• NobberOxford (8/5): November 2025 Visit - OK stay after initial cleanlines issues addressed. Check in by machine fine all went wel until we pulled the duvet from under the mattress ( cant sleep with feet end tucked in ) the duvet was massively stained and vile we weren't prepared to have that on the bed, reception sorted this quickly and we had a new fresh duvet a sheet put on quickly, well done staff. Bar limited with drinks, but we found something adequate after all its not a pub!. Breakfast pretty good, plenty there apart from stone cold mushrooms both days. Wouldn't put us off returning, we will probably go back when we visit Derby again, parking discount worked fine, good location for town centere and shopping/pubs

• heatheroZ8402QB (6/5): Riverside is very good, but spoilt by poor quality food. - The location is brilliant, the hotel looks very good, and has plenty of space; the corridors were nice and wide, especially good for anyone in a mobility scooter. The hotel was very clean with excellent staff, and it was quiet. However, the food was of very poor quality, even for Premier Inn.
• 893kieranp (10/5): Great ! - I stayed here while on a business trip. We had booked on the meal deal which was amazing, the size of the party was a little unexpected on the first night, how ever Charlotte and pat handled it amazingly ! I would 100% stay here again
• andrewg819 (10/5): Great customer service. Management need to spend some money on fittings - Stayed before and after a trip to France. Thanks to Melissa who got us checked in politely and professionally when we arrived late and were very tired from our journey. Staff here are always high standard (unlike Oban P.Inn) and housekeeping do a great job of keeping this well used hotel (starting to show it's age now) clean. Hopefully Melissa gets involved in new staff training to bring them up to her own high standard of customer service.
• Excursion57544351469 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean comfortable room with plenty of parking, excellent breakfast next door in the Beefeater. Only useless thing was the WiFi which didn't work at all.
• 243lissk (10/5): One of the best premier inn we have stayed in. - 2nd time at this premier inn. It’s a perfect half way point to meet with family just off the A1 and it’s such a lovely one right by the lake. We find it peaceful. It’s also got plenty of places to eat within walking distance and an outlet shopping place next door. Vue cinema and the dome splash park nearby. Yorkshire wildlife park is only 15 minutes drive too. Great location with kids. Mandiva on reception is so lovely, she even gave my 5 year old some stickers when checking in and managed to check us in early with travelling far. They’re also renovating the building to add more rooms that will be premier plus rooms. Thank you for another fab stay !

• denisw629 (8/5): Car parking - Accommodation staff and food excellent but discounted car parking at near hotel was disappointing Advertised £8 for the 24 hour followed the checking in procedure registering car but when leaving the car park the full price of £14 charged. No time to go back to hotel.
• AAJS_UK (8/5): Good value - I'm a fan of Premier Inn's as I feel they offer good value, and this particular location reconfirms this. I was welcomed by friendly staff for an overnight stay. Breakfast is served in the pub next door, but I didn't use. The hotel entrance is a little outdated but it was clean. The room was a good size and was clean. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Great way to start the day! The downside was the outside noise. Walls seem to be thin so you can get disturbed sometimes. Overall, I would book this Hotel again.

