- F8790QNwendyp (8/5): Handy for the station - Have stayed here a few times but this time did an upgrade. I wish l had known l could have booked a back room before hand, and ended up with one facing the station, but it wasn't too noisy. Being up graded you got a few extra's like a case stand, iron and board, fridge and water and a posh coffee machine, but guess what no drawers to put clothes in! This is the second hotel l have stayed in this year with no drawers, it this something new we have to accept in modern hotels? I know in this type of hotel, people often only stay for one or two nights. The bed was nice and firm and the lighting very good, but the TV a bit out dated, the channels took an age to change if they felt like it, couldn't get certain programmes. The bathroom nice, walk in shower but would have been happier if there were handles to help you in and out, seeing not everyone it young and able bodied. The controls very easy to use. I booked the meal deal as l have had it before and found it very good, but now a change of menu and more choice, think l preferred the old one. They are good on allergies and ask about them when you order. Being up graded l 'd have thought you would have had the room cleaned without asking, but it had to be requested at the desk. This hotel is very handy for the station and buses up to town if you are there for a short stay.
- Cruisertraveller (10/5): Good value - Good location for Evesham and surrounding areas. Nice clean and comfy hotel with good amenities as beefeater next door for food. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room clean, nice and spacious with tea and coffee facilities. Bed nice and comfy. Good amount of parking.
- magdarI9505HV (8/5): Great visit - In general very clean with kind staff, at arrival plenty of parking space but filled up quick! Comfortable bed and tasty breakfast. Great value for money
- IanPLancashire (8/5): Ok - First stay at this hotel. Nice friendly check in with plenty of free parking. But tricky to find in the dark as off a service road behind the main services.
Room was clean and tidy and pretty quiet during the night. The attached restaurant was poor but other eateries available on the services.
- brownie71 (2/5): The Smell! - We always stay at Premier Inn but this time the smell was disgusting. We went up the stairs and the smell of musty like a wet dog hits you along the corridor. We got to room 136 at the end and went into our room and it smelt of sick. Windows left open but the smell was horrendous. I called reception and she advised that the carpets had been sprayed with something and were going to be taken up. I then hear a generator outside which starts every 15 minutes for I think 5 minutes. I can't close the window because of the smell. Such a shame as we love Premier Inn but Evesham we will call to check if sorted before booking again. Staff and bed lovely
- R5838XBemmaa (10/5): Best team ever - Went here a few nights with work and so glad this is where they chose! The staff here made us feel right at home - special shout out for Harvey and Laura who were so good to us they deserve raises
- Katgrayable (10/5): Exceptional Staff - After staying at multiple Premier Inn's, I can safely say this was one of the best. The hotel was clean and comfortable but what truly stood out was Laura and Harvey. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. They were genuinely friendly, helpful, and really made our stay.
Overall a lovely team and a credit to Premier Inn, thank you!
- A100ZLhelene (10/5): Nice stay - Lovely and clean, reception staff were lovely. Had a breakfast each morning, and the food was good. The lady doing the breakfast, Julie, so hard working, she was so polite and cheerful made it a pleasure to go for breakfast, an absolute star.
- 819ColinW (10/5): Friendly and caring. - This is one of the best Prenier Inns we ever stay in. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the food delicious. Thank you to all the staff who have made our brief stay so enjoyable.
- K1621UVanthonyb (2/5): Poor WIFI Connection - Stayed here last month and although the Hotel is conveniently placed near Exeter St David’s the WIFI connection in the hotel is terrible even Ultimate did not work on our 4 day stay. Raised it with Head Office as hotel staff who were very helpful said they had reported to Head Office many times who have responded to say they have made Management at the hotel aware! Very disappointed with Premier Inn Head Office response but if you want WIFI stay clear until the issue is fixed.
- michalkaras (10/5): Great stay - Nice and clean room excellent staff, very helpful and friendly staff especially Laura. Great location not too far for your daily shops.
- bharghavp2023 (10/5): 9 out of 10 - Location :- this premier is literally across from the train station (Exeter St Davids Train St ). There's no parking on site whilst you can park across the station car park for 14 odd pounds for the whole day. Plenty of spaces available.
Staff :- Dealt with the lovely stuff from Greece whilst checking in. Very friendly face. Also the young lady in the restaurant was very polite as well. Lovely bunch of staff who cares
Room :- Spacious room / can tell its been refurbished recently. Ample of space inside with a side table and chair.
