Guest Reviews
- Chia-Wei (10/5): - Breakfast is so nice
- Pamoda (8/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and 24/7 front desk.
- PeterW3547 (10/5): Premier inn, cannok south, hotel - Had an excellent sleep. Beds really comfy.
Lovley staff.
Beverley on reception was brillant.
Ask for a room clean half way through the week, come back from my course and everything was 'spick and span'.
- 985lesleyc (6/5): Pre Christmas get away - Premier Inn are always our “go to” if spending a couple of days away from home. Cannock South, is probably one of the ones awaiting their update. It is seems old fashioned and dated but still clean and staff helpful and friendly which is exactly what you want. Due to the time of year it could be there seem to be more tradesman/workmen staying than tourist but again fair play they need to diversify their income and no complaints from this end
- waynerZ8582KF (10/5): Fantastic - Had a great stay , and Beverley was a nice lady and very helpful , definitely would recommends to friends and family, the food was very nice , the hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable
- T8536PIharryw (10/5): Bev was absolutely kind and thoughtful and a very good laugh - A clean and tidy room and bathroom and Bev was very helpful and kind would defo come back again and would definitely recommend to others
- amanjeeta2025 (10/5): Lovely stay - A lovely stay here at the premier inn. Very clean room, very modern and the service was excellent. Nice and quiet too.
Will defo be back again.
- N2807ETkeving (4/5): Good Night's Sleep is not Guaranteed - The room was very clean and although on the smaller side, a typical premier inn room. However, when we turned all the lights off we realised that intermittently two bright green flashes were coming from the ceiling smoke detector. This was positioned right above the bed and was bright enough to disrupt sleep - you could still see the flashes with your eyes closed. It was exacerbated by the black out curtains doing their job too well so literally no other light was in the room to diffuse brightness of the flashes. You say you guarantee money back if your guests don't sleep, but when I talked to reception at checkout to tell them I thought there was a fault, they brushed it off saying "no, that's standard now, loads of guests have complained and we fed it back to Head office and they haven't come back to us. We can't turn it off, we're told it's health and safety..." They were apologetic enough but not proactive and I while I wouldn't want to jeopardise safety, I would question why it was positioned right over the bed and not in the corridor by the bathroom, a little more discreetly. Our sleep was rubbish - we ended up getting up and leaving at 6.30am to head home instead of staying for breakfast as we were so fed up. If you're planning to book this one, bring some blue tack to cover the LEDs and don't assume their good night sleep guarantee is comprehensive.
- carolew349 (10/5): Friendly Premier Inn. - Excellent customer service ,manager was very attentive and so friendly. Happy hour was great ,two drinks for eight pound between 5 and 7.
Breakfast was little chaotic both mornings but the food was hot and tasty.Sometimes hospitality is a thankless job.If in the area give this Premier Inn a try ,rooms are spacious clean and warm .We as a family 10 really enjoyed our stay. All in all a good experience.
- Road14377772340 (10/5): Great Service at Premier Inn Camberley - Fantastic service, was served by Chris and Precious. Chris was particularly fantastic. Checked in earlier than usual, so we stayed at the Restaurant even though it was not open. Everything was good, service, room and I'd surely return.
- 0darent (10/5): Brilliant stay - We were greeted by a very lively hosts Jo and Chris who we ound very friendly and chatte. Asked for a bath and I got a bath. Lovely stay. Really well run ship. Looking forward to staying again. Good luck team
- cozminp2022 (10/5): The best experience at Cambridge Premier Inn - I have stayed in many Premier Inn's over the years but the service offered here has been the best so far. Quiet and clean room, smooth check in and smiling staff. Evening meal was great and was served by the manager Monica. She was amazing on explaining the meal deal and that we can upgrade for dessert as well.At the end of food service we also received chocolates and this was a nice gesture . Showt out to Monik and Diana!
- Coastal38412831175 (10/5): Stay and dining - Been served at the Desk and in the restaurant by Monica and Dianna, (apologies if spellings are incorrect) but both of them were lovely. Very attentive!
- essk2016 (10/5): Comfortable, warm, professional - Warm welome and attentive, professional staff. Quiet and comfortable rooms, well located for my destination. Tracy was exceptionally good on the evening shift in the restaurant and let me take food back to my room as I was tired.
- Passport07892236658 (10/5): Peaceful - Quick, easy service. Answered every question. As restaurant being only for guests, was nice and quiet and not overwhelming or overbearing. Served by Tracy. Very welcoming.
