Guest Reviews
- Laurel (4/5): - No bedside tables, no USB ports, no fridge or a phone in the room to call the front desk, no room service.
- Ka (10/5): - They are all good
- Andrew (10/5): - In centre of town.
- 424philippag (10/5): Extremely helpful staff - The staff were extremely kind and went the extra mile when we needed help - thank you. Comfortable bed, powerful shower and delicous porrige and fresh fruit salad for breakfast.
- emmacW9522LB (10/5): Perfect night sleep! - St.Austell is perfect to reach all areas of Cornwall. The room and bathroom clean. So quiet, peaceful & the bed just the best!! The blackout curtains did their job, long peaceful sleep!! Reception staff so friendly & welcoming.
- MummyMac79 (2/5): Pretty terrible :( - This was definitely the worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in. The whole hotel had a smell about it and when I opened my room door the room smelt really bad, like a wet, dirty smell.
The toilet came away from the floor and the seal was broken and you could see it all soaking wet and mouldy looking.
The windows were soaking wet too so there must be a ventilation problem. This is possibly a known complaint as fans were left in the rooms?
The room had very obviously not been cleaned before arrival as there were faeces on the toilet bowl and marks up the wall, along where the toilet roll is.
When I turned on the bath tap lots of black stuff came out into the bath and some kept hanging out of the tap.
The room had lots of clumps of dust, especially along the top of the bed where my child was to sleep.
The chair was filthy and covered in stains and even the towels hung in the bathroom were stained. Quite a stained carpet too.
From reading other reviews I then realised that many other people had a similar experience.
We had booked 2 rooms and the other smelled so strongly of a deep heat type smell. It also had a lot of dust clumps but it was in better condition than the first room.
Also none of the children’s tv channels seemed to work.
I took photos of most things but unfortunately I didn’t find out until leaving that the pillows in the original room had blood stains on them, or I would have taken photos of that.
My stepson slept there and only discovered it before checking out, my little boy would have been sleeping there if we hadn’t swapped rooms.
Also the girl who checked us in wasn’t very friendly at all, which isn’t great for a first impression.
I stay in Premier Inns a lot and I was really shocked at how bad this one was, especially with it being in St Andrews, I thought it might have had a high standard. Very disappointing sadly :(
I don’t really ever write reviews but I had to for this stay as it was very poor :(
- D6685VPdonnaa (10/5): Lovely place , kind compassionate staff - Stayed for Halloween weekend after being at Thorpe park for fright night.
Lovely stay easy to get to and lovely staff.
My daughter left her teddy bear and after speaking to Gina one of the staff members she helped return the bear.
My daughter was very happy as Gina sent pictures of the bear eating breakfast and sitting at the reception which my daughter loved.
Gina is a very kind compassionate member of staff and went above and beyond for us.
- heamars2004 (10/5): Another great stay at Premier Inn - Another good stay at Premier Inn. The quality across the Premier Inn Estate is consistent. The St Andrews Hotel was just as I had expected.
- Amir (8/5): - Very nice staff
- helenmL6983PW (10/5): Great Premier inn, lovely nights sleep. - Great location for the Eden project and Mevagissy and surrounding areas. Sea views from some of the rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- karenhT1125OB (10/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic stay as usual , Pam 5 stars so helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble , we wouldn’t stay anywhere else .
- aaroncS1206BM (4/5): Feel robbed - Location is good , room very dated , no atmosphere in restaurants for breakfast or dinner and food is very plane not worth the money. The rooms arnt sound proof you can hear conversations from the rooms next door and foot prints from the floor above also its very annoy when someone’s phone alarm is going off on the floor above and it’s vibrating and wakens you at 6am !! Also WiFi and signal from the hotel isn’t great can’t even load a Facebook video and thier “ultimate WiFi” costs a 5er best booking a different hotel for a few extra pounds .