Restaurant:- The restaurant itself isn't the biggest to accommodate large groups of people..id highly advise booking a table as soon as you check in to avoid the rush during dinner time. Opted for the veg Gyoza for starters and Haddock for mains. Food could be a bit better but overall was nice.
- mariemH1866KJ (8/5): Good Location - Conveniently located hotel with easy access to attractions in local area. Public areas look like they could do with a bit of a refresh but the room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed and a nice powerful shower in the bathroom. Wifi access was very poor. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
- JudithCole1969 (6/5): Poor - Not as good as it should be, lack of staff when we arrived , one lady who was very friendly , setting up for breakfast / running the check in desk and the bar , this woman could do no more !
Breakfast poor , dirty tables not cleaned up , lack of cooked breakfast essentials , slow replenish. No muffins or croissants , barely any crumpets or pikelets, told it would be 20mins for replenishments but they never turned up . Coffee machine on the blink . Staff again lacking , 2 people running the whole breakfast. Not acceptable for Premier Inn which is usually fabulous
- raymakin0051 (2/5): Shame on you Premier Inn - It was, without doubt, the worst weekend break we have ever experienced. The hotel was shabby so that cleaning wasn’t producing a quality outcome. There was no lift and the stairs and passageways were narrow and awkward. There was flaking paint in the bedroom and mould, even round the soap dispenser. We had breakfast on the first morning but it was not of the usual Premier Inn standard. We didn’t want breakfast the next day which was lucky because a notice at reception told us that “owing to a National Supply problem” there was no food available. (There were 3 large supermarkets within a 3 mile radius). Non of the staff were able to do anything other than say how sorry they were but one said that the hotel was going to close next year for a total refurbishment. The company website should have warned that this was going to happen and that the hotel was not up to standard. Paying £211 for 3 nights in such shabby conditions was not acceptable. Luckily we did not have young children to worry about.
- Quest46392940661 (10/5): Number one stay above and beyond staff - Absolutely first class rooms and above and beyond staff they are exceptional polite and friendly and helpful but above all professional. The staff are always there whatever the problem or even for a chat The best Premier Inn we have ever stayed in
11/10 ☆☆☆☆☆ 🌟
- Navigate574912 (10/5): Great value family room.. - Great value room before a holiday....it was quiet and clean and the staff we're helpful and friendly....parking was free and a nice breakfast choice in the morning finished the stay off perfectly....
- ricksY8954VQ (10/5): Excellent - All the staff are Excellent, happy and helpful, Laura and Nathan are the only names that I know and they like all the staff are 1st class
- claudiast (8/5): What you see is what you get - Not pretentious, what you see is what you get. Small rooms with the basics, one towel for each person and a bottled soap that doubles as shampoo. Room was fairly clean although there were some suspicious spots in the carpet that looked like cigarette burns. Service to match the accommodations
- RJNEUK (10/5): Excellent room and service - Great spacious room, comfortable bed and fantastic service from everyone . Good price to quality ratio. Marcus is particularly brilliant..he is a master host. Fantastic service . Thank you .
- Cruiser17189372308 (10/5): Good review - Laura signed me in and couldn't have been anymore helpful,
Then Harvey cooked my meal and it was perfect couldn't have asked for anything better.
The deals are also amazing quality.
- Vickykaur1709 (10/5): Markos - I had such a great experience thanks to Markos at Premier Inn Exeter St David’s. He was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, he’s one of the best people I’ve come across in any hotel — friendly, professional, and truly caring. Premier Inn should be very thankful to have someone like him on their team. He really made my stay amazing!
- roykearsley (4/5): Don't use if you don't have to, will never good back to this location. - Smell in room, resturant very poor for breakfast haf to book a time when there only 4 tables being use and evening could not get a table until after 6.30 when there only 2 tables used. Very poor hotel in general how a Premier Inn
- johnhp702 (8/5): Do not be fooled - Do not be fooled by the appearance of this hotel, yes it does look a little bit shabby outside and the inside may need a little TLC but a good night sleep can be had at a very reasonable price and the breakfast is well worth investing in.
