Guest Reviews
- 845jaronm (10/5): Prem staff silvana - I stay here a lot with work and silvana is amazing with her service helped me with reservations of the room I prefer as been a regular here and very friendly towards myself from a customer point aspect
- F9382FQpault (10/5): Eda’s exceptional service - Really great hotel. Service outstanding. Food served on hot plates and really great value for your money.
Eda on Tuesday served me for breakfast and was there again for dinner. She is exceptional at service and an utterly nice person too. Having to cover the bar and to serve everyone’s food, she was outstanding.
- X6275PXclaires (10/5): What a great cheap hotel - Great service, very friendly staff
Good food
The room was lovely, bed was very comfy. Omg the shower was soooo good!!! Would highly recommend.
- F1720BZtimothys (10/5): Great service - Brilliant service leila was fab room very comfie and service was great would use again and recommend to other friends and fellow workers.
- nicholase657 (8/5): Welcoming rooms and staff - Outside was a disappointing view when you turn up but inside it was very clean and welcoming , we had a really comfortable atmosphere in our room with fridge , iron , coffee machine etc
- S7143UGrichardb (6/5): Not up to standards - This hotel is in a lovely and, for me, convenient location.
However money needs to be spent, tatty, smelly, damp room, not cleaned well.
Famous comfy Mattress... Not comfy
Definitely needs updating and improving.
Lovely Staff though
- Keri82 (8/5): Ticked the boxes of what we needed for a one night stay - Tara was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make myself and my daughters stay as easy possible due to our hectic schedule. Our premium room was quiet, clean and spacious. Car park had plenty of spaces, location great for access to Christchurch town centre. Breakfast was average but there was a decent selection of options.
- GWR802 (4/5): Contractual Obligations not met! - Paid for an early check-in after 11:30, arrived around 13:30. Ten minutes ringing the bell to get a reception person. Rooms were then prepared for our use!
- S211QSryanc (8/5): Great Stay - My stay was positive. The room was clean and comfortable although the rooms are little tired and some investment is required. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Leila on reception who went the extra mile to make sure my stay was positive. Overall, I’d happily stay again.
- markfF5246LB (6/5): Bang average - 25 min to check in as they were so busy! Rooms are basic but ok, food in restaurant is bang average at best…. Not everything on menu is available, and they chuck you out at 10pm!!
All in all it is a pretty rubbish experience really and only worth staying if you can’t find anything else!
- AnotherBusinessUser (6/5): Fairly standard Premier Inn! - Heating mediocre at best (put heating on upon arrival, over an hour later and the room temperature had only gone up by 0.3C)
No sign or direction to the room (nor “normal” hotel room numbering).
Pillows supplied were quite soft.
Staff polite and friendly.
The TableTable restaurant attached was timely with reasonable service and quality, however, my food allergy wasn’t forwarded to the waitress and I was served with inappropriate food (which I obviously didn’t eat!).
- lechk2018 (8/5): It does not have much of an atmosphere. The hotel is functional as is the pub - The hotel is in a convenient location for Clacton, probably 15 minutes away. We have stayed here before. The pub needs redecorating S
OON!!
- Angelmum186220 (10/5): Gold Star Experience - Check in was super easy. Met at Reception by 2 very friendly and helpful ladies. Explained meal times etc to us.
Room was as described. Comfortable and clean. Can't fault it.
My only observation would be maybe it would be good to have bath mats provided for using the shower.
We paid for a meal deal. Our evening meal was lovely. We treated ourselves to a cocktail which was amazing. Food was delicious.
I think the lady working on the evening of October 18th was possible called Samia ?? I just want to give her a big shout out .... she went above and beyond. A gold star
Breakfast was again delicious and the ladies working were friendly and welcoming
Would definitely come back again when in the area
- X5906CGamandal (2/5): Disaster dirty dated scuffy. Worst hotel weve ever stayed in. No plug next to bed for cpap. noise disturbance laughing banging - Catologue of disasters.
We arrived there was no plug next to bed for my cpap arrived around 6pm was advised to putchase an extension lead .
Cleaniess dirty mugs on arrival musty smell in room black mould in bathroom dust on bedside lamp tatty worn carpet damaged bathroom door and filthy skirting in bathroom.
