- Obioha (8/5): - Rent rum, trevlig personal.
- nicklel2025 (10/5): Super customer serviceI don't need to add photos - 19.45 Wednesday 3rd December 25
Andy the Premier Inn receptionist was very helpful and told me everything I need to know i certainly recommend andy because he has great customer service.Skills
- xkr2002 (8/5): Could do better - Room could have been cleaner. Fluff on headboard. Mark on duvet.
Disabled facilities in room not needed or requested.
Breakfast warm, not hot.
- DayVsupport (4/5): Staff are great - Rooms are very very poor - I book Premier Inn rooms to stay at while on business. I often have to work in the evenings. The rooms here at Basildon Rayleigh are very small. The long side tables/desks have all been removed.
The first room we were given the lights did not work except for beside the bed. It was very dull and impossible to work in. The next room we were given for an upgrade price was upstairs at the end of the corridor in Premier Plus. The room was bright and only a little bigger. However here the heating did not work unless turned up to 24° and then the room baked. Turn it down to 22° and the cooling came on and froze you. Reception gave us an oil filled radiator.
My wife who accompanies me on business and enjoys looking round the local areas has mobility problems and had to stay in the room for two full days because she could the keep going up and down the stairs and down the long corridor. We had booked a ground floor room.
I will not be staying here again, and before I book any more Premier rooms for business I will check out the photos on the webpage. I was working with a large local college for four days. They told me that the Ofsted inspectors don't stay at this premiering at this Premier Inn which is the nearest hotel, rather they stay with another chain that I won't mention here but you can research and are located in the near vicinity.
- Scenic31841324309 (10/5): Wonderful hospitality - Fabulous hospitality. Bobby was very attentive to my party. He ensured we were well watered and fed, and well informed. I felt very 'seen and heard'. Thank you
- K3000IVemmam (10/5): Bobby is the best 👌 xx - Bobby!!!! Is all over customer service and very much appreciated he multi skills!! check in running the bar and just being BEAUTIFUL 😍 THANK YOU BOBBY 😊 XX
- westgrandboulevard (10/5): Second Stay - to what already feels like Second Home - Our first visit was in October, and now a swift return stay in November. Premier Plus room 226, very clean and comfortable. While double glazed, it does overlook the A127, so we had guessed there would be some traffic noise, but actually found it didn't disturb us. In the event it had, then ear plugs would seem easy to use, if we had indeed been light sleepers, or could perhaps ask for availability of a room which overlooks car park. Well lit signage in communal areas. Great value, when considering the comfort and amenities, and very convenient for visiting Raleigh. Really notable for the friendly yet while always very professional team members. A great pleasure to again see Andy's friendly face, and enjoy his helpful, positive approach to any enquiry. Also to meet cheerful and attentive Fay, together with James the chef, at breakfast (our first experience, and more please...) - and Sophie and Katie, who were changing other rooms and were good fun to meet in the hall as we checked out. For what we paid, the team at Rayleigh effortlessly lifted the general perception of service to an altogether different level. Thanks to all for everything, and more visits to be booked very soon, and will be eagerly anticipated!
- F6690HXstephenb (10/5): Warm welcome. Good town centre location. - Warm welcome at reception. Comfy room and bed. Great location to visit the town (less than 5 minute walk) and the Anvil theatre (less than 10 minute walk). Tasty, hot breakfast with plenty of choice.
- jebbied2025 (10/5): Great hotel and staff - My son stayed in this hotel on his own for the first time tonight and we would like to say how lovely Andy on Reception was. He went out of his way to make sure my son was comfortable and had everything he needed. He was very observant and tuned in to my sons nerves and made his stay less nerve racking. Hotel was as always clean and comfortable 10/10 and 11/10 for Andy, thank you
- paulsO6770UR (10/5): Perfect - I stayed here again sat 8th and sun 9th November. It's become a go to place to stay for me when I visit my mother in a nearby care home. As usual I had a great stay and the staff are fantastic. Big shout out for Bobby,he really does know the meaning of fantastic customer service. Area and country wide management of premier Inn take note👍👍👍
- helenmY1208ID (10/5): These guys deserve the best Christmas bonus ever! They're such a great team! Possibly one of the best hotel stays ever! - I've stayed at a fair few Premier Inns over the years and this is honestly the most warma and welcoming one imaginable. The staff here are beyond attentive! The whole team are incredible. Welcoming, warm, polite, attentive.
