Guest Reviews
- Poppyfluff1 (10/5): Perfect stay and convenient location. - Excellent as always! We booked one of the accessibility/ reduced mobility rooms which was just what we needed.
All of the staff were very helpful and kind, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
- T6847QCrobt (10/5): Great staff - Reception were so helpful to help an issue with my booking and accommodate another nights stay, really great.
Great location on the outskirts of the town centre.
- P6256ZFjohno (10/5): Lovely staff - free parking. - Always very friendly staff. Ample free parking (rare these days) Tania In the breakfast room always very chirpy and friendly. I stay here just to see Tania's smiling face in the morning.
- kevintO3198GQ (8/5): Good value for money - The hotel met and in a couple of areas exceeded our expectation. The reception we received was first class. The rooms and facilities are no less than one might expect of the brand. However, the location is not great if you want to leave the car parked up but hey there is a tram service not far away.
- paultS3652XG (10/5): Thank you Tania - I used the grab and go service for the week I stay and got to say how pleasant and professional Tania was she remember what I had from day 1 she is a credit to the company

- I3306TXpatriciar (10/5): Fabulous staff, room and hotel. - We stayed one night, October 10th as we were going to a nearby wedding. The gentleman who checked us in and out the next day could not have been more helpful, friendly or professional. He was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome even though he was quite busy. We spent a very comfortable night in our spacious room and the next morning a lovely lady served us out breakfast. She was cheerful and very pleasant also. We will use Premier Inn again. Thank you.
- 845lewisk (10/5): Lovely stay - Very friendly staff, the lady behind the counter was very informative. The beds are extremely comfortable but the signal isnt great, not premier inn issue but mentioning it to say get the ultimate wifi
- 764gwynt (10/5): Premier Inn, Cwmbran. - Always Pleasant, approachable and friendly. Very well taken care of and understanding. Tanya and Emma and the rest of the staff are a credit to premier inn.
Would highly recommend staying here in Cwmbran.
- pepelahc (10/5): My Stay at Premier Inn Croydon - This is such a quiet and peaceful place with excellent rooms, 5-star cleanliness. Had the best breakfast roll ever😊. Friendly and available staff.
The free wifi was abit slow up stairs if this can be checked
- Leighton (10/5): - Freindly
- 425MargaretH (8/5): Good stay - Friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel. Wi-fi could be better. Useful to have mini cab availability. Rooms comfortable
- Darren James (10/5): - Friendly staff and excellent service
- victor190214 (10/5): Thank you Tanya - Upon arrival at the hotel today, I was warmly welcomed by Tanya. Her exceptional service and positive demeanor made an immediate and favorable impression. Tanya's assistance with the iron and ironing board, while my hands were occupied, was greatly appreciated. She is a valuable asset to Premier Inn, and I commend her exemplary service.
- RebbyMillz (4/5): Damp and smelly - Upon arrival in the car park, things looked promising. From the outside, the hotel looks modern and reception was clean and welcoming. That is where the positives end.
The room STANK of damp as soon as we opened the door. Inspecting the room, we found the bathroom door to be swollen with moisture and damp patches all over the walls - including behind the sofa. The bed was way too high and difficult to get on to (I am a 5’6 woman so not exactly short), and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. Thought about sleeping on the sofa but that was equally unpleasant. Even the shower wasn’t working right, with the controls wired in backwards, meaning you had to turn it to cold to warm up etc.
We have had to wash all our clothes and our hair as soon as we arrived home, as the smell has lingered on them. Needless to say we will not be returning.
- cazcoll (10/5): Wonderful staff , friendly, food and room excellent - All the staff were amazing they all went above and beyond
Thank you for making my stay so comfortable and welcoming , friendly
- 574siant (10/5): Great Premier Inn - Perfect overnight stay. We only needed a bed and shower in a convenient location as attending a wedding nearby. Lovely staff, large spotlessly clean room (it looked recently refurbished) and comfortable beds. Hotel quiet and we weren’t disturbed by road noise despite room being at the front of the hotel. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. It restored my faith in the brand after a disastrous stay at a Premier Inn near Gatwick airport at the beginning of the summer.
- I4998IOjons (10/5): Good breakfast. - This premier inn is well placed for Croydon and is easy to get to from the M25, the staff and helpful but not to overbearing. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very well presented.
- pablum2025 (10/5): Excellent customer service - Stayed for 3 nights excellent service from reception team and housekeeper.Thank you for providing water bottles during our stay
- ayoa564 (10/5): Excellent work - Excellent breakfast, Charlotte was very welcoming and she checked on me to make sure all good.
Top notch breakfast above all breakfasts I ever had.
Great service
- smithy20139 (2/5): Terrible stay dirty out of date rooms - Terrible room cleanliness
Broken cabinets
Leaking pipes
Mold on the bathroom ceiling
Dust
Toes
Stained carpets
General dirt through out the room
Shocking
£200 for 2 nights disgusting.
