Guest Reviews
- Julie (10/5): - Great staff, clean, great value, good location.
- Venture33176343775 (8/5): Could be 5 star but…… - Booking, reception, room, bed, quality of food was really good. Restaurant service was a slightly lacking probably because they were busy and under-staffed. Sad that we couldn’t upgrade the size of our wine as they could only do a “fixed measure”. Seems a short-sighted policy as surely it would increase profit as well as letting us have what we wanted.
- garypJ6850QD (6/5): Average to ho-hum - Limited car parks, cold room. No spare blankets, mould in the bathroom - bath edge sealant. Carpet had odours . Felt it gets business because of no competition
- GPepper2015 (6/5): Very average hotel, overpriced due to no close competition. Heater in the room was a joke. Mould on the sealant . - Old tired facility. Mould on sealant at the side of the bath, broken toilet seat . No competion close by so they don’t try .
- Curiosity755972 (8/5): Clean and comfortable in a good location - We stayed for a 3 night break ina Premier plus room.
Great location to explore the Cotswolds area. The room was clean and comfortable with the addition of a fridge and coffee machine.
Helpful staff and Beefeater just a few strides away.
- A5136JGsued (4/5): Banging doors and mould!!! - Basic room but bed was clean and comfortable. Phone charger beside left hand side of bed not working . Room 102 has a wonderful view of the mould all the way down the opposing hotel wall which matched the mould on my room ceiling!!! Poor building and gardens - no love given to either.
Cancelled my 8pm dinner reservation as meals looked unappetizing.
The worst thing was the constant slamming of the door in Reception which was directly under my room.
Please for the love of God install soft hinge closers on the doors!!!!!
Never again!!!
- keiranr2018 (4/5): Poor stay will consider elsewhere next time - Poor rooms in need of refurbishment heating barley works window handle not closing the window. I was on a dinner bed and breakfast package as part of my booking I checked into the receptionist was friendly and welcoming spoke through the check in explained I had a meals package but when ordering in the restaurant they didn’t have the package staff was rude in telling me this ended up with a phone call to the booking company to rectify but the food I originally ordered was put under a hot lamp the steak was rock hard after asking for a medium rare this was now well done. Uncomfortable night sleep due to the room being so cold. Woke in the morning for a Luke warm shower. Breakfast wasn’t very fresh very poor for premier inn standards. On check out my meals allowance was again questioned even thought this had been emailed to the hotel reception. Will stay elsewhere next time
- 71cbank (10/5): More than happy with our stay at Premier In Glenrothes - We were visiting for a junior farts tournament. We had a lovely welcome; we had purchased a dinner/ breakfast package and gentleman offered to book it for us. Our room was cleam, very comfortable, tea coffee making facilities, there was a bath with overhead rainforest shower with toiletries. Lovely towels. Although we had a food package we had full choice from the menu, 2 courses + 1 drink. Breakfast was buffet style but fresh and plenty of choice. Happy to visit again and no hesitation to book Ptemier Inn Again.
- M7895DErayb (10/5): Best in the Cotswolds - This was my fourth visit to this hotel. The same high standards were evident all round. Clean room, really helpful reception staff and literally at the front door disabled parking.
The Beefeater restaurant was well up to scratch with reasonably priced food and drinks served quickly and with a smile. S
I think this is the best Premier Inn in th5 Cotswolds because of it's countryside location. No noisy Industrial park or city centre to worry about.
- popcicle20 (8/5): Great stay. - Great premier inn and we’ve stayed in a few. 15 mins from Cheltenham and 40 mins to The Farmers dog. Great staff from reception, bar, restaurant and cleaning staff, no problem checking in just remember to add your registration number on the pad in reception. Room was a good size, quiet and clean, had breakfast on both days continental and full although the full is order and not buffet, but both a good standard. We will definitely be back.
- DeeT166 (6/5): Average stay, uncomfortable bed. - Short notice stay to see my dad in nearby carehome.
With little accommodation to choose from as I have no car, I needed an affordable room, near my dad and easy to get to on foot.
1st nite was really cheap then following 2 nites the price doubled.
Surely last min bookings take your unbooked room, so surely should be discounted? Apparently not.
Room was good size, well fitted with a bath and shower so bonus, however I would disagree about the comfortable bed. It was way too hard for me and coupled with hard pillows, I had a difficult sleep, waking with back and neck pain.
Very disappointing.
Not keen to stay again.
- B8752ZJleet (4/5): Dissatisfied - Usual Premier Inn experience. As a business trip I needed the desk for work. However no bulb in the lamp! I reported this the next morning, but returned to my my room to work late that evening to find still no bulb despite asking! Also no hot water from the sink tap for all 3 days! Shower had hot water. Had to boil the kettle to have a wash.
