Guest Reviews
- O7850ISgrahamg (4/5): disappointed - been coming here for a few years, now charge 3 pounds per night for stay i will not be staying here again stay somewhere else money grab
- Paradise17347466190 (10/5): Excellent server - I was served by a polite young man, he was very patient taking my order due to my stutter. I will definitely be visiting again soon.
- justinee490 (10/5): A Thoroughly Enjoyable Stay - We have had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
The staff have been consistently friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was in good condition, very clean and warm with minimal noise.
The restaurant offered a contemporary and tranquil environment with excellent quality food and drink. An excellent experience overall with not a single negative.
- HandyAndy63 (10/5): Great hotel and fantastic staff - Stayed here for the weekend for the first time. Got welcomed by Rob at check in, he was lovely and a real credit to the team. Had breakfast + dinner every night, served by Punam at breakfast and Michelle at dinner. The food quality especially for dinner was great. All the staff we met were great and really made our stay. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our bedside lamps didnt work but reported it to reception and they changed the bulbs straight away. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff at all. I love that you can help yourself to irons and ironing boards in reception and also lots of tea and coffee too as i there is never enough in the rooms for our liking. They really made our stay great. We will 100% be back again.
- katenW2559HC (8/5): Comfortable but claustrophobic - The hotel provided a comfortable night's sleep. Room had no natural air as windows were sealed, so would have preferred to be able to have some 'fresh' air.
Air conditioning made the temperature more comfortable.
- roberttM7643ZM (10/5): Excellent offering at the price point - We have stayed at Poole North a few times and think it is the best option in the price range. The rooms are always good * - large comfortable beds, good sized reasonably new TV, air conditioning, quiet at night, coffee and kettle; fast, reliable, free wifi.
The bar and restaurant facilities are also generally good. OK, it’s not a Michelin star restaurant but the food is good, the staff pleasant and helpful and the prices quite reasonable. There is plenty unlimited breakfast is particularly good if you’re hungry.
There is plenty of free parking at the front of the building so that is not usually* a problem.
* we had one (last minute) stay where the only rooms available were on the ground floor and for accessible use (lowered bath, emergency cords etc). Unfortunately these rooms are quite poor compared to the usual rooms; smaller, not as well maintained and lacking some of the frills. This seems a bit unfair if you really are disabled and maybe the company should look at this. The car park was also completely full that night so we ended up in the one remaining disabled parking bay as well. Seemed justified in the circumstances.
- J5639NLjosht (10/5): Would Recommend - For how much I paid, I got a well kept room and lovely service, food was cooked to a good standard too
Parking can be a little limited but no real issues with it
- Textileartist (10/5): A great second stay - This was my second stay and again the room was spacious, clean. The beds are sensationally comfortable and the room very quiet. The air conditioning worked very well too as I normally like to sleep in a room with an open window. Most of all the staff are friendly and helpful without exception, which was great!
- Mrluckyrob (10/5): Well run friendly hotel. - We had a very nice weekend staying in the hotel. What really stood out for us was that the staff were helpful, professional and very friendly.
Breakfast was good with a good range of foods to choose from. We eat in the hotel one evening and were satisfied with what we had. Overall the hotel is well run and good value.
Good points. Comfortable bed's. Spacious rooms. Ample free parking. Great staff.
- L2247SUandrewc (8/5): good hotel will stay again - We have stayed in many premier inns the past 20 years and this was the first time we have stayed at Poole North. We have stayed in the past at the nearby Holes Bay so we decided to try this one.
I tried to book in on the screen in reception (one was not working) and it did not recognize my name or booking reference number when the bar tender said that he could book myself in.
The receptionist was very pleasant checking in and stressed that if we wanted to eat in the restaurant to book. Looking at the prices myself and my wife declined as we thought it was very expensive (£15.00) for just a plain burger.
The room (room 7) was very clean and tidy, but we noticed there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling. We then discovered during the night the air conditioning could not be reset for some reason, this led to a very hot uncomfortable night for myself and my family. We managed to get the control box to work to enable the temperature to be turned down in the morning and we had a more comfortable second night.
As we was staying for only two night we never complained also when we went past reception which doubles also as a bar area the person on was busy serving drinks. Despite the minor faults we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it is a lot better and more modern than the nearby Premier Inn holes bay. We will stay at this hotel again.

