Guest Reviews
- ASP14 (10/5): Excellent, and will return - Arrived about 4pm and greeted very well at check in.
Popped our bags into our room which was clean and warm, then had a drink in the very welcoming Beefeater.
Paid for a meal deal and opted for the festive menu, beef sold out but it was 7pm, but not disappointed by the turkey.
Breakfast the next day was spot on and matched our meal the evening prior.
Would definitely return as slept really well too.
- 00brookest (10/5): Good stay - Stayed here after a night out in Bristol as we wanted to go shopping at cribbs the next day . Good sized and clean room , and a decent breakfast
Staff at check in were nice and made us feel
Welcome
- Christine (10/5): - Have stayed here many times. Always clean, quiet, and friendly staff.
- gainsborotraveller (10/5): Great stay - Great welcome. Very comfortable. Super meals at the Beefeater. Special mention for Claire and the kitchen staff. Super breakfast cooked fresh while we were there. And loads of parking
- happytraveller7773 (10/5): Comfortable nights sleep great breakfast lots of parking. - We were in a quiet room as requested, it was a clean and the beds were very comfortable. The receptionist was efficient and polite. The electric plug points were in a sensible place, which you can't say for every hotel and the room was dark when the lights were turned off, which is something we like.
The Premier Inn Parkway Bristol was everything you expect from a good hotel.
The Beefeater next door was spacious and the food was of good quality and plentiful. All the staff who served us we polite, efficient and friendly, thank you.
- megansX3500JB (10/5): Great stay - Only stayed for 1 night but had a great nights sleep before our early flight. Room spotlessly clean and bed really comfy!
- simonridley4469 (10/5): awesome experience - it was in an ideal location for us to stay near a friends house, the hotel was the cleanest one we have stayed in so far, you could smell fresh paint, the room was very clean and tidy, bed as expected super comfy and the shower was hot and clean. the breakfast was freshly filled when we went in and was very tasty. i highly recommend portishead for the friendly staff and well presented room
- 989nicola (10/5): Very happy with our stay. - Excellent Premier Plus rooms, excellent breakfast and the hotel manager, Angellica, is a credit to the hotel. The fridge in the room was a welcome upgrade and we felt the Premier Plus rooms were well worth the extra payment.
- malgorzatap450 (10/5): Excellent. Recommended - A very pleasant hotel, very clean rooms with nice decor. Helpful staff making our weekend stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.
- swilkins (10/5): Better than most 4 star hotels - Better than most 4 star hotels. Stylish room, comfortable bed, fridge, posh coffee, tea, toiletries, free wi-fi, free and plenty car parking
- Gailomar11 (6/5): Not the best night sleep - Fairly good experience, though beds aren’t as good as they used to be, mattress definitely not up to standard. Staff lovely and car park excellent and free parking.
- Road12973475629 (8/5): Pleasant Stay - The highlight of this Premier Inn is definitely how incredibly clean it is! The staff clearly takes pride in the hotel—it feels super crisp, with everything seeming new and fresh. It made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
The breakfast was also not bad either, offering a good start to the day.
Good rooms and good value for money
- peterbZ6528CK (2/5): Very disappointing and unsafe - Insufficient information about asking for a daily clean. When queried this receptionist was rude and surly. Begrudgingly took some clean towels to our room.. On return to our room we discovered she had left our room opened. She had failed to close the door 😡
A real disappointment and we have cancelled future stays as a consequence.
- 666leesal (10/5): Good value hotel. - Great value hotel in a good location for lots of sight seeing on a short break. Service and cleanliness was good. Good night's sleep due to blackout curtains and nice quality bed linen. Great for a short stay but we were staying 4 nights and a family of 3 so not enough hangers or hand towels supplied. No heated towel rails nor radiators to dry the towels either. Room felt a little claustraphobic as the window was sealed so could not be opened, never had that in a hotel before. Breakfast next door was good but they did not have hash browns one day and had to wait 20 mins for pastries to be cooked. Also the Sunday carvery menue in the room said til 6pm but when we went at 4.30 it had finished. The tables were all sticky and the toilets were disgusting at the Brewers Fayre so very dissapointing having paid for evening meals at the hotel to be let down by this.
- babslewis1955 (10/5): Goid value - Great location, tucked out of the way but short walk to the marina and high street. Walk to the Marina is a lane that has been tarmaced so can be a bit messy after rain but only takes a few minutes
- S4073GQpaulr (10/5): Excellent hotel. - One of the best Premier Inns I have stayed in recently. Some newly refurbished rooms of excellent quality & comfort. Feels like 'home from home'. Quiet rooms.
