Guest Reviews
- ReinhardtDeb (10/5): Overall a very relaxing, comfortable stay. - Great location, very comfortable beds, rooms, had everything you'd need, very friendly & helpful staff, great breakfast
- traceypQ9820JU (10/5): Prefect Location - Perfect location in the City Centre and car park right next door.
The parking fee for 24hr was very reasonable.
The rooms were spotless and a good nights sleep was had just as always in a Premier Inn.
- R652NEscottb (2/5): So bad - Bad food. Please don’t say in this hotel. The staff is okay you’re only 10 minutes away from Belfast City. The rooms are lovely
- FrankPatient (10/5): Brilliant hotel , city centre + parking . - This a typical Premier Inn with the same standards you would expect . Breakfast was buffet style - great as always . Comfy bed , good shower and the room was clean . This is a central Premier Inn and is a five minute walk Ito the centre of Lincoln - ideal for a visit to Lincoln . The car park is £7.40 for 24 hours on weekdays and £5.40 for 24hours on the weekend and it is directly behind the hotel - really convenient .The car park is multi-storey - tons of space . I've found just lately the earlier you book these places the cheaper they are - last minute booking can be expensive . Well if you want to go to Lincoln for an overnight visit and stop really central - then this place is ideal .
- emrystravel (4/5): Not great. - We booked a weekend here because we wanted somewhere in Lincoln where we could walk to all the sights, and it certainly turned out convenient, and reasonably priced. The council car park behind the hotel is a bit scruffy but did work well for us.
I was disappointed to find an automated checkin rather than humans. It's hard working these systems when you have not seen them before. I had uninstalled the phone app which might have helped checkin because its privacy policy says they share your personal data with an unspecified list of other companies.
We had a "premier plus" room. That had the advantage of being on the top floor, away from the traffic.
The room windows do not open, meaning they are impossible to clean from the inside. That means they are dirty and dingy.
There were three problems with our room. There was supposed to be complimentary water, and there was none. We were given two large towels but only one small one. And the TV didn't respond to the remote. We raised these at the front desk on the second day and the water and towel was fixed by the evening. Another remote was left in the room, but whoever brought it didn't bother to remove the old one or check the new one worked, because the TV didn't respond to that one either.
The shower worked well but there is some sort of restrictor on the basin tap which means the water just trickles out.
There is supposed to be an all-day bar. We went for a drink at 16:45 and there was nobody to serve us. We waited a while unserved but eventually left to find a pub. We met some people in the lift who said they'd waited 15 minutes unserved.
- U8601IDnicolag (10/5): Peace perfect peace - Had a great time. I love the deep bath and the soothing purple bathroom light. I even got a WOW left in my room. Comfortable bed and a 12 pm checkout is a bonus.
- johnrO7771DY (10/5): Spur of the moment - Stayed at the premier inn and loved its location and staff . The staff advised us of our surroundings and attractions and things to do .
- alicebY6977NP (4/5): Don't stay if you can avoid it - One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The place seems to be purposely understaffed for some reason? 2 nights in a row people were waiting over an hour for food. One of the mornings there was no hot breakfast. I felt so sorry for the staff - there didn't seem to be any management there
- michaelcT8685GN (10/5): I needed some help with a work related issue. They were both very friendly and p They provided very helpful assistance. - Excellent service from Natalie and Elina on the front desk. Very helpfully they went above and beyond to assist with a business related admin challenge I was having.
- maureenk487 (2/5): Rubbish food service - 1. Dinner wait for food was dreadful although it was explained there would be a bit if a waiting time I explained that I needed to leave in 45 mins to go to a meeting told should not be a problem. Dessert never arrived on time and I had to leave it. fish and chips on the menu NOT AVAILABLE.
BREAKFADT WORST EVER IN ANY PREMIER INN. Booked in for a cooked breakfast after q hour never arrived so we told staff to cancel as we could wait no longer. This happened to another lady at table beside us. Also heard from someone who actually managed to get a cooked breakfast the egg was like rubber. Could not get a coffee out of the machine.
Told to speak to reception. Went there a maintenance man was there who took a note of our issue.
