Guest Reviews
- 570vaughnb (8/5): Granite city visit - Great customer service
Great price
Okay cleanliness
Nicely sized rooms and had a brilliant sleep. Great location nice and close to everything and friendly and welcoming staff
- CasaDnA (8/5): Warm welcome, Cold room. - Great location.
Quiet room which, unfortunately was cold upon arrival.
Had to ask staff for instructions and to ‘reboot’ the heating system which still blew cold air in the middle of the night.
Staff attentive, friendly, chatty.
Despite the fault with the heating, we’re repeat customers and will not let this experience put us off considering Premier Inn again for our stay in Aberdeen when we next visit.
- Beth097 (10/5): Lovely Stay - We enjoyed staying here!. Very welcoming staff. The lady that checked us in, served us at evening meal and the breakfast next morning. She was very efficient, friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again.
- A438CCewelinaw (10/5): Brilliant - We arrived to the hotel on Friday the 14th of November and stayed with 2 supported people until Sunday morning ( 2 nights ).
Since we arrived we were served by the professionals .
Staff was highly professional and excellent customer service.
We were all impressed with the level of care they served us with .
People who served us starting from check in and ending on Sunday morning were always helpful and approaching us with the highest manners and smiles on their faces .
Highly recommended .
Rooms standards were also very satisfying and prices very reasonable.
Especially thanks to staff Ewelina, Justyna and Marta and Tobias who were there all the time and always serving us with brilliant approach and positive energy .
There was another member of staff who served us on Friday evening and she also showed passion and commitment to her position.
Lady had dark hair reaching her shoulders level but unfortunately cant remember the name .
Very satisfied 😊 😊😊
- stevenjmuir (8/5): Business trip. - The hotel itself looks grim from the exterior, however inside was suitable and comfortable. Standard room and the breakfast was as expected. Good value.
- toots347 (6/5): Oh dear, disappointed this time! - I have used this hotel for many years now but it’s losing its way. Reception has been automated & there are no visible staff to help. One check in unit was out of order and stayed that way during my 4 days so no rush to be repaired obviously. The carpets & rooms are looking very tired but, to be fair, the hotel was spotless. My room was fine though nowhere to sit except an “office” type chair or the bed. Breakfast was, as usual, excellent. Efficient staff bustled about but I must say, and I don’t normally do this, one member of female staff was incredibly surly & rude when asked if fried eggs would be appearing. I’d been waiting for around 5 minutes. This lady really let her side down as the rest of the staff were very helpful. Overall that breakfast service was poorly organised. The two coffee machines were temporarily unavailable due to no milk in them (fixed quickly when I pointed it out) and the hot serving table was not being checked & replenished as often as it probably should be.
Would I stay again? Yes, probably, as its location and price are good value but its not as good an hotel as it used to be.
- ladydeedy (10/5): Excellent stay - Had a great overnight here from the very warm welcome to checking out late morning. The room was brilliantly designed. Small but really comfortable, quiet, and had everything you might need. Great shower and decent hairdryer too.
Plenty of choice at breakfast which was good value and staff were smiling and helpful.
The area feels very safe and it’s super convenient for multiple tube stations as well as shops should you need to buy anything. Highly recommend.
- G5631IUdavidk (2/5): Eat before you arrive! - Awful service in restaurant. Very neglectful staff. Too busy talking and watching TV.
Food arrive like someone had attempted to eat it already. Left before pudding arrived as waited half an hour since I’d finished. Not busy in the restaurant at all 4 members of staff talking and watching TV
- Sightsee689527 (4/5): Poor night’s sleep. - Hotel has a fairly grim exterior but we had a friendly welcome and the staff are a highlight. Unfortunately, the room itself did not live up to the usual Premier Inn expectations. The beds were very hard only surpassed by the pillows which were like concrete slabs with no give in them at all. We had booked a twin room but the beds were so close together, we may as well have had a double. The room was stuffy and hot but we could not have the window open due to the close proximity of the road below. If Premier Inn were offering a good night’s sleep guarantee, they failed to deliver.