- Paolo (8/5): - Qffari
- Rajinder (8/5): - Nice clean rooms, courteous staff. In a great area, with a walkable street near the 2 rivers. Lots of nice restaurants.
Parking cost 12 pounds, but no in and out. But lots to do without leaving.
Like the late checkout at noon.
Would stay at premier inns again
- Meander49181434318 (10/5): Thank you all - I have already done a review saying how great you all were at the Carclaze Premier Inn, Treverbyn, St Austell.
In fact, I wrote a poem for all of the staff there, and they put it on the wall in a back room
I was not well for my entire 8 days there, sadly.
Thanks again to all of you for your interest and care.
Barry Watson. ( Arrived on the 25th September)
AKA " Baz the poet ) !
- Griselda411 (4/5): Standards have slipped - Booked a premier room but unfortunately the fridge not working, the duvet cover had black stains, a hand towel and bath towel only for two people, stained carpet and chipped furniture, smelly damp and stuffy room (windows don’t open). Complained to reception and given another room and ok fridge worked and bedding was clean but all else was same as first room unfortunately
- Lmackreath78 (2/5): another premier inn to avoid - The online check-in process at this Premier Inn is, quite frankly, a waste of time. You’re encouraged to check in ahead of your stay, but upon arrival, you still need to rely on the physical machines in reception to issue your key card. The problem is, like most Premier Inns I’ve stayed in recently, these machines rarely work. You end up having to ring for assistance, wait for a staff member to appear, and have them manually produce a key card for you. The whole “online check-in” becomes completely pointless.
After wasting around 20 minutes just to get into my room, I decided to head down for a drink at about 5pm. There was no one at all in the bar or restaurant area, and no staff in reception either. In the end, another guest pressed the buzzer for help. When someone eventually appeared, I asked if anyone could serve at the bar, and was told the staff member was “on the phone in the office.” I waited another 10 minutes, went back to the same person, and miraculously, as soon as he knocked on the office door, the call had apparently just finished. I was finally served, but the experience was slow and unwelcoming.
The drink options were limited, overpriced, and the bar itself had zero atmosphere. The restaurant looked equally uninspiring, with expensive food that takes too long to arrive.
Then there’s the Wi-Fi. The free version is useless and rarely connects. The paid “premium” Wi-Fi is slightly better but appears to be routed through Singapore. This means that streaming services such as BBC iPlayer, Now TV, and Channel 4 think you’re outside the UK and block access.
By this point, I didn’t even bother trying to get help from the staff, as they were either nowhere to be found or “in the office.”
In short, this Premier Inn sums up everything that’s gone wrong with the chain recently: under-staffed, poorly maintained, and lacking in any genuine hospitality. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.
- P8676VOarthurb (10/5): Very good - The location was ideal. A very friendly atmosphere. Room was very comfortable. Good value for money and very clean. Noise level perfect 👍
- DavidD578 (10/5): Superb - A very clean ,quiet ,convenient premier inn ,breakfast was plentiful, hot and a reasonable price ,also had a takeaway pizza which again for the price was fine ,bit of a kerfuffle using the auto check inn as qr code wouldn’t work and staff weren’t about but all sorted in the end ,would return if in the area again
- ianwL3608YW (8/5): WiFi and loo roll - Check in was easy, room comfortable and the bed was fine. Decent shower as well. Meals are in the pub next door. We only had the breakfast which was good, but best get there at the start as it does get busy. The WiFi was poor, I'd paid in advance as I didn't know what connectivity was going to be like. Mobile 5G is strong, so I don't recommend the WiFi. The loo roll dispenser doesn't give much of an indication of how much there is and we must have been given about five sheets between us. Easily resolved but shouldn't really have happened.