- SMCoombs69 (8/5): Nice stay for one night - I'd booked one night at the premier Inn whilst visiting my parents on Hayling island.
I arrived after a fairly stressful drive but was greeted with a smile which was nice.
Check in was nice and quick. Had to pay £3 to park for one night which I didn't think was too bad.
I'd paid for the meal deal - evening 2 course meal with a drink and unlimited breakfast.
The evening meal was nice but I have had nicer at the Brentwood premier Inn.
I had a room on the first floor which was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep.
I went down to breakfast at around 9am by which time the "continental" elements were fairly short in supply. I had granola with fruit and yogurt and a couple of croissants. I didn't have any of the cooked breakfast items so can't comment on that.
I would say that the price for a continental breakfast is quite steep for the variety on offer but I had been happy to pay for the meal deal for pure convenience.
The staff I encountered were all very friendly and helpful and as a solo female I felt very safe.
- Sellyoak1 (10/5): Great stay - 1st time staying at a premier inn. Everything from check-in to leaving was superb. The check-in was so easy. The room was huge with a lovely bath and yes the bed was so comfy. Very clean. Breakfast was lovely and we had 2 evening meals. All staff were so friendly especially one lady (Didn't get her name) she was seating you at breakfast (she had curly black hair in a ponytail), so jolly and spoke to everyone and was great with any children. This lady is an asset to your business. We will definitely use premier inn for our next travels.
- colinantony (2/5): Noisy and very rude and unfriendly staff - Firstly I stay in the premier inns at least five times a year, but this one was absolute chaos.Room 142 . Arrived very late due to a traffic accident on the M6. Pressed the buzzer for access only to be met by an abrupt receptionist, finally got to our rooms and the door entry key card didn't work back to reception to be met with the same rude women who blamed the system for not working, the next morning the bathroom shower and bath drain pipe under the bath panel leaked flooding the bathroom floor I had to hastily get dressed and run to reception, they send a plumber up he had to remove the panel in order to fix the problem, he then got towels of the house keeping lady and we both mopped up the water by the time it was fixed and I was able to re shower, I had missed the breakfast time slot.No apology or explanation then the rest of the stay was equally bad. Noisy hen party revellers on the floor above stamping there feet by having a room disco,at 2 AM.I paid £10.99p for a breakfast that was chaotic to many guests and not enough staff to come with the people wanting the full English Breakfast, hardly any items on the hot bed counter. Foodstuffs coming out at different times with a five minute wait for the items listed on the menu, I gave up and settled for just Beans on toast and a latte. The staff were very stressed and clearly didn't know how to cope with the chef shouting in the kitchen clearly not able to meet the demand of getting the food out to the customers! This is a big premier inn in future I would pick a smaller one because this one is clearly no good at coping with a fully booked hotel. And the reception staff should be re-trained in customer service!!
- abdulmN9837MU (8/5): Pleasant stay - Ample parking, easy to check in and out.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Only issue was the bathroom was very smoky in smell and off putting
- Chris20022015 (2/5): Charging for Parking/Hot Breakfast not avaliable - I have stayed here before and had no issues but upon arrival I was informed that I needed to pay a parking fee to stay at the hotel, which I think is disgusting considering I had already paid to stay and nothing was mentioned upon booking. Also there is nowhere else to park for free as the hotel is next door to a busy motorway junction. I fully understand registering your vehicle if you are visiting as this is to deter other people from using your parking but what I don't understand is why you charge for something that there is no need for. Secondly on the morning of departure, hot breakfast was not avaliable due to a problem with the kitchen ovens. Obviously Liquid refreshments were available alongside a very small choice of cereal but considering I paid for a Full English Breakfast and this was not avaliable, I was not offered any compensation for the charge of £10.99
- C7832WPbethm (10/5): Perfect stay in Portsmouth - Perfect stay, friendly staff, very helpful, restaurant just couple minutes away, will be back next year.perfect stay
- 340sueu (8/5): Long term stay - Positives:
Staff are welcoming, flexible and resolve problems quickly
Beds are comfortable; bedding and towels changes are clean and on request
Self serve replenishment of tea/coffee/milk
Yoghurt now served in large containers to avoid unnecessary plastics
Breakfast was served hot and replenished regularly (£10.99); good vfm since unlimited
Self check in is convenient
Amazon lockers are useful for delivery pick up for longer stays
Even better if:
Head office need to ensure carpets are deep cleaned regularly; visibly dirty and corridors smell
Water flow is too fine in the sink taps so it’s difficult to wash down basin and fill sink quickly
The double rotation of the shower controls is annoying and cumbersome.