- 279nevilles (8/5): Golfing break - Hotel in Ideal location and at a price to suit our budget. Staff very friendly especially receptionist and bar staff. Only negative is car parking. You pay £10 per day and are not guaranteed a space, very poor and needs to be addressed
- EdinburghShelly (10/5): Comfortable for short stay and great location. - Excellent location, close to Bank tube station but off the main road so quiet at night. Clean comfortable room and friendly, polite staff. The room was small but well designed with space for hanging clothes and a small desk. Ideal for a short stay and great value for money.
- Sarah-in-York (8/5): Small but perfectly formed. - Small but perfectly formed.
Extremely comfortable, tiny bedroom. Friendly staff. Everything as you’d expect other than a filthy carpet that needs to be replaced. (Room 205). Quiet despite being in the heart of the City. My room overlooked a courtyard containing trees - an added bonus. It’s v close to Cannon St and Bank underground stations. Has a Pret a Manger nearby as well as a Sainsbury’s local 5 mins away. It’s 5 mins walk from St Paul’s and the Millennium Bridge.
The hotel is a bit tricky to find as the lane it’s on is unobtrusive. Hold your nerve!
Unlike standard Premier Inns it’s not a completely dark room as the electrics are controlled by a touch panel in the headboard. Take an eye mask if this is an issue for you.
I’d definitely stay here again.
- dollyr350 (10/5): Super clean and so friendly! - Stayed for a weekend away here and it was brilliant! The rooms were spotless and the staff was so helpful! Breakfast was very tasty.
- 82billyp (4/5): Below Average - Start with a positive. Location is ideal.
Unfortunately a few negatives. Some staff nicer than others. Reception isn't the most welcoming. Can be waiting a while for staff to appear whether you check in or simply order a drink at bar. Hotel very tired looking, definitely in need of a freshen up. Room was very smelly, didn't smell clean and had a horrible room looking at back alley which was very grim. As I say a bit of TLC needed in Rooms and other parts of Hotel. The meal deal offered is very average, I got a starter, finished it and almost instantly out came my burger main, small burger obviously kept warm under a heat light, accompanied by maximum 10 small fries/chips at side. Felt like I was just given the bare minimum of hospitality as I had a deal.
Parking a nightmare also depending on when you arrive, not enough spaces for size hotel.
Could be so much better with some tweaks.
- writersam (8/5): Clean and modern - We have stayed at Premier Inn Hub hotels before so knew what we were getting, and this one didn't disappoint. I'm glad we opted for the larger room because I think the smaller one would have been a bit too small for both of us, but the larger one, though on the smaller side compared to other hotels, was just fine for a one night stay. The room was very clean and modern, and the downstairs reception area was nice too. We arrived a little early for check in but were kindly allowed to check in a little before 3pm. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the glass door to the bathroom as it didn't provide much of a sound barrier! It's worth noting for others that there is no coffee and tea facility in the rooms but you can go downstairs to get some instead at no charge. There were two bottles of water in the room, which was handy for us as I don't drink hot drinks anyway. The hotel is very close to Bank underground station, and all in all it made a great base for our stay.
- 884drewf (6/5): CUT THE TWO TREES DOWN . - On arrival its excellent that this inn has HGV parking but there are two trees right at the carpark entrance that make it difficult to access . Staff were good , room was fine , food was fine . Usual.Scottish standards.
- Inspire34118366845 (2/5): Poor experience - The heating in the room in night one was not working and the room was very cold. On night two the heating in the room was overrode by reception and the room was extremely hot. Unable to sleep properly.
- GailM94 (10/5): Great team and rooms - I have stayed here many times over the last few years and each time I have always had a great experience. The rooms are always clean, the staff are excellent and the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner has always been amazing
Thanks to Alisha, Evelina and Kerry for all their help, serving me wine and meals!!