- Relax314104 (2/5): Flooded bathroom from leaking toilet - The carpet in our room outside the bathroom was wet, we were offered another room but thought is was something spilt on the floor so we were given towels to put on the floor. In the morning the bathroom floor was flooded from a leaking toilet it smelled horrible so we were unable to use the bathroom without treading in dirty toilet water. We complained and told maintenance would look at it. We were offered no compensation. We were only there one night. On closer inspection it looks like the flooding had been going on for a while but unfortunately I did not think to take a photo as I thought we may have been compensated in some way, but we were not!!
- Climber40529725648 (10/5): My stay - Was a lovely room. service was great especially a young boy named Harvey he was very polite and would offer me or anyone help without even asking. had a great stay woukd definitely recommend if your looking for a nice, quite and friendly Environment.
- terryy729 (10/5): The best hotel I’ve been to without a doubt thank you Harvey for all your help - The couple days I stayed was amazing. The service is great. Felt like I was at home a staff member called Harvey helped me out as much as he could was polite and well spoke would recommend coming to this hotel if you’re in Epsom
- H1773QBleahw (10/5): I’ve stayed here for the last 3-4 weeks and met amazing staff always going that extra mile Thank you for an amazing stay - Amazing staff, polite and respectful willing to go that extra mile see you all next time and thank you for everything 😊👍👍
- J2088KSkennethm (6/5): Only OK - Dirty men's underpants behind the bathroom door from previous guest, not something anyone wants to see but my wife was seriously unhappy.
Bed was not made to hotel standard according to my wife, was just thrown together like something I'd do myself.
While the bed making skill was lacking but not a deal breaker by any means, the jocks in the bathroom certainly were.
- K1041BCdebt (10/5): Not so hidden, hidden gem - Been going to various premier inn breakfasts further a field but was suggested to try this one. It did not disappoint. The breakfast was great. Fruit was fresh and hot and cold items were on point - including the poached eggs (which are made to order). Nathan was lovely and helped with ensuring my car was registered for the car park so no surprise tickets. All in all a great visit.
- darrenbM8264PE (10/5): Stayed for work great service and assistance - Max and Harvey were excellent and a credit to premier inn very helpful. They helped greatly at checkin and assisted with directions to local attractions and guitar shops.
- shelleyn673 (4/5): Most disappointing Premier Inn stay - It was the worst Premier Inn I've ever stayed in. There was no lift and I was on the second floor, not easy with bags at my age. I was told to let the reception know before 12 the next day if I wanted my room cleaned, I told them as I checked in at about 21:30 on the Friday that I wanted the room done the next day, but still it was not done. At £100+ per night it is the least that could have been done. There was a ghastly synthetic smell that was obviously covering something nasty.
- C6634USstephaniec (10/5): Amazing poached eggs - My friend and me have been visiting the branch at Redhill for the buffet breakfast but was advised this was also available at epsom south. We ventured here as its more local and it didn't disappoint. Had lovely poached eggs and the food was nice and hot. Loved the fact it included coffee and juice. Will definitely return. The manager Nathan was really friendly and made us feel very welcome, he also talked my friend through entering her carparking details. Can't wait to return very soon. Love the fact aswel the currently run a offer where kids can eat for free I belive with a adults meal which will work out even better when I bring the kids.
- martinw452 (4/5): Avoid the rooms facing road - Avoid the rooms facing the road. There very noisy. The aircon didn't work properly so window had to open. Everything no automated- nobody at check in. Soon the place will be completely run by robots. So much cheaper than paying real people.
- nathanfB6187QS (10/5): A really enjoyable stay! - Visited here this month with my partner whilst in the area. Absolutely amazing hotel. Whilst the hotel itself appears tired, the staff and front of house make up for this! The food both breakfast and evening was superb - credits to the chefs!! And can tell that they put their heart into it. Will return!
- 412carliec (10/5): Best hotel in the area! - Such a welcoming environment created by staff and other people in the restaurant. There are shops local and a massive supermarket only a 5 min drive away! The rooms are pristine and amazing value, the hotel itself is quiet enough to hear a pin drop in the corridors, I got the best nights sleep in the bed it’s so comfortable!
- 32subhadeepb (8/5): Value for money - Nice location
Warm and welcoming staff
Clean , spacious rooms
WiFi signal and speed is not the greatest
Overall - value for money
- Jadedtravelller (4/5): Desperately needs money spending on it. - No aircon. Heating controls broken. Free fan provided for cooling and a plug in radiator for heating. Window opened on to a dual carriageway so in hot weather the choice is endure free sauna or deafening traffic noise. Poor staff did their best to be cheerful.