Noise level had a disturbed night sleep doors banging people shouting laughing all night not sure if it was guests or staffroom next to our room.
Dated dirty and scuffy worst hotel weve ever stayed in not premier inns usual standard.
Wouldnt stay again
- MikeG5055 (10/5): Good receptionist. - My checkin service was very good. The receptionist was very helpful as I had a few challenges with my reservation.
Unfortunately “drop in” reservations are no longer allowed, and all reservations must be made on-line. Not everyone has modern phones which would make this an easy task.
There should be a kiosk in the reception where reservations can be made.
- H6617BQpeterc (10/5): One if my Fav Premier Inns of the many I visited. - Great Location, very quaint area. Connected Restaurant Histiric Coach House from 1800's. Friendly Atmosphere with a lovely welcome from Robyn who was extremely helpful. Room large airy and clean. Good modern bathroom with bath and integral shower. Nice modern suite. Tea Coffee Station, ☕️ 😋 Great.
Very good value 👏 Thanks Premier Inn Cobham Hotel. Go to many Premier Inns and loved this one. Love the Palm Trees at the Reception Entrance. Fab location, just a short hop off the M25. Will come again.
- ruthhJ6355AH (8/5): One of the staff (Eda) really helped us feel at home and was very helpful, even when we were a bit late for breakfast. - The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and other areas were clean and tidy. We had a very relaxed stay, which was essential as we were preparing to go to a funeral. Eda told us how to walk into town safely. I wanted to find somewhere to buy some flowers and she gave some helpful advice.
- Z2307ZPandreww (10/5): Great food great hotel - Fantastic hotel very clean, staff very professional with great food at reasonable price. will come back when I am the area again
- M6364LLsophiek (10/5): LOVED IT - Lovely hotel and staff. Room was cleaned well. Big spacious room.
Breakfast was lovely. Easy to find and access.
No lift.
Good value for money.
Only complaint is the paint was flaking and falling away around the windows
- 317heleny (8/5): Not quite what a premier inn experience used to be - Stayed recently for 2 nights. We are regular visitors to a premier inn and have stayed here a number of times but not for the last few years
Our room was fine, up on the first floor just down from the lift. Clean room, comfy bed as normal. The heating was good as it was was cold when we stayed
The adjoining restaurant, one of the reasons we stayed here, is no longer open to the public. It is only open for breakfast and evening meals. When we visited we were the only ones in the restaurant. This resulted in us being centre of attention with the waitress back and fore to our table constantly and we could see her watching over to us the whole time which wasn’t a very relaxing experience. The food was very average, pizza and burger, the deserts were made with frozen fruit which was still frozen when served. Clearly things are kept frozen due to the small amount of customers. However breakfast both mornings was excellent and the breakfast staff were lovely
As we have found on our last few premier inn stays the reception staff aren’t what they used to be. Not rude as such but customer
Service doesn’t seem to be the top of their list.
Rooms are also not made up like they used to be, although tea coffee etc is available in reception for you to take as needed
Although our stay was fine the Premier inn experience definitely wasn’t what it used to be.
- samj907 (10/5): Great Staff - Very nice staff on reception. Very nice location with restaurant attached. Recommend staying for business or pleasure.
- briancN4141CN (10/5): Great hotel, friendly staff. - I have been stopping here for about 4 month's for work, the staff especially Leila and Sarah, are helpfull, friendly and any request is done with no hassle. The rooms are large, clean and quiet.
- christina175 (6/5): Good Value but no Room Clean - This was our second stay here. Good value . Pretty nice room & comfy bed . Decent bathroom . Only one hand towel and one bath towel provided for two and no room housekeeping provided despite requesting it ! ( thought that should be a given anyway - it’s one of the benefits of staying in a hotel surely and part of what you’re paying for ) Breakfast is adequate in nicely decorated adjacent pub .
- highlandmajestictour (10/5): Fantastic Management & Staff - I have been staying at the Premier Inn on many occasions over the years since 2010
It has always been a fantastic place to stay whilst in the area, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I have used this hotel over the years for work and also for leisure but I have to credit the fantastic and amazing staff over the years for their fantastic hospitality.