I didn’t report the water as the lamp bulb issue reminded me of Premier Inn response to reporting problems. Unlike years ago you now get no action. Another disappointing Premier Inn stay.
- 661buntyk (6/5): Disabled disapointment again - I cant say this visit was outstanding because it was'nt. Being disabled I always find it difficult to get to the accessible room because its always furthest away from the reception area and all the disabled equipment has to be trundled down corridor after corridor and through several heavy fire doors. Why Oh Why cant the accessible rooms be sited near to reception for ease of access. Its bot just at Goole its everywhere BUT at Goole I found everything else about standard for Premier Inns but I think the restaurant needs to pep itself up a bit and encourage the staff to be more user friendly and to MEND THEIR COFFEE MACHINE AND ORDER ENOUGH COOKED BREAKFAST ITEMS TO COVER ALL GUESTS not just shrug their shoulders when either of these items are not available.
- Matthew (2/5): - The rooms we booked were not available when we arrrived. They were unable to accommodate us with the correct rooms. One of our guests had to sleep on the floor. This is unacceptable.
- M8068USkathyc (10/5): comfy, cosy and safe - The Premier inn is excellent. The welcome is always great and the staff are superb. As someone with accessibility needs, I always find help with everything I need. It's comfy, cosy and safe
- V1445SBkerryh (10/5): Outstanding service - I can not praise the service I received at this location enough! I had car problems and had to pull off the motorway and a gentlemen called Aidan could not do enough to help us, even getting me a local tyre company's telephone number. His such polite and friendly service took the edge of what had been a bad day. Outstanding service and would love to return in the future under better circumstances
- Cwright101 (10/5): Relaxing stay - Easy to access from the motorway. Conveniently situated for Goole and Howden.
Friendly staff especially Taylor and Reo who on Saturday evening kept their cool and professionalism despite being the only two staff on the floor and behind the bar.
Hotel clean and tidy. Large quiet floor fan in the room.
- Compass21765414066 (10/5): Another great time - This was my third stay at this hotel. I attend the RIAT airshow every year and the hotel is ideal for this.
This was my first experience in a premier plus room and I was very impressed. The room is more spacious and has everything you need. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good and they do a really good breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay and I will be staying again in a Premier Plus room.
- NKay84 (8/5): Glenrothes premier inn - We stayed for 2 nights in same room, room temperature was perfect, beds comfy, not enough plug sockets by bed. Great location for visiting local attractions. We visited loch leven, culross palace, Falkland palace and kellie castle.
We didn’t stay for breakfast.
- 354sylviaf (10/5): Very relaxing and friendly place to stay - Lovely place to stay with lovely surroundings and very helpful and friendly staff. Room was spotless and looking forward to returning next year.
- berdav2022 (10/5): Ideal location for short break - Lovely Premier Inn close to where we wanted to go. Staff were helpful after an initial dispute over whether they accepted leisure vouchers, which they did.
- 717claricef (10/5): Great stay ! - Lovely 2 night stay here meeting family and friends for a 60 th birthday . Hotel was clean with new rooms and all the team we spoke too were friendly and professional. We will be back next year!
- W9108GNalexh (2/5): Wouldn't recommend - Interent didn't work at all so spent almost 40 minutes arguing to change room as I needed signal/wifi to work. Was told by the staff that "yeah the Internet is always shocking, can't refund you or send you to another hotel. Im not meant to move your room but I can put you in a wheelchair accessible room if you want. Which had low sinks and bed and everything else.
Have stayed in other premiere inn and they were good but this one. Wouldn't recommend.
- 467glynne (8/5): Good stay but! - An attractive offer of a free breakfast gave us the opportunity to sample a night at this Premier InnThe surrounding area is a very pleasant and leafy area so is an attractive location for the Premier Inn. There is a restaurant on the site (a Brewers Fayre) and a very short distance away a Toby Carvery. The room was well serviced and the bed comfortable. Apart from the free internet not seemingly working our only criticism would be to question who decided that a room for two people should only have one chair. I will happily lie on a bed at the appropriate time but not as a substitute for sitting down. Needs a rethink!
- Katherine_EastLondon (2/5): No thank you! - Do not book a family room or double without air con here! It wasn't clear to us when booking but some have AC and some do not. The window opens a couple of CMs and the fan blows hot air around. It was circa 27 degrees plus the whole time. The TV is set at a max volume of 15 which you can't hear over the fan.