Soap dispensers in the showers just trickle down the side; a poor design
New parking charges increase stay costs
A range of complimentary tea bags are available
Hairdryers need updating; multi speed/temperature settings
- PaulaM4121 (10/5): Enjoyable - It's our first night/time here. The food was amazing. Good value, good portions. Lovely friendly atmosphere here, staff very helpful. Our waiter Kieran was so lovely. Room is a nice sze and clean, bed nice and comfy.
- joedN4156QW (10/5): Very good - Warm and helpful staff nothing was too much of a promlem ,it was dealt with immediately.
I would call out to the staff in the restaurant and reception at the time of visit 22/10/25
- Benthomas123 (10/5): Room for one night. Had breakfast which was lovely, amazing staff helped me all the way from check in to check out - Amazing staff really attentive and a very clean room. Breakfast was hot and a lot to choose from. I will definitely be staying again
- D9145OLchantalc (8/5): Reliably good night's sleep - Great night's sleep and friendly staff. Reliably good place to stay. Liked the adjustable heating in the room, the choice of lighting options and the bed is sooo comfy.
Include the parking though in your prices please.
- TraceyA757 (10/5): One of the best Premier inns I've stayed in - The location of this Premier isn't the best as it's on a small industrial area with nowhere really to go on foot, apart from the local Burger King or Lidl. However, on arrival I was brightly greeted by Rob at the Reception desk even though I had chosen to use the check in auto point as he was dealing with another person at the time. There was a slight issue with my room card as i hadn't validated it properly on the machine but Rob sorted that straight away and also asked if i was dining in that night which I wasn't. My room was spotlessly clean and in good order. I was soo pleased that i could open the window for some fresh air, I always feel the rooms feel so closed in and claustrophobic when you can't open a window. I had a great nights sleep as it was lovely and quiet apart from the odd bit of traffic that i could hear because of having the window open (with the window shut it was very quiet).
There is plenty of parking and you just have to remember to register your details on arrival for your car, there is a tablet right by the front door as you enter.
Breakfast was nicely cooked, not overdone, the lady who greeted me was bright and friendly and showed me to my table and assisted me when i needed it at the breakfast bar.
Overall i left with a lasting good impression of this Premier Inn and would definitely recommend.
- R228XSdaniels (10/5): Use the ful address... - The breakfast was great, and lots of it. Nice quiet stay with a good night's sleep. Friendly staff. Not that easy to find from the main road's as the postcode is not enough to get you right there.
Worried at first that parking would be hard to find but there were enough spaces if you don't try and park right up near the door.
- 9Cromwell9 (4/5): It serves its purpose but do not expect to be impressed. - Decent location for exploring nearby attractions. Rooms were clean but outdated. The floor creaked constantly (both in our room and the room above), terrible placement of outlets and no control over the heating/aircon. Key cards to enter the room kept failing meaning a trip back down to reception. No attempt to control the noise of other guests outside. I've had better experiences at a Travelodge who don't charge anywhere near this price.
Restaurant food was tasty, but some of the worst service I've ever had in the UK. I don't blame the waitresses, although one was quite rude (the other lovely), but putting only two waitresses in your decently sized restaurant is just never going to be sufficient. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to take away our mains (at which point we'd gone off dessert) and then a further 10 after we'd asked to pay! Wouldn't recommend eating here, unfortunately.
- H6696TBjanetw (10/5): Enjoyed Our Stay. - A lovely Premier inn. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Restaurant was good, especially breakfast.
The menu for evening meals, got a bit boring. Several items weren't available and most meals came with chips. No pasta dishes on the menu. So I think that needs improvement.
Apart from the menu, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily return.
- mihaelapG513EQ (10/5): Amazing experience - Beautiful hotel and really helpfull staff, nothing is top much. Room was nice and clean.Breakfast really good and perfect cooked
- julianhD5506LC (4/5): Can't cook, won't cook - Rooms are as expected.
Avoid the breakfast at all costs. Half of the hot items missing with up to half an hour wait. Situated in middle of industrial estate.