- D2014CTwendyd (8/5): Great location & value for money - I stay here often and love the location. It’s clean, beds are comfy and staff are usually very helpful. It’s very warm and we always need the window open. The quilt on the bed is super cosy but in the summer months way too heavy. I feel they should be providing a thinner quilt during summer months or at least having one available in the storage unit.
- H1204VEjohnm (2/5): Bad - Boogies on the wall. There was a fan outside the room that made a loud noise all night. Insanely hot at night. Very dusty. Toilets smelt like a mix of old pee and beef hula hoops. There vending machine scammed me out of a snickers also we were looking forward to the breakfast all day and then got there and there were NO HASH BROWNS !!!!!! The room was very very crowded . Only one towel and there was no reception to give us other towels. Blue marks all over the shower curtain. We had to go to Asda and buy fly spray because there was so many flys. We were going to go for a nice beverage BUT the pub shut at 9pm. Abandoned cars in the field across the road made me feel as if I was entering a haunted house. The light was wonky. The view was a brick wall. There was a nice picture on the wall though. There was a skiddy in our toilet made me sick (literally) Would not recommend.
- Wanderer20402123681 (2/5): A very tired hotel with dirty rooms. Don’t stay here. - The location of this hotel is ok and just a short distance from Aberdeen centre.
There is no atmosphere although the receptionist called Elena was very pleasant and friendly.
The room was filthy. Curtains were marked with previous damp, sofa bed and chair had dirt and dust over them. Walls were stained and carpets dirty. It seems the cleaners are not cleaning to the company standards.
We have been staying in Premier Inns for many years, and this hotel was one of the worst.
I would not recommend staying here.
- alisonj419 (10/5): Brilliant experience at this hotel, definitely a 5* - My daughter and I had separate rooms at the hotel, it was our first time in Scotland.
We arrived at the hotel around 7pm on a Sunday evening after a very tiring 9 hour train journey, my daughter was starting at The University of Aberdeen so we lumbered in loaded with suitcases.
The gentleman staff member greeted us with a big smile and a very helpful manner.
The rooms were cosy, comfortable and clean, it was nice and quiet for the two nights I was there.
We used the restaurant in the hotel the night we arrived and the food was really lovely, it was hot, fresh and tasty. Really good value for money.
The next morning I had full breakfast which was a fry up and cups of tea, there was a great selection of food and the staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Second night I was on my own but the staff made me feel comfortable and welcome, they looked after me from the very start. I had dinner that night and a continental breakfast in the morning, great selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, hot and cold drinks.
I would like to thank every member of the staff who looked after me, for making my stay so comfortable and giving me a lovely sleep. I will definitely be back.
- FredF1781 (10/5): Great location, Great Service, All Great! - The location was convenient near two underground and one trail station. And there's pretty much everything you need near hotel like tesco, MS Food, Pharmacy, etc.. The room was clean. The service was kind and warm. And the Breakfast was great. I had a very nice 7 days.
- mrstuartsim (2/5): Poor - I came to collect overseas guests who were staying here and was issued a Horizon Parking charge. As a non-guest there was no way to register my vehicle, no staff on duty to help and nobody answered the phone.
I emailed the hotel immediately and never received a reply. In the end I had to pay the charge myself.
The lack of management presence, unanswered phones and ignored emails show very poor customer care. I will not recommend this Premier Inn to visitors and will direct them to other hotels in Aberdeen.
- SFDunlop (10/5): Premier Inn - Great Value, location and staff - Love a Premier Inn! Always the same standard, lovely beds, pillows and white fluffy towels - all member of staff team are very nice, super location with plenty of free parking and a short walk to a retail park that has an M&S Foodhall. Value for money is outstanding too.