As I am writing this review now since staying here since 2010 I have to praise the fantastic team of today, especially Sarah the manager who goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable, safe and enjoyable as possible, always smiling pleasant and professional. Sarah is a true credit to your company.
One of Sarah’s team members is Leila, again a very nice lady with a welcoming smile and does everything to assure your stay is as comfortable and safe. Again another credit to your company.
Well done to all the team here at Weeley a hotel I thoroughly enjoy staying at and will do for years to come.
- lindsayo340 (6/5): Basic but comfortable & good price - The beds are very comfortable. Friendly staff and good location, easy to get to Clacton seafront or to Colchester. The hotel is looking tired and in need of a refresh. Good price for what you get.
- Paulie1965 (8/5): Premier Inn, Cobham - The location in Cobham was perfect, we were welcomed in a friendly and polite way by Denise, the rooms we booked were clean, large and set up well. We had breakfast in the morning at The Fairmile and again we were welcomed in, clearly explained where everything was and had a lovely breakfast, with great service. Thank you
- markharmans (4/5): Bad management - The food is ok but not great
The outside is disgusting dirty cigarette ends all over the place cobwebs everywhere just needs a manager to get a grip also when my wife and went for a meal in the evening there where lads in the bar with a moped what are the staff thinking of
- Vacation67958020649 (2/5): Worst night sleep - Need to invest in air conditioning. Too warm, even with 2 fans. Smell in corridor was overpowering with damp. Rooms cleaned very well but with strong cleaning product to mask this (in our opinion). Room window overlooking petrol station and mcdonalds meant very loud. Not very good when room so warm.
- 648debim (6/5): Average - not a bad premier inn but the advert doesnt match what you get beds are not big queensize like lennys advert they are two singles pushed together lumpy mattress and nothing like we expected
- briangT5057SE (4/5): Not Great - Arrived late so went straight to the room, a lot of noise from arguing guests woke us in the night, went on for a while and no one intervened, Therefore we were very tired the next day, not a restful sleep at all. In the morning discovered that although we have booked a room for two people they had only supplied one bath and one hand towel, so we had to manage with a small hand towel or get dressed and go to reception then return to shower, we managed. Went to complain about the noise and the towel situation but no one was on reception and no response. Wouldn't stay again, i have stayed at Premier Inn for years mostly for business and feel that the standard has dropped in both cleanliness and service.
- 175helenam (8/5): Reliably friendly and welcoming staff - Unsure whether it’s how staff our selected for Reception at Premier Inns or how they are trained or both, but in my experience always friendly & helpful. Good value. Clean. Comfortable mattress. Limitless tea, milk and water available.
We bought prepaid breakfasts. Plentiful because it’s an all you can eat buffet - I had fresh fruit and granola. We also had veggie cooked breakfasts. OK for the cost. Love the mini teapots and coffee OK too.
- 416ChristopherC (6/5): A bit tired and in need of an update - You know what you're going to get when you stay at a Premier Inn which is why they're often the first choice for many people. Just thought that this branch was very tired, we were in room 18 and it was definitelyin need of a bit of TLC andor update. No Aircon so have to have windows open and very close to a large McDonalds and busy roads.
- Britrunner (4/5): Poor reception staff and in need of repair - We were not provided glasses for toothbrushes in the bathroom. The receptionist stated that this was now standard for Premier Inn hotels, which I find suprising as this is the first time we have had this problem in a Premier Inn hotel. The room needed more sockets, especially near the beds. There were a few areas that were poorly maintained with the need of replastering and repainting.
The details of our paid breakfast was not sent to the pub associated with the hotel. This meant that I had to go back to the hotel reception to get proof that I had paid for tge breakfasts for myself and my partner. There were 2 staff on reception and they were discussing room availability. One of the staff asked me what I wanted and after I told her that I needed proof of payment for 2 breakfasts she carried on talking to the other member of staff for nearly 5 minutes. It then took her another 3 minutes to find the details on the computer. This member of staff thrn walked over to the pub with me to confirm my payment. So my partner waited 10 minutes for me to get this proof before we were allowed breakfast.
