- philipbC7598VQ (10/5): Christmas Spirit has certainly come to this Premier Inn this year - Thank you so much - Christmas Spirit has certainly come to this Premier Inn this year. The decorations in the reception as you walk in are FANTASTIC, the kids loved all the lights and decorations and especially loved the table of treats and colouring packs. Our room was spacious and clean if a little cold over night. Our breakfast was great, fresh, hot and plenty of food. The restaurant could do with an extension one of the smallest ones we have eaten in, but way above the rest for quality and service. The staff here should be commended on their service, there are areas of the hotel that look very worn out especially outside but i would come back every time. Well done
- P1705JUlindseyr (8/5): Great location but book in advance if you want to eat there - Excellent location and friendly staff.
Unfortunately, we weren't aware that the hotel doesn't have a lift, which meant lugging cases up the stairs. The room was clean and pleasant, with a nice fresh bathroom, though.
We were unable to get a table in the restaurant next door, as we weren't aware we would need to book in advance. Luckily, there is a retail park with restaurants not too far away. But it was raining and cold, so not ideal, particularly with a small child.
- M1284KAstephenh (8/5): Good stay - Room location bed breakfast were all of a good standard.Staff were very helpful. The room was spacious enough for pur needs.
- E9766TBshannono (10/5): Brilliant stay - We had a wonderful business trip to Tamworth. Laura in reception couldn’t do enough for us! Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area
- ianmel1969 (8/5): Mini Premier Inn - Just a small hotel this, mainly for the trade. There were many white vans outside!
The staff make this hotel. All seemed happy and nothing was too much trouble to help.
Found the room to be the bog standard Premier Inn and perfectly acceptable if a bit pricey (£130 for one night). Windows in desperate need of a clean from the outside.
Breakfast is served in 'The Social' a small room which somehow manages to squeeze in a few tables, a place for the continental food and a tiny kitchen. I worked out that most of the workmen would be down early for breakfast so went after 8am when it was thankfully a bit quieter. Would be a bit tight if everybody went down for breakfast at the same time. There was what looked like a derelict pub next door which I suspect may have been used for breakfast before closing down and P.I have had to think on their feet to provide breakfast for their customers.
Hotel is a 20 min walk from the rail station, no local buses nearby.
- Annesb (8/5): An extremely pleasant stay with an easy walk into town centre. - Have stayed at Premier Inn many times and my husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay here. Our room was very clean with an opening window and controllable heating. Breakfast was served in the Beefeater next door and was extremely well cooked and tasty. I am coeliac and the staff were very well trained and very helpful providing toast. Our walk into Tamworth over the bridge was enjoyable and took about 10 minutes with wonderful views of the castle and rivers.
- ianpT4546FD (10/5): Very good stay - Stayed for a local pool tournament, staff here are amazing and very accommodating. Stayed in a premier room with fridge and coffee machine, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was buffet in the beefeater which was hot and plentiful. Would definitely choose to stay here again if in the area.
- clairepT4327OA (10/5): WOW, the family room we had to stay in was HUGE - WOW, the family room we had to stay in was HUGE a great room. Although the aircon was not working so a little on the chilly side, but reception lady was great and gave us a heater. The kids really enjoyed their gifts, if any negative the outside could do with a refresh paint job looking very worn. But the staff are great and can't do enough. Thank you again
- johncR6500BO (10/5): A great breakfast just what you need - Thank you for a wonderful stop over, Trudy the chef is so welcoming and friendly nothing was to much trouble.
The lady on reception when i arrived was great and even helped me with a heater as the aircon was not working. A lovely stay and will be back again soon.
- rashidm731 (10/5): Great - Great stay as always, stay here weekly for work all the staff are friendly, extra towels available on request, lots of tea and coffee to help yourself to in reception, rooms are always cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast in the beefeater is always great
- C7624JQsonias (2/5): Look around for a better hotel - Water pressure very very low in both had basin and shower . Also on our last day we was unable to shower due to being no hot water in the room and no one available to complain to at reception. It's quite a noisy hotel being near a main road also on the other side people checking in later or returning from pub. Bathroom a few hairs around wash basin yuk on check in. The Beefeater at the side of the premier was not brilliant neither with half the food on offer on the menu not being available Friday through to Sunday 5pm on Sunday and no Sunday roast beef or Turkey even on the desert menu. So not really worth buying the meal deal. Breakfast bread and pastries stale, cold plates, cold and burnt food. The toilets well think they would get closed down if the environment authority's went in, they are totally disgusting. It's a shame as they have fantastic helpful staff at the Beefeater and at the hotel.
