• 187jenerh (10/5): Excellent Stay - I just need to say what a fantastic manager and team at this hotel. I stayed here with my daughter for over a month and she was very unwell during our stay and the whole team couldn’t do enough for us. They checked on us every day to see if they could provide any assistance and went above and beyond with their help. The rooms are spotless and the food was great. We enjoyed every single meal. Thank you so much to Sean and his whole team for taking care of us during our stay.
• R7343LKar (2/5): Want an Stress-Free stay? Don’t book here. - The staff were friendly, but we requested to move rooms and they never followed up. The walls are very thin. I’ve experienced many rude and inconsiderate people here. Go to the Crowne Plaza instead if you want a nice, stress-free stay. Experience: The people next door were incredibly loud during quiet hours and when asked to reduce the noise she was incredibly rude and slammed the door in my face. When I informed the staff, nothing was done about it. They say something will be done, but they are empty commitments.
• danielsY1336YO (10/5): Amazing service - I stay in a lot of premier inn’s & this is by far the best one, from the food quality to the service I’ve received, nothing was to much trouble. I would like to give a special shout out to Jake who was their during my stay yesterday, even though he seemed rushed of he’s feet, he always had a smile on he’s face. I would like to say a massive thank you to the housekeeping, when I asked for extra towels & tea & milk, they gave it me straight away. You have an amazing team, but Jake definitely a shout out. He worked extremely hard under the pressure, that he seemed under, I will definitely be telling my colleagues how amazing this hotel was & the service I received.

• Epicshamrock (8/5): Weekend visiting family in Solihull - This hotel is in a great location. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was spotless and we had plenty of towels. It would be helpful to have a couple of drawers (rather than 1 long shelf) and a bottle of water in the room would be a nice touch! The breakfast was quite nice. Overall, we had a very good experience and I would recommend this Premier Inn.

• raistlin66 (4/5): Definitely not the best.! - First impressions were very favourable. Huge car park with loads of space, friendly receptionist. Rooms were really nicely set up & looked more modern than other premiers I have stayed in. Couple of niggles with room, shower & sink water pressure very low so it was hardly quick. Tried to open the windows into the sloping roof & was covered in dirt and dust. Electric radiators clanked on and off in the night. So, down to the bar, this is the problem, VERY under staffed. We arrived and we had pre booked a table so thought we'll grab a drink. The poor woman was run off her feet. She was serving behind the bar, taking food out, taking orders and also clearing tables. Some of the beer had run out so choice was limited. Good choice on the menu when we got sat down & food was ok and hot. From ordering our food took us about 40 minutes to start the meal. Desert was good, though a couple of the others said the Ice cream was warmer than the sticky toffee pudding. Next day down for breakfast, again only the one waitress doing replenishment, taking orders, bringing the food, clearing tables & meet and greet. The food was luke warm at best, I had scrambled eggs which due to them been so luke warm were like rubber. Beans were like they had just come from the can. Breakfast was very poor. To be honest we were tempted to put our plates on the radiator to warm the food. Also, needed some money spending as it looks tatty, dull and dated. Real shame as the rooms (Kind of)promised so much, but understaffing really let this down. The Company owning this need to put staff in. Would we return. No. Definitely not one to recommend.