PREMIER INN WHY DID YOU BGO TO THE EXPENSE OF PUTTING UP THIS HOTEL WHEN YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS IN THIS WAY.
FOOD SERBICE HERE IS TOTAL RUBBISH
- K537IDalexy (10/5): Awesome staff - Very friendly and attentive staff.
Check in was fast and efficient.
Room was spotless.
Dinner and breakfast was great.
- 1trevorg (10/5): great stay - a great hotel in the city centre and a very comfortable bed and a great breakfast.
the staff were very helpful and friendly, highly recommend.
- helen_turner49 (10/5): Best premier inn . - Wonderfully perfect hotel with fabulous standards from start to end of trip .
Warm check in , spotless bedroom with Cathedral view , quality freshly cooked food . Friendly staff .
- carmendU7234JC (10/5): Comfy, clean and quiet ….. - The location of the hotel was perfect just a short distance from the town, a very reasonable priced car park to the rear too. The staff were lovely, very helpful and polite, the room was clean and tidy we were on the 4th floor so was quiet. We had the best evening meal ever in a hotel .. and a lovely breakfast too.. which was self serve and plentiful..
- RogerTurnerNottm (10/5): A very pleasant 2 night experience - The room was lovely and we were luckily treated to a scenic view of Lincoln Catherdral from the window. We always book a Premier Plus room and this was as good as they always are.
The breakfast was free (due to a special offer), and we were pleasantly surprised to find it was one of the best breakfasts we have experienced at a Premier Inn. The staff in the morning were lovely too - special shout out to Andrea and Bev, who couldn't do enough for us and all the other guests.
The location is quite close to the city centre and it is a short walk up the steep hill to the castle and the cathedral - both highly recommended to visit.
The only minor issue was that to get onto the free Ultimate Wifi (with a Plus Room) it was very challenging and unnecessarily complex. However, after quickly getting through to the wifi guy (you get a number to call), it was all sorted within minutes. But Premier Inns really need to address the complexity of connecting to the Ultimate Wifi.
A very pleasant 2 night experience - thank you all.
- H2107JGmaggiem (10/5): Great location and staff - We stayed two nights in the Hotel which is in a great location with very reasonably priced 24 hour parking next door. The staff were very personable and it was “service with a smile” The breakfast and evening meal were delicious and very good value for money. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Lincoln.
- bridieandj (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely clean and well decorated hotel comfortable bed and great shower easy free parking reasonable price Central location easy to locate friendly staff overall a great experience spacious rooms
- juliewP3100ON (8/5): Halloween stay - We had a little halloween night here. Room was lovely no complaints there breakfast however different story. Continental side fine cooked breakfast orders took and waiting half an hour before it arrived at table. Bacon was hard and overcooked as if it had been sitting about. Would stay again but think wouldn't book breakfast
- markbC3013BY (10/5): Very good Premier inn. - One night stay, great location, very friendly welcome, clean room, comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty and staff very friendly. It was very busy so there was a wait for a table but staff worked hard to keep the wait to a minimum. Reasonable parking in the public car park next door. We will definitely stay again.
- eileenmontgomery (10/5): Friendly, comfortable hotel - The staff here make you feel welcome, the hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was great the smothered chicken was to die for. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- hannahnR5451DC (4/5): Staff were lovely if you could find them, overall a poor experience. - More staff needed at this site. Wait times to check in were far too long, serving at bar took ages as it was not manned. I gave up twice.
Room cards were deactivated during our second day leaving us unable to get back into our rooms, after being out in the cold and rain. Again no staff to help and then had to join long queue to be seen and supported.
Couldn't have a drink at the bar while waiting as no one there. Couldn't use toilets while waiting as accessible only with room card.
People who hadn't pre booked breakfast were turned away as 'not enough food'
Conversations with others in the queue to check in, or in my case to reactivate my room key, were that others felt this was the worst premier in they have stayed at. I would probably have to agree.
Our 'family room' was basically one line of beds, no other space, no sitting area except on the beds, only 2 cups for 4 people.
Not a room for a family, 4 people crammed into a standard room.
