- davidmW8216BM (10/5): Reliably brilliant - We are Premier Inn regulars. Consistent high standards in bed comfort, hot shower, lovely food.
However, at Premier inns don't expect clothes storage!
- sihare1983 (10/5): Great customer service - Great stay, Debbie on reception recognised some regular visitors and asked after them/there visit. Also very helpful when I went to reception with some queries.
- Relax09131193422 (10/5): Perfect stay - The location is great, just near the water front. The atmosphere is great too, very welcoming and friendly. The staff are great and the rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially the bed it was very cozy. Breakfast was great with a variety of hot drinks, eggs, full English breakfast menu, cereals, bakery items, etc.
- garydB7423AR (10/5): Premier inn Guernsey - I have been to premier inn admiral park guernsey several times over the years. Its always a clean and welcoming place. The food is fantastic and i cant praise the staff enough. Always attentive and polite.
I highly recommend staying here.
Hannah sarah and jacob where exceptional.
- Travel02446046531 (10/5): Best staff ever - Great n friendly staff always checking that guests who are the no1 priority were happy n accommodated. Best staff in the whole of the uk n other hotels should take note n follow example.
- johnhA7106IR (10/5): Debbie the receptionist - Stopped for one night and would highly recommend
Rooms cozy and clean nice and warm
Adequate tea and coffee on arrival
Great location to adjacent beefeater which the food was very nice
Star of the stay was Debbie the receptionist extremely helpful and polite credit to the premier inn
- haydans2025 (8/5): Great stay - Great stay the staff are great example Hannah and Sarah the food was good when they had the items on the menu and could do with tidying the rooms a bit better
- Vacation51967988643 (10/5): On site team are very helpfull and delightful to talk to - Thankyou Debbie for lending me your personal charger, sharing your biscuits and conversation, your hospitailty is second to none, all the best, D xx
- TYBtraveller (10/5): Comfortable stay - Really easy check in with a mature capable person. Clean comfortable room. Just as we expected. Food in the Brewers Faye next door pretty much as expected; doesn’t do the Premier Inn any favours but this review is about the hotel!
- rclaud (10/5): Great overnight stay in lovely location. - A lovely warm and friendly welcome on arrival at reception.
Warm, clean and cosy room with comfortable bed.
Delicious buffet continental breakfast followed by full custom built cooked breakfast. Friendly and efficient dining room staff.
Lovely rural location, plenty of on site parking spaces.
Third overnight stay here, and will be staying here again next time I visit the area.
Thank you.
- TheSpiceGirl (4/5): Hotel what you expect but staff spoilt the experience - Rooms are basic and clean which is good - we had an awful check in experience meaning that let’s never worked and we were accused of checking into the wrong rooms (this has been raised with the hotel directly) very much a computer says no experience if you have any questions. Don’t bother paying for the high speed internet during our stay it was no faster than the standard one and no help or refund offered
- suegill999 (10/5): Perfect stay made special by Debbie. - We booked two rooms, a family room and a double room. Both were spotlessly clean and comfortable. All of us slept well.
What made our stay, though, was Debbie the receptionist. She greeted us warmly, was friendly and helpful. Debbie took time to talk not only to us, but our grandchildren, she even returned a lost toy to our grandson when she found it. He would have been bereft without it.
We were staying here because we had a lodge booked at the West Midlands Safari Park, which we were going to the following day, it's only 20 minutes away.
We all had a lovely breakfast on the morning of our departure, food was cooked fresh and there was plenty of choice. We would definitely book there again if we were in the area.
- sausageman2025 (10/5): Absolutely brilliant. Great stay, great service. - I'm going to stay here again! The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was light, clean, well equipped, tidy and the bed was comfortable. I had previously stayed at a Travelodge and the bed was SO hard I just couldn't sleep on it. This bed was under me for approximately 10 minutes before I realised someone had stolen the darkness and it was morning again. Kettle, tea, coffee, UHT milk all available. Huge TV with Freeview, etc, Hairdryer (didn't use, but looked decent) En-suite bathroom with bath, shower and toilet beside the wash basin. Just brilliant. It's not a 5* hotel, so you're not getting a concierge and a Door man. But it's a lovely, clean, well equipped room that comfy and clean and a nice place to be. The staff were brilliant. So friendly, so professional. Polite and courteous too. Nothing was any trouble. I enjoyed my trip immensely and, as I said at the start, I WILL be staying there again.