We have contacted premier inn about this and they have refused to acknowledge this and saying they are not interested .
Photos don’t lie guys beware
- sallybeescomb (4/5): Dirty. - The room was quite dirty, the shower screen was gunky and there was stains on the armchair. There was a duvet in a bin bag under the bed. The wifi didn't work in my room. It was the cheapest thing available and did have free parking, but for £180 for 2 nights (not including food mind you) i would have expected better.
- I3688EEracheld (10/5): Great service - Had a bit of a disaster and my booking didn’t go thru properly and I didn’t realise until we got to the hotel. Amy was so helpful, calm and a credit to premier inn. She sorted a room and made up the bed for our little one. Very helpful and welcoming
- GoPlaces00793809837 (10/5): The best! - Very clean and tidy. We visited for comic con and it was a lovely place to rest between travelling as we travelled all the way from Southampton. We especially loved the little gift from Emma P, we've never had anything like that in a premier inn before so that really made our visit! The staff on reception were also friendly! We will be back!
- shaunphoenix (4/5): I can’t believe this hotel is still operating - By far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The WiFi does not work, if you are with O2 you can expect no phone reception whilst in the hotel. Room climate controls do not work, or do not exist and the windows have limited opening. Moreover, the TVs are not smart enabled, so no YouTube or apps available.
Currently building works are being done and although this finishes at 17:00 every day, the noise does stop. The constant noise from all the builders outside slamming work van doors and sitting in the vehicles with music and engines running carry on until late at night.
On a positive note, the staff here have been extremely supportive and welcoming. I can honestly say that I have witnessed firsthand the patience and professionalism far above the expectations of such a run down hotel, which otherwise would have made this an unbearable experience.
Furthermore, I would like to highlight the lady at the front desk who was working the evening/ night shifts, I believe she needs recognition for her attitude and knowledge that exemplifies the best in hospitality. I honestly believe that due to the outstanding service and hospitality, this staff member has exhibited that she would not be out of place working in a 5 star hotel.
- ivanrY6368RU (4/5): Lovely staff, smelly room and the worst wifi i have ever experienced. - Wifi was utterly awful, I couldn't even watch a YouTube video without leaving the device to buffer for twenty minutes. Webpages would need to take minutes to load and my laptop barely even registered a signal. I get that Premier Inn are trying to push their "Ultimate Wifi" however it shouldn't come at the cost of a basic service that every hotel should offer within their room pricing. It was by far the worst wifi I have ever had at any hotel.
The room was comfy enough but smelled really bad of damp. The window had been open before I went in and even after leaving the room for six hours it was still there when I got back.
The staff though, we're lovely. Very personable and welcoming.
- geofft309 (10/5): A great place to stay - Always a warm witty welcome from Tanya,Pamela,Emma and Courtney. Rooms are clean and fresh, also Charlotte and the team do a great service in the Ashbridge restaurant. A relaxing place to stay
- Lat577 (10/5): Best in Cwmbran - Great place to stay, we are here at least twice a month. Always clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and any issues resolved promptly.
- rebeccagX1669UJ (10/5): outstanding as always - brilliant staff, very friendly and cannot do enough for you, really enjoy staying, clean and fresh room, cannot fault it
- courtney09123 (10/5): - Stayed at the hotel for my engagement party upon checking in ben was brilliant, tanya had set up such a lovely surprise in our room. Jess and angela on housekeeping were brilliant thank you all
- KevinandElaine (10/5): Great base for a concert in Cardiff!! - What a great base for a weekend or few days away in Cardiff. I don't think we have ever known such friendly staff at a Premier Inn (and we have stayed at a few). Do not be put off by the exterior, possibly looking a little tired. Inside, it is just fine and everything you need it to be. We had Sunday lunch and breakfast at the adjoining Ashbridge Inn and they were good.
The train station is a 20 min walk from the hotel.
The Welsh Transport lay on extra trains for special events in Cardiff, so you can get back to Cwmbran late at night.
- paulgN8170ZW (10/5): great staff - Excellent staff especially Amy and Courtney so helpful polite and well presented. Lovely people great food and a comfy bed what more could you want.
- donnalA6734QY (8/5): Quiet stay - Quiet hotel slept well. Stayed here for the oasis gig to avoid silly prices. Train station less than a 5 minute drive away. Room was a little dated but we slept well with no noise which was most important to us.
- R5071ZGyvonnes (8/5): Hot, hot, hot.... - Good location, great "Table Table" restaurant next door for breakfast & meals which was really good, staff lovely & very approachable & helpful, the hotel probably needs a refresh at some point but all clean & tidy. Plenty of parking & only 20 minutes in the car from the ICC in Newport. But the room was so hot it was quite uncomfortable overnight, the air-con could not be set below 19C which is pretty hot & even talking to reception they advised it could not be turned down below that temperature, also no fans available either. Surely an air-con system should be able to reduce a room temperature to below 19C. Because of the hot room my travel companion & I had pretty poor sleep on both nights of our stay. Sort it out please.