One of the beds was clearly a cheap fold out, but it was so hard and uncomfortable we all just squashed into the double and sofa bed.
There is no parking provided, but a reasonably priced multistory one is just next door.
WiFi was terrible, slow and patchy. I refused to pay the additional for the premium so just used my own data.
- DJMM78 (2/5): Very, very poor. - Not enough staff.
Breakfast very poor. Bacon and eggs undercooked.
No available seating even though we pre-booked breakfast.
No hash browns
- sameN916GH (2/5): Experience was terrible rude staff and aggressive - Lin was very rude and aggressive towards customers terrible service would not come here again do not recommend this hotel what so ever here on a business trip overall the experience was bad
- I1205TPcharlottew (2/5): Poor beyond belief - Terrible service. Rude staff. Manager is terrible and not helpful. The girl with pink hair working was appalling, she wouldn’t help and didn’t clear any tables and refused to serve drinks to anyone
- georginahJ132HE (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable. - We took a weekend break in lisburn and stopped at the Premier Inn. All the staff were so friendly and helpful from start to finish. But a special mention for Olivia, who was so nice with a very helpful and naturally friendly approach to both of us and any customer we have seen her with.
- BigJohn1946 (10/5): Best Premier Inn Experience Yet - What an exceptional hotel. We had an accessible room and it was huge with the most comfortable king size bed ever. The bathroom was superb. Fitted with the latest accessories such as super strong chair for those post operative or simply mobility restricted guests. The wifi was excellent and finally the food was first class. Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our brief stay so enjoyable.
- 825sergiuu (10/5): Brilliant hotel - I am currently staying here for 3 months. This place is lovely. I would like to highlight Steve. He is brilliant and accommodating. With special shoutout to Olivia, Kerri and Susanne. It is very careful with clients needs. Love this hotel!!
- Wanderer49077047076 (10/5): Excellent - All the staff are very friendly and the rooms are very clean it nice to come back from a hard day's graft and and have a pint with friendly staff
- darrencN9813HY (10/5): As good as it gets when working away - All round excellent experience. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Good beer and food, great place to relax and unwind after work, especially with a pint of rockshore 🍻
- paulfJ8579FY (10/5): Best hotel ever - Stayed here a few times, absolutely brilliant staff Olivia, Jane, kerri and penny can not do enough. Thank you for your hospitality. Best hotel ever.
- 904jf (10/5): Olivia is fabulous - We stayed at the Lisburn Premier Inn in October. We had a fantastic experience. With a brilliant welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. The service in the restaurant and bar was amazing. Special shout out to Olivia, Elina and Kerri. Looking forward to returning in April.
- 134olliew (10/5): Birthday getaway - Went for partners birthday ! Made a request and upgrade us and left amazing goodies in the room! Was lovely gesture! Room very good standard and comfortable bed and quiet!
- mikeandros (10/5): Very Good Value - The main attraction of Premier is the consistancy of facilities and the quality of presentation. This City Centre inn meets expectations. Simple proceedures, friendly and helpful staff on hand.Clean rooms with not overgenerous freebies,Reasonable restaurant inhouse, car parking (expensive) next door though many others in the vacinity, and many restaurants, takeaways and shops locally.
- Dave2410 (6/5): Saturday night music problem - Good location. Easy parking close by. Hotel starting to look grubby. Check in machines not working properly. Limited staff, poor welcome. Very loud music in near vicinity of hotel on Saturday night until 3am so very little sleep.
- sparrowssong (10/5): Friendly, helpful staff and good experiences close to sights - Conveniently located close to the Cathedral and historical parts of the city. Lovely staff. Good food. Comfortable bed and very clean room. The only downside is that the parking is in a separate garage next door. Cost was £7 for 24 hours. There is no access from the hotel.