- A3104ZEkennethw (8/5): As per usual Premier Inn - As per usual Premier Inn clean and comfortable. Good size bed and bathroom. Food and drink could be better quality. Very handy location
- Road388595 (4/5): Not the best - The room was very dirty. We had no toilet roll or hand soap. No body wash but that didn't matter because we always bring our own. The bedding was very smelly. The tv had a black line going though it.
- davidbF489GG (10/5): Excellent stay - Easy check in, very helpful reception staff, clean tidy comfortable room.
Excellent location and good amenities close by
- carolinewK770TL (4/5): Poor - Very run down smelt terrible
Our room had toilet paper and not flushed from somone when we arrived! So moved rooms
Lady on reception who moved us roo.s was lovely helpful and friendly which I cant say for the other staff !
We paid £168 for 1 night !! I expect a clean fresh room even though seco d room was cleaner it was stil not. Clean and smelt the shower curtain stank too
Shame because great location
- charlieend (10/5): Standard Premier Inn, conveniently located - A very typical Premier Inn, though the standard rooms are in a new style - basically the same as before, but with a table instead of a desk, and a much more comfortable chair. It was clean enough (though the rubber seal on the glass shower curtain is already mouldy), the bed was comfortable, and the room had all that one would expect from a Premier Inn. There are two lifts, which is more than enough as it's a relatively small hotel, and it's exceptionally conveniently located to access Exeter St Davids station. It's only a 5 minute bus ride or 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Exeter, so it's very convenient.
- 923francesj (8/5): Nice hotel. Lovely breakfast - The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast at the next door beefeater was lovely. Lots of choice and it was fresh. The hotel rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is desperate for a refurbishment though - it’s a bit tired and dated. It was very quiet overnight.
- Andrew19887 (10/5): A shout out for the bar staff - when we finally found it ( don't rely on Satnav, it takes you 1/2 mile away to some unsuspecting householder!), there was a lovely greeting at reception and a room which is a Premier Inn room ! You know what to expect and there it is. Perfectly comfy, clean, shiny bathroom, not a particularly inspiring view, but that is not a primary consideration. The bar/restaurant next door was brilliant. Excellent staff (perhaps the best I've come across in all my visits to Premier Inns) The place was bright and clean, the beer was good, the food was good, but the staff were the big bonus . What a difference it makes to your stay. Well done girls. it did cost me a bigger tip, than I had planned though !!!
- HelpfulABC (6/5): 2 star hotel pretending to be 3 star. - Whole place needs a refurb. Had to change rooms because of the road noise and too hot. Staff were friendly but we did hear other people complaining about their rooms and staff know the hotel needs refurbishment desperately. Restaurant food was too expensive and poor value.. Too much junk food. Drinks were expensive. Seating area in the bar very poor and grubby. Outside seating could be so much better with astroturf and lighting. Ask for a quiet room. Even though we moved from room 3 to 12 we still was not happy because it was grubby and we asked to be moved yet again. We saw another room but this too was grubby so we had to settle on room 12. TV, s need to be better, the showers need updating. The sink hole kept getting blocked! Overall a 2 star pretending to be 3 star. Thank god we booked in advance and paid just £43 a night. NOT worth £50.
- stephenbX5346VX (10/5): A great base for visiting Exeter - We chose the hotel for location. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The Premier team were all cheerful, helpful and attentive.
- maebea14 (10/5): nice stay - nice room. good shower. quietish. friendly front desk staff. found us extra pillows. evening meal in beefeater pleasant server.
- jamesiL3548EW (10/5): Very happy with the Premier Inn experience - Quick and simple to gain access to the room reception staff were extremely friendly The only side was there was no parking on site
- CJLondon2950 (8/5): Good value and clean, nothing amazing - This is a good value hotel, the room was clean and the bed comfortable - as usual for a Premier Inn. Unfortunately there did not appear to be enough staff to manage all the people staying at the hotel. I felt really sorry for them, they were friendly and helpful when needed, but not always available (ie we wanted a drink at the bar and there was noone there for ages, so we gave up - I could see they were busy at the check in so it wasnt their fault). I found the food pretty bad, and would suggest eating at one of the many reasonably priced restaurants in Exeter instead! Would stay here again if needed though.