- 600morgann (10/5): Excellent experience - Very helpful staff, quick and easy check in, incredibly pleasant stay overall. Nice clean room and very quiet at all times of day. Amazing location too. I would definitely stay there again.
- Hrothrekr (8/5): EXCELLENT LOCATION - Very good hotel...almost excellent. Superb location, friendly staff, good rooms and unlike its 'Premier Inn' big brother you get a better shower in Hubs (still not enough pressure), proper toilet rolls and a couple of bottles of water. Breakfast was disappointing, usually a benefit of Hubs as there's no fuss, just the stuff that I want to eat for £8 which is great value. However on my first morning there were no free tables so I had to take my breakfast, already not that warm, up four floors to eat in my bedroom. The following morning I was told at 1000 that they had just finished which was odd as their website suggested they offered breakfast until 1100. There are breakfast menus in the rooms...why not mention breakfast times on them? It isn't good enough to say "you would have been told on arrival"; lots of things were said on arrival after a long and busy journey. However this is a really good hotel in a fab location and I would definitely stay here again (and get down earlier for their incredibly good breakfasts).
- emmatN2379XA (2/5): Are you disabled? If yes, avoid!! - Whenever I travel I always book premier inn as it is USUALLY a good experience. This hotel stay however was awful. As a disabled guest I required disabled parking, this was extremely difficult as a lot of the disabled spaces were either too small or had cars from adjacent spaces intruding into them. I had questions regarding parking charges but when I went to reception there was no-one there and after pressing the buzzer (several times) and waiting, no-one showed up. I checked in using the machine and activated two key cards. Both cards stopped working at different points in our stay leaving us locked out of our room. This wouldn't have been too bad if someone had been there to help us! Again no one at reception and both times we had to go looking for a staff member for help. One commented that she had seen me waiting earlier but when she had returned I had left - I had gone to sit down as I am disabled and cannot stand for extended periods of time which seems to be a requirement to get service in this hotel. I had a terrible nights sleep as the windows were open upon check in and the room was freezing. I couldn't raise this with staff or discuss the good night guarantee because again, no-one was available! Breakfast was cold and didn't taste great. It was a relief to escape the hotel and we will not be staying again.
- Sistersister123 (10/5): Warm, welcoming and comfortable stay. - Excellent location walking distance to city centre & Cadonas / Aberdeen beach. Location is perfect for bus route to P&J Live / Aberdeen airport. Family rooms very spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Hairdryer in room, not great but serves a purpose. Showers in room were fantastic, excellent power from them. Tea & coffee facilities provided and availability to get more from reception area if required. Bar area and restaurant area warm and bright making them pleasant to sit in. Hotel spotlessly clean. Onsite car park a great addition and at £7.40 for 24hrs parking very reasonable.
- Inver75 (4/5): Not good - First room (17) you could smell the dampness in the corridor before we opened the door
It took 20 seconds for my wife yto reject the room due to the overwhelming smell of dampness and foost
Back to reception, no hassle room 40 swapped to ,no reply made to comment of dampness and asking if they had a flood
Room 40 ok at first more towels supplied from reception as only 1 hand and 1 bath towel in the room
On return at 10pm the bar was shut no chance of a nightcap
However on going to bed the duvet not the cover stank of a smell simliar to curry ..the same with the 2 pillows on the bed ..not the sheets and pillows but the duvet inside the cover
Luckily spare pillows were better
Slept without duvet covering us
Plenty of noises during the night sound proofing rubbish people talking outside the window kids noisy next door
Couldnt even be bothered reporting it to the staff and getting the standard answers
So if this is your idea of a nice hotel ..be my guest
Ps.supply of water and toiletries exceptional great for getting the smell of curry out of your hair and body
Wont be back Sorry
- KSEH1 (10/5): Solo traveller - This is my second stay at this Premier hub. as a solo female traveller, I felt very safe here which is why I chose to stay again. The staff are really friendly, and the room is really clean, modern and although I visited in August I found the air-conditioning to be very good
I really like the set up of the Premier Inn hub rooms, although I think they would be more of a squeeze for Two.