- bubblygemini (8/5): Room hot and stuffy - No-one on reception ever!!! Very hot and stuffy in rooms, I hate air con, drys my throat, no access to open slightly adjacent window
- Quest04184725249 (8/5): Weekend away with my son - I arrived 1 hr before my 3pm check in,, and was told if I wanted to go into my room I would have to pay £15 charge,,, I thought this was ridiculous as my room was obviously ready,, other than that room was great, small dining area was fine as it wasn't very busy but could be quite hectic in peak season, breakfast was good,, freshly cooked and plenty of choice,, again parking wasn't an issue for us as hotel wasn't full,, staff were friendly,, location was fine,, overall I would book another premier inn,,
- iansW9570QE (10/5): Nice location with good walks on the River Lagan - Have stayed here several times now and always receive a warm welcome from the staff who we've got to know quite well. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Lisburn with a decent sized carpark and is only about fifteen minutes walk away from the large Sprucefield retail park .The hotel has got air conditioning but has the added advantage of opening windows which is good as we like breathing in natural air when asleep. At the back of the hotel is the River Lagan which is tree lined and offers some good walks into Lisburn and beyond in peace and quiet compared to the very busy Hillsborough road outside the hotel.
- 2008U (10/5): Good value Weekend break - We were a large group who had pre booked 10 rooms. A bit chaotic at check-in as there was a computer glitch but the receptionist was very calm and apologetic. Nice comfortable rooms, some had a bath as well as a shower. Endless supply of tea/coffee at reception. Fresh milk available on request. Note rooms not cleaned daily and towels not changed unless requested The staff were all lovely and very helpful organising taxis, recommending pubs and eateries Great value if you book well in advance. Near a massive M&S, Costa coffee and bus stop which takes you into Belfast central station. We would return.
- Y6894DIstepheng (10/5): £10.99 Breakfast at Lisburn Premier Inn. - I didn't stay, I just called in for Breakfast. The Breakfast was great, full range of different breads, cereals, fruit drinks, different kinds of teas, then as much fried breakfast as you want. The staff on duty were really friendly too, listening to the stories of the guys who where over on business by themselves, how they had just made the ferry and so on.
The atmosphere was calm and friendly just like you would want in when your just waking up. I give it 5 stars or green circles, whatever.
- stevecS51CI (6/5): Nice clean hotel, but housekeeping unreliable - Hotel Room (5/5)
We went for a Premier Plus room, which we were very pleased with. This was clean & the room was very quiet, & overall we had an enjoyable week in Northern Ireland.
Restaurant (4/5)
We have read some negative comments in regard to the restaurant, kitchen issues & slow service. We went to your restaurant twice & were overall happy with the service & food provided.
Housekeeping (1/5)
We were staying for a week in a Premier Plus room & asked that each day housekeeping would come in to clean & replenish the bottled water, coffee & tea & chocolates. But apart from the first day, this never happened. Each day we would come back & have to go down to reception to ask for items for the room. It states that we would need to request housekeeping the day before, but we were assured a few times during our stay that they had made a note & the room would be cleaned.
Twice during our week, I recall the person on reception noted that we were the couple staying for a week & asking for the room to be cleaned & replenished daily, so it is not that this was not known by staff. And at least twice I checked with the person on reception that housekeeping would be in each day for the rest of our stay, & each time they made a note on the system, assuring us that it would be done.
One day whilst leaving, we even asked the lady doing housekeeping that our room was to be cleaned & replenished & she said if we had requested then we would be on the list. When we returned later, it had not been done again.
Reception Staff (4/5)
Each staff member on the reception desk was polite & helpful. And each time I went down to complain that housekeeping had not been to do our room, they were very apologetic & made sure that we had the items replenished in our room. The only reason I have only given 4/5 is that somehow our request for housekeeping was possibly not passed on to them.
So overall, we enjoyed our week in Lisburn & if we came back to the area we would consider using this Premier Inn again, but will just make sure our room was replenished daily.
- machinmad (6/5): Just okay ... - The place looks like Starlag 13 as you drive in, because the adjoining restaurant is boarded-up and fenced off. Check-in took a while. Our room was pretty standard PI, so no issues there. The receptionist suggested we go to the local pub, rather than eat at the PI. The food there was plain, but good value for money.
Get a room facing the car park; rooms on the opposite side suffer from the motorway noise all night long.
We secured a good rate, so a good valued stay.
- Roving23457218306 (10/5): Tarbock Premier Inn - The girls at reception were very helpful and friendly. Good clean facilities on site.