- jacksZ9616DZ (10/5): Comfortable stay friendly staff - 5 minute drive to the town centre lovely pub next door where the food is lovely!
The rooms are clean and spacious!
The staff are really friendly and helpful! I am staying here on business in a long way from
Home and the lovely hotel staff offered to wash my work uniform. highly recommend this place whether it’s for business or pleasure
- christopherr990 (8/5): Poor front desk service - Room as expected to Premier Inn standard. Reception greeting and customer service poor. Upon arrival no greeting and the male staff member on a personal phone call. Waited several minutes for recognition and then the attitude was one of inconvenience!
- Voyager55760252687 (10/5): Perfect - Perfect price, service, comfort and consistency are hallmarks of premier Inn . My first choice for short stays across the UK
- rajkumarvivekk (10/5): Exceptional, Quality, Comfortable Stay - I was in London near Croydon recently, and was looking for a place to stay with my partner. I chose to stay at Premier Inn, South Croydon and I was so impressed. Surrounded all around by greenery, the place sits nicely in a peaceful area. I was skeptical about how clean the rooms would be, but I was amazed at the cleanliness and how spacious they were, the bed was so comfortable that I had one of the best sleep in a long time. Staff were very welcoming and friendly at all points during my stay. The on-site restaurant, Beefeater, had good options for Breakfast & Dinner, and It was a delightful dining experience for us. They have free parking which I feel is convenient & advantageous for travellers with vehicles. I definitely recommend this property, especially for it's serene environment, comfort and top quality service.
- intekhabs2025 (10/5): Best premier Inn in croydon - Best premier inn I stayed so far.warm welcoming from teams and excellent service provided during my stay.room was spotless clean .nice and quit location . Free parking as well lot of space.they do real good deal on meal deal. Worth to try good selection of menu
- lovem784 (10/5): Absolutely lovely stay! - The hotel welcomed us with cold water after a long drive and sweet treats waiting in our room—such a thoughtful touch. The housekeeping team greeted us warmly every morning and kept everything spotless. A special thanks to the gentleman at the front desk in the morning—he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, even guiding us about the local transport options. Looking forward to coming back again!
- matthewdV8942KD (2/5): Awoken by a male staff member opening our door at 1:30am - After a 5 hour drive, with kids asleep in the room including my 4 year old daughter, to be awoken by a large male employee. At 1:30am “Looking forward a room to put a guest” was not at all ideal. Time Is now 3:40am, still can’t sleep as we feel unsafe.
I’ll be wanting more than a refund. That’s for sure.
- bronaghmariaquinn1 (10/5): Better than expected - Best bed and lovely venue. Compact and not overwhelming in size so felt intimate and cosy.
Lovely staff in the beef eater restaurant next door.
Beautiful bedroom views over the garden and very tranquil - enough to leave the window open all night
- Vieltraveller (8/5): Affordable new hotel a bit away from the center - Hotel is pretty new in a new area behind the train station so it’s quite a trip to the city center and also surprisingly to the train station. But there’s a tram station a few minutes from the hotel.
The room was new and nice, with good AC, good bed and was mostly quiet. I assume it can be louder in the morning on weekdays from outside and also slamming doors and running people inside the hotel were easy to hear.
The room could have been cleaner (stains on walls, furniture and such).
Compared to other hotels this one seemed much more affordable.
- l_ono138 (10/5): Excellent price, good quality hotel - For just 60 quid a night (excl 15 for parking facilities), this place was a bargain for a full family. The Prem Inn is, like in the UK, a very reasonable basic hotel with a decent room and great beds. The location in this Prem is close to the tram, which brings you to city centre in around 5min (its a 30min walk).
- Methven (6/5): Nice enough place to stay but room service and breakfast not so good - This is a new hotel, in very good condition. We had booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children and the receptionist allocated us Room 302 which was small and had only a double bed and a sofa which could be converted into a single bed for one child. We returned to reception to raise the problem and were told that we should make up the bed ourselves! We've never experienced such a poor attitude in a Premier Inn before that and this ignored the fact that there wasn't a fourth bed for our other child. They agreed to move us to another room suitable for 4 if we hadn't "used anything in the room" as then they could rent it out again, as if it would be our fault if we had. Despite the Premier Inn website promoting vegan food at breakfast, we found that the only hot food for vegetarians was beans and egg, and for vegans only beans! On asking about vegan options the member of staff advised that no hot vegan breakfast was available at this location! They do provide vegan cereal and oat milk but overall they don't seem to have much interest in providing vegetarian/vegan options and we wouldn't book breakfast here again for this reason. We also received no room service, the beds weren't made for us during our stay, the tea and coffee wasn't topped up, the bin wasn't emptied and towels weren't changed. Overall, although the hotel is attractive and in good condition we were disappointed that the service here fell well short of the level that you'd normally receive in a UK Premier Inn.
