrograde move by Premier Inn.
- Emma (8/5): - The overall stay was good. Breakfast was fine. However the room is very hot and there is no air conditioning. A couple of fans are supplied in the room but it was still incredibly hot.
- alisonmP6524XF (10/5): Couldn't fault our stay - What a lovely experience staying at this hotel. Parking was easy, the hotel was welcoming, the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The food was good, both the breakfast and evening meals; for the money, it could not be faulted. However, the best part of our stay was the staff; everyone we met from front of house, chef and manager they were all so nice. The hostess, Sarah, was wonderful; funny, attentive and treated us like old friends. Thank you all so very much.
- johnoN8071SF (2/5): Not so Premier Inn. - The room was clean & the staff friendly. However, the toilet roll holder was loose and span arround like a windmill. When my wife went to switch on the bedside wall lamp, the button dissappear into the light housing. The room was roasting and humid. The Room welcome pack was incorrect and missleading on how to use the room heating/aircon system. I had a dreadful nights sleep. In the morning there was steam around the window and puddles of water on the window ledge. Apparently it's down to you to read the online information on the heating/aircon system when you book your room. The Fire alarm repeatedly went off around 5pm on evacuating we met folk walking back to their rooms because reception had told them it was ok. When the fire alarm eventually stayed on folk started to leave the building to wait for the fire brigade to arrive and check that it was safe to return inside. I contacted the Guest Relation team to highlight these issues. Do not expect much, in fact, don't expect anything.
- lindsayeb (4/5): Not the greatest experience - An unpleasant stay from the start. The receptionist told me she didn't like the spelling of my first name and so would pronounce it how she thought it ought to be and proceeded to do so!!!
We were checking into two rooms. My brother in law went up first and had been given the wrong keycard, resulting in him walking in on a semi-dressed lady. The receptionist argued with us about room numbers, but had clearly made the error.
My sister's room had an unpleasant smell and ours had the hard wired hair drier loose meaning it kept switching off.
No one came to reception when we were checking out, so it was not possible to report these issues.
Luckily we have no reason to need to stay at this hotel again.
- Kazuo (6/5): - Thank you
- angusmB7976UD (10/5): Excellent customer service … - Just had another excellent 3 night stay in Premier Inn Newton Mearns (Glasgow}.
Rooms are of v high standard compared to other Premier Inns we’ve stayed in and the reception team and hotel staff are doing a great job of looking after us despite the ongoing building work to upgrade and expand the hotel.
On arrival we had two small issues with the initial family room we were allocated relating to poor mobile phone signal and and adjoining door noise issue ( Room 111) but Louise on reception did a fantastic job of resolving both issues quickly by being able to move rooms around and suggesting we use the hotels WiFi to support WiFi calling on our phones.
Another great stay delivered by the team despite the ongoing work to upgrade the hotel even further. ( It’s already a high standard !)
- gordoncI8510EA (10/5): Emergency Services required. - Brilliant response from Louise on reception when I suffered a heart attack early Friday evening. Kept a cool head, called ambulance and relayed all relevant information to the emergency centre. Ambulance arrived in about 15 minutes and was in hospital shortly afterwards.
- davepurdy1969 (10/5): Very quite and convenient for the airport - Perfect stay nice and quiet with plenty of parking. On arrival the bed was not made for my son. One quick return to the reception and everything was sorted straight away.
Would highly recommend using before making your way to the airport which is only a short drive away
- Venture41564568014 (10/5): Great customer service - I often stay here for business.
Tonight the customer service demonstrated by Michele and her daughter (Rebecca ) was excellent.
They were attentive funny and found my college dad jokes funny,
( however hard they tired not to laugh)
Looking forward to being back next time.
- Adventure28475788806 (10/5): A warm welcoming Premier Inn - Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Buffet breakfast was freshly cooked in small quantities so wasn't sitting around for too long.
Rooms nice and clean.
- J9801UBjanes (10/5): Premier Inn experience - Overall good experience. Attentive check in and went above and beyond to help with forgotten items
Sarah was amazing ! Very customer focused
- GregoryP304 (6/5): Excellent premises poor wifi - This is a very modern clean premier inn. Lovely shower room instead of shower over bath. Good location with an Aldi and Waitrose nearby. Drive into centre of Glasgow not the best as on local roads but ok. The reason not a 5* review was the std wifi speed was nearly nil. Very very poor.
- stuartaY3634HG (10/5): 5 star stay! - I had an excellent stay, the food was the best I've ever eaten at a premier Inn. Good night's sleep, and the staff were excellent, with a shout out to Sarah, who was very welcoming and efficient.
- Allibali (10/5): Relaxing Stay - Excellent experience, spotless room with incredibly helpful and friendly staff nothing was too much trouble will definitely return
- jhG7648TC (10/5): Great! - We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Lovely and clean hotel. Beds were very comfortable. The staff were great! We will definitely stay again soon.