It's also not very secure. The room/keycard only part of the hotel could be accessed by anyone as seemed broken.
Awful 2 nights sleep meant we were all exhausted and dehydrated for our planned activities. All the rooms around us had their doors wedged open so assume they were suffering too. We tried to stay out for as long as possible to avoid time in the room, sleeping in the car was discussed one morning at 3am!
Rough and now have an aversion to the Premier Inn brand. We stay in these quite a lot and in our experience the rooms are usually big, comfortable all with AC. This was cramped and horribly claustrophobic. Avoid!
The staff were friendly but not empowered to offer much assistance. The Beefeater breakfast was good and again staff were wonderful.
- ClaireP241 (10/5): Fantastic stay at Premier Inn Gloucester Little Witcombe - Aways a fantastic stay here. Can highly recommend. All staff are fantastic, helpful and pleasant. We had lovely rooms and a great stay.
- X9100UAmarkn (2/5): POOR breakfast service - Always stay at Premier Inns and find them great, However this one at Goole has diabolical breakfast service, normally it’s a very quick turn around and friendly staff but Goole was very different, got seated and didn’t see the staff member again to take my breakfast order, sat and had a leisurely coffee and waited then gave up ,
USELESS unfortunately I will probably be back due to work needs
- 803paulx (10/5): Great stay - First time staying here as my normal hotel was fully booked. I was pleasantly surprised, it was a great stay. All reception staff were super helpful and friendly and made me feel very welcomed. Love the premier plus rooms!
- nicbarker2018 (4/5): Noisy doors and stairs - Receptionist lovely. Room nice size. Noise from constant banging doors all evening and from 6am. Stayed in room 100- could hear people using the stairs, doors constantly closing loudly . Not people being noisy but the doors obviously don’t have quiet closing. Not a relaxing stay.
- sus42 (6/5): Needs modernising - Stayed overnight as attending an event in the area. Found it to be quite dated and in need of updating, especially the bathroom. Room was stifling, thermostat was at 25 degrees and never went lower. There was a fan in the room thank goodness, however it did make for a pleasant nights sleep. Tap water was scalding, way to hot. Overall was convenient for us but have stayed in much better Premier Inns.
- Bogusz84 (10/5): - Great service at the reception, Mrs. Kinga was very nice and helpful, the room was very nice and spacious, a place worth recommending
- RaynNicky (8/5): Met our expectations and would stay again - After a bit of a disaster last year at a different Premier Inn we were very pleased to find everything here so much better. We booked 2 nights in an accessible room with wet room and this was as expected, although the bed was a bit too low (we perhaps should have asked whether it could be raised but didn't) and the pull down shower seat was not really accessible for my wife as she usually uses a wheeled shower chair. The only other gripe was that the room was a long way from reception (almost as far as you can get!) but overall it suited our purpose. Breakfast was fine on one day and OK for me the next but some problem in the kitchen meant that a lot of people could not be served hot food. Dinner on the first evening was good.
- CornishMoorlandMan (4/5): Please put AC's in your rooms! - 32deg C in my room at 10pm. No AC. Unable to open the windows to let fresh air in. It felt like a budget backpackers hostel in West Africa. Other than that it was fine.
- 147aamirm (10/5): Cozy comfortable stay with bad Wifi - Comfortable stay, homely environment and supporting staff. Tea/coffee was really good. However, free wifi was very bad not working at all
- lizzie998 (8/5): Ideal stop over location - The room was clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.
Disappointed there was no decaffeinated coffee on offer.
Plenty of car parking space.
No lift and when I asked for a ground floor bedroom was refused. Did try to call beforehand but phone not answered.
- I3671ZUtonys (4/5): Worst stay yet - The beds are comfy but it is looking very tired and run down. Badly needs a refurbishment. The dead flys on the window sill didn’t help. If you have mobility issues then there are only two wet rooms the other ones have baths with no grab rails. Bath mats are available on request.
- Carolpad (10/5): A great premier Inn to stay at - Fabulous Premier Inn. Extremely clean and well kept with great staff and great showers. Comfortable bed , super tv and great spot. Big tea mugs, super towels . Highly recommend . Would return again no problem . Brewers fayre restaurant 30 second walk with good all inclusive breakfast and friendly staff.