- X2004FAjakep (10/5): What a great stay, we had a lovely time staying with the family at your hotel - What a great stay, we had a lovely time staying with the family at your hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. Sonia and Trudy at breakfast were amazing great customer service and the poached eggs just perfect...
The room was warm and clean, the hotel is dated and a bit tatty from the outside but we could not find any fault with the cleanliness of our room. A great location just off the M5 for our trip down south. Thank you again to all the team which made our short stay just perfect.
- lancev417 (10/5): Excellent - Excellent stay, staff were amazing and friendly. Rooms recently refurbished and minimalistic, very clean and tidy. Plenty of tea and coffee on offer
Breakfast was outstanding. Really great stay
- danielaQ5273EU (2/5): Racist staff member - Stayed here as we were taking the children to Drayton Manor the following day. My complaint is regarding one staff member, who was outwardly racist towards me and my family. Dark haired man on the desk in the evening we checked in. Said our family name and he laughed and said you’ll have to spell that.
My husband spelled the name and the man on the desk laughed again. I asked what time breakfast was between and he kept pretending he didn’t understand me and my husband and kept smirking. He even said ‘can you say that in English’.
I asked to speak to someone else, but he said it was just him on shift as we were checking in so late (8:30pm).
The man has a serious mental health problem in my opinion, as well as being racist.
- gemmaag (10/5): Primary Inn was perfect Beefeater not so - Tamworth Centre
Clean tidy reception .staff friendly , room clean and tidy comfy bed had a fridge in room
Meals in the adjoining restaurant was Beefeater was OK wouldn't eat there again food was cold and sent back you do have a small supermarket near by
- EmmaP3143 (4/5): Not the usual standard. Will not be staying again - We had paid for 2 rooms on one booking, using the same payment card. When we arrived we were given one key. We had to keep reiterating that there was another room booked, which we eventually got the key for. My parents had the new room and we were given a room in the block across the car park. We thought we would be located next to our at least near each other. My parents didn't have any complaints about their room, which is great! But I'm afraid our room at 201 was NOT ideal. We arrived after 9pm, probably more like 10pm as we had a very long day. Our room smelled of damp as soon as we walked in. It was very dated, (unlike my parents room). I wasn't able to sleep until after 3am as the noise from the occupants upstairs kept me awake. We were also positioned by the stairs, and the door was constantly banging every 10 minutes or so, along with the sound of people walking/ running up and down the stairs. I slept from just after 3am to 6am, when I was awoken by people moving around. I don't think that room is soundproofed enough! We met with my parents for breakfast and although the food was delicious (usual standard I expect from Premier Inns) the space we were given was far from ideal. Again, although we booked 2 rooms on the same booking, they wanted to place my parents on a tiny table for 2 with square cubes as seats due to not being set up for a table for 4 at that time! We are given an alternative, so we were perched in the kitchen area, (not in the dining room) on stools. This was the only way we could sit together, which i was disappointed with.
My partner and I regularly use Preimer Inn whenever we go away anywhere, as the beds are comfortable and I can get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this location. I also overheard another guest complain about the noise in our block that night. I was left with 3 hours sleep and a disappointing stay overall. My parents wanted to book somewhere over the other side of the motorway and I persuaded them that Premier Inn would be better. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the standards were not what you would expect from a Premier Inn. Very disappointed. Will not be booking at that location again
- patric23 (10/5): Good location and very good breakfast - Convenient location with plenty of parking. The room was basic but clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed and nice bedding. The carpet could have done with a clean. The breakfast was particularly good. I would possibly go back although there are lots of choices for accommodation in Taunton.
- angiet150 (8/5): Good location - Easy location off the M5 suited us for our onward journey to Plymouth. Nice warm greeting. The twin bed wasn't made up in our booked room so apologise given and moved to another room in the annexe which was quiet. Not much in the way of eating places we travelled on a Monday so the village pub was closed. Miller and Carter the steakhouse next door expensive and long waiting times so didn't bother. We had eaten well throughout the day so just bought sandwiches and drinks at the local Sainsburys !! Breakfast very good. Lovely welcome by staff the eating area isn't huge but nicely decorated and has a cosier feel compared to other eating areas offered at Premier Inns. Comfy room, would stay again
- 652sharony (10/5): amazing stay. - location was great for us as we had a spa day as a gift literally 2 minutes from yhe premier inn.