The rooms are immaculate, clean, well laid out and have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The food is tasty, hot, generously sized portions and served in good time.
I have literally nothing negative to say!
Thank you, and well done, to all the team here - Bobby, Suhas, Claire, Alam, Irene and David - keep up the great work and I hope you're managers appreciate you as much as I have during my stay!
- markwJ4467YI (10/5): Great place - Stayed for a great couple of nights,
The two gentlemen who greeted and arranged meals etc, outstanding.
Hospitality at its best,
All staff where frendly and attentative, couldnt ask for any more, above and beyond exspectations for service.
Hotel was great, clean, restaurant offered good food and beverages, its located very close to parking and town.
- ShefaliR26 (10/5): Great stay - Clean and Comfortable overnight stay! - Had a fantastic one-night stopover at Premier Inn Basingstoke Town Centre. The staff were incredibly welcoming at check-in and continued to provide excellent service during breakfast and check-out. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered great value for money. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis right outside, with additional options nearby if needed. Highly recommend for a convenient and pleasant stay.
- VeraH121 (10/5): Brilliant Reception - Polite and helpful staff when I first entered the reception area. And Andy, the staff gave me the room which is close to the reception as I was travelling on my own. He was polite, genuine, helpful and nice. The checkout the morning after was also quick. The price was right. I had the best experience at Basildon Rayleigh hotel Premier Inn, compared to other Premier Inn (and other hotels) hotels.
- nishmam2021 (10/5): Great location, vfm and friendly staff - This is a well run premier inn with helpful friendly staff. Great location, a few minutes walk from the town centre and Haymarket Theatre.
- margarethV725ZJ (10/5): Excellent location-Excellent room- Bed so comfy- Excellent Staff- Excellent tasty Breakfast - Just had a lovely weekend away visiting family and friends. We decided to stay at the Premier Inn Rayleigh Rayleigh Weir for location.
I don't know where to start but from booking this was so easy online and could check in online too a breeze. We arrived later in the evening and welcomed by a lovely lady on the desk. We were on the first floor room 216. The Inn is spotlessly clean and the corridors nicely lit. When we opened the door the room smelt lovely and fresh and exactly like the photos. Loved the design of the room . We had everything we could need including complimentary tea and coffees. Lovely big TV screen on the wall. Wonderful lighting especially in bathroom loved the lilac coloured down light that gave a lovely spa effect. Massive shower and towels too (only one tip if two guests staying you need to smaller towels) You can get one from reception.
Now the one thing we all want when we go somewhere is a great nights sleep. Well our heads hit the pillow and even though the A127 was outside our window it wasn't any trouble the double glazing unit was a good. We slept solid and woke refreshed. The shower was amazing and loved the heater we could control in the bedroom. There was a fan there if you needed it but being October we didn't. (Air con I think you'd need in hot weather but not this weekend.
Breakfast firstly the lady on the reception wished us good morning and then we went to the breakfast area. The ladies that were on duty greeted us and it was lovely to see people enjoying their jobs. They couldn't do enough for us explained how everything worked. On Sunday morning it was a buffet breakfast help yourself. So much food if you wanted it. We had a cooked breakfast and some toast and tea. All excellent and even though a lot of guest had come down for 8 am. everyone was treated the same and the breakfast room had a lovely calmness about it. I have to say for £10.99 so much great quality food for the price. We don't eat a lot breakfast time but decided on a small cooked breakfast but did see some guests piling their plates and going back for more. It was never a problem. This morning we were the only guests in breakfast at 7:45 and today they take your order at the table. A very nice man took our order. Again breakfast was delicious.
Must congratulate the chef and kitchen staff they kept the buffet running excellently Saturday morning . All hot and plenty of it. That takes some organisation with lots of guests coming in at the same time and not having to wait for refills.
The whole Premier Inn Rayleigh Weir Team were amazing. Excellent Customer Service and friendly too, We will be back.
We did try the Harvester next door for a meal in the evening. They aren't linked with Premier Inn) I'm sure if they were the food would of been tasty and the food too. Service was awful in there too.