- 582suzyg (6/5): Three days / two nights nice weekend. - The Premier Inn is a little out of town, but the buses on Guernsey are great (2 day pass £13, you can buy the pass on the bus from the airport) the bus stops just outside and we never waited for more than 10 mins.
We opted for the Plus room and would pay that little bit extra again, even if just for the fridge. The Plus rooms are on floor 3 so no traffic noise, but I think the area is generally quiet. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Our big disappointment was the menu shortages (meal deal) and since this was Friday we suspect it was not going to be sorted during our stay.
You can leave your cases at the hotel if arriving early or leaving after check out, they are organised and have bag tags / receipts ready printed.
- B9275PLrichardt (10/5): Lovey stay in Guernsey - We stayed at this hotel in September and we had a very lovely stay. The staff were very helpful they worked hard to make our stay enjoyable; a special thank you to Hannah and Sarah. The breakfast and evening food was very good. I would definitely stay here again.
Mr and Mrs Taylor
- shepimms (10/5): Highly recommended - This must be one of Premier Inns best hotels, excellent service, staff cant do enough for you, very clean, good food, comfortable beds, what more do you need?
- T2828HYandreac (8/5): Bed and breakfast - We have stopped in Premier Inns before but this one is clean adequate and comfy for a one night stay. Previous Premier Inn have been dirty. However shame there is no WiFi available. We booked the evening meal which was enjoyable from a varied menu. Breakfast had a good choice.
- cerun (4/5): Not satisfied with the experience at Premier Inn - The quality of the accessories and toilet equipment is poor. The front desk service was really bad, and there was no water bottle provided.
Wifi was not working properly.
- S40KBrogerf (8/5): Wonderful Guernsey - The hotel is a 20 minute level stroll to St Peter’s Port. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating and special thanks to Sarah, Lucy and Ivan who did more than their best and contributed enormously to a truly memorable stay.
- J4180GAsophiec (8/5): Friendly receptionist - Debbie on reception was very lovely and welcoming. Lovely to see someone with a smile on their face. Rooms were clean and fine for what we needed.
- Trip41319174614 (10/5): Good location, friendly staff. - Friendly welcome; rooms were spotless and the hotel was clean and tidy.
Hotel is on a busy road but the rooms were not noisy.
Badgers Sett is on site - nice food, great breakfast; helpful and friendly staff.
Will stay here again.
- kobec168 (10/5): Gwen.....the star of the show! - Gwent was exceptionally welcoming, despite the Guiness being dreadful! Wonderfully cheery, a laugh a minute, very pleasant! Thank you.
- JetSet_Glamour (8/5): GCI - • Just a couple of mins walk from the seafront
• Waitrose directly opposite
• Good breakfast offering
• Clean throughout
• Spacious room
• Standard Premier Inn reliability
- ionclaudiue (10/5): Excellent - Friendly personal, good food and well served. We spent nine days with you and we will not forget soon this nice experience…
- alanhB9207AX (8/5): Good and will use again! - First time at this Premier and a good experience all round. One star knocked off rating due to disappointing lack of coffee pods in our Plus room which staff put down to erratic ferry deliveries of late. Perhaps keep a larger stock of these non-perishable s in future?Likewise some articles were unavailable on the dining menu but hardly the hotels fault! Will visit again!
- joy_boler (4/5): Not a good expierience - The one of the only things good about this hotel, was the lovely ,helpful receptionist.
And the bed, premier inn beds are always very comfortable.
There was a distinct smell in the bedroom, like gone off milk, but because we wouldn’t be staying in the room much for our two night stay, we didn’t complain.
The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy, and when it was mentioned to reception, the answer was they are all like it, [ it was extremely noisy]
There was carpet missing on the stairs, which makes the place look shabby.
