The room was in good condition, very clean and warm with minimal noise. The restaurant offered a contemporary and tranquil environment with excellent quality food and drink. An excellent experience overall with not a single negative.
• andreamA8421QV (2/5): Rooms not clean! - I booked 4 rooms for a special family get together! Three of the rooms were appalling! Full of mould dust and grime! Lights out, heaters not working and curtains on the floor! This is not acceptable! The Lady on reception was not interested! The smell of damp and dirt was not acceptable! The picture advertised certainly did not represent the rooms! The location and parking however were very good!
• HandyAndy63 (10/5): Great hotel and fantastic staff - Stayed here for the weekend for the first time. Got welcomed by Rob at check in, he was lovely and a real credit to the team. Had breakfast + dinner every night, served by Punam at breakfast and Michelle at dinner. The food quality especially for dinner was great. All the staff we met were great and really made our stay. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our bedside lamps didnt work but reported it to reception and they changed the bulbs straight away. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff at all. I love that you can help yourself to irons and ironing boards in reception and also lots of tea and coffee too as i there is never enough in the rooms for our liking. They really made our stay great. We will 100% be back again.
• 163anitae (10/5): Premier inn was standard but staff were beyond brilliant - Ended up in premier in pontypool as I was travelling to abergavenny but the roads were closed because of the storm. I arrived stressed and unhappy but Pippa on the front desk was brilliant. She helped me get everything sorted and completely bolstered my spirits even making me laugh. In the morning I had a nice breakfast and Lynne on the front desk was checking roads for people as they checked out. The premier inn was very standard in terms of comfort. I’ve not had a bad one yet but the staff who I spoke to definitely made the stay exceptional.
• danmR5028IR (10/5): Premier inn pontypool Nov 2025 - I had a great time staying at premier inn pontypool. Beds were extremely comfortable as always with premier inn, I swapped rooms due to TV not working in my first room but Emma on the dask got everything sorted promptly without fuss. Harvester next door isn't included with meal deals for the premier inn. The breakfast at the premier inn was great, I often stay at different ones and breakfast can be hit or miss but the chef Steven at premier inn pontypool serves fantastic breakfasts along with being extremely friendly engaging with guests and even helping other staff members. Great stay overall
• roberttM7643ZM (10/5): Excellent offering at the price point - We have stayed at Poole North a few times and think it is the best option in the price range. The rooms are always good * - large comfortable beds, good sized reasonably new TV, air conditioning, quiet at night, coffee and kettle; fast, reliable, free wifi. The bar and restaurant facilities are also generally good. OK, it’s not a Michelin star restaurant but the food is good, the staff pleasant and helpful and the prices quite reasonable. There is plenty unlimited breakfast is particularly good if you’re hungry. There is plenty of free parking at the front of the building so that is not usually* a problem. * we had one (last minute) stay where the only rooms available were on the ground floor and for accessible use (lowered bath, emergency cords etc). Unfortunately these rooms are quite poor compared to the usual rooms; smaller, not as well maintained and lacking some of the frills. This seems a bit unfair if you really are disabled and maybe the company should look at this. The car park was also completely full that night so we ended up in the one remaining disabled parking bay as well. Seemed justified in the circumstances.
• 211katg (6/5): Tired and smelly - Very mediocre and tired hotel. Reception lady was lovely, the position is great, breakfast was ok but pricey. Inside, the room size and amenities are fine but the room smelt damp and like drains.

