Guest Reviews
- stevenu714 (10/5): Great staff at this Hotel - We stay at the Premier Inn every year when we come over from our place in Spain. Always greeted by the fabulously attentive staff on reception.
This year, Zoe was on duty most of our stay and her hospitality was superb!
Great breakfast too!
Always a pleasure staying here!
- Daab1952 (10/5): A very satisfying stay. - Stayed here with my wife for one night. We booked the dinner and breakfast deal for £29.99 each. This is great value for money.
Checkin was so easy. Frendly and polite staff. The room was good. It was clean and had everything you'd expect. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom had a good shower and was clean.
The dinner choices were good, and the food quality was great. Served by friendly attentive staff.
The breakfast was of good quality. I had the full English. There were cerials on offer, tea/coffee, and fruit juice. You can have the Continental for slightly less.
Overall, this Premier Inn scored maximum points for me. I don't usually give top scores on my reviews, but I felt this one deserved it. Some people will undoubtedly complain about the parking but hey, you're in Birmingham City Centre, so dont expect the car park to be next door to the hotel !
I can definitely recommend staying here, and don't forget the dinner and breakfast offer !
- D8902ZArachelf (10/5): Excellent value for money. - Very pleasant hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed as a family and the hotel had left a small Christmas gift wrapped for my son, which was a nice touch.
The restaurant was much better than many Premier Inns, a good quality steak restaurant and nicely decorated.
Convenient location for walking into Birmingham city centre and only about 10 minutes walk from New Street Station.
- megk461 (6/5): Not great. But lovely breakfast and staff! - Location- I wouldn't have wanted to walk to there on my own.
Rooms- I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room (dirty skirting boards, rusty hand wash bottles in the bathroom).
It was quiet and the bed was comfortable!
- GrinG870 (10/5): Perfect location - Great hotel. Really easy to get to off the A38(M) & Aston expressway. Parked in the NCP Londonderry and a 4 minute walk from there, if that. Nice drop of prosecco on arrival. Bonus.
Room excellent, comfortable, with all new fixtures & fittings. Shower excellent.
Very short walk to some great bars & the Xmas markets.
One tip, I hope the bar adjoined was just having an off day. Awfully understaffed and poor.
- tinkwjh (10/5): Friendly hotel - After a 6 hour drive A lovely warm welcome. From the two ladies on the desk. The room was clean warm and comfortable. We will be back
- T6624IEsharons (8/5): Bridgwater North - This premier is a good location for what we need. I understand there are works going on but it would have been better if breakfast was put outside our door as we don’t always get up early on our leisure days
- JamieClyde (10/5): Great stay - I had a very comfortable stay and great location. Great service from the Premier Inn reception team of Latin, Terri and Sarah.
- W2595GQcarlaw (10/5): Fab hotel will stay again - Great location, we are here for the German Christmas market and it’s just round the corner, very calm, well ran friendly staff. Room is great for what we needed, somewhere to drop our Xmas shopping and a comfy bed for the night. Great value for money given its location. You are right in the centre and just outside is a Wetherspoons and a Sainsbury’s. Very clean! Staff do a top job! Big shout to Milly Mae on reception greeted with a smile and a warming welcome, always makes you feel so much better when u get to a hotel after a long trip and the staff greet you with kindness! She stored our luggage securely as we arrived very early, and we were able to check in a little earlier as I needed to change my shoes. She went above and beyond and made us feel looked after. Husband requested a room with a bath and we got that too! Felt very spoilt for what we paid! I had read the last couple of reviews and was abit apprehensive however we had a complete opposite experience will defo stay again if coming to the area
- hardwayi (10/5): outstanding service !!! - amazing experience would recommend to anybody staying in Birmingham ! team worked so hard to make everyone happy !!! reception team a credit and room spotless
- jamesdW6633HH (10/5): Great Stay, 5* - I recently stayed at this hotel at short notice.
The hotel room was clean, the shower was excellent and the bed was comfy.
The lady on the reception named Charlotte was very helpful with assisting in local directions.
5*
- O8472MZmargarets (10/5): Most pleasant experience - Greeted by an extremely efficient, helpful and delightful receptionist Vicky.
Vicky pleasant and helpful solving any problems we had
- joelpB2182ST (10/5): Great staff - Paul was fantastic on reception. Extremely helpful. Rooms are good sized and very clean! Decent shower pressure and USB chargers in the room.
- Resort07690742746 (10/5): Good - Friendly desk staff - Paul - very welcoming and overall good experience overnight. Would recommend to anybody travelling
- JoshC-Ipswich (4/5): Good location, but that’s it - Good location… but that’s where the good ends. Abrupt staff, hot rooms, terrible WiFi, and breakfast being packed away well before breakfast finished.