• V113PPjamesm (10/5): Good budget accommodation with a well run and inexpensive restaurant on site - Two nights away to visit RAF Hendon museum then Dover Castle, while at Hendon got a text saying our rooms at Premier inn (east Dover) were cancelled however shortly afterwards had a call to say we were rebooked into this hotel. The first morning we were given complimentary breakfasts and the second night a voucher for 25% off of our dinner.
• keonp161 (10/5): Our stay at premier inn Dover (A20) - Our stay at the Dover A20 was ideal for our visit to Dover castle. The room was all clean and comfortable. Parking on site and with the Beefeater restaurant next door for breakfast and evening meals was convenient . We was greeted at reception by Melissa who booked us in and was very helpful and pleasant she gave us information on our stay. We would use this Premier inn again if we visited Dover again.
• Getaway444796 (4/5): Disappointing Stay – Poor Communication and Inconvenient Breakfast Arrangements - I am a regular Premier Inn customer, but my recent stay at the Premier Inn Derby City Centre (Riverlights) was extremely disappointing. I had prepaid for both accommodation and breakfast, only to discover on arrival—without any prior notice—that the kitchen was closed for maintenance “until further notice.” This meant the hotel could not provide the breakfast I had already paid for. Instead, I was told to walk to the Premier Inn at Cathedral Quarter each morning, pay again for breakfast, and then wait to be refunded. This alternative arrangement was highly inconvenient, especially as it involved a 7-minute walk in the rain every morning throughout my stay. It felt unfair to be made to deal with the consequences of an issue wholly caused by the hotel. To make matters worse, I have only received half of the refund for the breakfasts, despite following all instructions. The lack of communication, inconvenience, and incomplete refund have left a very poor impression, and this experience fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Premier Inn.
• Slickymoss (4/5): Not the nicest. - Stayed here for two nights. Had breakfast the first morning. £11 for a cold English breakfast to then watch them put hot stuff on top off the already cold stuff. ??? Bed clean. Shower wasn’t very powerful and has lots of black mould in bottom. Great location for the city centre. Parking only a 7 minute walk away. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed here several times but this was the first time in the annex lovely cosy spacious room, really nicely decorated and appointed, can't fault it. What really made the stay was the welcome from the receptionist Julie, she greeted us with a warm smile and a warm welcome. I just wish all hotel receptionists were as friendly as she is . . .

At the end of the day its a Premier Inn and it more than met the standards you expect. Will be returning again next year

• J2624TIjoe (10/5): Brilliant hotel - What a fabulous experience again. Came to celebrate my daughters birthday and attend a show one of the evenings. The room was clean and tidy and comfortable but what made our weekend was Charlotte and Nicole who made a fuss of my daughter and looked after us so well. Also a big thankyou to the chef who gave my daughter a crochet cat as a happy birthday present.
• mustee75 (4/5): Could have been better - The rooms are spacious and tidy, good beds, but the toilet was filthy, there was no Internet service in the room that I was given and the Receptionist couldn'tdo anything about it. Receptionist could have been a bit friendlier and helpful. The car park was great, enough space to park and a secure barrier which needs a code to access. The food was ok but could have been better if it's prepared and readily available to be eaten when arrived without having to make an order through someone. Though it is eat as much as you can, placing order takes so long for the food to be prepared and seservedThus defeats the whole of eat as much as you can. The gentleman the was nicer. Overall, I was expecting better service that I had.