• Mrluckyrob (10/5): Well run friendly hotel. - We had a very nice weekend staying in the hotel. What really stood out for us was that the staff were helpful, professional and very friendly. Breakfast was good with a good range of foods to choose from. We eat in the hotel one evening and were satisfied with what we had. Overall the hotel is well run and good value. Good points. Comfortable bed's. Spacious rooms. Ample free parking. Great staff.
• callumh764 (10/5): Friendly helpful hotel - Always stay at this hotel when I work down in Plymouth, staff are always friendly and helpful, especially Ruby Rooms always have a fan which for me is a must when staying away.
• 470dilipl (2/5): Avoid at all cost - Avoid at all cost! I was first given a room that had not been cleaned. The second room looked like it hadn't been refurbished since the hotel was built. The bathroom had a corner sink that wouldn't be out of place in a Trusthouse Forty hotel and an avocado-coloured bathroom suite. The furniture was falling apart and held together large wood screws.
• GoPlaces42574384352 (10/5): Professional and freindly service - Cant prsise the staff at this premier inn highly enough from the outset rebecca took care of our booking and car parking with a kind and professional manner and hasslefree we then were left gifts by fernanda in our room cassidy who checked us in and cameron who cleaned the room these 4 individuals deserve a lot of praise and are a credit to the premier chain will defo reccomend to friends and cant wait for our next stay

• L2247SUandrewc (8/5): good hotel will stay again - We have stayed in many premier inns the past 20 years and this was the first time we have stayed at Poole North. We have stayed in the past at the nearby Holes Bay so we decided to try this one. I tried to book in on the screen in reception (one was not working) and it did not recognize my name or booking reference number when the bar tender said that he could book myself in. The receptionist was very pleasant checking in and stressed that if we wanted to eat in the restaurant to book. Looking at the prices myself and my wife declined as we thought it was very expensive (£15.00) for just a plain burger. The room (room 7) was very clean and tidy, but we noticed there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling. We then discovered during the night the air conditioning could not be reset for some reason, this led to a very hot uncomfortable night for myself and my family. We managed to get the control box to work to enable the temperature to be turned down in the morning and we had a more comfortable second night. As we was staying for only two night we never complained also when we went past reception which doubles also as a bar area the person on was busy serving drinks. Despite the minor faults we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it is a lot better and more modern than the nearby Premier Inn holes bay. We will stay at this hotel again. The Carpenter Family

• Sellyoak1 (10/5): Great stay - 1st time staying at a premier inn. Everything from check-in to leaving was superb. The check-in was so easy. The room was huge with a lovely bath and yes the bed was so comfy. Very clean. Breakfast was lovely and we had 2 evening meals. All staff were so friendly especially one lady (Didn't get her name) she was seating you at breakfast (she had curly black hair in a ponytail), so jolly and spoke to everyone and was great with any children. This lady is an asset to your business. We will definitely use premier inn for our next travels.
• colinantony (2/5): Noisy and very rude and unfriendly staff - Firstly I stay in the premier inns at least five times a year,but this one was absolute chaos.Room 142 . Arrived very late due to a traffic accident on the M6. Pressed the buzzer for access only to be met by an abrupt receptionist,finally got to our rooms and the door entry key card didn't work back to reception to be met with the same rude women who blamed the system for not working, the next morning the bathroom shower and bath drain pipe under the bath panel leaked flooding the bathroom floor I had to hastily get dressed and run to reception,they send a plumber up he had to remove the panel in order to fix the problem, he then got towels of the house keeping lady and we both mopped up the water by the time it was fixed and I was able to re shower, I had missed the breakfast time slot.No apology or explanation then the rest of the stay was equally bad. Noisy hen party revellers on the floor above stamping there feet by having a room disco,at 2 AM.I paid £10.99p for a breakfast that was chaotic to many guests and not enough staff to come with the people wanting the full English Breakfast, hardly any items on the hot bed counter. Foodstuffs coming out at different times with a five minute wait for the items listed on the menu, I gave up and settled for just Beans on toast and a latte.The staff were very stressed and clearly didn't know how to cope with the chef shouting in the kitchen clearly not able to meet the demand of getting the food out to the customers! This is a big premier inn in future I would pick a smaller one because this one is clearly no good at coping with a fully booked hotel.And the reception staff should be re-trained in customer service!!

• 549vivm (2/5): Best avoided, unless you are desperate - Reasonable cheap hotel nicely located. But very cold rooms with limited sound proofing. Parking is £9 per 24 hours. The restaurant is a stomach bug hive, avoid at all costs. Plates and bowls absolutely filthy, food all over the floor and hostess was very put out when I asked to move to a table that didn't have someone else's crumbs and spilt coffee all over.