- raew307 (8/5): Very welcoming staff - The staff were all brilliant but Charlotte in particular stood out for her effort and attention to detail.
The room was perfectly comfortable, location fine, lack of restaurant understandable.
- A3388JRstephaniec (10/5): Perfect 1 night stay for the carnival - Perfect place to stay for Bridgwater Carnival. Checked in by the lovely, welcoming Charlotte who offered us biscuits on arrival. Really friendly warm welcome.
- 910vickir (8/5): Good location for Bridgwater - I chose this location as it is in good walking distance of Bridgwater and as it has a on site restaurant. I booked many months in advance as we were visiting for the Bridgwater Illuminated Carnival and staying Friday to Monday. A few weeks prior to visiting I reviewed the hotel for up to date opinions and found that there was building works and car parking was compromised and the restaurant wasn't open as it was being refurbished. I emailed the hotel for more detail on this and found that the restaurant was not open, but parking was fully available. Following this email I then started to get daily emails informing me that the restaurant was closed and not likely to be open during our visit. I lost count the number of emails I received! I then received another email a few days before going stating I could add breakfast to my booking. We rang to see if this was an option only to be told that the restaurant was still closed. On arrival we were greeted very professionally and cheerily by two receptionists and booked in with Charlotte who was very helpful and offered information on the area including the carnival route and informed us of the complimentary coffee and pastries due to the restaurant closure. We were informed of the location of the room and proceeded to settle in. The room was typical PI decor and was clean and comfortable. A tea tray was provided and reception had further supplies if we needed to replenish. Room cleaning was offered due to our extended stay if required, but we didn't think this necessary. The water to the shower and basin was always nice and hot and the shower was powerful, I also took advantage of a nice soak in the bath. :) The hotel was nice and warm, which we needed after watching the parade in quite cool temperatures! Apart from some idiot knocking on our door late Sunday evening, the hotel was quiet although there is a police HQ adjacent and some sirens were heard from around 7 in the morning up to midnight. Parking was plentiful and our car reg taken to prevent any charges being administered. We would stay again if we visit the carnival again and hopefully the restaurant will be open! I would not book quite so early as I feel I ended up paying more than if I'd booked just a few days before.
- alhardy99 (10/5): A great Premier Inn - This Premier Inn is by far the best I've stayed in.
The beds are seriously comfortable
The service in all departments was superb
The breakfast was exceptionally good.
Thanks everyone keep it up.
- 332yuens (6/5): Wasn't enjoyable stay as we expected - We had always stay at this Premier Inn location city centre exchange square. Always been please with everything except this time. So at the start they had given us an QR code for checking in via the kiosk you would've think it's straight forward. How wrong can it be. We enter all the details at the kiosk terminal, and at the very end it didn't work. So we had to go through the same thing via the desk check in. Then as we stay the first night we didn't as for room cleaning the next day so it was fine, until we as for the room to be cleaned after 2nd night. When we cane back from our outings we noticed the floor hasn't been hover and the toilet roll hasn't been replenish. We had to go to the reception to ask for some toilet roll. After the 3rd night we asked for the room to be clean again cos the next day was my birthday, I like to have a fresh clean room. We went out for breakfast just before 09:30am and didn't returned until gone 16:30pm and our room still hasn't been clean. That was most disappointing, as we left that morning the housekeeping cart are already on our floor. And as we are staying in the Premier plus room we don't expect to be clean last on their list. Taking consideration we've been out for 7 hours already. We wanted to relaxed before our dinner. But leave us no choice to just go our leave our room to be clean. On the last day we had no handsoap left to use as they haven't replenish the soap in the bottle. We had to use our own shower gel to clean our hands. We never had problems before. But this time the housekeeping really have let us down in big time.
- 349saravanank (10/5): Wonderful stay - We enjoyed the stay. It was warm, comfortable and safe. The staffs were nice and helpful. I will recommend this for everyone.
- dymphnaf2021 (10/5): Welcoming, Clean, Comfortable, Fantastic value for money - The staff were friendly and welcoming. Kelly was very professional and caring.
The room was immaculate, although extra glasses would be appreciated instead of just 2 glass mugs. There were no herbal/caffeine free fruit tea bags but Kelly was able to remedy this for me. Bathroom facilities were great and the powerful shower was lovely and hot.
We opted for the meal deal. The evening meal was really good, although the expedition of service was a little too slow.
Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Lots of options on offer and the cooked breakfast was delicious, hot and plentiful.