- smartie-iow (2/5): Disgusting! - Arrived around 1.30am after holiday and was looking forward to a good nights sleep. Walked in the room to a disgusting smell, the curtain was hanging off, the beds weren’t made, one of the pillows was dirty, there was rubbish on the bathroom floor, the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould and 1 set of towels even though family room for 3 was booked. After looking in tripadvisor we saw quite a lot of bad reviews so even though we had paid for breakfast in advance of the room was anything to go by I wasn’t going to risk eating the food the in the hotel. Will never stay here again
- 294mjj (10/5): Such a wholesome experience!!!! - I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday get a way for a few days and it was soooo lovely!! Our room was made to perfection and we even got some yummy treats and a card which we did not expect at all, everytime we come here we are always well looked after and cared for and the food, drinks and customer service is always a 10/10!!
- philipn998 (4/5): Very poor experience with Priemer inn - We stayed on Friday the 15th for one night. When we checked in we were told the rooms were very hot due to the Air con not working. When we opened the door to the room it was like stepping into a Sauna . The staff had put fans in the rooms but all it was doing was moving the hot air around. No bedding on bed just a sheet . So the nights sleep was pretty poor. About 4 hours sleep if that .
In the morning at checkout the reception staff was not bothered about our complaint . My mother and father in law were staying in one the accessible
Rooms. They went to use the shower chair but it was covered in black mould . There wasn't a quilt in their room . When we asked for a quilt for them a staff member came with it knocked on the door walked in and just left the quilt on the bed. It was a good job we were with them to help put the quilt cover on . We have also done an online complaint regarding this stay and to-date no reply.
On a positive note. One member of the house keeping staff went out her way to help us. Her name was Mel such a lovely lady .
- timrF7435DQ (6/5): Did the job - Monday night in August did not come cheap at £136 and you now need to add £3 which did seem a bit penny pinching.
Double bed with a sofa bed by the window, drink making facilities along with a TV and a hairdryer etc. We even got a bath which was a nice touch.
The room location was a let down as it involved stairs and no lift option we could find? I would ask next time for a room in a better position.
Helpful staff at check-in who tried hard to be helpful.
- jkF924IM (10/5): Fantastic surroundings - We had a lovely stay at the hotel with a outstanding pub next door serving Exceptional food. Room was also nice and clean. Very comfy beds. Staff very helpful.
- annecY206MA (4/5): Staff need to learn sympathy/empathy - Overall stay was good. My daughter was taken into hospital Sunday evening and needed emergency surgery. We returned late Sunday evening/Monday morning. We were 5 minutes late for breakfast and asked if we could have some toast and tea. Polly was extremely rude and said no. A little empathy would have gone a long way. She also apparently turned the warmers off 6 minutes early the next day..
- Dig1959 (8/5): Nice hotel. Pity about the attached pub/restaurant. - Regular visitors to Premier Inns, but this was our first visit to Christchurch West.
Our early check in was fine, as was our room. Reception staff polite and efficient. Room clean and tidy. We prefer a walk-in shower, but the bath version was ok. The kettle was dodgy; had to hold down the “on” button until the water boiled. Reported to reception as we left. So, overall, content with the accommodation.
We didn’t use the attached pub/restaurant, the Bailey Bridge, until the last night of our stay, for a drink only. It is a sizeable place but the bar was bereft of beer pumps; only Coors, Madri, Moretti and Guinness were available - three globally produced, equally tasteless lagers, but no ales ( not even the ubiquitous Doombar). I managed to get a decent drink by way of a bottle of Sharps Atlantic (why not available on pump?) but things then got worse when my wife dared to ask for a brandy. The two bar ladies were polite and did their best to be helpful but could not locate a bottle anywhere. A study of the drink bottles on the shelves at the back confirmed not only that brandy was nowhere to be seen, but also that minimal other choice of spirits was available either.
So, a question to Premier Inn: why is this modern, reasonably sized, hotel attached, gastro pub so poorly stocked?