The food was great and came to the table in quick time. That was our first visit, but rest assured, we'll definitely coming back! A+++++
• TraceyA757 (10/5): One of the best Premier inns I've stayed in - The location of this Premier isn't the best as it's on a small industrial area with nowhere really to go on foot, apart from the local Burger King or Lidl. However, on arrival I was brightly greeted by Rob at the Reception desk even though I had chosen to use the check in auto point as he was dealing with another person at the time. There was a slight issue with my room card as i hadn't validated it properly on the machine but Rob sorted that straight away and also asked if i was dining in that night which I wasn't. My room was spotlessly clean and in good order. I was soo pleased that i could open the window for some fresh air, I always feel the rooms feel so closed in and claustrophobic when you can't open a window. I had a great nights sleep as it was lovely and quiet apart from the odd bit of traffic that i could hear because of having the window open (with the window shut it was very quiet). There is plenty of parking and you just have to remember to register your details on arrival for your car, there is a tablet right by the front door as you enter. Breakfast was nicely cooked, not overdone, the lady who greeted me was bright and friendly and showed me to my table and assisted me when i needed it at the breakfast bar. Overall i left with a lasting good impression of this Premier Inn and would definitely recommend.
• R228XSdaniels (10/5): Use the ful address... - The breakfast was great, and lots of it. Nice quiet stay with a good night's sleep. Friendly staff. Not that easy to find from the main road's as the postcode is not enough to get you right there. Worried at first that parking would be hard to find but there were enough spaces if you don't try and park right up near the door.
• 9Cromwell9 (4/5): It serves its purpose but do not expect to be impressed. - Decent location for exploring nearby attractions. Rooms were clean but outdated. The floor creaked constantly (both in our room and the room above), terrible placement of outlets and no control over the heating/aircon. Key cards to enter the room kept failing meaning a trip back down to reception. No attempt to control the noise of other guests outside. I've had better experiences at a Travelodge who don't charge anywhere near this price. Restaurant food was tasty, but some of the worst service I've ever had in the UK. I don't blame the waitresses, although one was quite rude (the other lovely), but putting only two waitresses in your decently sized restaurant is just never going to be sufficient. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to take away our mains (at which point we'd gone off dessert) and then a further 10 after we'd asked to pay! Wouldn't recommend eating here, unfortunately.
• H6696TBjanetw (10/5): Enjoyed Our Stay. - A lovely Premier inn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was good, especially breakfast. The menu for evening meals, got a bit boring. Several items weren't available and most meals came with chips. No pasta dishes on the menu. So I think that needs improvement. Apart from the menu, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily return.

• Oldwolf1971 (10/5): Plymouth town. - Lockyers Quay is on the edge of town and at the harbour side and Its in a great location for exploring Plymouth. The car park was busy when we arrived as there was an event on in the harbour and the car park is next to a pay and display car park. The rooms are great as we always do find a Premier inn, spacious, clean, big bathroom and comfy beds. If you have mobility issues ask for a room near reception as the corridors go on for miles. The staff are very helpful and polite.

• Z3224VFnatashad (6/5): Interesting experience - Rooms are equipped and clean, they are looking a bit tired in comparison to other premier inns we have stayed at. Under the bed had ripped fabric. I would not recommend having dinner at the restaurant we were told we couldn’t have an earlier booking than 7:45 which we were hoping would be earlier, when we got there service was good drinks arrived soon after, but the food wait was appalling we didn’t receive food until 9. The food its self was good once we had it, there’s a nice Toby carvery down the road I’d recommend using that instead for dinner. Breakfast was another story lovely service buffet fully stocked and a friendly greeting on arrival. This is our third stay at this premier inn and are hoping for improvement if we were to come again.

• Joe-and-Julie-C (2/5): Shambles of a hotel - I keep giving this hotel chance after chance, because the location us handy and the rooms are nice but.................... Time after time after time the restaurant is an absolute shambles. Checked in at 6pm and the restaurant was fairly quiet so went straight for a bite to eat. "Sorry no tables until 8:15" Came back at 8:15 and it was much busier. Was given a table and a menu with mist stuff crossed out......."sorry we don't have that, new menu tomorrow" Absolute joke of a hotel

The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and a light above the bathroom mirror was out. I was more tired after my stay due to a constant howling sound against the outside vent next to the room window. The room was dated and a little dusty. Would I stay here again.... Ummm no.