- X581CVericp (6/5): Just Ok - Not a bad hotel and nothing special just average.
Will stay again if i have to but will consider other hotels nearby as well
- Buggblog (10/5): Comfortable room for a restful nights sleep - Good location in Stoke Gifford, comfortable modern & quiet room, staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious at the attached Beefeater restaurant. Check in was quick & easy. Close to Aldi if you need to pick up any supplies. We enjoyed our stay here.
- peteJulie1036 (6/5): Usually good all round ,not this time sadly. - A visit of two totally different experiences. The hotel and premier plus room was as expected, clean tidy and well presented with the customer service from Mandy and Shauna 1st class, very supportive and friendly both showcasing what the good side of the premier inn is.
Sadly not the same experience in the Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel. The service started off OK until we sat down waiting for a bowl of porridge we politely requested, we tried to use the coffee machine not working went to other machine at which point the abrupt/rude lady in premier inn uniform loudly stated to a young man stop using you have not right to use. They then begrudgingly fixed other coffee machine , we were served porridge that can only be described as only fit for the bin 15 minutes after requesting. Cooked breakfast was very poor and I did not appreciate watching chef pile up hash browns and bacon with his hands and not tongs The continental offering was very poor, nothing refilled in the 25 minutes we tolerated, no crumpets, muffins, and just a odd few crumbs.
In summary we have stayed at Patchway 5 times and the restaurant and staff have been very good, today grim and the lady member of staff needs to learn customer and life skills very quickly.
- Kaz67g (10/5): Absolutely Brilliant!!!! - We recently stayed here for 3 nights & Mum had a premier plus accessible room & I had a standard double , even before we stayed the service was excellent, I emailed to check I could have a room near to Mums so I could assist her & immediately got a lovely email reassuring me it was no problem, on arrival the receptionist ( I think Emily) was extremely friendly & went above & beyond to help us. ALL the staff from management/receptionists to the housekeeping team were friendly helpful and went above & beyond. The rooms were very well equipped especially the premier plus . Premier inn you should be very proud of your staff in this hotel they are absolutely brilliant, & the hotel is very welcoming, very clean and extremely well run, we recently stayed at a well known upmarket New Forest Hotel and their staff were not a patch on yours. Highly recommended +++++++++
- I1482WVjuliec (6/5): Good hotel, poor breakfast - The room was very nice and bed comfortable, we did have a good nights sleep. Within an easy 10-15 minute walk of the High Street in Portishead.
What let the hotel down was breakfast. Sticky table, dirty cutlery, dirty glasses, carpet needed vacuuming. Scrambled eggs tasteless and strange texture, mushrooms tasteless, I could go on. There is a Sainsbury’s next door probably with a cafe and a Wetherspoons within a 10 minutes walk, perhaps better options.
- J1824MJsusans (10/5): Premier Plus room is brilliant. - We've stayed at several Premier Inn's but first time staying in a Premier Plus room. A little more expensive than the Standard rooms but well worth it. Really lovely decor, very smart and modern and lots of great facilities such as iron and ironing board and a fab coffee machine, with instructions, which is usually a problem at some places we've stayed. Spotlessly clean. Can't fault any of the hotel. It was spot on. Staff were friendly and welcoming and check in was super easy. We booked breakfast which was next door at the Brewers Fayre and that was great too. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was good quality. We were visiting family in the area and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. It's worth noting that Premier Plus rooms aren't available at every Premier Inn so check before booking in other areas.
- angelacJ5969HS (10/5): Lovely stay - Just stayed 2 nights for the woman’s rugby World Cup.
Great location for catching the bus to Ashton gate. 15 walk down to the marina where there is some lovely restaurants.
Lots of free parking.
Rooms are immaculate, roomy & very comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.
- Wanderer25519305732 (8/5): Hotel great. Beefeater, lovely breakfast, poor evening meal - Hotel clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Beefeater, good food and service for breakfast. Poor service and food quality, small serving for evening meal
- Minnie502014 (10/5): Highly recommended. Good food. Friendly staff - Very comfy as always.
Swift and friendly check in procedure
Free parking but you need to enter your reg number at reception
Ideal for Bristol Parkway Interchange
Good food and service at the attached Beefeater
Great value for money when booked in advance
- 211farhanak (10/5): Affordable hotel stay - It was a very comfortable and cosy stay. The ride to the hotel is also quite picturesque. It has two Sainsbury's nearby which makes it a great location.
- MEPik (10/5): Very comfortable and very helpful staff - Had a quiet comfortable twin room as a stopover on way to South West. Requested same room on return journey to include a bathmat. Staff were very helpful and sorted us out. Very good customer service.