- cgarland2004 (10/5): Great experience - The room was good and clean, absolutely no complaints about very friendly front staff land liked a laugh! Very helpful! Good value for money
- 693malcolmm (4/5): Bad Restaurant - Rooms comfortable, reception staff lovely. Had a meal in the restaurant, took 1 hour and 15 minutes to serve us a burger (and there was only other customer). NOT GOOD The roof leaked also.
- mihair250 (10/5): Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! - We had a wonderful stay at Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton). The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with a great bed for a perfect night’s sleep. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was tasty and well stocked, with plenty of options. The location is convenient and peaceful. Overall, an excellent experience — we would happily stay here again!
- L2827UApatrickr (10/5): Atmosphere amazing, food fantastic, Monica marvellous - Restaurant was in a listed, beautiful building with in-house water feature. Beer selection excellent. Hand picked lemons to go with my desert. Monica is amazing. Fantastic service. (Knife was huge)
- W1796KNanthonyw (10/5): A good choice! - The hotel is ideally located for visits to central Cambridge, with a bus stop right outside on the way back. It is clean, comfortable and warm. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Tracy at breakfast. We all had a good time and would stay there again when we visit Cambridge/
- shaunamK8058XG (10/5): Excellent - Friendly attentive staff, efficient check in, cosy & clean rooms.
Food at the restaurant was spot on & the staff were great too!
- trudym919 (10/5): Wonderful reception and support - We booked the assisted room in preparation for my husband who was having surgery locally. Room very well equipped including emergency pull cord...which within 5 minutes my husband pulled the cord instead of light ! Within seconds Beverly (staff member) was at our room to ensure we were OK. Beverly has been incredibly helpful in many ways especially pointing out an error I had made with my booking . Nothing was too much trouble for her and made the stay very comfortable and stress free
- jamesnC6546XR (6/5): Halloween stay - The overall stay was good, from check in to check out. However the following day I got home and remember I left my electric toothbrush and an £30 can of pacco rabanne spray deodorant which had not even been used. I phoned the hotel and was told they had found the toothbrush, but not the spray, which I know I had left there. To be told that. If the cleaners normally come across a can of deodorant, they don’t check to see if it’s empty or full, they just chuck it in the bin.
- T8315YSianc (8/5): Great Premier inn but long wait for hot food at breakfast - This Premier Inn has helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and comfy. Usual high Premier Inn standards.
Booked a dinner and breakfast package which is good value; however disappointed that the bar area is closed in the evening and I ate dinner in the small breakfast area - not a stunning dining experience. The food was well cooked and as described.
Breakfast was very good with the usual wide choice. There is no hot buffet to pick from so cooked breakfasts are made to order. The food was great but it took so long to arrive - a good 30 mins.
Good parking and 10 min walk to nearby Sainsburys.
- marcusaY5103PO (10/5): Comfortable and clean room, excellent value, and midday checkout time if fantastic! - Excellent value, very clean and tidy room, comfortable bed, I’d recommend and stay again if required to in the area. Fantastic to have a midday checkout time!
- rajuj197 (10/5): Hospitality by Raju - It was a good stay in Camberly. Specially when I went to have my breakfast, met Raju the restaurant host, made my day. Was very warm, helpful, kind and polite. Had a good chat. His hospitality made me feel good. And definitely will come back to stay again and meet him.
I had a good start of the day.
- 707adeelk (8/5): Excellent service by Raju - Raju the restaurant manager gave me an excellent service at breakfast time. Really went out of his way to ensure everything was good and comfortable. Thanks Raju
- benlou76 (10/5): Excellent service - Was excellent at checkin really friendly and welcoming.
Asked for extra pillows got them straight away.
Went for dinner and food was excellent and manager came over to speak to us all which never happens normally.
Reported a maintenance problem and he came straight away to sort but couldn’t so will be done next day as we are staying more than one night.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay
- Q1259SDheatherp (6/5): Not your usual standard - I always use premier inns but really not impressed with this one. Came down for our prebooked breakfast and waited for 15 minutes to be told where we could sit (not a member of staff to be seen throughout that time. No fried eggs cooked and ready, no bread for toast (basically nobody seemed to be replenishing anything, and no this wasn't the end of the breakfast period it was in the middle of it) your breakfasts are not cheap so really not impressed. Also on a side note I think the hotel could do with a bit of a refurbishment.