- Q2269JKpauls (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Great location for visiting St Austel and surrounding areas. Hotel was very convenient, clean and friendly staff. Nice pub next door and a lovely cafe just across the road
- Loolalou (10/5): Execellent stay - Stayed for my 2 daughters to go to Thorpe park for Halloween and took my mum to Hampton court palace
Brilliant location as train station 10 min walk all shops and eating places nearby
Excellent stay breakfast was good with plenty of choice
We had the £26.99 meal deal the steak and chips was very good and you can choose an alcoholic drink and starter or dessert and get free breakfast so definitely worth doing
Comfy bed very quiet in our room 335 no room problems at all
- kathryntA2010BI (2/5): Poor cleanliness and not value for money - Unfortunately this hotel was a massive let down! The room cost £280 for the night for a premium room, for just 1 adult. When inside the room, there was a couple of disgusting stains on the carpet and walls on the bedroom. This was completely unexpected, especially as this was a premium room. Although the staff were quite pleasant, this hotel is not value for money. I definitely recommend seeing if you can get a nice room in one of the other local hotels, as they can be almost the same price, and much better value for money.
This was such a shame, as premier inns are normally good value for money and quite a decent stay. I would avoid this one , or have low expectations upon arrival.
- 235ians (10/5): First class service in the restaurant on a very busy night. - Stayed with my 9 year old son just for one night . The hotel and staff were the usual good standard i have come to expect as this was my first visit to this particular Premier inn. I dont usually write reviews but thought i must highlight what an asset the manager ( I think she was the manager , looking at the name on the receipt Jodie ) of the restaurant is. Although it was very busy and she was rushed off of her feet , everything was done with a smile and nothing was to much trouble for her. Even finding the time to advise me and my son on our dessert. The food was of a very good standard and no matter how busy it was getting there was not a long wait , our food was delivered hot and freshly cooked and everything seemed to run like clockwork. In this day and age where people seem to be quick to complain i think she deserves a pat on the back for being such a hard conscientious worker and making the whole evening such a pleasurable experience
- Companion00341182842 (10/5): great stay - the room was very clean and super big! all the staff were very nice and friendly no complaints! always love a premier inn and this is in a great location
- melsimcoe (10/5): Wonderful stay with amazing staff - Stayed for 3 nights over October half term. Check in was quick the staff were really friendly and informative. Make sure you enter your car registration number at reception. Rooms were clean, a good size and temperature. The beds were so comfortable I had a great sleep. The shower was powerful with big towels and shampoo etc was provided. Location great for site seeing. We visited Landhyrock house, the Eden project and went to Truro on the train from St austell train station which was just under 2 miles. I was surprised how nice this hotel was and the restaurant was just next door and we had a great experience there too. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
- harmonyheavensistera (4/5): Not acceptable - Family rooms are not accessible for people with additional needs bed so tight together, unable to walk between them they can only access them from the bottom or climbing over them all
- markbR5759GP (4/5): Poor cleanings and maintenance - Room smelled badly of dirty water or cleaning materials spilt into the carpet. The toilet had poo stains. Stains on the side of the bath that looked like dried blood. Skirting boards had a thick layer of fluff on them. The thermostat was loose on the wall. The fridge had no shelves or door restraints. There was no complimentary chocolate, bottled water, tea or coffee. I checked the sheets of room 218 because I didn't trust the cleaning team at this stage.
The restaurant also had similar smell. The reception was slow, staff showing poor computer skills and the system was slow.
Fingerprint stain on a knife and dried food on a fork. Only 2 members of staff doing reception and restaurant. One seemed completely bewildered. We waited 50 minutes for our meal. We ate out with the hotel after the first night.
I complained and toilet dealt with and room sprayed. Came back next day at 5 pm after a day out and room smelled again.
Wednesday morning fridge stopped working on 2nd day and we lost 2 bottles of milk.
Complained at reception to ask for another room. Transferred next door to 220 and had a promise of a discount. Keys didn't work, door for 220 had to be reprogrammed. New room had complimentary chocolate and water. The fridge had shelves and door rails and full toilet roll.
I AM WAITING FOR A REFUND.