The security wasn’t very good either, we saw people using the fire escape stairs, and coming back in that way to so anyone could use it. Plus when we came back in there wasn’t anyone on reception, and again anyone could have walked in.
And as for the beefeater pub/restaurant close by, needs a massive deep clean, i used the toilets and it absolutely stunk, thilthy carpet, and one toilet someone had obviously vomited and it was caked on, and looked like it would need scouring, and the three days we went in there, it was still there, and the smell made me feel poorly.
The staff didn’t appear to be doing anything, so surely they could improve things.
Then on the first morning we booked a breakfast, big mistake, the women that came to take our order was abrupt, and not helpful at all, and i even saw her handling all the bread with her bare hands!!!!
When the breakfast came, mine was swimming in grease/water, my husbands wasn’t quite so bad, but it wasn’t hot either. I left some of mine, and again i had a poorly tummy for the rest of the day.
The whole place needs to be health and safety checked, and the staff need to go on a food and hygiene course.
May i add, that there was a member of staff sat at a table while we were having breakfast, and that even made me feel sick for the amount he ate……then when we returned to our room, realised he was a cleaner.
We feel very disappointed, with this stay, and wont be returning.
- Pasties19 (6/5): In need of a refurb - Disappointing. The room was pretty grim although to be fair, everything seemed to work ok.
Bed was comfortable and shower worked well but you wouldn’t want to spend much time there.
Fortunately we were only there overnight.
The whole place seemed uncared for as did the adjoining Beefeater restaurant where breakfast is served.
Positive was the free parking with lots of spaces available
- sarahcW8546KV (10/5): Brilliant restaurant - We had a lovely time at Premier Inn Guernsey for our short stay on the island. Special thanks to all the restaurant staff including Hannah, Sarah and Chef Terry who made us all feel at home.
- annmL7794TF (10/5): Something worth missing the bus for. - Went on Monday night just for food after working in Waitrose. It was a bit hard to order, so much good stuffs in the menu especially there's rice! I ended up with my favourite chips with beef chipotle and bacon cheeseburger with coleslaw on the side, it was just perfect, even the chips were cooked perfectly (cheers Teresito!). Staffs were always friendly asks and aticipates what you might possibly need, Hannah suggested my food based on how tired I was and Sarah checks back on me and suggested my drink, lovely ladies, also met Ruben who is very helpful and friendly as well. Sonething worth missing the bus for. I had a nice relaxed evening with good food and service.
- faithl644 (2/5): Disgusting treatment - From the minute we walked into this Premier Inn the man (name withheld) on reception was very unfriendly. We walked to the desk, we didn’t get a Hello or Good afternoon but were abruptly told that check-in was at 3pm. I then told him that we had booked an early check-in to which he sounded surprised and wasn’t sure if this was on the booking. He had to ask someone to check the room and was then told that the room had been cleaned.
It was already taking some time for us to be checked in but whilst he was doing this 2 ladies came over and he told them the same thing he told us but said they could leave their bags. He then left off off checking us in to see to the other ladies instead of politely asking them to wait (seating nearby) until he had finished checking us in as he had to attach labels etc to their luggage and give them a slip.
After going up to the room, we started noticing that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, there was a crisp on the floor, hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower and the long bolster cushion was left leaning against the wall (I forgot to take a photo of this). We didn’t really want to complain so left it but just before we were due to go to a great MJ tribute act that evening, my daughter noticed suspicious looking hairs on the bedding so for me that was the icing on the cake so I spoke to a member of housekeeping when we went downstairs to leave and it seems that the man on reception was a duty manager. He wasn’t available so we were told that the message would be passed on to him and they would get access to the room. I was expecting for the bedding to have been changed at least whilst we were out but when we got back nothing had been done.
I went back down to reception and managed to speak to the already unfriendly man who then became very angry with me and asked why we had left it until now to let him know and as I was trying to explain that we had only just noticed the hairs on the bed before we were due to go out that evening, he was that angry that he wasn’t listening to me. When housekeeping asked what the situation was he told her that I had left it all this time to inform him after having been checked in for quite some time making me feel like I was in the wrong.
Whilst this was happening between us, the band members from the concert we saw walked in leaving me feeling uneasy and embarrassed.