I had breakfast on both mornings which, despite being a smaller offer than the main Premier Inn hotels were still really good. I also liked that I could help myself to tea and coffee at any time (note there’s no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.)
Great location, I stayed here and did a lot of sightseeing and found the local tube networks really helpful. I also enjoyed a solo evening walk around the city. I cannot rate this highly enough and we will be staying again.
- stevenjmuir (2/5): Poor Premier Inn - I booked this hotel for business. I turned up and checked in, booking a table for 7pm for the restaurant next to the hotel. I turned up just before 7pm and no reservation was made? When questioned the receptionist she said she just of “forgot”. The restaurant was quite busy and I had to wait a further 30mins to have food. The room itself did not have air con and was extremely hot. Would not use again.
- lollonemesis (4/5): Only for a few days! - The central location is very good, as is the breakfast (very generous and offering both sweet and savory options).
The staff is friendly and polite, but not very helpful when it comes to requesting extra items for the room. Twice I asked for things I needed for my room, and both times, after being assured that they would be brought to my room, I had to go down and get them myself at the reception desk.
Finally, the room is very small, too small for two people, and the bathroom is made of glass and located in the middle of the room. As a result, there is no privacy, and it would have been better if this information had been clearly stated during the booking process.
- Climber673201 (10/5): Worth a stay for the breakfast alone! - This Premier Inn is in a great location. The cooked breakfasts are outstanding, well done bacon and sausages! Bedrooms are fine. The free wifi is not great but there is an option to pay and upgrade.
- N2257RPmartinb (8/5): Great overall - The hotel was up to all the Premier Inns normal high standards.
The carpark is very small, very limited numbers. If you were lucky enough to get a space, you dare not use the car, because chances were, there wouldn't be an available place when you came back, even when you had paid for it.
- 050564 (6/5): Car parking bad feature!! Daylight Robbery. - £10 a night for parking is way too expensive!! Stayed 3 nights, so an extra £30 on the price of my hotel room, was daylight robbery. Such a shame as this will ruin any future stay cations.
- W7629VUstevenc (8/5): Ideal bijou hotel in a good location - Yes, the rooms are a bit bijou (i.e. small) but for a short stay the hotel is very well placed for shops (Boots, M&S food, Sainsbury's etc) and very close to stations (rail & underground). The staff are great and the whole place is so quiet. Hard to believe you're in London. We opted for breakfast which was good (and good value at £8) and bottomless! Highly recommended.
- glenmg2024 (8/5): Comfortable for price - The hotel is a bit old and tired, however the rooms were clean and fresh.
My only gripe that it was too warm and there is no air con
The food and service at the restaurant was great
- joaniebinedinburgh (8/5): Reasonable - Reception staff very friendly. Room fine, usual Premier Inn standard except there was no air-con and the room was 25 degrees. We opened the window as much as we could but firstly it was on a latch so couldn’t be fully opened which made sense as we were on the ground floor and secondly we had an unexpected knock on the door towards midnight and we think someone was trying to get into rooms. Somewhat worrying as there no longer was a chain for the door. Also you don’t need to use your key card to gain access to the floor, so it felt a little unsafe.
We had the dinner and breakfast deal and the restaurant staff were excellent. Food was what you would expect for the price point.
- P9886YTedwardf (10/5): High standards as always - Very clean room with usual spec and we had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and the food was plentiful and good standard. The waiting and serving staff were very good and extremely helpful. Always good service at this premier inn staff and a credit to their company.
- NumberZen (10/5): Very good - So the rooms are small but they’ve been well thought out which is perfect for a decent place to crash.
The rooms are ultra modern, very clean, bed is comfortable, shower is excellent and the aircon a god send.