I had a restful and peaceful night.
- J766LOdawnr (10/5): Family visit - We were visiting Family in Huyton. We booked online. Arrived about 7pm. We were greeted with a smile. Room was immaculate, as was the bathroom, WiFi was easy to access & very good. Bed was so comfortable & there was extra pillows provided. Went for breakfast in the morning, it is small but spotlessly clean & all you want for continental and traditional English. Chef was a good one & staff amazing. Julie * Jenny were great. We will definitely be back
- peterkS3600MO (4/5): Book somewhere else - The main restaurant was closed and the site looked derelict on arrival. I thought I'd come to the wrong place. The 'interim' restaurant was small and not well-equipped with a limited menu which was largely oven-baked food. There was no warning of this when booking and the meal deal prices were the same as the standard offer for better service in other Premier Inns.
Generally Premier Inn is good and great value for money. This wasn't. Book another location if you possibly can.
- L1687MNraya (6/5): Not as expected - Normal restaurant/bar closed the kids playground was also closed.
The alternative set up was ok but we would have booked elsewhere if I was aware of the changes to the normal premier inn set up.
Staff where great, premier inn should be thankful for their efforts manning the kitchen and reception at the same time.
- jennifereD7039JB (2/5): Would not recommend this hotel - Poor stay. The driveway and outside of the hotel is not very welcoming next to an empty/boarded up pub. Staff were friendly and the room was fine. However on the last night of the stay the lights started flickering then the fire alarm went off and we were evacuated outside where fire trucks and the gas board turned up to try and find the issue. We were stuck outside for almost 2 hours then told there was no guarantee of getting back in that night so to find somewhere else. There was no offer to transfer to another hotel. I managed to find another premier inn but this was more expensive. The manager at the hotel told me i would get a refund from the hotel processed straightaway but 2 days later nothing so i had to resort to a call to national customer service to get this sorted. Thankfully they were very helpful and got the refund processed but i would not return to this hotel again.
- W5597EUkenm (8/5): Ideal - Everything you want really for a budget hotel. Was only there overnight but room was good, clean and comfy. Staff very plesant.
- mummywilliamson (10/5): weekend away - We had a lovely stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was very clean. The meal deal was extremely good value. Thank you
- KennyfromLancashire (6/5): Premier Inn restaurant no better than a cafe - The restaurant facility was a small room and a tad cramped, however that was not the disappointment.
Menu choice abysmal
Choice of 3 small plates/starters - chip, tacos, chicken
Choice of 6 mains, 2 different pizzas, 2 curries, fish/chips, pasta
Choice of 3 deserts, chocolate brownie, ice cream, fruit salad
Premier Inn what the hell has happened.
Suffice to say Tarbock is great for a sleep but order a take away.
- karenbN9929SV (10/5): Disappointing breakfast - We stayed as visiting Liverpool for a event great friendly staff clean and tidy hotel shame about the breakfast The English breakfast was cold the bread that was provided for tasting was hard as nails and the worse thing is I’m lactose intolerant and I was asked if I have any allergies but the lactose free milk couldn’t be provided only soya milk which unfortunately I don’t like I understand you can’t cater for all needs but one choice is not good in the 21 century Due to this I couldn’t have cereal or a hot drink and my breakfast was cold I had to wait 15 min for my vegetarian sausage and by this point I had eaten everything else Very disappointed
- Coastal47314451840 (2/5): The Inn that was far from being Premier - The general condition of this hotel is very poor. Very dated.
The extract fan didn't work great in the bathroom, meaning it was a very damp and very smelly bathroom with black mould on the tiles round the shower and all over the ceiling and walls. The manager did send the cleaners in to "wipe the ceiling" during our stay, but the mould certainly wasn't gone, and nor was the bad, damp smell.
The pull out bed my son slept on had really seen better days, being very lumpy, uncomfortable and noisy to sleep on.
The WiFi was very, very poor. The result of which meant that the smart tv you've spent money on, didn't work. The picture and sound was absolutely atrocious, unwatchable.
Overall, this hotel was not somewhere pleasant to unwind after a long day and fell so far short of the usual great Premier Inn standards, and needs some much needed tlc.