The receptionist was very cheery x chatty and helpful.
Room was very clean spacious had everything we needed and bed was amazing.
The meal package was amazing value and food was absolutely delicious, staff at the beefeater were also all very friendly and helpful.
- 160nicholase (10/5): Amazing stay - Had a brilliant stay, check in was great all the info needed was given by the 2 lovely ladies on the desk. Room was spotless had an amazing nights sleep
- N2939LDpauls (10/5): Great stay - Location was perfect for everything we needed. Check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was a blonde lady and very friendly. Very impressed with the room, very clean and modern with a comfortable bed. We didn't have breakfast but I believe that is located in the beefeater.
- malcm49 (8/5): over night stay - its abit dated wat could do with a update as its alittle run down but it was mainly for work men wats probly working in the area i can only go by the room we stayed in that the bed was abit rought {lumpy} but we was tied from the jounry so you dont feel the aches and pain till morning but i can honesty say out of all the travel lodges and other remier inn the best breakfast i have had in them
- DAC72 (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - The usual Premier Inn experience in terms of comfortable bed, good room temperature etc but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed the new breakfast set up - have stopped having breakfast when it was in the Brewers Fayre as it was too busy but the inhouse restaurant was calm and relaxing, food was good and it was lovely and clean.
- jonasmM3354XQ (10/5): Super - Had a great stay, rooms were really modern and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn't do enough for you, check in was friendly. Breakfast was really good in the beefeater next door. Location excellent with retail park across the road and 5 minutes to snowdome.
- V8031FLwilld (10/5): Great breakfast - Went here for breakfast with the kids and the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much for them, they made it a really enjoyable experience.
- kevintD8795MG (6/5): Expensive, limited EV charging facility - Hotel and service good. EV charging limited (only 1 suitable charger plus limited to 90mins charging/parking). Had to wait on arrival as in use, went back later to find a non EV commercial van parked in the space! Advised reception who did nothing. Breakfast good. Expensive. Miller and Carter nearest place to eat again very expensive and had to wait over an hour to get a table (for1). Lots of parking on site so can’t understand why a van needed to park in the EV space?
- fragglerock00 (4/5): Not as clean as others I have stayed in. - Good location for the Snowdome and Retail park. Cleanliness of hotel room needs improvement which was disappointing.
- SalisburyFamily25 (10/5): Great stay, great staff - Me and my teenage daughter stayed the night before a dance competition being held locally. The staff were amazing. Hannah was on check-in, served us in the restaurant and was an all-round star. The facilities were really clean and there was everything we needed. Happy hour drinks were really reasonable and tasty! We slept well and everything in our room was clean and just as you’d want. Lena served up a great dinner for the price, and breakfast in the morning was great too. All round, a great stopover experience. Thanks to the team!
- clivew399 (10/5): The staff on reception went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable - What a gem of a hotel! Each moment was delightful starting with friendly welcoming staff and especially the breakfast, a very small restaurant but the quality and service was great. Not the prettiest hotel from the outside, but the rooms were clean and very comfortable, our friends could do with an updated bathroom. The staff on reception went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Somerset. The efficient early check-in process impressed me when we arrived at 11am at the hotel. They allowed us to check in early, our rooms were all ready for us. I had a wonderful experience at the Premier Inn Taunton Ruishton.
- alisony837 (10/5): The staff make the difference here... - This is possibly my favourite Peemier Inn.. it need a little updating and has no restaurant.. but the staff are always so welcoming and look after each and every guest.. I particularly want to mention Trudy the cook.. she always greats me in a warm and authentic way, she remembers what I like to order for breakfast and has a friendly chat whilst I'm waiting for the things she is preparing. She is such an asset to this site... and I hope she gets the credit she deserves.
- Cruiser45341573021 (10/5): Good stay - Work stay. Very good breakfast selection, comfortable rooms and good size beds,
Staff members welcoming and lovely, huge carpark with electric charging points, very close to most things, there is a miller and carter next door. Good stay for work purposes, no complaints.