• Culture20926998583 (6/5): Horrible check in - Used premier inn frequently over many years this was the first time I had encountered the digital check in process. Didn’t have a qr code with my booking so after arriving late at night after a long drive had to negotiate this, with no staff around, the finding there were no room cards left! Eventually a member of staff from the restaurant got the emergency card for the room but we couldn’t have two which meant if one left the room the other would be left in darkness as the card operates lighting. Very disappointing but otherwise room, bed and breakfast was up to standard.
• 691magp (10/5): Late summer break - A great hotel in a good position, quiet but easily found and not too far from Dover. We had an easy check-in and the room was very clean and well presented when we opened the door. Melissa, the receptionist, made us feel welcome and helped with a small problem which arose. Throughout our stay when she was on shift, Melissa was always pleasant and made us feel welcome. She is an real asset to your company.
• Railteacher (2/5): Faulty Towers joke hotel - Arriving at the hotel I was presented with large screens that look like they have come from a fast food outlet. I was told that I had to use them to book in. I attempted to retrieve my booking and it didn’t work. I was then directed to the book in desk, upon which I was told my company booking for three nights wasn’t valid. I was offered to pay personally for the three nights or get someone from my company to come to the hotel and pay. I walked out and WILL NEVER USE A FAST FOOD CHAIN PREMIER INN AGAIN. My company has put out a note to ALL employees not to use Premier Inn Hotels. You have just lost a lot of business
• JohannesdeJong (10/5): Perfect place to stay overnight before crossing to France - Only 20 minutes to the ferrys. Perfect beds, delicious food, free parking and very friendly staff. An employee prepares your breakfast fresh to order!
• M5389YQcarolinep (8/5): Comfortable night away. - Was very comfortable, really nice shower, lovely welcome from staff. Smell of wet dog in reception was off putting but no sign of it in room. Great parking. Excellent breakfast and service. I don't find the evening meals are the best but plenty to choose from and edible. Ordered two different cocktails both of which they didn't have the ingredients for. I was offered my third choice for free, so was kindly rectified.
• 968zannan (6/5): Improvements to be heard and made - Overall very nice lil hotel. This is second time me and my 2 young boys who have allergies. This hotel needs to serve variety of milks, not only cows and soya, and have better lighting. Family room needs some soert of plugh in night light for night toilet trips. This time i had to go to the shop and buy oat milk for my son,i left it on the counter for other customers and noticed atleast 3 customers going for Oat milk. I mentioned to the manager upon our last visit and it wasnt taken into consideration. Also it would be nice if FREE FROM items could be introduced,or atleast upon booking option to choose it,so hotel knows that allerfic client is arriving,to have time to prepare. Corridors are very dark,being epileptic there should be an option to chose closer to stairwell/lift room instead of for 5mins walk corridors. Self check in-might be a great idea ,but i personally prefare to be greated by staff and ask questions if needed.
• 5-star-review-only (4/5): Not the greatest - Near to the Dover channel. Breakfast tabels are not cleaned properly, sticky tops prob from last night boozz. Breakfast is not buffet. Rooms are ok.
• 347capt (6/5): An Old Premier Inn witha willing overworked staff - An old Premier Inn very much in need of refurbishment with almost uncontrollable heating/air con . A rather tatty adjacent Beefeater in even more need of refurbishment which seemed understaffed Staff were helpful but clearly overworked
• Tour506406 (10/5): 90th Birthday break - Perfect location with Lakeside Village shopping centre directly behind the hotel. Room was a good size and clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely surprise of a bottle of Prosecco in the room for my Mum's 90th Birthday. Very thoughtful gesture from the hotel. We only ate at the Beefeater restaurant once. The menu choices were quite limited unless you like spicy food. Prices were on the expensive side too. Having said that, the food we did have was served piping hot and was very tasty. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful too. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay and would return in the summer so we could go to the lake and the wildlife park.
• Y8934EUcb (2/5): Very poor, avoid if trying to break your journey across to France - The room was very poor. Small, dirty and hot. All the rooms had a single large shower head, and so were unusable for any women with long hair. Despite being advertised as in the countryside, there was significant road noise. Far from a relaxing break in a journey, it adds a lot of stress.
• Si405 (10/5): Great location if you’re visiting Derby and the surrounding area - Great location on the river and a very short walk to the shops and a stupendous amount of nightlife. It’s a Premier Inn so you pretty much know what you’re going to get and this one did not disappoint. It was clean, comfortable and affordable. There was a line to check in on a Saturday evening but the online check in helped move things along. They have a restaurant in the hotel that looked great but I didn’t get a chance to try it.

• graemec794 (6/5): Mundane - We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. There is no parking at the hotel so we parked at Siddals Lane- about a 10 minute walk given the road crossings involved. Fortunately it was a sunny day. On entering the hotel we saw 2 check in screens. We didn't see a human receptionist. One of the screens was working so we checked in and got a room card. We wanted 2 cards and managed to get another one later. Cards were needed to access the lift lobby and the lift itself. Both lifts were in action when we checked in but the next day only one was available for guests. The hotel has the appearance and atmosphere of a converted office block. Our room was on the second floor. It was a reasonable size with a small window which didn't let in much light as it looked out onto a concrete paved internal courtyard. No Riverside views in this room. The window was locked so we couldn't open it. It was a standard PI room in terms of facilities. The shower was not very powerful and there were no glasses in the bathroom We did not eat or drink in the hotel. I doubt we would return.

Clean, comfortable, practical and central. We are repeat visitors to this hotel, and we plan to continue choosing it for our future stays.

These two single handedly provided us with everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Even with our extensive requests nothing was too much to ask for them.