- Z3224VFnatashad (6/5): Interesting experience - Rooms are equipped and clean, they are looking a bit tired in comparison to other premier inns we have stayed at. Under the bed had ripped fabric. I would not recommend having dinner at the restaurant we were told we couldn’t have an earlier booking than 7:45 which we were hoping would be earlier, when we got there service was good drinks arrived soon after, but the food wait was appalling we didn’t receive food until 9. The food its self was good once we had it, there’s a nice Toby carvery down the road I’d recommend using that instead for dinner. Breakfast was another story lovely service buffet fully stocked and a friendly greeting on arrival. This is our third stay at this premier inn and are hoping for improvement if we were to come again.
- chrisridley2014 (8/5): Well located, Great bed and usually reasonably priced - This Hotel is well located for seeing the area of Portsmouth and Chichester.
Good breakfast although they did have limited selection when we were later one morning. Always a comfy bed and the room is absolutely fine for a couple of nights break, although I would up grade to the Premier Plus if staying longer. We picked a week where it had a major event on so prices were astronomical at £230/nt (rather than £70-90 normally ) and this price structure puts it in the same bracket as slightly more up market Hotels in the area like Emsworth ! but I did find it really hard to accept having to pay for the car parking on top of the room rate, especially having a Blue Badge so parking anywhere else is not an option... this need to be changed by Corporate Whitbread.
- Z5194QKroberta (10/5): Weekend stay - Helpful staff, comfortable room. Unfortunately the carpark is no longer free but not expensive at £3 per night so wouldn't put me off.
- Joe-and-Julie-C (2/5): Shambles of a hotel - I keep giving this hotel chance after chance, because the location us handy and the rooms are nice but....................
Time after time after time the restaurant is an absolute shambles.
Checked in at 6pm and the restaurant was fairly quiet so went straight for a bite to eat. "Sorry no tables until 8:15"
Came back at 8:15 and it was much busier.
Was given a table and a menu with mist stuff crossed out......."sorry we don't have that, new menu tomorrow"
Absolute joke of a hotel
- anitagG6641VQ (10/5): Lovely weekend. - Excellent place to stay, lovely clean rooms, breakfast was amazing, hotel beautiful presented, rob check us in , very helpful man , nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this place.
- michaelbR6662UY (2/5): AC until full of mold causing unpleasant smell - The AC unit in the room has mold inside causing a very unpleasant smell in the room, controls were locked so unable to turn the unit off and the staff were no help when bringing this to their attention.
- AliH8691 (10/5): Convenient, comfortable, friendly hotel with good breakfast - We were impressed with this Premier Inn..
Booking and parking was easy, as was check-in. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was comfortable, spacious, and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only issue was that the extractor fan in the garden didn't appear to be working as after using the shower, the bathroom steamed up ridiculously and refused to clear for ages, making it very difficult to see in the mirror...might want to look at this.
The breakfasts were very good... especially impressed with the cooked items.
This premier inn is easy walking distance from Havant itself... Once you've worked out crossing the road and the footbridge to get into town!
Overall, it was a really good stay and would be very happy to return.
- 963tinyp (10/5): Amazing stay - great location, great staff, great food, tony was an amazing soul, could not do enough for me , thanks, will defo stay here again, one of the best hotels around!
- Climber07592361689 (10/5): All round V. Good - We found it overall to be very good, clean and welcoming. Efficient check in with a quiet environment and helpful staff.
- milesb553 (2/5): Everything smelt musty and damp… don’t stay here. - The hotel corridors smelt terrible, the bedroom smelt even worse. The short curtain smelt so bad that everything smelt like damp. I had to remove it and put it in the corridor. Everything was old, worn and outdated. Until they do a full refresh of the hotel, I wouldn’t advise staying there. They also need to do better with cleaning.
- D2231QWpeterr (2/5): Disappointed stay at Premier Inn - Typical Premier Inn, relatively clean. Real issue as the aircon wasn't controllable in the room, broken. Very noisy, very cold. Terrible nights sleep, got up to reception twice in the night, eventually had system turned off centrally by the reception
staff. Room then hot but at least quieter. Hairdryer broken, electrical fault, and curly hair on fresh towels. Regularly staff at Premier Inns and have never had reason to complain before. Hopefully just a one off.
- DancingSid (6/5): Hot and stuffy - England is in the middle of a heatwave. The windows in this hotel are sealed shut and the air conditioning cannot be set to cool overnight (only to heat). It was therefore hardly surprising we had a dreadful night. This from a hotel chain whose key advertising message is a great night's sleep.