Would definitely recommend.
- Mike888125 (8/5): Professional, polite staff 24 / 7 in older style hotel - i stayed at here for business trip during the extension of the existing premier inn.
Staff at reception werr professional and polite. Charlotte was on dutie the day i checked in, and provided useful information on car registration, and facilities around the hotel with Brewers faye closed ( as hotel extenstion being undertaken ).
the room are ok, typical pi, however its probably older style as there no air conditioning and windows open.
Staff are a credit to premier inn.
- LawsonS_11 (6/5): Short stay in Bridgewater - Bedroom area was clean and tidy but the bathroom requires some repairs with paint coming off the bath panel and the bath/shower tap not operating correctly.
- RossiD121 (10/5): Fantastic Stay, Excellent Hotel throughout. Very Pleased. - Recent stay following a trip to Cadbury World. Parking was easy, nearby multi story some 5 mins walk away. This was free as Birmingham City Council offer free parking for blue badge holders. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was seamless. Room extremely spacious and very clean.
Breakfast was a highlight. Excellent food selection both hot & cold , hot buffet was was piping hot and fully stocked. Overall a very pleasing stay, great location, clean hotel with helpful & friendly staff throughout.
- jnp780 (8/5): A Night out in Brum - Premier Inn with very welcoming staff
Very clean and tidy eating area witch was well set out
Rooms with very quiet air conditioning units
- 407georginaw (10/5): Super stay - Stayed 1 night for The Orchard conference at the ICC. We arrived a bit flustered as we’d originally gone to the wrong PI but the ladies in reception were calming and welcoming, quickly taking our bags so we could get to the conference on time. I arrived back late afternoon and was again given a lovely welcome. We had quite a complex booking with 17 people, some sharing rooms and others not. I asked for a quiet room and was duly allocated a lovely room on 10th floor at the end of a corridor-it was silent. I had the usual PI experience of a clean, comfortable room with an excellent bed and hot, powerful shower.
Breakfast the next day was good with staff working hard to keep things running smoothly on a busy Sunday morning.
We all left at different times, again this was dealt with well and our bags were again kindly stored.
Had a fabulous weekend, would definitely return though I’d eat elsewhere in the evening. Also be aware that the location of this PI is slightly out of the main “hub” of the city centre and there’s not lots going on close by, although there are tonnes of bus stops outside.
- Q727LCkevinr (10/5): Pleasent and professional staff - Visiting a friend staying at Premier Inn Bridgwater North and Charlette was very helpful with my concerns and able to answer my questions. Further upon my arrival Charlette was dealing with an agitated and rude person, she remained professional and polite eventually solving the individuals problem leaving happy with the outcome
- 106michellec (10/5): Wonderful - Just wanted to leave a quick review to say how wonderful our stay recently was on the 17-18th of October all the staff on those days were so attentive and welcoming made our stay so lovely so thank you all
- tinabS5370ID (10/5): Such a lovely bunch of people - I stay at the premier inn Bradford road generally once per month for work.
I think the staff are absolutley fantastic, especially Vicky, she can not do enouhh for you. So happy, friendly and goes that extra mile.
The food is always nice in the brewers too and so cheap.
Always get looked after well.
- P3530OCleeh (10/5): Weekend break - Great place to stay minutes away from the city centre and within walking distance of the O2 institute. Helpful friendly staff especially Latia, Sally and Naz. Thank you
- nowinitaly (10/5): Positive experience with friendly staff, great room and very clean - Warm welcome at this bright and fairly new Premier Inn. Very clean. Comfy bed. Near to public transport. Great food at the bar/restaurant. Aaron was a great bartender our first night as was the girl who served us the next day (sorry I didn't get her name).
- Explore09740038055 (10/5): Work stop overs - I stay here a lot with Business and its one of my favourite Premier Inns. There is a great walking opportunity to the Five rise locks along the canal, about 1 hour trip. Big shout out to Vicky on reception who is always warm welcoming and remembers me! Rooms all good and restaurant great also along with all the attentive staff. Would highly recommend.
- F3025MXgraceo (10/5): Such good value for location - We adored this hotel, me and a friend went to go shopping and for a night out, location was amazing, so close to the bullring, the staff made it so welcoming, rooms were clean, spacious enough for two people, I’d say it was on the cheaper side especially due to where it is in the city centre, service was amazing, we took our bags in the morning, it was no fuss and it was a swift check in, I’d recommend parking at the university carpark it’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, but it was completely safe, CCTV and lit up, I had no fear leaving my car there and this is the one the hotel recommends, we will be staying again!