I asked for the payment for the early check in to be refunded due to the issues we were having only to me met with another angry response of “Do you have proof” at that point I hadn’t taken any photos thinking he may have come up to the room to check and because he didn’t I consequently went to the room and took photographs to show him. He barely looked at them and no apology was given. He told me he would have to speak to his manager but nothing ever came of this and no money refunded!
He then said he would move our room but things just went from bad to worse and I didn’t feel like I could go to him again after the way he had made me feel. In this room, there were countless hairs on this bed also and every few minutes there was a noise that I could only describe as a very loud bathroom extractor fan. It would stay on for a few minutes, go off for a few minutes and come back on again and again and again. This continued for the duration of our stay in this room including through the night.
There was no one on reception when we left the following morning after our 1 night stay so we just dropped the key cards into the box and left.
Both my daughter and myself were hoping that our flight wouldn’t be cancelled due to the very bad weather so we wouldn’t have to go back there. Fortunately, it wasn’t.
I feel that we should be refunded for the whole 1 night stay and receive an apology.
The only positive thing was that this Premier Inn was right next to a lovely cafe/restaurant where the staff were lovely and there were food shops in the area too.
Needless to say the only good thing last weekend was the MJ tribute act we went to see as there wasn’t anything good about the place we stayed.
- Guide826828 (8/5): A warm welcome. - Hagley Hotel - Premier Inn did the essentials really well. Breakfast was good and plentiful the bed clean and comfy clean bathroom with good shower.
We appreciated being able to post a no turn down/cleaning option during our stay saw we were coming and going a fair bit. The only negative was the general run down appearance of both the Inn and the Beefeater Restaurant. It really needed a refresh. Staff were all really friendly and helpful
- U9435IFpeterj (10/5): First class customer service - We stayed for 1 night whilst visiting some family in the area. From the moment we walked through the doors the amazing Debbie, on the front desk was so helpful. We had a bouquet of flowers and she offered us a jug to put them in. Top customer service thank you.
The room was clean and tidy and it was very peaceful. It was hot in the room but we had 2 fans in there. We look forward to staying again thank you.
- djoyce681 (8/5): Standard Premier Inn - Clean and fairly comfortable. Location just out of town but near enough that you don’t feel isolated. Staff friendly and helpful. Food cooked well on both times I ate there.
- bobbies295 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Room was everything we would expect from premier inn, clean and comfortable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had breakfast every day pre booked in the thyme restaurant, was plentiful and tasty. Would not recommend the thyme restaurant for dinner however. There are much nicer restaurants on the island that are same price/cheaper. Food was basic and unfortunately microwaving a brownie was beyond their capacity. The waiter however was great and dealt with the issue straight away removing it from our bill.
Parking is free. There are 20 24hr spaces and the rest of the carpark is only for after 6.30pm and before 8.30am. We had no problem finding 24hr parking every day. There was however a broken down car in one of the parking spaces (been there at least 5 weeks accordingly to the fine on it) and the staff use these spaces too so I can imagine in height of season parking in a 24hr space could be trickier.
- I9308NVchristopherf (8/5): Clean hotel . Good food - A nice stay with clean rooms. The bathroom was a little small and the bedroom too warm overnight. The restaurant food both at breakfast and dinner was good and the staff very efficient
- PaulAllenT (10/5): Nice room great shower - Lovely clean room great shower we had a good night would recommend Everything we needed provided went for lunch in attached restaurant and that was good too
- wendysR1474OZ (8/5): Happy with hotel and and friendly staff there but very dissatisfied with customer service at restaurant - Greeted by Debbie who was very lovely. Room was a bit small but clean. No a/c in room but large fan provided which done the job.
Breakfast was disappointing, greeted by the most ignorant unprofessional lady with blonde hair. She was very blunt and unwelcoming, when ordering food she cut me off mid sentence to take a different order off another member of the family.
Food sat at counter whilst she walked passed and decided to clean tables, when it was brought to table just stood there leaving us guessing who’s was who’s.