- paulamZ7175IV (10/5): Great stay - Great stay, wonderful staff as always, will definitely stay at this hotel again, clean comfortable exactly what I needed after a long day at work , thanks again to all
- X3628YRsandrab (6/5): Catch up - Booked twin room was staying with my sister on arriving our room was a double with a small single bed, not happy after over a hours wait got the twin room which we booked, the reception said I should have booked a zip and link bedroom to get a twin room but can not find that information on website only double, twin, family. The bar seemed to close early after being out for the day went to pub across the road
- Spenglas2483 (10/5): Great sleep and breakfast. - After watching the stereophonics last night, we got back to the room and had a great night sleep. A gorgeous hot shower in the morning and a great vegan breakfast. The staff very helpful and accommodating
- 64elaines (4/5): Bed and breakfast without breakfast - Where to start 😱 rooms were clean but one pillow each on bed was inadequate. The air conditioning was a hit or miss and the Wi-Fi was shocking. But my biggest concern was why I was asked what time I would like breakfast as when I went down there was no hot food available. I stood for a few minutes being totally ignored by the chef before I accually had to shout over was there any sausage bacon blackphdding tomatoes ect as all that was there was 3 hash browns and a dish of mushrooms, he then looked up at me and said I am cooking them now when he did put some bacon out a woman went up before me and took 3 rashers leaving me one, this is absolutely unexceptable for a hotel offering bed and breakfast not to be able to provide the hot breakfast. Needless to say we checked out and had breakfast elsewhere. I will not be returning.
- paulkJ7131KN (2/5): Exceptionally bad customer experience. Money for nothing. - Booked a room with express check in and paid for the early option. On arrival the room was not ready. The guest was still in the room and didn't get out until closer to 12 noon. I had a wedding at 1pm and I had to get fully changed in the bathroom. There was no other resolution from the staff. No apologies or anything and no offer of compensation or my money back. Took my money for nothing. A very poor experience all an all. This happened Saturday 14th of June 2025.
- freyalync (10/5): Another good stay at Premier Inn - Lovely room: clean, spacious, as always a very comfy bed. Excellent service to check us in and for breakfast the following morning. (Always good to have bedding that doesn't smell of over-scented laundry product.)
Very good value for money.
- Watcherdoon (10/5): Does the job - Clean, comfortable and private accommodation. Great for an overnight stop on a long road trip. Also well located for access to Newton Mearns although arriving after 9 pm meant it was a struggle to check in and to find anything to eat in the area. McDonald’s was appalling but that wasn’t Premier Inn’s fault!
- Simon69 (8/5): Good Premier Inn with local facilities nearby - Very good Premier Inn. Good local facilities. Good food pub across the road. Walkable Dominoes Pizza, Waitrose, Tesco and Aldi. Very short drive to the local train station for access to Glasgow city centre. Would recommend as a cheap alternative to city centre hotels.
- Diane (8/5): - The hotel isn't at the airport it's about 6 miles from the airport. It is situated right behind ikea at Braehead.I should have taken more note of the address. The hotel staff were pleasant. The lift was broken we arrived, but it was fixed the next day.It spoiled our stay as we were to meet people arriving at Glasgow airport. The good thing about this hotel is the car parking is free.
- Ann W. (4/5): Not so good this visit! - Had to request a different room, as the room we were given had same stain on the mattress cover from a previous visit to same room, and a huge crack in bathroom sink. Second room was OK although tumblers in the bathroom were filthy and we had to wash them before using. Wasn't aware there would be no housekeeping during our stay, I understand Xmas day, but would have thought housekeeping would resume Boxing Day. But at least would have expected extra toilet tissue, and milk/ coffee to cover this period that rooms were not being replenished. Had to ask for toilet tissue!
We were on the top floor and the lift was broken, very annoying as every night we had to go back down as our room key would not work each night!!!! Stayed 27 nights at this hotel in the last year, but feel really let down this visit, and will be looking elsewhere in the future, such a pity things seem to be going downhill.
- IAN (8/5): GOOD HOTEL WELL LOCATED FOR M8 AND BRAEHEAD CENTRE - GOOD HOTEL WELL LOCATED FOR GETTING INTO GLASGOW, GOOD FACILITIES, FREE PARKING, SERVICE IN HOTEL GOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF - A CAR A MUST
- Mina (10/5): Lovely Stay at Camponile - Going to a concert. Thought the Camponile was a lovely hotel - staff very friendly and helpful. Location was great as we flew in from Lewis so it was good to have a hotel near the airport.
- Alasdair (8/5): Good hotel for business or shopping - Very good hotel, with friendly, polite and helpful staff
Our experience for staying was good, but one disappointment was the opening hours of the restaurant ... too limited, and the food quality was good, but average
- Danielle Y. (10/5): Overnight stay - We booked a twin room as that was all left available. We were pleasantly surprised to find a double bed when we entered. I did find a hair in the bed and also the bathroom smelt of stale urine and dampness as if it hadn't been cleaned properly. Apart from the bathroom issue and noisy residents, which is not the hotels problem, we were happy with out stay.
- Yasser (4/5): Not the best when it comes to organisation - We arrived at the hotel at 4pm after a long drive up from the South. When we got there we were given our room key however when we got to our room, we found that it was still being cleaned. We initially waited outside the room whilst it got cleaned and then we allowed to wait inside the room whilst it was given the final parts of the clean.