- G8774OLjasong (8/5): Pleasant and value for money - Room was as expected for a Premier Inn and happy with that as clean and tidy, restaurant was in house and staff friendly and inviting, the menu is somewhat limited but does the job
- U3995LJjasong (10/5): Great welcoming! - Great stay! A few hiccups but was quickly sorted by the hotel manager Chris ,who made the stay and welcome very good! Great size rooms and commodities !
- matthewhH8404SS (10/5): Great - Great stay very friendly and helpful staff especially chris the hotel manager. Would defiantly stay again for sure ....
- Gourmandsouth (10/5): Excellent Stay - I booked for my son and I to stay here for the night before his admission to Royal Papworth Hospital. We managed to get ground floor bedrooms, which I hadn’t found a way of booking in advance. All the staff were amazingly helpful. They now have a full evening menu, which was good. Breakfast was excellent. We’ll no doubt be back …
- BartoszP948 (10/5): Amazing - WOW what a People working here Eliśka and Dawid from Night Team And CHRIS of course🙂 short stay but see you soon again guys keep continuing your really hard and amazing work. Thank you
- 920jayneh (10/5): Five star staff team! - This Premier inn is situated in a lively town with many shops, bars and restaurants. It is the absolute best thanks to the amazing staff team. Chris and the lovely ladies behind the bar, waitresses and breakfast staff are all so friendly and can’t do enough for you! The company took lasagne off the menu and the staff know it’s the only meal here I eat and saved me some in the freezer ! Sooooo sweet and kind! A huge thank you to you all! Jayne
- viviennet987 (8/5): Weekend break - Great service and friendly staff.
Lovely breakfast.
Thank you Rabina, Gemma, Precious and manager Chris for making our stay so lovely. See you again soon!
- Climber44821824914 (10/5): Definitely recommend - Lovely comfy, quiet hotel, Staff friendly and welcoming. The meal deal was great for value and the food excellent. Being able to leave car in carpark and take bus into city centre was a great bonus.
- F8760AAjaneb (10/5): Lovely receptionist - Lovely hotel nice and clean . The bed was nice and comfortable I couldn’t get up in the morning. Big thank you to Beverly made us feel welcomed. It was nice to be greeted by her instead of a machine. Nothing was to much trouble every premier inn should have a Beverly. Smooth checking in.
- Kelvin (8/5): - A clean quiet place to stay
- Wanderer26486350851 (10/5): impeccable customer service - incredible service from the reception team, cleaning lady, and the hotel manager. i lost an important item and they all worked expeditiously to help return my property. i think the manager on shift was a truly accommodating and helpful man called Chris. made to feel very welcome and tended to. may have gotten their name wrong, yet what matters is my problem was solved and for this i am eternally grateful. god bless and thank you=)
- E3403ZVtheresam (10/5): Hope to come back next year if we get this hotel - Had amazing stay, the staff were amazing, thank you Chris and Louise for looking after us for the 4 days we stayed. Well recommend. A big thank you from Emma,Danelle & Theresa from the Screwfix team
- patriciasS2007XS (6/5): Disappointing - The staff were all lovely, but the hotel itself was cold (until they put the heating on!) soulless, and the food choices dismal. A new menu has ignored choices for gluten free diets. Having taken the meal deal, as we had before, we were not impressed with only 7 items on the menu, and only 2 gf. The starters were a joke, and limited 3 pudding choices. Not good Premier Inn. It was hit and miss if the breakfast chef could cook eggs that weren't solid 😕 Sorry Cambridge North, wouldn't return or recommend.
- I4321WCadams (10/5): Good service, decent room - Stayed here a few times when working in Farnborough, good service, decent breakfast and room all to be expected from premier inn, never been disappointed
- F6642FOmatth (8/5): Work trip - Our waiter raj was very helpful. The service was very good. The room very clean and tidy. The location is perfect for the reason of my stay
- Doukedan (10/5): Surprising comfortable - Comfy beds and great breakfast. Staid for a week in premier in Cambridge. Bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in. And the breakfast was made to order (unlimited) and was very good. Great value for money.
- L4686HSadamt (10/5): food - Gemma Was Amazing
Great Food
Definitely come again
Thanks Louise too 😊😊
Customer service was really good and everyone very friendly
- I982HDhelent (8/5): Business Trip - Comfortable and well appointed room. Friendly staff and efficient service. You always know what you’re getting with a premier inn !