• steveperfect65 (10/5): Excellent Premier Inn experience. - Premier Plus room was excellent. Parking is excellent. £5 a day extra. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not too far from the town centre. Breakfast is a typical buffet style. Sometimes a little on the cool side but all cooked OK.
• Dukwman353 (2/5): Booking in Nightmare - The hotel and the hotel staff were absolutely fine. No problem there at all. But the booking of the rooms turned into a nightmare, started by Premier Inn failing to send one of the 14 pre-stay invoices. This was then compounded by their call centre staff refusing to re-send the missing invoice, being incredibly unhelpful, obstructive, rude (supervisor hanging up after completely talking over me), hiding behind irrelevant data protection legislation (I was telling them all the details, not asking for information), no replies to emails despite reminders, being fobbed off by one section to another, only to then be told by the other section it was the first lot, the list goes on. No one would respond to my problem, no one would help and I'm sure nothing will happen after my (pointless?) feedback. I've booked the accommodation for our next event at the end of November at Days Inn.
• Q7902MUcharlesh (4/5): Such a shame , again - Such a shame , again .. Firstly the few staff were very helpful and stressed. The overall impression of the hotel and restaurant areas are very worn out and tatty. The evening meal . One person doing the food preparation and cooking . One other person doing table booking in , taking orders , waiting on tables , doing bar service and delivering food and drink . Having purchased the meal deal and ordered only to find many basic items not available .Chips, milk ,ice cream ,tomato's ,etc .a very poor show .not sure how your supply chain works but it fails as this as happened before to me at . Eastbourne. Pickering ,uckfield to name a few . Premier inn is not a low cost budget chain and as such very disappointed yet again . Time to consider other options Charles.
• LesleyMCAW (4/5): Not the best - Extremely short staffed, whilst this is no one’s fault, it doesn’t make for a good stay. room not made up after two requests, had to keep requesting supplies, even the extras on the counter on reception were empty. Staff tried to do their best, but they were struggling.
• SimonKD1966 (2/5): Not the best. - Chech in great and friendly. Room damp and smelly, with window open and fan running to try and remove the issue. You can hear every movement from the bedroom above all night long. Bedroom and fittings showing their age. Did not complain as it was very busy and only staying overnight. The position of the hotel is excellent for travel, but very outdated and in need of an upgrade. I am in the hotel trade and know this needs investment.
• 700andyj (6/5): Pluming and heat issues - Always been booking premier inn as kinda know what you are going to get but I keep forgetting that I find the bed so uncomfortable it totally spoils my nights sleep. On this occasion the beginning of November and the room was boiling with no way of cooling it down, the fan that was in there hardly moved any air so was pretty pointless even turning it on. Sadly last night there the water pump and pressure packed up for the entire hotel and was not even fixed by the morning, I’m completely shocked that no one could call out and emergency pumper to assist. This was shocking, though not as bad as the dirty shower head anyway which really could be cleaned fully. I’d think twice about staying here again, but if had to I would.

• johnnypiano (10/5): Best meal ever in a Premier Inn - I have been staying in Premier Inn hotels for the last 10 years, stayed tonight in Hockley Heath, just been down for tea and I must say the staff were absolutely brilliant and the Smothered Chicken was the best I have had, well presented, hot and tasted lovely. Will certainly be staying here again. Well done.

The breakfast was cooked to perfection and very good value. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is so well sited for the town centre
• C6120CXsheenam (4/5): Absolutely Terrible Restaurant - DO not book Meal Deal - Arrival at reception - we were not greeted and had to wait a while after pressing the service button three times. apparently the receptionist was helping out in the restaurant and had to run across the car park. Room was clean and tidy and comfortable but that is as far as the positives go. Restaurant was absolutely appalling. Booked for 7.30 sitting and by 9.30 we only just got our main meal (not starters) and they had run out of some of our choices. The restaurant did not seem that busy it was purely lack of staff. one person in bar, one chef and one waitress with the receptionist popping in and out to assist. Waitress was so apologetic but when the food arrived we were less than hungry and I asked for something to wrap 1/2 of my pizza up. Nothing available but it turns out when I turned the pizza over it was raw underneath anyway. Not happy. Asked to place order for desserts to be told sorry no ice cream. Nearly every item on the menu is served with ice cream so we were quite annoyed at this point. We asked for a refund of our meal deal. The waitress had to get the manager over who suddenly found some ice cream to serve us. (Quick trip to the supermarket I guess given the time it took to serve up the desserts.) Found it easier t go to the bar to get more drinks although the young barman didn't know how to work the till. Our drinks prices varied dependent on who served us despite having the same drinks. Breakfast - again not all choices available. No brown bread left so I asked for more to be told there was two slices in the tray. Which were solid and dry. No mushrooms either. All in all would we stay here again NO NO NO Just to cap it all someone parked so close to us in the carpark (Very small spaces) that my husband had to get in the passenger side and climb over.

At evening meal, there was 2 waiters and the receptionist to serve the whole restaurant and bar. Receptionist running between restaurant and reception. Breakfast there was only 1 waitress to serve the complete restaurant. Not staff fault but management issue. Will not stay again. Felt sorry for the staff.
• Tigger103 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - A good one night stay, but more expensive than the usual premier inn price owing to high demand in the area. The first room I was allocated had an interconnecting door. As I’ve had bad experiences with noise from interconnecting doors in the past I asked if I could be moved, and this was done happily and quickly. Thank you 😀 I ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening, the food was ok, but I’ve had better. Breakfast was standard Premier Inn fayre, tables were cleared and cleaned quickly but a new toaster is badly needed.