- 423libbys (10/5): Worth every penny - Dropped the teens off at thorpe park and headed to the premier inn where id arranged an early check in for myself. Parking is pricey, couldnt see any discount for blue badge holder but handy as just round the back of hotel. Amazed at how central a location this is . Friendly, helpful, smiley staff. Loved my room on the 4th floor with views over the posh shopping centre and planes flying by. Spotlessly clean. Nice selection of teas coffee, chocs, bottled water from v cold fridge. Nicely laid out and modern decorated room with very vivid flatscreen room. Wing chair and footstall and side table made a cute little lounge area although the chair seat was very hard and not cushioned. I had a such a blissful day relaxing there . When i came back from picking teens up from thorpe park the car park was full but luckily i found a side road not too far away . The teens loved their room too and commented on how comfy their beds were , they said it felt like they were floating. Good breakfast in the morning although they kept running out of eggs! I would definitely return here
- karenbI3846CZ (10/5): Family wedding visit - Brilliant customer service from Tia on reception after confusion with our room. We had arrived from a 4 hour journey so was pleased she was so efficient and helpful.
All staff friendly, food replenished often at breakfast and overall great service.
As usual very comfy bed!
- dennisjC4140UR (10/5): Premier Inn delivers again!! - Usual Premier Inn top standard overall. Would strongly recommend on the basis of location, staff, rooms and experience.
- S5062CValant (8/5): Nacho add on misery ! - Premier in as usual are great to stay at but we were a little taken aback by the meal.
We ordered nachos because we really fancied the addition of chipotle chili you could order with it.
The nachos came and were as you would expect but the beef chipotle came in a pot which was probably the Same pot you would service a dip in! I kid you not!
Obviously this £2.99 addition was a mistake wasn’t it? No apparently the size of the add on was correct!!
Beware of ordering the chipotle chilli add on with any of the meals because it is little more than a taste!
- N9336FWkerry (10/5): Great place to stay for Thorpe Park and London - We stayed at the Premier Inn last night after going to Thorpe Park. It is 15 minutes drive from the park. There is parking but we park next door in the retail car park with electric charging for my EV. The room is basic but has everything you need and the bed is lovely and comfortable. The room was dark and quiet which resulted in a fantastic nights sleep after a busy day in the park. The breakfast was very nice and under 16s eat free making it good value for money. I found the staff lovely and attentive. It's also in the centre of Staines, so good for restaurants, shopping etc.
Would I visit again; of course. I stay there for London visits too as it's a short train journey to the centre of London.
- DinFrance (6/5): Ok - It was ok. Did the job but nothing special. Felt more motel than hotel TBH.
Bed side table was not fully cleaned/a bit sticky.
Lovely big mugs for cups of tea though.
- 512badams (8/5): Stayed there as we wanted to do the Eden Project (literally 10 mins down the road) . - The staff were so accommodating, and nothing was to much for them . Very friendly as well . The restaurant was comfortable and food typical pub food but good.
- M3325HQlucyc (8/5): Friendly, welcoming and helpful - The whole team were friendly and welcoming. The team at breakfast were particularly amazing. It was very busy, with demanding customers. They all stayed helpful and smiled throughout. Big shout out for making me personalised coeliac breakfast. Diolch Yn fawr!
- madbadger21 (10/5): Staff 1st class - We have stayed here several times now and every time the staff have been amazing. We have several things that need to be in place for our disabled son and they have always gone above and beyond to help us and make our stay perfect. They are so polite, helpful, friendly and understanding. The only thing that would make it better would be to be able to have a fridge in the room. Rooms were very clean and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay.