What's important to say is Premier Inn Rayleigh is excellent as are their team.
- ampslave (6/5): Average - Hotel is located well for town centre. Staff were excellent. Shower was cold, mixer valve may have been faulty so wasn't mixing the hot and cold water. Bed was uncomfortable. Windows couldn't be opened, on purpose, so no fresh air in room was possible, o only from ac.
- bredashing (10/5): Comfortable, friendly, central hotel - The Basingstoke Premier Inn is a comfortable, friendly, central hotel. Good bed and bath/shower plus freshly cooked breakfast.
- Flyer04535780452 (10/5): Bobby was great - My wife and I had a lovely night when we stayed this weekend. A special mention must go to Bobby. He was really friendly and attentive. A real asset to the company. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I must also mention Claire who was also very friendly and cooked us our excellent meals. We will be returning at some point and its largely down to Bobby and Claire
- toniibajio (10/5): Andy is the best - Andy on reception was extremely helpful and professional ! 5 star customer service . Thank you 😍. We need more Andy's in the world
- stevebintley (10/5): Great value for the central location - Everything you’d expect from the chain with no disappointments! Checking in was welcoming with friendly staff and there’s a nice bar area adjacent to the lobby. My room on the first floor was spotlessly clean with views over the car park and remained silent throughout the night. The location of the hotel is great, being an easy walk to the centre of town and I would certainly stay here again.
- C5094JEsimonj (8/5): Bobby - Bobby on reception is a customer service delight
So friendly and honestly can’t to enough for you
Premier inn you need to recognise this
- davecY4251OB (10/5): Great overnight stay - slept very well. - Highly recommended for a short/overnight stay. Good value. Very very clean room. Staff polite and attentive . The adverts for premier inns harp on about the comfy beds. I can tell you they are are VERY comfy. Breakfast service is excellent and good value. I couldn't find any fault and would reccomeded to anybody. Well done guys!
- ColmM697 (10/5): Super service - recommended 100% - Lovely staff. Had an issue with air con - sorted out without fuss. Lovely first class service at dinner by the lovely lady in the restaurant. The young fella at check in was also first rate and in total they made me totally welcome. I have changed my previous negative prejudice about the “Purple Palace” and will stay here here again when next in town.
- K4346AAterryc (10/5): Bobby's Your Uncle! - I always try to stay at Premier Inn hotels as you can almost guarantee a decent night's sleep. Normally, however the food is provided by an adjacent pub or similar.
This location provided food in house which was much better.
A colleague and I arrived at about 4.30pm on Tuesday 9th September, tired, hungry and thirsty.
We we greeted by the concierge on duty, a young man named Bobby. I have to say that if being a great host was an Olympic sport, Bobby would win a gold medal!. He was extremely polite, professional and very clear with the information he provided, answering all our questions clearly. He also served us at dinner and again, faultless in his attention to us and how he could ensure our dinner was just right.
He had a great sense of humour as well and I can honestly say that after a long and hard day, Bobby was the perfect remedy. Premier Inn have got a diamond in Bobby. I will most definitely be staying at this site next time I need to be in Basingstoke overnight.
Thanks Bobby!!!
- Quest63962047567 (10/5): Breakfast - Went for breakfast food was cooked very good Quality and the chef was very friendly called Claire. Will come again for breakfast next I want to try there dinner menu
- victor190214 (10/5): Amazing service Bobby and Claire - Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Bobby and Claire, who promptly assisted with parking arrangements. Their exceptional service has significantly enhanced my perception of the Premier Inn brand. I would like to formally commend these individuals to the management for their outstanding contributions.
- P1606QIsarahb (10/5): Great place to stay - Great customer service- from checking in late last night to breakfast this morning everyone was helpful and friendly.
Very clean place-lovely rooms- comfy beds.
Would definitely stay again
- 577roisinb (8/5): Great - Starting with negative, the room was too hot. 25° and couldn't fix.
Positives were the staff, they were just brilliant. So helpful, chatty and efficient. Couldn't do enough!