Was met by Ricky on this trip and nothing was to much trouble, even after a long day. Arranged to change my room closer to the lift and then relaxed in the bar for a well deserved drink. Always a pleasure to stay here.
• 351shanc (10/5): Lovely stay. Staff amazing - 15+ of us traveled for a family funeral. The staff, especially Jenny and Ricky they were amazing!!! So friendly, approachable, helpful and funny!! On arriving late at night, Ricky got us all booked in quickly and with ease. Jenny also helped us all to our rooms with our luggage. Food was lovely, lovely clean rooms. Would 100% book again.
• A6759KJandrewm (10/5): Surprising qualities - I was met with a very attractive receptionist with a welcoming smile named shannon she was quite funny and although it was a busy shift she made sure I felt I was the only person she cared about and how she could cater for anything I may require and would be happy to personally sort any problems. I just felt this was customer service to the letter although my stay was wonderful as always this display of interest in my comfortability and general chit chat was just what customer service is all about but rarely displayed, it may not be much to some but was a big show of character to me and I had to reach out to show her efforts are not ignored

Parking was easy (Lode lane NCP) and the room had all the amenities I needed but most of all, the customer service was fantastic! I was so well looked after by Mia and Debbie both at check in and also in the restaurant that evening! Would definitely stay again! :)

No lift but only 2 storey but if struggle with mobility or lots of cases bear this in mind. Shout out to Jack on reception. Friendly, really helpful and pleasant to deal. Even offers to help with cases. He's a credit to Premier inn

The manager Ricky was such a lovely man , nothing was too much trouble for him , Jenny I think is her name helped us so much from carrying our luggage to our room and in the restaurant every morning, she was so helpful. They were both lovely people.

• GCT1970 (10/5): Great hotel with scrumptious food. - We had a very warm welcome. Lovely spacious bedroom and exceptionally clean and included a bath. The meal deal was excellent value, The steak was cooked to perfection, and the breakfast was prepared to order . Which is unusual for a Premier Inn. So definitely recommend this hotel and the food in the Plough Inn

• Lewis6980 (4/5): Lovely rooms but terrible service at breakfast - Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff in the hotel. That’s where the positives end unfortunately. Breakfast service is extremely poor. Continental items kept running out, fresh fruit was awful and the machine for coffee was on a clean cycle so was provided with instant sachets. We had to order the hot part (not buffet style) and it took over an hour to be served. Could have any more of the unlimited as breakfast had ended by the time we got served. Restaurant had about a dozen in when we arrived. One waitress and one cook on too. Lovely rooms but definitely would not choose to eat here again. Shocking for Premier Inn never stayed anywhere like this with them.

A very special mention to Ricky who was amazing during our stay what a lovely man ! Also a mention for Debbie who helped us with our luggage as we were struggling with bags and a wheelchair at check in also so lovely and helpful at breakfast Thanks again to all the staff .
• amyelisemillar (10/5): Great business stay - This is a really modern Premier Inn, I was pleasantly surprised! At check in, the woman was very informative and friendly, asking if I’d stayed before and went into detail about the hotel layout, breakfast etc! I was in room 311, the room was incredibly clean and surprisingly modern. I was really shocked by how well the room was organised. There was a vanity mirror with a plug in hairdryer, a very comfortable bed and spare pillows, the bathroom was modern and the room had working air conditioning. The bar area is big enough and it is where they serve meals and breakfast. The two women serving the night of our stay were again, friendly and helpful! Breakfast is only a small offering but it’s enough of what you’d want. A cooked option offering full English type food and then a continental.

Card didn’t work for the lights in the room so had to return to reception for help and it was quickly dealt with. Breakfast across in the old pub was disappointing. We chose to have the full English. Not a buffet for the hot service. Continental breakfast was ok. However, service was poor and it wasn’t busy. Waited 20 minutes to place an order for the hot food. No cutlery or mugs. Had to ask and ended up getting up and going to get some from a different table! Only saw 3 staff. One serving, one replenishing the breads etc and one cooking. Disappointing after our visit to a different premier inn only 3 weeks earlier. That one was fab!