- ronniesO4929EM (10/5): Great place to stay and good food - The Staines Premier Inn was easy to find from the train station and close to Twickenham. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. We had good food both at Dinner and Breakfast. Would definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends
- Wander314258 (10/5): Choice hotel for easy visit to St Andrews - Can’t fault the location, fresh clean attractive and functional hotel with good carpark and 15min easy walk to town and then a little farther to the golf courses. All staff friendly, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We had a three night stay to visit son at Uni (25 min walk) and just did the touristy bits with ease. Had breakfast on two mornings and found both the continental or full breakfast choices to be of excellent range and quality. Accepting that St Andrews is popular in terms of accommodation, overall the price we paid was fair with Saturday being the premium night. Had a general look around when in the area to plan our next visit and expect to return to this hotel
- Wise_Welsh_Traveller (2/5): Very disappointing for a Premier Inn - Very noisy rooms. You can feel and hear everything from the rooms above and next door, including people peeing. The whol place works like and drum amplifying noise. All the vibrations of people walking around, opening and closing doors just travel through the building so badly. Not the place to stay if you want a good sleep. The noise issues really lets this place down as the staff were friendly (when you could find one) and the rooms are clean.
I have stayed in 100s of hotel around thw world whilst travelling for work, this one was by far the worst for getting sleep due to internal noise sources. A real shame for a building thats only a few years old.
- Buddypops (10/5): Great value for Money - Premier Inn are always reliable, you know that the rooms will be clean and the food served is always good value for money, especially their Meal Deal.
The staff are very friendly and polite and knowledgeable. Great stay
- E5724XUdavida (2/5): Utterly horrendous and vastly overpriced - The hotel was unbearably hot and as none of the windows could be opened, the whole place smelt musty and stale. Aircon in the bedroom stank of stagnant water so wasn't usable, which made sleeping nigh on impossible due to the heat. The bedroom and bathroom smelt really unpleasant, a mix of stale cigarettes and cleaning chemicals. The carpets everywhere were stained and dirty, and didn't look like they'd been vacuumed for a long time. The only positive was that the reception staff were lovely. Overall, a very expensive disappointment that marred our long weekend in St Andrews. We won't be staying there again.
- JudyB756 (8/5): As expected from Premier - Staff at this hotel were particularly helpful and friendly. Facilities were as expected from a Premier Inn and parking was free. Our only concern was the size of the premises. We were aware that there was no lift but did not realise the building was about a mile long with many stairs. Not simple for one with mobility issues. Also the restaurant was quite a trek. Another little issue for us was the height of the bath. A bit of struggle to get in and out for a shower. In future (we usually choose Premier Inns) I will fill in the added information box and ask for a room with a walk in shower and closer to lifts or reception.
- Sherpa02050400992 (2/5): Not great - All the floor in and around my room creaked something fierce, could hear everyone walking about sucks if you're a light sleeper. The bathroom extractor fan filter looks like it's never been cleaned out, and there was black spots in the grouting.
The heating in the room didn't work seems to be a common thing with premier inns, breakfast is a solid meh there's nothing premier about this premier inn wouldn't recommend. Try an independent BnB would be a better experience and value for money.
- dazp745 (4/5): Had better Premier Inn - Decor poor, mould, water damage, cracks in walls, very poor tv signal, breakfast the food itself good, difficult to find cutlery, a clean table & then no plates, found 1 had food & left.
- kellymarieo2025 (10/5): Cosy and friendly - Offers a great location at a reasonable price.
The hotel overall is clean and cosy. Staff are approachable and friendly and the food was nice.
- 197antonh (4/5): Terrible meals - We are regular users of Premier Inns. Overall a good experience, but the meals were TERRIBLE! We had 'scampi' and chips and a curry for mains. I would not give the curry to my cat, let alone try and eat it! Staff were overall friendly, but somebody needs to have a chat with the chef!
- tomfG4117CY (10/5): Lovely welcome - Excellent friendly staff, exactly the welcome you need after a 10 hour drive. 10/10 would stay again.
Useful local golf knowledge too :)
- Fearless227463 (10/5): Great stay - Our family room was very comfortable & clean with crisp bedding and fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious with friendly staff at hand when needed.