- F7164UKmaryw (10/5): Thank you to all the staff on breakfast, the selection was great - Thank you to all the staff on breakfast, the selection was great and hot especially the poached eggs cooked to perfection. The restaurant is very small i am so glad we booked a time when we arrived. It did get very busy at times and if you like toast don't hold your breath they take an age to cook.
Our room was pleasant and clean, it's not the most modern Premier Inn we have been in but everything was just as you would expect. Great service, Friendly staff.
Nothing was to much trouble, we felt well looked after.
The hotel is located just off the M5 J25 so easy to use on the way South.
- C8448KIsamantham (10/5): Comfortable stay. - Stayed overnight to break up our journey travelling from the west Midlands down to Bodmin.
Room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
Next morning we thoroughly enjoyed our hot breakfast, which set us up nicely for our journey down to Bodmin.
Thank you, Premier Inn Taunton.
- lin4197 (6/5): Staff excellent, accommodation decor poor - in need of refurbishment - Location convenient, just off M5 at Jct 25. Rooms very quiet - no motorway noise. Retail park close by with Sainsbury's - doesn't have a cafe anymore. No restaurant facilities linked to the Premier Inn apart from breakfast.
The Ruishton Inn claims to be 5 minutes walk away - it's much further than this and along a narrow country lane which does not have a footpath - so not safe to walk along, particularly in the dark. The 2 nights we were staying the Ruishton Inn was not doing food yet hadn't removed their placard at the road entrance to the Premier Inn.
Reception and housekeeping staff were excellent - extremely helpful, considerate, accommodating and kind. All great representatives for the chain.
Accommodation was tired, some elements in need of repair and generally the hotel needed to be refurbished. Rooms were as clean as one would wish them to be however elements had been poorly repaired.
Reasonable value for money however given state of decor and poor standard of repairs would not choose to stay at this Premier Inn again.
- N2194RPalanc (10/5): Comfortable beds, great food, friendly service - Mum and I returned to this hotel after a very positive experience last year, and we hope to return again next year. The location is ideal for us, as we came to watch the cricket and explore the town. All the staff, particularly Hannah, Ben and Amy were so friendly and helpful, and really looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble. They were always on hand to answer any queries we had, and to provide anything we needed for our room. On arrival, our original room was swapped for one on the ground floor, to accommodate my mobility difficulties - a change that was made without us even asking for it, but which was very much appreciated. Our beds were very comfortable, and mum and I are both keen to purchase one of the Premier Inn mattresses now that we are home. The food was also excellent. All in all, a first class customer experience. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
- royn68 (8/5): Short stay - Since my last visit it would appear that the rooms have been upgraded. Our room was spotless and the staff very pleasant. No air con in the rooms but a fan was provided. Free parking is still provided but you must enter you car reg at the reception.
- Sightsee42552563178 (10/5): Breakfast - The breakfast was delicious.. loved the scrambled eggs! Very calming atmosphere. Thank you Abbie (Chef) looking forward to coming back again for breakfast!
- stacey272638282 (10/5): Great staff and Food! - I was sat near the breakfast buffet and had a chance to say hello to chef Dave, he was lovely and the food was delicious! We had an amazing time.
- Discover35560707882 (10/5): Taunton on business - Lovely and clean and good location. Excellent service, Room cleaned daily by Vicki. Nice breakfast opens early in the week at 6.30am.
- Explore8402 (10/5): An Excellent Start to our Mini-break. - Check in very smooth. Queries dealt with. We had pre-paid breakfast but there is an evening meal/breakfast deal. Because we had an evening meal we got our food & one drink each for £20. The food was lovely. I had the curry & my wife had the macaroni cheese. Both dishes good quality & tasted very excellent. Hannah, Amy & Ben attended very well. An excellent start to our stay.
- Coastal32129668650 (8/5): Good experience - Convenient location for training at my new company, very clean and friendly guy on reception. Only complaint was there was no decaff coffee in the room
- BigVern932 (10/5): Super Staff!!! - Stayed for work (night shift) on a very busy Saturday night.
The rooms do need some urgent TLC & the wifi / phone signal is virtually non existent.
However, the ladies on duty could not have been more helpful & accomodating in every way. Thank You all.
Huge shout out for Sasha (evening shift - Nanny??), Mel (morning shift - "don't forget your water bottle" 😉) & Trudy (breakfast chef - BEST MUSHROOMS EVER!!!)