Breakfast is decent and the staff very helpful and polite
If all the hubs are like this one then I’ll start using instead of premier/travelodge etc
I was very impressed
- 149daviep (10/5): Go To For Golfers - Warm non fussy welcome, rooms immaculately clean, great value and I will be back. Ideal for access to the golf courses in the Aberdeen area. The bar next door stayed open for us on a Sunday night, that was appreciated.
- TayyabaKhalil (6/5): Needs Improvement - They have very bad air conditions in the room ... The room is really small, even then they don't get cold.. You'll start sweating if you are simply packing your luggage. At night, the air condition stop cooling the room. I had to visit reception on 2 consecutive nights to ask what is the issue... After checking, the receptionist told me that it was automatically set to 28 and it stopped cooling the room.. Even though, they told me we have set it to 19, there was a slight change in the room temperature...
Other than this A/C issue, hotel location is good. Free coffee is also available throughout the day.
- rhiannonf630 (4/5): Good but hot… - The hotel is absolutely lovely, room was great for what we needed. However, we did not get an ounce of sleep because our room was 26 degrees. My husband went downstairs at 4 in the morning to ask if our A/C was broken and the man told us it was at 26 degrees and shouldn’t be that hot! Told us he fixed it and it should work but it didn’t, both ended up sitting down in reception drinking glasses of ice cold water in their nice cold a/c until the sun came up. We were booked in for 2 nights but absolutely could not stay a second night so actually stayed at a different hotel nearby which had great air con. We were told to use the fan in our room but all that did was blast the hot air around. Paid for 2 nights and only stayed one because of the unbearable heat. My brother was also staying at the hotel and said his room was a lovely temperature.
- SueN0603 (10/5): Can’t fault it!! - Really can’t fault this hotel!
Yes, the room is small, but it was smart and clean and we had everything we needed. We booked a king size room, bed was really comfy. Blackout blinds very effective! Clever use of space - loved the mini wardrobe behind the full length mirror. A proper hairdryer too!! The lights and air con all controlled by a very easy to use panel above the bed. Shower good too!
There is a nice little bar in reception, and the breakfast they offer is simple but very good value.
The staff were friendly and welcoming too.
- 93linneal (10/5): So good! - It was a really good stay that me and my boyfriend had. I was suprised how good it was! Breakfast and the super service was so so good! We really don't have any complaints.
- mrsmaureenm2015 (10/5): Close to many attractions in the city - Streamline no fuss rooms, that were really comfortable and had full air-conditioning/heating, a welcoming atmosphere in the centre of the city close to St Paul’s and just across the Thames from the tate modern and borough market. And 2 minutes walk from the underground station
- mbeno145 (10/5): Perfect little base in central London - Stayed here for 2 nights and really happy with it. Would definitely stay here again.
The rooms are small but that is expected with it being a hub version of premier inn. Perfectly fine for two people just using it as a base and not spending lots of time in the room. Bed was really comfortable. There is plenty of storage under the bed and 5 hangers for clothes. Bathroom was good standard, with nice powerful shower. Everything was perfectly clean.
The breakfast was great for £8 each. Just a smaller version of the standard premier inn breakfast.
Location was great. 2 minute walk to Bank underground station and 10 minute tube to Kings Cross. Easy 10-15 minute walking distance to Borough Market and Tower Hill areas, as well as Liverpool Street.
Not much open in the area on a Sunday afternoon / evening.
- liamfM4836ZY (10/5): brilliant stay - again it value for money. its my go to place now..staff are so nice and the place is clean. also away from everything but also most things very close aswell. there's a huge shopping centre a stone throw away..
- 498bobw (6/5): Hot hot hot - Nice hotel, great staff, clean and functional but it was way too hot in the room. The air con said it could take it down to 19degrees but the air was not cool, we reported it to reception several times and they were very amiable but could do nothing about it, no window to open so had no choice but to leave the door to the hallway open, it would definitely stop me staying there again, especially in summer, which is a shame because everything else was great!