- MerlinFalcon42 (10/5): Traditional Premier Inn experience. - Having seen mixed reviews about Premier Inn's Christchurch West Hotel, I had mixed feelings, but was happy with PI's reputation and our past experiences with them (we, as a family, go to a different PI each year). As such, PI at CW, looks a little worn and well-used, but the Family Room was clean, all the amenities worked and was perfect for our needs. We had the meal-deal and the evening meals were as good as ever (probably a good idea to avoid asking for pints of soft drink for the kids, as this was found to be quite pricey, something like £8 per pint glass! The staff are well-versed in asking about and addressing allergies and have folders for people to check ingredients against meal selection. There were menus to peruse in the room, though it would have been nice to see details of the Meal Deal there too. The breakfast has taken a step away from the buffet style, here, one gave the server your choices, with whatever quantity wanted and one's plate was brought to you pre-loaded. The desire or ability to overfeed oneself, is technically there, but we did not feel the need to ask for seconds. The coffee machine works well, but the addition of a hot-chocolate machine would have been nice. All in all, a good selection of foods for breakfast and tasty as ever. Check-in and check-out was easy and the staff helpful and cheerful. While there was plenty of available parking, overseen by cctv, the PI itself is quite well hidden amongst various car showrooms.
- 165gillianf (6/5): Not the best Premier Inn - We stay in a number of Premier Inns and although the room was as expected and comfortable, the service (with a couple of exceptions) was not.
Firstly, it is very difficult to find. We tried to phone, but no one answered the phone.
The afternoon staff on the desk for check in are unhappy and unhelpful. The Ultimate Wifi was difficult to use and the staff did not help. The hairdryer kept cutting out and when we asked for another one, a very grumpy person told us that they were all the same although she did get us another hairdryer. She came from the back and was still eating her meal when she got to the reception desk.
The staff in the restaurant were helpful, especially the Russian lady.
- sarahtV585EQ (6/5): More team needed - Lovely room as usual. Staff seem to be struggling a bit with computer systems and having to multi task with reception duties and cleaning. A few computer problems meant that a request for a WiFi code couldn’t be fulfilled which we had prepaid for. One breakfast was a good thing, the 2nd not so much, in fact it was disappointing which is hugely unusual for a Premier Inn. Have the impression that a few more team members might help !
- T9660XAleahh (4/5): Disappointing - Staff were lovely and very friendly, but unfortunately the bathroom was not clean and there was pee down the side of bath and on the rim of the toilet. Also hair on the wall and bath.
Didn't sleep very well to much noise from kids, we were put in a room with a dividing door and could hear everything through it and there was a kid and it kept waking me and my children up.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing food was warm not hot so went cold half way through eating it. Not really any choices of cereal. And they only provide semi skimmed milk.
- Mikey_on_Tour2013 (8/5): Well placed premier in - The hotel was nice, nothing above and beyond but it was not below expectations. Staff at reception were nice and it was in a good location.
- charlottemJ6052NE (2/5): Dirty and dated - Hotel was not the best room was not ready, no towles in room, room stank of damp was really dusty, sink was blocked, soap was hanging of wall, breakfast was disgusting, stayed in many premier inns as usually fab for price and breakfast usually really nice, made staff aware of issues in room that evening was told to sort it in the morning, would definitely not recommend this hotel
- samanthasP1930PH (2/5): Felt like a hotel from a horror movid - Worst premier inn I’ve ever stayed at.
Full of spiders. Needed updating desperately, and a deep clean.
Breakfast was lacking the next day and was only from 7-9 which feels a bit harsh if you aren’t up for work.
Put me off the brand altogether. Wouldn’t return.
- D6260JZjames (8/5): Beautiful setting - convenient location - Having read many of the reviews I was nervous about this hotel however I was pleasantly surprised by our experience at the premier Inn Cobham.
Hotel was fine for an overnight stay, a little tired but no major issues. Beautiful pub next door. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast as expected with premier inn
Only complaint is the room was very hot and no air con
- V9550QKkarend (6/5): Ok, nothing special - We stayed here for the weekend we had a double room. No plug sockets by the bed, on pulling the furniture out from the wall to search for some, we discovered loads of cobwebs, don’t look like it’s seen a hoover in that area for months. However an extension lead was provided almost immediately.
We had dinner in the evening in the adjoining restaurant (Table, Table). It was extremely slow we was in there over 2 hours! The staff were run off their feet even though the restaurant wasn’t full.