- Abirag (2/5): Disgusting housekeeping - Firstly the staff on reception were fantastic and friendly
Sadly I had the worst nights sleep in an uncomfy but NEW silent night bed, the old ones were definitely better
So much so I tossed and turned all night and awoke to find the pillow case half off to reveal the most disgusting stained pillow case protector, it made me feel sick and housekeeping would clearly have seen this huge stain when they changed it
I mentioned this on checkout and the poor nights sleep and was advised to report it asap to Customer Services for a refund which I did
The refund I received was £34 not a full refund of £53 as was told that the beds have all been upgraded in the last year
I explained that the complaint was for uncleanliness and would have expected a full refund without hesitation regardless of quality of sleep
After endless emails they insisted this is all I was entitled to under their good housekeeping policy which is a shame as the staff are an asset to Premier Inn
- M7139HSandyp (10/5): Absolutely fantastic highly recommend - Fantastic stay. Definitely recommend this place. Meal deal absolutely brilliant and food fab. Breakfast fantastic and great choice . Staff very friendly despite us being a group of 10 with all sorts of choices including children. Play area great hit with children
- fluffymonkey (8/5): Good nights sleep - I had a good two night stay at Premier Inn Glenrothes. Room was as expected, if a little dated and worn out in parts, but more importantly it was clean and being located on the back of the hotel very peaceful for a good nights sleep as I am a light sleeper.
Shower perfect, although its the old fashioned over bath type with curtain, good pressure & hot, no issues here for me.
- X1471FEcolettec (8/5): Spacious and Comfortable - Good:
Spacious room with comfortable bed (essential!)
Decent food - haddock and chips was very nice.
Staff - Attentive, pleasant and efficient.
Not So Good:
Staff ‘washing up’ dirty cutlery very noisily near our breakfast table.
All-in-All a comfortable stay at a decent price
- JossC (10/5): Always great staff at a Premier Inn! - A warm welcome from Louise. Louise kindly ensured we had everything we needed, supplying me with an extra sheet. The room was clean and tidy. A fan has been provided too. The bed was very comfortable. I would prefer a thinner duvet, hence asking for the sheet. The road was a little noisy, but we had earplugs, so not an issue. We also met, Karen, Michelle and Claire on the reception, they were all cheery and friendly too. In fact all staff were great. A good stay. Thank you.
- 973denhams (10/5): Lovey stay at Premier Inn - Our stay at Premier Inn was truly delightful! The rooms were impressively spacious, providing ample space to relax. Additionally, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Overall, it was a wonderful experience marked by comfort and convenience.
- E4390OBamandah (10/5): Good experience - Easy check in, helpful and friendly staff throughout. food was quick and of good quality.
As a solo resident I felt safe and looked after, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean with modern decor that was well maintained.
I would go back if I was in the area again.
- lucyp68 (10/5): Great Stay – Clean, Comfy, and Convenient! - Had a really pleasant stay at Premier Inn. The room was spotless and the bed super comfy—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. Great location with everything I needed nearby. Excellent value for money—would definitely stay again!
- O312QRdennisb (10/5): Amazing hotel thanks to the staff - Been staying with this hotel for about 2 months now. Always a pleasure to see a friends face. The staff is amazing and very helpful. Always get the same room each week and is very quiet hotel. The restaurant staff are great too. Good friend service
- garybA6185OI (10/5): Amazing staff! Excellent service - Premier inn goole is amazing. Been staying for 2 months and stayed in same room. Can't fault it at all. Staff are lovely. Very helpful. From scout Gary. Restaurant good value for money. Meal deal great deal. Will continue to stay here!!!!!!!
- garyaU7723UA (10/5): Great stay at Google - Good stay. Friendly staff. Always same thought out the hotels I stay with. Jordan very helpful and accommodation. Stay with premier inn for business and leisure. Can’t complain. Always get what I ask… restaurant has excellent service and good quality food
- Y324KYpaulp (4/5): Surprisingly a below average and expensive stay - Poor level of service from reception with staff member also off cleaning rooms etc. Waited 15.mins to som0ly check in and when we needed to.extend stay their system.went down and couldn't confirm the extension. Price.is extortionate for a premier inn. Probably down to fact that business users now routinely stay there
- 653stephenl (6/5): OK experience at the Premier Inn - Had a two night stay here - visiting the area around York.
Fair number of parking spaces - never really alhad any problems finding a space. Check in was fairly quick after a slight wait for a staff member to appear.
However our given room (15) smelt of damp as soon as we opened the door - not sure if it was a room that wasn't used so much and with the cold conditions - but in any case, we had to ask for another room (125) which was warmer and had no such smell. Room condition was good overall - but one bedside usb socket was broke, the pillows bit uncomfortable, room temperature was a tad high.
Hotel condition overall is a bit tired tbh compared to other Premier Inns I've stayed at - but staff here were friendly and helpful overall at least. Convenient location with a few takeaway places nearby.