- robertbT6741FK (10/5): Great Experience at St Austell Premier Inn! - I'm writing to thank Lei-Lani and Mitch (Manager) at St Austell Premier Inn for all thier help in checking me in and securing a room on 4th September. Lei-Lani who cleaned my room at record speed deserve high praise indeed. The room was extremely clean and left spotless. Mitch (what a star), is a dedicated professional manager who clearly knows how to communicate with customers staying at the hotel and making them feel welcome, but who has the rare ability to care, communicate and manage his team too. Thank you and I will look forward to staying at the hotel again soon.
- NewStartWithParks (10/5): The Perfect Stay: One of the best hotel visits this year so far - One of the best hotel visits this year so far. Had been looking for a reasonably priced overnight accommodation before heading to Thorpe Park on 3rd September and with the dynamic pricing of Travelodge, this was the better and best option at the time of booking. My first time staying at a Premier Inn too.
There was only 2 minor things that were a negative but nothing that spoilt the overall stay which I will still rate as 5*.
There was in the room between the desk and the curtains, a cardboard cup holder and wooden spoon from the last guests who stayed in the room; nothing major as where it was, I didn't notice till just before checking out. The other part was I asked on the night before, as they have a seating balcony within the hotel, if you could vape on that balcony and the bar person said yes but the signs said no. Again, nothing major at all.
Otherwise, a perfect stay after travelling on an overnight coach from Manchester to London and a good sleep before spending 2 days at Thorpe Park.
- 672robbieb (10/5): Fantastic breakfast - Went for breakfast with family and had great selection of the cooked favourites along with the finest continental choices. Customer service was fantastic, big thanks to Teresa who seated us and took the time to show us where everything was and checked back on our table and took some empty plates away. She also chatted to other customers and was just in general very polite! Big asset to the team at this hotel. Keep up the good work.
- jalfrezi_boy (4/5): Tatty and remote - Staff are great. Hotel is tatty. Pub next door shut at 10 so if you want a late night drink then bring your own as you are miles away from any other pub
- Departure13576414211 (8/5): Ana - A Wonderful Asset to Premier Inn! - I would like to say a big thank you to Ana in the restaurant. When one of our party had to go to hospital and was late back to the hotel she took their food order and put it to the kitchen so that their food would be ready when they arrived back so they would not miss out on a meal that evening (as they would have arrived back to late to place an order before the kitchen closed) This was incredibly kind and thoughtful and much appreciated by our party.
- I2272FClucym (10/5): Good location - We enjoyed our stay at the premier inn. Comfortable beds and very tasty breakfast. We were concerned about our room facing a busy main road but we heard zero noise. Short walk into the main town but is also on the bus route if you do not wish to walk. Our second stay here we would come back. More affordable than most of the other hotels we considered.
- J7066URmarioc (8/5): Excellent - Good choice for its location close to Heathrow, the high Street and the train station, to get to London Waterloo It tales 30 minutes. Good food, friendly staff, tidy rooms and good value for money.
- chrisuk82 (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Stayed for 2 nights when visiting the area.
Our online check in via the app didn't work but the receptionist checked is in quick enough.
The reception and restaurant are on the first floor but there are 2 lifts to take you up.
Our room was also on floor 1. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and had great air con.
The hotel is right on he centre of Staines with plenty of shops and eateries.
It's also about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. Windsor was about a 15 min train ride away, Waterloo about 40 mins.
We booked breakfast for our stay. Day 1 it was pretty poor - seemed the food had been on the hot plate a while as it was all very dry (presumably as the restaurant was very quiet at the time we visited) however it was much better on day 2.
There seemed to be plenty of car parks around but we parked in Sainsbury's using the just park app. Less than £4 per day and about a 15 min walk from the hotel.
Overall a nice hotel which we would visit again.
- Camper33186504405 (2/5): Worst Premier Inn stay ever!! - This was the worst stay we've ever had at a Premier Inn and the first time we booked a Premier Plus room. We chose the hotel due to it's proximity to a wedding we were attending the next day, and given the time of year, we opted for the Premier Plus room as they come with A/C and a mini fridge to store cold drinks.