The food was nice. The children were definitely flagging towards the end due to the long wait for food.
Breakfast the next morning was lovely, although we were told we couldn’t book any earlier than 8am due to being full. I went down earlier than 8am and it was totally empty, so someone was fibbing!
It definitely needs an overhaul as very tired and in need of redecorating.
- B3749OYgeorginap (4/5): Sorry PI .. this was the worst PI we've stayed in so far .... - The service at the front desk was awful from 1 person. The lady who greeted me at check out was fabulous who had worked the night shift but the lady at check in was awful... rude, hostile, uncaring and argumentative. She did sort the issue however there was no apology or understanding from her. Luckily I simmered my friend down as the issue was to do with her room not being ready and she had specifically spoken to the hotel twice to ensure she could have the early check in so she could be ready for a wedding (it was costing her £15 for this privilege). The issue was resolved within 10 minutes however the way it could have been dealt with would have made things better. Also a member of our party was turned away from breakfast due to "not paying in advance" even though she was happy to pay there and then. What kind of hotel doesn't want to make the extra money? She got sent off to Greggs in the end away from our party... I would understood if they had been rammed but they weren't even that busy and it was a breakfast buffet !
We stay at a lot of Premier Inn's and always had a great experience so with these 2 issues it was a bit of a shock and left us all rather unsatisfied, albeit it did the job for the night. However we found out after our friends who stayed at the wedding venue had paid less than us and had a lot more for their money/better service, needless to say we were the losers in that situation.
The cleaners deserve a big shout out though for the standard of cleaning and for ensuring the rooms were ready for us as quickly as possible.
Good things - beds, rooms good size (depending on which one you go for), tea and coffee extra supplies available at reception to help yourself to, cleaning standards good, some staff were welcoming & outside space and parking.
- 233petrat (4/5): Gone downhill - We've been here a number of timew before over the last few years but this time it felt like it had really gone down hill. The hotel was grotty and rhe room had mould in the bathroom and smelled of damp. The soap dispenser was snapped and unusable. The usb plugs were broken and unusable. The curtains were stuck and couldnt be opened. A member of staff at the restaurant went to the toilet and didnt wash their hands. Overall disappointing. However, the lady on reception was very friendly and the location is still convenient and there is easy parking.
- 1971Allie007 (6/5): Grotty - We stay in Premier Inns quite regularly and this is by far the grottiest we've ever stayed in. Looks ok driving up to it, reception is quite small and receptionist was efficient. The room was extremely run down and dirty and have attached photos to show how disgusting the window ledge was. Bathroom stank of sewage and was also run down. Had dinner in the restaurant across the car park. I had soup which was barely warm so sent that back. Family on the table weren't happy and complaining as a number of things on the menu that they eanted to eat and drink were't available. To be fair the waitress we had was really lovely and helpful and quickly changed my soup.
We'd had a long journey and day and was looking forward to a lie in before breakfast and noticed that breakfast was only served till 9am, despite it usually being until 10.30am. This was not made known before booking and there was a laminated piece of paper on the desk informing us of this. I've read on a previous review someone was refused entry at 8.50 am.
At breakfast my son wanted scrambled egg which was cold and hard in places. No coffee machine, it was a single flask made up and was lukewarm. No croissants available and only tubs of flavoured yoghurt. I had toast which you make yourself as usual in a Premier. First time through the toaster made no difference so put it through again, 2nd time through it started smoking heavily and caught fire.
Needless to say we don't recommend this hotel and won't be returning.
- erikacK6280JR (2/5): The worst - I regularly stayed at the premier regularly due to the close proximity to my workplace and had overlooked certain things because the location was so convenient but my last visit was absolutely my last. I checked into the hotel and went up the room to find that the room had not been touched since the last person vacated it. The room was stale and musty having not been aired all day, dirty sheets , empty cans on the unit and a fan still running on high speed in the middle of the room. I returned to reception to tell her the room had not been cleaned and she apologised and offered to change the sheets as there were no other rooms available. I told her that would not be enough as the room was stale having not been ventilated all day. I asked to be moved to another hotel but as it was 9pm she couldn't find anywhere. I called my employer who was able to assist in finding another hotel. Previous visits have been poor, with dirty cups in the room or poorly cleaned bathrooms. The hotel generally is of a poor standard and pretty depressing especially for the price which can be expensive on some weeks. On this occasion I had paid £200 for the room received a full refund after making a complaint. I will not be returning there as there are other options and will no longer compromise my standards for the convenience of its location.