- U1906XPandym (4/5): one night stay and will not be staying again - stayed here yesterday room was ok but need a good clean as the seats in room were stained and the curton feel down when we shut then. and there was a smell when we enterd the room will not be staying again. the only relay good thing was the girl at reception was very nice
- 943gailt (10/5): Excellent - We spent three nights here and were very satisfied with everything. The room was clean and comfortable, enough surfaces to unpack and not have to live out of the suitcase. Nice size car park and all the staff were delightful. We had an issue with the tv remote not working, I went to reception and I was given a new replacement immediately.
Breakfast was excellent on each morning, and the two evenings we ate there the food was good, typical Brewers Fayre food, but well cooked.
We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending.
- S7612UElaurenp (2/5): What a dump - The room was filthy.
Spiderwebs everywhere, brown stains on the bedding which I will generously say looked like chocolate, and dirty teaspoons.
This wasnt the only thing I wasnt thrilled with, had they asked me to provide this review so i could have copy/pasted my feed back that would have been more convenient.
Try the Travelodge.
- markcD9187JU (6/5): Dirty room! - We had to wait till 3.15pm to check in as the room was not ready. Was given another room that was dirty. Long black hair in the main bed! Hair(pubic) on wall in bathroom, waste bin was filthy in bathroom, toothpaste spatter up the side of the sink. Not good at all.
- 303hazeln (6/5): Friendly and helpful staff - Friendly and helpful staff.
But the beds were not as comfy and the breakfast not as generous as it used to be. Dinner was fine and a good price with the dinner and breakfast combined option.
You have to go outside the hotel to get to the restaurant which is not ideal during a storm.
- 931georgier (2/5): Mould infested - I will not be using this Premier Inn again. It is getting progressively worse. We left on Christmas Day as we did not want to stay in the mould infested room for another night. Devastating considering I had booked to see my family. There were hardly any guests staying but we were all put next to each other meaning I was woke up early on Christmas morning when another guest was banging on his door after getting locked out. The rooms always smell in this premier inn as the rooms are damp infested. The newer building is never in use. On Christmas Eve we bought a drink in the bar and basically made to feel an inconvenience. We were only allowed to sit on one table despite people still eating in the lounge area. The table had chairs stacked around.
- Karl-Tracy (10/5): Always what you expect - I use premier inn all the time for business, i prefer them as you always know what you are going to get,
The security of the car parks is very important to me, they are always secure and have cameras.
The only thing I would welcome is a discount for regular uses.
- C7524WZhelens (6/5): Fine for one night. - The bed was very comfy (and high!), and the room was large and quiet enough for the one night we stayed. There was only one electrical socket at one side of the bed, so I had to charge my phone etc. over at the dressing table, while my husband charged his at the bed. There was a large chip in the enamel in the bath and the shower was hot but it didn't get to the temperature my husband would have liked, though the tap water did get hot enough. There were plenty of mirrors in the room including a full length one, but no ironing facilities at all. There was a hairdryer, and there was shower gel and handwashing gel in the bathroom, but nothing like hand cream or even just shampoo. There were tea and coffee making facilities but no bottled water. I get that this is not classed as Luxury accommodation and Premier Inn really just serves a purpose for short stays but these small additions would have been welcome.
We had breakfast in the affiliated Brewer's Fair next door, where there was plenty of choice (you helped yourself) and we had the full English. It was all hot which was a nice surprise as it had all been sitting in the dishes, but the Black Pudding didn't look 'right' and it definitely didn't taste 'right'. I think it may have been preciously frozen, I'm not sure. The bacon was a little greasy and dripped when I held it up. Apart from those issues the breakfast was ok, and as the Brewer's Fayre was tied to this Premier Inn I've included it in this review.
- 591liaf (10/5): Excellent service - Early check in was available which suited my family perfectly as we were attending a wedding nearby. Front of house staff very helpful with my family but also the customers in front of me which shows this is the service they provide at all times!
- Catvarini (10/5): Friendly place to stay! - We stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised by both the hotel and the adjoining restaurant! We chose the location as it was handy for us but would definitely go back again. The staff were probably the friendliest I have come across in a hotel for a while and were all helpful and chatty. The restaurant next door was also great and we had a pleasant evening meal and breakfast with a good choice for both the kids and adults. Oh and the hotel beds are extra comfy 😂
- sensi702 (10/5): Simply simple and comfortable - The rooms are always clean and inviting the staff friendly and attentive the food wholesome and yummy and grest pricing really good deal
- Trek760314 (10/5): Highly recommend - Very friendly and helpful reception staff, it was like visiting friends. Clean and comfortable room with everything we needed and a bit more. Great nights sleep too!