Fay and the chef, think his name was John or James, terrific and Jackie and Sophie on reception wonderful also. I had vegan breakfast which was tasty. The bed was so comfortable and the room clean.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
- GloucesterWiz (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Warm welcome. Easy parking. Lovely room. Clean, modern, not tired. Excellent facilities in room. Location is great however it does mean some of the rooms are facing a very busy road. Double glazing is extremely good but doesn't get rid of all the noise.
- louisehY8056KW (8/5): Typical Premier Inn - comfortable - Convenient hotel for Basingstoke centre. Very clean room and bathroom. Big, comfortable beds. Friendly , helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.
Car parking is next door to the hotel. You have to pay for it.
The temperature in our room was too hot, but the staff member was able to turn it down centrally when we asked.
No water glasses in the room.
- gaoler1234 (10/5): No complaints at all - First stay at this location, hotel quite small which was fine, staff were all friendly and efficient, room as expected, decent nights sleep, very quiet even though we were on the ground floor with the carpark outside, shared with the Harvester next door. Bonus of plated breakfast this morning, not buffet, much prefer this but suited the hotel to do it this way based on bookings. Happy to stay here again if in the area.
- stumpyBirmingham_UK (6/5): Excellent location; some points of clarity required - Whilst the website makes it clear that there is no car parking it appeared that there was car parking right outside the premises although limited spaces. It's unclear who is allowed to park here although all spaces were taken.
Upon arrival was asked to repeat and document exactly the same as I'd already done having completed the online check in. Makes the online check in superfluous.
Rooms are smaller than the average Premier Inn but okay.
Excellent location for the town centre.
- 242traceyj (2/5): Really Dissapointed - Room was over 27 degrees, window didn't open and no air conditioning just a little table fan that barely worked ,couldn't stay in the room and had no others available so we left ,totally ruined our night out as we had to drive and couldn't enjoy our sons 40th birthday party.
It was also very noisy as its on a roundabout of a main busy road.
Very poor for Premier Inn,definitely would not recommend.
I have complained and am waiting for a response as I would like a refund or at least part refund
- helen752015 (4/5): Fawlty Towers without the laughs - No one on reception when we arrived, and both self-service kiosks out of order. Toilet for customers on first floor was absolutely disgusting. Had not been cleaned for some time by the looks of it. Bed was rock hard and bumpy. Wifi is basically unusable unless you upgrade to the 'ultimate wifi' which was £5 a person. Staff not particularly friendly apart from one lovely lady in the kitchen at breakfast who was apologetic about how short staffed they were. I wasn't expecting 5 star treatment obviously, but this was pretty grim in parts.
- LE60 (8/5): Good experience - On the whole good hotel to stay in. The warm welcome at reception, the room/bedding was clean, facilities, tea/coffee/mugs etc very good and you can replenish at the reception as you need to. Couple of small points, the toilet paper was very poor quality and we had to use reams of it to suit purpose! If you're going to leave the shower gel/hand containers that have been used, clean them please especially around the tops.
Breakfast, the choices were excellent, covered all palettes and alergy/vegan requirements. The quality of the food 😋 nom nom, however, it was only just luke warm which let it down a little and better care of making sure napkins/cutlery are replaced and ready for use would be helpful. I would recommend this hotel, added bonus of having a Harvester right next door, perfect. Great service, great food.a 👍 👌
- 387bigg (10/5): Very good hotel - Very comfortable beds. Everything was spotless and clean. Although there was no air-conditioning, ghe room had a fan and it was cool enough.
- W7523SShenryr (10/5): - Efficient and welcoming receptionist. Beautiful clean and modern rooms. Free WiFi,Usb plugin, Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
- glenj924 (10/5): 100% - I love the Premier Inn brand. Never any surprises. Given a friendly welcome on arrival. The room spotlessly clean. Excellent 1 nights sleep. Unlimited full english breakfast and as a bonus free parking.
Thank you.
- netajir2025 (8/5): Comfortable and safe stay on a budget for the family - Perfect for families on a budget and you get nice comfort stay in return.
Warm welcome at reception and people are friendly around.
On the downside, Breakfast options are very limited and not impressive, unless you are happy with a few regular breads.
- D7327SQpatriciaw (8/5): A good night's sleep - The bed was just as at home very comfortable with crisp cotton bedding, everywhere in the hotel was clean..
plus
Great coffee