- J217L (4/5): Not recommended - Room was grubby and in need of an update. Stains on wall and ceiling. Two separate staff members let themselves in on two separate occasion, once while my 9 year old son and I were napping not long after we arrived (tired from travel) which frightened us (yes I complained). Breakfast was good. Waitrose right across the street. 30 mins walk down to Castle Cornet
- D4839JFiang (2/5): Totally agree with review 'Grubby and Uncared for' but friendly and helpful staff. - I agree with the 'Grubby and Uncared for' with helpful staff review. Whilst the location is quiet, internally the hotel was really very shabby and tired. The temperature of our room did not drop below 26degC even at night throughout our two day stay. There is no air conditioning or even an open door to vent some heat. The window would only open 2 inches however someone in the past had obviously managed to put their head out of the window sufficiently far to vomit down the outside! This was obviously some time ago but the windows do not appear to have been cleaned for a very long time.
I have attached a photo which shows this very well. We will not be staying here again and it is highly unlikely we will stay in any Premier Inn again based on this experience.
- paulhS4335XG (10/5): Comfortable and Welcoming! - We spent a night here with the family, occupying four rooms. These were allocated all together on the upper floor. However, my wife currently has mobility problems so, knowing that there is no lift, we asked on arrival if our room could be switched. This was quickly and willingly done to a room on the ground floor close to reception.
As we walked into the room there was an immediate feeling of space, comfort and cleanliness. We had one or two queries during our stay, which Debbie, on Reception, dealt with efficiently and charmingly.
Breakfast next morning at the Beefeater next door was really good, with efficient and attentive service and an excellent selection of tasty food.
We have stayed here before, a while ago, but our collective view was that it somehow felt better. No lift and no air conditioning, but you know about this when you book. Otherwise, a really pleasant and comfortable stay in a good location.
- Getaway43139183944 (10/5): Wedding party - Night before daughters wedding tbe venue was close, the whole team were amazing so helpful from the reception to cleaning and staff in restaurant
- Candjo9173 (6/5): Dated but decent - We were unable to book for the Premier Inn in the town centre so we booked this one. In fact this proved to be a great alternative - free parking, very quiet rooms and a bus stop virtually right outside.
We had one of the motel style rooms facing the car park. There were blackout curtains which meant a good night’s sleep.
The downside would be how dated and tired the reception area is. Plus there were a lot of people arriving at the same time and most were having to queue down the entrance ramp.
The check in process was slow. Despite there being two staff on duty there was only one terminal allowing staff to check guests in. If there had been a back up option the queue would have gone down a lot quicker.
- jamesmM6700MX (2/5): Not good for premier inn - Poor overpriced rooms smelly area really run down as for the pub next door which does the hotel food rubbish .
The whole place needs a face lift
- 236deejw (4/5): Overpriced and undersized, bedroom door opens onto carpark! - Overpriced tiny room opening on to a car park! With terrible food that's overpriced and service with an incredible lack of care.
What's to like? Not a lot!
- CatOnAHotTinRoof2011 (4/5): Grubby and uncared for, but nice staff. - This is the grubbiest and uncared for Premier Inn we have stayed at.
The Main reception door gives a very bad first impression. It is battered-looking. It needs tidying up and painting.
The bedroom walls had gouges on them and the windows were dirty.
The nets in the window were also in need of a wash.
All carpets throughout the hotel and restaurant need to be cleaned.
I am not a clean freak at all, but I was shocked at the uncared-for appearance of the hotel.
The restaurant is also grubby and in need of a paint.
There are large patches of unpainted filler on the walls, and they are filthy and marked.
The radiator by the kitchen was disgustingly dirty.
This all made the dining room appear unclean.
There was a pile of burnt toast left sitting on the side by the toaster the entire time we were there.
The cooked breakfast was mediocre.
The breakfast was so overcooked and dry, we left to go and have breakfast elsewhere
We always choose Premier Inn to stay at while we are away.
This is by far the worst Premier Inn we have stayed at.
On a brighter note...
The car park is large and
the staff were very friendly and helpful.
They are the reason that this rating is not 1 star.
- Odyssey12787329651 (10/5): Great service - Fantastic night stay at Hagley Premier Inn. Clean room, great food and fantastic staff. Would definitely stay there again.