- leeg772 (4/5): - Rooms are crazy hot 19c outside 29c inside hot stuffy no air crazy hot humid windows open only 3inches whole building is hot no open windows .needs windows put in the fans in room are rubbish need to buy fans that actually work.
- nickyk446 (8/5): Not complaining, just suggesting. - •Very comfortable beds.
•Tidy and clean room.
•Environment friendly by saving water.
•Need better training for kitchen and service staff in Restaurant area!
- livinginwales (6/5): Understaffed - The exterior really needs maintenance all the paint is pealing, and it looks really run down. The interior is ok, and the staff are welcoming. The restaurant is in the next door former 'table table', it is only now open for hotel guests. We couldn't get a table in the evening at the time we wanted in the restaurant even though it was virtually empty as only 1 chef on ( but this is a common issue) in Premier Inns, so we ate elsewhere. The optics in the restaurant bar were poorly stocked, and it looked like it was closing down. We had the included breakfast the next morning and it was cooked to order, there was only one waitress and lots of guests but she took the orders and served the food quickly, the food was well cooked. I would only recommend for an overweight stay if you can get a cheap price any longer stay would be depressing. The car park requires you to key in your registration and confirm your length of stay otherwise you get a £100 fine. Google maps won't take you to the hotel ignore the instructions and take the turning after Hendy Land Rover and follow the road around to the parking the signage is poor
- isobellec2016 (8/5): Family visit - Upon arrival the receptionist is very friendly and great you with a nice smile and a warm welcome. I needed an extra towel for my hair and she happily went and got me one, upon arriving in the room as there in no apt committing, they had a fan on cooling the room. The next day my husband had a slight situation and Sarah was very kind and helpful. Staff are just so nice.
The hotel itself, it is in need of a refurbish. The rooms are sufficient for what you need, but……. The sand walls are drab, and the bath should be changed so it can be cleaned properly? We were in room 60 and it overlooks a field and a car park. There is a very bright light just outside the window, and therefore you cannot keep your window open, as the moths fly in! Then early in the morning loads of crows wake you because of the field opposite. And a coach driver at 6 in the morning, because he is parked under your window has his engine running and talking with his door open was frustrating.
You order your breakfast from the pub next door, and whilst the food is good, and the staff are nice, the place looks like it could do with a good scrub. Terrible seating area if you had a drink in the afternoon on arrival, and they don’t clean the tables when you leave, they just take the glasses. The whole pub could do with a complete revamp.
- P5433SPheatherw (10/5): Best Premier Inn so far…… - Truly wonderful premier Inn at Weeley Clacton. Manager Sarah and staff were truly amazingly helpful and extremely professionally welcoming kind and caring. You can clearly see that Sarah has trained her staff to the above and beyond standards. We felt welcomed and valued as a guest upon every visit. Rooms are spacious , very clean and beds are comfy with crisp clean bed linen. Would most definitely recommend this Above and beyond Premier Inn. Thank you so much Sarah and your amazing team for making our stay a truly welcoming one. We commend you Employee of the year award. See you again soon. Heather & Brian.
- Kingfisher19 (4/5): Disappointed - Have been there before but not up to standard this time
Shower taps not working properly
Toilet flush not working properly
Fan provided inadequate power
Did not raise at the time as only stayed one night.
Room furthest away from reception and possibly being used as room of last resort.
After leaving discovered about 16 bites on my shoulder which could only have come from the bed or mosquitoes in the room as widow open due to the heat.
- AlexRBrowne (2/5): Avoid in the summer months - Avoid in the summer months. The good bits: free parking, garage and electric charging onsite.
Bad bits: pub/dining shuts before 10pm. Bathroom stunk of urine. Beds were like cardboard and rooms were all +26 degrees… no air conditioning, and the windows only open a free inches.