Overall, our stay and experience at this Premier Inn hotel was bad, very bad. Check-in was on the first floor, but the two elevators were broken, so we had to climb four flights of stairs with suitcases, suit bags etc. Once we reached the reception area, it became apparent that one elevator was completely broken, and the other could only be called from the first floor. This was a big issue for other guests that had pushchairs, mobility aids and one disabled guest who was in a wheelchair.
The 'self service' check-in did not work properly, and as guests, we do not get paid to do the job of a hotel receptionist. Once we had rung the bell, a staff member eventually arrived after quite some time. We were checked in and given one room key to share.
After getting to our 'Premier Plus' room which was booked for two people, we found only one set of towels, one bottle of still water, one bottle of sparkling water and no hand soap in the bathroom. The 'convenient mini fridge' was so small no other drinks would fit alongside the two bottles of water.
Dinner service was appalling. My starters (Calamari) was served cold, yet my wife's dish (Potato Dippers) was served hot. The main courses arrived but the chicken in my wife's meal was undercooked and still pink. Dessert was a disappointment as the 'Banoffee Cheesecake' was a New York Cheesecake with sliced banana and caramel sauce on top. The kitchen pass was constantly full of food waiting to be served and the service was so slow - only two staff members were available for the whole restaurant. It took over two hours to be seated, eat and get the bill, yet the restaurant was less than half full. At one point some diners who wanted to to be seated were told there was no availability for at least 1.5hrs, yet there were empty seats!
We requested the missing towels and hand soap be placed in the room whilst we were at dinner, but this didn't happen, so we had to go back down stairs and get them ourselves.
Breakfast was only slightly better because it was self-service and the cooked food was kept well stocked. One of the toasters caught fire and was only dealt with when I told a member of staff, who didn't know quite what to do. The milk was warm as the cereal section was in the wrong place, so the milk was always left away from the chilled area.
Thankfully our stay at this Premier Inn was only for one night, and based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
- jepa320 (8/5): Comfortable stay, great staff. - Comfortable hotel with a good bed, room was air conditioned. M and S next door as well. A 20 mins walk to town though. A high point was the morning manager, Grant Junior. He was polite, friendly and gave me a free coffee.
- J1388EKhelenm (10/5): Excellent s5aff and Inn - I had accessible room during my stay with walkin shower and it was all excellent!

- WeeScot (2/5): Hot hot hot - My wife and I have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. The location is great with free parking, Aldi & M&S next door plus easily walkable into St Andrews centre in 15-20 mins. We stayed one night in August and it was a poor experience. The air con in the hotel was not working meaning that the room was very hot with no way to open any windows. No prior warning when checking in with only a standing fan in the room which was useless. We had a terrible nights sleep as the room was simply too hot and musky due to lack of any free flowing air. Writing this review to warn other travellers to avoid the same experience.
- Sherpa380816 (8/5): Ok but could be better. - Stayed here for one night with my kids.
Pros: On-site parking, good location, comfy beds, nice breakfast
Cons: bathroom fan was broken, wi-fi didn’t work, lots of dust in room (dead spider on the carpet) and also on the windows at breakfast.
Got the room at a cheaper rate and had hoped to book a second night, but price had almost doubled. Suited our needs but could be better.
- 271hazell (10/5): Great hotel, made all the better by their staff. - The hotel was great, plenty of parking. Just next to M&S and Aldi. The Room, Bed etc were great but better Air Con wouldn't go amiss.
The thing that made the hotel stand out from any other was definitely the staff. The Reception, Restaurant and Chef were all amazing. Very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough. We would definitely stay again. 🤩🤩🤩
- sitaylor1 (10/5): Exactly what you expect from Premier Inn - Although the prices are noticeably higher than some other Premier Inns the rooms are exactly what you expect from Premier Inn. The location is good with adequate free parking and just a 20 minute walk into St Andrews centre.