- booiel (8/5): Convenient - Shame the heating thermostat is rigged to only achieve 21⁰. Pleasant enough for the room, but leaves the bathroom chilly.
Bed comfy enough and room more than adequate for a single person or couple.
Staff pleasant and helpful. Also, a pity the restaurant is out out use because the breakfast part was important, and it would be handy to have an evening meal rather than nasty takeaways.
- F1228TWelainem (8/5): Pleasant stay but bar closed too early - The hotel was further from Bingley than we thought so had to get a taxi to and from Bingley. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and rang us a taxi. We returned to the hotel at 10:10 pm planning to have a few drinks before bed but the bar had closed at 10:00 although there were still plenty of people in the bar but we could not get a drink. /the bed and pillows were very comfy as always and the breakfast was very good.
- H9583SApaulj (10/5): Excellent staff - The receptionist Vicki was very pleasant and friendly she was very professional and helpful. She changed our room without any problems. The hotel is handy for walking around Haworth and surrounding areas. We didn’t eat in restaurant but had a few drinks.all staff friendly.
- chloet127 (10/5): As expected - Standard premier inn with everything you expect. Short walk from the train station. Super friendly and helpful staff.
- coliew2025 (10/5): Great hen do location! - We had a lovely stay in Birmingham city centre premier inn. We went as a large group on a hen do. We had a lovely time. The hotel was lovely and clean. The full English was bob on and well needed! The front desk staff were extremely helpful and lovely. Would 100% recommend.
- Y694TWamandas (2/5): Awful - Awful bathroom was not cleaned no toilet roll and only 1 member of staff pay the extra and stay at the ibis just down the road
- nathaneS34HG (10/5): Amanda and Vicky! Welcome to Bradford North - Amanda and Vicky at reception were both the most welcoming and helpful members of staff. Both professional and knowledgeable about their professions. It has made the reason why staying at Premier Inn is the best chose. Thank You
- LeeDeSouza (2/5): Construction going on which they hid at the time of the booking. - Awful. When I booked the hotel, they said the restaurant was closed. I then got an email a week later that construction work was going on between 8am - 6pm. Had i have known, I would not have booked it and they wouldnt let me cancel. The walls were wafer thin so you could everythign from other rooms and I couldnt sleep. I reported this at 8am when i got out of bed, but as this falls outside of their good nights sleep policy, they refused a refund.
- wozza2475 (10/5): Amazing - May I just start this review by saying I've traveled the world and been in 5* hotels, paid for quality but you can't beat honest people who will go out of there way to make you feel comfortable and secure. Been a solo traveler i would recommend this place above and beyond, it might be a premier inn but what its about is the smalls bits. Smiles, greetings and feeling secure. May I just mention Ruby and sarah who absolutely made me feel welcome been a solo traveller. I would highly recommend here and I would hope you would meet sarah and Ruby.
- NickyH496 (10/5): End of August stay - Good location for visiting local attractions, especially Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Free parking for guests. Room clean, comfortable and ready when we arrived. Near a main road but not noisy. Stayed 2 nights. All as expected from Premier Inn.
- Q7128WWcraigm (10/5): Great stay every time! - Always stay here when I come to Bingley, rooms are cosy, food is great and staff are always helpful. Vicky on reception is lovely and very friendly every time.
- jessicarM9921TR (10/5): Flawless stay - Always a pleasure to come here. We come back every time we travel to bingley! Honestly cannot fault the place! Vicky is the best staff member and I’m lucky to have been served by her on reception every time
- S9804VEjond (10/5): Best night sleep - Stayed here for the first time ,found it really pleasant and welcoming also will be booking here again for sure was the best sleep I've had in ages also all the staff at front of reception were fantastic in helping with my requests
- derekbW4037CA (10/5): Our on route stay over. - Arrived on time. Greeted by a very pleasant and informative young lady. Everything explained in detail. Nice comfy room . when we left we were given their good wishes and wished a safe journey. A genuine and kind gesture. Thank you
- Aroadwelltravelled1 (2/5): Poor experience - best avoided - This place does not create a warm experience. There are many better hotels nearby for similar cost. Uninspiring and rude staff. No wonder it’s so quiet - best avoided if you want a quiet and comfortable stay.
- 686mellissac (10/5): Great place - Lovely staff, clean comfy room and free parking. Restaurant was closed due to being refurbished but was made aware before booking. A limited complimentary breakfast and coffee got us ready for the day ahead and when the pastries ran out staff got us more straight away. Over heard people complaining about the limited breakfast but it does state on the website and it is COMPLEMENTARY so they don’t even need to provide it. Felt very bad for the lady on the desk as she was really sweet and greeted everyone that came through with a smile!