Will definitely be back soon
- 607andrewa (10/5): Comfortable stop over after a long flight. - Used the hotel to avoid a long drive home after a long flight. Checked in at 3:30am and the receptionist was very, efficient, friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern, as you would expect from Premier Inn. The comfy beds were welcome after a five hour night flight.
- tomstermcl (10/5): Comfy stay - Nice staff, helpful and good service. Checkin was easy and room as expected, super clean and the correct temperature. I went for food in a small but comfortable room. Chicken Katsu curry was delicious and served with doom bar beer. Excellent stay all round.
- sonnyj923 (10/5): The staff offered me welcoming services including a fantastic large room - I booked the hotel at the last minute, and I was very happy with my selection. The staff offered me welcoming services including a fantastic large room. The selection of fruits and pastries during breakfast was awesome
As a business traveller who has stayed at many hotels, this one caught my attention. My late-night check-in was handled well by the lady on reception. The area was so quiet, wonderful for getting some rest. We look forward to coming back
- disneycourtney69 (6/5): Fair but bathrooms poor - Run the bath first removed hair in the bath, got in bath omg scum all up the side it’s not clean , the towel hung up was stained.
- planegirl100 (8/5): Nice room, easy to go places from here! - Stayed for 5 nights during the heatwave in mid August (24-27 degrees) Room was nicely appointed, decor and furniture looked new and it was clean. Shower was great and the bed very comfortable. Beefeater next door and parking right outside - easy to enter reg details for free parking at main reception. Short walk into Tamworth across the bridge and within walking distance to the huge Ventura retail park.
Unfortunately the room was right on the dual carriageway/roundabout so noisy all night. Being so hot and needing to have the window open staying asleep and not being woken by fast/noisy cars and bikes was an issue. Fan in the room was useful but with a south facing room just circulated hot air.
Reception staff were amazing, very helpful, someone was always available and super friendly but professional. I forgot to ask for my room to be cleaned one day however this wasnt an issue due to reception staff being so helpful in getting fresh towels and emptying bins etc. Would stay again but not when its hot as there's no air con here
- michaela19862 (10/5): Lovely updated rooms - Previously stayed here numerous times and the last time I left a negative review, so time to update.
This year we stayed, staff very lovely on arrival, helpful, chatty and friendly.
I believe some of the rooms have had an update, we stayed in room 24 and it was lovely, it was very cosy, fresh and looked clean.
It really did need an update in the rooms so I'm super happy they've done this as its our go to hotel for coming to visit family.
New shower, new carpet, new furniture.
Very central hotel between a retail park and the castle grounds and town centre, easy to walk to and very convenient.
- corcky1 (8/5): Good stay overall - Very good stay overall... communal places could have been cleaned better...staff were great especially in restaurant
- N6763YImarkd (10/5): Nice basic hotel - Stayed overnight for work meeting. Had meal in bar area. Thanks for all your help, particularly Hannah and Lizzy.
No air conditioning in room, but was comfortable.
- joowens67 (10/5): Breakfast - We popped in for a breakfast as we weren’t staying there,Debs the manager was so welcoming and lovely.she was very helpful showing us where to go to get our breakfast.i must say the chef Abbie was a real sweetheart who cooked a couple of poached eggs for my other heart without questioning.all food was cooked to perfection and as always very enjoyable.Debs made sure we were happy and made me a coffee to go
Overall our experience was brilliant so if your away and need a breakfast I’d highly recommend here, nothing was too much trouble which is so lovely as we were only there for a feed.many thanks girls you made me smile with your service
- 207mikeg (4/5): Would not recommend. Room too hot, bed hard and lumpy, No lift. - No lift, The room was far too hot, 27.5c at night and no air conditioning, the bed was hard and lumpy and the shower kept going cold. Staff were friendly.
- IanPLancashire (6/5): In Need Of A Refurb - This was my first stay here and I probably won’t be returning.
Staff were nice and friendly and I was allocated a room on the ground floor. The room was tired and shabby with bits missing out of the bathroom door and chips in the bath. Also the carpets needed a good clean. The floors were horrendous as previous reviews have mentioned. Creaking loudly every step you made. The room was also boiling hot with no air conditioning.
The location is decent, 10 minutes from the motorway junction and a 20 minute walk into town. I didn’t eat in the restaurant but instead had a walk into town.