- jessefH6252HI (8/5): Clean, simple and central + HUGE bed - Massive bed, very clean, super central. Ideal for our short stay. The staff were friendly and it was overall pretty quiet for being so centrally located. Tea and coffee aren't available in the room but they are available in the lobby free of charge. Also no fridge in the room - not a big deal but good to know if you're wanting a cold beer or wine.
- N2304AZlisas (10/5): Great stay - I thought this was going to be very basic and the room tiny, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Staff were all really friendly and happy to help - storing bag in the day and also the next day, filling up my water bottle - nothing was too much trouble. Complimentary coffee and fruit was a nice touch too. Room was basic, but had everything we needed and was big enough for a one night stop over in London. Super comfy bed.
- L5058YCannes (10/5): Good value hotel, friendly helpful staff - Good value hotel ideally situated for the beach esplanade and close to the city centre. Adequate free parking at the hotel. Room was good with comfy bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Extra tea and coffee available on request. Breakfast and evening meal good and staff in hotel and restaurant friendly and helpful. Special mention to Julie and Andrew at reception who were ready to help with any requests. Will use this hotel again if in Aberdeen.
- jamesdS7087JV (10/5): Great. - Hotel lovely, clean tidy rooms, staff excellent especially Natalie at Table Table @ Mill Of Mundurno. A great bunch of people and friendly staff. Breakfast cooked to perfection and very enjoyable and lots of choice. Can't complain at all.
- petemase26 (6/5): basic but clean and tidy - clean tidy and comfortable, pub with generic pub menu next-door but decent food, m&s is across the road to get lunch n snacks for work. Not much else in walking distance but i was there for work so it was fine. be ok on a trip as on a main road aswell.
- shionas367 (10/5): Good Experience will stay again - Very comfortable bed and friendly staff who were very welcoming. Staff offered assistance if anything else needed during my stay.
Usual accommodation from Premier Inn so nothing else to add but to say bed was extremely comfortable. Will happily stay there again when i visit Aberdeen on business
- EmmGee73 (6/5): Nowhere like the usual PI Standards - Booked for my son and I to have a base during a swim event nearby. On first seeing the hotel as we drove up I commented how run down it looked but was sure it would be up to the usual premier inn standards once we were inside.
However I couldn't be more wrong! Our room, on the ground floor, was extremely tired, dark and dingy and the bed divan had no sheet covering it and it all just looked really uninviting . The king-size bed was too
high off the floor , though it was actually not too bad comfort wise and the pillows were good. There were signs of mould and damp in the bathroom and the floors didn't appear very clean. The floorboards creaked horrendously, waking up my son when I got up during the night and we had a lot of noise from adjacent rooms until after 1am
I'm really curious to know if we were just unlucky to get an uncared for room, or if there are different standards available and how can you ensure you get a nice room?
The table table restaurant was good and the food was great and reasonable priced. The staff were extremely overworked and definitely stressed telling us they were 6 members of staff down so it was a bit of a shame especially given the hotel was so full with many swim teams. They were doing their best but the atmosphere could have been better.
Really don't think is go back to this hotel unless I knew for sure I'd get a room that resembled what you see on the website

The hotel is always clean and tidy.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Always a good experience.
I never leave with anything other than good things to say about my stay.
- joanney443 (6/5): Comfortable beds and clean, that's the only reason to stay. - The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the location was perfect for us visiting friends. Things we did not like, the hotel wanted £15 to give us a room key 45 minutes early. Our room was available and already cleaned, we travelled 6 & half hours via car and made good time. Upon check in we was not informed of breakfast time and where breakfast was located, we went down twice to ask but nobody on reception. Our room had a hole in the ceiling from a leak although that did not bother us. At 2am the room got extremely hot (24° and 28.5°!) even though our thermostat was turned down to 16. Tried to run a bath on the last morning but there was no hot water. Overall an average stay.