I can understand that sometimes such things can occur, but we would not have been expecting to check into a room that was still not ready and where we had been, we would have appreciated a free breakfast token in the morning as a gesture of goodwill but NOTHING.
So not really too pleased with the start of our stay. All other things were fine and well but the start really began badly.
- Alan L. (8/5): Braehead visit - Remarkable value for money. Compares favourably with much more expensive hotels.
- IAN (10/5): Superb Hotel - Love the Campanile. Rooms are so nice and had a lovely meal also and great service from JJ
- Adrian (10/5): Too good to be called a budget hotel - Stayed for a week, front of house very modern, staff very friendly and professional, room very spacious, bathroom with large shower,
Local to all amenities, free car parking, and WiFi at a very low cost.
Only one issue, which the staff are happy to accommodate is,
If staying for more than 2 nights ask for a room on a higher level or not facing the carpark. Can be a bit noisy at the front of the hotel.
- Mario Kenneth (10/5): Clean, All facilities Flexible Staff - Clean Place & Early Checkin
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good, clean and fine for a couple of nights! - Ideal for what I needed but the location of this hotel is a little bit inconvenient for the motorway. That being said, it's perfect if shopping at nearby Braehead is what you're looking for. Friendly staff, clean room and good facilities.
- Pam (8/5): Near Braehead shopping centre - The hotel has a great restaurant across the road. The Steam Wheeler. Witherspoons restaurant is also close by in Braehead shopping centre. Terrific variety of shops in the centre, also dry skiing and snowboarding. M8 extremely close by.
- Michelle (8/5): - Stayed one night it was a nice place to stay the staff are friendly the food was good as well and the room was comfortable
- Peter (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely hotel, very helpful and polite staff. Would definetly stay here again.
- Margaret (6/5): check your card details..We got charged twice - Took is a while to find it but room was clean and comfortable. The downside..They take pre authorisation of your credit card when you arrive then when you leave take your card again..We got charged twice for the one room and took us a week to get the money refunded from the hotel..With no apology
- Drhue (8/5): - Fine for one night business stop, but not overly welcoming layout for residents lounge.
- Richard (8/5): Great Value and very nice staff - Nice, clean budget hotel. Great staff and will be back again.
- Dauda Victor (8/5): Good hotel. - It was no where close to the airport. Bathroom had a funny smell guess that can be sorted and the shower was too slow. Overall it's nice hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were through in Glasgow to go snowboarding at Snowfactor which was 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Ikea was 5 minutes walk away and we went there for breakfast both days. Braehead shopping centre was also within walking distance or a 5 minute drive away.
- Wanda (10/5): Holiday - Excellent. Good sleep. Love area for shopping and walking to things.
- Darren (10/5): Great place to stay - Excellent staff and room plenty of parking will book again next time I'm in glasgow
- Brian (6/5): Adequate routine budget hotel. - Overnight stay. Hotel adequate for short stay. Only real complaint was breakfast service was poor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Handy for airport - Didn't get to hotel until 3am but stay were friendly on arrival and departure
- Robert (8/5): Great staff - We stayed here for a few nights while we were having building work done at home. The room was basic but clean and well maintained and had regular maid service. I had a couple of issues, wi-fi is an additional cost, which in this day and age is a disgrace and I had settled down in the bar one night with a beer to watch football only to find out there was no sports channels.
Overall, the staff make up for any failing the hotel may have, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Handy for Glasgow Airport - For what was required it was perfect and inexpensive.
- John (10/5): Great for Braehead shopping - This hotel is superb if visiting Braehead shopping centre / IKEA etc. The hotel itself is modern clean etc. Located in an industrial area. Staff very nice. Good value. Never had breakfast though - tip go to nearby IKEA store to eat if on a budget.
- janina (10/5): Transit between flights - This was in an excellent location for shopping centre. Airport and in my case also the dentist. There was every amenity and large rooms albeit uninspiring. Bath towels were extra large and luxurious and shower had seat. The price was excellent and overall a very good place to stay. On this occasion I did not have dogs but thought 5.00 per dog a bargain.
- Edward (8/5): exceptable except for lack of wakeup call - Only problem was lack of wake up call which I requested night before.I called down when I woke up. Phone was next to my ear. Desk stated they tried twice!!!!!!!!!! Good thing we didn"t miss our. flight!!!!!!! Desk must have called someone else.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellant Hotel - Hotel in ideal location, close to airport & not far from Glasgow city centre. Ideal for short stay, rooms good size & comfortable and very clean. On bus route to city centre & onward travel and also close to Braehead shopping centre. I would definitely stay there again.
- Gwyn (10/5): Night before flight home - Stayed here the night prior to our flight home. Modern hotel, large rooms and bathroom. The immediate area has one restaurant near by, so so, but with a slightly longer walk or taxi ride there's a mall nearby, well stocked. The only thing I wish they had was an airport shuttle, otherwise we were pleased.