• TyconBoss (4/5): Very Disappointing - On arrival I wasn't aware that the parking wasn't included in the overall price, so I had to pay extra on top for each day I stayed. I don't understand this approach but if feels one way to squeeze more money out of you! The bedroom had no air conditioning so trying to get ready in the morning was a challenge! The window only opened up a little and the fan they give you just circulates the air in the room and make no difference whatsoever. In the end my partner had to do her makeup in the car as it was a lot cooler outside, and we could make use of the air conditioning! The bathroom had mold around the shower head and the sink took ages to drain down after being used. You could look down the plug hole and see large clumps of hair! We raised our concerns to the receptionist but unfortunately, they said there wasn't anything they could do! apart from checking out and moving to their other sister hotel next door which had air conditioning! but we would lose our money for the room we paid for. I wouldn't be in no rush to head back to this hotel.
• P1303LOtonym (6/5): Car park charge RIPOFF - The hotel is perfectly fine, the location is brilliant and we always stay here but the lack of air con and just a fan in the room isnt the best when its absolutely boiling... the reason i only gave a 3 is because you have to pay for parking which is an absolute rip off and is the reason i will pick somewhere else the next time we visit family.

The hotel itself is a little tired in places but all just cosmetic. It is the staff in this hotel who make it so special. Nothing is too much trouble and they all remain consistently cheerful and helpful. Sue, Lyn, Sue and Alison were present during my latest visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would like to give a special mention to Sue Williams. On our last morning, she was managing the tables at breakfast. The cafe area was full and clients demanding. She was amazing. She had the tables running like clockwork and anticipated all needs and requirements while continuing to smile😊. Thank you Sue and the team. You are wonderful!

• andymG2204DB (10/5): Rhiannon and the staff are amazing - Premier Inn you have some wonderful, warm and friendly super staff willing to go the extra mile Above and beyond. Our visit was for one night prior to a wedding. We arrived at 10-30 in the evening and welcomed so politely. We even had help with a dress that needed to be steamed to get the creases out. The following morning the breakfast was cooked to order and so fresh. I even had a problem with my dicky bow. The lovely Rhiannon was amazing and came to the rescue and my aid to help me look the part. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and have never felt this welcome before. We are already planning on another visit
• traceyrW8403LH (8/5): Pit stop during travel. - We have stayed at this Premier Inn before on a trip, so thought we'd stay again. The first time the room was nice and clean, but very hot, so had to have the windows open all night, and being at a busy junction, the road noise was constant. This time we stayed they had but a fan in the rooms, which was a nice touch This room appeared clean on arrival, but on using the bathroom we noticed several disgusting things that had been missed or skipped (see pictures). One looks like toothpaste on the back of the bathroom door, atleast, I hope it's toothpaste, and the second looks like a poo smear on the doorframe with added pubic hair for effect. Maybe give your cleaning staff a little longer, or have a more thorough check sheet. Over all, it was a good stay, helpful staff and a pleasant enough breakfast.
• lindasI7646AP (8/5): Fine for one night. - Stayed here for one night on our journey to Devon. Having spent the day with friends in Abergavenny we were very tired so slept well, despite traffic noise from the busy road. We had looked at the premier inn in Abergavenny and it was twice the price of this. The room was fine for what we wanted, the bed comfortable although I do find the beds to be very high, I'm 5ft 3in and can just manage to clamber onto the bed. We didn't have breakfast as wanted to get away early and eat further into our journey. Would definitely stay again. The lady on reception was lovely didn't get her name though.

• dragonkingdomw (10/5): Great hotel, fantastic breakfast - Enjoyed my stay at Premier Inn Pontypool. Such an easy check in experience with knowledge and friendly team. The room although dated was very clean couldn’t have faulted it. Topped with a lush breakfast the following morning, that started my day off right.