- leepZ8706YR (2/5): Bad - Staff ineregated us because I booked two adults and a child which was 15 ! They didn’t believe that and caused a seen at breakfast I’m really not happy with this ! They should state when I book online if they want I’d for the child not two days into our stay, very disappointed
- Venture65551306333 (4/5): felt like a prison with all windows sealed - this hotel has every window of every room totally sealed and forces you to use the a/c which means no fresh air whatsoever.
for me this made me feel extremely uncomfortable and will never use a premier inn ever again . it was a terrible night for me . if you enjoy your fresh air i do not recommend this hotel .
- 519barneyk (10/5): 5 stars all round - I came here for the weekend and the hotel room was in perfect condition and the staff were accommodating. Even though the reception staff were on their phones a lot, they still answered all questions and queries.
- 926ashl (10/5): Lovely stay - Had a really lovely stay at Premier Inn. The room was clean and comfy and the staff were all really friendly especially Katy from the restaurant. Great value for money would definitely stay again!
- M1659XWjudithc (10/5): Worth a look - Stayed in Premier Inn Parkway last week and fully enjoyed my time at the hotel. It was a first for me as I usually stay in the centre but there's no going back. All staff were on point and customer service one of the best I've experience. See you again soon!
- acfchan (10/5): Fantastic Welcome & Service - Stayed for one night on 24th August 2025 and was greeted by the friendliest, most welcoming check‑in team I’ve met in a long time. Their warmth and professionalism made me feel instantly at home. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the whole stay felt effortless from start to finish. Highly recommend!
- 658tuesdayc (10/5): Great stay - Very friendly welcoming staff, check in/ check out process quick and easy, clean and tidy accommodation, no air con but there was a fan in the room to use would definitely come back again
- Resort05579537538 (4/5): Don’t stay in room 310 - Room was very clean and tidy, perfect for a few nights away, staff lovely and friendly. Great location however, do not stay in room 310, it’s next to the stairs and on Saturday night till 2 in the morning we heard constant banging from the door, then started back up at 6. The following night it wasn’t as bad but enough to put us off that room or any room next to the stairs. How they can sell these rooms are beyond me. They need to fix the problem, we also stayed here last year and they still haven’t fixed the problem.
- Zlte (10/5): Good experience - Stayed one night in a family room - relatively quick check in, clean rooms, has the essentials needed. Beds were comfortable and we all had a good sleep. Overall good value for money. Good location if you’re coming off the motorway and need a stop off.
- 983gordont (10/5): Great stay as always at Portishead, twice in 15 days - Stayed 10th July outward journey to Cornwall and 25th July homeward journey.
Both stays as we expect, great welcome and service, great room and bed and available fan as both evenings were warm. We had clean towel, bedding and tea making facilities.
Regular users of Premier inn around the country and used Portishead annually on our holidays to Cornwall. I receive what i eexpect from premier Inn, great stay no issues, friendly and supportive staff t reception on check in and out and if needed during stay.
- pamb368 (6/5): Avoid the eatery - The Premier Inn at Portishead was an o/n stay, we were warned there was ongoing work and were prepared for this.
the building itseld whilst clean is looking a bit tired.
The staff were Excellent
However, the eatery associated with the Inn is a Brewers Fare, as there were no other food options nearby we booked an evening meal and breakfast deal.
We were disapointed with the interior, the general cleanliness was poor. The floor, seats and skirtings were filthy where we sat. The garden area was even worse, overgrown weeds, seagulls landing eating food remains on plates.
No staff were dealing with this. There was a fairly lax attitude all round.
- richardpA2997UD (8/5): Haven in Parched Bristol - A lovely lady called Faye welcomed us to the hotel and couldn’t have been more pleasant and kind! She also took stock of our slightly bedraggled family status and happily informed us we had an air conditioned room! The room was bliss and the nights sleep was perfect thanks to the a/c. The pub next door was ideal for a drink and breakfast was perfect for our little team. Thank you Premier Inn Portishead for making some weary travellers much happier!
- Biscuit27 (10/5): Nice little premier inn - Good little premier inn with free parking. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean. There was no air conditioning but as it was hit they’d left some bottled water and a fan so it was manageable. We ate in the restaurant which was ok quality too.
- Wander42250860962 (10/5): Super hotel - Excellent ,,staff perfect ,,certainly had no problems with hotel, room and certainly no issues with the wonderful staff ,they deserve a badge of honour from the help they gave with a bad case of heat exhaustion ,,101 percent effort all round from all staff and ian thanks