The staff are friendly and helpful but there's only so much they can do with the frankly ridiculous way this hotel is set up.
Having read some dreadful reviews of the food here we chose to eat at the Farmhouse Inn across the car park, which was average but edible.
Would we recommend this hotel? Yes, but only in the winter.
- I1210XAdebbiec (10/5): Exceptional Service - The room was spotless and the breakfast delicious. We wanted to mention Caitlin and Toni who are on the housekeeping team but were helping out with breakfast. They were so friendly, kind and helpful and made our stay even more special. Thank you 😊
- W7061XQmichaeld (10/5): Great experience - This a really nice place with welcoming staff. Mohammed in particular was such a great host. He made sure we were comfortable and responded to our every need. Anytime you need a place to stay in Havant or Hayling Island, never look anywhere else.
- bmackenzie916 (6/5): Welcoming staff - Having stayed at this site many times before, I was shocked to arrive this time to discover this site is now charging for car parking, this was an unexpected extra cost.
However the staff are always great, the rooms spacious and the beds always super comfy, shame about the car parking charge.
- kathrynwZ2383NE (2/5): Overpriced with uncomfortable pillows! - Overpriced, room smelled like a smoker’s bedroom. The food was cheap and poor quality. The evening meal was microwaved and tasteless.
Book somewhere else!
The staff member on check in was welcoming and friendly. It was confusing as hotel was next door to another Premier Inn.
- DayVsupport (10/5): Fantastic service, good clean room, comfy bed. - Everything was great. The receptionist on Sunday evening (8th June) was fantastic and sorted a room suitable for my wife's mobility needs. She resolved a problem with the room keys instantly, was very friendly and even gave us a gift to improve our stay. The room was great as was the Beefeater next door. We will happily visit again.
- G3Queen (10/5): Great stay! - We stayed here recently for a quick over night stay.
We had a lovely check in by Claire and Manager Maxine who were very friendly.
Our room was clean and spacious with all the amenties we could wish for.
We had an amazing meal with family in the Beefeater Restaurant on site.
My steak was beautiful and we were served and catered for really well by our efficient waitress, Jo.
We had to rush off in the morning early, with no time for breakfast, but we had a really nice, albeit brief stay, thank you so much !
- Relax797834 (8/5): Hotel great, skip breakfast - The reception staff were very helpful, and the accommodation was very good. Clean and comfortable. The room has windows that open - I wish more had this facility.
I have given only four stars as the breakfast at the adjoining Beefeater was well below standard. Perhaps they were just short of staff? We arrived at around 9.00am, and waited for someone to seat us - you were asked to wait for this. We ordered the cooked breakfast by checking a tick box of choices. We were pleased that the breakfast was cooked to order - but not when it arrived. The fried egg was raw on the top, and having been told the plate was hot, I turned it over hoping that the hot plate would cook the top. No, the plate was actually cold. Had the egg been cooked as much as the rasher of bacon, it would have been rock hard. My husband ordered an egg with his breakfast but that was completely missing. Nobody came to the table for us to seek help, and we couldn't see any waiting staff to ask. When our plates were cleared, and my plate was still almost full, the waitress didn't ask why. When we told her about the problems, she apologised and offered to get my husband an egg. Bit late by then.
Back at the Premier Inn, the receptionist refunded the £10.99 pre-paid charge from our bill.
This does sound a bit whiney, but just to give a warning about breakfast.
Happy to stay there again because of the helpful staff and good room.
- C3899BYlindad (10/5): Very Happy - The staff were very polite, they were very helpful they could see i had a disability and immediately offered to change my room as I was originally booked in an upstairs room but there was no lift, they promptly changed the room to a more accessible one, they also let me know that they were there if I needed any help amazing staff.
- Connector26857241369 (10/5): Claire on reception was great 👍 - Living in premier inn’s all year round for work. This is our go too hotel in this area . Clean and tidy . Carpark is ok. Staff are friendly. Must give a big shout out to Claire who was an absolute superstar. A real credit to premier inn’s. Would definitely recommend this hotel
- 541LucyB (10/5): Faultless - Everything was amazing.
A completely faultless stay.
The best premier inn I have ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at A LOT !
The hotel was easy to find.
Car park was big and free to park (just enter reg on arrival at reception).