During the night it got worse so bad that we had to put the bathroom fan on all night. In the morning tried the coffee machine but was not working and we noticed a kind of mould stain under the arm chair. Will not be going back there

Contemporary style but with thoughtful touches, much better lighting overall and beautiful mood lighting in the bathroom! Excellent staff and in particular Louise!! ** please hand onto Louise! she’s definitely ‘a keeper’ she is fabulous! I’m not posting photos… go and check it out for yourselves but ask for one of the new rooms!!!
• Thhgp (2/5): Avoid staying here at all costs a complete waste of money - I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay in the family room at this Premier Inn was truly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the room felt tired and neglected. The bathroom was in a dreadful state – mould was visible all around, and it was clear that maintenance and cleaning standards had slipped badly. The basics weren’t even taken care of: the toilet roll holder was left empty, and the wall-mounted body wash dispenser had clearly been watered down, offering no actual soap. The bath itself was dirty and dangerously slippery, which made using it unpleasant. The shower was even worse — a pathetic trickle of water with no pressure, not adjustable in any way, and the heavy limescale build-up meant it sprayed water in every direction except where it was needed. Overall, the room felt tatty, run down, and poorly maintained. For a hotel that prides itself on offering comfort and reliability, this was a huge letdown. I certainly didn’t feel it was worth the money and would not recommend staying here until serious improvements are made. The breakfast was just as disappointing as the room. Service felt rushed and unorganised, with staff seeming overwhelmed and little attention given to guests. The variety on offer was very limited, which is surprising given Premier Inn usually promotes a decent breakfast. The biggest frustration was the wait for eggs — long delays each time, and by the time they finally arrived the rest of the food was already going cold. Instead of being a relaxed start to the day, breakfast felt more like a stressful scramble, and it certainly wasn’t worth the extra money.

• 930raymonds (2/5): Avoid this hotel - We stayed in a disabled accessible room where the safety bar bedside the toilet was totally unsafe. The room was excessively warm, the fan did nothing. We have raised a complaint with premier Inn and they have ignored the main issue with the toilet, mentioned noise but we never raised this issue, and apparently they say the website says there is no air conditioning Basically the complaint process takes a week for a reply and two weeks, two unsatisfactory replies, so if you are disabled STEER CLEAR of this hotel

• debbienL5580WO (8/5): Lovely but hotter than Lucifers bedroom - Stayed 2 nights as came up to the area for a family funeral. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the room clean other than quite a lot of cobwebs behind the TV, which I discovered trying to turn the switch on as it had been switched off at the socket behind the tv. When we arrived it was about 29 degrees out and the lovely lady on reception offered us a double sheet in case the duvet was too warm for us. Warm was an understatement! Although they'd left the curtains closed and a fan going full blast, even Lucifer would have found the room too hot. Needless to say neither of us slept much during the 2 nights. We actually didn't feel too well after spending a night in that heat. We ate at the restaurant on the first night. Food was good and staff were wonderful with the added bonus of air con. Was a shame to see the restaurant so run down. I grew up around there so remember the pub/restaurant when it was thriving. All in all it's a good premier inn and handy to visit family but if I stay again I'll bring my own tower fan. Just want to add the whole staff team we came across were great. • U3240SYpaulinep (10/5): Stopover on way to cruise - Great place to stay if you’re going on a cruise. Staff very friendly and willing to help. Will definitely be back. Had an accessible room and there was plenty of room to manoeuvre wheelchair.
• davidlI9173BM (10/5): Enjoy our stay. - Could not fault the hotel and the Beefeater ,stayed over night before driving to the cruise terminal. The staff were friendly and polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this Premier inn. PS we stayed there on the hottest day of the year,no problems.
• I7812MYsusanm (10/5): A get together with my sister. Perfect option for us. - We’re regular visitors to Premier Inn. This stay was no different. Very friendly helpful staff. No drama check in. Rooms up to usual high standard. Clean, comfortable and well fitted out. Appreciated that fans were already in rooms as it was hot. Love that you can open windows enough for fresh air. We chose continental breakfast option which is really good. Plenty of choice.