Definitely in need of a refurb.
- jj9 (4/5): Staff are great, but I can't recommend this hotel - On the positive side, very clean, and staff extremely friendly. The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is good quality.
There was apparently renovation work going on, and both the Premier Inn website and reminder e-mails warned me of this and apologised in advance for any inconvenience or disturbance. This left me confused, as there was no evidence of ongoing renovation, and if in fact the renovation has already happened, I have to wonder what was renovated.
The rooms are done in classic Premier Inn style, and the carpets and curtains looked new. Some of the fitted plywood furniture was worn and damaged, and my room had a cracked bathroom basin. As others have mentioned, there is no air conditioning (though there were two fans in my room, and the windows do open). Also, in common with other Premier Inns, no safe, no fridge and no iron or ironing board.
The big problem, though, and the reason I would not recommend this Premier Inn as a place to stay, is noise. Nothing to do with renovation work, or the surrounding area (which is a modern-ish housing estate), and everything to do with the structure. The floors, whether in the rooms or in the hallways, creak chronically, and the walls are paper-thin. You will not spend any time here without disturbing your neighbours, or being disturbed by your neighbours. Every step you take, and every word you speak, will be felt in the room(s) next door. If there was any renovation, it completely ignored the floors and the walls. The only place the floor didn't make any noise was the bathroom. I would estimate that the building dates at the earliest from the 1980s, so it's not as if you could say that the wood floors under the carpets are creaky because you're in a historic building.
I didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, which looked OK to me, but which according to other reviews is not great. There is a menu in each room, which fascinatingly announces what food is available during the restaurant's opening hours, but neither the menu nor the door of the restaurant itself tell you what those opening hours are. The only alternative nearby sources of food and drink are a local early-till-late shop about 5 minutes' walk away, and a larger (and not very hygienic-looking or smelling) Tesco Express about 10 minutes' walk away. The centre of Taunton and the railway station are walking distance away (about 20-25 minutes).
Premier Inns are consistent in look, but not always in state of repair or quality. The chain obviously showcases its newer hotels, but others, like this one, often need TLC.
- charltonsmith49 (4/5): - The staff were all great, room was great except it was far too hot to sleep even with a fan running all night. I asked for a room with a walk in shower due to hip replacements, I was told point blank we do not have any! We were there for three nights and I could not get a shower. Breakfast room was tiny and not as shown. Getting breakfast is like joining a rugby scrum, long queue for 1 toaster which takes ages. hot food OK.
- Quest17605333200 (10/5): Overnight stay - Stayed for a friends wedding. Everyone and everything was perfect. The staff went out of their way to make sure the team had everything we needed. Was one of the hottest days but they went out of their way to make sure we had extra fans. Nothing was too
Much trouble.
- davidgV7408AU (2/5): Rooms too hot in June - This hotel does not have air conditioning. On a sunny day the first floor and rooms becomes unbearably hot. With two air fans blowing, sleep still was uncomfortable and not as guarenteed. We were forced to cut a visit short, to escape the unrelenting stifling heat.

The room was spotless, the location ideal, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. But what really made the stay memorable was Debs — an absolute star! Friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly cares so much about guests having a great stay. Thank you, Debs — we’ll definitely be back!
- Geraldine57307 (10/5): Wedding stay - Great stay. Went for a wedding. Fab welcome from staff. The social restaurant space was great. We had pre and post wedding drinks. Nothing was too much trouble.
Staff are amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely be staying again. Close to town
- juliekent999 (6/5): Lovely staff, appalling food. - The hotel itself is good. The staff are absolutely lovely & so accommodating & friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant really lets it down. Premier Inn have closed the pub that was attached to it which we were told, was loved by local people. They now have a tiny - no bigger than 2 of their bedrooms, restaurant. The choice is very, very limited. I had nachos to start. They weren’t even loaded nachos just literally a packet of plain tortilla chips chucked on a plate with a very synthetic tasting salsa as a dip. Then, being vegetarian, I had a choice of macaroni cheese or tomato & chilli linguine. I opted for the mac cheese. Well it was like a tin of the Heinz macaroni cheese I used to eat years ago. My husband had the fish & chips which was all frozen & oven baked & honestly not even as nice as the frozen M&S fillets you can buy. This is appalling Premier Inn. Not the fault of the staff at all - they can only work with the equipment they are given.