- X20BSdalem (10/5): Superb Holiday - We recently had a fantastic stay at the Premier Inn, Cross Flatts, Bingley, West Yorkshire. We found all the staff to be friendly, kind and helpful. Unfortunately the room we had reserved had been double booked when we arrived. The receptionist Kay swiftly moved us to a quieter room, where my wife could return to in the day time for a rest/sleep if required, as she suffers from chronic fatigue. In addition to this the staff put my wife's Ice packs, for her back, in the freezer, printed out directions to places of interest etc. Many thanks for enabling us to have a brilliant holiday. Best wishes, Dale & Liz Marshall.
- Nomad9812344 (8/5): VFM with easy access to Bradford and surrounding areas - Good value for money, quiet location with good access to main roads. Rooms were very clean and staff very polite and helpful. Decor in common areas a little tired, but all in all a very pleasant stay for a few nights.
- tonyqunta (10/5): Perfect Premier Inn! - A very good room. Very comfortable. Easy free parking. Easy access to the highway. Excellent friendly efficient staff, especially Charlotte on reception.
- TrudieHCyprus (4/5): Poor standard for a Premier Inn - Room not very clean. Restaurant closed so said would provide pastries but none available. No toilet tissue at all in the room. Only one bath towel but 2 people
- walker947 (10/5): Comfortable stay at Premier Inn - Stayed at Premier Inn Bradford North Bingley for 10 nights. Comfortable stay, although room had no air con a fan was provided. We were also given a sheet to replace the duvet if needed. Hotel was busy at the weekend, but corridors were quiet! Bed was comfortable and slept well. Would prefer a shower cubicle rather than shower over bath as bath was a bit high, wouldn't be suitable for all. Fan in bathroom was noisy! Staff at reception were amazing, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and gave ideas of places to visit. Brewers fayre restaurant at hotel was an added bonus for breakfast. Food was cooked to order on quieter days.
- 552gayles (2/5): Worst Premier Inn we have ever stayed in!!! - We had an awful stay at this Premier Inn. It was filthy dirty. I had tea stains on my bed covers, the carpets were filthy, dirt on the bathroom floor, cobwebs on the bedside lamps and a hoover and rubbish bag left outside our door. Not the standards we expect from Premier Inn and we have been staying in their hotels for years.
I definitely wouldn't recommend a stay here!
- 314frant (10/5): A truly wonderful stay - We have had a wonderful three night stay here in Bingley at the Premier Inn. This is the best Premier Inn we have stayed in and would be very happy to return if we come back to this area. Vicky on reception, in particular, has been extremely friendly, helpful and is overall a delightful person. It has been lovely having a chat to her each time we return to the hotel. James has been an excellent server for breakfast. Our whole stay has felt like a real holiday where we have felt welcomed and where we have appreciated our interaction with the staff. Of particular note is the care and attention that has been paid to guests during the heat wave that existed while we were here, with plenty of iced water available, fans in each room and sheets provided as opposed to duvets if wanted. The attention to detail has been exemplary and the four of us staying here highly recommend this hotel.
- Paddy151005 (2/5): Last time - With no available parking spaces on site and staff who would or could not advise on where else to park, I decided that I couldn't stay at the hotel. The area is surrounded by private parking areas and threats of fines for non-compliance, but Premier Inn are not interested in helping their guests resolve this. It's also a down market hotel, needing refurbishment and it certainly doesn't not look like it does in the pictures. If price is your main consideration, you may want to take the risk.
I was not eligible for a refund, but no compromise was offered by 'customer relations' who were keen to quote statements on their site like 'limited' parking rather than try to resolve my grievance.
- pbw1962 (8/5): A Good Base For Exploring the Area - We were on a 14-day road trip and in most areas we used a Premier Inn. This one in Bingley was an ideal base from which to explore Malham Cove, Brimham Rocks, Bradford city centre's makeover, the city hall, Tower of Now and other sculptures, Haworth, My Lahore restaurant, Saltaire village, the Hockney 1853 Gallery, the Largest Early Musical Intruments Shop in the World...etc.
Our room was a bit warm so a fan was provided, when I asked about a banana at breakfast there were none left but the waiter brought me one later when the van arrived! My overall memories of this hotel are of great staff...Lee, Vicky, Amanda, Kay and others whose names I didn't get. Thanks guys.
- lindawM9320GK (10/5): Clean, great staff, needs air con - Used this hotel as a base for a wedding recently, staff really fab especially Linda on reception, rooms nice and clean a little dated but comfy, air-conditioning would be a very nice addition all in all a fab stay