- janedL9259ZY (10/5): A little piece of paradise - The hotel is set back from the main road which makes traffic noise considerably less noticeable, the rooms are spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful with any query. The beds are comfortable and these are just a few reasons I return annually. It is a pleasure to stay there.
- ChelvisGeo (8/5): Pleasant and Functional, Great Staff - This hotel is a functional place to stay for people visiting Halifax. We visited without a car and appreciated the frequent city bus service nearby; the city center is a fair, uphill walk from the hotel. The staff was excellent, both friendly and informative. We were in Halifax during a hot spell and while the rooms were not air conditioned, they did come with good fans which were very much appreciated. The rooms were clean, the bathroom functional, the beds were comfortable.
The immediate neighborhood of the hotel includes a restaurant associated with the hotel that serves a nice breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. There is also a McDonald's across the street. A restored canal borders the property with a beautiful tow path that we enjoyed walking along after dinner.
While not a destination hotel, we would certainly stay here again in any future visits to Halifax.
- S1536BLtoms (2/5): The worse Premier, yet the most expensive! - Awful bed, room in need of an upgrade and to add insult to injury the most expensive premier inn I have ever stayed in £271 for two nights!
- geoffe701 (10/5): Premier Inn - Very efficient and friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Amazing. Good tidy clean room. Good breakfast at Brewers Fayre.
- Keithupzap (8/5): As expected - The room was as expected from a premier inn, you know what you are going to get, and we got it. We had no issues with our stay, although the canal was a bit smelly when out side.
- helensZ9162GD (10/5): Great stay again! - Love it here at Salterhebble, right by the canal, lovely walks, everyone so friendly.
Room had its own front door on groundfloor.
Book by necessity and will return by choice,so much to explore but ran out of time.Been twice in a month, great value!
- BonnieRed850 (10/5): Great location and the perfect travellers rest. - A wonderful location on the banks of a rejuvenated canal and a five minute drive to the centre of Halifax and the M62. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a one night stay, including free car parking.
An excellent place to stay over.
- katkK6918GQ (10/5): Scenic and very special - Fantastic location, right next to the canal...perfect for an evening walk. There are also canal view rooms with your own front door with parking immediately outside. Without doubt the best Premier Inn we have ever stayed in. We'll be back very soon.
- LichfieldBoy (8/5): Nice stay - The hotel is in a nice location right by the canal so it's easy to go for a pleasant stroll.
The receptionist was great, he obviously enjoyed his job and wanted to make you feel welcome.
We had an unusual motel style rooms on the bottom floor so we could park outside the door - easy to unload cases.
The clean bedroom was typical Premier Inn but it was slightly smaller than usual, there was only 1 chair and no table (only a very small desk which was covered in tea making stuff and menus so there was little space).
There was hanging space for clothes but, bizarrely, nowhere to put 'flat' clothing so we had to use our case.
The large TV was very clear with a good signal but the wi-fi was really slow and kept dropping out, I ended up using my mobile as a hot spot instead.
The bathroom had a great walk in shower (thank heavens, I hate clambering over the side of a bath) and it was hot with great pressure.
Breakfast was at Brewers Fayre next door and was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh - very good. There was also the usual choice of continental items on offer and good coffee from a machine.
We also had an evening meal in the Brewers Fayre which was surprisingly good although the place itself was a bit soulless.
I'd stay again when visiting Halifax.
- M4159ICalisong (8/5): Great stay whilst visiting family - Great stay at the Halifax South Premier Inn. We've stayed before to visit family and this was the same again. Booking, check in all very good. Staff very helpful, especially the receptionist who got us an extra heater as our room was cold. Dinner was excellent food and service. Breakfast was also good. The only thing is that the outside of the hotel needs some tlc and the pub needs a redec, but neither stopped out staying being good. Will stay again when visiting family
- L9875NWbarbaraw (10/5): Great Stay - We loved how we could park right outside our room door (ground floor with external door) instead of having to carry luggage to our room. The room itself was very clean and warm - had a really good night's sleep and the view was worth paying £10 extra for - it would be even better in the summer - staff were kind and welcoming - all in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