- timbD3791BR (8/5): Happy to come back - Very helpful staff would be happy to come back great location easy to get into Cambridge.good amount off parking easy to get to
- littleb0r0ugh63 (4/5): Premier Inn going to rack & ruin. - Convenient location with bus stop outside for short hop to city centre.Sadly thats where the positives end. Having visited this Premier Inn numerous times over the past 8 years, a visit in Sept 25, found that it has hit a new low. Initially allocated rooms 4 & 6 on the ground floor for our 3 night stay. Bathroom in room 4 smelt of urine, even after a re-clean. Moved to rooms 108 & 109. Both rooms tired, defective TV in room 108, blood on all three towels in room 109. Issued internet upgrade for first evening to allow streaming on own laptop with promise of fix next mornings. No fix, no follow up contact and no wifi voucher for second night. Checked out and found another hotel for third leaving me £200 out of pocket. This drab, unmaintained is an indicator of how a once proud Premier Inn brand is going down the drain. Im quite happy with basic but filthy is unacceptable.
PS. the bed wasn`t comfy either.
I`m happy to discuss further with head office should they wish to contact me.
- christinemE8384GG (10/5): Great base for Cambridge - Great base for visiting Cambridge. Half hourly bus takes you right into the centre.
Rooms are clean and there's plenty of tea and coffee available
We booked breakfast for 8 and continental and cooked where both plentiful.
Staff all very helpful.
- chriscW2656XY (10/5): All good in the end - My trip was only marked as this due to Bev on reception. A clerical error on the booking which was easily fixed became a nightmare to resolve. Bev went above and beyond.
- 143steffr (8/5): Great budget hotel - Great location, friendly staff.
Room was clean, added bonus of a fan already in the room as it was quite warm which was a great touch.
Bathroom was clean but the water took absolutkey ages to heat up. That was the only bad thing I can say. Everything else was top notch.
- Z9033QLandrewc (4/5): Needs some refreshing - A bit grubb and tired.
Coulld do with a good refresh and the rooms are on the small side.
Bed was good and slept well generally quiet.
Breakfast always good.
- lukep79 (10/5): 1 night stop in Cambridge - 1 night stay on 19th August. Very quiet night, very good windows so didn't hear any noise from the car park, but it's not a huge hotel so shouldn't be a large number of cars coming and going anyway. Clean room and helpful staff on reception. Would stay again!
- Companion510838 (8/5): Warm and welcoming hotel. - Premier Inn Cannock South was a pleasure to stay in. Albeit very basic, they catered to all my needs.
The room was a decent size and clean.
My family and I were quite happy.
The staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful.
In the extreme heat we were provided with a fan. This shows the length they go to, to ensure the comfort of their guests.
- Curious35322517948 (10/5): Very lovely experience - Bev on reception was very helpful and extremely polite and friendly will stay again. Couldn’t do enough to help you out.
- trevortT125HU (10/5): Above & beyond - A massive thanks to the receptionist Dani. We booked a room for my Mom for the weekend, she is slightly deaf & gets confused. Mom was looking for us in the car park as she forgot what time we was collecting her for the hotel, Dani took the time to talk to my Mom & was very friendly & caring with her.
Big thank-you were so accommodating with us coming & going, made it so much easier for us all. When collection & dropping Mom back off.
- Curiosity35974989841 (10/5): Excellent staff and good hotel - I booked a stay for my mom to spend a few days with us. A big thank you to Beverley. My mom got confused about the time we were meeting her. Mom was looking for us in the car park and was rescued by Beverley. She took the time to talk to my Mom and was very caring.
Thank you to all on Reception who were so accommodating with us coming and going and made it so much easier for us all.
- Andrewgems (4/5): Not a good premier inn and a horrible pub for food - Warm rooms with a dirty fan provided. Pub next door serves very poor quality food for dinner, not a clean place with awfully sticky floors
- adelehK9424OS (10/5): July stay - Reception and bar staff were friendly and welcoming, room was lovely, clean and comfortable and they added a fan as weather was warm.
Thank you.
- shaunamK8058XG (10/5): Amazing - Friendly staff and convenient 24h reception. Shauna on reception was wonderful and welcoming.
Bed was super comfy. Black out curtains and super quiet surroundings made for a great night sleep.
Highly recommend if you need a place to stay around the area. 👍🏼
- gracecC8081ZI (10/5): Great stay - Amazing service, Amazing staff, especially Beverly, Shauna & Dani
The room was absolutely spotless and the housekeeping staff were friendly
Bev provided biscuits & haribos for the children
We will definitely be returning here