- mattc0 (10/5): Great Hotel Stay. - Excellent as usual, such friendly staff, everyone is so focussed on making sure your experience is the best possible one.
It is very easy to book in the first place online and the rooms are always the high standard we have become accustomed to.
The Breakfasts were excellent and we stayed in for an evening meal which was very good too.
Thanks for such a pleasant stay.
- Caroline-CLP351 (4/5): Nice staff shame about the rooms - I stayed here one night on business, at checking my colleagues and I were asked to state our nationality. This was a little surprising as I’ve never been asked it before. But have learnt this relates to the legal obligation under the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972.
The staff were all lovely, however the rooms are very in need of a refresh. I had to request an alternative room as the first one given smelt of smoke, thankfully this was addressed promptly and I was given another room. This second room however was not the best as the bathroom had what appeared to be mould in the grout and the complimentary soap dispensers were visibly dirty with a collection of limescale and in need of replacement. Privacy was also an issue as I couldn’t open the curtains as the room faced a main road where there was lots of traffic in the morning. There was a standard breakfast offering in the morning but for an evening meal it was extremely limited with no real heathy options and only tinned wine.
- PipYork (10/5): Lovely, warm welcome. - Stayed here on my way to Yorkshire and needed a bed for the night. Location on the edge of a business park. Ignore the now defunct Brewer’s Fayre as you approach - very depressing. The Premier Inn itself was clean, cosy and comfortable and the staff were all outstandingly welcoming, friendly and cheerful. They couldn’t do enough to help. The evening meal was tasty and although a limited selection, it did the job. Next morning’s breakfast was a normal Premier Inn breakfast served by friendly staff. They new Studio - restaurant has been well thought out and I was impressed. As an overnight stop, I couldn’t fault my stay. Thank you.
- N7122URrichardc (10/5): Best Premier Inn - An excellent Premier Inn that still maintains the standards of Premier Inn in years gone by. Clean and tidy with the friendliest team.
Shame that the Brewers Fayre attached has been closed down but still a warm and pleasant place to come and stay.
- estherh692 (10/5): Fantastic - The mattress was absolutely gorgeous best 2 nights sleep I've ever had would love it at home.
Hotel location was perfect 10 minutes away from our friends homes.
Food was fantastic and ample choice for cooked and continental choices.
Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Everywhere was very clean and spotless.
Loved the little restaurant that has been added.
Perfect stay and will definitely be back
Very reasonably priced
- YorkshireStephenS (2/5): Premier Inn ? - Never Again - We have stayed in Premier Inn's many times both in the UK and overseas but this was far and away the worst hotel experience we have ever had. It is very doubtful that we will stay at Premier Inn again after this experience and learning about the Brewers Fayre / Beefeater restaurants being sold off to the likes of McDonalds and replaced with garbage.
Food choices very limited, food of very poor quality (how can you de-hydrate baked beans ??)
- P4686DEhannahl (10/5): Staff - Staff are outstanding
Very lovely and very helpful
Stayed here as housing put me here homeless and I can’t fault this team of staff atall! Would like to say thank you for a lovely stay
House keeping staff also very lovely an down to earth very helpful
- drago_o543 (10/5): An unexpectedly pleasant surprise! + Parking - The pillows were fluffy, the bed had just the right amount of spring to it, there was adequate space for a double room, and most importantly everything was CLEAN. The restaurant meal deal is a real bargain, and the quality and quantity was surprisingly good for a hotel. Lisa and Isabela were warm and professional and made me feel like I was a regular my whole life, returning again to my usual, although it was my first visit.
Their restaurant booking system seemed to take WAY to long (someone should look into streamlining that stuff guys, c'mon), but between a bit of banter and some questions about my day, Lisa managed to make it look like nothing, despite the fact that I was aware she was up to her neck in helping the restaurant sort out their busy dinner period.
Although I witnessed some guests being really self-entitled and nasty about their meals, Isabela never let that get to her, and by the time she came to my table, she was smiling again, recommending me wines to go with my main course.
If every Premier Inn experience was like this one, I wouldn't want to hear of other lodging options.