The lady on reception was friendly and helpful from the start.
People were more than accommodating with the request for more towels and room cleaning etc.
The day we didn’t get our room cleaned, the cleaner still gave me everything I needed, extra large rubbish bag, toilet roll, towels.
The room was clean.
The baby’s cot was already made up, with appropriate cot mattress sheet, actually designed for the mattress (not just a folded bed sheet like I have experienced previously).
We were even given nappy bags in the room, such a lovely extra touch.
Tea and coffee in the room, with extra available on the reception desk.
It was an amazing stay and I will definitely be back.
Really well priced as well.
Completely faultless.
Thanks so much.
- securityt (10/5): Not just another “budget” hotel - Stayed here for 3 nights, better than just a “budget” hotel.
Warm welcome, didn’t make me feel like a number. Easy check in and nice people.
Room was nice and quiet.
Ample parking.
Breakfast was the usual premier inn breakfast, very nice.
Thank you, hope to stay again.
- Coastal38204532531 (10/5): Solo traveller - Really lovely hotel, the room was clean, parking was good, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Felt safe as a solo traveller. Only gripe is lack of signage as there are 2 Premier Inn’s close together but still 5*. Did not use the Beefeater but reception offered to make reservations for anyone wanting to use it.
- Bognorgaz (10/5): Comfortable and well looked after - I stay in the purple palace in multiple cities across the UK, but I have to say that this one is the best I have experienced, there’s just something about it. Everything is perfect and at a price that is reasonable, it was my first time staying in Portsmouth and the team couldn’t be more helpful. I spoke to a lovely lady to ask for recommendations for a place to eat, I believe her name was Maxine, she gave me some good recommendations which I went with and had an excellent meal. Thanks again!!
- karenlF4173GJ (10/5): Nice hotel - Stayed here at the weekend whilst visiting some friends that live in the local area. The team on shift over the weekend were all friendly, our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short trip. Hotel is close to shops, main road links and not far from central Portsmouth. Would definitely stay again
- ameliahM8069YM (10/5): Great overnight stay! - Fabulous stay at this Premier Inn, all the staff we came across were really friendly, especially Becky who checked us in! The rooms were really clean, you can tell the team work hard to get all the small details! Comfy beds and perfect pillows, tea and coffee all supplied with more at reception and breakfast right next door! Would definitely stay again!

- C5165DEsr (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Wonderful stay, friendly staff at check in & check out. The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfy!
Becky at the front desk was also very informative of the local area and best travel routes into the city!
Will be staying again when I am next in the area
- dsR8913ZE (2/5): Watch where you tread... - Awful. Big rats in the car park, and the whole area has dozens of rat traps. Car park was full of trade vans: Seems to be a hotel for such.
Room's toilet seat was smeared with feces, and then found feces caked on the floor (I'd walked in in my socks): VERY poorly cleaned. Had to get reception to give me a new room. Heard nothing more from the manager or PI on this. Then the pipes gurgled all week.
Hotel was a bit tatty. Breakfast was at the Beefeater next door: Seat coverings were all falling to bits (as they were in beefeater Leeds/Bradford Airport).
Certainly not a premier experience.
- M1526HTlauras (8/5): Pretty darn good to be fair - We went to Portsmouth for a little family get away and to visit some of the local attractions. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and assisted when we had a couple of requests. (Extension lead for my CPAP machine and extra pillows) The only downsides were a hard mattress and noisy neighbours above late in to the night. The shower was brilliant and we were impressed with the USB ports. As always in most hotels the hairdryer was a little lame. The food at the beefeater next door for breakfast was ok, but not great, it was cold on day one and I feel it would be better if it was freshly served to you instead of the buffet setting. The evening food was amazing and so was the service but one of the bar staff on the first night was very rude to my husband. We asked a question regarding the set up in the morning for breakfast and she snapped at him and then when he tried to have a harmless joke with her about a cocktail she grimaced at him and basically blanked him with no response.
Portsmouth as a whole is lovely and we found lots to do in the surrounding areas that was not too expensive or too far away and really enjoyed ourselves. We would go again.
- O8424URdannyb (10/5): Libby The Great! - I just wanted to mention Libby that works on the reception at this hotel. I was struggling to find a business address and she kindly printed it all off which I didn’t ask her to do. She went out of her way to be very helpful and I thought she was just a very kind and nice lady and she needed mention .