- 612frantzm (4/5): Not value for money - I thought the room was extremely expensive for the quality. I understand that it is August etc but the hotel, or at least the parts I saw, is quite tired and needs to be upgraded to make the high price worth paying.
The staff are very friendly which is great but the competence I felt was lacking. The Premier Inn survey asks about staff friendliness but not competence!
The main reason for my dissatisfaction was the plumbing problem which kept me awake on and off for most of the night.
- daustin_bt (10/5): Excellent Premier Inn - The room and staff were very good, and there is ample carparking and the Beefeater restaurant attached. The Premier Inns without a restaurant offer a limited menu but Evesham still has the Beefeater which means you can get a much wider choice of meal.
In the restaurant the waiter, Jay, stood out for customer service.
I was there with The Battlefields Trust to attend the Evesham reenactment and we'll be back next year!
- karenr358 (2/5): lack of staffing is appalling - the lack of staffing in this hotel is truly shocking- watching one girl running from reception to take food orders to deliver food all the time i waited 20mins yo get a drink at the bar- absolutely greedy and wrong to treat customers and staff like this
arrived to very dirty corridors- hadn’t been cleaned for some time- dirt everywhere
rooms though clean and as you would expect
- B5211CTmicks (8/5): Would stay here again - Second visit to this Premier Inn and have no complaints. Clean, comfortable rooms and a great location
Staff polite and helpful
- charlotteawiley (10/5): I slept better than usual - Room 207 is a large, very comfortable room and has a large double bed with 4 pillows. Thermostat goes down to 19C and widow tilts open to 6” at the bottom so it wasn’t hot and stuffy like hotels often are. Curtains are blackout and effectively light proof around the edges as well. Very clean bathroom with double size shower, no bath. 2 chairs and a table, hot drinks station, hairdryer, toiletries, towels all good. Fast free WI and big flat TV screen. View is over a back lane and small, likely staff car park. No early morning noise or traffic despite the hotel being straight across the road from St David’s railway station and just down an alley from a Wetherspoons with an enormous illuminated beer garden. Paid £81 on 25/7/25. Opted out of the additional cost for breakfast. There is also the option for evening meals and a bar. The staff were all lovely, especially the older one who was still helping everyone at midnight.
- 510daveg (8/5): Graduation stay …! - as always the mattress was wonderful and give us a good night sleep the only thing to let this hotel down is the lack of parking even though there’s parking over the road. It was sometimes hard to find a space and the spaces are pretty narrow for today’s size of car .
- GeoffS1959 (8/5): - A convenient location makes this a great hotel.
It's a bit impersonal with the self service check in and out, but the staff that were on hand were pleasant enough. Parking in the train station carpark opposite is reasonable and easy to pay for. The Mill on the Exe is a 15 minute walk away for an excellent evening meal, and the on-site self-service breakfast was as expected for a Premier Inn.
- Dubris (10/5): Opposite Exeter St. David's Railway Station. - To walk out of Exeter St. David's railway station after a long journey involving multiple changes and see my hotel straight in front of me was immensely welcome. A fellow traveller had a more complicated route to her hotel by comparison.
Again, I was allocated a room on the first floor facing the road and right at the end of the corridor. This had been the same at the Haywards Heath Premier a few weeks back. But whereas there there was no window screening other than the heavy curtains here there were net curtains as well so that normal daylight could enter the room without my being observed from the outside in "goldfish bowl" style.
My initial impression of the room was that it was very cold but I fiddled around with the controls and soon had it at a more comfortable level.
The room and the bathroom were spotless.
The breakfast was more organised than my last visit to a Premier Inn and although I was a little surprised to find tinned strawberries in the fruit selection I still ate them for that retro experience!
Soundproofing as regards the outside was excellent and because I was at the end of the corridor I had no irritating fire door thumps every few minutes.
A comfortable hotel, very well positioned for those arriving by rail.
- Mattbow85 (10/5): Great hotel, would stay again!!! - One the better premier inn’s that we have stayed in for a while, room was clean and lift worked. Staff were brilliant!!! Even served a cheeky pint late at night!!!
- skyeport (8/5): Easy access to Exeter St. Davids - Great hotel across from Exeter St. David's station, making for easy access to an early. morning train. The room was very comfy and quiet. Staff was helpful and breakfast good enough. The check in was automated at a kiosk and I didn't really like that. It was a pretty easy walk into Exeter to see the city-maybe 20 minutes. Price was great too.
